Wednesday evening we examined again brother Branham's
statements from pps. 225 through 233 where he said, "By one Spirit. The Spirit of God,
which is the Life-giver to the Word (the Seed), to vindicate that
Seed for that season. It
takes the Holy Spirit to make that seed come to life " My children, borned of My genes!" "My
genes are in them! I put My Word in them" ..."And if you was just baptized in water right, and then deny the Word, then you're illegitimate; your birth wasn't correct. My action, and the vindication or
manifestation of God's Word in my life shows whether I'm a child of God or not.
Now that
is quite a dynamic statement because what he is telling you here that no matter
what you claim to believe, if it does not show in your Life, if there is no
manifestation of His Word for the season in your Life then you do not have God
- Life, but your new birth has only been of a corruptible type.
We examined 1
Peter
And so we re-examined the five points from our
Sunday message which you heard by tape
last Sunday and we tied them together
with this thought on Corruptible vs incorruptible Seed life.
#1 )
There is a Seed for every season.
We
know that a Seed is a carrier of Life. And it speaks of predestination,
because everything that seed will ever manifest in it's life cycle it already
has in it. Every attribute, every characteristic, every expression. That is why
a seed is the purest form of predestination.
Mark 4: 14 The Sewer
seweth the Word. & Luke

God sends His Spirit forth to quicken that Seed.
#3)
When this Seed manifests itself because of God's Spirit through His Word
quickens I,
this manifestation of the Seed is vindication that this Seed was indeed
for this Season.

This manifestation of the Seed-life by being quickened by the Word for
the season, is
the evidence or vindication that the Seed is God's Seed.
#5)
All other Seeds will not be quickened to Life but will reject the Word
for the season.
Not the Word but the True understanding of it.
1 Peter
The word "incorruptible" = "Apthartos" = just
the opposite. It can not perish or decay. A condition like the resurrected body
which is associated with Glory, Honor, and Life.
John 6: 63 - 66 Now
I want you to notice before we read that in verse 63 we hear Jesus speaking to
them that His Word is Life. But watch what John reveals to us in verse 64 - 66.
Let's read. "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh
profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and
[they] are life. But there are some of
you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that
believed not, and who should betray Him. And He said, "Therefore, said I
unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my
Father. From that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with
Him." Notice how that just
after He informed them Eternal Life is in His Word, they left. Now how is this
possible except for what Jesus said, You just won't be able to follow me and
take it all unless you are ordained of God to do so.
So we see as 1 Peter said, some are ordained to Life
and others are ordained to condemnation.
Acts
Jude 1: 4 (read)
condemnation here comes from a Greek word whose root word is Krino which
means to be separated from and which in a negative sense is the judgment passed
down from a Judge. We see in scripture that separation from God is part of the
curse. So then condemnation and separation are part of the curse and
2 Peter 2: 12 - 14 (read) Notice
it says they shall perish in their own
corruption. Then the scripture calls them cursed children . Amplified " But these people like unreasoning beasts, are mere creatures of
instinct, born only to be captured and destroyed, railing at things of which
they are ignorant, they shall utterly
perish in their own corruption - and in their destroying they shall surely
be destroyed. Being destined to receive punishment as the reward of their
unrighteousness - suffering wrong as the wages for their wrongdoing . They
count it a delight to revel in the daytime - living luxuriously and delicately.
They are blots and blemishes, reveling
in their deceptions at your love feasts around the same word and carousing together as
they feast with you and yet with eyes full of adultery, they never
stop sinning. They seduce the unstable souls. Their hearts are trained in
covetousness, & lust and they are experts in greed. They are exposed to
cursing and they are children of the
curse!"
Now we know the curse came in the Garden. And we see
it in Genesis 3: 14 - 17 (read)
Notice how God cursed the Serpent and his seed but He never cursed Adam. He
only cursed the ground for
Ephesian 4: 17 - 20 (read) They
alienate or cut themselves off from the
Life. That is exactly what the word
phthartos in 1 Peter
But let's face it, John said, "He that is of God
hears us." And so others will not hear us. And because they will not hear
us, they will perish in their own corruption. Now don't think that just because
you hear the audible sound of my voice that it will do you any good. If you are
not His Seed you will continue in your course that sets before you and you will
go right on with the same life style you have always been accustomed to. Now, another product of the curse was illness
and death. And we find this in a body where the life is leaving it.
1 Corinthians 11: 29 - 30 Notice the
effect of the judgment. Many are weak and sickly among you. We see here that as
we saw in 1 Peter
John 1: 1 - 4, In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with
God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that
was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the
light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. notice verse 5 darkness does not
comprehend it. ( katalambano = to take eagerly, to seize upon and possess,
to apprehend and comprehend. Here we are talking about Life and it says,
that darkness will not seize upon it, they won't apprehend it.
Now always remember this, When ever this Bible speaks of a Bible
principle it will always speak of it in terms of Twins.
Cain and Abel, Blessings and
Cursings, corruptible and incorruptible,
Life and Death. And here in the Book of John as well as in 1 Peter we
see Life and death. Twins. Children of
light seek Life, others death.
In the Book of John
we see on the One hand children of the Light coming to the Light, but on the
other hand we see children of darkness fleeing from the Light.
Now, as we began with 1 Peter 1: 23 this morning, I want to focus on this thought of corruptible
vs. Incorruptible life seed. Now our
English word for corruptible comes from
the Latin Vulgate Corruptiare which is actually the Latin word for vexation or
curse. So when we are looking at this thought on corruptible we can not fail to
see the tie with the actual word curse. And therefore incorruptible vs.
Corruptible is the same as blessings and cursings.
So again we will study the effects of the Word of God
upon us. Life to those who receive it and death to those who do not. Blessings
to one and cursings to the other. Now, as we brought out in our study on faith
and the testing of our faith, the tests that God sends our way are actually a
blessing to us because they are a sign that he has already approved us. Can you
see that?
James 1: 12 (read) You are
blessed while you endure the test.
Matthew 5: 10 - 12 (read) So we see that the trials are actually a blessing to us because
they are the ledger sheet or the vindication of our heavenly treasure that is being
put together and kept for us in heaven.
So then with this in mind, we can see that those who
are cursed will not have these tests because they are a sign of our reward and
there is no reward for those under the curse.
Psalm 1: 1 - 6 Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful. But his delight [is] in the
law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Didn't Jesus say),
"blessed are they which hunger and
thirst for righteousness sake, for they shall be filled." Now in
getting back to Psalm 1: we continue ... "And he shall be like a tree planted by
the rivers of water, that bringeth forth
his fruit in his season; his leaf
also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Why? Because He is blessed.
But notice, as we read on..."The ungodly [are] not so: but [are] like the chaff which the wind
driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners
in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. (They are left to themselves and since they have no life in them,
they can't help but to perish.) Notice how the Lord leaves those without Life,
to themselves, but He takes an active participation in the ones Who are Seed.
Now what does it mean they are left to themselves. It means they are not given
any revelation. He does not actively involve Himself in their lives. And of
course this is why they do not actively ask Him for involvement in their lives
as well. " Their is a way that
seemeth right to a man, but that way is the way of death." Without a Revelation from God we are
hopelessly sunk and we will never even get to first base with God in our lives.
Matthew 13: 10 - 17 And the
disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He
answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries
of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath,(
Whosoever echo's or is made of such a nature as to be able to give back. Give
back what. He said My Words are Spirit and they are Life. So Whosoever is of
Such a nature as to be able to receive the Life that is in My Word and Who can
give it back, and remember an echo is more than the original, and so is the corn of wheat that comes up from just
one kernel. Jesus said, "it is expedient that the corn of wheat fall
into the ground, for if it does not fall into the ground it will abide
alone." But if it falls into the ground
it will bring forth many other seed." So he continues here,
"to him shall be given, and he shall
have more abundance: but whosoever hath not,
from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to
them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not,
neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias,
which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye
shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and
[their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any
time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should
understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
But blessed [are] your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For
verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous [men] have desired to
see [those things] which ye see, and have not seen [them]; and to hear [those
things] which ye hear, and have not heard [them]. Now we are talking about
those who are blessed are able to hear, recognize and act upon the Word of God
as brother Branham preached his Message entitled, "Hearing, Recognizing and Acting upon the Word of God."
2 Thessalonians 2: 9 - 14 (read)
Them that perish, or in the
act of perishing. The Life is going out like
a broken cistern. Wuest
9 - 12 " whose coming and presence is in the sphere of every kind of
wicked deception geared to the gullibility of those who are perishing, this
gullibility caused by the fact that they did not accept the love for the Truth
to the end that they might be saved."
Hebrews 6: 4 - 8 For it is
impossible for those who have been once for enlightened, those who have tasted
of the Heavenly gift and have been made companions of the Holy Ghost Himself
being brought alongside and made aware of His presence, by tasting the goodness
of God's Vindicated Word and have been exposed to the Powers of the coming age, having fallen away
and deviated from the truth, it is impossible for them to ever come to a change
of the mind again, seeing that they have crucified themselves along with the
Son of God, and have subjected Him to
public disgrace. Now catch carefully what Paul says right
after this... For the land that
drinks in the rain (doctrine) that often falls upon it and that produces a crop that is useful to
those who have sewn it ( And who did the sewing?, the Son of Man) it is this
land which produces the crop which receives the blessings from God. But the
land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless to the one who sewed the
land and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned. One
produces a crop because it has life and the other has no life therefore can not
produce a crop.
2 John 8 - 9 Look to
yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we
receive a full reward. Whosoever
transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He
that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. Do not loose that which we have sewn for,
you must abide in the doctrine to reap.
You actually have a say over what blessings you receive and what cursing
you receive. But remember this, God cannot curse His own kids.
Now let's look at some of the blessing in the bible
and some of the cursings. Remember, as I said, those who are blessed the
outward sign to them that God is storing up treasures in heaven doesn't always
look like it is a receipt, but it is. Our trouble is that we want to hold onto
our cake and we also want to eat it. But let me put it this way. You make an
investment in a home. If you bought your home in the mid 70's it has either
tripled or quadrupled by now in it's value. Now I'm sure when you bought it you
might have thought that you would be really strapped with your payment. But now
as time has passed by you realize what a blessing it is because your payment is
very little by today's standards. Well, that is the way God's blessing come.
You sew in one season and you reap in another. And the blessings I'm talking
about you will never loose your reward, because they are being kept for the
time being in heaven, in store where the IRS, and old man rust can never take
them from you.
Matthew 6: 19 - 21 (read)
Revelations 22: 14 (read) Notice, that you may have a right to the Tree
of Life. So what commandments of God guarantees a blessing if we do them and a
curse if we don't?
Malachi 3: 8 - 14 (read) now notice,
even as we showed how God blesses you for action on His behalf, I want you to
see that inaction is the curse. The test
is your blessing and no action to His Word is you evidence that you are under
the curse. And this curse doesn't stop here, but will lead to separation from
His presence.
1 Corinthians 6: 9 - 12 (read)
1 Peter
Zechariah 5: 3 - 4 (read) Notice
they will be cut off and also they will consume away. That is to perish.
That is the effect of the curse. Separated from God
and no Revelation of His Word. That is why you must repent now while you still
have a mind to do so. Because one day soon, He that is filthy will be filthy
still and he that is righteous will be righteous still. One day soon you will
not be able to repent.
Matthew 25: 41 - 46 (read)

tithe paying, look at this. The Levitical priesthood paid tithes. And the
Bible said that Levi paid tithes when he was in the loins of Abraham, and that
was his great, great grandfather. And when Levi was in the loins of Abraham,
when Abraham paid tithes to Melchisedec, the Bible reckoned Levi paying tithes. How ought you people to live. If your sins
are visited to the children, what about your blessings?
Can you
see how important this is. Not only do you rob yourself but you rob your
children's inheritance as well. Isaiah

Paul speaking on tithe paying, that he said, Levi, who
had an order from God to receive tithing of his brother, paid tithes, for he
was yet in the loins of Abraham when he met Melchisedec, which was his great,
great-grandfather. And it was accounted to him for paying tithing. Your
life will impress your children, and have--influence your children by the
example you set before them. And I think it's a good thing that we put
every effort we can before our children as godly parents. Make an example, be
an example.

Can a Christian go to heaven if he or she
does not pay tithe? Now, that's one that I could not answer
Scripturally. Does a Christian not get to heaven because they do not pay
tithe? I could not say yes or no to that.
But I do believe that every Christian is obligated to pay tithings
because it is a commandment of the Lord. "And blessed is--are they that do all His commandments, that they
might have a right to enter into the Life, the Tree of Life." Now,
I do believe that tithe-paying is
essential to a Christian experience. For I'll get to that in another
question in a few moments; I know there's another one in here pertaining to that.

Brother Branham, don't you feel that
everyone who claims to be a Christian should pay tithes, pay their tithes into
the storehouse of the Lord? Please give Scripture to this question. All right, if you will... That is right, that the
Bible said in Malachi the 4th
chapter, "Will a man rob God?
And you say, `Where have we robbed Thee?' In tithe and offerings. Bring all
your tithe and offerings into My storehouse and prove Me," saith the Lord,
" if I will not open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that
there'll not be room enough to receive." That's a challenge to any individual. And if
I only had the time, and would not get to this little Scripture that I wish to
get to in about the next ten minutes, I would like to give you a personal
testimony of how that I was even hungry, and my mother and them hungry, and my
daddy sick, but I took my tithes out first and give it to God, and you ought to
see what happened. I have never seen in my life, that any man or a woman, that
if you only make one dollar a week, will bring the ten cents of that money and
put it into your storehouse, your church where you come, if God don't bless
that, call me a hypocrite. Yes, sir.
That's a challenge to anybody. And every Christian... That goes to this other
question. Every Christian should pay tithes. That's right. It should be done.

What would a man take tithings for, if he had
any... If he never was borned, and never will die, and was from beginning to
end, and--and never had no father or mother or descent, and owned the whole
heavens and earth and all in it, why would He take tithe? Why would he ask
Abraham to pay tithes? You see what a
strict thing it is to pay tithes? Tithing's right. Every Christian's duty bound
to pay tithe. That's right. Never
has been changed.
In closing, I just want to say that this subject on
Tithes and offering has always been one that is touchy to many people. But why
is it so touchy. If it's God's Word then we must do our part. If it is not then
tear it out of your bibles because it has no place in you bible if it is not
the inspired Word of God. But I'll tell you where the hard part comes to those
who refuse to tithe. It's not real to them. And it's not revealed to them.
Remember, brother Branham said, "You get out of it what you put into it." You put nothing in and you will certainly get nothing out. And how do you expect God to
give us Rapturing faith when we don't even have faith to tithe and contibute
beyond the tithe with support for the
building. I've heard people say, it's like another bill, but that is just
carnal thinking and shows no revelation. To me it's a blessing. You owe
everything you have to God. Your jobs, your homes, your families, everything.
Yet when God tells you to trust Him and you can't, what kind of faith do we have? That is actually an insult,
because you are telling God you do not believe Him. Tithing to me is so elementary that even the
nominal Christians are aware of it and perform their roles without complaint,
and with joy. So then, what about a
people who claim to be His Elect? Paul
said,
"Laying aside the elemenatry teachings, let's go onto perfection",
but as brother Branham said, " How can I tell them Algebra when they
don't even know their ABC's. "
Now, I hope this message today showing the effects of
the Word upon our Lives causes you to think more about your role and how you
can be more active in supporting this local
light house which God has placed here.
Remember, Brother Branham said, " My action, and the vindication
or manifestation of God's Word in my life shows whether I'm a child of God or
not." Let's
pray.
