Living
Word of a Living God
Wednesday night we focused our attention again on pp. 259 where we examined the fact that every Jot and
Tittle of God's Word is necessary and in fact vital and is a carrier of
God-Life and the attributes of God-Life.
We read where Jesus said in ....[Matthew
5:17 - 19] Think not that I am
come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to
fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till
heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the
law, till all be fulfilled and we focused our attention
on what Jesus said, "the Word becoming fulfilled" because to
become fulfilled means to become as in Life becoming. And so
we see Jesus speaking about Life in [John 6: 63] when He said, "My
Words are Spirit and they are Life." And in [John
1: 4] where we read, "In Him is Life and the Life is the Light
of Men." And again in [ John 14: 6] where He said, "I am
the Way, the Truth, and the Life." And when we read the parable of the Son of Man
sowing a seed, our thoughts automatically
think of His a seed as sowing of Life, because after all, that is what a seed is, a carrier of Life,
and in [Mark 4: 14] we read, the seed that the sower went forth
sowing is the Word. So what we
are dealing with here is the Life of God that is contained in the Word Seed of
God, which is God-Life!
Now we found that the way we emphasize or punctuate
the Word of God carries with it, our understanding of what we are reading.
Remember, Jesus said in [Mark 4] Be careful how you hear, for with
what filter you are using to hear with, the same filter will determine what
understanding you will actually receive from the Word. The exact same
words with a
different emphasis upon them can make them say just the opposite of what the
Words are meant to convey. Paul warned the believers in [Galatians 1:
6] that they had departed from the Message of Christ and were
believing another Gospel. But if you notice, He said, it wasn't another Gospel as
though it was different Gospel altogether, but it was a changed gospel in
that it's nature was changed and
therefore perverted from the original.
The wrong emphasis or punctuation can make a sentence
say something that is not intended.
Wednesday night Matthew Applegate turned in His homework assignment and
we read from [Ephesians 5: 22] where Paul said, "
Wives, submit yourself unto your own husbands as
unto the Lord." When we read this we see a commandment from God.
But I asked you children to examine how you could change the meaning of
scripture by changing the punctuation and Matthew changed the entire meaning of
this scripture by adding just a question mark.
He changed it to " Wives,
submit yourself unto your own husbands? as unto the
Lord? And by placing a question
mark in these two places he was able to make the Word place in doubt whether a
wife should do this or not. Joey Howansky used the Scripture [Genesis 1: 3 ] And
God said let there be light: and
if we placed a question mark after And God said? let
there be light? We would again see a question going forth that would
cause a change in the True understanding and therefore you can see that the way we speak and the
inflection we use and the punctuation we read is very important in conferring
to us the true meaning of what we are saying. So in essence, we get the spirit
behind what is being said not only from the words that are said, but also the
way in which they are brought forth. Jesus said, They
that Worship God must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
Now to follow through on this can any of you adults
tell me who used this strategy first?
Who was the first one spoken of in the scripture to take a command of
God and to re speak it with a question mark causing someone to begin to doubt
the command of God?
[ Genesis 3: 1 - 4]
Notice how the Seprent uses a question here to throw Eve off. "You shall not surely die? He says, did God really say that? And so he
got Eve to doubt ! And one word off is satan's kingdom. Now to further understand the effect of
every jot and tittle, remember what Jesus said in [Matthew 5:18- 19] For verily I say
unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise
pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. In examining
this scripture we notice that Jesus says the Word has got to come to the place
of fulfillment which is a word {ginomai} which means to become.
We use the same word when speaking of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly or a
tadpole becoming a from.
It suggests to us that the thing being spoken of has not
come forth yet but when it does it will fully express what it really is. And so
we see Jesus even speaking of every jot and tittle of the word as attributes
that must come forth and eventually express themselves. Fulfillment.
So we see the importance of leaving it as it was given to us. The Word is Life
expressed, God-Life expressed. And therefore, every jot and tittle, every
punctuation mark is an attribute and therefore part of the expressed Life. God-Life. When you consider that the Word is a Living breathing organism,
then you can see that every jot and tittle is vital to the fulfillment of the
whole in the same manner that every gene and chromosome that you possess is
vital to your being complete and able to become fulfilled. Branham taught us in pp. 129 that the Word of God
is the Genes of God and in pp.
227 "God placed His Genes
in us when He placed His Word in us."
Now, if then the Word of God is an expression of
God-Life, then to take one jot away or one little tittle away or to change the emphasis
or punctuation in any manner will also alter the genetic pool of attributes
that lay within the Word of God. Then to distort any of the attributes will
distort the God-Life that lays within the Gene Seed of
the Word. Remember in
[Genesis 1: 11] the
Law of reproduction that states "every
seed will bring forth after it's kind". And [ 1
Peter 1: 23] "Being born again, not of a corruptible seed but of
an incorruptible, by the Word of God."
So then the Word is a giver of Life and if so then every attribute
and characteristic that is contained in the Word is placed there for a purpose.
Just as your own attributes which are placed in your genes and chromosomes are
placed there for a purpose and we must never think to alter them, for if we do,
we also will alter the expression of that life.
To take away any genes from our own gene pool could cause you
irreparable damage to your body and mind.
In the November issue of Life Magazine about the Desert Storm babies that are being
born with deformities we find out. that biological
warfare that Sadam Hussein used against our troops caused mutations to occur in
the men's Seed, and it remained unnoticeable until the man decided to fulfill
themselves by bringing forth offspring. Then when children started to come
forth, they were missing
arms and legs. We see how Bio-Engineering in the Omega hour is
just a repeat of the story of Genesis all over again when Satan working though
the Serpent caused his seed to mingle with the God-life Seed in the sons of God
and caused biological mutations in the sons of men. These men became big and
mighty, men of renown, and yet we find their minds were incapable of thinking
righteous thoughts.
[Genesis
6:1-9] And it came to
pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were
born unto them, That the sons of God saw the
daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which
they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not
always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an
hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and
also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and
they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old,
men of renown. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was]
great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart
[was] only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made
man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I
have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping
thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the
LORD. These [are] the generations of
Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah
walked with God. Here we see the
effects of the mutation of the gene Life of God after mingling with the sons of
men.
[I
Chronicles 20:5 - 8] And there was war again with the Philistines; and
Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose
spear staff [was] like a weaver's beam. And yet again there was war at Gath, where
was a man of [great] stature, whose fingers and toes [were] four and twenty,
six [on each hand], and six [on each foot]: and he also was the son of the
giant. But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's
brother slew him. These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the
hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
Notice the effect of this genetic engineering that
satan did, not only did it produce a lineage of mutants physically, but look what it
did to the minds of that lineage? every
imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. And if our way back to a Glorified
body is determined by a change of our mind, according to [Romans 12: 2]
then what if the mind can not think straight enough to receive a change in
it? Didn't Jesus tell us in [ Matthew 13] that only some people are
ordained to hear and understand while others are not made to understand? Then
where are we at? Why do you think it is
so important to marry only a True Genuine believer? Because if you don't, what
kind of a chance will your children have? You're only gambling on your
children's Eternal destination and placing your children at extreme odds to
begin with because many more are the children of the desolate than she which
has a husband. Now with this review in
mind, let's move on with this message of God's Only Provided Place of
Worship. Now notice how brother
Branham ties portions of the Word with portions of the Body of Christ as though
different parts of the Word will bring forth different attributes of the Body
of Christ into Manifestation just as different Genes in your own body are
responsible for manifesting different characteristics.
PP. 262 The Lutherans, under justification, the feet,
raised it like that; Wesley, under sanctification. The Pentecostals under
the arms, the works and deeds and so forth, had to be Calvinists... or had
to be Armenian, had to be legalists. But now we come to the head, the
capstone. "Grace! Grace!" the capstone cried. Now
in this next paragraph I want you to notice how many times Brother Branham
refers to Life and living in reference to the Word of God for the hour and how
it affects the gene Seed of God in you.
PP. 263 The headstone crying what? "Grace! Grace!" Passed from death and creed, into a living Word
of the living God. God's only provided plan for His age, His
sons in the Word age quickened by the Spirit like a spark that's
lit off of something to make it alive; and seated now in heavenly
places (in present tense), already alive and subject to
every promise in the Word. Then what does that do? You being a part
of God's gene, a part of the Word, other men a part of God's
Word, seated together, manifest the entire Body of Christ, because
there's no leaven among you. (See what He's talking about, Brother Brown?) No
leaven among you, just the Word only, seated in heavenly places, in the
door where He put His Name: Christ Jesus.
Now catch what he is saying
here. Pure Word brings forth a pure complete body. No leaven means nothing has
been injected, and we are talking about Life. And then he tells us that nothing
can be injected. Why? Because it would cause another life
form to begin to mingle and pollute the God-Life of the Word Gene Seed.
Now this morning I would like to focus our attention
on what brother Branham is saying here in pp. 263 when he says, The headstone crying what? "Grace!
Grace!" Passed from death and creed, into a living
Word of the living God. God's only provided plan for
His age, His sons in the Word age quickened by the Spirit like
a spark that's lit off of something to make it alive; and seated now
in heavenly places (in present tense), already alive and subject
to every promise in the Word.
Now let's just examine this thought here and take it
back to the Word of God. Notice he says, Passed from death and creed,
into a living Word of the living God. I would like to
make this point # I ) a living
Word of the living God. Now,
for Point #2 ) , His sons in the Word age
quickened by the Spirit like a spark that's lit off of something
to make it alive. And
Point #3 ) alive and subject to
every promise in the Word. Now
I don't know if we will have time this morning to get through all of this but
if not we shall have to continue on next
Satuday night at our Communion service.
point #
I ) a living Word of
the living God. I think
by repeating this statement, we can see that Brother Branham is bringing to our
attention the subject of Life. And he is speaking of here pertaining to a
Living Word coming forth from a Living God. Now, I hope we can earnestly say that he is speaking
in reference to a Living God in contrast to one who is not alive. And a Living Word in contrast to one that's
not alive.
Life! That's what this Message is all about. He is
talking about a God who is Alive and full of Life. In fact we
find in Scripture that God is the Author of Life. Now what I want us to
see in this study this morning, is the relationship between these two
elements that make up this thought. He said, a living
Word of the living God. So
at first glance we see that we are looking at two different things here. #1)
a Living Word, and #2) The
Living God. Two different things, right? Wrong! There's only one thing we are dealing with
here and that is Life. God-Life! And the Source of this Life is God Himself.
In order to show you the relationship between these
two elements and that they are in reality just one thing, we will first have to
look at what the Word is.
[ John 1: 1] In the Beginning
was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. So then what we are looking at here is that
the Word is no different from God Himself. It says, the Word was with Him and
the Word is Him. Now how can this be? We are told in [Proverbs 23: 7] As a man thinketh in his heart, so is
he. In [Luke 6:45 & Matthew
12:34] Jesus said, For out of
the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
And in the message Word Became Flesh...pp.
212, It has to become a thought before it can become a word, and a word
expressed, materializes. He also said, every word in the Bible is
God's thoughts
laid in seed form, that if received into the human being, and spoke by the same
thought that materialized the Bible, brings the thing to pass...
So we see that a man is only the product of His
thoughts. You have thoughts of becoming a architect,
and that becomes your desire and ambition, then when yuo put your mind to it,
that is what overtakes you and that is what you become. And as we hear Jesus
say, , For out of the abundance of the heart the
mouth speaketh. So therefore, your mouth is a dead give away as to who
you are and what you are. Now we read here this morning, Brother Branham speak of a living Word of the living
God. And notice the word of joins
or links these two elements together. Notice how Living Word is
linked to The Living God by one little word of. Now, we know that the word of
means out from, or having it's source
from. Like if I say these pews are made of wood, they tell
you what the source of the pews are. According to Webster's New
World dictionary it also means, having as a distinguishing
quality or attribute; or characterized by. So when Paul
says, I am crucified in Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ
liveth in me, and the life that I now live, I live by the Faith of
the Son of God who gave Himself
for me. So when he says he lives
by the faith of
The son of god, he is telling us that it is not his
faith, that this faith does not have it's source in himself but that this faith
actually has come forth from or is the distinguishing quality or attribute of
and is characterized by the Son of God's very own faith. Not Paul's faith, but
Jesus own faith. So therefore we can see that Son of God shows that the Son had
His source in God. Therefore we as sons of God also have God as our source or
beginning. Now with this in Mind let's
again go to the Scriptures to look at the great source of Life, which is in God
Himself.
[Psalm 36:9] For with thee [is] the
fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. Now
notice closely that the Scripture does not say God is Life, but with Him is
life. Life is an expression of what He is. And what else was with Him in the
beginning? The Word, right? And we read of this Word
and it's attributes in
[John 1:4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Notice, it says, In Him was Life and the Life was the
light of men. Now at this point we are still looking at God Himself.
But notice in verse 14 this Word which was in and with God begins to
materialize and become or take on flesh and in doing so it becomes an
expression of the Life that is in God and with God. And then when that Life
became materialized before us we hear Him say, [ John
11: 25] Jesus said, " I am the resurrection and the Life, he that
believeth in me, though he were dead yet
shall he live. So now we see
this Life begin to declare the Source of Life and how we also might obtain this
Life. And it must come through Him. [Revelation 11:11] And after three days and an half the Spirit
of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and
great fear fell upon them which saw them. Now notice here where the Spirit
of Life came from, It came from God.
So what we are looking at is this, there is a Great
Fountain of life that is somewhere, and we know this fountain comes forth from
the Presence of God. But what we need to know if we are to receive this fountain, is by what means does it come forth. When we think
of a fountain we think in terms of water perpetually coming forth without an
ending. Now the water coming forth is not the source but is coming forth from
the Source. And the fountain itself is not the source but is the means by which
we may obtain the Life that comes forth from the Source. [REVELATION
22:1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as
crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. But
the Source is God Himself. And yet we see that there is a fountain that will
bring froth from Him the very thing we desire, and that is Life. Eternal life. [Deuteronomy
30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, [and] that thou mayest
obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he [is] thy life,
and the length of thy days: In this
scripture we see that God is our very Life and yet it is His Voice that we must
heed in order to obtain the Life of Him.
So now we are thinking of this God-Life in terms of fountains and rivers
of water. Because the analogy or type that God uses is that of something that
is ever moving and flowing forth from it's source. So
then there must be a source and a vehicle to move it from that source.
[Proverbs 13:14] The law of the wise [is] a fountain of life, to depart from the snares
of death. [Proverbs 14:27] The fear of the LORD [is] a fountain of life, to
depart from the snares of death. [Revelation
21:6] And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life
freely.
[Genesis 2:7] And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Now in this verse we see God bringing forth His own
Life and placing it in man through His breath. Yet in this illustration we
actually picture God having made or molded a form and then literally coming
down to earth and placing His mouth up to Adams and breathing into Adam His own
Life. But is that necessarily the way it went? JOB 33:4 The Spirit of
God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life . Now if Job has the same testimony as Adam,
then might there be another scene that took place with Adam as well as with
Job? And what might that be? What is the breath of God anyway?
In [ 1 Timothy 3: 16] we read, all
Scripture is God breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in right wise ness, that the man of God might be
thoroughly furnished unto all good works. So we see that the breath of God is His own
Word coming forth. Now isn't it strange that we see that In
the beginning the Word was with Him and in Him and in this Word is Life and the
Life is the Light of man. So then if the Life is in the Word, then we see that
we must receive what is in the Word in order to have Life. In [1 Peter 1: 23]
we read, being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,
by the Word of God which Liveth and abideth forever. There's your
living word that Brother Branham spoke to us about. And notice it is a Seed
that is to bring forth Life. And in [Mark 4: 14] we read that the Seed
that the sower went forth sewing is the Word of God.
[Acts 11:18] When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God,
saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted
repentance unto life. Now notice then
if the Word of God is Life, or a carrier of Life as a seed is also a carrier of
Life, then it takes a change of our own thinking in order to receive God's
thinking which is what a Word is, just a thought expressed. And so then if we
are not able to change our thinking, then what chance have
we at receiving God-Life. [Acts 13:46] Then Paul and Barnabas
waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have
been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves
unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. [John 3:36] He
that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the
Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
[I John 5:20] And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an
understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is
true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
[John 17:3] And
this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus
Christ, whom thou hast sent.
[Galatians 3:21] [Is] the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there
had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should
have been by the law.
[Ephesians
4:18] Having the understanding
darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in
them, because of the blindness of their heart:
[I John 5:12] He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not
the Son of God hath not life. 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the
Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe
on the name of the Son of God.
[Titus 1:2] In
hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world
began;
[Revelations 2:7] He that hath an ear, let him
hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I
give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
[Revelations 20:12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of
life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the
books, according to their works. [Revelations 22:19] And if any man shall take away from the words of the
book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and
out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this
book.
[John 5:24] Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent
me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed
from death unto life.
[Acts 13:48] And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the
word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
[Philippians 2:16] Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in
the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
[I John 1:1] That which was from the beginning, which we have
heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our
hands have handled, of the Word of life;
[Colossians 3:4] When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear
with him in glory.
[II Timothy 1:10] But is now made manifest by the appearing of our
Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and
immortality to light through the gospel:
[Jeremiah 2:13] For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the
fountain of living waters, [and] hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that
can hold no water. [Jeremiah 17:13] O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake
thee shall be ashamed, [and] they that depart from me shall be written in the
earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
