We Live By the Word

We live in our home like Branhams live. You live in your home, the Joneses, like the Joneses live.

 239 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WORSHIP - SHP.LA - V-7 N-4 - 65-1128.1M

And in the House of God we live by the Word of God and every One that proceedeth out of the mouth of God, and any other, fraud, we won't listen to him. See?  Now before we go further, I just want to add this. There is a preacher who is telling his people that "under the shout the Husbands are supposed to control their families, but under the voice we no longer are responsible to control our families."  To me that man needs to be born again. Where does he get that from anyway? Show me scripture and verse. And yet you might think that he is off into lala land somewhere, but you do the same by your actions. Then who is the hypocrite? The one who says it and does it or the one who doesn't say it yet does it by your actions. He said , "in the House of God we live by the Word of God and every One that proceedeth out of the mouth of God,"

Tonight I would like to take a short dedicational Message before we partake of communion together. Notice, brother Branham said, "we live in our home like Branham's Live and in the house of God we live by the Word of God." Now is he saying that these should be two different things? I don't believe so. I was listening to  a video tape of brother Billy Paul Branham the other night as he was being asked questions by teenage kids who are being brought up in this message. And the overall theme of his testimony  was the way in which his father, Brother Branham, conducted their home in the same manner as he did from the pulpit. He kept the banner of Gods Love, Grace and reverence in their home at all times held over his family.  He literally applied the Token to His home.  Now, we know that brother Branham believed in creating an atmosphere where ever we go. And He certainly was a living example of Love and reverence and respect. Something that we all need more of in our lives.

I think today, we need to re address this issue of Home and House of God, because I think that is where we are missing the mark.  We should be so aware of Gods presence that we would find it very hard to do things in our own homes knowing full well, that He is right there on the scene. I mean, dirty talk. Saying things or repeating things that others have done that should never be repeated. Whether it be someone's actions or just their dirty talk.

Brother Branham even asked his father to never come to his home when he had been drinking.

Now in paragraph number 233 we read ...."My action, and the vindication of God's Word in my life shows whether I'm a child of God or not. Now, there's God's only place. See it? The only place that God will receive your sacrifice (I don't care how sincere you are) is in Christ."  And Sunday we tied this into the next few paragraphs where he said,   234  And remember... You say, "Well, I believed I come in too." Remember, the Bible says... You say, "Well, the Bible said, `Whosoever believeth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, is saved, shall be saved.' "  235   It says that, but remember it also is written, also is written, "No man can call Jesus the Christ, only by the Holy Ghost." See? You might say "he is," but he isn't until the Holy Spirit Itself which gives Life to the Word proves it by vindication that you are the son of God. That's the Scripture.   Now let's just turn to this scripture that brother Branham refers to here.  Where he quoted, "No man can call Jesus the Christ, only by the Holy Ghost."   Brother Branham is telling us here that, "just because you say you believe it,  doesn't really mean that you believe it."  And that is what I'm trying to tell you. The only way I can tell if you believe it is if your life is manifesting what you claim to believe.

If Noah really didn't believe God's Message of the rain, he would not have built the ark. If Moses did not really believe God's Message of an Exodus, He would not have left Egypt with all those people. And brother Branham is telling us that the Life in the Word must take a hold of our lives or we are not even a part of the Message of this hour. That is why I hit on something as simple as tithes and offerings. Because when you know to do right and you don't do it, to you it is iniquity and it shows that you are not even born again. And you must be born again to be a part of the rapture and inherit the kingdom.  All others will go through a tribulation period.  Notice again in pp 235 he said, "You might say "he is," but he isn't until the Holy Spirit Itself which gives Life to the Word proves it by vindication that you are the son of God

̃    John 5: 1 - 5  (read)

Now tonight we're looking at this statement brother Branham said, We live in our home like Branhams live. You live in your home, the Joneses, like the Joneses live. And in the House of God we live by the Word of God and every One that proceedeth out of the mouth of God,

Now, brother Branham was a mild mannered individual. He tried to live at peace with all men. He was not loud, nor was he an outspoken person, but he was humble and quiet. One day Brother Branham took Billy Paul and his wife and 2 kids to a restaurant and as they were sitting there eating, in walked 2 rugged looking men. They walked up to the counter and sat on the stool side by side. One of them began to  pour out filthy talk from his mouth. Billy said, " I could see dad becoming disturbed and the next thing I knew he excused himself from the table and headed over toward those men. Billy Paul remembered thinking, "oh, oh, now were in trouble." Brother Branham walked up to where the 2 men were eating and talking filthy talk and he said, "sir, I am a minister of the Gospel, And I am over there at that table eating  with my boy and his family. "  he said, "Now, you have as much of a right to eat here as I do, And I have as much of a right to eat here as you do.  But may I ask you a question?" And the man said "sure".  He said,  "are you going to put food into that same mouth that such filth is pouring out?  Just then, Billy Paul, thought to himself, "Oh, oh, now you done it, I'm going to get killed!" Brother Branham continued,  "I do not believe in such talk  as what you are doing. I do not preach such and neither do I practice such. My son's  family are not accustomed to hearing such talk, and I do not want them to hear it."

He then  turned around and came back to his seat. The man never used a foul word again that night.

IS YOUR LIFE WORTHY OF THE GOSPEL pp. 151

And did you know, you are a little creator yourself? Did you know that? Certainly! You've seen people that you just love to be around. You don't know why. Just that loving type of person. Haven't you seen that? Just as kind, you like you be around them. They create that atmosphere by the life they live, the way they talk, their conversation. Then you've seen those that every time you - you shun them. All the time they want to talk about something evil and talk about somebody, and say, "Oh, my, there they come, they're going to talk about this man. All they're going to do is tell dirty jokes, or something about women, or something like that." You just hate to get around them. See? They create. Seemingly pretty nice people, but they create that atmosphere. And the things that you think on, the things that you do, the actions, the things you talk about creates an atmosphere.

Loise baby sat for brother Branham and Meda on occasion and one day she came to the home in blue jeans. Sister Meda took here aside and said, "Now, Loise, I'm sure you will not understand what I am trying to tell you right now but we have many people come to visit our home who look to Bill's ministry for guidance and help. Now we do not believe in men and women wearing shorts and women wearing pants and such as that. We believe in our women dressing modestly. And since you and Billy Paul are seeing each other, if people see you here wearing jeans and such they will not understand and it can cause some to doubt and question. So I am asking  that you not come around here dressed that way."  And Loise never wore pants again.

When Billy Paul was 16 years old he was sure not living for the Lord and it was causing a lot of conflict in brother Branham's home. One night he was out with his friends real late. Now brother Branham had a curfew in his home and Billy Paul was way past his curfew. He was out drinking and sneaked in the house real late. Brother Branham let him sleep in the next morning and when Billy Paul woke up and got showered and dressed, brother Branham asked him if he had any plans for the day. Billy Paul said no, so brother Branham asked him to come with him for a ride. They started driving and driving and driving and all the while Billy Paul was wondering in his mind what was going on. Finally brother Branham drove into the grounds of the Indiana state correctional institute for wayward children. They toured the facility and after wards, he asked Billy how he thought kids ended up there. Billy said, " I suppose it's delinquent kids who smoke and drink and get into all kinds of trouble." Brother Branham said, "Did you know there are other reasons as well? Some people send their kids here because they just can't handle them." And that's all he said.  Billy Paul got the message but it didn't last too long.

He still liked his worldly music and friends and finally one day not too long afterwards,  brother Branham asked him to make a choice. Either get rid of the music or leave the home, because He was not going to compromise the atmosphere in his home for any one, including a rebellious son. Billy said, he made the biggest mistake of his life, by leaving home.

THE TOKEN 63-0901  pg. 49 pp. 5

Apply it, create that atmosphere around you, that they will just drop right into it. Oh, you are , if you've got the Token, you create an atmosphere around you of power, that when you walk, people know that you are a Christian. In love for you to say something to them. They believe your word, what you say, they hold onto it. See? That is it. Apply the Token, then walk in it. Claim your household. You must do it, now. This is the evening time.

AWAKENING JESUS 63-0117

And we create our atmosphere around us, each one of us. You've been with people that were nice people, but you just couldn't hardly be around them. Then you've been with other people that you just loved to be around them. You create that atmosphere. And, oh, wouldn't you have loved to have been around Jesus just a little? Wonderful! Se what that atmosphere He created would have been. I imagine it was just one great big bundle of Love, and Respects, and Godly Fear.

And then you see people that were noble people, but yet you were always glad to get away from them. It's just they create such an atmosphere around where you are. Nothing against them. They're nice people, but you don't like that atmosphere they're in. And their character creates whatever they are, makes them what they are.

̃    PHILIPPIANS 4:4 - 9 Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord [is] at hand.  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
