Spiritual Diet

Before we begin I want to review Wednesday Evening's message because many of you were missing for various reasons and I feel that this Message is too important for you to just pass by. We began by reviewing pp. 288 where brother Branham said, .. [288] Dear God, we thank You that we have had our spiritual diet. We thank You, Lord, that the vitamin of the Word grows sons of God. It does not affect on any other type of character, only on sons and daughters of God. So we thank You for It.

We focused our thoughts on this statement here that the Word of God is only meant to have a certain effect upon certain people. when he said, "the vitamin of the Word grows sons of God. It does not affect on any other type of character, only on sons and daughters of God." Then we went to the Scripture to show you that the Word of God must first come to the Mind, before it settles down into the Soul. So what we looked at is a Mental faith that when anointed by the Holy Spirit, it moves down into your Soul and becomes a Spiritual Faith. In fact Brother Branham said in the Message Blasphemous Names , pg. 23, Coming to your mental faith, right here, comes the Holy Spirit, coming down into your mental faith making it a Spiritual Faith. Then the Spiritual Faith only recognizes the Word."

Now I hope you can see how important it is to first have a mental faith or revelation of the Word of God. For if there is no mental recognition, then there is nothing for God to anoint.

Þ In [John 3: 21] we read, He that doeth Truth cometh to the Light, that his deeds may be made manifest that they have their source in God." The Seed of God must come to the light in order to manifest themselves.

Þ But, in [John 3: 20] we see that those who are unbelievers will not come to the Light, and it tells us why! For every one that doeth evil hates the Light, neither will come to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved. And as you know by our study that this reproof is actually an exposing of the unbelief. So it should read, For every one that doeth evil hates the Light, neither will come to the Light, lest his works should be exposed for what they really are". So we see that people who turn down the Light do not do so out of simple ignorance but willful ignorance. They turn down the Truth because of what the Word shows them about themselves.

Þ In [John 10:32] Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do you stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Their complaint had nothing to do with the works of God, but it was His Doctrine they could not take. So they did not turn it down from an ignorance of what He said, for they must have known what He said in order to turn against Him. When it comes right down to it, they didn't understand what He was saying although they heard what He said. So the knowledge they had was not a complete knowledge, as thought they really knew, but it is a knowledge based upon misconception and wrong understanding.

'A DECEIVED CHURCH' "But as Israel was bound by their Kings that they could not follow the real King; and the real King, when He came, they didn't recognize Him. So is it today, oh, Lord. The King of Glory has appeared in the form of the Holy Ghost and Lord, They don't know it. They don't recognize it. They're so organized so tight, that they do not understand it, because It's not in their organization. Lord this is a work of the devil that's done this to the people. May the Samson of God, may the True in heart, Those who are longing and crying and pleading and holding on, may they stay with It, Lord, until this new crop grows out. Until there comes forth a joy in Zion, and there comes forth a group that can recognize and understand. That can see the Messiah and the hidden power that's hid from the world, that they will not understand now. Grant, Lord, that they'll see this, for we ask It in Jesus name, a-man."

So you see back when he was preaching this Message the people were blinded by their organizations. But we are promised that it will not always be so. That one day there will rise up a new crop that will believe and understand that God has come down. And when this new crop grows up there will come forth a joy in Zion and the hidden power of God that is hid from the world will take over the Bride and as she is changed in her thinking first, she will then be changed in her body, and readied for the going home.

Þ In [ Isaiah 65:2 ] God said, " I have spread out My hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts. And So we see God using an illustration of how He held out His hands like one nailed to the cross, and they would not accept His way of salvation because they had a better way, they thought, one which was simply a works program which God said I hate. He said, they walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts. So this let's you know that we could never please God with our own thinking.

Þ [ Isaiah 55: 6-8] Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near, ( that's His Presence). Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him turn unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, Saith the Lord. For as the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall My Word be that goeth forth out of My Mouth: It shall not return unto Me void, but It shall accomplish that which I please, and It shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent It."

So we are looking at a condition of the mind. God has come in this hour to change the mind of man to receive His own mind. Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus."

Þ In [ 2 Thess 1: 10] Paul tells us that the very mind of God will come into the Elect at the end-time. God wants us to see Him as He really is and there is know way we can do this without seeing Him in His Word.

Þ In [ 1 John 3: 2] we are told that it is not a matter of us becoming what we aren't. We are already Sons, and because we are Sons we are to be like our Father, even to the point that the same world order that did not receive Him will not receive you as well, so you might as well get used to it. But notice, we are told that when we see Him at His Appearing, we shall be like Him, for in the seeing Him, something happens to us that brings us into the same image.

Þ In [ 1 Cor 13: 12] We read that one day we shall see Him face to face and when we do we shall know even as we are known.

Þ Now in [ 2 Cor 5: 16] we are told that we do not know Christ after the flesh any more.

So then in what way will we know Him. And if we can't see Him in the Flesh, then how do we see Him in order to know Him?

Þ [ 2 Cor 3: 18] Tells us that when we look into the mirror of the Word, it is here that we will see Him. And then when we see Him in the Word, we shall become like Him and be changed from Glory to Glory and from Image to Image. Now, remember this Glory is the Greek Word Doxa which is the opinion, Assessment and Judgment of God Himself. So what we are seeing is the very thoughts of God in His Word. And when we look into this Word, we are staring into the face of God Himself. For a man's thoughts are expressed through His mouth and His mouth is part of His face. And we know that God's mouthpiece is His Prophets. So when we See God in action through His End-time Prophet, we actually see God ( The Word) manifested in flesh.

And so what we are looking at is a mental condition or revelation that comes into the Elect by the Holy Ghost Himself. In [Ephesians 1: 17] it is called the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the Knowledge of Him. In [ 1 John 2: 19 - 21] we see that God has anointed us to understand His Word. Again, in verse 27 that it is this anointing that teaches us. Now what is this anointing that has so much to do with the mind? The word here is Chrisma and comes from the root word Chrio, which is used on God's own Spirit in the form of an anointing which we find was even upon Christ Himself as we see in [ Luke 4: 18 & Acts 10: 38]. In [ 2 Cor 1: 21] We are told that only God Himself can give us this Anointing, and in [Hebrews 1: 19] we see that it is this Same God Who is our Father as well as Jesus Father Who actually anointed Jesus as well. That is why we are told in [ 1 Peter 1: 13] that we are to gird up the loins of our mind at the Revelation of Jesus Christ. And in [ 1 Cor 1: 8] we are told that the reason for this is so we do not come behind in any spiritual understanding at the Revelation or Unveiling of Christ.

Þ In [ 1 Thess 4: 13] Paul said, I would not want you to be ignorant as others are who have no hope.

So, we see that it is ignorance that breeds despair and a lack of Hope. Because, as Paul said, in [ 1 Cor 13: 13] that hope comes out of Revelation and brings forth Love which is an outward manifestation of the hope we have due to the Revelation we possess. But it all starts in the mind. Brother Branham said it starts with a mental faith which is the Word of God presented to our minds. Then when it moves down into our soul it becomes a Spiritual Revelation which can never be moved. Then you know that you have it. That is why brother Branham began this great sermon by saying,

Þ pp [ 40 ] I believe the church is beginning to hear the Message, and beginning to understand. But friends, listen, we've got to lay in the Presence of the Son, we've got to be ripened. Our--our faith isn't ripe. Intellectually we're hearing the Message that God has give us, and seeing the signs that He showed us, and proving it by the Bible as that; but, oh, how the church needs to lay in His Presence till it tenders up in the heart, gets sweet in the Spirit so that it can bathe down. Sometimes in speaking the Message, you get harsh, have to break it in like that, because you've got to clinch a nail to make it hold. But when the Church once gets It, the Elected is called out and separated (then in the Presence of God), I know it'll be something like the people was there when it takes its Rapture.

So we see that it must first come to our intellect first and then it will move on down into our heart and soul and take over the very ambitions and desires of your heart. That's why the scripture tells us, "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." In [ Luke 6: 45] we find the Scripture tell us that our hearts will only reflect the real treasure that lays inside and it will show in what we talk about, and as the Indian Chief said, "the things that I feed the most is what's a winning." And thus will also with God's Elect and also the world as well. What you are feeding upon will reflect your Eternal destination. God's Elect will hold His Word as their treasure, and the church world will hold their Creeds as their treasure. Now , in reading the pp. 289. Of God's Only Provided Place of Worship we see how this all ties together.

[ 289] Seeing, Lord, that the mental conditions, the nervous age that the people's living in, is driving them out of their minds; to exactly fulfill what the Scripture said and promised, the great hideous things would come upon the earth; like locusts, to haunt the women that cut their hair, they'll have long hair like a woman. And different hideous sights that they'll be able to see, Lord, in that mental, deluded condition they're in, and then screaming for the rocks and the mountains. Women who would mother dogs and cats, and not raise children to honor You. Those that You did give children to and they did conceive them, turn them loose on the streets to do as they want. No wonder You said, Lord, when You were going to the cross, "Then they'll begin to cry for the rocks and the mountains to fall on them." Notice, Brother Branham let's us know that we are now living in the age that will see a mental condition sweep over the people of this world and they will imagine great hideous sites upon the earth.

Þ [ 2 Thess 2: 11] Delusion ( a mental condition where in one wanders and strays from a right mind) They receive this because they do not have this Love for the Truth. You've got to love it!

Making a strong delusion, as the Bible said it would (II Thessalonians), how this man of sin would come into existence and set in the temple of God, showed himself he was God and caused the people to go into strong delusion to believe a lie; and believe it will be damned by it. That's the same thing he did to Eve, give her... Never--never told her the Word wasn't right, but give her a strong delusion that she believed a lie. The spirit of delusion is of the devil, devils now working in the children of disobedient. Disobedient to what? What's the children of this day disobedient to? Like Eve was at the beginning, the true Word of God. Right. Now, if you would want to get that, let's turn to it, Ephesians 2, just a minute, 'cause it seems good that we--I stop just a minute if you're in no big hurry and read some of this.[ Ephesians 2:1 to 2]: And you has he quickened, who were once dead in trespasses and sin: Wherein in times past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that NOW worketh in the children of disobedience: (Children of disobedience!) And if the antichrist beginning there in the infancy of disobedience, what will it be when it heads up in the person of the antichrist? How deceptive it'll be. How much more powerful of deception could a--an adult give to the world than an infant child? And it said, "The spirit of--of delusion now working in the children of disobedient," disobedient to the Word.

If the world would stand another fifty years, the whole world would be totally insane. Look at the sanity from forty--from twenty years ago to this time. See?

And we also can look around and see that the way that the human mind is leaving the people. That, we--we can't stay too much longer, we'd be in a complete insane institution, the whole world would be. See? So we--we're at the end time.

Þ [ Rev 3: 14-20 ] Blind, naked and don't even know it. They're not in their right mind! When a person comes to their right mind, they put their clothes back on and stop acting like animals.

Just think if a man or woman was on the street, wretched, blind, poor, miserable, and naked, and you could tell them that they were naked, and they would listen to you, but what if they are naked and they don't believe it? What a mental condition that is!

Notice, the sons of God saw the daughters of man, not daughters of God, the daughters of man, that they were beautiful. And it caused the sons of God to fall into this delusion, and took them kind of women and married them. And it brought a age of prostitution, just like it is today, like it was in Sodom, like it's predicted to be today, that when man and women of this day swap wives. If they don't like this wife, they--they go over to Reno, Nevada, and get married and get a--divorce that one and marry again in a--fifteen minutes. And women so pretty that they're almost irresistible. And what is it? The devil! See, Satan's still in beauty! Notice, notice! That sin was never forgiven them. That pretty, scientific age was the very evil age that God destroyed off of the face of the earth, that pretty scientific age. Jesus said it'll be that again just before the coming of the Son of man. That right?

The sign that made old Legion put on his clothes. You remember, a person that takes off their clothes are crazy. See? How about a woman? Legion was crazy; he stripped his clothes off of him. God took His Power and made him put his clothes on, he was clothed, in his right mind, setting down at the feet of Jesus.

Listen! There was one person in the Bible that stripped their clothes off; that was Legion; he was out of his mind. When Jesus found him and give him his right mind, he put on his clothes. That's right! What makes you strip your clothes off? The devil. That's right! Then say they're not neurotics? Start down the street here and drive four city blocks without seeing a nude woman and come back and tell me. See? All right! Find out. Then you say they're not neurotics? Then what's wrong? They can't be in their right mind. A right-minded woman wouldn't do that. She's got better sense. She knows what she's putting herself out. A bunch of lust devils out there are just dirty, filthy, sloppy, drunk men, murders and everything else... And you say... The world is drinking more liquor now. They spend more money for liquor in the United States, than they spend for groceries. I think it's... I forget how many times more the alcohol debt cost each year in the nation than it did. And what does alcoholism do? Sends you to the insane institution.

Þ [ Romans 1: 27 ] Look what happens when you leave the Word for other things!

Look at this teen-age insane! Why, we had a... I told you the other day, they was taking an analysis there of the schools in Arizona where I live, and eighty percent of the children in school is mentally retarded. What will their children be? We can't have another generation. We're at the end. Jesus said these things would come. Look at all the televisions and things getting these fictitious things in order. It'll come a time, I predict, that people will be completely, totally insane, the world will be. The Bible speaks of such hideous sights as they show in movies today of some prehistoric creature's age, that's lived in the earth for so many thousands and millions of years, hatch and come forth to some... That's just a minor thing, to what's going to happen. When hell is opened and the Devil comes out with all of his mysterious things, of women... or locust with hair like women, and teeth like lions. Why, the world will be completely, totally insane. It's not but just about one degree from it now.

And no man is perfectly in his right mind until he's found Jesus Christ in his life. He's--he isn't. Now, that's bad, but that's the truth; we must face facts.

Christ never makes you lose your mind; He gives you your mind, after you have lost it. It's the Devil that take--makes you lose your mind. It's a demon. Look at the--the maniac of Gadara. See? When he met Jesus, he was restored to his mind, his right mind. And a man without his right mind, no matter how much intellect he has, he's still not sane yet. A man without knowing Christ is nothing more, hardly, in himself, than a brute. He will... For passions and lusts he'd throw a baby out of a mothers arms and ravish her, because of his own beastly lust. That's right. Certainly, he will.

You're not mentally right until you have been borned again. A man is not in his right condition until he's borned again. He's a beast at heart, until he has been borned of the Spirit of God, and the spirit of nature is taken out of him, and the Spirit of God takes It's place to rule. That leads him and guides him into all truth and light. That's right. And if a man does not do that, knowing without that he's hell bound, there's something wrong with his mind.

Þ [ 2 Tim 4: 1 ] the root word for this delusion comes from a noun (planos )meaning to be a deceiver, somone who deceives. ( a vagabond, wanderer or tramp)

O God, let me go, Lord. Don't leave me behind, Jesus. Let me go with You, Father. I don't want to stay here on this earth to watch these tribulations coming on. I don't want to stay here in this insanity. I don't want to stand here when hideous sights... the people losing their mind. We look at man trying to act like beasts and look like beasts; and the women trying to look like animals, with the paints on their face. Knowing that these things are predicted to happen, that the thing will, they'll go so insane till locusts will rise up with hair like women to haunt the women; and teeth like lions, and things that You've said, the mental condition of the people will be completely gone. We see it in the making right now, Lord. Help us! Restore us to the sane mind of Christ Jesus our Lord.

Þ { James 5: 20 ] The use of this word is shown here to tie heavily in with the actions that stem from having a deluded mind.

Þ [ 2 Peter 2: 18 - 21 ] verse 19 overcome means to be forced into an inferior position by this one.

Þ [ 2 Peter 3: 14 - 18 ] notice the being led away by the error of the wicked, to depart from the Faith.

The Mind of God . So if you leave the only Right Mind, then you can not possibly be in a right mind.

Þ [ 1 John 4: 6 ] The Spirit of delusion will not hear the Truth from God's Elect Ministry

Þ [ Jude 1: 11 ] And what was the eror of Balaam. Money, popularity and women.

Warning us, the time is at hand! Believers should be separating themselves from the things of the world, the cares of the world. That's the reason I hammer at women, and so forth, the way I have. And, then, separate yourself from these TV programs! Separate yourself from this Hollywood evangelism! Come back to deepness and sincerity! We stand in the pulpit, and jump up-and-down, and laugh and holler, and carry on, and women dance over the floors, clothes on them real skin tight, and all kinds of jewelry and stuff hanging on, with bobbed hair, and some of them with makeup on. And they got an intellectual pastor there, a preacher that can put the word together so perfect. That isn't it. We don't come to the altar of God, laughing, carrying on, and cutting up. We come to the altar, with sincerity and deepness, because there we are dying. You don't go, to death, laughing and jollying, if you got your right mind. It's an insane person that does that.
