Benefits of the Son of God no. 29
Understand How to use the Power
of the Spoken Word

The twenty eighth benefit or promise of God to us
concerning our believing in His Son is that we receive the same Power of the
Spoken Word that He received, but we will only use it when the Father shows us
to use it as He also showed us by example. For our text we can read from Luke
chapter 4.
Luke 4: 1-4 ¶ And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from
Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days
tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat
nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3 And the devil said
unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this
stone that it be made bread. 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but
by every word of God.
Now, I want you to notice
here that although Jesus was hungry, and he had the ability to speak the Word
over creation and change the stones into Bread, he did not use it and would not
use it unless the Father showed Him to do so. We know sometime later he changed
the water into wine, so the Power of the spoken word was there,a
nd he showed that he knew how to use it, and satan knew that if this is the son of God he therefore was
given this power, so he tempted the son of God when he was hungry to try to use
this power for self, and the selfless one said no to this temptation, and
surrendered over his own will to the will of God, and he said, “man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word of God.”
Now, brother Branham said
that the Bride will have “Thus Saith the Lord or she
will keep still”. Now, among those among us in this message that left pentecost but pentecost never
left them, they think this means that the Bride is to
go around saying, “Thus saith the Lord this and Thus Saith the Lord that”. But that
is just simple stupidity and a lack of understanding the Scriptures, and the
nature of God. If we understand the Scripures
correctly, that has never happened and I can guarantee you by the very nature
of God that, that will never happen. Why can I make this guarantee? Because “Thus saith the Lord”,
simply means, “The Lord has Said Thus,” And in this way when Brother Branham
said, “The Bride
will have Thus Saith the Lord or she will keep still”, what he is
saying is that she will know the Word of the Lord and she will have his Mind
and therefore she will know what he wants done with his own word, and
therefore, she will only say what God has already said, in the situation for
which God wants it said, or she will keep still. Let’s just look at this
statement brother Branham makes in the sermon, The
Spoken word is the original Seed.
Spoken word original seed 62-0318E P:175 Notice,
what harmony. Jesus never did anything
until seen of the Father or the Father showed Him first: (Harmony between
God and Christ. See? John 5:19) So will
the Bride, and He shows Her His Word of Life (He shows Her), and she receives It. She never doubts it.
Nothing can harm Her, not even death; for if the Seed be planted, the water
will raise it up again. Amen. (Now, I got a great big "Hallelujah.") Here is the secret: the Word is in the Bride
and the mind of Christ to know what He wants done with the Word, and She
does it in His Name.
She
has THUS SAITH THE LORD. Then it is germitized; so the Holy Spirit
waters it until it is grown and serves its purpose. They do only His will. (Amen. I'll believe that.) No one can persuade them different. They have THUS SAITH THE LORD, or they
keep still. Then they will do the works of God. For it is Himself in them, continuing His Word to fulfill as He did
complete in His day. All things when He was here, He did not complete all
when He was here, for it was not time yet.
Now, that is exactly what I was saying in the opening
statement, and that is what the 28th benefit to us is concerning our
understanding the relationship between the Father and His Son.
I know that many teach that the Bride
will have the third pull and that when the time comes they will use it. Many
focus on this third pull as if it is some mysterious thing,
when it is not mysterious at all. The simple matter is that the third
pull was evidenced on several occasions, and brother Branham always linked it
with the Power of the Spoken Word. Now, I would like to read for you the last
three times that brother Branham spoke about the Third pull.

Now, let’s stop here because
this Sword that appeared in his hand was told him that it is the Sword of the
King, which is the Word of God that was [;aced in his
hand. Now, in scripture we are told in Ephesians
And again
in Hebrews 4: 12 we read, For
the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of
soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the
thoughts and intents of the heart.
Now, the next to the last time that brother Branham
spoke about the third pull was in the morning of July 25th, 1965 in the sermon Anointed ones
at end time P:189. Notice
carefully in this sermon how he describes this Third Pull to the people. “Notice the very day when this messenger, not when he starts
on the, but when he begins to declare his Message. See? The First Pull,
healing; Second Pull, prophesying; Third
Pull, the opening of the Word, the mysteries revealed. There's no more higher order to reveal the Word than prophets. But the only way the prophet can be a-vindicated is
by the Word. And remember the Third
Pull was the opening of them Seven Seals to reveal the hidden Truth that's been
sealed in the Word. Do you see it? It is then, in that day when this thing
is to take place that Jannes and Jambres, the impersonators, will appear again,
just like they did when Moses appeared with the original Word to say it; they
appear to impersonate it. Just exactly right. Now, you see what Matthew 24:24
is? See? Anointed ones.
So we see by this last quote, the Third Pull had to do
with the opening of the Word and the revealing of the mysteries, and then he
finishes by telling us the third pull was the opening of the seven seals to
reveal the hidden truth that had been sealed in the Word.
Now, that still does not
answer the question so many have concerning the third
pull. But this next quote which is the third from the last time brother Branham
mentioned the Third Pull and in it he tells us the Third pull was not given to
him to do with it what he wanted to do, but what God had sovereignly told Him
what to do. During a questions and answers session, brother Branham was asked a
question about the third pull and being able to use it to speak the Bride into perfection for the rapture. And I want you to
carefully see what his response was.

this the third pull and is speaking the
Word. It seems entirely possible for you to speak the word and one would be
completely and fully restored, placed entirely ready for the rapture in the
resurrection, the Son of man. This is so, or is it
not? And you would do this if properly pressed upon. Would you not
"escape all these things (it's got a ditto there) escape all these things
and stand before the Son of man"? (Luke 21:36) Now,
my dear friend. See? Now, I think here that you got a good statement. Yes, sir.
Yes, sir. Now, that would be so. You said, "Brother Branham..." In
other words, here's what I'm... I believe ... Not polishing up what you said,
but I believe I can make it a little clearer to people. See? You are believing,
because of the Spoken Words and things like that that He said about. And all of
you here witnessed the squirrels and all these other things that's been done.
But did you notice, that was Sovereignly given. I never asked Him, "Lord, let me
do this, speak these things in like that, do these things there." I never asked Him that. He by His own
Divine will came to me and said,
"You go do this." See? I wasn't
asking one thing about it. Moses never asked to go down in Egypt, but was God that sent him down to Egypt. See?
So you see, even if the Bride had the Third Pull she
could never use it until God told her to use it. Remember what William Branham
said in the sermon, The Spoken Word is the Original
Seed 62-0318E P:175 He was

So you see the 28th benefit to the Elect that
we receive from understanding the revelation of the Son of God, or shall we say
the 28th benefit we receive from understanding the relationship
between the Father and the Son is that we will only do with God’s word what God
has already told us to do with His word. We will know His word and His mind
concerning His Word, and we will only do with it what that Mind tells us to do.
Here
is the secret: the Word is in
the Bride and the mind of Christ to know what He wants
done with the Word, and She does it in His Name.
She

And Paul told us in I CORINTHIANS
So you can see that the whole
thing comes right down to whether we have the mind of God or we do not have the
mind of God. For if we do not have the mind of God, He could never trust us
with His Word. But if we have His Mind, then we will know what He wants done
with His Word, and we will not do anything until He shows us what to do and
when to di it. The hat must be on the chair if you
know what I mean. Brother Branham could not pronounce “Thus saith the Lord
until the vision was completely acted out in it’s entirety and every detail had come to pass. Thus in the particular vision I am referring to the hat had
to be on the chair before he could pronounce “Thus saith the Lord that person
would be healed.”
And that is exactly what
Jesus Himself said that He could do nothing unless the Father showed Him what
to do and when to do it, and that is the role of the obedient son.
The first time God spoke He
said Let there be Light” and that is the first. Then what will be the last?
“Let there be light.” For the Alpha Must become Omega, and he is the same
yesterday today and forever.
Man that can turn on light 63-1229M P:31 Now,
when you see His Word being vindicated, or other words, made known, proved,
that is a--the Light of His spoken Word. And without light nothing can live,
without light. There is no life upon the earth today that--but what has to come by the--the light of
the sun, in--in botany life and so forth. And there's no Eternal Life outside
of the Son of God. See? He is the Light.Now, we find
out, I believe, as we study now... And this light... The earth was without form.Now, some people argue today
in their schools and so forth about the world being so many million years old,
and try to condemn the Bible, and say It's wrong; they just don't never read
the Bible; that's all. Because the Bible don't tell us how old the world is;
the Bible said, "In the beginning God created heavens and earth
(period!)." When, how, that's--we don't know it. Now, that's the first,
and that's a "period"; that's the end of that sentence.
Man that can turn on light 63-1229M P:48 There's
nothing can give you Life but the spoken Word of God.
It's the only way that Life can come is through His spoken Word.That's
all right to know how to split a
atom; I wished they'd never found it out. But if they... They have to do it, because this world is hanging today... It had
to happen to burst these big holes in the earth to let that lava come forth and
rejuvenate this world again to make a new earth, where righteous will walk out
upon the dust of the wicked, where sin will be forgotten. Everything has a way
of renewing itself. And man who was given to live on
this earth, by his own wisdom, taking the tree of knowledge instead of the Tree
of Life, he'll destroy the earth that God give him to live on. But those who
are still on the Tree of Life shall come to a new heavens
and a new earth where there is no sickness or death. Light, Light, Lord, send
us Light.
There shall
be light, in the evening time, the path to glory you will surely find.
In the water
way there is light today, buried in the name of Jesus Christ
Young and
old repent of all your sins, the Holy Ghost will surely enter in,
The evening
light is come, it is a fact that God and Christ are one.
And how are they One? SHOW US THE FATHER IT'LL SATISFY
56-0422 E-36 Now, it's many times it's been
said that no man can see God at anytime, the Bible
said so. But the only begotten of the Father has declared Him. Philip, here was
very inquisitive; he wanted to see the Father. Says
here He said, "I've been so long with you, Philip, and you don't know
Me?" Said, "When you see Me you see My Father." In other words, you see the Father express Himself through the Son. Him and the Father
were one in the sense that His Father was dwelling in Him, not Him doing the
works; He was a Son, Himself, the immortal, virgin born, Son of God. And
then in Him was dwelling the God the Father, expressing Himself to the world,
His attitude towards the people. See? Well, that's how Christ and God were one.
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. Now, He said, "When
you see Me, you see the Father, and why do you say, 'Show us the Father?'
