Christ is the Mystery no. 120
The Christian Life
September 25, 2013
Brian Kocourek
Tonight I would like to take our thought to once again brother Branham's
sermon, Christ is the Mystery of God Revealed and we will read from paragraphs
199-200. 199
Now, my, there's just so much here, we could just keep on going. Notice, the
Tree of Christ, the Body in the garden, making His mystery known to this
Bride Tree (watch) redeemed by Christ, the second Adam (You believe He
was?), going back home to Eden with His fallen wife, redeemed back home
again. That's Christ and the Church today--taking His Wife back. See the
threefold mystery now? God manifested in Christ; Christ manifested in the
Church; all together to bring back the original Adam and Eve again, man and
woman, which are one, made out of the same Blood, and same Spirit, and
everything else.
Now, let's just stop here just for a moment and not read past what he
is saying here. Too many times we do not understand the thought the prophet of
God is telling us and then because we don't it seems more convenient for us to
just skip on by so we do not have to deal with the statement he says. And I
think that is just human nature but if we are not careful we will miss a lot of
revelation because he meant what he said and he said what he meant.
Notice brother Branham
says, God manifested in Christ; OK, we do not have a problem with that. I think
everyone agrees with that, so no problem.
But then he says, Christ
manifested in the Church; And here is where the live
gets drawn every time, because people will not read it for what he is saying.
This is where theology enters in. This is where men set their ideas to what
they think he is saying. And that is when the rub comes.
Now, the full statement is God
manifested in Christ; Christ manifested in the Church; then he says, all together
to bring back the original Adam and Eve again, man and woman, which are one,
made out of the same Blood, and same Spirit, and everything
else.
Then brother Branham
clarifies what he just said about the church when he says, 200 The
Church is the Blood of Christ by the Spirit, because the Life is in the
blood. That's the baptism of the Holy Ghost that baptizes us into His
Body, that recognizes only His Body, His
flesh, His Word. Denomination won't ever touch that; it's a revelation. She
knows it. So did Eve know it; but she fell; but this one knows it
and won't fall. She's ordained to. Hallelujah. She's ordained to
not fall. She won't fail. She's predestinated to it. "Blessed
is the man who God will not impute sin." You ministers know
what I'm speaking of when there's a couple dozen of
you setting here. See? "Blessed is the man who God will not impute
sin"--David.
Now, notice he speaks of an Even who fell
and an Eve who will not fail.
Now, what's he talking about? He's talking about How God was manifested in Christ is the
same way Christ is to be manifested in His Church. And as I said everybody
seems to have their own interpretation as to how Christ is to be manifested in
the church.
So we have two camps both split on this. One camp believes that Christ
is manifest in the church through one man, and then another camp says God is
manifested in His church through everyone. And there is truth to both those
statements but each statement can not be exclusive of the other. Christ did
manifest himself through one man William Branham in a greater display than he
did even through God's own son Jesus.
In his sermon, Token
the 63-1128E P:59 Brother Branham said,
"And if the Life of Jesus Christ lives in
the person, they become identified with Him. It's Christ
in you, not a church member, not a system, but a resurrected power. It's the
Holy Ghost, is a Token upon you, that your
life says "amen" to every Scripture.
So notice he is telling us the Holy Ghost on
display in you, is not a system, it is not a church member, but it is a power,
a resurrected power. So if it is resurrected then it is the same power that was
in the one who lived and died, and was resurrected. And he said the Holy Ghost
is a token, it is an evidence that your life says
"amen" to every scripture.
So he is not talking about a theology here. He
is not talking about a mental recognition here. He is talking way beyond just
your brain power. He is talking a resurrection power in your life, showing in
your Life that you say "amen" to every Scripture.
You see, I have always said, "talk is
cheap". Anyone can say they agree with the Bible in their mind. But if you
really agree it will manifest in your Life. Just because you say, "you are
the righteousness of God" does not mean that you are. But if your Life
reflects the very righteousness of God, then you can confess that with your
mouth and it is a true statement.
The Bible says, "he
that doeth righteousness is righteous."
David said in the Psalms, Psalms 106:3 Blessed are they
that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.
NIV Psalms 106:3 Blessed are
those who act justly, who always do
what is right.
The New Life Version (NLV) 3 Happy are those who are faithful in being fair and who
always do what is right and good!
Let me go back and finish that Token quote from
brother Branham I was reading a few minutes ago, Token
the 63-1128E P:59 "And if the Life
of Jesus Christ lives in the person, they become identified
with Him. It's Christ in you, not a church member, not a system, but
a resurrected
power. It's the Holy Ghost, is a Token upon you, that
your life says "amen" to every Scripture. The promise is written in there. And you're
not yourself no more. You are Christ's. You don't
think your thoughts. You don't think your thoughts. You
say, "I think." You have no thought coming. The
Life that was in Christ is in you. The mind that was in Christ
is in you. The works that was in Christ is in you, and Christ Himself
is in you. You are dead; your life is
hid in God through Christ, sealed in there by
the Holy Ghost. You're not your own.
You see the person who is righteous it says,
always does what is right. It's not hit and miss. It's
not doing more righteous one minute then not so much another minute, so that your weighted
score card is more on the plus side than the negative side. No,
not at all. It's all on the plus side.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; (does not initiate sin) for his seed (Gods
seed) remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he
is born of God. Now, listen, it says you not only will not initiate
sin, but if that Life living out of YOu
is God Life it can not sin.
Future home 64-0802 P:58 See, the heart has to be cleansed
like that. Before God can come down in the Person of the Holy Ghost,
which is Christ coming down and dwell in the human heart, it first must be
repented. It must be baptized in water in His Name to show Who
it belongs to. Then it must be cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. And then
the holy fire and Holy Ghost from God comes down and burns out all the desire
of sin, all the nature of the world. And therefore, he that sins
willfully after receiving the knowledge of the Truth...Then again the Bible
said it's impossible, for a man that's born of God cannot sin; he does not
sin. There's no way for him to sin. How can he be a sinner and a
redeemed at the same time? How can I be in the pawn shop and out of the pawn
shop at the same time? See? Oh, He redeemed us by His Blood; by His Spirit He
cleansed us, and then comes to dwell in us, the Church, not the
denomination now, the Church.
So how can a man be the righteousness of God
and be a tool of the devil at the same time. Just because you say you are the
righteousness of God doesn't mean you are. That is one thing that bothers me so
much when I hear people say that in this message. People stealing from others,
people committing fornication, people who are into all sorts of sexual
perversity, people who sin against their neighbors, pull deals on the company
they work for, and yet call themselves the righteousness of God. In fact men I
have seen in this message men and women who have not only broken every one of
the ten commandments but habitually break them, and then they say,
"brother Branham said I am the righteousness of God", therefore I am.
He wasn't talking about you! He was talking about those who do right are those
who are righteous. "Fools will walk with
hobnailed shoes where angels fear to trod."
From his sermon, Thy
house 61-0808 P:47 Brother Branham said,
"Now, I don't believe just because you say in
your mind you believe. I believe your life tells whether you're
really a Christian or not.
And from his sermon, QA on Genesis COD 53-0729 P:76 He said, "Brother Branham, what do you think about
Pentecostals?" And I said, "That's the reason I'm dealing with them.
That's the reason I'm fooling with them; they got something that you haven't
got." I said, "With their fanaticism and everything, they got
a truth that you know nothing about." I was talking to one of the
greatest men in America right then. Yes, sir. He's the president of Sudan
Missions, is the greatest in all the world:
fundamental to the core. He knowed the Scriptures, and the death, burial and
resurrection, just preach it like a house on fire. That ain't
It. The Devil can do that too. The Devil's just
as fundamental as he can be. But brother, Jesus Christ said, "Except a man be born of the Spirit of God he'll not see the
Kingdom of God." Not just
because you say, "Yes, I believe that. Yeah, I believe that's that way. I
believe that. Yes." That
don't do it. It's got to be a
actual experience of the new birth. It's got to be something between you
and God that you know you've passed from death to Life.
Birth pains 65-0124 P:27 We know the old seed must, before
the new seed can come out of the old seed, it must rot, absolutely, not die
only, but rot after it's dead. We know that to be true. That's the same
thing in new birth. We never go back, but we go forward when you're born again.
And that's why I think today we have not so many genuine new births, is because
the seed maybe will sympathize with the Word or the person, but they don't want
to rot away from the old system that they were in. They don't want to come out
of it. They want to stay in the old system and claim the new birth or the
message of the age. We found that under the Luther, Wesley, Pentecostals, and
all other ages. They still try to hold on to the old system and claim this, but
the old system age must die, rot, in order to bring forth the new one. They
still want to cling. Notice, they know the old system is dead, but they just
don't want to rot out of it. Now, rot is when it's really done away with.
I would just like to ask you all this question tonight. Have you ever looked yourself in
the mirror and looked right into your own eyes and say I hate what I see, I
hate it, I hate it, I hate it, and then fall to your face and ask God to change
you because you can not stand what you are and what you see in yourself? If you
haven't done that, I doubt you've been born again. And the problem is most of
you are too busy with living your own lives and there is a lot of you that you
like. Well, when a person dies, they don't partially die, the whole person dies.
And if you have never gotten so sick and tired of yourself that you can't stand
to live with yourself any longer, and you are so sick of yourself that you
would just want to go and hide, then you do not know what it means to recon
yourself dead so that you can be hid in God in Christ.
Brother Branham said, Token the 63-1128E P:36 The token was not no good unless the token was displayed.
The token had to be displayed, not a sympathizer with the token; but the
token must be applied. And no matter how much anyone could prove that He
was a Jew, and a covenant Jew by circumcision, that didn't do anything about it
at all. It took the token, not the covenant. He never said,
"When I see the covenant sign," but, "When I see the
token." So today you might be a professed Christian; you might be a covenant
with Christ; but unless that Token is displayed in this late hour that
we're coming to now, there is no way for Him to pass over. The Token must be
displayed. It must be on.
I do not care how much you tell yourself
that you are the predestined righteousness of God, unless you have died to
yourself, and have rotted to yourself, and have died, and then were filled with
His Spirit, you
are only fooling yourself and you are using theology to do it. Remember, religion is a
covering, and so is theology.
And don't tell me people can't fool
themselves with theology. I've seen some of the biggest misfits in this message
proclaiming they are the righteousness of God. Well, if that is the
righteousness of God you God can have it, because my Bible says, "come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord,
and then I will come in a sup with you and be a God to you."
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with
unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or
what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what
agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye
are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in
them, and walk in them; and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore (1) come out from among them, and (2) be ye
separate,(that means be
willing to live a separated life) saith the Lord,
and (3) touch not the unclean thing; and
Then I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and
daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Look, this is why so many are having trouble
with believing that a supernatural God does supernatural things. I expect it
from Him, and I see it. And if you come expecting you will go away having seen
God manifest Himself in some way to you as well. That's the way brother Branham
was. He saw God in everything, because there was so much of God in Him. That is
why the people in Africa see what you people could only dream of seeing. They
come with an open heart expecting to see God move. and because they are
expecting, God moves for them. But the only thing Americans would like to see
move is their bowels move. I don't say that to be funny, I say it because it's
the truth.
Americans are more concerned with bowel
movements than they are with God movements. And it shows in their lives. If God
is here then where are all the miracles. If he is
still leading us to the Millennium, then where is the evidence that He is here
and He's still leading? I see the
evidence, and I am happy with what I've seen, but you see it, and then deny the
evidence right in front of your eyes. Why is that? because
you've been taught to be skeptical, and so you become skeptics. Wouldn't it be
nice if you could all become so God minded that you saw God in everything like
the old fisherman brother Branham talked about?
And brother Branham said in his sermon, Door of doors 57-1212 P:13 "So many people wants to accept Christ as their Saviour, but
they say, "The days of miracles is past." So they don't want to
believe that the days of miracles are now. Christ can't get into that
heart. If Christ could gain entrance to the heart tonight, of every person
here, there would not be a feeble person among us in ten minutes. The
faith is in you, but you're afraid to open up the door and let Him be Lord of
that faith. Your try to sympathize with a part of the
Bible, say, "Some of it is right, but the other is not inspired."
What causes that, is perhaps maybe, some person not knowing any
different, taught you that. All of God's Word is inspired. And if
we'll open up our heart, and open up our door in our little room of faith,
Christ come in and be Lord, He will show great and mighty works and signs,
if He could only gain entrance to that heart of faith.
And from God's
provided place of worship 65-0425 P:47 "And that's what's the matter with the church today.
We're full of theology, without any dynamics in it. That's right. See? In other
words, you've got to have the spark to the gasoline, or the gasoline is not
even as good as water, as long as it hasn't got the spark to fire it. So that's
the way. No matter how well we're taught, how well we'll believe, and how much
of the Bible that we say is true, and we believe it all true; it's got to be the
dynamics has got to be there, the spark, to set that Word afire and make it
start rolling. It's got to have that. If you don't, the church sets still, the
car sets still, you'll set still. But no matter how much you say, "I
sympathize. I believe every Word of That." You've got to have
something to spark that off to make that one hundred octane go to firing, and the big Church of God go to moving on. It's got
to take the dynamics with the mechanics. Nothing wrong with
the mechanics, but lacking dynamics. And I think that's what's the
matter with the church today; we're lacking that dynamical power to press
this Word and make It live for this day.
Now, as we begin to close down, listen here to
what brother Branham says here in his sermon, The Token 64-0208 P:9 That's
what He was requiring that night to separate the believers from the
unbelievers. (Now, what's he talking about that will separate
the very believers from the unbelievers? He's talking about applying the token.
Listen...) The believer worshipper was identified with his sacrifice. He
must apply the blood. It wasn't take and kill the
lamb, set the blood out there somewhere, or keep it in a charger, take it down
to the neighbors. He had to apply the blood. That's the way it
is tonight. We could come and sympathize with everything God does, that
isn't what He requires. You've got to apply it. It's not sufficient
until you apply it. The blood must be applied. That shows that you are
identified. The worshipper laid his hand upon the lamb and then killed it,
identify himself with the sacrifice.
Now, in closing let me read another quote
from Token the 63-0901M P:88
Now, now, look, just to believe it,
is not enough, to walk around where it's at, isn't enough. See? That's
to make yourself worse. "For he that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it's sin," See? Those
borderline believers... Jesus spoke of the same thing, Hebrews the 6th chapter.
"For it is impossible for those who were
once enlightened and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have
tasted of the good Word of God, and the world to come, if they shall fall away,
to renew themselves again to repentance; seeing that they crucify to themselves
the Son of God, and count the covenant of the Blood, wherewith they were
sanctified with (the chemistry there)--sanctified..." It ain't the Token.
89
The blood's not the Token now, the Life is the Token. The Life could not be
there, 'cause it was an animal. The chemistry was the Token. You'd have to have
literal blood applied on the door; but now, it's the Holy Spirit. We're coming
to it just in a moment to prove that. See? It's the Life that is the Token.
Your life is gone, and you are dead, and your life is dead. You are hid in God
through Christ, and sealed in there by the Holy Spirit. The mind that was in
Christ is in you, and Christ, and the Bible, and the Word is the same. "In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God." Then you, and the Word, and God, and Christ are the same. "And
if ye abide in Me and My word, you ask what you will,
and it'll be done." See?
90
Put the power right into Moses' lips to go out there with His Word and speak:
Frogs come. Speak: Frogs left. Speak: Lice come. Speak: Lice--lice left. Amen. But
then, the token was required for all Israel. All Israel was required of this
token, "And when I see the token, I'll pass over you." Oh, my, my.
What an assurance.
91
Israel coming out of Egypt was a type of the antetype
today. Egypt was the church, and Israel represented
the Bride. And as Israel come out of Egypt, so does the Bride come out of the
church. See? 'Cause there has to be something there for it to come out of, and it's got to come out of. So if it was the type...
The--the church is down in Egypt, in the world, and in sin, and does not care a
tinker about your Token. They don't even believe it. But Israel loved it, for
it was salvation to them.
92 Oh.
Oh, it should make us be--should make our hearts... Oh, apply it, church.
Don't--don't fail. Will you not? Don't--don't--don't
let the sun set. Don't--don't--don't--don't--don't rest day or night.
Don't take no chance; it won't work, children. It
won't work. You must have the Token. You say, "I believe, yes. I
go... Yeah, I believe the message." That's all right, but... That's
good. But you must have the Token. Do you hear, Branham Tabernacle? You must
have the Token displayed. Without it, all your believings in vain. See? You'll live a good
life; you listen to what the Word says; you go to church; you try to live
right; that's fine, but that's not it.
93 "When I see
the Blood," that's the Token, and the Token here is not... 'cause what
did... He had to see the actual chemistry, because the life had gone, had gone
from it. It was an animal. But here it's His Own
Life that was in the Blood, and the chemistry was only a sign of
sanctification. But the Life Itself is the Token. For without the
circumcision, without the Token, you're not even in the covenant.
The whole thing works together. If you say you're circumcised to the Word, and It only, then you'll believe the Word. If you
believe the Word, then the Token's got to come. For He said, "Repent,
and be baptized everyone of you in the Name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy
Ghost." There you are. Oh, my.
Token the 63-1128E P:28 "And these signs shall
follow them that believe," not just professors, but identified believers.
"They may not follow. They probably will, and perhaps they will"?
Jesus said, "They shall follow them that believe." Just
absolutely impossible for it not to happen. "The works that I do
shall you do also." That's the identification. Jesus' identification was
to manifest the Word of God, which He was. And the Church's identification
today is to manifest the promised Word of this day by the same Spirit that
manifested and quickened the Word then. The same Spirit quickens the Word to
the believer today and manifests the same thing, showing that the Token is on
this person, which is the resurrected Life of Jesus Christ living in His
believer. Oh, that ought to set a church afire. And that's true, just as true
as it could be.
1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth
not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the
victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is
righteous, even as he (God) is
righteous.
Let us pray...
Token 63-09-01 par 345 " Let
me live the example of what Christ said a man should be. Let me be a
brother to a brother, a brother to a sister. Let me be a - a minister to
the ministers. Let me be an example of examples. Let me show to the
world that this Word is Christ. The only way I can do it is come into
Him. Cause, I can't do it myself , you can't do
it. But Let the Word and you become One, then
It lives Itself out. You are a walking epistle of Jesus Christ, when He's
got complete control, control of you , to make every
Word."
Par 224
" Don't you rely upon no speaking in tongues, no nothing else. but let the Token Itself be there, the Person of Jesus
Christ, His Own LIfe in you. Circumcise not
just this, that: but circumcise your whole being, till you and Christ are One. Christ is in you, and
His Life lives out through you."
We would see Jesus 57-0226 P:21 But now, while He's here working with His Church in the form of the
Spirit... Then if His Spirit is with us, He will act just exactly like He act when He was here on earth. It'll make you act the same
way, because it's not your spirit any more; it's His Spirit in you, Christ's
Spirit in you." The things that I do... He that believeth on Me (Saint John 14:12.), the works that I do, shall ye
do also." See? We'll do the same
works, think the same thoughts, live the same
type of life. If the Spirit of God is in you, it makes you live like
Christ, Christ-like. Then you become a written epistle, read of all
men, Christ in you, reflecting His Light out of you, as God was in
Christ reconciling the world to Himself, and
reflecting God from His own body. No man has seen God at any time, but the only
begotten of the Father has declared Him. God was in Christ. And what
Christ's attitude was, was God's attitude, 'cause the two work together, the Spirit and flesh united together. Got a
sermon on that: "The Dove And The Lamb."
Want to get on it one night, one of these weeks.
What shall I do with Jesus
63-1124M P:95 As
I said, if the life of Beethoven was in you, you'd live like Beethoven. If the
life of Hitler was in you, you'd live like Hitler. And when the Life of Christ
is in you, you'll live like Christ. And the works of Christ you do.
And that'll be... If Christ lived today He'd do exactly what the Word said He'd
do today. And if the Word said that, "He is the same yesterday, today, and
forever," why can't this blind ecclesiastical world see the time that they're
living. See?
Faith once delivered to the
saints 57-0610 P:38 Not that, "This brother prayed for me, and this one cast a devil
out, and this done that, the other"; Mental emotions can do that. But when
that real, genuine faith that God spoke the truth, it's settled in the person's
heart. It's eternal. Feeling has nothing to do with it no more. God said so.
Then that faith is stabled. No matter what takes place, how you feel, whether
you get sick or whether you do or not. That has nothing to do with it. It's
that faith that was once delivered to the saints that they believe. They seen the works of God. They knowed it was God. It was a
vindicated to them. Jesus said, "If
I do not the works of God, then don't believe Me." But He did the works of God. And He said, "I do not do nothing in Myself, till I see the
Father do it first. Whatever I see the Father doing, then
the Son does likewise." He said, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do
shall he do also." That was the Church.
Christ left this that His Church would have His Spirit. And the
Spirit of Christ will perform, and act, and live like Christ. Amen. How can
we segregate ourselves, when Christ taught brotherly love, "By this all
men will know you're My Church," when you've got love one for another.
Where I think Pentecost failed
55-1111 P:44 When you cross Jordan, it's
death; you go into that veil I was talking about last night, inside the holiest
of holies, where your Light is no more of the world. You'll walk in fellowship
side by side with Christ in you, the hope of glory, the Holy Ghost moving and
living in the mortal being. And if maybe I told you tonight, that the spirit of
some great artist was in me, you would expect me to paint a picture like the
artist. If I told you the spirit of John Dillinger
was in me, you'd look for me to have big guns, and be a desperado. And If
I've told you the Spirit of Christ was in me, I have to do the works of Christ.
And if you profess to be a Christian, depart from sin and selfishness and
tempers, and live like Christ did, a peaceful, humble, God-blessed life.
Amen. That's right.
Identifications
63-0123, 40 Now,
Jesus gave us the Example of what we ought to be looking at, when He reflected
His Life to us through the Word, what we should see. When we look into God's
mirror, we should see ourself identified with Him.
That is a perfect Example. 41 Now, but we find out that, as we go along through
life, that our character molds the image that we
are. Each one knows that. You, as you live, so is your character, molds
you to what you are. Now, you have seen people that you just love to be
around, yet they might not exactly be in your bracket of society. And, again,
they might be of a different race, the colored, or the brown, or the yellow. But there just something about that character, that you just love
to be in their presence. Because each person is a
little dynamo of their own, and you put out an atmosphere. 42 And then you see people that were noble people, but
yet you were always glad to get away from them. It's just they create such an
atmosphere around where you are. Nothing against them, they're nice people, but
you just don't like that atmosphere, they, they're… they're in. And their
character creates whatever they are, makes them what they are.
58 You cannot, no way, ever produce a Character like
that; only, accepting that Character in you. A church cannot do that. A creed
cannot do that. A denomination cannot do that. An education cannot do that. It
must be a Birth. It's got to be a dying out, and let God in, by the
grace of Christ, mold this type of character in you, that you become Him, and
your life and His is the same, then you are sons and daughters of God.
70 Now, with our
Message, can we stand by the looking glass of God's Word and see Christ reflect
in our own lives then? Can we bear such, and the reproach of the Message that
we're standing for here? Someone can say something about It, and yet you just don't open your mouth and say nothing
about it. He was example, because God was reflecting His character in
Him. And then if we're sons and daughters of God, God reflects His character
in us, then we become like Him. That's my heart's desire. I think that's
every believer's desire, is to become more like Him.
106 Oh, no other nature
could do this. No. Cause, He was the molded perfect character of God.
107 For, it was a fallen character that all nature had. All men had a fallen
character. Even everything that was under man fell.
Everything has got a dying character. 108 And He had a living character,
so He expressed it in Christ, and He paid the price. And then because of
His obedience, He raised Him up on the third day. See? 109
And then He gives to us. That gives to us the proof. It gives to
us the assurance, that, as long as we're in Him, we're already risen with Him. We won't raise with Christ; we're already
raised with Christ. That's right. We are in Christ now. And if
Christ be risen from the dead, aren't we raised from
the dead with Him? [Congregation says, "Amen."—Ed.] Amen. "Now
we're setting together in Heavenly places in Him." Oh, my! That ought to
make you Presbyterians shout. Uh-huh. Yeah. Certainly.
Expressed images of God, molded after the fashion of Christ, that the world
can see Him in you. That's the looking glass to look at. 110 No other
nature could do it; it was fallen. And God identified. Look. God identified
Himself as a Man, and took upon Him the form of sin. Now, well, not sin, but
the form of sin, that in order that He might take the sin of the sinner, see,
and pay the penalty for it, and give the sinner back the Life that he had
before the fall. Oh, my! What love God has expressed to us! See? Think of it. 111 And now remember, after Jesus doing this, when
nobody else could do it, we are invited. Now, church, think of this just a
minute. We are invited to shape our own character to His, by His grace.
We are invited, think of it, to become characters like
His. If we are ready to lay our character down, and the molding that we had,
"Heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, false
accusers, and incontinent, despisers of those that are trying to do right,
having a form of godliness and denying the power of the Word." How can God
come into a place like that, when they deny the Word? When, He watches over His
Word, to vindicate It, to make It come to pass. And
the Word is pushed out, how can He identify Himself with something like that?
112 We've got to take the entire, full Gospel. We must. And now, being that we
have identified ourselves as full Gospel people, let's mold our character.
We're invited to be molded in His Image, that we might reflect His Presence.
"And the works
that I do, shall you do also. The Life that I live, so shall you." We're invited, by God, to take
Him as an Example, and let our character be molded like His. What a thing!
My! 113 Then, when we let His character be in
us, then we have become sons, by having the mind of Christ, mind, which is His
character. Your mind makes your character. "Let the mind," Paul said, "of Christ, this mind that was in Christ, be
in you." Let that
mind of Christ be in you. It molds the character of a son of God. Now, how… 114 Just listen a minute. How can we have the mind of
Christ that was in Him, and then deny the things that He commissioned us to do?
How can we place miracles in the past, when the very Christ Himself was God, and God in you. In the Presence of God, there's always miracles. He said, "You call Me 'Lord.' Why call ye Me 'Lord,'
and do not the things that I have commanded you to do, I laid out for you to
do?" Don't you see where we've gotten to, where the church is drifting?
And I find it a whole lot among our Pentecostals, too. We're drifting too far
from that Lifeline. We must come back to that, friend, come back, because we're
getting big now. 115 I see where the Business
Men's publication is the greatest one, as much maybe as what Oral Roberts has
got. And I find out that when we go to getting big, then we go to acting big,
see, just like Israel did. And we go to acting like we're just compare with the—the rest of them. Remember, "You are a
different people. You are a holy nation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar
people." Why, we Pentecostals got so we ain't
any more peculiar than any the rest the world. We just dress, act, talk, go do
the things they do; run home, watch television, instead of staying for church;
and just the same things they do, about. We're trying to compete, trying to be
like the Joneses. See? We don't want to do that. 116 We want to be, make this
Bible our looking glass, and let ourselves be molded by His character; having
His character, His mind, letting the mind that was in Christ be in us. His mind
was always… 117 What was His mind to do, the mind that
was in Christ? Always to stay with the Father's Word. No matter what looked
glossy, and what looked this way, it didn't make any difference to Him. The
Father's Word is what counted. Everywhere, when He met the devil, He never even
used His power to defeat him. He used the Word, because that was Him. 118 Did you ever think? He never wrote a book when He
was on earth. As far as we know, He never wrote but one time. That was in the
sand. Then erased it out, probably, afterwards. Why
didn't He write a word? Because He was the Word. See?
He lived the Word. We don't need so many books, when you become a written
epistle of God. See? See? That's what God wants you to be, images of Him.
I really believe it is the job of the
Holy Ghost, but which he uses ministers to do also -
Acts 8:30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias,
and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? 31 And he
said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he
would come up and sit with him.
Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the
flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the
church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Romans 10:14-17 How then shall
they call on him in whom they have not believed? and
how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and
how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach,
except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful
are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of
good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed
our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some,
prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till
we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ: 14 That
we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and
fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow
up into him in all things, which is the head, even
Christ:
James 5:19-20 Brethren, if any of you do err from the
truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him know, that
he which converteth the sinner from the error of his
way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
John 20:23
Whose soever sins
ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the
works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall
he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye
shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the
Son. 14 If ye shall ask any
thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep
my commandments.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake
unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.
The attitude of the heart, let this
attitude which was in Christ be in you
Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to
the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and
smite the earth with a curse.
1Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
2Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to
make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never
fall:
1Peter 3:15 And account that
the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even
as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath
written unto you;
Isaiah1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your
sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like
crimson, they shall be as wool.
Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica,
in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the
scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
1John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth
not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the
spirit of error.
James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every
man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Phil. 2:1-5 If there be
therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship
of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfill ye my joy, that ye
be likeminded, having the same love, being of one
accord, of one mind.3 Let
nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but
in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look
not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let
this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth
a matter before he heareth it,
it is folly and shame unto him.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed
on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And
ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Seventy Weeks of Daniel 89-141 SUNDAY_
61-0806 5 Many times people hear from
tapes, and they say, "Well, I disagree with that. He just don't know his
teaching, doesn't know the Scripture." Well, that may be all true. See, I
wouldn't say that isn't true, but to me, I study it, not taking any words... I
read what other men has to say and appreciate them.
And everything that anyone says, I appreciate it. But then I take it to God,
and I stay with it until I can explain it from Genesis to Revelation, and then
see it all hook up in the Bible, and then I know it's somewhere near right. And
'course, where you're right, that's just one place that I got off of the
line at. And maybe where you're wrong or right, that's where I got off the
line, and vice versa.
Be Not Afriad
61-0311 E-13 And I looked at him, and I called him by name. I'm
afraid to say it, 'cause many of you know him. And I said, "Doctor, I'm
surprised that a man of your caliber, a servant of Christ, would ask another
servant of Christ to compromise on the Word of God." That's right. I said,
"I'm surprised at you saying that." He said, "Well, we think that you're wrong in
your conception." I
said, "Then correct me by the Scripture." That's the way it
is. I said, "Then correct me." See? And I said, "I would
not compromise on the Word of God." No, sir."
Identified with Christ 59-1220E 39 Now. See? "Though I speak with tongues of men and Angels and have not charity (though he could do it), I'm nothing." So you see, you can't
say nothing. Now, to my precious Methodist friend. I got two setting right here, and everywhere. I
got them out here, many of them. The Methodist church used to believe, back in
its early, primitive days, that when a man got religion enough and sanctified
to shout, he had It. The Pentecost said when he spoke
with tongues he had It. And nowadays they say if you've got a healing ministry,
you got It. But there isn't any of... Listen, friends. Don't try to depend and seek
sensations. Instead, rely upon realities (See?), not sensation. Shouting's all right; speaking in tongues is all right;
praising the Lord's all right; faith for miracles is all right, all those
things and those feelings... Some of them say, "Oooh,
I felt It like a rushing wind." Another one say, "I
felt fire in my soul." What... That doesn't make it right either way. It's
what you are after you have received It. See?
That's what counts. See? So you can't pin It to any
certain sensation. Now, that's honestly the best that I know. Now, I may be
wrong; if I am, then I misunderstand the Scripture. And if it's contrary, well,
I don't mean to be contrary. See? But I'm just telling it my version of what I
believe that is Truth.
Jehovah Jireh 2 60-0802
E-51 Now, He said them things would happen. I want
to give some of us old people some courage right now. I want to,
You might differ a little on this. And if it does, you do this just like, now,
I do when I'm eating cherry pie. That's my favorite pie. And when I eat cherry
pie, if I hit a seed, I don't eat the seed, I just
throw the seed out, and go on and eat the pie. So when I'm eating chicken...
All preachers like chicken. When I hit the bone, I don't say that chicken's no
good and push it back. I just eat all the meat off the bone, and leave the
bone. So that's the way you do with what you--what I'm going to say now. If
you can't--just eat what's meats on it, and the rest
of seems like bone, or a seed, just leave it alone. See? Let it lay there.

4-5 And I want you to do like this: when you're
setting this afternoon I'm going to ask you a favor. Just got
a little short, few notes here. As I've told you, I have to make myself write
my Scriptures out. Used to be I could almost quote the Bible by heart, but not
now. Went through too many hard battles; got too old for that. But I trust that
you'll listen to me just a little while this afternoon and just really open
your heart and try to understand what I'm digging at. Then I think it'll be
better, especially the pastors of the city and different places. I trust that
you'll listen real close. And
now you do that the way I do when I eat my favorite pie: cherry; some of my
favorite meat, chicken. So when I'm eating a fine piece of cherry pie and I hit
a seed, I don't stop the pie; I just throw the seed out and keep on eating pie.
And when I hit the bone of a chicken, I don't throw the chicken away; I just
throw the bone away. So why, if I'd say something that you wouldn't agree upon
anytime, just throw that part away but look at it real good; be sure it's bone
now. And then may I also say; if it's a seed, remember, it brings forth the new
life. So look real hard, and may the Lord bless. A...

4-2 If I make mistakes, forgive me. I'm not a
theologian. I don't criticize theologians; theology's all right. It's what
we need. But sometimes I criticize the condition that we've gotten into. And
that doesn't mean to any certain individual. It's just the Message. I wish that
it wasn't mine to give. It tears me to pieces 'cause you know how you'd feel.
Unpardonable Sin 54-1024 190 I'm laying this as a basic foundation for the
coming revival. You bring your Bible every night. You bring your pencil, bring your book to check off. And any time that you
see anything you don't understand, come, let us reason
it together. I want
to know truth, too. I'm just as open for truth as you are. And I want to know
what's right and what's wrong, for I don't want to disobey one thing that He
said to do. See? I want every bit of it in my own heart, but it has to come by
the Word. "For if we disbelieve wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin."
Why We are
not a Denomination 58-0927 10
Therefore, Lord, we're here to check up on our salvation, to see how we're
standing in the sight of Thy Word, and to see how we are situated in our
experiences. Are we living that which is pleasing to Thee? Does
our spirits bear record with Your Spirit? And does our teaching bear
record with this Bible? And, Father, may we examine both closely in these
next three coming services. Grant it, Lord.
Be Not Afraid It is I 60-0720 E-27 That's the best thing to do. Now, just don't stay
home and say, "Well, the Joneses said so-and-so." Don't do that. Come,
bring your Bible, and search the Scriptures, and see if it's right or not.
Come, see for yourself. Don't come just for an hour. Come to stay till you're
thoroughly convinced that it's right. That's the way. Check it by the Scripture,
knowing that whether it is true or whether it is not, when you are convinced to
the Scriptural teachings of the Bible whether it's right or not. Now, that's
what he was referring too.
We would see Jesus 62-0627 E-19 And then, each night the Scriptures that I
use... Sometimes I write out several Scriptures here to refer to. And if I
refer to these Scriptures, and what you see taking place, if it doesn't seem
natural to you, go home and check it with the Bible. Then you owe it to me,
if it isn't God's promise to come back and tell me about it. And lay it up here
on my desk and say, "Brother Branham, that's not right. That's not
Scripture." See? And if it is Scripture, then you owe it to yourself to
believe It, don't you, for it's God.
Greater Than Solomon is Here 63-0628E 141 Said, "Come and see. Don't stay there and
criticize. Come, find out for yourself." If we could only do the same thing tonight. Come, see. Take your Bible, check what you see
going on. "Search the Scripture," Jesus said, "for They are They that testify of Me." that He is the Word.
And the Scriptures Itself is the Word, so It testifies
of Him when the Scripture becomes Life to you, when It's made manifest in you.
God identified by His Characteristics
64-0311 5 Just remember each night now, bring somebody with
you, or get on the phone and tell somebody, and tell every pastor, every
church. No matter what it is, even if they different with us, long as you come
in, set down, behave and be nice, we certainly appreciate you being here. And now, bring your Bible,
bring a pencil, set down the text. Go, seek them out; check them with
the Word and see if they're right or not. See? And then don't take your
own theology; just take it the way the Bible is written. See, many times
we can say, "It means this; this is what It means." God don't need
any interpreter; He interprets His Own Word. See? God said, "Let there be light," and there
was light. That didn't need any interpretation. It happened just the way He
said. He said, "A virgin shall conceive," and she did. That don't need any interpretation. God has promised certain things for this age that's
got to come to pass. He said it; it don't need
interpretation then. God said so, and He interprets Himself; so therefore, the
Bible said It's not without any private
interpretation. God interprets His Own Word by vindicating It.
Investments 62-1124B E-40 But you got to find out
where your loose screws is. Sometimes you got (Excuse me.)--got plenty of them.
Some of them even gets too tight. You have to loosen
it up a little (That's right.) to make the vibration. Like a musician with his
guitar, training his strings, he has to know the ting of it. A Spirit-filled
man could tell the ting of it, whether it's way beyond
the Bible, or way behind the Bible. It has to be right in the Bible, exactly
with THUS SAITH THE LORD, must be trained in right.
Then it'll zero. Then it'll hit the spot.
Jesus Christ the Same 63-0604 E-56 Bring your Bible along and check it, see if
it's right. That's what everybody ought to do.
Man Running from the Presence 65-0217 62 Say for instance I said I was going west, and you
pointed me this a-way. Well, the first thing you know, I run plumb a-passed my
target. And I'm too--I'm northwest. Well, what if somebody points me down this
way, and I go that way. I'll pass my target again; I went southwest. Well, as
long as there's a question of which was is west, there's got to be a direct
answer somewhere. And when these questions confront us about the Bible truths,
there's got to be the right answer somewhere. That's right; it's got to be
there. And when we see something presented, I think instead of just running
away, say, "Oh, nonsense, I couldn't believe a thing like that; I
couldn't believe that," why don't you take the Bible and set down and
face up to it. Study It. You're here in the meeting now; just look it over.
Check it out yourself with the Word; check the Word by the Word. That's the
only way to make It tell the Truth. And It must tell
the Truth from Genesis to Revelation
Matthew 7:21-24 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord,
Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my
Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that
day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and
in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess
unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore
whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth
them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Matthew 7:14-15 Because strait is the
gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets,
which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Acts 17:10-13 And
the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who
coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These
were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the
word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily,
whether those things were so. 12 Therefore
many of them believed; also of honorable women which were Greeks, and of men,
not a few. 13 But when the Jews of
Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea,
they came thither also, and stirred up the people.
1. Being open minded - "having
a ready mind to listen" Acts 17:11 These were more
noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all
readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were
so.. The identifiable characteristic of
organization is they will not permit their members to check anything out that has
not been approved from their group of preachers that they have recognized as
"in the faith".
2. They loved the Word of God - and
"search scriptures daily". They will not permit those who love the truth to search things
out they teach, and they brand them trouble makers.
3. A Christian is not biased when
it comes to the Word of God, either it is in the Bible or it is not - But the
organizational person like the synagogues in the first church Age, were
instructed by Jewish teachers not to listen to Paul. But the Christians sought
out the truth, and were impartial enough to listen to what Paul's explanation of
the Scripture was, and they were honest with the scripture when they heard it. True
believers do not judge others immediately even if the influence of their
leaders commands you to be? True Christians are objective and not motivated by
organizational spirit?
4. True believers when they hear the
truth, they are quick to repent. "times of this ignorance..now commanded men everywhere to repent" The orgnaizational spirit keeps their
people ignorant of truth. Jesus said those who hunger and thirst for
right-wise-ness shall be filled. People who just blindly follow Nicolaitan instructions are ignorant of what really is
taking place.
5. Love God and the brethren - "he who loves God hears us"
Paul said "bear with me a little with my folly..if others bring you another
doctrine ye do well to bear with him"
A true believer is careful not to judging others by hearsay which is
second hand or third hand. We are told those who will be rejected are they who
love and believe a lie.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and
idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in
deed and in truth.
1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the
Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a
pure heart fervently:
2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up
into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
He himself should be able to prove it himself from the bible and not
avoid contending it with those he thought in error instead of avoiding.
1Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of
the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write
unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and
exhort you that ye should earnestly contend
for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
1Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
How can I overcome - 63-0825M And then look at the Laodicea
church age after it has received the Holy Ghost. And with the knowledge of, and
the Spirit of God within it, and then the works of God is denied by it, and
called it a evil work, then what about that? There's where Christ was put out
of His own church. See, He... It never showed Him in the church until it come
to Laodicea. And when He got to Laodicea,
He'd been put out of His church, trying to get back in. Now, see, justification
never put Him in. Sanctification just cleaned the place for Him. But when the baptism of the Holy Spirit come, it put Him in the people.
And now, they've turned Him out when He begin to show Hisself
that He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. They turned Him out, because
they had denominated and the--the Spirit of the Lord don't agree with their
denominations.
57-0226 Sirs we Would See Jesus
E-21 But now, while
He's here working with His Church in the form of the Spirit... Then if His
Spirit is with us, He will act just exactly like He act
when He was here on earth. It'll make you act the same way, because it's not
your spirit any more; it's His Spirit in you, Christ's Spirit in you. "The
things that I do... He that believeth on Me (Saint John 14:12.), the works
that I do, shall ye do also." See? We'll do the same works, think the same thoughts, live the same type of life. If the Spirit of God is in you, it makes you
live like Christ, Christ-like.
Questions and answers COD - 59-1223
And "If ye abide in Me and My Word in
you..." See? We become a part of His Word, part of His Life, for we are
flesh of his flesh, and bone of His bone, and life of His Life. Then we can no
more perish than God Himself could perish. That's what the Holy Ghost is.
Show us the Father and it will satisfy -
60-0731 He's God. Just a... He--He's
part of you. He's a fiber of you. We're the flesh of his flesh, and the bone of
His bone. We're are a part of Him, 'cause we're His
children. And God dwells in us just like He did in His Son, Christ Jesus.
Five identifications - 60-0911E
He calls the church the Bride. And the bride is no longer, and the bridegroom
is no longer two people; they are one. She's flesh of his flesh and
bone of his bone. And then when a man or a woman is called to the mystical Body
of Christ by the Holy Spirit, they become a full member of His Body when
they're filled with the Holy Ghost, 'cause God took the Spirit out of Christ,
raised up His body and placed it on His throne, and sent back the Holy Spirit to
make up the mystical Body of Christ, which will be united at the marriage
supper at the coming of the Lord. You cannot organize it.
Spoken word original seed - 62-0318E But when Christ comes, He's coming for a virgin with--a church without
even one spot or one wrinkle of denomination or any other thing, dogmas, mixed
with it. It's going to be Word and that alone. 113. Now. Oh, man, here we
are. Blessed be the Lord. Now, we come to the Body to be the Bride of Christ. Now, to be His flesh of his flesh, and bone of His bone.
Now, we'll hurry up now. flesh of his flesh and bone
of His bone...
Spoken word original seed - 62-0318M God working through you. See, you're part of the Word which is
Christ. And we are taught that He is the Word, and we are flesh of his flesh
and bone of His bone.
Sign of His coming - 62-0407 And we'll have to have a ministry just exactly like His whole Spirit
as it gets closer, closer, closer, closer. The
negative becomes so positive that after while the negative and positive blends
together, Church and Christ to make one: for we're flesh of his flesh and bone
of His bone. Amen. You believe it?
Sign of His coming - 62-0407 If it's a Messiah coming, and we're born again Messiahettes,
as sons of God, adopted, He will have to come into His church to be flesh of
his flesh, and bone of His bone. I pray, God, that You'll manifest yourself
tonight and show these things to be true, that this lovely pastor, this lovely
church, these lovely people may all be blessed and know that the end time signs
are here.
Be not afraid - 62-0620 She was part of Abraham. He'd have to take Abraham with her. Oh, that's
where grace comes in. All the mistakes and our errors, God holds us because
we're part of Christ: the grace of God holding us. Oh, amazing grace! How sweet
the sound. He could not take Sarah, because if He did He'd have to strike
Abraham with it. He cannot take the church. In all of its mistakes, it's still
His church. That's right. He can't take it because He'd take Christ. She's it's part of Christ. She becomes flesh of his flesh, and
bone of His bone. All of our ins and outs, and unbeliefs,
and so forth, and scruples: as long as she's into that body, and her
ups-and-downs, the grace of God still holds her. And there she was. She said...
As she laughed, He said, "Why did Sarah laugh in the tent?
QA on the seals - 63-0324M When God give Christ His Bride (the Spirit gave the flesh, the Bride)
He was pierced in the side under His heart, and water, Blood, and Spirit came
forth; that become flesh of his flesh and bone of His bone. We are the flesh
and bones; the Bride will be the flesh and bones of Christ, exactly. They are
the... That is His Bride. 111. 22. Would the Bride of Christ have... Would the Bride of Christ have a ministry before the rapture?Sure. That's what's going
on right now. See? The Bride of Christ... Certainly.
It is the Message of the hour (See?), the Bride of Christ. Sure, She's consist of apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists,
and pastors. Is that right? That's the Bride of Christ. Sure, She's got a
ministry, great ministry; it's the ministry of the hour; it'll be so humble...
Christ is the mystery - 63-0728 So that same Word moves from the Head as the day comes close, down into
the Body, down into the Body vindicating that they are One. They're Husband and
Wife. They're flesh of his flesh, Word of His Word, Life of His Life, Spirit of His Spirit. See? Amen. How do you know it? Bears the same record, same fruit, same Word (See?), manifests
Christ: same Life, same God, same Spirit, same Word, same Book (Amen!), same
signs, "Things that I do shall you also." Oh hallelujah. My... 285. Notice the vindicated Word in His Body is
His very victory and the reason of His death. See, the death, not in the
Spirit... When He died, He only died in the flesh;
Easter seal - 65-0410 Oh, remember, we are flesh of his flesh, bone of His bones, if we are
His Bride.
Easter seal - 65-0410 Remember, we are flesh of his flesh and bone of His bone.
Easter seal - 65-0410 Notice, and it gives them joy to know that we are with Him, of flesh of
his flesh and bone of His bone. What a joy. 113. That's the only thing
that a real believer cares about.
Rising of the sun - 65-0418M And now, the whole world has to
recognize that He's alive again. He was not only the Mechanics (God's Word), He was the Dynamics to prove It. And if He, being the
Groom, the Bride has to come forth, 'cause It's part
of Him. And It can only be the manifestation of the
fulfilling of all of revelations and the others that spoke of the Bride. And It can only manifest... And if it does something different
from the Groom, it isn't the Bride, because She's
flesh of his flesh, bone of His bone, Life of His Life, power of His power. She
is Him. As man and woman are one, and woman taken from his side, She has taken
His Spirit (the feminish Spirit from Him), the flesh
from His side, made both mechanics and Dynamics, the Wife, the Spirit of Him
and the flesh of Him and put it together and made mechanics and Dynamics.
Rising of the sun - 65-0418M So the
Bride must also be flesh of his flesh, and bone of His bone.
Rising of the sun - 65-0418M Now, if the Spirit that raised Him from the
dead, the Word, the Dynamic of the Word, dwells in you, It also quickens your
mortal body. Now, how are we flesh of his flesh and bone of His bone? Because
(quickly) while we were yet mortal sinners (mortal, ready to die, these
bodies), It quickens that body. What's quicken? Brings to Life. The Spirit that once liked to drink, run
around, commit adultery, and all these... It's quickened. Why, the thing's died and you're resurrected. It quickens your mortal
body. Therefore, your body is the temple of the Dynamics.
Rising of the sun - 65-0418M And remember, we are flesh of his flesh Jesus Christ. We are flesh
of his flesh and bones of His bones. Oh, there's no way out of it; we're going
to rise and that's all.
God's provided place of worship -
65-0425 Now, remember, in Christ we are
flesh of his flesh, bone of His bones. When God wounded Christ at Calvary, He was
wounded for me and you. We are flesh of his flesh, and bone of His bone, body
of His body, Name of His Name, Bride of Him. See, we are in Him; we are His
flesh and His bones.
God's provided place of worship -
65-0425 Let us
take a look at those faithful ones at Pentecost. They were all in the upper
room there, and they was all scared. They had the
title, all right, but they were afraid. And all at once there came a sound from heaven
(the abstract sent down to them) like a rushing mighty wind, filled all the house where they were setting. And they were so
quickened by That, till all their cowardliness they
were... One of them was even afraid, they even denied he wasn't a Pharisee yet,
or he wasn't a Sadducee yet. But when that Holy Ghost fell and baptized him
into Jesus Christ, he became flesh of his flesh, bone of His bone, Word of His
Word. He was a new creation. He was a new person. It quickened his body.
66. Look what It did, what It does to you when It
comes in. It don't make you go out and say, "I'm
Methodist. I'm Baptist. Oh, I know I oughtn't to smoke. I oughtn't to have
this. I oughtn't to wear these kind of clothes. I
oughtn't to do this. I oughtn't to do that." It so quickens you till you
have to do it. It quickens your mortal bodies.
Seed shall not be heir - 65-0429B Therefore, part of his spirit, part of his body: flesh of his flesh,
bone of his bone, Word of His Word, Life of His Life, and that's the way the
Bride is to Christ. That's why the rapture of the royal Seed has to come first.
And the rest of the dead live not for a thousand years, then
they were brought up at the white throne judgment. See, there is no judgment to
the royal Seed, or the predestinated Seed of Abraham. 25. Now, if you'll
take Saint John 5:24, listen to this, "He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, has
Everlasting Life."Now, how would that be so much
different from many of our theologies? Now, I could walk out here and say to a
drunkard, "Do you believe?" "Sure." A man with another
man's wife, "Do you believe?" "Sure." "Did you set in
the meeting last night to hear the Word?" "Sure." "You
believe It?" "Sure." He's just saying
that. But the original interpretation of this Word, "he that understandeth My Word, and will believe on Him that sent Me... He that understands," that is to who It's made
known to.
51-0413 The Works That I Do Bear Witness
Of Me E-16
And now, I want to speak just a moment, or just bring your attention to a few
words here that Jesus said, "The works that I do bear witness of Me."
The things that I do, what I say, is what bears record of me. And that's what
bears record of every person. Do you know, I'd rather you'd live me a sermon
than preach me one? It'll be a better evidence that
you're a Christian. Isn't that right? A live a sermon.
And what we are is what we live, what we do. Our actions shows what we are. And if we say we have faith, and
then afraid to step out and claim our faith and put it to work, then our faith
doesn't do us much good, does it? The Bible said that faith without works is
dead, just as the body without the spirit is dead. So is faith without works.
57-0623 Believe From The Heart A man's work declares his character. Christ was God's work. And
Christ declared God's character, His feeling for the sick, His longing for
saving of souls, till even He gave His own life. God's work... God's character
was declared in Christ. And if you can just empty your own intellectual
thoughts out and give God the right of way, He can declare His character
through the work of your yielding. Empty out; get the world, get your doubts
out of the way. If you come to the altar to be prayed for, say, "I'll go
up and see if I get healed," God can never declare His works. You've got
to get your own thoughts out of the way and let Him fill you.
Sir would we see Jesus - 54-1205 Listen. "Verily, verily, I say unto
you, the Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father
doing." Well, whatever doeth He showeth the Son.
Is that right? "The Father worketh and I worketh hitherto." In other words, "I can do
nothing as the Son of God." And men claiming to be
Divine healers, when even the Son of God didn't claim to be a Divine healer.
He said, "I can do nothing." He didn't claim to be a healer. Said,
"It isn't Me that does the work. It's My Father
that dwelleth in Me; He
doeth the works." Then if we're sons of God today with
the Father's Spirit in us, what about it? The same Spirit, the same
mind, the same works, the same power...
