The Second Fold Purpose
of God

This evening I would like
to read from Christ is the Mystery of God Revealed and then take these thoughts
that brother Branham God's vindicated prophet for this
hour back to the Scripture so you can get a better understanding from Scripture
where what he is trying to tell us here in this sermon of His.
Now, he said in 160 (335 in the books) That's
the only way you'll know Him today, only way you'll get the threefold
revelation of God is for the Holy Ghost... And the only way it can ever be,
is you're predestinated to see it. If it don't,
you'll never see it. If you're not predestinated to see it, you'll never
see it, 'cause that Light can flash and you'll go away and make fun of
it and explain it away by some intellectual conception when the very God
Himself manifesting Himself and proving it. See? But if it ain't
upon you to see it, you won't see it.
Notice that brother Branham is telling us that either you are ordained
to see the Three- fold Purpose of God or you are not. It is just that plain.
And we know that the first fold purpose was that God wished to manifest Himself
in and through His Son, the eldest son in a vast family of brothers. That's
purpose number 1. And remember we are talking about family here.
Now, many who claim to believe the Message have never even came to this because they do not believe God had a son, they
believe God is His Son. They get hung up on the body, and do not know what to
do with it. But the Body was not deity, but deity dwelt in the body. And God
and Jesus were not one like your finger is one. They do not see Father and son,
That is the first fold purpose of God. They do not see it.
I am sure if Brother Branham were here today, he would be very
disappointed in the people who claim to follow His ministry. Because most people
who claim to believe the Message are frankly not being taught even the simplest
knowledge concerning salvation and redemption. Therefore the people know absolutely
nothing concerning the substitution at the cross wherein Christ Jesus actually
took our place, shed his own blood on our behalf so that
ours would not be required.
And not understanding the great sacrifice that Jesus paid for their
sins, how could they ever truly love Him the right way. And that is why they go
through life thinking as long as they do the following they are considered the
bride of Christ.
1) They believe that there is One God.
2) They believe there are certain conduct, order and doctrine that are
essential for us to conduct our lives in.
3) They believe women should not cut their hair.
4) They believe women should dress modestly
5) They believe the woman should be submissive and the man the ruler of
the house.
6) They believe God sent a prophet, and only those who believe that
prophet will be saved.
Now is that what most people in the Message believe?
You know what I just described to you? I described to you a devout
Muslim.
So the average Message believer in this Message is no different than
the Muslim, except for the name they call their god.
Therefore, if you do not understand why Jesus died, and how his death,
burial and resurrection directly affects you, then you
are in no better shape than the Muslim.
Therefore unless God has revealed Himself personally to you, you have
not even come to a true understanding of justification.
Martin Luther said, "Faith
is not that human notion and dream that some hold for faith. The reason people
can not accept Faith alone is because they see faith as something which it is
not. Because they see that no betterment of life and no good works
follow it, and they can hear and say much about faith, they fall into error,
and say, "Faith isn't enough; one must do works in order to be
righteous and be saved,"
"This is the
reason that when they hear the Gospel, they fall into the same old trap and
make for themselves, by their own powers, an idea in their hearts, which says,
"I believe". This they hold for true faith. But it is
only a human imagination and idea that never reaches the depths of the heart,
and so nothing comes of it and no betterment follows it".
He went on to say, "Faith, however is a divine
work in us. God places it there. It is not our belief, It
is His Revelation that He has in Himself and by Grace He gives it to us."
Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (It is His Gift that He gives to you. it is God
working in you to will and to do. Therefore if it is God working in you, it is
not you doing works, but rather you yielding yourself and becoming obedient to
your heavenly Father. That is why it is) 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we
are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God
hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Martin Luther said, "Faith, however is a divine
work in us. It changes us and makes us to be born anew of God
Have we died out. Have we really come to a place where we can just let go
and let God? If we have not then how can
we walk by Faith which is a revelation? And if we do not walk by Faith hen we
are not yet justified, because the just shall live
by faith, those justified live by revelation.
Now that leads us to
this: If you have not truly been justified by Faith, then how can you truly
live a sanctified life? Therefore if your Justification is a human notion which
is just a figment of your own imagination wherein you say I believe therefore I
have faith, then what sanctification you have also is just a human effort at
trying to appease an angry God.
That would be like
saying to a man that you just killed his son by running over him with your car,
"O my sir, I am truly sorry, and to make it up to you I will mow your lawn
for three whole weeks." Of as the Catholic priest says, you have sinned,
go and say three hail Marry's
and two our fathers, and your sins will be forgiven."
But the bible tells us in Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a
leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
So if what we do is
like a filthy rag, then what can we do? Just one thing.
Die to yourself and let Him live your life for you.
Martin Luther said, "Oh, it is a living, busy, active, mighty thing, this faith;
and so it is impossible for it not to do good works incessantly. It does not ask
whether there are good works to do, but before the question rises; it has
already done them, and is always at the doing of them. He who does not these
works is a faithless man. He gropes and looks about after faith and good works,
and knows neither what faith is nor what good works are, though he talks and
talks, with many words, about faith and good works."
And if you have not come to a true understanding of Justification, then
what sanctification you have is humanly done, and therefore not even acceptable
to God. In other words, it is no
sanctification at all in God's eyes. Therefore if they have not truly been
justified, and know why they have been jusitified,
then they have neither been sanctified, and if no justification or
sanctification, then no true baptism of the Holy Spirit either.
And if no true baptism of the Holy Spirit then how can they see the
second fold purpose of God wherein God want to manifest Himself in his Seed.
Remember
brother Branham taught us in this sermon, Christ is the Mystery of God
revealed, in paragraph 77 Now, if He had this threefold
purpose... We want to find out what is this threefold purpose. The first
thing was that God wanted to reveal Himself to the people. He couldn't do
it as a great Jehovah God Who covered all space, time,
and eternity. He could not. He's too great to ever be revealed to people,
because it would be too mysterious. How could that great Being that never did
begin, that after you went beyond the cycle of a hundreds of billions and
trillions and trillions of years of light space, and on out into the infinite,
into the eternity, and a great Creature that was all that, and still is...
78 But what He wanted to do, He loved Fatherhood, for He was
a Father. And the only way that He could express it was to become a Son of man.
That's the reason Jesus kept saying, "The Son of man."
See, they didn't know what He was talking about, many of them. But now you get
it? He wanted to express Himself. That was His, one of His great
threefold purposes, was to express Himself, identify
Himself with human beings, to reveal Himself in Christ.
And as I have already
stated that if that is the first fold purpose of God and you do not believe he
had a son, then you could never understand how that God could reveal or
manifest Himself through his son if in fact you do not believe he had a son. And
so that takes out a great part of those who claim to follow William Branham
because they do not believe what he taught concerning the Son of God and the
relationship between the father and His Son.
Next we find brother
Branham tells us what the second fold purpose of God was in paragraph 79 Secondly: to have the preeminence in His body of believers, that is,
His Bride, that He might live in
people. Now, He could do that in Adam and Eve, but sin separated them,
so now there had to be some way to get it back again. Oh, my. Oh, when I...
This is rich to me, just to even think of it. See? See
what God's purpose was?
Notice this second fold purpose of God he said is to have the
preeminence in His Body of Believers. Now, remember the word preeminence means He
has the preeminent position in you and he defines that by saying, that He might live in people. And he said he couldn't do it in Adam and Eve,
because turning down one word brought on Satan's kingdom.
And how could he have the preeminence in you unless you are willing to
die out to self so that He can live your life for you. That is the only way and
many baulk at this teaching thinking we are trying to become some great thing. Now,
how in the world is dying to self, self promotion? How is being an obedient son
trying to be something you are not.
You see, these people judge you by what is in their heart, not what is
in yours. They see the sin in their own life and want to dish it off to you, as
though you are no different than they are, but that is a lie. You are
different, because God made you different. Men judge others based on their own
sinful nature, not based on the sinless nature of the son of God.
1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth
the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even
so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit
of God. 12 Now we have received, not
the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the
things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things
also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth,
but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing
spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But
the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit
of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, (that means he discerns all things) yet he himself
is judged (discerned) of no man. 16 For who
hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind
of Christ.
Therefore the second fold purpose is for God to Reveal or manifest
Himself to and through His sons can not be received unless you were made thus
to receive it.
That is exactly what John 1:12 tells us. But as many as
received him, (to as many as
were of such a nature as to be able to hear, recognize and act upon the Word of
God) to them gave he power (exusia the ability to make a right decision) to become (ginomai, the
root word of course here is gene as in genes or hereditary attributes, in other
words to be fulfilled to what you were ordained to be) the sons of God, even to them
that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. So
this shows that only born ones, those who actually have atrue
baptism of the Holy Spirit are sons and thus can become fulfilled as sons.
That is why I told you
last week that many who follow the Message have been shakened
off by the first fold purpose because they do not believe in a Son of God, they believe that God is His own Son. So they do not
believe in another being the son of God. And therefore they could never see the
first fold purpose of God. Now, the second fold purpose being that God wants to
live in His Bride, His elect, this is another corner God has taken us through
and many who believed in One God and he had a Son, have missed this second fold
purpose of God, and they have placed everything in the prophet and by doing so
they have missed the second fold purpose of God in His Elect seed.
And Paul said, without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder
of them that diligently seek him.
So we must be expecting God to produce
reward from what He reveals. And Enoch pleased God which tells us that Enoch
had Faith or revelation in God and what God was doing in that Hour.
Faith cometh by hearing
the Word of God. So it all comes
back to the Word. It all comes back to a passive Faith or a passive revelation.
What God has done or is doing. So God sends a preacher and this man if God
sends him must have words from God that builds up the faith of the hearer. For
if God does not send anyone, then they that hear, hear error, and then they
which believe error and then they that call out call out to God in error. And that
is what Paul taught us in Romans 10.
Romans
10:13-17 For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not
heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How
beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad
tidings of good things! 16 But they have
not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias
saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God.
Martin Luther in his comments on these verses said, "Even though they say they hear, they boast in vain, unless they hear true preachers; for to hear false prophets means as much as not to hear. They hear and they do not hear. They have ears, but do not hear, nor do they preach The True Word of God. There are four statements which follow one another is such as way that one leads to the other, but so that the last forms the foundation on which the others rest. Thus, 1. It is impossible that those preach who are not sent. 2. It is impossible that those hear who are without a preacher. 3. It is impossible that they believe who do not hear. 4. It is impossible that they call upon Him who do not believe. To these must be added a fifth, it is impossible that they who do not call upon the name of the lord shall be saved. So, then, the entire source and origin of salvation rests on this, that God sends out someone, (a true minister of the Word). If He does not send out any, then they who preach preach falsely, and their preaching is no preaching at all. In fact, it would be better for them not to preach. Then also, they who hear, hear error, and it would be better for them not to hear. Then also they who believe, would believe false doctrine, and it would be better for them not to call. For such preachers, do not preach; such hearers do not hear; such believers do not believe; such callers do not call; they will be damned because they would be saved by falsehood. As we read in Proverbs 1:28 "Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: for that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord". Then only they can preach with certainty who preach without error."
Now, we know what Paul
said in Romans 10, and we know what he
said in 2 Corinthians 11, and again in
the book of Galatians, that if they
receive a wrong word, then they will receive a wrong spirit. How then can we
think that anyone who sits under a wrong ministry and has a wrong conception of
the message has a right spirit, which is the Holy Spirit? A wrong conception
is a wrong quickening to life. Conception means to quicken to life.
We know Peter said, in
1 Peter 1:23 that "we are born again, not by a corruptible seed, but by an
incorruptible seed, by the Word of God which Lives and Abides forever."
Jesus told us that the Sower sowed a seed which is the
Word of God. And that seed will produce a life according to the
law of reproduction, which states, "Every
seed must bring forth after it's own nature."
Then to receive a wrong word will and
must produce a wrong spirit or a wrong life. How can it be any other way. Did you know that brother Branham said we must have a
right teaching in order to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit? To receive the Seal of God? And if you don't receive the
seal of God there is only one seal left and that is the seal of Satan, which is
the mark of the beast.
WHY.AGAINST.ORGANIZED.RELIGION
62-1111E If
it denies the Word in any way, you got the wrong spirit. You say, "I
can't go for this stuff like this, I know, but our church..." Oh, oh, there's
a wrong spirit. There's your mark of identification. Cain, you're marked.
Yes, sir.
Laodicean Church Age - Church Age Book 348-1 Now God says they are naked as well as
blind. I cannot imagine anything as tragic as a man who is blind and naked and
does not know it. There is only one answer, he is out
of his mind. He is already deep in oblivion. His faculties are gone,
spiritual amnesia has set in. What else can it mean? Can it mean that the Holy
Spirit has taken His leave of this last day church? Can it mean that men have
put God out of their minds to such an extent that it is happening even as
stated in Romans 1:28. "And even as they did not like to retain God
in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things
which are not convenient." It surely appears that something like that has happened. Here
is a people who say that they are of God and know God
and have His Holy Spirit, and yet they are naked and blind and don't know
it. They are ALREADY DECEIVED. THEY HAVE THE WRONG SPIRIT. THE ELECT CANNOT BE
DECEIVED, BUT IT IS EVIDENT THAT THESE OTHERS ARE. These are they who have
become blind because they refused the Word of God. These are they who
have stripped themselves naked by leaving God's care and protection and sought
to build their own way of salvation, their own tower of Babel by organization.
Oh, how lovely and beautiful dressed they appear in their own eyes as they
formed their general assembles, and their councils, etc. But now God is
stripping it all away and they are naked, for these organizations have but led
them into the camp of antichrist, into the field of tares, right up to their
binding and burning. Objects of pity indeed they are. Yes, pity them, warn
them, beseech them, and still they go their way headlong to destruction,
wrathfully turning away any and all attempts to save them as brands from the
burning. Miserable indeed they are, yet they know it not. Calloused and beyond
hope, they glory in what is actually their shame. Defiant against the Word, yet
one day they shall be judged by it and pay the price of its awful indictments.
