God’s Only Provided Place of
Worship # 96
Brian Kocourek,
Sons
Last Sunday we focused our attention on paragraph no.
63 where Brother Branham said,
PP. 263 The headstone
crying what? "Grace! Grace!" Passed from death and creed, into a living Word of the
living God. God's only provided plan for His age, His sons in the Word age quickened
by the Spirit like a spark that's
lit off of something to make it alive; and seated now in heavenly
places (in present tense), already
alive and subject to every
promise in the Word. Then what does that do? You being a part of God's gene, a part of the Word, other men a part of God's Word, seated
together, manifest the entire Body of
Christ, because there's no leaven
among you. (See what He's talking about, Brother Brown?) No leaven among you, just the Word only,
seated in heavenly places, in the door where He put His Name: Christ
Jesus. Now catch what he is saying here. Pure Word brings
forth a pure complete body. No leaven means nothing has been injected, and we
are talking about Life. And then he tells us that nothing can be injected. Why?
Because it would cause another life form to begin to mingle
and pollute the God-Life of the Word Gene Seed.
Now Sunday morning we looked at what brother Branham said
here and we found there to be three distinct points being laid out before
us. Notice he said, "Passed from death and creed, into
a living Word of the living God. And so we made this point # I ) a living Word of the living
God. As Brother Branham
continued he said something that we labeled as point #2 ) ,
His sons in the Word age quickened
by the Spirit like a spark that's
lit off of something to make it alive. And then we hear him continue his thought by
saying something which we shall label as Point #3 ) alive and subject
to every promise in the Word. So
altogether, his statement is as follows,
PP. 263 The headstone crying what? "Grace! Grace!" Passed from death and creed, into a living Word of the living God. God's
only provided plan for His age, His sons
in the Word age quickened by the Spirit like a spark that's lit off of something to make it alive;
and seated now in heavenly places (in present tense), already alive and subject
to every promise in the Word
Now, Sunday morning we focused our thinking entirely
upon point # I ) a living Word of the living
God. And we can see that Brother Branham's thoughts are focused here on the
subject of Life. And he is speaking here pertaining to a Living Word coming forth from The Living God. Life!
That's what this Message is all about. He is talking about the God who is Alive and full of Life. In fact we find in
Scripture that God is the Author of Life.
And what the Holy Spirit directed our thoughts to see in this study last Sunday
is the relationship that is established by a living Word that comes forth from
the living God. So at
first glance it looked to be as though we were looking at two different things
here. #1) a Living Word, and
#2) The
Living God. But as it turned
out we were actually looking at only one thing, and that is Life. God-Life! And we
found the Source of this Life is God Himself.
We went to the Word of God and Established that God
and His Word are One. Not just one as if they were two
things that were joined together and became One, but One in that The Word of
God is only an expression of
what God is and Who He is. [ John 1: 1] In the Beginning was
the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. So then what we are looking at here is that
the Word is no different from God Himself. It says, the Word was with Him and
the Word is Him. [Proverbs 23: 7] As a
man thinketh in his heart, so is he. In
[Luke
[Psalm 36:9] For
with thee [is] the fountain of life: in thy light
shall we see light. Now notice closely that the Scripture does not say God
is Life, but with Him is life. Life is an expression of what He is. And what
else was with Him in the beginning? The Word, right?
And in [John 1:4] we read, In him was life; and the life was the light of
men. Now it did not say He
was Life, but, In Him was Life and the Life was the light of men. Now
up to this point we are still looking at God Himself, not Jesus the Son.. But in verse 14 this Word which was in and with God
begins to materialize and become or take on flesh and in doing so it becomes an
expression of the Life that is in God and with God. And then when that Life
became materialized before us we hear Him say, [ John
So what we are looking at is this Great Fountain of
life that has it's source within God Himself. We know this fountain comes forth from the
Presence of God. And the fountain itself is not the God but is the means by
which we may obtain the Life that comes forth from the God. In [Genesis 2:7] we
read, And the LORD God formed man [of] the
dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man
became a living soul. Now in
this verse we see God bringing forth His own Life and placing it in man through
His breath. Now you do not breath out through your
ears, but through your mouth. You say, "Not always so! You breathe out
your nose as well!" But have you ever seen a person receive breath from
someone's nose? You don't use your nose to give resuscitation do you? You use
your mouth. And God breathed into Adam the Breath of Lives. Life, coming forth from God
through His own Mouth. And what is the Mouth of the Lord? It's His Word!
In the Book of [JOB 33:4]We see the same scene again take place, The Spirit of God hath made me, and the
breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Now if Job has the same testimony as Adam,
then what about you and I? Doesn't the Bible tell us
that in the witness of two or three let all things be established? What is the
breath of God anyway?
In [ 1 Timothy
3: 16] we read, all Scripture is God breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in right wise ness, that the man of
God might be thoroughly furnished unto all good works. So we see that the breath of God is His own
Word coming forth. Now isn't it strange that we see that In
the beginning the Word was with Him and in Him and in this Word is Life and the
Life is the Light of man. So then if the Life is in the Word, then we see that
we must receive what is in the Word in order to have Life. In [1 Peter
[John 17:3] And this is
life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ,
whom thou hast sent. And so we find that God's Own Life is imparted to us
through His Very Own Word. We are
quickened or made alive by the Life giving power of His Own Word. And that
brings us to point #2 ) Brother Branham said, "His sons in the Word age quickened
by the Spirit like a spark that's
lit off of something to make it alive. Now in examining this
thought here, we must look again at what is being said, and we must begin by breaking it
down. Notice he said, "His sons (#1) in the Word age (#2)
quickened (#3) by the Spirit (#4) like a spark that's lit (#5) off of something (#6) to make it alive. (#7)
Now here we find ourselves looking at an event in which seven pieces
must come together in order for this event to take place. . (#1) We are dealing
with "His sons (#2) we find
the season for this event when we hear him tell us in the Word age (#3) we see what the event is itself,
when it is described as a quickening (#4) tells us Who does this
quickening when he says, by the Spirit (#5) describes what this quickening
is like and the way in which it happens when he uses the words, like a spark that's lit off (#6) tells us that it
doesn't come forth of Itself but there is another that is the driving force
behind this event when he says that it is lit off of something (#7)
tells us what the end result of this quickening or being lit off is supposed to
produce when he says, to
make it alive. Now we
could probably stop right here and you will have a good understanding already
of what Brother But in order to really nail this down, let's take each of these
seven pieces of this statement and examine each of them as to how they fit
together to describe this blessed event.
(#1) We are dealing with "His sons. God's very own Sons, (Plural). Now first of all we must understand that a
son is a male offspring, and as a male he is also a carrier of the same Life
from which he has been begat. So what we see is a continuation of the same life
coming forth from a manifestation of that life. [ I John 3:1] Behold, what manner of love the Father hath
bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world
knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we
know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as
he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth
himself, even as he is pure. notice we are already
sons, and if sons then we have in us the same life of the Father and if so,
then we have His attributes and characteristics and even His very nature within
us by birth. [ Acts 17: 28-29] For in him we
live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have
said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as
we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like
unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
[ Romans 8: 14 - 32] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
they are the sons of God. For ye have
not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the
Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children
of God: And if children, then heirs;
heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him],
that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of
this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall
be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the
creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who
hath subjected [the same] in hope, Because the
creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the
glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain
together until now. And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within
ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body. For
we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we
see not, [then] do we with patience wait for [it]. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth
our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the
Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints
acccording to [the will of] God. And we know that all
things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called
according to [his] purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate
[to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among
many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom
he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also
glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can
be] against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all,
how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? This scripture
deals with sons and all the benefits of being a Son of God.
[ II Corinthians
[Galatians 4: 1-7] Now I say, [That] the heir, as
long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a
servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors
and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were
children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made
of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that
were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye
are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying,
Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a
son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
[ Philippians 2: 14 - 16] [Philippians 2:1-18] For it is God which worketh in you both
to will and to do of [his] good pleasure. Do all things without
murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless
and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and
perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the
word of life;
[ Hebrews 2: 1 - 18] The relationship of brotherhood Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to
the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let [them] slip. For
if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every
transgression and disobedience received a just recompence
of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the
first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that
heard [him]; God also bearing [them] witness, both with signs and wonders, and
with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own
will? For unto the angels hath he not
put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is
man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man,
that thou visitest him? Thou madest
him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst
him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the
works of thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For
in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing [that is] not put
under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus,
who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned
with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God
should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom [are] all things,
and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the
captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified [are] all of one:
for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare
thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto
thee. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the
children which God hath given me.
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also
himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him
that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through
fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took
not on [him the nature of] angels; but he took on [him] the seed of Abraham.
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made
like unto [his] brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest
in things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the
people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted,
he is able to succour them that are tempted.
[ Hebrews 12: 7-8] chastisement is how God deals with sons If ye
endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons;
for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye
bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which
corrected [us], and we gave [them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For
they verily for a few days chastened [us] after their own pleasure; but he for
[our] profit, that [we] might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening
for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous:
nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable
fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
(#2) we find the season for
this event when we hear him tell us in the Word age [John
[ 2Thessalonians
[ Revelations 10: 1 - 7] And I saw
another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow
[was] upon his head, and his face [was] as it were the sun, and his feet as
pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his
right foot upon the sea, and [his] left [foot] on the earth, And cried with a
loud voice, as [when] a lion roareth: and when he had
cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. And when the seven thunders had
uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven
saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and
write them not. And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth
lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the
things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and
the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to
sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his
servants the prophets.
[ 1 Corinthians 13: 9 - 12] from seeing
through a mirror of the Word darkly to seeing through with an understanding. For we know in part, and we
prophesy in part. But when
that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a
child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see
through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then
shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth
faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these
[is] charity.
[ Acts 3: 19 - 23] Repent ye
therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times
of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before
was preached unto you: Whom the heaven
must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath
spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. For Moses
truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you
of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he
shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, [that] every soul, which will
not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
[ Malachi 4: 5 - 6] Behold, I will send you Elijah
the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he
shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children
to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
[ Joel 3 23-29] Be glad then,
ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you
the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain,
the former rain, and the latter rain in the first [month]. And the floors shall
be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will
restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the
caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye
shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people
shall never be ashamed. And ye shall
know that I [am] in the midst of
(#3) we see what the event is
itself, when it is described as a quickening
comes from Grrek word to make alive or
give life to. [Ephesians 2: 1 - 10] And you [hath he quickened], who were dead
in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course
of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that
now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among
whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh,
fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the
children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great
love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us
together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised [us] up
together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus: That
in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding
riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by
grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift
of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them.
[ Colossians 2: 1-15] For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and [for]
them at Laodicea, and [for] as many as have not seen
my face in the flesh; That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together
in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the
acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In
whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest any man should beguile
you with enticing words. For though I be absent in the
flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and
beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your
faith in Christ. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk
ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding
therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and
vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and
not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him,
which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised
with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins
of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein
also ye are risen with [him] through the faith of the operation of God, who
hath raised him from the dead. And you,
being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of
your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all
trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us,
which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; [And] having
spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of
them openly, triumphing over them in it.
(#4) tells us Who does this
quickening when he says, by the Spirit [ Romans 8: 9 - 14] But ye are not in
the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now
if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none
of his. And if Christ [be] in you, the
body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of
righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead
shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth
in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after
the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the
Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led
by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
[ 1 Peter 3 :
18] For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust,
that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened
by the Spirit:
(#5) describes what this
quickening is like and the way in which it happens when he uses the words,
like a spark that's lit off [
1 Corinthians
(#6) tells
us that it doesn't come forth of Itself but there is another that is the
driving force behind this event when he
says that it is lit off of something. [ Colossians 3: 4] When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear
with him in glory.
[ 2 Peter 1: 1 - 4] Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that
have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and
our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you
through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine
power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and
godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and
virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that
by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature
[ 1 John 1: 1 -
4] That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have
seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of
the Word of life; (For
the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father,
and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and
truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
(#7) tells us what the end result of this quickening or being lit off is
supposed to produce when he says,
to make it alive. [II Timothy 1:10] But is now made manifest by the appearing of
our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and
immortality to light through the gospel: [Ephesians 5:8] For ye were
sometimes darkness, but now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of
light: 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for
whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Look up pp. 219 where he said, "He's never at any
time, ever vindicated anything in any church outside of the Message that was
given them!"
