Prisoners
to the Word not Willfully disobedient
Brian Kocourek, Pastor
This
evening I would like to continue with Christ is the
Mystery of God Revealed, and we'll pick up at paragraph 228 where brother Branham says,
"It
goes right by them, and they don't recognize it till it's
gone. It only picks up the predestinated seed that God predestinated
before the foundation of the earth. The same thing come
through in the days of Noah. Same thing come through in the days of Moses, days
of Elijah, days of the prophets, days of Jesus, on down through and to this
very hour. The pregnated person with the seed of God, the Word in
there manifesting Itself, so surrendered to the will of God that the
Word and the Word alone manifests Itself and this person's a prisoner,
to an individual."
Now, I would like to focus our thoughts tonight on this statement
brother Branham makes,
"It goes right by them,
and they don't recognize it till it's gone." Then brother Branham
contrasts that to those who are the predestinated seed which he also calls the
pregnated person with the seed of God. And it is in them the ones who have
received the true baptism of the Holy Ghost that the word within them will
manifest itself in them because they are as he says, so
surrendered to the will of God that the Word and the
Word alone manifests Itself in them.
Therefore
tonight, being this is communion night and when we come to the communion table
we are to have already judged ourselves by This Word or else we will take the
Communion unworthily, and bring judgment on ourselves, not discerning the Body
of the Lord, which body is the bride of Christ.
I
get emails daily from brothers telling me of the battles they are having in
this Message from those who think we are teaching two Gods. And the argument used
is they say brother Branham said "Jesus is God". But they fail to
read brother Branham's explanation of those statements, and always he says
something like, Jesus is God because God dwelt in him. Or Jesus was God,
because God came into his flesh and manifested Himself to humanity using that
flesh.
Always
there is an explanation, but if we are not careful we see brothers begin to pit
brother Branham against the Scriptures, saying "the scriptures are our
absolute", and "the Scriptures were brother Branham's absolute".
When we do that we begin to let Satan divide and conquer.
If
we truly believe that the Scriptures were indeed brother Branham's absolute,
and ours, then we should not believe for one second that brother Branham said
contrary to the Scriptures. That is the first mistake you can make because as I
said if Satan can get you to think brother Branham is confusing, then you will
lay aside brother Branham's sermons and go to just reading your Bible, or as
some others have done, find another absolute.
And
when you have laid aside the Message and go strictly to reading your Bible,
Satan now has you where he wants you because what protestant church hasn't
already done just that. And Satan is a master at confusing the people minds
concerning Scripture. He even tried to do it with Jesus Christ himself. But notice what Jesus always replied when
Satan misquoted the Scripture. Jesus said, "it is
also written."
Because
we are taught in Scripture that we must rightly divide the word of truth. So
when men come to you and say, brother Branham is confusing, it is because they
are not rightly dividing the truth of what he is saying.
As
brother Vayle said, these people who say brother Branham is confusing, he's
only confusing to those whose minds are all muddy to begin with. If you come to
this Word with a confused mind, you will go away with a confused mind. Because the Word of God can not be rightly divided by just anybody.
It can only be rightly divided by those who are full of the Holy Ghost.
Paul
said in 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor
ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God
hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:
So if you do not have His
Spirit the Word will never be understandable to you. You will not be able to
rightly divide the Word. Then Paul says, ...
"For the
Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For
what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit
of God knows.
So
we see here that Paul makes it quite plain that unless you have the Spirit of
God, you will never know the things of God. And then he says,
12 Now we have not received the spirit of the
world, but we have received
the spirit which is of God; (in
order that) that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God.
So
he is quite clear that only one who has received the Holy Spirit can indeed
know and thus understand the things of God. Then he says in verse...
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words
which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing
spiritual things with spiritual.
Now,
if you are going to "compare spiritual things with spiritual", and
the root of spiritual is "spirit", then you will also have to compare
"spirit" with "spirit" as the Apostle John commands us to
do as we will see in just a moment. But let's finish with what Paul is saying
before we go to 1 John.
Verse
14 But the natural man (that is the man that is not born again of the spirit
of God, he's just a carnal believer, not a spirit filled believer) the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, (in other words it is impossible
for someone who is not born again to know and thus understand the things of
God.) because they are spiritually discerned.
And if they are Spiritually discerned, then they are spirit discerned, for
spirit is the root of spiritual. So there is no discernment of spiritual things
without having the Spirit to do it.
15 But he that is spiritual (he that is Spirit filled) judgeth
all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of
the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. And
we have the mind of Christ if indeed we are filled with the Spirit of Christ.
As I mentioned the Apostle John said "try every spirit to see whether it is even in The Faith."
That's what he said in 1 John 4:1 Beloved,
believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:
Brother Branham said in his sermon, Discernment of spirit 60-0308 P:8
We have an order from God, is for
the discerning of spirit, trying the spirit. I believe that that is a very
great lesson for the church today, is to try the spirit of anything, have
discernment of the spirit. I do not think that we should ever, by any means,
ever try to judge a person by the denomination they belong to, or by the group
that they are assembled with...
And there has been too much of that in this Message.
Notice the command is to try the spirit, see what motivates that person, what
their objectives are. Don't judge the man by what group he associates with, but
by what he says, and the motive behind what he says.
Brother Branham never told us of all those
supernatural events to get people to look to him. He told us those things to
get us to believe that with God all things are possible. That's true discernment when you look at the
motives and objectives and line up with what they say and do with the motives
and objectives you discern in their spirit. But only those who have the holy Ghost can rightly divide the Word of truth, and when
the truth has been presented to anyone and they turn it down, God will place
their ear to an awl and pierce it, and they will never again be able to hear
the truth. And if faith cometh by hearing and you can not hear then where are
you at my brothers and sisters?
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after
that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more
sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of
judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died
without mercy under two or three witnesses:29 Of how much sorer
punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot
the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was
sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Now, that means if you come into this Message, and sit
under it and you hear the Word of God tell you what is right and what is wrong,
and you willfully choose to snub your nose at the truth, then God cuts you off
because you have stepped across the line willfully into sin, and from that
point on God will close your ears to the truth. And you will no longer accept
true Revelation. This is exactly what
brother Branham says in the next few quotes I am going to read to you.
From his sermon, Abraham's
Grace Covenant - 61-0317 And Hebrews (now watch), Hebrews the tenth chapter
said, "If we sin willfully..." Now, what is sin, brethren? Unbelief.
"He that believeth not is condemned already." You commit adultery. Why? Because you're an unbeliever. You steal, you lie, cheat. Why? Because you're
an unbeliever. That's right. A real true believer doesn't do that.
See? He doesn't do it, because the Holy Spirit in him... if he happens
to even make a mistake... the Bible said also, "And the worshiper, once purged, has no more conscious of sin." "He that's born
of God does not commit sin..." is not
an unbeliever, he's a believer. The Spirit of God remains in you cannot
sin. You can't be a believer and an unbeliever at the same time.
You're either a believer or not a believer. Now, listen to
Scripture. The man or woman that comes to a fact of the Bible,
comes up against the Scriptural doctrine... Ministers, whoever you are,
I say this with Godly love, and you see it, and know it is the truth, and
turn away from it, "there
remaineth no more sacrifice for sin, but a fearful looking for the judgment,
the fiery indignation which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised
Moses law..." Now, that is what God's vindicated prophet of God
said.
Too much Grace has been turned into disgrace even in
this Message. I hear it all the time, They say, "if God can't forgive that sin what can he forgive".
You've probably heard that too. But the same God who said "they who sin willfully after they have come to the knowledge
of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sin". That
mean's once you've come to the knowledge of the truth and then continue to live
in that sin, or pull your business deals, or lie, or cheat, or steal, or take
another man's wife, when you know to do better and you don't do it, there is no
more sacrifice for that sin. You've crossed the line, and will never be
forgiven.
God of this evil age 65-0801M P:77 Every
one of them perished in the wilderness, except the three that God brought out. Every... Jesus said, "They're every one dead."
That's eternally separated. They're all gone, never was forgiven. It's a unpardonable sin, never forgiven them.
Power
of transformation - 65-1031M 106.... then he become willfully disobedient. And when you
know to do good, and do it not, to you it's sin, if
you know what's right and you don't do it. See? Then he become
willfully disobedient. After the Word had been vindicated, then he
crossed the separating line; then he was ousted from
Notice the Scripture says, "if we sin willfully (that means to disbelieve
willfully) after we have received the
knowledge of the truth, (and anyone who has come into this
message has come to the knowledge of the truth. So if you disbelieve willfully
after coming into this Message and listened to a vindicated prophet tell you
that adultery is an attribute of unbelief, and you go out there anyway and
marry another man's wife or husband) there
remains no more sacrifice for sins,.
Now, listen you young people.
I'm talking to you right now. Too many people going around and saying, "if God can't forgive that what can he forgive."
who put that in your mind. Who says that God forgives that.
I hear people all the time say Brother Branham said,
"if God can not forgive that sin then what can he
forgive."
Do a search and see if he ever said that. he never did say that. He said in his sermon, Have faith in God 58-0105 The
rest lays on your shoulders alone. And if you can't believe it, there's not a
thing on earth can help you, that I know of. If God
can't help you, who can? So let us be reverent, and let us believe.
I'm going to read you another quote from William
Branham prophet of God and I could read you many more just like it, but when
you know to do right and you don't do it, it then becomes iniquity, and the
Bible tells us that no one who commits iniquity will enter into heaven. And I
have a surprise for you also. What you are here is
what you are over there. That's what brother Branham taught us in
his sermon, Healing Jairus and several
others. So if you are a thief here you will be over there, and that means you
won't be there. If you are a fornicator over here you'll be over there, and
that means you won't be there. If you are a homosexual over here you'll be the
same over there and that means you won't be in heaven.
1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not
inherit the
Now, I will admit that a lot of the confusion can be
laid at the feet of the so called five fold ministry. They've taught these lies
concerning marriage and divorce, and they've taught the people to live ungodly
because the people se them living ungodly, until the people don't know what is
right anymore. A true minister must speak only words which God has already
spoken. And Hebrews 10 is very specific.
he says if you have come to the knowledge of the
truth, and then you do it, you will have to give an account. Once you know the
truth you will be held accountable to that truth.
Abraham's grace covenant - 61-0317 But then, then he committed that same
crime again, before that cleansing in the sanctuary, and he was recorded of
committing adultery the second time, under two or three witnesses that proved
that saw him done it, he was stoned without mercy. No matter if he was a
preacher, he was the mayor of the city, who he was, he died without mercy.
Hebrews... Looking at it! Hebrews, 10th chapter. ... died without
mercy under two or three witnesses. Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye,... (Now watch... though)... worthy... (being
a minister, whoever he might be, professing the Holy Ghost)... who has trod
under foot the Son of God, and considered the blood of... Jesus Christ... as a unholy thing. How much more punishment when you put your
hands on the feet of the Lord Jesus, and feel the pains and things that He died
for you, and confess Him as your Savior, it isn't an animal life there; neither
was it a man's life; it was God's life. And that Spirit that was in Him, comes
back upon you, and makes you a son of God. And if you walk
up to face these facts... See? "For if we disbelieve willfully, any
Scriptural thing or whatever it might be, if we disbelieve willfully, say, "I..." What did they say?
"We can't take it. They're too big for us. We can't..."
"If I have to step out my organization... If I accept that, they'll turn
me out. I won't have any place to go. Nobody will back me up." 13.
Who wrote the Bible, your organization? Who's responsible for the Word, your
organization? God's responsible for His Word. God will take care of His own. God will back you up. Any man
that ever amounted to very much in this life, were man who stood alone with God.
That's the way, if you ever stand, you'll have to stand. Now, you walk up and
say... Like here... like you'd be a Methodist, and you
walk up and said, "The baptism of the Holy Spirit on the day of
Pentecost... ", and you see that that's true: how the power of God fell
upon those people, and you say, "I know that's the truth, but if I accept
it, they will turn me out the organization." They will. They sure will.
Now, you've got to make a choice. You know it's the truth. Now see, he that disbelieves willfully, after he's
received the knowledge of the truth, (disbelief, turns away from
that) there remains no more sacrifice for unbelief. You're finished and
washed up forever. That's right. And a Pentecostal that'll walk up to that
same place... Them were prepentecostals. And they had
the promise to take the land, every blessing God had promised. God gave it to
them, but because the opposition was so great, they turned back and lived in
the wilderness for forty years, instead of facing the fact. 14.
That's the same thing that Paul's speaking about here in the Hebrews 10. Do you
understand now? Now, that's Scripture, my brethren. And when a man turns his
back upon truth, and walks away from it willfully, after he sees it's the
truth, then he's a finished product with God.
That's right, for there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin, but a fearful
looking for the judgment and the fiery indignation, which shall devour the
adversary.
You see, Paul also said in 1
Corinthians
QA on Genesis
Token the 64-0308 P:41
If you disbelieve any of that Word, there's something wrong with your
experience. See? You
come right up to the Land and see it's there. You see that Jesus has raised. He's among us. You hear the Word that follows the
message, and still don't believe It, you know what
happens? Then they died right in the wilderness. "If we sin wilfully after
we have received the knowledge of the Truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice
for sin." That's what the Book of Hebrews tells us.
How can I overcome 63-0825M P:27 And then, now you take a Christian that's
supposed to be a Christian, let the Life of God go from him and the experience
the joy of serving Christ, and living in the church where such is going on, he
rottens twice as quick (See? Right.), living right under it. So if
we are trying to follow the Message of the hour, or at least this part of the
Message, we should live constantly in the Life of Christ. See? 'Cause if
it don't, you lay around, and know that these things that you're supposed to
do and don't do it, the Bible said, "He that knoweth to do good and
doeth it not, to him it's sin." And he
becomes doty, rotten when you're separated from the Life of God. So strive
with all that's in you to stay in the Life of Christ, that you'd be
fruit-bearing.
Queen of the south 58-0613 P:46 That
was before--not the water--the fire. And this is the last message before the
fire.
Time tested faith 58-0530 P:18 If the church would put more faith to work, you'd see
more things taken place in the church. The pastor might stand on Sunday morning. He might stand
on Sunday evening or whenever, and preach hard on faith, in a mighty message,
but if the members don't take that message and then start putting it to work,
it'll fall right back, and the birds of the air will pick it up. See, see? Just
take it out and put it to work. God wants you to do it. Now, faith,
always an experience accompanies faith.
Law 55-0115 P:29 Now, if this is presented to you... Now,
look. "For it is impossible (See?) for those who
were once enlightened, made partakers of the Holy Ghost, to fall away again.
For if we sin (disbelieve) willfully..." Let it soak. "If we disbelieve willfully after we have
received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin." If the truth of the Gospel has been
presented to you in such a way that you have to see it, and because of
popularity, or something else, that you turn your back to it and walk away and
don't want to see it, there's where you cross the line. "For he that disbelieves willfully after he
has received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for
sins."
Token the 64-0208 P:28 We read over here in Hebrews the 10th
chapter, 26th verse, "If we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the
truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin, but a fearful, dreadful,
looking for the fiery judgments which will devour the adversary." That is, if we disbelieve willfully
after we have a knowledge of the truth, there is no more sacrifice for sin.
Think of it. No matter what you're thinking in your heart, the Token can
never be applied. If you reject it the last time, then it cannot be
applied, for he that
sins or disbelieves willfully.
What shall we do with Jesus 64-0126 P:65 Listen,
Hebrews 10 says this, "If we sin willfully (disbelieve willfully) after we received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no
more sacrifice for sin."
If you sin willfully after It's has been identified to you, and then you turn
It down, you are absolutely no chance of ever repenting.
God's power to transform 65-0911 P:87 For if we sin wilfully after that we...
received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin,
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and the fiery indignation, which
shall devour the adversary. That's THUS SAITH GOD'S HOLY WORD. If we disbelieve
willfully after we have seen It and heard It, then
we're across the line. There'll never be no
more forgiveness for it; you've crossed the line." Oh," you
say, "God still blesses me." Oh, yeah.
Inter veil 56-0121 P:46
Death means separate. And
if you sin, disbelieve willfully, after Gospel's been presented to you, that
soul nature of yours will gradually move away from you, and you'll feel it
no more, just drawn away. You won't know it.
Let us pray...
