Doctrine no. 3

There must be ones God reveals Himself to

Brian Kocourek, April 19, 2015

Last Sunday we began a new mini series on doctrine, and we began by showing you that there are 3 things necessary in order for us to have correct doctrine.

No 1 there must be One Who reveals, and therefore the whole purpose of the doctrine is to point to the One Who is Revealing. That be God Himself.

No 2 Which we preached on Wednesday night, there must be the One In Whom or through whom God Reveals Himself. In other words, there must be a vessel of God's choosing and that be a prophet according to the many Scriptures we brought on concerning this point.

No 3 and this is what we'll focus our thoughts on this morning, concerning doctrine, and that there is there must be Ones to whom the doctrine of Christ is revealed to.

Notice that you need all three of these to have correct Bible Doctrine. 1. The One Who Reveals 2. The One in Whom he reveals-The vessel of God's choosing to reveal Himself. And no 3 The Ones to Whom he reveals Himself.

Therefore, this morning we'll focus our thoughts on point number 3) There has to be a people in which His Revelation of Himself  is to be made known to and upon receiving this revealing or Revelation, they will become one with it by receiving the manifestation of It and then echoing or reflecting it themselves. And you will find this in the following Scriptures.

Hebrews 12:25-29 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. (Now, Who came down in this hour with a Message? God, right? So He's the one speaking. And he uses the voice of His prophet.) For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27  And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.  28  Wherefore we (the ones who remain after all the shaking is finished) will receive a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29  For our God is a consuming fire.

Let us pray...

Now let's turn in our Bibles to Colossians 3:1-4 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  3  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (Doxa, God's opinion, God's values, and God's judgments)

In other words, this i the hour that the very Life of Christ is to reflect in such a way that we grow up into Christ, we become in the image of the first born son. That's Romans 8.

Romans 8:11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Now, we could take an entire sermon just on this verse, bujt notice these are the people that he is being revealed to in this hour. And he has placed his spirit in them to live their lives for them.

12  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to self, to live after self. 13  For if ye live after self, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Too many people today are not led by the spirit of God, they are led rather by their church or their denomination. But This is speaking of Sons, ones in Whom God has placed His Spirit in them.

15  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Notice he calls receiving the Holy Spirit the Spirit of adoption. Because this Spirit of adoption will take you from a babe in Christ all the way to a fully mature adult.

16  The Spirit itself (that's God's Spirit) beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Not your spirit will bear witness with his spirit, but His Spirit will bear witness by what He does in and through you. You are dead and your life is hid in God through Christ.

17  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory (the doxa, the values, opinions and judgments of God) which shall be revealed in us.

19  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20  For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21  Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  23  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24  For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.   28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. (endoxazo, the doxa magnified in our zoe, our life) 31  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Ephesians 1:13-20 13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,  14  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. 15  Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,  16  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;  17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

There's your spirit of adoption, and notice He came down with a Message to give you this. And notice what it is for.

18  That the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

If we go back to verse 3 we see these are the people that were In His thinking before the world ever began.

3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:  5  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,  6  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.  7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;  8  Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  9  Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:  10  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:  12  That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

1 John 3:1-3  Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3  And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself,(to morally purify himself) even as He (God is morally) pure. (Then notice what he says) 4  Whosoever committeth sin (and remember sin is unbelief, so whosoever disbelieves) transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Notice this transgressing of the law, means to go beyond the limits of the law. And we find the same words spoken by this same apostle in his Second Book.

2 John 8-9 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.  9  Whosoever transgresseth, (whosoever goes beyond the limits) and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath (echoes) not God. He that abideth (remains) in the doctrine of Christ, he hath (echoes) both the Father and the Son.

2 Thessalonians 1: 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

2 Thessalonians 1:10-12 10  When he shall come to be glorified (en-doxa-zoe, in other words in that day when His glory is magnified) in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony (Paul's testimony) among you was believed) in that day. 11  Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:  12  That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image (we see in the mirror of God's Word, and we are changed from image to image and) from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 13:9-12   For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10  But when that which is perfect is come, (and Who is perfect but God and who is God but The word.

So when God comes down, 1 Thessalonians 4) then that which is in part shall be done away.  11  When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12  For now we see through a glass,(a mirror) darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Why? Because faith is a revelation, and hope is an earnest expectation that comes from the revelation, but Love is an outward expressing of the revelation. In other words, it is when the revelation becomes manifested in you.

Christ is the mystery 63-0728 P:124 The new birth is Christ, is a revelation. God has revealed to you this great mystery, and that's the new birth. Now, what are you going to do when you get all that group together, where the revelation is perfectly in harmony, and God expressing it through His Word by the same actions, the same things that He did, making the Word manifest? Oh, if the Church only knew its position. It will one day. Then, the rapture will go when it knows what it is. Now, notice. You say, "Brother Branham, but that ain't..." Oh, yes, it is, too. It is the Truth.

Jehovah Jireh 58-0127 E-36  And the same Holy Spirit that was in Jesus Christ, will have to be operating in His church to make them coincide together at the rapture, or it won't go up at that time. The Spirit that was in Jesus, will have to be in His church, or the two pieces won't dovetail together, the life of the church and the life of Christ cannot dovetail together.

Hear ye Him 60-0313  E-32  And the church will have to have the same Spirit, doing the same things that Jesus did; or it'll never go in the rapture.

Romans 12:1-3  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (the NIV says, which is your spiritual act of worship when you present your body to God to use as He sees fit that is your highest form or a spiritual act of worship.) 2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Now, in Hebrews 6 we see at the time of the once and for all enlightenment in verse 4-5 that to reject this manifested Word, the person will never be able to renew their mind again. In other words, they will never be able to empty out their own thinking, for they have taken the mark of the beast. They have had the awl placed to the ear and they have become deaf to the Word of God which we find in verse 6.

Hebrews 6:4  For it is impossible for those who were once for all enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers (companions) of the Holy Ghost, 5  And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the coming age, 6  If they shall fall away, (it will be impossible for them) to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

And we know that His Word contains His Spirit and Life as we see in Mark 4:14 that it is called a Seed. The seed that the sower sowed is the Word of God

Mark 4:13  And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? 14  The sower soweth the word. 15  And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16  And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17  And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.  18  And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19  And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it (the word) becometh unfruitful.  20  And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. 21  And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?  22  For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. 23  If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. 24  And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25  For he that hath, (echoes) to him shall be given: and he that hath (echoes) not, from him shall be taken even that which he thinks he hath (is echoing).

And we find in  1 Peter 1: 23 That our new birth comes by the Word of God which is an incorruptible Seed.

1 Peter 1:23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Therefore the Word of God is a carrier of God Life as we see in  John 6:63 63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

And John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; Notice that The Life comes from the Father and is passed down to the Son.

Now Life as we know it is a very complex thing. And it contains what we call attributes and characteristics. These attributes and characteristics are what we call the nature of the Life. Those identifiable characteristics which give the Life it’s special uniqueness.

In 2 Peter 1:2-4 2  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and god-like-ness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

You’ll notice that God's word tells us that "everything we have need of that pertains to Eternal Life, even the very nature of that Life itself, comes forth from the Word of God. So why would anybody look outside this bible for eternal Life. It's all in here, because remember, the Word is a Seed and in that Seed is Life, God-Life.

And it takes Light upon the Word to release the Life that is in the Word because it takes Light to manifest Life.

Ephesians 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

And notice it was this light that brings about our change from glory to glory and from Image to image as we saw in 2 Corinthians 3:18.

And it is this nature that I want to speak on this morning. Now, we need to be able to know this nature, and identify this nature, because being a  nature, it has identifiable characteristics, and if we know what those characteristics are, and can identify them when they are manifest,  then we are able to identify that Life when we see it or come in contact with it.

1 John 4:4-6 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5  They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Notice that the world will hear them but not those who are of God. And the world will not hear God’s seed either. But I want you to pay close attention to verse 6. John is telling us that those who are of God will hear those who are from God. And in discerning who is from God and who is not from God you will know also the difference between truth and error.

Malachi 3:16-18 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. 17  And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.  18  Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Notice that we are told that at the time of the great gathering of Sons, God will anoint us with the Sprit of discernment, which we know according to Heb 4 that the Word is the Discerner. So God will anoint us with His own Spirit.

Hebrews 4:12  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13  Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

John 3:18-21 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than (in a greater way than they loved) light, because their deeds were evil. 20  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  21  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Those who possess the nature of God will come to the Light, others will not.

1 John 2:18-20 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 20  But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21  I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22  Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son. 23  Whosoever denies the Son, the same hath (echoes) not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath (echoes) the Father also.

Others will have to leave because there nature is not the same and they can not feed on the same things. But notice that we have received a special anointing from God that we might KNOW all things. The others might be eating from the same table, and they may be feeding off the same food, but they don’t really know what they are eating, and they don’t really know care what they eat. The buzzard eats the same food as the Eagle, only he can’t smell it until it has become rotten.

In Matthew 24:8 we read, “for wheresoever the carcass is," {that word carcass was translated from the Greek word Ptoma} meaning, the dead body or corpse, there the buzzards will gather, and yet we see in Luke 17:37 that “wheresoever the body is", that word is soma, and it means the fresh kill, "there the eagles will gather".

And this is exactly how brother Branham clarified this in Anointed ones at the End-Time.

214  Anointed Ones at the End-Time  "Where the Carcass is there the eagles will be gathered. Where the Carcass, where the killing is, there the eagles will be gathered. Where the fresh Meat is, the Word of the season, there the eagles will gather." But after it's rottened, then the vultures will swarm to it. See? See what I mean? When a kill's made, here comes the eagles, but after it lays there and rotten, then here comes the vultures. The eagle won't have nothing to do with it. See? Jesus said, "Where the Carcass is, where the Manna fell, the night the Manna falls fresh, there the eagles will gather for It." That's the Manna for the day. See? Notice. But after it gets rotten, maggots get in it, then here comes the vultures. They can't smell it till it gets rotten. No wonder Jesus stood up there and said, "Jerusalem, you that stoned every prophet... Notice that personal pronoun. See? "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, how oft would I (Who was He?)--how oft would I have gathered you as a hen would her brood, you that stoned every prophet I ever sent to you..."

233 Anointed Ones at the End-Time "For it is impossible for those which were once enlightened and didn't move on with the Word as it come to pass..." They're dead, gone.”

Brother Branham Audio Letter to Lee Vayle “God then, in order to proclaim this, has to send a prophet in order to inject this, make this real again, show the people the hour we're living in? Because if they only see it in the hour past, then there's no hope for the church. The church must see it in the present tense. So God sends His prophet to manifest, present tense of it. You see? And then, after it's over, then history is.

22  Without money without Price 59-0802] After the taking away of the Holy Spirit out of the earth, that formal church religion will go right on, not knowing the difference. ... They don't know the Holy Spirit, so they won't know when It's gone, and they'll just be going right on just the same. When the last one is sealed into the Body of Christ; they'll still be going on, trying to bring converts to it, because they don't know what It is. ... they'll be so far away, just in religious rituals, until they will not miss the Holy Spirit, because they don't know what It is to begin with.

You see, they don’t know the Holy Ghost but because they see you eating, they circle around like vultures do, and they wait until there appears to be an opening for them to come in and eat the left over’s. They come and join in the feast after the fresh food has been sitting for some time.

2 Peter 2: 12-22 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13  And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 14  Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:  15  Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16  But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet. 17  These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18  For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.  19  While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

If they are again entangled in the things of evil after they have come to this knowledge, there remains no more hope for them.

Jude 10-13 10  But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. 11  Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12  These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13  Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
