Christ Revealed in His Own Word # 10

Time Blending With Eternity

Sunday Morning April 21, 1996

[ Brian Kocourek, Pastor Grace Fellowship]

Wednesday night we continued in our study of brother Branham's opening prayer  from his Message Christ Revealed in His Own Word, where he said,  "we believe that we're ending up this world's history now, and soon time will fade into eternity; and we want to be ready for that hour. That's why we have assembled here this morning, is to prepare for that time.  So we see that the world's history is now ending, and time is fading, it is disappearing slowly, ever so slowly, and because it is fading so slowly many are missing the events which constitute the end of time as we know it.

Þ    In [Rev 10: 7] where we read the words, "and time shall be no more" the literal translation is " and "time shall be no more delayed."

Brother Branham is praying that we will be ready for this entering into Eternity and so He tells us via this opening prayer that this Message and our gathering to this Message of Christ Revealed in His Own Word has something to do with our preparation for this great event of time fading out and eternity beginning. Oh, brothers and sisters, don't get so bogged down in your every day lives that you miss what God has in store for those that Love His Appearing.

Þ    We see in [Deut 28 : 1- 2 ] That if we take heed to the Voice of God that all these blessings will not only come upon us but shall overtake us. Now this is like in a race when you have your eyes set on the goal tine. And he is telling us that as they come upon us we will not even see them coming but they will soon not only come upon us but they will overtake us and we will be swept up into the current of the tide. But this tide is God sent to take our boats home to Glory. But on the other hand, those who do not pay close heed to the Voice of God, curses will come upon them and overtake them as we read in [verse 15].

Þ    Did not Jesus Warn us to be ever watchful and praying for this hour to come? Let's read again [Luke 21: 36]  and now let's close with [ Mark 13: 29 - 37].

Now this morning I would like to continue with pp. #2 as we read, "I am told that there are many of the telephone hooks-ups this morning across the nation, from coast to coast. Wherever our voices is coming, may that little group be blessed. Heal the sick that's among them. 3 And I pray that You'll cleanse their souls from all evil. Help us here this morning at the Tabernacle that we also may enjoy that great privilege. And we ask that You'll speak to us today through Thy written Word, and may the Spirit reveal to us the things that we have need of, as we have gathered nationwide now, feeling that we are a small people, but have a place among the redeemed, because we have believed on Jesus Christ. 4  Grant these things to us, Lord, and when we close the service and we go to our different homes across the nation, may we say like those from Emmaus, "Did not our hearts burn within us as He spoke to us along the road?"   5  Now, Father, I know that whatever I would say would be certainly insufficient. With the--the fine Christians throughout the nation now that's tuned in, it wouldn't be--it wouldn't be adequate. It would not be something that I could say that could do any good, because we're all in the same category. We're human, mortals, but let the great Holy Spirit speak; may He take ahold the Word and just reveal Himself. We're waiting on Him now, in Jesus' Name. Amen. (May be seated.)"Now what is the Great event associated with the end - time? Is it not the Revelation of Jesus Christ? Who He is and Why He has Come down? Did not brother Branham tell us that the very purpose of His ministry  was "To declare Christ, That He is here!"  So, then what we are looking at in this opening prayer is that this Message Christ Revealed in His Own Word is given to us for a preparation for Eternity, for a cleansing of our sinful souls, For a cleansing of our sinful minds. Then if we are to be cleansed by the washing of water by the Word, I believe that our hope all lies in this One Focused thought of Christ Revealed in His Own Word.

Þ    For what is our hope, or crown of rejoicing, are not we in the sight of Jesus Christ at His Parousia? His Presence?  [ 1 Thes 2: 19 ]

Are we not washed by the Light as we walk in the light?  [ 1 John 1: 7 ]

Then  with this in mind, I want you all to be truly searching this Message as we begin to study it for the Revelation of Jesus Christ is the greatest event to ever strike the earth, even greater than the crucifixion and resurrection because without it the Crucifixion and Resurrection will do us no good.

Þ    We are told in [1 Peter 1 : 3 - 13 ]  that this end time revelation of Christ will bring forth salvation and that in verse 13 we are told that a special endowment of Grace will accompany this Revelation which we also find in...

Þ    [ 1 Cor 1: 4 - 10 ] why?

Þ    [ 2 Cor 3: 15 - 18 ] because the hearts are ordained to change. Our understanding is ordained to receive the Glory of God.

Þ    Brother Branham said,  "may we say like those from Emmaus, "Did not our hearts burn within us as He spoke to us along the road?"   Now why did their hearts burn within them? What does it mean to have your heart burning within you?  Are we talking of heart burn?  Did they eat something that caused heart burn? Don't be ridiculous. The scripture that brother Branham is quoting pertains to when Jesus came upon the disciples who were talking about Him and who did not understand what had happened concerning His death, burial and Resurrection. Let's pick up the story for ourselves and see just exactly what happened.

Þ    [ Luke 24: 13 - 45 ] Notice in verse 38, Why do thoughts arise in your hearts? And then in verse 45 that He opened up their understanding . Now the word for burn where they said, Did not our hearts burn within us is a Greek word Kaio which means to be set afire or to light up .

Þ    It can be more readily seen in it's context when we read it in [ Matt  5: 15] We don't light a fire and then place it under a bushel basket. It is lit to be seen!

Þ    [ Luke 12: 35 ] Here we are commanded to let our lights be burning. This is the  same word burning that they used of their hearts burning within as He talked to them along the way.

Þ      [ John 5: 35] where we read, " He was a bright and burning light."  So we see that this burning has to do with the Light or the Revelation of God.

Þ    Now never forget that in [ John 1: 3 - 4]we read, "In Him was Light and the Light was the light of

men. And so in re - reading [Luke 24: 32]  we find that it was the things Jesus Spoke to them about

Himself that lightened up their hearts or their understanding. Therefore it was the Revelation of Jesus

Christ that set their hearts aflame and we should know by now that when we see the word heart we

know that it refers to their understanding. So we see here  that it was their understanding that was set

aflame.

Þ    [ 1 Cor 13: 12]

Þ    [ 2 Thess 1: 10 ]

Þ     [Col 3: 4]

Now in getting back to our thoughts from Brother Branham's Message, we next hear him say,  "Now, Father, I know that whatever I would say would be certainly insufficient. Amen

Now, how many believe that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, Today and Forever? Do you believe that?    [ Hebrews 13: 8?] Then if He is the same, won't His speaking to us as He did to those on the road to Emmaus, have the same effect upon us? And what was that effect upon them? Did not their hearts burn within them? In other words, did not their understanding become set on fire by His Divine Presence being among them and teaching them about himself? And how does the scripture tell us He went about it? We are told that He went back to the Scripture, back to what the Prophet's had foretold, and by using the Word of God, He was able to make plain to them the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Then when they had heard, he did something that manifested to them just Who he was. Something that He did in a particular way that their eyes were suddenly able to see Who He was.

Then has Alpha become Omega? Has this repeated all over again? Are we living in Bible times again? For what is our Hope, or crown of rejoicing? Are not we in the sight of our Lord Jesus Christ at His Parousia?

So then we see by scriptural proof, the evidence of the Resurrected Christ among His People once again. And I truly believe that we in this hour who have actually entered into His Presence by the same Word, are receiving the same burning within our hearts as they did back in the Alpha ministry of the resurrected Jesus Christ. And what was that burning in their hearts again?   It was a new understanding that set their Soul's aflame.

Þ    [Rev 1: 14-15] Now we shall get back to this voice like many waters in a few minutes, but for now we are focusing on these eyes like flame, burning.

Þ    [ Rev 2: 18]

Þ    [ Rev 19:11- 13]

Now notice we had read in [ Rev 1: 14 ] abuot this one Who's eyes were as flames of fire. And yet we know that it was John Who saw Him only. But as we discovered here in the last few messages, we too were there as well. For we read in Revelation 5 that the we were definitely a part of the opening of the sealed book in that we were witnesses of this opening of the Sealed Book of redemption.

Þ    [ Rev 5: 1 - 6:1]

Þ     [ Rev 10: 1 - 7]

From The Breach pg. 74 he says, " And when the seals are broken, ( Rev 5) and the mystery is revealed, down comes the Angel, the Messenger, Christ, setting His foot upon land and upon sea with a rainbow over His Head. Now, remember, this Seventh Angel is on earth at the time of this coming."

So if we are actually witnesses of this, then when is it we actually look nto these eyes that are set aflame and receive this burning in our hearts ?  To look into His eyes we must look into His face? Correct?

[ 1 Cor 13: 12] When? When that which is perfect has comeAnd brother Branham said, right after quoting this scriture, "we have by God's Grace the perfect revealed Word by vindication." ! And remember, in Rev 19 He is called the word of God!
