Desperation no 50
One Faith, One Lord, One Christ and One Body
August 21, 2016
Brian Kocourek, Pastor
This
evening I would like to move forward in our examination of brother Branham's
sermon, Desperation, and we will begin reading from
paragraph 116.
116 God bless you all. We're so happy you were here. Have you got, are
you persistent now? Do you, are you in
desperation? Your desperation that you had for your healing, has it all
ceased now in the love, and faith, and confidence
that God will do what He promised to do
tonight. God will do... From them
little children, there's two or three of them here tonight in wheelchairs, I, we'll believe for them (Yes, sir.), that they're going to be healed too.
They're going to be well. Don't you believe it? Amen! They will recover; it's got to do it. God said so, and we're
desperate and going to believe it now, that it'll be done.
Now, this evening I would like to
focus on these three little words; love, faith, and confidence and we will show you by our study of Scripture
tonight and by our examination of things God's prophet has said that these
three words actually work together in such a way that there is only One Faith,
and there is only One Confidence which as we showed you last weekend because
that Confidence is not a verb but it is a person, Christ. And thus there can
only be one Love as well for God, Christ is Love.
From his sermon, QA
Hebrews part 2 COD 57-1002 P:90 brother Branham said, "So...it's all
one great perfect God; it's all one great perfect Christ, one great
perfect Church, one great perfect redemption, everything. It comes a trinity,
but it's all in one. See? It's not three people, not three this; it's just one
Person, one Church, one Body, one Christ, one Lord in you all, through you all, and so forth
like that: all one.
So this evening we will take a short message showing
these three things, Faith, Confidence and Love, that these three are one, and
they are God. And God is One.
In his sermon, Perfect
faith 63-0825E P:50 brother Branham uses an illustration how that
Love, Faith and confidence work together between a man and a woman. And we
should look at this example of how Love, Faith and confidence works together
between Christ and His bride.
50
" You take a young man and a young woman, and they fall in love
with one another. And as they go along and begin to know one another more,
their hearts just begin to beat as one. See? They're, Yet they're not husband and wife, but their
love binds them
together, and they have confidence in one another.
Now, if they really love one another, really love, and you know that
this girl loves you and she knows that you love her, you've got confidence, faith in one another
(See?), you got faith
in one another; if you didn't, you'd better not marry her. See?
Notice, you got to have faith. And you separate them and put one in
extreme south and one extreme north, there's still that love beats for one
another, no matter where they're at. They're just as true to one another
as they can be, because they love one another. And if you love
the Lord, just not trying to dodge hell, but you love the Lord, then you have faith in God
(See?), if you love Him.
Now, this ought to help us to understand that Love
is the driving force behind Faith and Confidence. Love is actually the source of our faith and
confidence.
And as we found in our study last week, the same
word that was translated for faith and for confidence was also translated as
the person of God Himself.
We spoke
on Hebrews 11,
where the Apostle Paul tells us that Faith is both The Substance and The
Evidence. "For faith
is The Substance of things hoped for, and The Evidence of things not seen."
And we
showed you that Faith is not the substance of something, but rather it is the
very person of God Himself. Faith is the revelation of God
Himself who has revealed to you His plan for you, and the
evidence is your stepping forward into that plan,
that which God has revealed to you by His Personal Presence.
Notice
that Paul said Faith is not a substance but "Faith is The Substance." And that word the as I mentioned is the article the which changes it from
a thing to a person, to God Himself.
In Bullinger's Book called word Studies on the holy Spirit, he
points out that in Scripture when it speaks of The Spirit it always speaks of the person of God
Himself, but when it speaks of spirit
only, it speaks of the essence or the life.
Therefore,
the article The is very important in understanding
who it is speaking of. So we see that Paul is not speaking of faith as a substance but he is speaking that Faith
is "THE SUBSTANCE".
And this
word substance that we read in the
King James Version was
translated from the Greek word "hupostasis" which was also translated in Hebrews 1:3 as the very person of God. 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and
the express image of his person, (person, hupostasis, the very substance which is God) and upholding all things by the word of his
power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the
right hand of the Majesty on high;
Again we
see this word hupostasis translated as the word confidence. Not confidence as an adverb but
confidence as a person. Hebrews
3:14 For we are made partakers
of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto
the end;
Not hold
our own confidence in ourselves, or in things but our confidence in Him and
what he has promised. That is the confidence this is speaking of. Confidence in
a person, Christ.
Now as I
said before, Faith
then is having a confidence
in the person, not a thing.
And as we
read this paragraph in brother Branham's sermon, Desperation, we must understand how that this Faith
we have in the person of Christ, and this confidence we have in the person of Christ, is all made
manifest by the Love which we have in Christ.
"Do
you, are you in desperation? Your
desperation that you had for your healing, has it all ceased now in the love,
and faith, and confidence that God
will do what He promised to do tonight. God will do"...
There as
he is laying out for us these words, that it is our Faith and Confidence in His
Love for us that will make His Word become a reality to us.
1 Thessalonians 1:3 Remembering
without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of
love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and
our Father; 4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your
election of God. Now, remember the
word "of" is an acronym which
means belonging to or more specifically, out from.
Therefore we should read this verse as
Remembering without ceasing your work out from your faith, and labor out from
your love, and patience out from your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the
sight of God and our Father. And to be more exact, we should read it as thus,
Remembering without ceasing your work produced and characterized by the faith
which is yours, and your labor which is shaped and characterized by the Love
you embrace, and evidently manifested through the patience you possess due to
the hope you have in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the presence of God our Father.
Reading
this again from the Wuest
Translation we can see
how the Apostle Paul is showing that all our motivations and therefore actions
all have their source in Love.
1 Thessalonians 1: 4 Wuest
Translation: "Remembering unceasingly your works that are produced and characterized by the Faith
which is yours, and your toil which is
motivated and characterized by your divine and self sacrificial Love, and
your patient endurance under trials which finds its source in your hope which rests in our Lord Jesus
Christ in the presence of God, even the father."
Therefore it all finds
its source in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the presence of God the Father.
So you see how that Love shapes and molds
the very nature of the expression that comes forth from your being as an
evident token that you have been made alive, and your love expresses itself in
self sacrificial acts of charity towards others, with no regard to self, and
this then brings upon you a peace which is characterized by the patience you
show forth which is an evident token of your earnest expectation in our Lord
Jesus Christ.
Then a few years later
we see the Apostle Paul once again writing to this church at Thessalonica in
his second epistle to them.
II Thessalonians 1:2 Grace
unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 We are bound to thank God always for you,
brethren, as it is meet, because that your
faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward
each other abounds;
Notice Paul said, your Faith is Growing and it is
showing in the way you treat each other, because your love is abounding.
II Thessalonians 1:3 We are bound to thank
God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you
all toward each other aboundeth; 4 So that we
ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in
all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: 5 ¶ [Which is] a
manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy
of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 6 Seeing [it is] a righteous
thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7 And to you
who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from
heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that
know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who
shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord,
and from the glory of his power; 10 When he shall come to be glorified in his
saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among
you was believed ) in that day. 11 ¶ Wherefore also we pray always for you,
that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil
all the good pleasure of [his] goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12
That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him,
according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
And our Faith works by Love.
In other words, Love is the motivating force
that brings our faith into expression. It is love that takes
a-hold of your faith and moves it from a dormant passive Faith into a vibrant
active faith. Because Faith is not about self, and neither is Eternal Life
living for self, but eternal Life is living for others. It's not the works that
avails anything, but the works which have
been produced and characterized by Love.
Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails to anything,
nor un-circumcision; but faith which works by love. Because Faith is
a revelation, and Hope is an earnest expectation and Love is the outward
expression of that Revelation. Paul said there remains,
Faith, Hope and Love, and the greatest of these is Love.
Now,
another thing about this Faith, and confidence and Love that we are talking about tonight is, is that there is but “One Faith” because there is but “One Lord”. And that Faith is “The Faith of that One Lord”.
From his sermon, Anointed
ones at end time 65-0725M P:186 brother Branham said, "the
Faith". One faith, one Lord, one.. You can't have one faith without
believing in one Lord....
Now, there are people who are teaching that there are more than one
Lord. In fact some of them are teaching that there are more than one Christ.
Because they take the scripture which says, that "God hath made this same
Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ." And we find that in ...
Acts
2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel
know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Now, their theory says that if God who is The Lord, made Jesus the man,
the one that was Crucified both Lord and Christ. That there must be Two
lords. And then later on some expanded
this to include now two Christ's. And they have gone off into apostasy in
teaching this.
The Bible is very straight forward in teaching there is only One Lord,
and One Christ. Not two of them.
And they say but God made Jesus both
Lord and Christ, that's two and what they are doing is getting confused by the vessel.
But as brother Vayle always taught us to get our eyes off the vessel and on the
God who is using the vessel.
So when was Jesus made Lord? well, we know when he was made Christ. It
was at the River Jordan when God entered into Him. That is when he become the
Christ. The Anointed One, because the Anointer Himself entered into the vessel.
Our Doctrine must stay with the Scriptures or it is
wrong. That is where these people have made their mistake because they have
deviated from Scripture. They are not teaching as the Scripture teaches.
And Paul warned everyone that if teach anything he did not teach they
would be cursed.
Paul also
warned us in the Book of Galatians that if we teach contrary to what he taught
we are going to be cursed. Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon
removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that
trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But
though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other
gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other
gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Jesus taught us there is only One Lord
in: Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him,
The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O
Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Now, if you teach there are more than one Lord, you have broken the very
first commandment God gave His people.
He never said the Lord our God is one God, he said the Lord our God is
One Lord. So if you have more than One Lord, you have broken the very first
commandment of God. And once they have deviated from that they begin to deviate
further and further from the truth until some are now teaching there are two
Christ's which makes two Gods, because brother Branham was very emphatic that
Christ is God.
Patmos vision 60-1204E P:41 Now, first thing on the Book of Revelations, it
starts out that it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, Who He is.
Now, Jesus Christ is God Almighty. We know that. How many believes it?
Say "Amen." [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] He's God
Almighty, and He has one Name. That Name is the only Name given under heaven whereby
you must be saved: Jesus Christ.
Guide a 62-1014E P:45 You
better stay behind the Word. The Word will lead you across, because the Word
is Christ, and Christ is God, and God is the Holy Ghost.
Now, we also see that Zechariah taught us there in only One Lord in Zechariah 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the
earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
And Moses taught us there is only One Lord in:
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear,
O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
In the following
Scripture Like the Apostle Paul after Him, Moses warns the people that if they
say anything contrary to what He taught, they will be cursed.
Deuteronomy 28:58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are
written in this book, that
thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the
plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of
long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt,
which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every
plague, which is not written in the book of this
law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. 62 And ye shall be left few in
number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.
63 And it shall come to pass, that
as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD
will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought;
and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest
to possess it.
We know also that brother Branham taught us there
is only One Lord, and even when he mentions concerning the name of the "Lord Jesus Christ" he tells us that the word Lord speaks of the Father who is God, and Jesus is the name God gave to His son, which was the
body, the man, the tabernacle that God came to dwell in, for Paul said, Jesus
is the man, "There is one mediator
between God and man, the Man Jesus." And the word Christ speaks of
the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit which is the God Life. And therefore the phrase Lord Jesus Christ exemplifies the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
So the question is when was Jesus was
made both Lord and Christ? And we know from the prophets teaching that it was
at the river Jordan when God, who is the
only Lord, entered into His son.
In the Message, ELISHA THE PROPHET
56-1002.2E 21, brother Branham said, "And Jesus, the baptism He had was the
baptism of the Holy Spirit, which was in Him, that come on Him at the
river Jordan after He was baptized in water. John bare record; he seen the
Spirit of God like a dove coming upon Him. And notice. Then when he went up, he
sent back the same robe that he was wrapped in: the Holy Ghost upon the Church.
Therefore to say there are two Lords is to go contrary to what Paul
taught, and Moses Taught, and Jesus taught, and to do so is to receive the
curse.
Because we already read to you the curse Moses said
would come on those who did not stay with what he taught, and if you teach
other than what Paul taught you are cursed. Galatians 1:6-9. Read it.
Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that
called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble
you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any
other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him
be accursed. 9 As we
said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel
unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Therefore, I do not care what anyone else teaches,
we stick with Paul and William Branham, and of course Br. Vayle also
taught that "two lords is a
fallacy", and that means it is false.
brother Branham said in his sermon, Revelation chapter one 60-1204M P:71 There's one Lord
Jesus Christ; He's God.
and for those who do not understand what is meant when he said it is a
fallacy, let's see what else he called a fallacy. In his sermon The Omega Crucifixion P:4
Br. Vayle said, 'All right we go to Matthew
27, and we read in there
from verses 22-25, where it says:(22) (And) Pilate (said) unto them, What shall I
do then with Jesus which is called Christ? (Jehovah Savior, who we say
Messiah.) They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.(23) And the governor
said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him
be crucified. Now you notice in here there is no
attempt to give the truth. Everything here in the crowd is based upon a
fallacy and a stirring up of the people by not only misinformation,
abject lies, envy, and the desire to destroy. So just keep that in mind. This is Alpha
crucifixion."
Notice he shows us that
they crucified Christ based upon a fallacy, in the alpha and they are doing it
again in the Omega.
Again for those who must hear it from br. Vayle, he said in his sermon, Who Is This
Melchisedec #11 God, Son, Family; A
Race of God P:1 And
because of the difficulty and the human probing with the human mind we have Trinitarianism
which is entirely a
fallacious doctrine. It’s the doctrine and theology of devils,
of the serpent. It’s origin is in the Roman Catholic church which became
organized in about the fifth century, somewhere in that area, but previous to
that there was no Trinitarian thought known whatsoever and there was a proper
baptism.
Ok, now we hear brother Vayle tell us that the Trinity is a fallacious
doctrine. That means it is a fallacy, it is false. We all know that trinity is
a fallacy and have no problem with that. But now listen to what brother Vayle
says about Two Lords. He also calls it a Fallacy.
From his sermon, Godhead #7 P:58 "You know, people don't understand about
two lords. Well I'm going to tell you about two lords. Two Lords is actually a fallacy.
It shouldn't be in
the Bible; but it's there, so we use it. You see, the English
people took the translation according to the English with the lords and the
ladies and the high mucky-mucks and the brass and the so on. The actual
translation of Ps
110:1 is "Elohim" (or Jehovah) "said to my lord," (or the one in authority over me)
"sit on my right
hand." And it should be translated as
Jehovah. It should not be called lord. It could be called God. "God said to the beloved servant," "God said to our Jesus, the elder brother." That's why It says in Ephesians,
"one lord." But people, they can't think for themselves. They just don't know,
when the word... "Oh, Vayle's preaching two Gods." You know, Paul
said, "Stupidity
only requires one answer-stay stupid." That's Lee
Vayle. Paul said "ignorant."
Then in another sermon we hear him say we should never base any belief
upon a fallacy.
From his sermon, The Life of the Blood of the
Cross P:20 Listen,
today, we are not
basing anything upon fallacy, hope so, guess so!
The following are other sermons where brother Vayle used this same word
fallacy so we can see the context in which he used the word Fallacy.
And from his sermon Leadership #26 Symptoms
Of Modern Apostasy P:13 Now you could argue with somebody, hammer and tongs, and repeat
what they say, and try
to show the fallacy, that's not going to hurt you, that just
makes you sharp. But to remain with the creeds and the dogmas, attempting even
to use this Message as a new patch on an old garment, what happens when the
old garment finally explodes?
Now, Br. Vayle was not vindicated, but I used those quotes just to show
he regarded two Lords as a fallacy in the same light he called Trinitarians a
fallacy, and spoke how people just to keep their doctrine they will resort to
fallacy, and that is wrong.
On the other Hand William Branham was a vindicated prophet and so we
should see what he had to say about one Lord.
Jesus
Christ the same 55-0806 P:15 Now, sometimes today it's been said amongst many believers, they
say about certain things, "Oh, that's against my faith. Our faith don't
teach that." There's only really one faith; the Bible said so. One Lord, one faith, one
baptism, one God, and there's one faith and that
is the faith of the Lord
Jesus Christ.
From his sermon Marriage and divorce 65-0221M
P:81 You've got
to bring it back to the truth of it, in the beginning. And at the end there will be one
Lord Jesus
and His Bride many:
And from his sermon, Voice of the sign
64-0313 P:55 The
Bible said there's one
faith, one Lord, one
baptism. And that baptism is spiritual baptism,
the body being washed.
Revelation
chapter one 60-1204M P:71 Now, like a lot of you dear Oneness people baptize in the name of
"Jesus." You're wrong. There's hundreds of Jesuses
in the world today, but there's only one Lord Jesus Christ. He was born a
Christ. Lots of Jesuses, I've met many of them. But there's one Lord Jesus Christ; He's God.
But from
the beginning it was not so 58-1002 P:34 In the churches today making their
creeds thus. They're robbing God. They're taking their
doctrines and making the commandments of God of non effect. It doesn't have
the effect upon the people. Why? Because our manmade theology, our doctrines, and our creeds have
shut the blessings off from the people, and they don't have the opportunity to
receive it. They no nothing about it. They just know that they belong to
church. And that's why we have not fellowship, the churches one with another.
That's why that they have a revival, and the other churches won't cooperate
with them, a certain denomination, because they say, "It's not my
faith." There's
only one faith; the Bible said so. Not faith in a creed, not faith in a
denomination, but faith
in God, that's
the only faith that there is. "One
faith, one Lord", and one baptism, the
Scriptures says so.
Earnestly
contending for the faith 53-0614A P:12 Now, he's addressing to the Church, telling them, just to
those that are sanctified in God, preserved in Christ and called. Now, he said,
"Now, you're the
people that I'm talking to, that you will earnestly
contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints." Now, not 'a' faith that was
delivered but 'the'
faith that was delivered... Did you notice there?" The faith that was once delivered to the saints," not just a faith... Some people
says, "Well, that's against my faith." There's only one faith: one faith, one Lord, one God,
one baptism, one faith, one doctrine. And now, people say, "Well, I
have 'a' faith and I go to my own church." Well, that's not what Jude's
speaking to here. He's talking to the people that's to contend for 'the' faith that was once
delivered to the saints.
Now, here is the stinger and the indictment against them that are still
teaching Two Lords,
God's prophet said in the Anointed Ones at the End time.
Notice that he said if you have more than one Lord you have more than One
Faith, and that is wrong. So those who
believe in two Lords have two faiths. and it is Wrong, Wrong, wrong...
From Standing in the gap 63-0623M P:58 And then when we come down to the end,
the last Message is supposed to straighten that all up, to bring these things
to one faith, one Lord, one baptism. See?
Then how can anyone say "Two Lords"
is Bible teaching when the Bible teaches there's Only ONE LORD.
Paul said
in: Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Paul said in
: 1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father,
of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all
things, and we by him.
And William Branham said in his sermon, Who
is this Melchisedec 65-0221E P:45 Notice, after... Now, we find out that He
was then in the theophany form. He called Him, "Lord God, Elohim." Now, in Genesis 18 we find that that is true. Now, notice,
Abraham... There was three of Them together, but when Abraham met the Three, he
said, "My Lord." But when Lot down in Sodom, two
of them went down there; and Lot saw two of them coming, and he said, "My Lords." See, what was the matter? The first place Lot was not a
prophet (That's
right.), or neither was he the messenger of the hour. So he didn't have any revelation
of Him. It's exactly right. Lot could call them
"Lords," a dozen of them, he could still
said, "Lords," but no matter how many Abraham saw, it was still one
Lord.
Now, the question is this. Who are you
the seed of, Abraham who saw only One Lord, or Lot who saw two of them? How
many did Lot see? Two, So when he said my Lords, he
was saying that because he saw in his mind "Two Lords"
and of Course Lot did not see what the Prophet Abraham saw, because he was not
anointed to it.
Now, it is very clear that brother
Branham tells us no matter how many manifestations you see, keep your eyes off
the vessel and focus on the One God and One Lord Who is using the vessel.
And for them who have gone
off into believing there are "Two Christ's", let me just read a few
quotes from God's vindicated prophet for you.
Marriage and divorce - 65-0221M82. Now, He plainly shows here in these types
there is One Christ and many members of that, Wife.
Notice, He can put us away for spiritual fornications and false doctrine
anytime He wants to, but how dare you try to put Him away and make it.
Why against organized religion -
62-1111E So there can't
be two laws in existence at one time. And there's one law, one God, one Book,
One Christ. That's all. One faith, one hope.
That's all. That's the Bible: Christ. Notice
now in this, if there is to be something
added to This, it's got to be added by men. It can't be no more
than...
It is I - 61-0517 We are not divided; we are one body. We
believe that there is One Christ Who
saved us all. And so that's how we stand.
QA Hebrews part
2 COD - 57-1002 90. So
it's all one great perfect coming; it's all one great perfect God; it's all one great perfect Christ, one great perfect
Church, one great perfect redemption, everything. It comes a trinity, but it's all in one. See? It's not three
people, not three this; it's just one Person, one
Church, one Body, One Christ, one Lord in you all, through you all, and
so forth like that: all one.
Now, that
ought to clarify for those who think that when Jesus received the baptism of
the spirit that there were now two lords, and two Christ's. Because brother
Branham just said, it's just one Person, one
Church, one Body, One Christ,
one Lord in you all, through
you all, and so forth like that: all one.
And that is the same as the
Apostle Paul said in 1
Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit
are we all baptized into one body, whether
we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to
drink into one Spirit.
And again in Ephesians
2:18 For through him we both have
access by one Spirit unto the Father.
But just because we have the same Spirit in
different members which make up the body of Christ, does not mean that we are
individuals separate entities, and operate separately from the body itself. No,
we are one body, and as thus all parts of that body have the very same Life
Spirit operating in each individual member of that body, but not for separate
reasons, but all work together for the purpose of serving the one body, not
self.
1
Corinthians 12:8 For to one is given by the
Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
That is where people really need to get
their eyes off the vessels that God uses and get their eyes on the One Lord who
is using those vessels but is working through those vessels.
Deity of Jesus Christ the - 49-1225 18. Jesus come three times. He came the first
time to redeem His Church. He comes the second time to receive His Church. He
comes the third time with His Church. Everything in the Bible travels in
trinity, three, but all in One Christ. Remember, the first time to
redeem His Church, the second time to receive His Church, the third time with
His Church, as King and Queen. Now, but on His first coming, we'll speak of
just a little bit, and then on His being here; and then on His second coming;
and then on the third time; if the Lord willing.
So we see
that it is One Lord and One Christ all the way through, and just using
different vessels like putting on a mask, but it is the One Lord Jesus Christ
revealing himself to mankind using the body of Christ which is one body with
many members.
Let us pray...
