Follow Me #13,

( Your Choice)

Sunday Morning, May 3, 1998

Rev Brian Kocourek

Last week when we examined the subject of obedience vs. works, we read from paragraph 137 where brother Branham said, 137 You must make a choice. Your choice will determine what your eternal destination will be. Remember, Jesus asks each one of us, "Follow Me if you want Life." See? Leadership, "Follow Me, and you will have Everlasting Life." And I'm sure even to us adults, we get something out of this too. If you want Life, you have to accept It. If you want religion, you accept it if you want. What you have to do, what you accept, that's what you get.

Now, I would like to examine this thought here because there is a great debate between those who believe in predestination to the point of God shoving you through a tube verses those who believe that your election and salvation is totally left up to you as an  individual and your choice is what really matters. In others words, these think that your choice is the only thing that really counts, and without your choice, you never would be saved.

But then what do you do with [Proverbs 14:12] that tells you, There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Or what about what [Jeremiah 10:23] which tells us, O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself, It is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. Now, if man can not even direct his own steps, then how will he ever on his own be able to choose the right way. And in fact when he chooses the way which seems right to himself, it is the way of death. Then do you think God would ever leave it up to you or I to make our own decisions that would affect our own eternal destination? Now, I know what you may be thinking. How could a vindicated Prophet say one thing and the Scripture speak another. It can’t be, and you are right. Then is brother Branham saying here what we think he is saying? I don’t think so.

Now, we read this morning from paragraph 137 where brother Branham appears to be telling us that your choice is a very important thing, and that your choice will determine your eternal destination. In another place brother Branham appears to be telling us that free moral agency is the prime factor in your being saved. at least that is what it appears to be from a quick reading.

E-15  GOD'S COVENANT WITH ABRAHAM 56-0223

Now, Jesus didn't come to Calvary just for a haphazard thought, "Well, I'll die up there; perhaps maybe somebody will feel sorry for me and come down and get saved." No, no, God don't run His office like that. You don't run your office like that. Jesus come for one specific purpose: that was to redeem those that God foreknew would be redeemed. See?  Now, God's not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance. But in order to be God, He had to know... Now, the word "predestinate," as is used in Ephesians 1:5, predestinate there, isn't a good word. It means, in speaking of predestination to the people sometimes leads them to think that God just predestinated you to push you through a little pipe, or something. That's not right. Predestination looks back to foreknowledge. And foreknowledge looks to destiny. 16  Therefore, God being God before the foundation of the world knew that who would be saved and who would not. Romans 8, He could say that He hated Esau and loved Jacob before either child was born. For by foreknowledge He knowed what a little shyster that Esau would be, and how He would save Jacob. So therefore, by foreknowledge God knew those things (See?), foreknowledge.  So then, look now I'm basing something. Wish we had about three or four hours on this one subject, but we haven't; we just have to hit the high places. And notice, now by foreknowledge God knew, and He did say that there will be a Church. 17 Now, talking, bring it right up to the age of eternal security here. I do believe in eternal security in this way: I believe that the Church has eternal security. And as long as you are in the Church, you are secured with the Church. Do you get it? As long as you are in the Church, you are secured with the Church. You get it?   Now, then how do we get into the Church? By joining? No, by one Spirit we're all baptized into one Body, not Methodist, not Baptist, not Pentecostal, but by one Spirit: I Corinthians 12, "We're all baptized into one fellowship." And in there, as long as we're in this fellowship, the Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us continually.  God looking through the red as we had last night, sees you and it's a red sinner, but sees you white through red.   18 Then God foreknowing, and there will be... The Church is going to be, whether you are in It, or I am in It; It will appear before God without spot or without wrinkle. God's done said so, and that settles it forever. Now, He never said, "In this church will be William Branham."  He said, "The Church would be there, and she would be a glorious Church, washed in the Blood, ironed out, and would be without spot or wrinkle."

Now, it's up to me whether I want to stay in that Church or not. Not... He didn't say He would predestinate me, and I'd be sure to be there, but He give me the assurance if I was with this group I would be there, or if I was in Christ Jesus, which is the Bride, I would be there. 19   Now, that brings us down to election now. Now, God by foreknowledge could set election. Therefore, when He called Abraham... Who was Abraham? Abraham was no more than any other man. He came down from Babylon with his father, and his wife Sarah, which was his half sister; and He dwelled in the city of Ur, in the plains, and the valley of Shinar there.  And supposingly, of the morning he went out and picked some berries and eat them; at noon he went into bush and killed meat, and lived a pretty long life, they did in those days, with the way his diet was considered and everything. And they did live a long life.

20 But notice, Abraham was no different from no one else. But God by election called Abraham, for he was no more than anyone else. Now, watch the four patriarchs: Abraham is justification. We have stayed two weeks on that, or Abraham, I beg your pardon, Abraham is election. Isaac represents justification. Jacob grace, anyone knows that, Jacob grace, and Joseph perfection. Election, justification, and grace, and perfection, not an aught against Joseph anywhere.  But now, Abraham was called of God by election, or foreknowledge, knowing that Abraham would walk before God. And that's the only reason tonight, by the same way... How many Christians are here lets see your hands, all over the building everywhere? Why are you a Christian? Because God elected you. Amen.  I hope you see it. God said... Jesus said, "No man can come to the Father except by Me, and no man cometh unto Me except the Father draws him first." Is that right? 21 So if the Father has drawn you, it's God's foreknowledge of election. "And all that comes unto Me, I'll give them everlasting Life, and will raise him up at the last day." God gave the promise. What you worried about?  Now, notice just a moment. Now, we see in the election that God, calling Abraham... And notice, the first thing when God calls a man, He calls for total separation from the world. "Separate yourself, Abraham," as soon as he got his call. Now, here it is. Every Christian in here that's born again, when God called you, called for total separation. If He didn't, you got the wrong call. See?

22  God doesn't make any difference between His children. Every son that cometh to God must first be tried or chastised. You get it? First be tried, or chastened, corrected, child trained, schooled, everyone not one exception, every son... Have you went through trials? Have you went through tribulation? Have you suffered persecution? Then you're endure these things, you are real children of God.  But when you can't bear chastisement, when the rod comes down heavy, and you run off and back into the world, the Bible said you're illegitimate children and not the children of God. For when a man's born of the Spirit of God, he expects those things, and he loves those things.  And the Bible said that the trials that come upon us, fiery trials, is more precious than gold to us. Think of it.  23  So, you see these with these ups-and-downs, they've never been there at the first place. See? They just a make believe. Amen. Salvation is for believers, not unbelievers, or make believers. It's for true genuine believers. And it's not a case of law, and God's going to make you do something; it's because you love to do it.  When I leave my wife to come on this trip, I don't have to say, "Now, looky here, Mrs. Branham, you are a married woman. Thou shalt not have any husbands before thee, while I am gone. Yet thou shalt not do this and do that."  And she turned right around with the law to me as a married woman and say, "Now, Billy, you'll not have any more wives before you while you're gone." No, that's not the idea; this is a love affair.

24  I go to her, and I say, "Sweetheart, the Lord calls me to go preach the Gospel." Kiss her good-bye and say, "Pray for me, honey, God bless you." Away we go. I don't think nothing about home, and whether she's doing this or that. Neither does she, because we love one another.  And as long as we love another like that, don't worry, it'll be all right. And if I serve Christ just to escape hell, hard to tell what I'll do, but if I love Him... Oh, I wouldn't do nothing against my poor little old wife for nothing in the world. Bless her heart, I--I love her. I'd do everything I can to please her.

There is an old expression that says, God will never make you go against your will, He just makes you willing to go. You remember during the first Exodus, God said that He was sending the people into the Land flowing with Milk and Honey and they were to drive out the inhabitants of the land and then go in and possess the land for themselves.  Well, God also said He would harden their hearts against Israel, and the people would not want to leave. So then God said, I will send in the hornets and drive them out so they will want to leave.

[Exodus 23:28-30] And that is the way God works, little by little.. And so we are looking at our choice. And we see that brother Branham said, Your choice will determine what your eternal destination will be. Now there are two words here that we must know in order to understand what Brother Branham is saying to us and those two words are Choice and determine. He said your choice will determine what you eternal destination will be. Now the word choice according to Webster is => the act of choosing, selection. In other words, what you select will determine your eternal destination. And now what does the word destination mean...=> is the place to where someone is going or being sent. Therefore what Brother Branham is telling us is that what you choose determines where you will be going. Now that is perfectly logical and I agree 100% with this statement, and I had better because we are not just listening to words of a man here, but these are words of  a vindicated Prophet. But now, just because he says this he is not telling you that you have the choice that will place you in heaven or the choice that will place you in hell.

He is simply telling you that you are identified with your choice. The path you take is a determining factor in where you are headed. And that again is a very logical statement. But this does not mean that you determine your own destiny. He is not saying that. For Jesus said, “No man can come to Me except the Father which hath sent me, draw Him.”  Then you can’t come on your own. It has to come from God 1st.

139-1 SMYRNAEAN CHURCH AGE --   THE HOLY SPIRIT IN EVERY AGE   Revelation 2:11, "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." There is not one church age where this verse is not mentioned. Every single age has the same admonition to the people of every age. "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith." But it is absolutely impossible for all men to hear what the Spirit says to the different ages. I Corinthians 2:6-16, "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught; but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit Which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth; but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are Spiritually discerned. But he that is Spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ." Matthew 13:13-16, "Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing, see not; and hearing, they hear not; neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear." John 8:37, ye seek to kill me because My word hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen with my Father and you do that which you have seen with your Father. 42-44, "Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from God: neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do ye not understand My speech? even because ye cannot hear My Word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth , ye believe me not. which of you can convince me of sin.? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God’s Words: Ye therefor hear them not, because ye are not of God." It is most evident from these Scriptures that no man of himself can hear God. That ability has to be given him of God. Matthew 16:17, "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona; for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but My Father Which is in heaven."

Putting these verses together we see that there is only one group of people, and that a very special group of people who are able to hear what the Spirit says in each age. It is one special group that receives the revelation for each age. That group is of God, because the group that cannot hear is not of God. (John 8:42-44.) The group that can and does hear what the Spirit is saying and receives the revelation thereof is that group described in I Corinthians 2:6-16. They are the ones who have the Spirit of God. They are the ones that are born of God. They are baptized into the body of the Lord Jesus Christ by His Spirit. They are baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Now, brother Branham also said, E-28  Marriage of the Lamb  "She has made herself ready." So many says, "If the Lord will take this evil spirit from me, from drinking, or from gambling, or from lying, or stealing, I'll serve Him." But that's up to you. You got to do something too. "They that overcome shall inherit all things," they that overcome. You have power to do it, but you must be willing to lay it down. See? She has made herself ready. I like that Word.  You see, God could not push us through a little pipe, pull us out on the other end, and then say, "Blessed is he that overcometh." You had nothing to overcome; He just pushed you through. But you've got to make decisions for yourself. I have to make decisions for myself. In doing that, we show our faith and respects to God.

Now, then what is predestination all about if you are not pushed through a tube? The best illustration I can think of is like a seed. A seed has everything it will ever need right in it to begin with. And according to Genesis 1:11 every seed must come forth according to its kind, or nature. Then the very life and nature of the thing that the seed is to be is already in that seed to begin with. But the seed must be planted in the right ground, and then it must be watered and then it must lay in the presence of the Sun to ripen. And that is the same way with us. We are pre-destined to come to the image of His Son. [Romans 8:29-30] For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate ( that means to be determined before hand) [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

So if we are predestined to conform to an image and yet we are not shoved through a tube, then it has to be like a seed. God places in you beforehand everything you will ever need, but like all seeds you can’t do it on your own. You need to be quickened. Therefore the quickening is not left up to you, but up to God through His Son Jesus Christ, [John 5:26 & 21] For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth [them]; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. So the quickening is not up to you but up tot he Son.

Now, in getting back to what Brother Branham said, He said that we have a choice and our choice will determine where we end up. Now again let’s look at this statement a little closer. Our choice or selection shows or points the way to where we will end up. Right? Now that is true. But Who gives you your choice. Did not Jesus tell Peter that what He said did not come from man, but from God? Did not we read that the Spirit of man can not understand the things of God, and that it takes the Spirit of God to understand those things from God? Then where do you get your choice from? Do you make it up in your little minds? I don’t think so, but you do identify with your choice. Remember when we heard brother Branham tell us that we are only a reflection of where we are going? From The message Healing and Jairus He said,          “What you are here is a reflection of what you are somewhere else. "Those who He called, He justifies." Is that right? "Those who He justified, He has glorified. “Already in the Presence of the Father, we have a glorified body. Whew! Wasn't that deep? All right. We'll find out whether it's right or not. "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting." Is that right? That's right. So right now,  what we are here, is a reflection of what we are somewhere else. So if your deeds are evil, you know where it comes from. You know where your other body's a waiting.

So what we are is a reflection of what we are somewhere else, right? And what are we a reflection of?

[Genesis 1: 26]  Iraneaus said, We--who were but lately created by the only best and good Being, by Him also who has the gift of immortality, having been formed after His likeness (predestinated, according to the prescience of the Father, that we, who had as yet no existence, might come into being), . For inasmuch as He had a pre-existence as a saving Being, it was necessary that what might be saved should also be called into existence, in order that the Being who saves should not exist in vain.

In other words, God being a Savior, it was necessary for Him to predestinate a sinner in order to give himself a purpose of being. And so we See the Great unfolding of God.

In the beginning was GOD. And in Him were attributes to be a savior, and healer and protector and etc, etc. etc. But in order for His existence to not be in vain, He had to devise a plan to express Himself.

Brother Branham said when a man takes a woman to be his wife and when he takes her to his bosom, she makes an imprint and no other woman will fit that imprint.

Now notice in God were all these positive attributes, but when He created man He had to allow Him to be created in such a way as to fall. So man was brought forth in a negative.

16-4  SERPENT’S SEED   V-2 N-4  58-0928E  And when a man takes to himself a wife, and if she's correctly his wife, a God-given wife, she'll be just to him as part of him.  That's the reason you have so many scruples in the marriage. Is because you go out and see some girl with pretty brown eyes, or blue eyes, or something like that, some pretty figure, and you fall for her. First time she has her first baby them teeth comes out, and she gets wrinkled and old, and then you want to kick her out.  And some of you women find some little boy with his hair slicked down, his mammy's lard can half dumped on it, and curly; it'll all fall out. I know that by experience. But what happens? What is it? You fall for that. You ought to pray first, 'cause a woman is part of you.  And if you've embraced a woman to your bosom, and taken her for your wife, and she makes an imprint on you... (We'll say it like this so you'll understand) and any other woman against that bosom won't fit that print. And God will hold you responsible for it. You just remember that.

E-27  INNER MAN   53-1212  Like that light. You take the one wire off, negative or positive. It certainly won't work. That's all. it's got to have the ground. It's got to be grounded good, and it's got to have the right type of wire and everything and it'll pack the current; that's all it needs.  Well, if we're really grounded in Christ (See?), with the Holy Ghost in us, and rooted and grounded in the faith of God, it'll certainly pack the Light of the Gospel to the world. That's right. It'll heal the sick; it'll do great works.

119  ENTICING SPIRITS   DE 79-112  55-0724  It's a negative and positive. No matter how much positive this current runs here, if it hasn't got a ground wire it'll never light. That's right. You've got to be rooted, grounded in the love of God. Oh, brother, bring that negative and positive together and you'll have a light, the good old fashion Gospel light spread from shore to shore. You'll never have it without it, no matter how much shaking and jumping you can do with a positive. You've got to have the ground wire to flash the light. Amen.

E-55  JEHOVAH JIREH   56-0224 And we live in the negative. But when it's developed to the positive... Amen. What's you scared about? Amen.

E-15  LIFE STORY   51-0722A   This is just the negative, the shadow, and someday that death shall develop the picture from the negative to the positive.

E-9  EXPECTANCY   53-1108E   Faith knows no defeat. Faith is perfect. Faith brings things when there is no things to be brought. Faith creates. Faith takes doubt away, takes negative and makes positive. How beautiful.

E-6  DOCTOR MOSES   55-0114  Now, my work for the Lord is to try to bring that person up to this level where their faith becomes, not negative, but positive.

E-13  CHRIST   55-0221  if I see my shadow on the wall, I can pretty near tell what I'm going to look like when the negative and positive comes together. So all the Old Testament was a shadow of the New. If they had the shadow, we got the positive. See? They had the negative; we've got the positive. They had the picture in a negative; we've got it in a positive, after it's been developed at Calvary. Amen. And we went to Calvary with the Lamb.

E-19  GIFTS   56-1207  That's my theme, is love. Law works fear. Law is negative; works is negative. But love is positive. See? It's absolutely positive. You can trust anybody when they love you, not because they fear you, but because they love you.

16-104  HEBREWS CHAPTER 1   HEB  57-0821  In other words, if you're looking at the shadow, the negative, you might make a mistake; but this is developed. The picture's clear. That was by the prophet; this is by His Son. That was by a negative; this is by a positive. Amen. You see it? And there isn't a chance to lose. It's a positive thing: this day through His Son. Oh, how wonderful.

E-40  ABRAHAM’S COVENANT CONFIRMED   61-0210   Look at my hand on a shadow on the wall. When it's away from me, it's scattered out. As it comes, it becomes more closer. There's not a great big fingers, it's getting smaller and smaller and smaller, getting darker, darker, and darker, until the shadow, the negative and the positive becomes one. And that's the way it is in the coming, the church has got to shape itself till it hasn't got a spot or wrinkle in it. Amen. There is that second Bible.

128  ELIJAH AND MEAL OFFERING   V-9 N-4  60-0310 That during the days of Luther, we lived by justification. During the days of Wesley, we lived by sanctification, the church become in the minority. In the days of Pentecost we've lived down through the baptism of the Holy Ghost and the restoration of the gifts. Now, we're really in the minority, the coming of the Son of God. Here they believed by faith; here they shouted under sanctification; here they spoke in tongues as a gift; but now the negative and positive, and the--the cap's coming on the pyramid; and it's the end time, when the Christ and His Church is so much alike till it's going to call the dead from the Methodist, Lutheran, and all those back there, and there'll be a resurrection. Them that fell asleep in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh watch, will rise one of these days to meet Jesus in the skies. The hour has arrived, friends, the coming of the Lord is at hand.

E-26  UNCERTAIN SOUND   61-0429E  This is just a negative, a picture, negative, waiting for it to be developed someday. And death is the only thing that can develop it.  When you die out to yourself, a new picture starts on the inside. And then that new creature, Christ Jesus, begins to show itself through. And one of these days, He will come and receive you up to Himself. Then the whole thing will be changed. And then this negative shadow will become a positive.

E-121  SIGN OF HIS COMING   62-0407  This stump's growed from Luther, to Wesley, to Pentecost; and now is honing out those Pentecostals, and those that's got the baptism of the Holy Ghost. And shall come someday the headstone, Christ Jesus, in these last days... And we'll have to have a ministry just exactly like His--His whole Spirit as it gets closer, closer, closer, closer. The negative becomes so positive that after while the negative and positive blends together, Church and Christ to make one: for we're flesh of His flesh and bone of His bone. Amen. You believe it? "It shall be Light in the evening time." Amen. We're here today. You believe it? Sorry to keep you this long. Let us pray.

219  TOTAL SEPARATION FROM UNBELIEF   V-3 N-20  64-0121  This ministry will end soon, and the expected Son will appear, Himself. The Church has come from justification through the Lutheran, sanctification through the Wesleyans, into the baptism of the Holy Ghost through the Pentecostals, and now winding up to the Headstone ministry, typing all the time right into that perfect negative shadow becoming positive, then Jesus will come to catch His Church someday, those who believe.  Separate yourself from unbelief and believe tonight. Will you do it?

103  TURN ON THE LIGHT   V-22 N-3  64-0125  Like my hand here in a shadow. It's a shadow, only it's darker as my hand becomes more... It's a negative here, a positive here. As a negative and positive, it gets denser, and darker, darker, darker, and finally it claps together, and negative and positive becomes one.  That's when Church and Christ unites together as a Bride, with the same Spirit that was in Him will be upon Her, when that Church comes from justification, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Ghost, into the last days, and honing her down now for the coming of the Lord.  Oh, don't be the rough part on It, Pentecostal brother. Shine up with the Word and believe every bit of It. Don't get out into these ism's and things, as we see going on today. Don't be astonished at that, because the Headstone's coming, crying, "Abba, Father," pretty soon, "My God. My God." Yes, I believe that with all my heart.  Do you see it? You know what I mean? It's Christ now taking the rags of yesterday, the Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and so forth, and He's putting it through a process. What kind of a process? A process of the Holy Spirit: what they had plus, making it till He is pressing His Own image, when the Church and Christ becomes one in union. God, grant it. I trust that you see it. If you do see it...

13  SIRS WE WOULD SEE JESUS   V-19 N-8  64-0304  Now, if you were in His thinking at the beginning, if you've got Eternal Life, there's only one form of Eternal Life, Eternal Life had no beginning and it has no ending. So if you have Eternal Life, you were an attribute of God's thinking before there was anything but Him.  Your form, your shape, and what you're in now, is just a negative, when you come up to the--around twenty, twenty-two years old. You were a negative, and death develops the picture to the positive, that when this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting. See?

120  SIRS WE WOULD SEE JESUS   V-19 N-8  64-0304  The shadow, the negative and the positive coming so close together, till after while there'll be a uniting time.

E-11  JESUS KEEPS ALL OF HIS APPOINTMENTS   64-0418E  Just like this, when my shadow here of my hand... If I never seen my hand, seen the shadow, it kinda... It gets pale as it gets away. But as it gets closer and closer, the negative and positive are coming together, until they both become the same thing. And that's exactly when the church and the Word has to be one, like Jesus and God was one, just exactly.  God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. And so will Christ have to be in the church, the anointed of the Word, to make everything fulfilled. And that's the capstone that comes upon the last church age, the... Not the Laodicea, now, it's a calling out of that, a Bride out of a church, Church out of a church, in otherwise, just like He called a nation out of a nation in Egypt. And now we're living in that day, and we're grateful for these great things that we've been seeing.

11  MASTERPIECE THE   V-4 N-7  64-0705  So we--we realize that we're here in a negative form. And as long as there is a negative, there has to be a positive. There cannot be a negative without a positive (See?), because it's because of the positive that makes the negative. Like you had a negative picture of some object. There has to be an object somewhere or it--to strike--the light strike that lens or there wouldn't be any--any negative. So when we see that our life here is in the negative and knowing that we're in the image of some life somewhere, then we know that there is a positive somewhere that the light has struck, and it's reflected something here on earth. And we are only that reflection. The genuine object is somewhere. If that isn't, I'm the worst deceived man in the world; I've spent my life in vain. But I know beyond a shadow of doubt that it's there. That's why we're here.

1066-21  QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS   COD  64-0830M  This is the negative. The negative part of life is where you're living now. And anything, if there is a negative, there's got to be a positive before there can be a negative. Therefore, if this is a negative, there's got to be a positive somewhere. And this ain't the real thing; this is only a foreshadow of the real thing that is to come. Now you got it?

36 GOD’S CHOSEN PLACE WORSHIP   V-5 N-7  65-0220  Now, when a shadow comes across the floor, you can tell whether it's man, woman, or beast, or whatever it might be, because it casts a shadow upon the floor. And as that shadow gets shorter, the shadow being the negative... And there cannot be a negative without a positive; therefore, when the positive becomes closer to the negative, the negative is swallowed up in the positive. The shadow and the--and the positive comes together, and that's what makes it then a--the positive. And if all the old things the Bible said in the Old Testament was shadows of the things to come, then therefore, Christ was the shadow of things to come.  So we can see by the Old Testament types where He chose to put His Name and to--where now. Now, as the shadow is a--crosses the floor, I said, is the negative, being a type, so we, the worshippers also can see the shadows of the Old Testament fading into the positive of the New.

62  ANOINTED ONES AT END TIME   V-5 N-3  65-0725M  Now, we're told that all the old things happened for examples, for our teaching, reproofs, admonitions; that all the old things of the Old Testament happened, foreshadowed to see what would be in the New Testament in our days. Just like, if you'd never seen your hand and you looked up and you seen a shadow on the wall (as my hand would be from the light), if it's got five fingers here in a shadow, when the negative--and you move your hands towards being the positive towards the negative, it's got to come to five fingers. As the Bible tells us, that the Old Testament being a shadow, type, of the new things, or the things that was to come, not the very things that is, but it is a shadow, a type of the things that is to come.
