They will do the works of Christ part 2

To recap last night, we showed how brother Branham was very emphatic in
defining the believer in John 14:12 as
"he", he, anybody"
and in another place he said,
every person who believes. We also showed how he said it would
not be just one person in several quotes as well.
We also read several wonderful quotes where he defined who the
"he" is in John 14:12 when he
said in pp. 68 of Christ is the Mystery of God
Revealed "St. John 14:12, He said, "He (he, anybody)--he that believeth on me,
the works that I do shall he do also.”
Notice these are not my words as some say I am teaching wrong on this,
but these are brother Branham's words in defining who the "he" is in John
14:12. He that believeth is he says is anybody. I will read it again, 68 of Christ is the Mystery of God Revealed "St. John 14:12, He
said, "He (he, anybody)--he that believeth on me,
the works that I do shall he do also.” So if any wish to argue against a vindicated
prophet they do it at their own risk. And the word "anybody" that brother Branham defined as
the "he" in "he that believeth" is not singular. It is
plural.
Again in this same sermon Christ is the Mystery of God Revealed, brother
Branham vindicated prophet of God said, pp. 136 "They
said, "We received the Holy Ghost when we believed."
The Bible said, "Have you received the
Holy Ghost since you believed?"
There's the difference. See? That's right. See? And they say, "We're
the Catholic church. We started early; we did this."
Again, notice that brother Branham defines the spirit of those who teach
that you receive the Holy Ghost when you believe is a catholic spirit.
Then he goes on to say, "The Methodist
say, "We are based upon the Bible." But Jesus said, "These
signs shall follow them that believe." Now, where's it at?
Uh-huh, see, right. "The works that I do
shall you do also," every creature,
every person that believes in Him.
Now that doesn't sound singular to me? Every person means only one
person believes? Then he says,
Now, where's it at? That's
His Words. "Heavens
and earths will pass away, but My Word shall never fail." Now, where's it at? See?
When this Vindicated prophet again in this same sermon, defines the
"he" in "He that believeth" as "Every person" and we know that anybody
and every person are not singular, but speak of a plural as in many, then where
do men come up with singular from? I will tell you where, from their lack of
listening to a vindicated prophet, that's how.
And I have proven by taking every language that the Bible is written in,
and I have shown you using all languages, even the Greek, that these words of
Jesus were not addressing one person, but they all say, "whoever believes in Me". I've also shown you
that the only Bible that uses the word "he" is the King James version, and those few Bibles that are not translations but
are transliterations made from the King James version.
Again in pp. 212 Brother Branham
quotes Jesus in John 20:21 an say, "Notice. "And the Father that sent Me" went with Him. The
Jesus that sends us goes in... "A little
while and the world won't see Me no more, yet ye shall
see Me, for I (personal pronoun, 'I 'the
Person, Jesus) will be with you, even in you to
the end of the world". "The works that I do shall you do also." Now, go back and see what He done; then see what
you do, and then compare yourself."
What???? What did you say brother Branham????
He said, Now, go back and see what He done; then see what you do, and
then compare yourself." Now, that is a direct challenge to
every believer to see the life and nature that was projected from the Eldest
son and then look at what nature and character is projecting from you and see
if your fruits are the same as his fruits. See if your works are the same as
his works." As I said this is a direct challenge to you and me. he's not talking about William Branham here, he's making the
challenge to us, God's other children.
In his Message, Questions and Answers COD
64-0830M P:167 373. William Branham reads a
question on this subject and he answers it very, very clearly.
“And will every true believer do the works that Jesus said, as stated in St. John 14:12 (Not
exactly. No.): heal the sick, cast out devils, raise
the dead (I don't think that's in St. John 14, but it's all right. It's Mark
16.), or is this only to be Elijah? Must the believer do all that, that really believe? And if he really is a real believer, will he raise
the dead and do great miracles? Now, that is among the believers. See? Every
man doesn't have those gifts, and that don't mean that just
one person will do it; there'll be groups of people. Like for
instance, what if we had a little girl here in the church, or a little boy, or
somebody that we love real well, and life would go out of them. The whole
church would get together, and they'd go to pray and fasting: "Lord, have mercy on that child." See? God could raise it up.
How many ever read the Nicene Fathers and them? You know, that's the way they
did it in the early church. They'd all get together, you know, and even raise
up their pastor sometime and different ones like that, if God seen fit to do
it; but they did it.
From Brother Branham's sermon, Faithful
Abraham 59-0415E P:69 He says, "it's not just for the apostles, but to the end of the
world. "The works that I do shall you do
also. More
than this shall you do for I go to My Father."
And then the Holy Spirit wasn't only in one Person; it's in the
entire church universal doing the same works that Jesus did. Hallelujah. I
challenge the world to believe that. And you'll see a revival break through
this country. You'll see Divine healing and the power
of Almighty God. He's here now.
Then why don't we say the same thing? He said it's in the entire church universal doing the same works
that Jesus did. And that
is what he challenges the world to believe.
Well, I've been challenging the peoples faith
to believe this and some brand me false. well, who is
false when they refuse to say what's on the tapes and to say only what's on the
tapes. I'm sorry but only one man was vindicated in this hour, and I just read
several quotes from him that all say the same thing, John 14:12 is a promise
from God to those who are real believers.
We also showed you last night how br. Branham
tied together John 14:12 with John 20:21 showing the reason the believer
would be able to do the works that Jesus did
is because he promised to not only send us but to go with us and be in us, just
as God sent him and went in Him. For after all, as Nicodemus said to Jesus,
"no man can do the things you do except God
be with him."
Then right before we closed last night we began to address the question,
then if we are to do the works of Christ, then "what are the works
of Christ" that the believers are supposed to do according to
Jesus promise in John 14:12. We began by
looking at the very first work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers.
John 6:28 Then said
they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work
the works of God? 29. Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the
work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Notice, they asked Jesus point blank "what are the works of God" and Jesus said the first
thing in order to be able to do the works of God, and in fact the first work of
God, is that you must believe the one that God sends. That's number one.
And of course that lines up with the definition brother Branham gave us
that John 20:21 is John 14:12, because unless you believe the One he
sends you are not a believer. So how could anyone who does not believe do the
works if he is addressing only the believer.
Notice Jesus himself said, "I came to
do the works of my Father and to
do His Will." And he said I am
here to make sure I do not loose any whom God has given to me. That
is a sign of a Good Shepherd. To make sure the ones God gave him to lead and
guide all make it. That should be the most important thing that we do, to look
out for one another, to make sure we do not loose any God has given to us.
God in His Word - 57-0323 "And as the Father sent Him and went with Him, He's sending us, and
going with us, and performing the works of Christ as Christ performed the
works of God, going with us through death, and raise us up at the last
day. God's in His people."
Hear ye Him - 60-0712 That's the way
Christ is doing to His Church. He's
beating it, and turning it, and beating it, and turning it, and beating it. How
dare a preacher to be sissy enough not to tell the Word of God and tell men and
women when they're living wrong. Tell them it's wrong to wear these immoral
clothes. It's wrong to smoke cigarettes. It's wrong to stay home from church.
It's wrong to go to gambling, and racing, and carrying on the way the church is
doing today, and playing lotteries and things. God forbid when I have to do
that. No, sir. Beat that thing until...
Jesus beats it with the Holy Ghost until He sees His own reflection in it. Then
you can see the works of Christ being performed in the Church; then
she's ready for the rapture.
Now, listen, one of these days these things I've
been hammering on will begin to be seen in a greater measure right here in this
little assembly. we've already seen more of God doing supernatural things among
this little church than any other church I know of in this Message, but you
wait until this revelation sinks in and what you have seen in potential before
you will see in a greater measure and when you begin to see the works of Christ
among us like it was in the early church then know one thing, we will be
nearing the rapture because then we will be ready for the rapture as brother
Branham just said in this last quote we read.
Stature of a perfect man - 62-1014M When the one that was beating could
see his own reflection like a mirror in it. It was clean and clear enough till
it reflected the beater. That's the way God does. He takes the gold that He has
found in the earth, and He beats it by the Holy Spirit,
turn it over, and over, and over, and beating it until He can see His
reflection. And that's what we're supposed to do: reflect the Son of God.
60. And now, we're supposed to do His work.
He said, "He that believeth on Me..." (St.
John 14) "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." You're beginning to reflect the works of Christ. But so
many of us try to do the works of Christ before the reflection of Christ is in
us.
Now, that is the problem I see also, is that we
have people who have tried to press into this, and you can't press into it. God
is sovereign and no one tells God what He must or must not do. So I believe the
real essence of John 14:12 is to have a
heart whose motives and objectives are so in tune with God that when God says
do, you do. And as brother Branham said, God will not say do until He sees His
own Son living in you.
But the great thing is that "God is working in us to will and to do" That is a divine promise of God, and we are
promised that we will be conformed to the image of the first born son and we will manifest as sons.
So all we need to do is let go and let God.
He that is in you - 63-1110E But He
that is in you is Christ. And if Christ is in you, the works of Christ
you'll do, if Christ lives in you. He said so, St. John 14:12, "He that believeth in Me, the works that I do
shall he do also." If Christ lived in you...
Then Christ is the Word. Is that right? And the Word come
to His prophets. See? And if Christ lived in you, the works of Christ would
be done through you, the Life of Christ would be lived through you. The works
He did, the life He lived, and everything, it would live in you, just like
if Shakespeare, Beethoven, or whoever it was, lived in you. If His Life... But if
you still living your own life, then your own works you'll do. See?
But if you're living the Life of Christ, if Christ is in you,
"He that's in you is greater than he
that's in the world." If your doubts and flusterations about God's promise is
in you, then Christ isn't there. See, you're only worked up. But if the Life, If
Christ is living in you, His Word He will recognize and His promise He'll do.
See? He'll do.
What shall I do with Jesus - 63-1124M And when the Life of Christ is in you, you'll live like Christ. And
the works of Christ you do.
God's gifts always find place - 63-1222 Notice now, we find that if He identified... The works that He did
identified that He was Deity,
showed that He was. For He said, "If
I do not the works of My Father, then don't believe Me." And could not the Christian say today,
"If I do not the works of my Saviour, believe
me not"? See? "As the Father sent Me, so send I you." And if you did the works, creation works of the Father that sent
Him, then it's a creation... The Christ the Creator that sends us, does the
works of Christ the Creator. See? "As the Father sent Me, so send I you. And if I do
not the works of My Father, believe me not." Then the Christian today has got to do the Life that Christ
did or we have a right to say, "It's not so."
Jehovah Jireh 1 - 64-0402 He tore the body of Jesus apart, taking the Spirit, lifted up the body
to the right hand of the throne of God, and sent down the other part, the part
He tore out, the Spirit, upon us, which is called the Holy Spirit. And the very life that was in Christ is in you. That shows He's your Redeemer. He's adopted you unto God. And now
we are sons and daughters of God with the Spirit of Christ. "The works that I do shall you do also. Greater than this shall you do;
for I go unto My Father." Amen. 47. The
Spirit that was in Him is on you: Eternal Life. He is the Giver of Eternal
Life. He is the Redeemer to bring back that which fell in the fall in the human
race, to bring back to God. And the Spirit that was in Christ is in you. And if
the spirit of a villain was in me, I'd have guns. If the spirit of a artist was in me, I'd paint pictures. If the Spirit of
Christ is in me, the works of Christ you'll do. Amen. That's right.
48. The life that is in Him is in you. Transfer the life from anything
to another thing.
Ok, so what are the works of Christ that we will do? Well, as we look into the works of Christ, I think you will be very
surprised by what the Scriptures tell you. Things you have been doing when led
of the Spirit that you never realized those same things Jesus Christ did as He
was led of the spirit as well. Too many people think of miracles but the Gospel
of John uses the word "signs" more when speaking of miracles than the
word works. Works are the daily things you do as you reflect the Spirit of
"God working in you to will and to do."
So, let's look at what works Jesus said that God sent him to do. Because
as brother Branham said, "the same God that sent Jesus and went with him, is the same God
that sends us and goes with us to do the same works. So if we know
what he was called to do, we will know what we are called to do.
We first see the prophecy in Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit
of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath (1) anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to
(2) bind up the brokenhearted, (3) to proclaim
liberty to the captives, and (4)
the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Now, the last 3 deal
with a sort of deliverance ministry. Delivering a person
from a broken heart, delivering those who have been held captive and setting
them free, and showing the open door for those who have been bound as prisoners
in church systems.
The good tidings he talks about first are
defined in the Hebrew dictionary as the following: "to announce the glad news: to preach, or publish,
or shew forth, (to bear, to bring, to carry, to
preach, to tell the good tidings."
First he says, I
have been called to preach the Gospel, the good news to the poor. Now, as I've
said before, is placing burdens upon the people and ruling them with a rod of
iron good news? Is not talking to family members because they disagree on some
silly point good news? Is talking behind people backs and trying to assassinate
their character because you disagree with them over one scripture good news? Is
calling your children, grandchildren and your in-laws serpent seed because they
disagree with you good news?
No, brothers and sisters those things are
done by spiritually sick people, who live themselves in fear. But If the works of Christ was to set the captive free then the
works he did we should do also.
Look at the next three parts of his works
that God sent him to do and you will see how it is good news.
Notice the Good News he preached to the meek
is a work of the Holy Ghost where Jesus was anointed to do and that preaching
good news was to "bind up the brokenhearted."
Now, what the Hebrew word for bind up means is
to be there to help those whose hearts have been broken, and to bind up or
place a compress upon their hearts to keep it from further bleeding and further
damage. But so many wish to bind further into bondage those whose hearts are
already broken, and that is not the works of Christ but the actions of the
devil himself.
Did not Jesus say to the religious preachers
of his day, "you are of your father the devil
and the lust of your father you do, and you do that which you have seen of your
father, and I do only that which I have seen of my father." And
they said, we are children of Abraham, and Jesus
said if you were children of Abraham you would do the works of Abraham. But you
seek to destroy me because I have told you the truth, Abraham would not have
acted this way, for he rejoiced to see my day. But the reason you can not hear
my Word is because their is no place for my word in
your hearts.
Now, as a Christian we are all called to do
these works of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with
it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.
2 Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
mercies, and the God of all comfort; Now, if he is the Father of Mercies, and the God of all comfort and we
are His children and conformed to His image, then if that is His work, then
would not our work do the same thing?
Then one of the works of Christ we shall do is bringing
comfort to one another. And how do we do that? By giving His
word to one another as a healing ointment.
Notice in 1 Thessalonians
4:18 Paul says we
bring comfort through repeating the words he told us concerning the process of
the rapture, he said, "Wherefore
comfort one another with these words." What words?, The fact we are already in the
process of the rapture as The Lord Himself has
already descended with a Shout, which we know is a Message, and knowing
that the One who descended with this shout is still here in the form of the
pillar of fire leading us to the millennium, and so the very next thing we have
to look forward to is just waiting for the voice of
the resurrection, and then the trump of God which is the change of
the body and the catching away. So we comfort one another by sharing with one
another this end time truth and we do it depending on what measure or gift we
have to do it with as Paul says in.
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching
and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual
songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Therefore if Jesus
came speaking and preaching words that lifted up those who were troubled in
their hearts, and maybe you sisters think, well, I can't preach, but let me say
this, maybe you can sing your spiritual songs, as Paul said in the last two
scriptures.
And again he says in 1 Thessalonians 5:14 Now
we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded,
support the weak, be patient toward all men.
And again in 1
Thessalonians 3:7 Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction
and distress by your faith: Notice the peoples faith was a comfort
to Paul.
And we see in 2
Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth
us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are
in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of
God. Look how beautiful these words are, God comforts me I
comfort you.
And in Colossians
2:2 That their hearts might be
comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the
full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery
of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
And you know what that is? That is Christ
the Mystery of God revealed, the three fold revelation of Christ, God in
Christ, Christ in you, back to fellowship like in the garden.
2 Corinthians 7:13 Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly
the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his
spirit was refreshed by you all.
Notice we are comforted in your comfort. Oh,
I love that. And that is what the works of Christ in you will produce,
comfort in seeing others comforted. Paul said Titus himself was comforted and refreshed in His Spirit by their
spirit.
You know, as brother Branham said, there are certain people you just love to be around because
they make you feel good, because they create an
atmosphere around them by the things they think on, the things they talk about.
And you get refreshed being in their presence. And does not the scripture speak
of "the refreshing that comes from the presence
of the Lord? "
Brother Branham said, "that we create that atmosphere that we live in, and he
called us little Messiahettes. And no one can
tell me that is not a work of the Holy spirit in that person. Then if it is a
work of the Holy Spirit, then it is "a work of Christ",
and "the works that I do shall you do also".
It's the nature of Christ in you,
reflecting in your life that others become refreshed by the presence of
the Lord living and projecting His Life out through your life.
Next we see the fulfillment in Luke 4:18 The Spirit of
the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel
to the poor; (we've talked on that, and you know you sisters are the
preachers to your children, and in your songs) and then he also said, "he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted",
and we have talked how we can do that for one another, through various ways, And then he
said, "to preach deliverance to the captives", and if we don't have an opportunity to do
that work of Christ in this world we live in and even in the churches in this
Message where that nicolaitian spirit has bound the people in a way that hasn't
been seen since the dark ages when the popes ruled with a rod of iron. if we don't have an opportunity to set free people who have
been dragged into bondage to that organizational spirit, then all I can say is
God help us to open our eyes. But you who are free in Christ, you have an
opportunity to do the works of Christ
and set the captives free. That's what
he was anointed to do, and that is what you are also anointed to do, the works I do shall you do also.
And then he adds another work when he says, , "and recovering of sight to the blind,".
Now, this can be taken two ways. We can see it an act of healing in
the natural and also an act of healing in the spiritual realm, but it is the
same Spirit in both that produces the healing.
We pray for the blind, so that God may physically
open their eyes that they may physically see, and the same Spirit in us
ministers to the those who are spiritually blind that
they might see also. But it is the same Spirit working in us to will and to do.
And then Jesus says, "to set at liberty them that are bruised,. Now, this
word "bruised" also means "crushed", because that is what a
bruise is, when the skin and muscle has been crushed. And I have seen first
hand brothers who had been suppressed, who have been spiritually bruised in the
spirit and whose spirits had been all but crushed under mean spirited
leadership in so called Christian churches. And I have taken the time to reach
out and minister to them, and I have seen brothers set free by the power of the
holy Spirit and His Word and now these brothers who
had been themselves crushed and bruised are now setting others free who have
felt the effects of the brutal false shepherds out there.
I could name a lot of brothers names right
now, that I know who have been set free under the works of Christ in this
ministry and these brothers are now setting others free doing this same work of
Christ that He first did, then others before us have done, and finally it is
our turn to do for others as has been done for us.
Another work of Christ is giving, so others will not perish. “For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him
should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send
his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might
be saved through him. (John 3:16-17 ESV)
The Apostle Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is
meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly,
and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
And Jesus himself said, Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and
running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that
ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
And then we find in. Luke 19:10 ESV Jesus telling us another reason why he came.
Another work he was enlisted of the father to do. “For the Son of Man came to
seek and to save the lost. So we do the same works he did,
and we seek the lost to save the lost. That is what missionary work is all
about. And
you don't have to go overseas to seek the lost, just look around you. This
nation needs more missionaries than any country I have been to and I've been to
plenty. But as brother Branham said we've got intellectual heathens to deal
with in this country. And they can't be won over by intellectualism either, but
they can be won over by seeing in you what they want in themselves. And the
only Christ they may see if the Christ in you, and they will see that Christ if
you are doing the works of Christ.
And in Mark 10:45 ESV Jesus tells
us another work he came to do, he said, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for
many.”
Now, I hope you see and are beginning to understand that the works of
Christ is not just doing miracles or discerning the hearts of men. Sure those
are also works of Christ, but there are many works of Christ I have not even
gotten to this evening, but no one can tell me that just because there are
certain works that I won't do because I am not called to do those works, that
means that I will not do any of the many works of Christ. Don't even go there,
brothers and sisters, that is so foolish, and shows so
little understanding of the great sovereignty of God that it doesn't even merit
an response.
I could be asking you as we go along, and you might just be asking
yourself the question as I read these works of Christ to you, "hey, I've
done that. I've done this other also, and little by little you are beginning to
understand that all along your father has been working in you to will and to
do. Not just to will, but to will and to do. And if he is in us willing and
doing, then that means He is using this body of yours to do the works that
Jesus did, because it is the same God wiling it and doing it in you.
But those who think that the works of Christ is only discernment do not
know Christ. he did less of that than he did many
other things for God.
And just because you do not discern does not mean that you have not done
any of the same works that Jesus himself did for his father.
Again we see in Luke 5:31-32 ESV that Jesus came not only to to pray for the sick for healing but to call for the sinner
to repentance. "And Jesus answered them, “Those
who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to
call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
In 1 John 4:9-10 ESV that Jesus
was sent into this world that we might have Life. "In this the love of God was made
manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might
live through him.
Jesus was the most disciplined, purpose filled man who ever lived. Every
Word he spoke, every action he took, was centered in his relationship with the
Father, and was a perfect reflection of the Father's will, purpose and plan.
Another work he did was to introduce the disciples to the glory of the Father,
to introduce them to the doxa, the values, the
opinions, the judgments of the Father by reflecting God's Glory, His doxa, His values, his opinions, and his judgments.
He said, in John 17:22 he tells us he was a good steward
of what God gave to him, and he passed along what God gave Him to us that we
might be one with God as he was one. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as
we are one:
John 17:4-5 ESV “I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me
to do” And then in John 19:30
ESV John tells us, that Jesus
said on the cross, ...“It is finished,” and he bowed
his head and gave up his spirit.
Another work of Christ we hear of in all the Gospels is how that Jesus
fed the multitudes, and I am sure some of you sisters can say amen to that.
You've done the same. and spiritually speaking to see
what he has done in this ministry, translating sermon into more than 10
languages, and feeding brethren all over the world.
You know Jesus took a few loaves and fishes and fed thousands, and we've
taken one loaf, one sermon, and how God use us to break it into 268 sermons,
and feed the multitudes all over the world.
To me that is a work of the Holy Spirit no different than the loaves and
fishes.
And finally brother Branham says, New ministry 59-1115 P:85 When he was here on earth, He told Peter,
"On the revelation of the Word of God," He said, "upon this rock, I will build My Church, and
the gates of hell cannot prevail against It." Isn't that right? All right. When He was... 'Fore He left, in Mark 16,
He said, "These
signs shall follow them that
believe." Did He
say it? "In My Name
they shall cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, drink deadly things." He also said, "The works that I do, shall you do also." Is that right? That's
the signs that's to follow His Church. It's not a denomination.
It's a ordained of God, Holy Ghost filled, heaven
born Church that comes out of all denominations, a real
believing bunch of people. Don't you see what the greater thing is? That's
the greatest thing that could ever happen was to impart Eternal Life to

What is Eternal Life? The Life that He lived, the Life that
was in Him: impart that to others. Can a man do that? A
Son of God can. … There's

That day on Calvary 60-0925 P:53 Now,
watch, Jesus said... Watch how He stated it.
"The
works that I do (He's doing them right now.) the
works that I'm doing now, healing
the sick, raising the dead, opening the eyes of the blind, these works shall
you do also. You'll do these if you believe in Me. You do these works,
and then a greater than this shall you do, for
I go to My Father.
Now,
Notice brother Branham speaks of works and then the greater works making a
distinction between the two. He goes on to say,
"A little while and the world won't see Me
no more. Yet you'll see Me. I'll be with you, even in
you to the end of the world. I will not leave you comfortless. I'll pray the
Father. He'll send you another Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the
world cannot receive, yet you can receive Him."
54 Now, notice, the greater works was to have the power

seen thus far as to what the works of Christ are. They are:
1) Healing the sick
2) Healing the broken hearted
3) Setting at liberty those who are bound
4) setting the captives free
5&6) he came to Seek and save
7) Serving others
8) He Fed the multitudes
9) He stopped the storm showing God gave him power over nature itself.
10) He walked on water?
11) He Raised the dead
12) He changed elements water into wine
13) He Sanctified himself for us
14) Justification, sanctification, baptism of the HG.
15) Imparting Life
New ministry 59-1115 P:85 When
he was here on earth, He told Peter, "On the revelation of the Word of
God," He said, "upon this rock, I will build My Church, and the gates of hell cannot
prevail against It."
Isn't that right? All right. When He was... 'Fore He
left, in Mark 16, He said, "These signs shall follow them that believe." Did He say it? "In My Name they shall cast out devils, speak with new
tongues, take up serpents, drink deadly things." He also said, "The works that I do, shall you do also." Is that right? That's
the signs that's to follow His Church. It's not a denomination.

And then here is the point I have been
waiting all night to make. Paul says in 1
Corinthians 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the
same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations,
but the same Lord. 6 And there
are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh
all in all. 7 But
the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to
another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To
another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to
another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation
of tongues: 11 But all these works are performd by that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to
every man severally as he will.
And then Paul says in
verse 30 Have all the gifts of healing? do
all speak with tongues? do all
interpret?
In other words, just because one man might a
greater measure of faith and perhaps do more of the works of Christ that does
not mean that a person that many only do one work of Christ is not included
among the believers of John 14:12.
And for the brethren that think that because
William Branham discerned and we do not that means only William Branham
qualifies as The only Believer and John 14:12 speaks only of Him. That is so
ridiculous, that would be like saying, since all these works are subsets of the
works of Christ, therefore since one man does a work that you and I do not do,
that means that you are not a member of that subset even tough you may
definitely do other works of Christ.
In math we say, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 are the
set of whole numbers. But just because you have only 1 or 1,3
doesn't take you out of the set of whole numbers because you do not have 80% of
them. No, on the contrary, 1 is within the set of whole numbers as is 3. But I
suppose these are them that say 50% is half empty instead of half full.
In closing the Apostle Paul said, Philippians 4:13 I
can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
And again in Philippians
2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
And in 2
Corinthians 12:19 but we do all
things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

But lot of them shouted that didn't have It. When
Pentecost spoke in tongues, unknown tongues, they said, "Boy, you've got It." But lot of them didn't have It.
There's no such things as them signs of knowing that.
"The only way you know a tree," Jesus said, "is by the fruit that it bears," the works of the Spirit, the
fruit of the Spirit. Then when you see a person that's filled with power,
that's filled with the Holy Ghost, then you see a life that's changed. You
see these signs following them that believe: "In My Name they shall cast out devils, speak with new tongues. If a
snake would bite them, it wouldn't hurt them. If they'd have had a deadly thing,
drinking, it wouldn't kill them. They'd lay hands on the sick, and they shall
recover." My. These kind of signs follows them that believe. But how do you get
into it? Them gifts are in the body. How do you get in
the body? Not by speaking your way in; but by being baptized into one body I Corinthians 12:13. One
Spirit we're all baptized into that body and
subject to all the gifts. The Lord bless you. Now,

P:21 That's
the way it is with you, if you're filled with the Holy Spirit. Any man that's
filled with the Holy Spirit says thing that he hardly knows sometimes what it
is he is saying, if he's truly carried away in the
Spirit. How about you people with the gifts of tongues? What is any other inspiration. If it's in English, and not in an unknown
tongue, it's still inspiration and you speak it. Have times where I'd be so
inspired by the Spirit, I'd say things and write things down that I didn't even
know I did. You have too, no doubt. That's the works of the Spirit.
