God’s Reflectors the Prophets

For the past few weeks we held a mini series within this series from God's Only Provided Place of Worship on the false doctrines floating about in the Message which came about as a result of a lack of understanding on Godhead. This morning I would like to move ahead with this tremendous Message of Brother Branham's  as we begin to look at paragraph 265.

265 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M

Now, quickly, let us look just real fast now, and we will go in about... in ten minutes we will be gone, the Lord willing. (266)Now let us look at some that has been quickened into this house of God. Of their age... (267)  Enoch! (in ten minutes we will go, if you can just suffer that much longer). Look, Enoch was the Living Word of God of his age, he was a prophet.   (268) A prophet is God's reflector. How many knows that? The--the reflector doesn't reflect itself, the--the reflector isn't the reflection. There has to be something strike the reflector to make it reflect. So a prophet is a chosen vessel of God that cannot reflect nothing at all but he's in direct line with that reflection, God, to reflect the image of Christ the Word. See, nothing else can do it. You are a reflector, that's the reason the prophet had to eat the book. That's the reason he had to eat the scroll. He had to reflect that Word for that age. You got it?

Now Webster tells us a reflector is simply a person or thing that reflects. But  that definition doesn't really help us to understand what a reflector is all about, now does it? But it points us to the fact that as Brother Branham said, A reflector does not give off it's own light, but reflects the light of another. Brother Branham said, "the reflector doesn't reflect itself, the--the reflector isn't the reflection. There has to be something strike the reflector to make it reflect.  And that is what Webster says, a reflector is simply a person or thing that reflects.

Last Sunday we examined what it takes to make something reflect and we found out that it has to do with a preordained makeup. God is Light, and He has Appeared to us in the form of a Pillar of Fire which is actually a veil for the Word of God. Yet the Prophet of God has to be made in such a way as to be able to reflect this Pillar of Fire, thus reflecting The Word of God back to the people without reflecting any other light, including his own light.  And remember, we are born with 4 lights of our own.

37  UNCERTAIN.SOUND  JEFF.IN  V-16 N-3  60-1218

Now, when we were made, if when we were made. And they just found out, recently, that your body is full of light. X-ray proves that. The x-ray does not have any light of its own. It's your light that it uses. You're born with four rays. After a little while, say twenty, twenty-five, one ray goes out; and thirty-five, another; or forty, another one goes out; and finally when you get pass about sixty-five, you're living on your last ray. And every time you take an x-ray picture, you are tearing them rays down. That's the reason you don't have no more... you stick these kids' feet in them machines, because it was just tearing the rays right out of their little bodies. And that's cosmic light that's in you, that you are made up, full of light cells. Now, that's cosmic light.

269-270  GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M

Notice Enoch, God's perfect reflector in type. When God was through with him, He just translated him, took him up. The mechanics that he had reflected become dynamics with the Spirit, and took him up.

Same in the days of Elijah. Elijah, even to his bones, where that reflection... Reflector of God in his body being made manifest the Word of God. They laid a dead man on it, he sparked to life again. We are flesh and bone of Him, as long as we are the Bride of Christ. Do you believe that? All right. He died for us, and we died to ourselves and are buried in His Name, that we would "no more be of the world, but in Him," of which both the family in Heaven is named after Jesus Christ. That's [Ephesians 1:21] For both Heaven... the family in Heaven. What's the family in Heaven named? Jesus. What's the family on earth named? Well, that's the house of God where the Blood's at. Is that right? That's the door, that's the gate, that's the place He put His Name, and the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us. It's the Word reflecting and sparking off the age that you're living in.

That's what He was, that's what Moses was, that's what Jacob was, that's what the rest of them was, sparking off that Word of God, the reflector that God was reflecting Himself. And come to that perfect image of God, Jesus Christ, God's Masterpiece; was struck that He might take the rest of them for a Bride that's been reflecting Him.

Now, I want you to notice that Brother Branham is telling us here that a prophet of God is not only a reflector of the Word of God but Brother Branham actually gets a little more specific in this paragraph and says,  " Elijah, even to his bones, where that reflection... Reflector of God in his body being made manifest the Word of God" then he says, "It's the Word reflecting and sparking off the age that you're living in. That's what He was, that's what Moses was, that's what Jacob was, that's what the rest of them was, sparking off that Word of God, the reflector that God was reflecting Himself."

POINT # 1) God predestinates a Word for each age.

POINT # 2) God predestinates a man to reflect that Word for each age.

POINT # 3) These men of God's choosing  are used by God to spark off all others who are ordained to Life in their age. (And they do so by perfectly reflecting the Word which contains Life.)

Now for the next few minutes, I would like to focus on these three points.

POINT # 1) God predestinates a Word for each age.

Now what do we mean by God predestinates a Word for an Age. First of all what is an age any way? Webster says an age is a period in time characterized by some person or by some outstanding event, feature or influence.  And so to begin with, we see that an age must have an identifiable characteristic whether it be a person or an event or influence. Some one or some thing that influences the people of that generation. Now this is important because God told us that He will do nothing except He first reveals it through His Servants the Prophets. ( Amos 3: 7) And further more, we read in

[Deut 29:29] The secret [things belong] unto the LORD our God: but those [things which are] revealed [belong] unto us and to our children for ever, that [we] may do all the words of this law.  Now here we find two things, 1st of all is this,  (what God has not revealed to us belongs only to Him). In other words, as long as God has not revealed it to us, it does not belong to us and therefore we are not accountable for it either.  But what He has revealed to us belongs to us, and the ownership of it is actually transferred to us at the time of It's Revealing. Then if it belongs to us we are also accountable for it as good stewardship would dictate.

Now we could go on and on about what the Word for this season is that God's prophet was to reflect to us but I don't want to divert our attention from this theme here and so I will just list a few.

God has come down with a Shout or a Message to do the following:

1) To gather together His Elect Seed from the four corners of the earth

2) To change the Living

3) To raise the Dead

4) To take us up and out of this earth

5) to Judge and burn the earth over readying it for a millennium return

Now this is just a short list and of each of these fazes we could actually develop another list of the Works of the Holy Spirit in this Hour in which we live. But for now it will have to suffice. Now we read from  [Deut 29:29] The secret [things belong] unto the LORD our God: but those [things which are] revealed [belong] unto us and to our children for ever, that [we] may do all the words of this law.

And we said, 1st of all,  (what God has not revealed to us belongs only to Him). Secondly, we find that there must be a Prophet on the scene to handle this transfer of  Revelation from God to us as He indicated in [Amos 3: 7] Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Now a secret is something that is not revealed, understood, or explained: in other words it is a mystery, and is hidden and has not been made known. But when the secret is told openly, is no longer a mystery, nor is it  any longer a secret, but it is a Word that has been declared openly. In fact the antonym of secret is open and obvious. I hope you can see the importance of God predestining a man to say only what He is told to say. To reflect only what God shows Him to reflect. Because after all, every man has four lights of his own and if we are to receive Light from God and it must come through a man ( a Prophet of God) then this man must possess an ability to be able to reflect God's Light without adding his own light to it.

Now this light we are speaking is word which is also Life. Jesus said in [John 6:63] "My words are spirit and they are Life." And we find in [ John 1: 1 & 4] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

So we see here that this thing that was with God even in God identified God. And it is called His Word. Then in verse 4 John tells us that the Word is Life. He says Life was in Him and God shown this light to men but they could not comprehend it, which means that it remained a mystery to them.

[John 1:5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Men were not capable of receiving this Light which contained the Life of God without a true reflector to reflect is first to them.

POINT # 2) God predestinates a man to reflect that Word for each age.  Now this is more important than we give credit for, and I see a trend away from this in those who claim to believe the Message of Malachi 4. It is True that our emphasis should be on the True Light and not the reflector as perse'. However, if not for the role of the reflector you and I would not see the True Light, because God is Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. So you must have the Truth or True Light which can only come through an ordained and predestined reflector which the Word of God declares to be a Prophet.  And so we see John explain this in the following verse, [John 1:  6 - 8 ]There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe.  He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light. And so here we find that God had to send someone to bear witness or reflect the True Light. We are told that although John was not the True Light, he was sent as a reflector of that Light so that all who were predestined to receive the True Light might be sparked off or quickened.

[John 1 : 9 ] [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  Now, we can't stop here because this word lighteth is a Greek word which means to enlighten or give light to and comes from a root word which {Phos} which means to shine or make manifest and is actually translated as Light or Fire. So you can see the ministry of the Prophet is to first recognize the Presence of God or  The True Light, and then when He begins to declare this True Light, which is the Life of God made known, it then has a quickening effect upon the believer and causes them to become what they were ordained to become.

[John 1:12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Now this power is not as though you suddenly possess some inner strength to do something become something which you aren't. But it means you are given the legal authority to claim what is yours by inheritance.

Now, this is an important distinction because too many Sons of God do not step forward to claim what is rightfully yours by birthright. We sit back and expect God to spoon feed us and make every move for us. We want to be coddled and pampered and somehow be called an overcomer without overcoming anything. But this power that is given us is authority only. Just like the Policeman out in traffic. He has no real power. No matter how many times he were to step forward and exercise his authority, if the people behind the wheels did not respect that authority the man would never be able to stop traffic. And if you do not respect the Authority of the Word of God no matter how much God tells you that He has given you this Power or authority to become Sons, unless you step forward to receive it and then exercise it, this authority will do you no good.  It's just like people who try this diet and that diet to lose weight. Unless they really have the desire to do so, and really want to lose weight,  they will never lose because they really don't want it bad enough. But if their doctor tells them they are dying and have just so long to live, then they might change their mind and suddenly find that they do have the willpower after all. The same with smokers. How many people have claimed to be addicted and when they are told that they are dying, they suddenly find the willpower to quit that nasty habit.

[John 1:13]  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Now this tells us that this power we receive has nothing to do with our willing it. God said it and it's yours. But remember this, although it has been spoken, it has also got to be revealed to you. And the moment that it becomes revealed to you then it is yours. The authority to become is transferred from God to you. We are talking authority. If the policeman questions the Laws ability to give him the authority, he will never use the power behind that authority. And if you do not claim the authority that God gives you, then you will always go through life a defeated spiritual wimp. Which brings us to point #3.

POINT # 3) These men of God's choosing  are used by God to spark off all others who are ordained to Life in their age. (And they do so by perfectly reflecting the Word which contains Life.)  Now we already read [John 1:12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: And we talked of the power or authority to become Sons. Now this doesn't mean that you will become what you are not. But you are already Sons and since you are a Son, then you are given the authority to exercise your Inheritance rights. [ 1 John 3: 1 - 2 ] Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: ( why should we be called sons ofd God?) let's continue on... Beloved, now are we the sons of God, ( because now we are already sons) although it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear,( at His appearing)  we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. If you have this hope in you, then you will begin to purge your brain of any thoughts contrary to this hope. And what does that do?

[ John 1:14 ] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)  full of grace and truth. Now I want you to notice that there are two parts to this scripture here. #1) The Word became flesh which was the very Life in God taking on the form of a Son. And #2) we are to behold His Glory which is full of Grace and Truth. Now watch what happens when we behold His Glory.  We already read in [1 John 3] that when He appears or becomes visible we are to be like Him because we shall see Him as he really is. He will manifest to us in His True character. But I want you to see what happens to you and I as His Elect Seed when we fix our attention on Him. It will actually have an effect upon us as well. [ 2 Cor 3: 18 ] But we all, with open face( that is an unveiled face)  beholding as in a glass ( which is a mirror, and what do we see in this mirror?)  the glory of the Lord, ( and what is the Glory of the Lord? This word Glory is the Greek word Doxa which is the mind of God expressed in judgment, opinion or assessment, and what happens when you see the mind of God openly exposed to you?)  are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord."  Notice that it takes the Spirit of the Lord to do this, and yet we read in verse 17 that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty. Why? Because when you are being led by God's Spirit through His Word you fear no man, but God Himself. And you answer to no one but the Giver of Life.

Moses was in Him. Joshua was in Him. And if you are in Him, you was in Him before the foundation of the world, the family of God; you suffered with Him, you died with Him, you went to the cross with Him, you raised with Him; and now you're still with Him, setting in Heavenly places, reflecting the Message of the age to the world, the Light of the world. "Ye are the Light of the world," but if it's hid by a denominational bushel basket, how are they going to see It? For your traditions, you make the Light of no effect! By trying.. You denominationals, trying to keep the Light away from your church; you won't go in, neither will you let them. Amen.

Let's just stop. My, I got too much. No, we--we could go on... Oh, my! Five minutes we got.
