Doctrine no 12

Crucifying The Doctrine

Brian Kocourek, May 27 2015

1 John 4: 1-6  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5  They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

2 John 1:7  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Hebrews 6:4  For it is impossible for those who were once for all enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers (companions) of the Holy Ghost, 5  And have tasted the good word of God, (notice they tasted but they would not eat) and the powers of the world to come, 6  If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7  For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:  8  But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. 9  But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. 10  For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11  And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 12  That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. 13  For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14  Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 15  And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Notice here we see God is warning us that men will come right up to the promises for this hour, for this is the hour when we are once for all enlightened. And men will come up to the once for all enlightenment, and then they will stop short of it, only having tasted it, and right there when they stop short, they crucify the Word of God afresh.

In fact brother Branham said from Anointed ones at end time 65-0725M P:138 Notice. Come up to the borderline and quit. Looky here, He said in Hebrews the 6th chapter, now, we was reading awhile ago. I told you to refer back to it, and we will for the next couple minutes. He said, "But thorns and thistles which is nigh unto rejection, whose end is to be burned..." Borderline. "Ye who have tasted the heavenly gift... (Tasted, other words, you seen it. You can't just taste it with your mouth; but you seen it, and you knew it was the Truth. You knowed it was the truth.)--tasted the heavenly gift, and made partakers of the Holy Spirit as It fell upon you, tasted of the good Word of God (tasted, you seen it was right. And the Holy Ghost falling upon you, the weed in the field), and then turn away, denying the very Christ that sanctified you, and called you, and put that anointing upon you; there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin for that." It's unpardonable. It's impossible for them to ever come to the knowledge of the truth. "For it is impossible for those who were made partakers of the Holy Spirit (fell upon the weeds... See? Started in with Jesus, and 'Lord, I'm going through,' but when you hit the Word, you turn back)--made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and even tasted (or seen the Word Itself manifested), and then turn away from It; it's totally impossible, for them to ever see It or come to It. That's THUS SAITH THE SCRIPTURE. Now, heavens and earth will pass away but It won't. You see it? Totally impossible, the Bible said so. And the Spirit bears record of it.

You see how they do it? They hear the message, they see the vindication of it, and then they turn away and ay there's nothing to it. Right there they die. Right their they crucify the Word of God afresh and put it to an open shame.

Questions and answers COD 61-1015M P:30 Now, you notice, "For it is impossible for those which were once enlightened and has been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, if they turn away to renew themselves again unto repentance..." See? Here we are. "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted (Watch.), tasted the heavenly gift..." They been right on the edge of it: "tasted the heavenly gifts..."Now, you notice they never had come to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. See? They was enlightened to it: "And tasted of the heavenly gift (See?), but were made partakers of the Holy Ghost (by tasting of it), and have tasted of the good Word of God, (part of it. See?) and powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew themselves..."

QA on the Holy Ghost COD 59-1219 P:98 Why, little old Caleb and Joshua jumped up there and quietened them, said, "We're more than able to take it." Yes, sir. There's the one. Now, look. What happened? Caleb and Joshua knew that God gave the promise of it: "I don't care how big it is, how much the obstacles are, how high they are, how great they are, that don't have nothing to do with it. God said so; we can take it." And do you know they were the only two people out of that two and a half million that ever crossed into the land? Because they held their faith in what God said to be the truth. Amen. The Tabernacle, right now, stands at Kadesh-barnea. Look, them people was so close till they even tasted the grapes out of the land. They eat the grapes. When Caleb and them went over and brought back the grapes, them fellows pulled off some and eat them, "Oh, they're good, but we can't do it." "They that have tasted the good work of God, have tasted of the Holy Spirit, seen the goodness of It, tasted of It, has tasted of the Word of God..." See that? None of them men, not one of them ever was permitted to go over. They perished in their own land, over here in the wilderness. They never went over, yet they was close enough to taste it, but not enough grace and faith to take it. That's what it is.

Harvest time 64-1212 P:95 Now, Hebrews the 6th, if I could quote it, "For it is impossible for them which were once enlightened, and have tasted of the Holy Ghost, the power of the world to come, if they shall fall away again, deny, walk away." Like those fellows come up there and eat the grapes from over on the other land, stood there; and when it come to following the Word on through, they said, "We can't do it." And they died in the wilderness. That's where we got. We tasted a good Word of God. But the full promise, "No, no, we can't do that (See?), 'cause Doctor So-and-so or somebody else says we can't do it. That's for the apostles. That was another day." There you die. See, the Scripture all ties together; every Word of It ties together. And it cannot be given by any manmade theory, system, or anything. It's only revealed by the Holy Ghost. Jesus said, "Father, I thank You You've hid these things from the wise and prudent, and reveal it to babes such as will learn."

Spoken word original seed 62-0318E P:125 And I was setting there and I thought, "Is there something in there, Lord?" I thought, "Now, I believe in election, yeah. 'They which were once enlightened, partakers of the Holy Ghost (See?), and has tasted of the Word of God...'" I said, "That's that borderline believers that'll come right up almost to the real thing and then go back; just like them was in the times of Joshua." (Joshua and Caleb went on over, but these just stayed borderline, see, tasted and seen the good works of God, then refused it.)People set around the church all the time, saying, "I believe that, Brother Branham," but never make a move towards it. See, said, it's impossible for them to ever go across. So then they come to that place, and you preach to women with short hair; next year they got short hair, just the same. Preach to men to do, they do just the same thing. You see? Never see, borderline believers. Just say, "Oh, yes, I believe it's right."

Now, I want to make this as personal as I can so you won't fail to understand what He is telling us. In his day, the people saw God manifest His supernatural and vindicate the ministry of William Branham enough, that you could say they tasted the good word and the powers of the world to come. And they still walked away from it, then they show they have crucified the Word of God afresh.

And today fifty years later, God is still backing up His Word, and showing signs and wonders, and supernatural, and people see it, which means they've tasted of it, they've seen God change the weather and stop storms, within minutes after He is asked to do it, and he does it, and watch as God grows back pieces of a man's anatomy that was eaten away by gain green, and they have seen all this, and still they say, "oh, there's nothing to it, and walk away, because God only does that for one person."

Then how do you explain those things brothers and sisters? By what Scripture do you explain when a man walks in the truth of the doctrine and God answers his prayer, and stops storms or drops the heat by 30 plus degrees on more than one occasion, and within minutes after prayer, and then you say, There's nothing to it, John 14:12 is for one person and one person only.

Mark 16 speaks only of laying hands on the sick and the sick being healed. It says nothing of speaking the word and storms vanishing. Or speaking the Word and weather changing from 102 degrees down to 70 or on a different occasion from 110 down to 70.

How do you explain it my brothers and sisters, because if you say there is nothing to it, then you have tasted it because you've seen or heard it, but you have walked away from it and say, it can't happen because it can only happen to one man. And right there you have tasted it but walked away from it and in doing so you have crucified the Word of God afresh and put it to an open shame.

Indictment the 63-0707M P:89 And the Holy Ghost today is not no third person; It's God Himself manifested in human flesh by the Blood of Jesus Christ to sanctify a life that He might reflect Himself through. And they crucify that same Word made manifest. You understand? The crucifixion of Christ today is the people who will deny the vindicated and manifested Son of God among the people by His things that He said would take place in this day by His Word. See? Now, the same vindication would have to be the same if He's the same Son of God, 'cause He said in St. John 14:12 now, that, "The works that I do shall you do also." Hebrews 13:8: "He's the same yesterday, today, and forever." "If ye abide in Me... (John 15) If ye abide in Me and My words abide in you, just ask what you will, and it'll be given to you." Yes, sir.

Indictment the 63-0707M P:67 Jesus Christ was the Person, Man, God. Hallelujah. He was the manifestation of God. He was God in a body form to reflect the Word of God for that age, to make that age see God's promise for that age. And the Holy Ghost is the same thing today; It's the Spirit of God upon the written Word, trying to find somebody to reflect Itself to this age to prove that He's the same yesterday, today, and forever; St. John 14:12: "The works that I do shall you also": Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. See? Constantly trying to find Its way to reflect Itself...And they could not do it. The people thought so much of their denominations, their little nests that they had and so forth, called their churches, so they wouldn't listen to it. So do they do it today, same thing, crucify afresh.

Pardoned 63-1028 P:61 You see, God wants to work in His church. Jesus said, "I'll be with you always, even to the end of the world. The works that I do shall you do also." St. John 12:14, "The works that I do shall you do also; even more than this shall you do; for I go to My Father." Now, the church tries to deny that, to get a way to get more members, to be more popular. Now, I want to ask you something. God is trying to perform in His church, and the church is trying to perform by the creed. And the two can't work together. You've got to get rid of the creed and get Christ in. And how can you do it? When He sees the Blood, when the Blood has been applied with a sincere heart and a hand laid upon Jesus Christ, and a heart that's true before God to confess he's wrong and be born of the Holy Spirit, then the works of God would follow, as He said it would do. Yeah, the church wants to perform through their creeds to see how many members they can get. God wants to perform through the power of the Blood to get Christians borned again. That's exactly the difference of it. To do this you must reject... To do this they, you've got to reject the Holy Spirit and His performing power to accept a creed. You have to see the truth before you can accept an error. If you're going to be a Christian you can't... You have to walk over God's promise in order to get in error. Because there's a red light flashing before you all the time, "This is the Word."

Second seal the 63-0319 P:86 And when a man turns down the Gospel Truth, Satan marks him. Where? At his ear. He deafens him so he can't hear the Truth no more. And he's finished. My. He stays with the group that he's with, if he won't hear the truth. No. "You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free." The Truth makes free. God marks His when they come. God marks His by vindicating His promised Word through them. That's exactly Saint John 14:12, and another thing if you want to put down: Mark 16. Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe."

Notice brother Branham said, God marks His by vindicating His promised Word through them. Plural. And then he says, That's exactly John 14:12.

Five identifications 60-0911E P:56 John 14:12, He gives the teaching what the church should do. In John the 14th chapter, and the 12th verse, we'll see what that says. John 14:12, so we read it, make it official. All right, John 14 and the 12th verse. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these do he, do, shall; because I go to my Father". That's the message of the church: "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever," living in the church, King of the church, raised from the dead, same yesterday, today, and forever, performing the same works, doing the same things that Jesus did. That's the message of the church. If the church isn't teaching That, it's teaching some false theology. That's what Jesus commanded them to preach.

If they are not teaching that "they are crucifying the Word of God afresh", they are crucifying the doctrine of Christ.

Putting on the whole Armor of God 62-0607 P:78 Now. He said what He would do? He would come and vindicate Himself in His church, and they would vindicate His resurrection by His works. See? Yeah, John 14:12. I think that's right: yeah, John 14:12. Jesus said, "He that believeth in Me, the works that I do shall he do also." See, what is it? Now, you say, "I believe." That's just a word. But if you truly believe, that's this. If He is the Word, then you got to believe all the Word. "He that believeth all of Me (just don't believe part of it, believe all of Me), then the works that I do shall he do also," for He is still the same Word. So if it's the same Word, it would do the same works. If this Holy Spirit that's here today, if it isn't the same Word that it was in the beginning... If It is, It'll do the same works. That's the reason Jesus said, "He that believeth in Me, the works that I do shall he do also." Oh, I'd like to stay on that a little while, but getting too late. Why? The same Word, same works (See?), 'cause Jesus was God's works, we know that.

Anointed ones at end time 65-0725M P:35 Remember this was at the end time, not back under Wesley and back there. Now at the end time this was to take place. Now, watch the Scriptures; let Them testify. Jesus said, "Search the Scriptures, for in them you think (or believe) that you have Eternal Life, and They are the One's that testify of Me." In other words, "If this tree ever brings forth a branch..." "I am the Vine, the Tree; ye are the branches; he that believeth in Me, the works that I do shall he do also." St. John 14:12.

Does God change His mind 65-0427 P:35 Jesus said, in Saint John 14:12, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." Is that right? He promised in Mark 16, "These signs shall follow them that believe." They say, "Well, that was just for the apostles." He said, "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. These signs shall follow them in all the world, and to every creature. In My Name they shall cast out devils. They shall speak with new tongues. If they take up serpents, or drink deadly things, it wouldn't harm them. If they lay their hands on the sick, they shall recover." Now, that is His qualification. See, we try to qualify something. We are trying to qualify the church to what we think God's Word is. We can't qualify to the church. We've got to qualify to God.

God's provided place of worship 65-0425 P:75 Jesus said in Saint John 14:12, "He that believeth, while he is in Me..." No wonder people say the days of miracles is passed, no wonder they say these things. "He that believeth in Me (not believe on Me, but believe in Me), the works that I do shall he do also." Why? It's His Life. It's His dynamics in His mechanics that's in you that fires it off, makes it go and do the works that it promised do. Or, my life in Him, has quickened me by His Spirit, to make His Word, which is the Mechanics, work by His Dynamics. Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

Rising of the sun 65-0418M P:48 ...until that church becomes both Dynamics and Mechanics, and the Spirit of God that moved Him to do the things that He did, if He hit on sixteen cylinders, so will the Bride. Amen. For He said in John 14:12, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also, I'll give him a charge of My Dynamics in his mechanics, that the world will not be able to withstand it, and I'll raise him up again at the last day." That's the Easter message: the Dynamics and the mechanics together. The mechanics without the Dynamics, no good; neither is the Dynamics without the mechanics. You can scream and shout and jump up and down all you want to, and deny this Word; it won't do any good. You're just cranking around the--the pistons of--got spark there to fire, but no gasoline to fire it by. It'll only work as they come together. Amen. So one will set still and the other one'll go up; that's the only thing there is to it. Yet they both might look like, both claim to be churches, both claim to be brides, but one has mechanics and Dynamics. It brings it to pass. But what He said is the Truth. It just won't move, no matter how good the mechanics is, until the Dynamics come. When the Dynamics come, that Fire is made to connect with that octane in the gasoline. And when that explodes it, it causes a combustion, and that combustion moves every motion, every move, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That's the resurrection; that's the real power of God: mechanics with the Dynamics.

Rising of the sun 65-0418M P:30 Now, if there is another gospel, as Paul spoke to one of the groups, "I am so surprised that you turned to another gospel (which there is no other but a make-believe gospel), to a denominational fiction, turning from that good news: 'And because I live, ye live also, and I live in you; and the works that I do (John 14:12), the works that I do will identify Myself in you.'" Oh, what a Message. No wonder we've had a dark world of theology. But in the evening time there shall come Light again. There will be a resurrection in the evening time. It shall be Light at the evening time.

Easter seal 65-0410 P:56 It's the Holy Spirit today hunting out honest hearts that will believe that message. Everything in the Bible that was promised is to that believer; and when you accept it in its fullness, then God knows that you'll do it; He gives you the abstract to that. And then, every promise that's made is in your possession, and the Holy Spirit's there to quicken that to you. Oh, my. What kind of people should we be? How wonderful to see that God's great Holy Spirit here to do that power. Think of it. When the Holy Ghost Itself, here to bear record of this hour. Jesus said so. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. How dare any man to wipe that out of there. "The works that I do shall you do also. (John 14:12) These signs shall follow them that believe." That is the assurance.

Paradox a 65-0117 P:53 Now, let me give you a great noble paradox here, just a minute. In John 14:12, Jesus said, promised that the believer that believed on Him, would do the same works. Is that right? God, Who makes a law or a promise, must keep that promise to be God. He does keep it. To think, the God... Why, It's a paradox itself; for God, Who makes a promise and cannot break that promise, to give that promise of the things that He did to His people to follow throughout the age until He returned again. "Go ye into all the world, preach the Gospel to every creature (every creature, all the world.); he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, and he that believeth not shall be damned; and these signs shall follow them that believe." He's got to keep that Word. And because He said it, it went from His mouth, it's got to be fulfilled. All Scripture's got to be fulfilled. So it's a paradox alone to hear Jesus the Son of God make such a statement as that, "The things that I do will you do also." Now, the Bible said in Hebrews 13:8, He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. That's a paradox, 'cause it has to be done. "Heavens and earth will pass away, but not one Word that I've ever said will ever fail," He said. It has to be done.

Uncertain sound 62-0714 P:91 Listen. Jesus said, the Bible, Christ, in John 14:12, "He that believeth on Me (not make-believeth), but... he that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he also..." Shall, not perhaps, will, or ought to. He shall do it. Nothing uncertain about that. He said they shall. What kind of works did He do? What kind of works did He show? What was He called by? A devil for doing it. "If they call the Master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call them of His disciples?" No uncertainty, He said, "If he that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." Nothing uncertain...Again, He said in Saint John, "If ye abide in Me, and My Word abide in you, then ask what you may, and it'll be done for you." Not no uncertain, "It shall be given you. It shall be done: Nothing uncertain.

Harvest time 64-1212 P:70 See, that don't reflect the Word of God, when a seminary student tells you, "The Holy Ghost is not for today. And these things, all that Divine healing stuff for some other day." See, it's not a reflection from God; it's a reflection from a creed. It's a reflecting from a doctrine that's outside the Bible. Hebrews 13:8 said He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Saint John 14:12, said, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall He do also." Now, how you going to take that Word out of there? How you going to add something in Its place? You break your chain of Life. Man lives by Bread only, the Bread, eternally he lives by that Bread. Physically, he lives by this bread. There's the two breads. The Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is in you, says "amen" to every Word of God, if that is the Holy Ghost.

God identifying Himself 64-0320 P:33 The pouring out of the Holy Ghost in the last days upon the common people has identified God's characteristic with the people. He promised it. It's the Word. He said He'd do it. Nobody can take it back. He said He would do it. So all these things that He's promised, that's what He does. It identifies His characteristic. Yes, sir. "Don't believe it, don't believe My claims, if My characteristic isn't that of God." Now, notice in John 14:12, "He that believeth on Me," He said, "has My identification, My characteristic. He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." That identifies that the character of Christ is in him, displaying the characteristics of Him. Amen.

Calling Jesus on the scene 64-0319 P:42 You say, "How can we be sure of this? Can we prove it?" John 14:12, Jesus said, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." That's exactly, our faith bringing Christ in our presence.

Investments the 64-0314 P:24 That's what makes the Gospel today. It's the unusualness, because God is unusual. His Word is interpreted unusual to what we sometimes have it interpreted. But as I've said before, God needs nobody to interpret His Word. He does His own interpretation by bringing to pass the things that He said He would do. He interprets His own Word. He doesn't need our interpretation. It's... Our interpretation is our own manmade thoughts that we put with It. When God said, "Let there be light," and there was light, that needs no interpretation. God said, "A virgin shall conceive," and she did. That doesn't need any interpretation. Jesus said, "The Son of man goes up to Jerusalem, and be given into the hands of sinful men. They'll crucify Him; and on the third day He'll raise up again." That needs no interpretation. He said, "A little while and the world seeth Me no more; yet ye shall see Me: for I'll be with you, even in you, to the end of the age, to the consummation." He's here. It doesn't need any interpretation. It's His promise." The works that I do shall he do also. He that believeth in Me, the works that I do shall he do also." That's found in St. John 14:12, and we know that that's true. So it doesn't need any interpretation.

God identified by characteristics 64-0311 P:22 John 14:12, "He that believeth," Jesus said, "on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." Now, look, "He that believeth on Me (a true believer), the works that I do shall he do also." Notice. In other words, like this, "He that believeth on Me, shall be identified by My characteristic, the works." Now, that's what He did. He said, "If I don't do the Father's works, then don't believe Me." And the Father spoke to the prophets, and that was their characteristic, identification. So was it with Jesus. And promised it to him that believeth, "My characteristics shall do in him just as it did in Me. And if I do not the works of My Father, then don't believe Me. But if I do the works, and you can't believe Me, then believe the works, because it's spoken of; it must be." He said, "Search the Scriptures, for in Them you think you have Eternal Life, and They are They that tell you Who I am." That was Jesus (See?), God manifested, showing Himself. "They testify Who I am." That makes Hebrews 1:1 now, "God in sundry times spake by the prophets," clearly identifying the characteristic now of the resurrection of His Son. God spoke by the prophets then, through His Son now. The unchangeable God, the same characteristic, ". That's how you The works that I do, shall you do also." God's known by His identified characteristic know. You say, "Well, I tell you this; we sing this, we do this, and we do." That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the Word made manifest and identifying this Life, the characteristics of the promised Word for the age. Them Pharisees knowed that Bible as good as anybody, better than any of us clergymen know ours today. They had to live by It. Their great-great-grandfather were priests. They studied It, day and night, and they failed to see that identified Word.

Identification 64-0216 P:73 For this cause He said, John 14:12, "The works that I do, shall you do also. And if any will follow Me, let him deny his creed, deny himself, deny the world, take up his cross and follow Me."

Total separation from unbelief 64-0121 P:15 Does He still live in His Church and perform His signs and miracles that He did when He was here on earth," which He so surely promised us in St. John 14:12, "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; even greater than this shall he do, for I go to My Father. These signs shall follow them that believe": Shall follow them. The question is for the people today: "Does He really mean it?" And when you accept what the church says, "Does He really mean it?" then you put yourself in the same condition that Adam did, and join yourself with the woman of the church of this world and separate yourself from the blessings that God has promised to every believer that would separate himself from the world to the Word.

Sir we would see Jesus 63-1112 P:18 Now, according to the Scriptures, we are supposed to be written epistles of Him. The Bible says that we are written epistles. And if, tonight, we would hunger and thirst to see the Lord Jesus Christ, we as Christian believers should reflect His Life, so much, till it would be His entire representative. We should be that. Every Christian should be represent and reflect the Life of Jesus Christ. Do you believe that? And I believe that every Christian should be reflecting the Life of Christ. He said in Saint John 14:12, "He that believeth on Me, the works I do shall he do also." And then we know that that's true, that we are His representatives. And if we claim that Christ lives in us, and if Christ lives in us, then we should do as Christ did. We should reflect His Life.

He that is in you 63-1110E P:106 Now, that's why these true miracles can be done, because it's a promise of God: "The things that I do, shall you do also," St. John 14:12. He, Christ, that stilled the winds and the waves, is the Creator of them. He's still just as much Creator as He was then; He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. He healed the sick, and destroyed sin, and changed it all for you, and come to you that He might dwell with you. He conquered all these to come and live in us. He is that Conqueror that's already conquered these things, proved it in the Scriptures, come back and conquered everything, and proved to you that He is the same God; and after nineteen hundred years, here He's still doing the same thing among us that He did then. He conquered death, hell, sickness, and the grave.

If you believe that he could do it back then in Jesus and 50 years ago in William Branham, why do you doubt that the same God can do those things in you? What is so great about your flesh that it is stronger than the flesh of William Branham?

He that is in you 63-1110E P:99 But He that is in you is Christ. And if Christ is in you, the works of Christ you'll do, if Christ lives in you. He said so, St. John 14:12, "He that believeth in Me, the works that I do shall he do also." If you was in Christ, or if Christ lived in you... Then Christ is the Word. Is that right? And the Word come to His prophets. See? And if Christ lived in you, the works of Christ would be done through you, the Life of Christ would be lived through you. The works He did, the life He lived, and everything, it would live in you, just like if Shakespeare, Beethoven, or whoever it was, lived in you. If His Life... But if you still living your own life, then your own works you'll do. See? But if you're living the Life of Christ, if Christ is in you, "He that's in you is greater than he that's in the world." If your doubts and flusterations about God's promise is in you, then Christ isn't there. See, you're only worked up. But if the Life... If Christ is living in you, His Word He will recognize and His promise He'll do. See? He'll do.

Souls in prison now 63-1110M P:66 St. John 14:12. "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." See? The works, preaching to the lost, healing the sick, and then to the impossible to ever be saved... See? The work went on just the same. So this has this been? May I put it like this?

Investments 63-0803B P:40 No wonder Jesus said, "If ye abide in Me, and my Word in you, then ask what you will." See? "The works that I do (John 14:12), he that believeth, confessed and believeth on Me (See?) the works that I do shall he do also." Because God is in the believer just like He was in Christ. Not in the Fulness He was in Christ, but He is in you just like He was, because you are a son of God through Jesus Christ.

Christ is the mystery 63-0728 P:273 Now, we see the promise being fulfilled. Christ, the true Headship going in--coming in His Bride, doing the same works that He did at the beginning, and making ready, and fulfilling His Word as He did at first in John 14:12: "He that believeth on Me the works that I do shall he do also." Then the Head and the Body are becoming one in works and in sign and in Life, vindicated by God Hisself through His promised Word for the last days. He promised this in the last days. Now, if you're spiritual, you'll catch it.

Who Is This Melchisedec 65-0221E 163 Dear God, I believe the Scriptures, that You have said You was the same yesterday, today, and forever. And as sincerely in my heart, Lord, I know that something's fixing to take place. I cannot strictly identify it; I'm afraid to say anything, Lord. Thou knowest the heart of Your servants. And how many times down through the age when You sent things, people failed to get it. Man is constantly praising God for what He did, and saying what great things He's going to do, but ignoring what's He's doing. So has it been through the age. Why did the Roman church fail to see Saint Patrick as God's prophet? Why did they kill Joan of Ark when she was a prophetess, burnt her as a witch? Father, it's always past. You hide it from the eyes of the wise and prudent. No wonder You said to them priests, "You garnish the tombs of the prophets, and you're the one that put them in there." After they're gone they see their mistake. They always persecute You, Lord, in whatever form You come in.

Notice he speaks of Jesus rebuke to the religious people of his day, specifically the Pharisees who were the most advanced and dedicated Jews of His time. And He said, you guys are always talking about what God did in the past and what God is going to do, and yet when God comes and does it you are the first to reject it. Let’s just turn to the scriptures for a moment, and let’s read for ourselves what he is referring to here in this statement.

In MATTHEW 23:29 we find the scene is Jesus talking to the Scribes and Pharisees. These are the best of the best when it came to knowing the Old Testament Scriptures. These were the crème de le crème. The scholars and most devoted men, and yet look at the rebuke Jesus gives them.

Notice He says, “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees",

Now this word "woe" is an exclamation of grief, it is a word that is used to express sorrow or dismay, in other words, He’s saying “what a pity, or “what a pitiful bunch you guys are” then he calls them…) hypocrites! Because a hypocrite is someone who knows better but will not do because of some personal gain that can be made by not doing, or acknowledging the Truth.. The dictionary defines hypocrisy as "The practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess; falseness.)" And then Jesus tells them why they are Hypocrites.

He says, because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 30 And say, (Now this is the key to why he is calling them hypocrites, He says it is what you say…There is nothing wrong with building the tombs of the prophets, but to do so and say…) If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 [Ye] serpents, [ye] generation of vipers, (and notice, not just you lineage of serpents, but you lineage of vipers.

That’s deadly serpents whose venom kills.) how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (How can you? You can’t, because it was made for this kind of people, religious, yet dead wrong, and with words will kill the influence of the Truth.)

34 ¶ Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets,(Notice I send you, this is in the future, I will send to you Prophets… A prophet is a revealer of the Word.) and wise men,(These are teachers, and not just someone who claims to be a teacher, but there is a special trait about these men, they are thoughtful, and sagacious which means  they show a  keen sense of discernment  and possess sound judgment, farsightedness and are discreet (implying a cautious character.)

and scribes: (Men, with a gift to write) and [some] of them ye shall kill and crucify; and [some] of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute [them] from city to city: 35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under [her] wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Now the killing does not only mean in a physical way. I have a letter from brother Branham at home that was written to my father in law, and in it brother Branham said there are more ways to kill a man than with a gun or a knife. He said you can kill a man’s influence and you might as well have shot him with a bullet.

From Testimony of a True Witness brother Branham said, You can kill a man more ways than just sticking him with a knife; speak against his character, many ways you can do it.

Hebrews Chapter 7part 2 pp 55, 57-0922  And you people with these saw-blade tempers, that's always spouting off in the mouth at somebody, can't put up, and things like that. Be careful. You're guilty if you speak a word against your brother that's not right, not just. Go around and tear down... You don't have to stick a knife in a man's back to kill him; you can break his character and kill him, kill his influence. Speak against your pastor here, say something bad about him, you just might as well have shot him; told something that wasn't right about him, well, it'll kill his influence with the people and things like that, and you're guilty of it.

You see, God promised to send us men, Prophets, Teachers, Scribes and they would crucify the Word afresh by killing their influence, maligning their character, and all sorts of things like that.

MATTHEW 5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

LUKE 11:47 Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. 48 Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres. 49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and [some] of them they shall slay and persecute: 50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; 51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation. 52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. 53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge [him] vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things: 54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

SOULS IN PRISON NOW  63-1110M  39-3    He predicted He would send them prophets with the Word of the Lord, and what would they do? The same thing their fathers did because that's what you are. See? Spirits don't die. Men that's possessed of them die, but spirits don't die. He said, "You're the children; you're the ones." Just notice how these things are.  39-4How that St. Paul stood there (You believe he was a prophet?) and condemned women to bob their hair, condemned their organizations, announced that every man that wasn't baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ must come and be baptized over again. That's right. And today they compromise and sweeten it around. They don't know no different though. It's pitiful. If the hour is over... I might say this: (See?) They were blind, predestinated to be blind. God, be merciful. They couldn't see it. Jesus said, "You're blind. You blind scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. When you read the same Word that all of them has read, and here you come and condemn Me, and I'm exactly what the Word said that it would be in this day. I was to be the Messenger of this day. I'm the Messiah," He said in so many words; "I'm the Messiah, and have I failed to prove it? If I haven't done what was written of Me, then condemn Me. And you blind Pharisees, lead your people right off into a thing like that and send the whole bunch..." Said, "Well, the blind leads the blind." 40-2 You said, "Oh, if we would've lived back in the time of St. Paul, yeah, I'd have took sides with St. Paul." You hypocrites, why don't you take the side with his doctrine? You'd have done the same thing then you done now, for you're the children of your fathers, your organizational fathers, Pharisees, Sadducees, and self-righteous... That's--that's it. I tell you in that hour that we live; I wonder if this could be the Third Pull. Just a minute now. Jesus said, "This kind receives greater damnation." See?

Oh, how I love what he just said, notice…he said you claim that if you had live in the days of Paul you would have sided with him, then he said, you are hypocrites, because if you would have sided with him back then you would be siding with him on his doctrine now. And so there we have it. If you have not the right doctrine, it shows that you have not the right spirit.

Now, I know that men will quote brother Branham from his message GODHEAD EXPLAINED 61-0425B  15-1  and they will say, brother Branham said, I would rather have the right spirit and the wrong doctrine than have the right doctrine and have a wrong spirit, but that is not what he said. Brother Branham did not say you could have a wrong spirit and have the right doctrine. He was talking about the condition of your heart. He said, I would rather be wrong in my doctrine and right in my heart, than to be right in my doctrine and wrong in my heart." See? I said, "After all, it's your heart's condition."

Therefore, if the heart is right it will not turn down the right doctrine. How can your heart be right and fight the doctrine of Christ? And the Apostle John said in 2 John 1:9 if you do not have the doctrine of Christ you don’t even have God. So how can you have a right spirit which is God’s Spirit, and have the wrong doctrine. Jesus said in Matthew 7 a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit and a Vindicated Prophet of God said that the fruit is the teaching of the season.

So how can you have the right spirit and have the wrong doctrine? You can’t. But brother Branham was not speaking of the spirit, he was speaking of the heart. He was talking about a hardened heart, versus a soft and supple heart. If you have a right heart with God you will receive the doctrine of God. That is what Malachi 4 is all about, returning the heart back to the Doctrine of the Apostles.

SIR WE WOULD SEE JESUS  63-1112 220    Now, we know that He is the same. Now, if we come tonight, we find out if... Jesus cannot fail, because He was God. He is the Word. The Word and Christ is the same. Then if the Word promises (the Word) that this is to happen in the last days, the Spirit of Elijah is even to return in the last day (That's right.) upon the peoples, and He's to turn the hearts of the children back to the fathers, the doctrine, the principles of the Bible.

It’s always been the doctrine. That’s what the message is, it is the doctrine, the teaching. The word doctrine means teaching, and that is what they reject, and that is the reason they crucify the Word.

It’s not the part of the Word that says, bless and curse not. It’s not the part of the Word which deals with relationships. It not the Thou Shalt’s or Thou Shalt nots. It’s not the part of the Word that speaks of forgiveness and love, and the sermon on the mount and those things. It’s the Doctrine they kill and try to destroy.

RECOGNIZING YOUR DAY  64-0726M 140 Down in your heart you feel the Holy Spirit dropping tears. "Jerusalem, oh, Jerusalem, how oft would I have hovered you. But what did you do? You killed the prophets that I sent to you. You murdered them." And the Messages has been sent to the church today has been murdered by their denominational dogmas. The Scripture has been murdered by their dogmas..

WAY OF A True Prophet 62-0513M 29-4  another one with him, stood at a certain place not long ago, said, "Brother Branham is a prophet; he can discern things and things like"; but said, "now, don't listen to his doctrine, 'cause he's not right."

Now, how much sense does that make when the word of the Lord comes to the Prophet. Yes they call him a prophet but deny what he taught. And they are still doing that right in this message. Claiming to be following the prophet and denying his teaching.

REV CHAP 4 PT 3 THRONE MERCY  61-0108  245    Stephen stood there, said, "I know what I'm talking about." Said, "You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears; you always resist--resist the Holy Ghost. Like your fathers did, so do you." Said, "Which one of your fathers hasn't killed the prophets and then build their tombs to them?" You denominations, which one of you hasn't done the same thing? See? Build big white-walled castles, and morgues, and things around here, and then talk about God. You're the very one that put Him in the morgue; you're the very one put Him in the tomb. That's the very thing that put Him in the tomb back there, was a big white-castled church, the denominations, Pharisees and Sadducees that put Him in there, and then try to build a memorial to it.

ACTS 7:51  Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers [did], so [do] ye.(and how do they resist the Holy Ghost? The Holy Ghost is Christ, and the word Christ means Anointer, Anointed, or Anointing. So the Doctrine of Christ is the doctrine of the Anointer with the anointing. And how do they resist Him? They come against the Doctrine of Christ! Which is the Doctrine of the Anointer, Anointing His Anointed.)

52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: 53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept [it]. 54   When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with [their] teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. 57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, 58   And cast [him] out of the city, and stoned [him]:

let us pray
