Remembrance

Þ [ 1 Cor 11: 24-25] (read) Let's bow our head in prayer.

"This do in remembrance of Me." Remembrance of Me. Remembrance, He is talking about doing something that would cause you to remember Him. So He is talking about memory. A memory that is filled with Him. Webster says Memory refers to: the ability or power for retaining or reviving in your mind, past thoughts, images and ideas; Remembrance refers to the act or process of having such events or things come to the mind again. In other words, a revival in the mind. So we see Paul and thus Jesus was addressing the minds of the people here when he said, "This do in remembrance of Me."

Now, what if there were no connection between the event and the mind. What if there were no relevant thoughts in the mind to connect the events that have taken place. Then, the mind would be said to be void of understanding. A vacuum as it were. But God has promised to give us a sound mind whereby we may worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. And remember, you can not worship God outside of Truth, for "Grace and Truth came by Jesus" and He said, "I am the Way, The Truth and The Life.". And the Truth must be anointed by the Spirit of God or it will not drop from your mind into your heart and soul.

Þ [ John 14: 26 ] but the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

Þ [ 1 John 2: 21] "we have an unction or anointing from the Holy One that we might know all things." So we see the purpose of the anointing of God upon us to bring an understanding to us.

Þ [ Ephesians 1: 17] we are promised that "God will bring with Him a certain anointing that is called the Spirit of wisdom and understanding in the knowledge of Him." And in speaking of this Brother Branham said from Seventy Weeks of Daniel's pg. 15, The Spirit of wisdom comes into the Church to make known to the Church by the Revelation of the Holy Ghost, bringing the Church in and revealing what day that we're living in. Just the same as Gabriel come to Daniel, the Holy Spirit comes to the Church in the last days to reveal these great, deep, secret things. Do you understand now?" So you see, the Spirit of God will come to the Church and bring with Him Revelation which will anoint the Church to understand the day and the hour and His purpose in being here among us.

That is why we read in [ 2 Peter 3:4] at the end time men will say, Where is the promise of his Parousia, His Presence? For all things seem to be continuing as they were since the last of the Apostolic Fathers fell asleep. But the reason they will say where is His Presence that He promised, is because they are not aware that He is here. They are saying where is it? I don't see it? I don't perceive it? And the reason they are not aware that He is here is because they do not have this remembrance, this quickening in the memory that Jesus and Paul had spoken of. They are like the people that Jesus spoke of in [Matthew 13] "who seeing, see not, and in hearing, they hear not." Actually it is not as though they are hard of hearing, but as Jesus Himself put it, "they hear, but do not understand, they see, but do not perceive."

Þ In [ Mark 4: 11] Jesus said, unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables, (in illustrations and story telling). Why? That in seeing they may see and yet not perceive; and in hearing they may hear and not understand; And why is that? Because if they do see and perceive and if they do hear and understand, then God would be obligated to convert them and forgive them as He has committed to do unto His own children. You see? Brother Branham told us we must preach This Message as though it is for every one, but all the while knowing that it wasn't meant for every one. Redemption means to redeem back or bring back to it's original condition. But what if these people were only in the permissive will of God and not actually in the loins of God's thinking before the world ever began.

Þ That's why in [Ephesians 1: 3-4] we find that we were chosen in God before the world was ever framed and in [Romans 8: 29 ] All that He did foreknow, He did also predestinate, to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the eldest Son among many brethren. And then in verse [30] he continues, Moreover, whom He did predestinate, them He also called; and whom He called, them He also justified:( as Brother Branham said, you never did do it in the first place, that's justification. If you did do it then it would be forgiveness for having done it, but here we are totally justified as though we never did do it because this body is not the body you were meant to have. It was forced upon you by the sin in the garden where the nature of God Seed was hybrid with the nature of the serpent's seed. And so we read in [ Romans 8} and whom He justified, them He also ( past tense) Glorified. So it is already a finished work. And this word Glorified is the Greek word Doxa which means "the opinion, assessment and judgment."

So we see that we are already ordained to have the mind of Christ. That is why Brother Branham could say in prophecy, "The Bride will have thus Saith the Lord, (which is the Mind of Christ) or she will keep still." Because remember, as a man thinketh in His heart so is he and out from the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak. So we see, thus Saith the Lord is what the Lord has thus said. And if the Lord spoke it, He first had to think it. Then from the abundance of the thinking His mouth spoke it. And who is the mouth of God? His Prophets! As God promised through Moses when He said, I the Lord will raise up a Prophet among you of your brethren and I will speak to the people through this Prophet, and when I speak to this Prophet, I will speak mouth to mouth. So then if the Bride will speak it, it is only because she has heard it from God's Prophet and she understood it and the abundance of her heart overflowed with the very thoughts of God and thus it spilled over and came up out of her mouth.

And of course from the mouth it goes forth into words. So her words then are only a reflection of the thoughts that she has within her heart. And that is why the memory is so important as Paul spoke of here in [1 Cor 11]. And I think in this hour when the very mind of God is coming into the Bride, it is interesting to see that Alzheimer's disease is also on the increase among the human population. And what is Alzheimer's disease but a form of amnesia. And what is amnesia but a total loss of the memory caused by shock, injury or repression.

And we know that Laodicea is represented by a people who have gone completely insane and have lost their ability to think. They are Blind, Miserable and naked and don't even know it. They have completely lost touch with reality, and are living in a condition of Amnesia. Spiritual Amnesia. They are groping about in darkness not knowing who they are and where they are going. You know I was reading an article about a recent study that was just published. Back in the sixties the educators of America thought that kids were struggling in school because they did not have a high esteem of themselves. And so they set out to try and elevate the esteem of the children. Even to the point where they developed outcome based education thinking that you teach children to conform and keep all the children the same, because you don't want to let them think that one child may be smarter than another. Oh, no, you mustn't do that! And so they developed this outcome based education that will only teach you as far as you think you can go. And the results have been horrific to the point that 55% of the nations High school graduation classes do not have a ninth grade equivalency.

Look at this teen-age insane!... and eighty percent of the children in school is mentally retarded. What will their children be? We can't have another generation. We're at the end. Jesus said these things would come.... Why, the world will be completely, totally insane. It's not but just about one degree from it now. And what is doing it? They said the kids do not have enough self esteem. Hogwash! The kids were just lazy. And so what did they do, they set out to elevate these poor children's self esteem. And what did it produce? Kids who think they are above the law. Kids who kill for your tennis shoes.

Kids who think so highly of themselves, that they think they can do anything and get away with it. And so finally the studies show what they have created out their amongst the public school kids. And what does the Scripture tell us? Pride cometh before destruction! There you are! And what has destroyed our schools and the children of this nation? Pride! High self esteem. When Nebuchadnezzar had exalted himself so high that he called for the people to worship Him, God humbled him by causing him to lose his mind too and to think he was an animal. The scripture tells us he received the heart of an animal which is the mind of an animal. Beastly in his thinking. And if that is not the condition of the people today, then tell me what is? He thought he was an animal and so he acted like one. Then can you blame the kids for acting like a bunch of animals when they are taught that rubbish in school, that they descended from apes.

In [ 2 Timothy 1: 7] The Apostle Paul said, "But God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind "

In [ 2 Peter 1: 12] We find the Apostle Peter as well declaring, "Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you in always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and be established in the present truth."

Notice here that Peter says He is not telling us things we have not already heard and that we do not already know. He says, "Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and be established in the present truth." He says, though you already know these things, it is my intention to stir your minds toward the remembrance of these things that you might be able to see the present truth in light of those things which have already taken place. In other words, Alpha must be repeated in the Omega. And what took place then in the Alpha will surely repeat in the Omega. And if you know what took place in the Alpha , you will be able to identify what is taking place in the Omega because the memory of Alpha will come forward in your mind when you see Omega, and thus the Present truth will become established also in your thinking, because your understanding of what is happening in the Omega will become dependent upon your remembrance of Alpha.

So once again our study this evening is in dealing with the mind as God intended for it to be dealt with. Now, last Sunday we again spoke from PP. 288 of God's Only Provided Place of Worship where Brother Branham emphasized the Spiritual diet of the Word having a certain effect upon us like vitamins do upon our bodies. We examined the effect of the Word upon our minds and the anointing of God upon the Word in our minds moving it down into our souls and becoming what is called "Spiritual Faith" or "Revelation".

From the Message Blasphemous Names , pg. 23, Brother Branham said, "Coming to your mental faith, right here, comes the Holy Spirit, coming down into your mental faith making it a Spiritual Faith. Then the Spiritual Faith only recognizes the Word."

And so, in looking at this condition of the mind, we see that God has come down in this hour to bring about a change of our mind that we might receive His mind. [ 2 Thess 1: 10] Tells us that in this hour of His Appearing, "He shall come to be Glorified in His saints." That is why Paul said, "When our testimony will be received among you in that day!" And we know that Paul brought to the people the very mind of God concerning His own Son. That is again why Paul could tell us in the Alpha, "Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus," and we see it coming to pass in the Omega. For this is the very hour that God is once again dealing with the minds and hearts of His people by His very Personal Presence being here among us.

[ Colossians 3:4] we read, "when Christ Who is our Life shall appear, then we shall appear with Him in the same Glory or mind-set." So then, if it is a condition of the mind, then it must first come to our mind, before it can move down into our heart and soul and take over the very ambitions and desires of our heart. That's why the scripture tells us, "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

In [ Luke 6: 45] "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good: and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of his heart the mouth speaketh." And so here we find the Scripture telling us that our hearts will only reflect the real treasure that lays inside of it, and it will show what our treasures really are in the things that we talk about.

From the message IS YOUR LIFE WORTHY OF THE GOSPEL PP 151, Brother Branham said, "the things that you think on, the things that you do, (the actions), the things that you talk about creates an atmosphere."

What your mind feeds upon is only a reflection of your Spiritual condition which is only a reflection of your Eternal destination. If God's Word is indeed the treasure of your heart It will reflect in your Life as well as in your language.

From Enticing Spirits brother Branham said, " you let me see what a man reads, let me see what

he watches, listen to the music he listens at, and I can tell what spiritual condition he is in." He

said, "because that's your appetite."

From What is the Holy Ghost, PP 31, brother Branham said, "You let me talk to a man for two minutes; I can tell you whether he's received the Holy Ghost or not. So can you. It separates them; It's a mark, It's a sign. And the Holy Spirit is a Sign. And it's... Any child that refused circumcision in the Old Testament, which was a foreshadow of the Holy Ghost, was cut off from amongst the people. He could not have fellowship with the rest of the congregation if he refused to be circumcised. Now, pattern that to today. A person that would refuse to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost can have no fellowship among those that has the Holy Ghost. You just can't do it. You have to be a nature. Like, it's... My mother there used to say, "Birds of a feather flock together." Well, it's an old proverb, but it's a true one. You don't see doves and crows fellowshipping. Their diets are different; their habits are different; their desires are different. And that's the way it is with the world and with a Christian when you have been circumcised by the Holy Spirit, which means to cut off a flesh.

Seeing, Lord, that the mental conditions, the nervous age that the people's living in, is driving them out of their minds; to exactly fulfill what the Scripture said and promised, the great hideous things would come upon the earth; like locusts, to haunt the women that cut their hair, they'll have long hair like a woman. And different hideous sights that they'll be able to see, Lord, in that mental, deluded condition they're in, and then screaming for the rocks and the mountains. Women who would mother dogs and cats, and not raise children to honor You. Those that You did give children to and they did conceive them, turn them loose on the streets to do as they want. No wonder You said, Lord, when You were going to the cross, "Then they'll begin to cry for the rocks and the mountains to fall on them."

[E-66 Christ is identified the same 64-0415] If the world would stand another fifty years, the whole world would be totally insane. Look at the sanity from forty--from twenty years ago to this time. See?

[COMMUNION 65-1212] And we also can look around and see that the way that the human mind is leaving the people. That, we--we can't stay too much longer, we'd be in a complete insane institution, the whole world would be. See? So we--we're at the end time.

[ 1 Tim 4: 6} "If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the Words of Faith and of good doctrine , whereunto thou hast attained."
