Our Faith Isn’t ripe

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound! See? Just no way of ever explaining what it is. Just take my word if you believe me. Be sure to burn every bridge of the world behind you.

Before we move on further on into this Message, I would like to just stop for a moment and ask you all, what this means. To burn every bridge of the world behind you. What does it mean to burn every bridge. What do you do when you burn a bridge. Now, you know that what he is saying here is not a literal thing thhat you are supposed to do. HE is not telling you to go out and burn every bridge you can find. Neither is he even suggesting that you burn even one physical bridge. But what this expression is telling us is that we are to leave the world and the things of the world behind.

Now here is the way this expression came to being. During the great wars men would often be counted upon to do great exploits for their countries. Sometimes they would have to go into the enemies territory and perform their mission inside the enemies gates. When the mission was complete, they were to leave there and burn every bridge behind them. This would not allow them to be followed. In other instances, this metaphor was used to express the brave  men who would have to go on  a great mission, one that was so important and many times so trying that the men were often tempted to turn back. In order to prevent them from turning back they were ordered to destroy any brdge they crossed over, any vehicle of excape that would enable them to change their mind and turn away from their goal.

I believe this latter meaning is what brother Branham is referring to here, when he says we should “Be sure to burn every bridge of the world behind you.” Now is this part of the Message?  Which is the shout?

1 Thess 4: 14  18  Shout = Kalusma = military command. The Lord descends with a military command.

Remember the Angel of the Lord and brother Branham watching the preview of the saints. A mlitary prossession, singing onward Christian soldiers. “ Stay in Line!”

1 Peter 1: 3 - 7,  Wuest = epochal and strategic = startegem = strategy

Luke 14: 25 - 33

2 Cor 10: 1 - 6

Exodus 14: 1 - all

Joshua  8: 1 - all

Heb 10: 38 - 39

Gal 5 : 1 - all

Heb 11: 1 -   Moses:  God made it possible for Him to go on...How..He killed a man , burned his bridge & had to flee  Joseph: God made it possible for Him to go on... through him in prison, used a friends wife and false accusation and jealousy in his brothers to burn his bridges.

Abraham:   Start walking. Where? Don’t worry about it, start walking. He was ready to burn every bridge ar God’s command. Even his own son he was willing to offer back to God, not only his blood, but ashes also.

Daniel : God burned his bridges. Born in captivity. Through him in a den of lions

Br. Branham =  God kept honing Him until all his bridges were burned and there  was no turning back.

What about you?  Joey? Where could you go back to? A job, it’s gone. A home, it’s  gone. A church? It’s gone. Press towaard the mark of the High calling.

I believe the church is beginning to hear the Message, and beginning to understand. But friends, listen, we've got to lay in the Presence of the Son, we've got to be ripened. Our--our faith isn't ripe. Intellectually we're hearing the Message that God has give us, and seeing the signs that He showed us, and proving it by the Bible as that; but, oh, how the church needs to lay in His Presence till it tenders up in the heart, gets sweet in the Spirit so that it can bathe down. Sometimes in speaking the Message, you get harsh, have to break it in like that, because you've got to clinch a nail to make it hold. But when the Church once gets It, the Elected is called out and separated (then in the Presence of God), I know it'll be something like the people was there when it takes its Rapture.
