Revelation
is the Key

GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M
Like yesterday, in the message yesterday
morning, we find out that there is a
possibility of a person to worship God in vain, with sincere worship. God has
all these things fixed out for us, but the thing of it is, we have to search to find where they are.
Paul told Timothy to search, and to--to be in season and out of season, ready
to give a--a--a word or... of the hope that was within him.
50 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7
N-4 - 65-1128.1M
Now, all these things are in there. And we
find... Sometime I'd like to come to Shreveport where we just have about two or
three weeks just to take thirty minutes a night and just on a teaching, see,
just stay right in the Word, these secret passages (see?) where we could find out just how to get in. And you just watch, you follow God's direction, there's only
one key to each door. That's right. And no other key, no matter how much it
looks like it, God has no skeleton key; just got one key. And now, you've got to have that key, or the door won't unlock. No matter how sincere you are, you
still can't unlock that door.
51 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA
- V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M
Now, how many was at yesterday's breakfast, the
other morning? All right, I think most, at least ninety percent of you, or
more. To background this, what I'm going to say, David was anointed king
(anointed of God), the greatest king
52 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA
- V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M
Notice, now, that David being anointed, yet with the anointing he did, he got out
of the will of the Lord with that anointing; and all the people, not taking
the run of the Scripture or the key to this revelation, all of them anointed
too, they all, together, shouting and praising God for a thing that looked
exactly right: to bring the Word of God back to the house of God. But David was
king, not prophet. See? He... There
was a prophet in the land to do it by, and God dishonored the whole move
because they never used the right key. The door didn't unlock. And now we
must remember that, and keep that in mind. There is... Everything of
God, one certain way it's to be done, and that settles it. Now, there, God
had a one certain Church that He meets the people in, and He will receive you
in that Church and no other church.
53 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7
N-4 - 65-1128.1M
I've said this because I've been so many
times misunderstood, and people has told me...
I say, "Are
you a Christian?" "I'm Baptist."Are
you a Christian?" "I'm a Methodist."
"Are you a Christian?" "I'm a Pentecostal."
54
GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M
Now, see,
that doesn't mean one thing to God. You're just prodding with the wrong key.
But there is a right key, there is one where God... God
never promised to meet you as a Methodist, or as a Baptist, or a Pentecostal,
or no other denomination. He don't even consider the denominations,
they're against Him.
55
GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M
On that long Message, I will get It at the Tabernacle pretty soon. And then Brother Jack will
hear It, and then you can see what you want to do
about It, 'cause It'll be taped.
56 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7
N-4 - 65-1128.1M
Now, people
act like that God is obligated just to meet them on the basis of their
theology. Now, people act like that. They won't associate even with one
another. The Trinity or the Pentecost won't associate with the Oneness, neither will the Oneness associate with the
Trinity. The Methodist won't with the Baptist, because one is a legalist and
the other's a Calvinist, so they have no fellowship at all. And they wind the people's minds around so bad
that they even against one another.
57 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7
N-4 - 65-1128.1M
I went to pray, sometime ago, in a hospital
room. There was a lady laying there very sick, going under an operation, they
expected her to die. Another lady laying there, I was
called to pray for her. I said to her, "Would you mind just a moment if I
pray?" And she said, "Pull
that curtain!" And I said, "I'm sorry." I said, "I was just
going to ask prayer." She said, "Pull that curtain!" I said,
"Yes, ma'am." Her and her son setting there, a regular little Ricky
look. And I said, "Well, aren't you a Christian?" She said, "We are Methodist!" Said, "Well, I never asked you that, I
asked you if you was a `Christian.'" See? And so she said, "Pull that
curtain!"
65 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7
N-4 - 65-1128.1M
See, because somebody that wasn't a Methodist
was going to offer prayer for a dying woman, which she was too. But because it wasn't associated in her own organization, she didn't even want to hear it or have
nothing to do with it. If that ain't a Pharisee, I never seen one!
66 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA
- V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M
Wait till you hear The Trail of the Serpent. Huh. All right.
Now, think now that their denomination
is the only one that registers with God: "God won't hear you
unless you're a Methodist, or a Baptist, or a--a Trinity, or a
Oneness," or something like that. That's
wrong!
67 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7
N-4 - 65-1128.1M
And that's
my purpose; but if there is such a--a desire in people's minds and hearts
to be right... I don't believe the woman done it because... or anybody else. A
Methodist wouldn't raise up and take up for the
Methodist church because he--he knew it was wrong. The man thinks it's right. I don't
believe a Trinity would condemn a Oneness, or a
Oneness a Trinity and Pentecost, because he wants to be different, he thinks
he's right. And you must respect his ideas. You know, the blanket stretches
both ways. But, remember, in all that, if there's something in a man's heart or
a woman's heart that they believed that that is "right," then there's got to be somewhere that is right.
As I've often said, "When the deep calleth to the deep, there's got to be a deep to respond to
that call."
This morning I want to take just a simple thought
that I see brother Branham weaving into this Message, and I think you all
probably understand what it is. As You know, brother
Branham spent a great deal of time weaving into his messages about Vindication.
And here we see it again. He said, there has got to be
a key and only one key in understanding the scriptures. And then he illustrates
the story about David and how although he was mightily anointed by God to be
King, yet he was not a prophet. And although he was anointed, yet he still went
off the Word because he bypassed God's prophet for his day.
52
GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M
Notice, now, that David being anointed, yet with the anointing he did, he got out
of the will of the Lord with that anointing; and all the people, not taking the run of the Scripture or the key to
this revelation, all of them anointed too, they all, together, shouting and
praising God for a thing that looked exactly right: to bring the Word of God
back to the house of God. But David was king, not prophet. See?
He... There was a prophet in the land
to do it by, and God dishonored the whole move because they never used the
right key. The door didn't unlock. And now we must remember that, and keep
that in mind. There is... Everything of God, one certain way it's to be
done, and that settles it. Now, there, God had a one certain Church that He
meets the people in, and He will receive you in that Church and no other
church.
Now, notice how he said, " There
was a prophet in the land to do it by, and God dishonored the whole move
because they never used the right key."
Now , that ought to tell us what this key is that we must
have. You find many times brother Branham referring to the key as Revelation..
We are all very familiar with brother Branham quoting,
Matthew 16: 13 - 20.
Matthew 16:
13 - 20 (read) Where Jesus acknowledges that Peters
Revelation didn't come from a man, but from God Himself. And then He tells
Peter he has the Keys to heaven.
Deuteronomy
29: 29 ( Read)
God promised to reveal the things He wants known to us. And there is a purpose
to His revealing these things to us. "That we might do
all the word."
Now in this sermon brother Branham is telling us that
the Key to open the Door of God's Word is a Prophet. This is not a
contradiction.
Amos 3: 7
( Read)
Now, do we have a contradiction here or is there
something that we need to know in order to bring these two scriptures together
in a harmony of understanding.
The Lord
won't do anything until He first Revealeth it to His servants the prophets. This Word revealeth is a Hebrew Word "GALAH" which means "To uncover oneself, to discover or
show onesself, to reveal onesself
( IN speaking of God).
To disclose, discover, uncover, make known, show or reveal oneself".
So we see here that this key that Jesus Speaks of in
Matthew 16 is one and the same thing as we see in Amos 3: 7
If Jesus said in Matthew
16 that Revelation comes from God and is the Key to the Kingdom, and if God
will not do anything except He reveals it through a prophet, then we see the
importance of the Prophet
in the economy of God.
The first thing we must understand here is what is a key and what is it
used for?
So let's just digress for a minute here and look at this
thought brother Branham is laying out for us to understand. What do we see in this type.
What is a key and what is it used for?
I). A KEY.
1. A key is a device used to
unlock or lock something.
2. A Key is Something that completes or holds together the parts of
another thing, as a keystone holds together an arch.
3.
Something that is strategic in nature as to give
access or control: such as
was the key to
the lower
controlled the flow of goods to the South.
4.
The principal thing needed before one can do certain
things or express itself: a Piano
has keys, you must
access the keys before it will make a sound and express itself with
the
qualities it
possesses.
So what we see here by these definitions is
that a KEY is a very important
instrument which is essential for ACCESS,
ENTRANCE, CONTROL, and EXPRESSION.
Now Revelation is a Key. We know this because we have Scripture
for it. But what sort of things do we use a key to enter? Usually a key is used
to open a door. And didn't Jesus tell us in John 10 that He is the Door?
John 10: 9
(read) Now what happens when we enter this door? It says we are saved. So we see
here the importance of this Key. It is needed to save you and I. Our salvation then, depends upon whether we have this key
or not. Then we see that this key is very important to us, for without it we
could not enter the door, which is Christ and therefore we could not be saved.
So then, how do we find this Key. Well, we have
already read to you Amos 3: 7 . This is what brother
Branham war trying to get across to us.
He said people are so dependent on their theology of
their church yet how do they even know that what they believe is correct. If their are over a thousand denominations and every one of
them believe that they are right, then how can they all be right. They can't
all be right. So God said it must come through a prophet.

EPHESIAN.CHURCH.AGE -- CHURCH.AGE.BOOK.CPT.3
"Thou hast tried them that say they are
apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars." My, that is a blunt
statement. "Thou hast tried them who call themselves apostles." Isn't
that presumptuous? What right has a people to try those who call themselves
apostles? And how do they try them? Oh, I love this. Here it is in Galatians
1:8, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto
you than that which we have (already) preached unto you, let him be accursed."
It was the apostles who brought the original Word to the people. That original
Word could not change, not even a dot or dash of it.
Paul knew it was God Who had spoken to him so he said,
"Even if I come and try to give a second revelation, try to make one
little change in what I gave originally, let me be accursed." You see,
Paul knew that first revelation was correct. God can't give a
first revelation, then a second revelation. If He did, He would be
changing His mind. He can give a revelation and then add to it, as He did in
the Garden of Eden when He promised the Seed to the woman, and then later
designated that Seed had to come through Abraham, and then later said it would
come by the same blood lines in David. But it was the same revelation. It only
gave the people more information to help them receive and understand it. But
God's Word can't change. The Seed came exactly as revealed. Hallelujah. And see
what those false apostles were doing. They came with their own word. Those
Ephesians knew that Word as Paul had taught it. They were full of the Holy
Ghost by the laying on of Paul's hands. They looked those false apostles in the
eye and said, "You are not saying what Paul said. You are, therefore,
false." Oh, that sets my heart on fire. Get back to the Word! It is not
you that really tries the apostle, and prophet and teacher,
IT IS THE WORD THAT TRIES THEM. One of these days there is going to come a
prophet to the Laodicean Church Age and you will know
if he is the real one sent from God or not. Yes you will, for if he is of God
HE WILL BE IN THAT WORD EXACTLY AS GOD GAVE IT TO PAUL. HE WON'T DEVIATE FROM
THAT WORD FOR A MOMENT, NOT BY ONE IOTA. In that last age, when there will be
many false prophets appearing, watch and see how they keep telling you that if
you don't believe them and what they say, you will be lost; but when that LAST
DAY PROPHET comes on the scene, if he is truly that prophet, he will be crying
out, "Get back to the Word or you are lost." He won't build on a
private revelation or interpretation, but on the Word. Amen,
and Amen!
82-5
EPHESIAN.CHURCH.AGE -- CHURCH.AGE.BOOK.CPT.3
"Thou canst not bear them which are
evil, and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and
hast found them liars." These Ephesians believed that God's people ought
to be holy. According to this verse they took steps to keep the body unleavened
from sin. Most evidently the apostasy had already started. Sin had entered into
the church. But they were obedient to the words of Paul when he said to put away
the wicked from amongst them. They were a separated people. They had come out
of the world, and now they weren't going to let the world enter amongst them.
They would not put up with sin in the church. Holiness wasn't a phrase with
them or a figure of speech; it was a way of life.

LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE -- CHURCH.AGE.BOOK.CPT.9
If
you are still in any doubt about this ask God by His Spirit to fill you and
lead you, FOR THE VERY ELECT CAN'T BE FOOLED. Did you get that? There isn't any
man can fool you. Paul could not fool any elect, had he been wrong. And in that
first Ephesian Age the elect there could not be fooled for they tried the false
apostles and prophets and found them to be liars and put them out. Hallelujah.
HIS sheep hear His voice and they follow HIM. Amen. I believe it.
Now remember, a key is given you to open and close a
door. That is why Jesus spoke in parables. Because it would
then take revelation, the key to open up the scripture to our understanding.
Thus then the key, (Revelation) will not only open up the Word to us, but
because of the way that it is presented, without Revelation, it locks up the
meaning of the Scripture. So then it opens and locks. Now without it we have no
access. And we can see that this access must come through a vindicated
ministry.

access is ministered unto you. So you must come through a ministry, a keeper of
