Christ is the Mystery no 193

Review no 16 Chronology of End Time Events

Brian Kocourek, pastor

This evening we will review the mini series where we examined the chronology of end time events. We will not have time tonight to review what was preached on future events, but we will list them and if you wish to understand more in detail then you will need to see the individual sermons preached on these subjects.

We began this mini series with Christ is the Mystery no 106 Chronology of End Time Events no 1 End-Time Conditions

1 Corinthians 13: 12 "For now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as I am known."

This knowing Paul speaks of here means an "experiential knowing", or a knowing by experience. But notice also this knowledge is only in part. That word "part" was tranlated from the greek word "meros" which means "in part, in portion, as a section, or a division". In other words with only an allotted amount of knowledge men could only see things in a dispensational sort of way. Such as Luther saw only Justification, Wesley saw only sanctification, but none until this hour could see the whole picture. So men just guessed at what they saw, sometimes close but other times way out in left field somewhere.) Paul said, "For now we see through a glass darkly, (so what they saw was as though it was seeing in the dark, darkly in other words somewhat obscure.) But (he says) then shall we see face to face: now I know in part; but then (when? When we see Him face to face!) but then shall I know even as I am known."

This evening I would like to review the mini series we took on the chronological events of the End-Time, so that we can have a better understanding of what things are to take place in this end-time. Because without knowing the totality of events that are to take place at the End-Time, you could actually know what has taken place and even know some of the things that are ordained to take place in the future, but without knowing the full picture, you could be missing what God is doing right now.

In his sermon, God's Only Provided Place of Worship 65-1128.1M 40 Brother Branham said, "I believe the church is beginning to hear the Message, and beginning to

understand it. But friends, listen, we've got to lay in the Presence of the Son, we've got to be ripened."

Now before we go further, I want you to stop and notice how brother Branham is associating our laying in the Presence of the Son with the ripening or maturing of our Faith. He even says, "Our faith isn't ripe. That means, our faith hasn't come to the place of maturity yet. And if it is not ripe, then it is not yet ready for harvest which is rapture.

Then he says, "Intellectually we're hearing the Message that God has give us, and seeing the signs that He showed us, and proving it by the Bible as that; but, oh, how the church needs to lay in His Presence till it tenders up in the heart, gets sweet in the Spirit so that it can bathe down. Sometimes in speaking the Message, you get harsh, have to break it in like that, because you've got to clinch a nail to make it hold. But when the Church once gets It, the Elected is called out and separated, (then in the Presence of God), I know it'll be something like the people was there when it takes its Rapture.

Notice he is talking about people he saw beyond the curtain of time. So we see there must come a maturing of our faith, or Revelation until we are ready to take on the change of the body.

Now here is the key to understanding this: He said "we must lay in the Presence of the Son to become ripened in our Faith". And He says, once we do and we begin to understand it then something else is going to happen. He says separation is going to take place, (notice his wording here.) But when the Church once gets It, the Elected is called out and separated, (then in the Presence of God), I know it'll be something like the people was there when it takes its Rapture.

So when the separation comes, those who still remain in the presence of God will ripen in character like those he saw beyond the curtain of time. What we are seeing here is that our separation will come from the fact we have recognized His Presence, and we come into His Presence, and once in His Presence we begin the ripening or maturing process. That is where we've come to in this process of the Parousia of Christ. We are laying in His presence, and notice he says the Presence of the son of God. It is son of God spirit that quickens sons of God to become conformed to the image of the first born son. And in his sermon, Identification brother Branham makes this point very strongly and I want you to notice how he ties it in with our understanding of John 14:12.

Identifications 63-0123, 40 Now, Jesus gave us the Example of what we ought to be looking at, when He reflected His Life to us through the Word, what we should see. When we look into God's mirror, we should see ourself identified with Him. That is a perfect Example. 41 Now, but we find out that, as we go along through life, that our character molds the image that we are. Each one knows that. You, as you live, so is your character, molds you to what you are. Now, you have seen people that you just love to be around, yet they might not exactly be in your bracket of society. And, again, they might be of a different race, the colored, or the brown, or the yellow. But there's just something about that character, that you just love to be in their presence. Because each person is a little dynamo of their own, and you put out an atmosphere. 42 And then you see people that were noble people, but yet you were always glad to get away from them. It's just they create such an atmosphere around where you are. Nothing against them, they're nice people, but you just don't like that atmosphere. And their character creates whatever they are, makes them what they are.

Now, I'm going to skip ahead to pp. 58 "You cannot, no way, ever produce a Character like that; only, accepting that Character in you. A church cannot do that. A creed cannot do that. A denomination cannot do that. An education cannot do that. It must be a Birth. It's got to be a dying out, and let God in, by the grace of Christ, mold this type of character in you, that you become Him, and your life and His is the same, then you are

sons and daughters of God.

Now, I would like to add here that Paul said the same thing. He said in Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I am living; yet it is not I that is living, but Christ who is living in me: and the life which I now am now living in this flesh that I live in, I am living by the faith (Revelation) of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

In other words, Jesus Christ died so that we could live, and now God wants for us to die that Jesus Christ might live again in you and in me. So as brother Branham said, "It must

be a Birth. It's got to be a dying out, and let God in, by the grace of Christ, mold this type of character in you, that you become Him, and your life and His is the same, then you are sons and daughters of God.

Then in pp. 70 he continues, "Now, with our Message, can we stand by the looking glass of God's Word and see Christ reflect in our own lives then? Can we bear such, and the reproach of the Message that we're standing for here? Someone can say something about It, and yet you just don't open your mouth and say nothing about it. He was example, because God was reflecting His character in Him. And then if we're sons and daughters of God, God reflects His character in us, then we become like Him. That's my heart's desire. I think that's every believer's desire, is to become more like Him.

So it appears to me that what we are looking at here in our coming to the place of the very character of Christ being in us will be tested by persecution, and our staying focused on him during the trials and tests that come our way because of the separation that must take place due to the process of Life and ripening in it. As brother Vayle said in reference to Hebrews 6, that we must be able to go beyond the principles of the doctrine and enter into the very life of the doctrine and that will produce in us a perfection, a maturity that will not fuss over who is right and who is wrong, or as brother Branham even said, "Who cares if the brother is wrong, help him anyway."

Then brother Branham continues in pp. 106 "No other nature could do this. No. Cause, He was the molded perfect character of God. 107 For, it was a fallen character that all nature had. All men had a fallen character. Even everything that was under man fell. Everything has got a dying character. 108 And He had a living character, so He expressed it in Christ, and He paid the price. And then because of His obedience, He raised Him up on the third day. See?

And I would like to add that the Apostle Paul said in Romans 8:11 "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Christ is the Mystery no 107 Chronology of End Time Events no. 2 1906 to 1946

Here we took note of the End-Time events beginning with the Asuza Street meetings where the restoration of the gifts took place among those early day Pentecostals.

Brother Branham said from his sermon, Going beyond the camp 64-0719E P:17 More and more I am made to believe that people are not getting to Christ. Now, I am here to try to help in every way that I can and make my statement as clear as I know how to make them. And you suffer with me if you will. As I look and preach across the nation and watch the people, I'm fully persuaded that the people are not getting to Christ. And I believe that it's the enemy that's throwed this hindrance, because, the reason I believe this, He is not the object that they had been pointed to. They have either been pointed to a dogma, or a doctrine, or a party, or experience, or a sensation, or something like that, instead of being pointed to Christ the Word. That's why I think that people are resting their eternal destination upon some dogma or some sensation, like some say, "I danced in the Spirit," or; "I spoke with tongues"; "I felt fire run over me." And do you know, all those things can be impersonated by the devil? There's just one thing that he cannot impersonate; that's the

Word.

Now, in this mini series concerning the End-Time Chronology of Events we took note that there are three conditions that we must understand in order to better comprehend the End-Time Events that have been ordained to unfold in this last hour.

Condition number One, All things are subject to Him and condition number Two All things evolve around Him or are in reaction to His Presence, and then that brings us to Condition number Three). Since all the End Time events are subject to him and evolve around His Presence, then All the events constituting the end can not begin without His Presence as the catalyst for the end.

Revelations 10: 1-7 1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: 2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, 3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. 5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, 6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that time should be no longer delayed: 7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Notice at this End-Time season we are told in Revelations 10:6 that time is no longer delayed and now begins to blend with Eternity. Everything begins to speed up, whereas man traveled for thousands of years by walking or riding a horse or traveling in a ship or boat to get one from destination to the other. The ships dependent on the wind was the fastest form of transportation, but still very slow. But in this hour since the beginning of Laodicea, we've seen the invention of the steam engine, then the diesel engine, then the jet engine, then rocket power, until now governments are working on power for prolusion that uses all kinds of unimaginable power from unimaginable sources.

In the Book of Daniel 12:4 we are told, But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Now, in the original text the word "run" as in "Many shall run to and fro" is not even in the text, but was placed there when the Bible was translated into English. The Word actually says, many shall "go" as in travel "to and fro", meaning "many will travel, and knowledge shall increase". And we have seen not just an increase of Knowledge but an explosion in knowledge and technological inventiveness that has taken man from the horse and buggy into the electronics, computer and space age.

But as is the inventiveness of man has increased so has the Spirit of God among the people come in more and more until the Fullness of God has come down in this hour once again.

This brings us to Christ is the Mystery no 108 Chronology of End Time Events no. 3 1946 to present

In his sermon, Seventy weeks of Daniel 61-0806 P:36 God don't have things out of cater. He's just letting it run like that for a little time. And I truly believe that that thing was done, and at this last days is when God is going to reveal these secrets to the church. He hasn't done it before, and the reason He hasn't done it is to keep the church a-watching and praying all the time, not knowing when it was coming. But you remember in Daniel 12 He said, "The wise shall understand in the last days"? It's been given to him. The Spirit of wisdom comes into the church to make known to the church by the revelation of the Holy Ghost, bringing the church in and revealing what day that we're living in. Just the same as Gabriel come to Daniel, the Holy Spirit comes to the church in the last days to reveal these great, deep, secret things. Do you understand now?

So we see it all begins with His Great Presence coming in a way that he has not been here

for nearly 2,000 years.

Speaking of this Brother Branham said from Seventy Weeks of Daniel's pg. 15, "The Spirit of wisdom comes into the Church to make known to the Church by the Revelation of the Holy Ghost, bringing the Church in and revealing what day that we're living in. Just the same as Gabriel come to Daniel, the Holy Spirit comes to the Church in the last days to reveal these great, deep, secret things. Do you understand now?"

So you see, the Spirit of God will come to the Church and bring with Him Revelation which will anoint the Church to understand the day and the hour and His purpose in being here among us. In 1897, J. B. Rotherham wrote in his Bible translation called The Emphasized Bible, he wrote the following; "In this edition the word Parousia is uniformly rendered "Presence" ("Coming," as a representative of this word being set aside.)" He continued "The Parousia,... is still in the future, and may therefore be enshrouded in a measure of obscurity which only fulfillment can clear away:

In other words, God interprets his own word by bringing it to pass. He goes on, "It may in fine be both a period, more or less extended, during which certain things shall happen, an event, coming on and passing away as one of a series of Divine interposition's, Christ is raised as a first fruit, that is one event; He returns and vouchsafes His "Presence," (in other words he vindicates His presence with the sign of Messiah, that is another event) During which time He raises His own.

This is resurrection he's talking about and he says,  That is another event, However large and prolonged; and finally comes another cluster of events constituting "The End." Hence after all, "Presence" may be the most widely and permanently satisfying translation of the looked for Parousia of the Son of Man."

Notice that Rotherham saw that God always acts in a series of events, and he never just comes down and bam, does whatever he came down for and heads back up. No, when God acts it has always been very deliberate and very detailed. So I want you to notice that there are a series of Divine interpositions, or events which constitute the Parousia Presence of Christ or as Brother Branham called it "the Appearing" which he said mut come before the actual Second Coming of Christ.

Brother Branham said it in various places, for example in the Message End-Time Evangelism" he said "Now, we have already seen and are witnessing the appearing of the Lord. Now remember, appearing and coming are two" different words, to appear and then" to come. Now is the appearing, He's already appeared in these last few days. Right here with us in the last few years. Now, it's a sign" of His Coming."

And from We would see Jesus 62-0627 P:76 he said, Now, we're at the west coast, and the S-o-n is appearing before His coming. Remember, appearing and coming is two different words. See? He's appearing now in the church, showing Himself alive after two thousand years. "Sirs, we would see Jesus."

Now, we can say that one sign of that Appearing, or the literal Presence of God here was in the form of "the Sign of Messiah", which only God who is the Word can discern the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. So to do so he has to be here to perform it.

Now, the word "Appearing" as seen in the bible comes from the Greek word "Apokalupsis", which was translated as "appearing" in 1 Peter 1:7 but is also translated as coming as we see in the following Scriptures.

Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

1 Corinthians 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

1 Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Notice the word presence was translated from parousia and absense from a-pousia.

But first let's turn to 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. 10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. 13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

In Christ is the Mystery no 109 Chronology of End Time Events no. 4 Bride events

in this sermon we continued with end time events that transpired between 1946 until through the 60's when God's prophet left the scene.

Now let's read from 1 Thesalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming (parousia) of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, (a kalusma, which is a military command, the shout is the Message)

with the voice of the archangel, (that's the resurrection) and with the trump of God:(that's

the call to the wedding feast, the catching away) and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

From his sermon the Rapture the 65-1204 P:75 brother Branham explained it this way, Three things happen, a shout, a voice, a trumpet, has to happen before Jesus appears. Now, a shout. Jesus does all three of them when He's descending. A "shout," what is a "shout"? It's the Message going forth first, the living Bread of Life bringing forth the Bride. Now, God has a way of doing things, and He never changes His policy. He never changes His... He's the unchanging God. In Amos 3:7 He said He would do nothing on the earth until first He revealed it to His servants the prophets. And just as certain as He promised it, He'll do it.

In 1963 We see the Judge with his white wig on having His picture taken in the Heavens, signifying the Judge is standing at the door, He’s knocking at the door because He has been rejected and He stands outside the churches. The Phaneroo of Christ begins... The unveiling of the mighty God to His Bride.

James 5:7 tells us, "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold,

the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. 10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction,

and of patience. 11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy".

In 1963 a whole lot happened, the Judge shows it is He, the Supreme Deity that dwelt in Christ that has returned to reveal all mysteries contained in the seals, and according to Revelation 10:7 and we see that "time shall no longer be delayed".

The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Him (God) has come down.

Ephesians 1:15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far aboveall principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

In 1965 we see that the Spiritual Union of the bride and Christ has taken place and the exposing of what makes a man a false anointed one at the end-time. We are taught that the anointing may be genuine but their doctrine is wrong.

we next see there are 11 reasons why  He is has appeared to us in this hour.
