Masterpiece Number 31

Understanding and what is Sin no. 2

October 30, 2005

Pastor, Brian Kocourek

1. This morning, we will continue with the thought we brought out last night concerning “understanding and what is sin”.  As yo9u may recall, last night we showed you that sin is not only unbelief, but also it is willful ignorance. We also went into a series of Scriptures and quotes showing how that God wants for us to have an understanding but only those who are ordained to it, will understand.

2. Daniel prophesied that in the end time the elect will understand. The Apostle Paul told us that God has ordained for His elect to understand, and Jesus said that no man can come to God except he first be taught of God.

3. We found where the Holy Ghost brings an anointing upon the believer and anoints them with an understanding, so that they might Know Him.

4. We also found that the unbeliever is not ordained to understand and therefore, they are left to their own understanding and thus they miss the mark which is sin.

5. This morning I would like to continue with this thought and we will read first from, Ephesians 4: 18 again because this thought that the Apostle Paul tells us here is of utmost importance for us to understand. He said,  Having their understanding darkened, they become  alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

6. So we see here that the darkening of their understanding means their understanding goes further and further away from light as time goes on, that in the process they are alienating themselves from the very Life of God. Why? Because God dwelleth in the Light. Now, why is this possible? Because they are walking away from the light instead of into it. And if you walk in the Light as He is in the Light, you have fellowship with one another and the Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses you from all sin. So to walk from the light throws you into utter darkness and there is not blood to cleanse you. And further more it shows you are trying to hide something.

7 John 3: 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

8. Now the very fact that they love darkness rather than light shows they do not want eternal life, and have no desire for it, even though they might wish to live forever, but they would never stand to live for God forever. Oh, no, they wouldn’t stand for that. And so they depart from the light.

9. John   8: 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Therefore to follow Jesus is to follow after the Light of Life.

10. John   12: 35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

11. Notice again that Jesus is telling us that they who would walk in darkness just don’t know. They have no understanding of where hey are walking. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that if you walk in darkness you can’t see where you are going. And therefore there is only one light to follow, and that is the Light of the hour.

12. Again in John   1: 5 we see how that those that are in darkness do not have any understanding, or in this case comprehension which is the same thing.  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

13. And we are told that this light is actually the Life of Christ reflecting itself out to the believer. John   1: 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Now, what does that mean? It means that without the Life of Christ Jesus being manifested to us as He did, we would have no clue as to the expectations of God and our relationship with the Father, and the role that we have to play out in this life and the world to come.

14. For you see, we are told in 1 John 5: 20 “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, (that we may know who that is true? That we may know God the Only True God.. And this relationship that Jesus had with the Father and his words to us concerning that relationship helps us to also have relationship with God as our Father and to know and understand the role that God has called for us to play as obedient sons. And then John says, ) and we are in him that is true, (Notice first he tells us that the Son of God came to give us an understanding of the only True God, and then He tells us that in the course of coming to this understanding we also recognize that we are also in God as Christ was In God and that we thus are in Christ as well. Notice he follows this being in God that is True with,) even in his Son Jesus Christ. (then he tells us that this one that Christ was in and that we are in is the True God and the author of eternal Life)This is the true God, and eternal life.”

15. From hi sermon, God keeps His Word 57-0407M P:34 Brother Branham said, After hundreds of years of the supernatural being gone, he showed that God was still living and God had sent him and said, "Go tell them that I AM has sent you." Not "I was," or "I will be," "I AM (a present tense.)" He didn't say, "I was." How people can claim God, and say that the days of miracles are past, and Divine healing and all the blessings are gone, and still say He is the living God, and the I AM. If He's, I AM, He's just as real as He was at the burning bush. That great Name that He appeared there, and no scholar yet has ever been able to interpret it. J-v-h-u, no one, they call it Jehovah, but it wasn't. No on can interpret it. Why? It's the eternal One. Amen. He dwells in the Light; He dwells in eternity. He calls it, immortality, the everlasting I AM. Hallelujah.

16. Now, notice that Brother Branham tells us that God dwells in the Light. But notice also that he tells us that there was a name for God that was spelled J-V-H-U and notice further that He said, no man could pronounce it. Then why do we have groups of believers in this Message claiming to be able to pronounce the name of God.

17. I will never forget an old friend of mine was taking Hebrew in College and one day he comes to my home and he is literally dancing in the spirit he is so happy. And he tells me that he just found out how to pronounce the name of God. I said, oh, brother that’s nothing new. I know how to pronounce the name of God?  And then he seemed a bit taken back and he said, “You do?” and I said, yes, brother, it’s [pronounced JEEESUSSSS, and then I said Jehovah of the Old is Jesus of the New. A vindicated Prophet told us that.  Then he said, no, no, no. It’s not pronounced Jehovah, it’s pronounced Yuh-hu-vah! Well, I had to hold back a chuckle when he told me that. To him it was a great revelation, but to me it was education gone amuck.

18. And why do we have people running off after that kind of stimulation? The answer is very simple. They want to think that they have something that no one else has. And so they have run after this name pronunciation gimmick which a vindicated prophet said no man can know how to pronounce it. So if they claim to believe the prophet why do they insist they have the right pronunciation when it is no even necessary to know because no man can pronounce it anyway. That is why when God gave us the pronunciation it was pronounced as JEEESUSSS!

19. Now, in getting back to our topic, understanding and what is sin, we told you that sin is unbelief. People drink and smoke and chase and talk dirty because they don’t believe they will have to give an account for what they say and do. But Jesus told us that every idle word we say we will have to given an count of it one say.

20. Matthew 12: 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

21. And brother Branham said in, Questions and answers COD 54-0103E P:69 20. All right, II Timothy 2 and 16 reads like this. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. Yes. All right. You want to know what the profane babbling is. "Profane--shun profane babblings, for they will increase." Now, the first thing is, "profane babbling, for they shall increase." Now, anything that just keeps babbling.  Jesus said, "Let your yes be yes and your no be no, for anything more than this will come to sin." You're not supposed even to joke and cutup with one another. God will make you give an account for every idle word that you speak. Did you know that? The Bible said that you'll have to give an account for every idle word. So what kind of a people ought we to be? People that's frank, stern, loving, kind, and never a bunch of nonsense, always going along...

22. Jesus keeps all of his appointments 64-0418E P:103 What is a sinner? Not them who smoke. Smoking's not a sin; drinking's not a sin. Cursing is not a sin. Committing adultery's not a sin. No, no. That's attributes of unbelief. You do that because you're not a believer. There's only two: one, you are a believer, or you're not a believer. If you're not a believer, no matter how religious you are, you're still a sinner. You're still a sinner, if you don't accept every Word of that Bible, every Word of it. For both heavens and earth will pass away, but not one jot or one tittle will pass from that. And we'll give an account for it. You say, "Well, I belong to church. My people don't..." That don't matter. "I do this." I don't care what you've done. You're either a believer or a sinner. That's pretty strong. But I'm just saying this because the same One that knows the hearts of you, is telling me to say it. Are you finished? I see a few more coming. I'm just waiting, 'cause I don't know if... There might be somebody else. Just one moment.

When their eyes were opened 56-0420 P:7 What is sin? Unbelief. Smoking, drinking, committing adultery, lying, stealing, that's not sin. That's the attributes of sin. You do that because you're an unbeliever. If you was a believer you wouldn't do that. See? Just because you quit drinking, and quit smoking, and quit drinking, and committing adultery, that doesn't make you a Christian. You're a Christian because you are a believer. See? You are a sinner be... You do the things that you ought not, because the life that's in you makes you do it. A tree's known by its fruit. And you... If a tree look like it was a apple tree and it was bearing pears, then it's a pear tree, because the life in it is the life of a pair tree.

23. Expectations and what love is 54-0228A P:53 The accepting of Christ isn't raising up your hands, or these things, it's accepting a Person into the heart, and then the attributes comes out. First, get things first: Christ in the heart and It'll bear record. I said, "Like smoking, drinking, gambling, committing adultery, those things are not sin." Then I said that one night and a good old Methodist mother raised up. I said, "It's no sin to drink, not sin to smoke, gamble ."She raised up, she said, "Then preacher, would you tell me what sin is?" I said, "Unbelief." That's right. I said, "The reason you drink, smoke, and carry on like that is because you are an unbeliever. That's the attributes of unbelief causes that. If you are a Christian, you don't do it. And just because you quit drinking, smoking, chewing, and--and committing adultery, that doesn't mean you're a Christian. You can do that yourself." That's right. All right. But the main thing is accepting the Person of Christ Jesus. Amen. Then It brings forth Its fruit.

24. Thou knowest all things 52-0716 P:28 Now, we know drinking and carrying on is sin; but the whole thing is because of unbelief. 'Cause if you believe God, and Jesus Christ to be His Son, you are absolutely not going to do those things. You believe that? "He that's born of God does not commit sin." See? All right. You must believe. The whole thing lays in faith. Jesus said, "He that heareth My Words and believeth on Him that sent Me, has Everlasting Life, shall not come into condemnation, but has already passed from death into Life." Do you believe that's the truth? There it lays. There isn't nothing else that you can do, only believe. And if you believe, then them little immoral things will just drop off, like that. As you believe, you become love. And love is God. And you begin to wind yourself into Christ. And these other things, you don't have to quit doing them; they just quit themselves. There's just no desire to do it. "The worshipper having purged, has no more conscience, or desire of sin." Hebrews 9. See? "The worshipper once purged..." See what I mean? When the worshipper is purged, is when he is born again, when his old nature dies, and a new nature sets in. Then he becomes a part of God, a son of God. He gets new Life, and the Life is... And the Greek word there is "Zoe," which means "the Life of God." And you become an offspring of God. And God can't hurt you without hurting Himself. See what I mean?

25. The Apostle John said, He that is born of God can not sin, for His Seed remaineth in Him.

26. You must be born again 61-1231M P:63 What do you do with a baby soon as it's born? Wash him. Is that right? And as soon as a man has died to himself and's born of God, he's washed by the water of the Word. Amen. If It says, "Jesus' Name," you say "Jesus' Name"; says, "You must be born again," you say the same thing. Ever what God says, you're washed by that water of the Word. Amen. Now, you're ready now for life. You're ready to be--start out now. Now, you're born anew, born in the family of God with a new parent. Yes, sir. Your tutors used to be... Now you got tutors that is now; you got a new Parent. You can't be born without having a parents. So if you're born in the brotherhood of a church, that's what you got. If you're born in a creed, there you are. But if you're born in God, conceived in His Word, you got a new Parent; that's God, ready to make His Word known among us, with you, speak It through you. Oh, a new Parent, that Parent is God. He's ready to take His Word now that He's already spoke, and lay It in you and make It come to life. See? Now, you have your training now. You're ready--you're ready to go into training now, child-training. That's the hard part, when you think you ought to do this, and the Word cuts you around and shows you something else. "Why, they believe that over..." That don't make any difference what they believe. Here's what God said. You must be about the Father's business. Now you're getting born again. Now you're getting right, getting straightened out. You have a new Parent.

27. union of the bride 65-1125 P:99 And a man that's born of God, a son of God has to have the nature of God. He has to be like God. He honors God. He's part of the Word of God. And in this last days of this Bride taken form just exactly in the same power that He was in at the beginning... He's come up through these organizations and so forth and come out for the Bride. He can't be nothing else but that.

28. Who is this Melchisedec 65-0221E P:33 Before the foundation of the world his Name's put on the Lamb's Book of Life. Then from that He become the Word, the theophany, that could appear, disappear; and then He become flesh and returned back again, resurrected that same body in a glorified condition. But you bypassed the theophany and become flesh-man to be tempted by sin. And then "if this earthly tabernacle is dissolved, we have one already waiting." We have not yet the bodies. But look, when this body receives the Spirit of God, the Immortal Life inside of you, it throws this body in subjection to God. Hallelujah."He that's born of God doth not commit sin; he cannot sin." Romans 8:1. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus; they walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." There you are. See, that throws your body subject. You don't have to say, "Oh, if I could just quit drinking, if I could just..." Just get in Christ; it's all gone. See, see? Because your body is subject to the Spirit, it's no more subject to the things of the world; they're dead. They are dead; your sins are buried in baptism; and you are a new creation in Christ. And your body becoming subject to the Spirit, try to live a right kind of life...

29. Then Jesus came and called 64-0417 P:37 But on this, when we really place our hands upon our Sacrifice, Jesus, and feel in our hearts that we're guilty, and know what we're doing, the Blood of that Sacrifice... The Life that was in that Blood was God Himself, so He comes back upon you as the Holy Spirit. You become a son of God then, with no more conscience of sin. "He that's born of God does not commit sin." He can't sin. The seed of God's in him; he can't sin. There's no more desire of sin at all. So as long as you're desiring to sin, you're guilty of it. But when you have no more desire, if you do anything wrong, then you don't willfully do it. Hebrews 6 said if we sin willfully after we receive the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin: sin willfully. So if you continually want to sin willfully, there's something wrong with your experience.

30. 1 John   5: 18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

31. 1 John 5  : 1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 1 John   5  : 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

32. Seed of discrepancy 65-0118 P:13 But we find out God gave His children His Word for their Defense. Their... We have no other Defense than the Word of God. That is our Defense. There's no bombs, no shelters, no hiding places, no Arizona's, or California's, or wherever it is; there's only one Defense we have, and that is the Word. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, which is Christ Jesus; He is our only Defense. Being in Him we are safe. Not even sin is imputed to a genuine believer. Did you know that? He that's born of God, does not commit sin; he cannot sin. See? It's not even imputed. Why, David said, "Blessed is the man who God will not impute sin." When you're in Christ, you have no desire to sin. "The worshipper, once purged, has no more conscience to sin; you don't desire it. Now, to the world you might be a sinner; but to God you're not, because you're in Christ. How can you be in a sinner when you're in the sinless One, and God only sees Him Who you are in?

33. Abraham's grace covenant 61-0317 P:11 And Hebrews (now watch), Hebrews the tenth  said, "If we sin willfully..." Now, what is sin, brethren? Unbelief. "He that believeth not is condemned already." You commit adultery. Why? Because you're an unbeliever. You steal, you lie, cheat. Why? Because you're an unbeliever. That's right. A real true believer doesn't do that. See? He doesn't do it, because the Holy Spirit in him... if he happens to even make a mistake... the Bible said also, "And the worshiper, once purged, has no more conscious of sin." "He that's born of God does not commit sin..." is not an unbeliever, he's a believer. The Spirit of God remains in you cannot sin. You can't be a believer and an unbeliever at the same time. You're either a believer or not a believer. Now, listen to Scripture. The man or woman that comes to a fact of the Bible, comes up against the Scriptural doctrine... Ministers, whoever you are, I say this with Godly love, and you see it, and know it is the truth, and turn away from it, "there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin, but a fearful looking for the judgment, the fiery indignation which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses law..."

34. Now, it’s not as though you will never make mistakes or fall in your flesh, but God just doesn’t give you credit for it. You see, if you are truly born again then another Life has taken over and the life you once lived is dying out, and the new life in Christ has taken over. You may still do wrong things, but in your heart you don’t want to do them, so God just doesn’t give you credit for them.

35. Show us the Father 59-0419E P:44 You believe God's in His Son? God's in His universe:? God is in His Word? God is in His Son? Now, is God in His people? What the death of Christ was, was to sanctify a church that He might work through to continue His work. There had to be an atonement made, and His body, the Man Jesus, was made a Sacrifice, willingly, like we've take it through this last week in a type of Isaac, willing, submitted himself to death. He didn't have to die. He said, "No man takes My life; I lay it down." And He did that, that through that sacrifice, that fulfills the Scripture, "He that's born of God does not commit sin, because he can't sin." There's a bloody sacrifice for a man that's in Christ. God don't see your sins; it's covered by the Blood.

36. Demonology 1 Physical 53-0608A P:26 You can't sin. Oh, you... I might be a sinner in your sight, but if I'm in Christ, God don't see it, because his sin's atoned, His Blood atoned for my sins there. See? I can't sin. "He that's born of God does not commit sin, for he cannot sin. The seed of God remains in him." See? He--he's willing to, if he makes a mistake, sure he's right then willing to confess it. If he's a real Christian, he will do it. If he holds it back, he shows he ain't got nothing in the first place. That's right. He hasn't got nothing to begin with. But if he's a real Christian...

37. 1 John   3  : 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Now the word commit here was translated from a Greek word that actually means to initiate. Now, to read this properly we would read it, Whosoever is born of God doth not initiate sin; for his (God’s) seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin, because he is born of God

38. Now the Greek word for commit is poieo pronounced poy-eh-o, and means to initiate, celebrate, or habitually do) verse 8: <wuest> The one who is habitually committing sin is  out of  the devil as a source because from The beginning  the  devil has been habitually sinning.

39. Notice  verse 9: WEYMOUTH 1 JOHN 3: 9 " No one who is a child  of God is habitually guilty of sin. A God-given germ of life remains in  Him,  and He cannot habitually sin-because he is a  child  of God."

40. Therefore we should read this as Whosoever is born of God doth not initiate sin; or, better yet we can read this verse as; Whosoever is born of God doth not celebrate sin; or better still,  we can read this verse as Whosoever is born of God doth not habitually continue in sin;

41.  And why is that because John continues by saying,  for His (that's God's) seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin (In other words, he has no power or permission to sin), because he is born of God. Look, if you have been born again it means one thing, there has been a new birth, which means a new life is now living out in you and that you life, that one that is born again, is not the old sinful man, that man is perishing day by day, the new man is being renewed daily by the Word of God which liveth and abideth forever. And it is now God's own Life, God life that is living in you and you have become a new creation in Christ, as we see in,

42.  II CORINTHIANS 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  things have passed away and all things have become new.

43.  10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. Now, what does he mean by that? Was John just joking? Or is this Gods Word we are reading? He says here, whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,. Then are we to avoid this because it is too controversial? I think not. You can call a buzzard an eagle if you want to but just because you say it doesn't make it so. And you can call yourself born again if you wish, but your life will bear you out.

44.  Romans 8:1. Now, if it throws your body subject, it throws your body subject. Let's not try to change the meaning of what he said. Now, let's see if he is saying the same thing as the Apostle Paul.  72 Like you women claiming you got Holy Ghost and going out here and wearing shorts and things, how could you do it? How  could the Spirit of God in you ever let you do such a thing as that? It just can't be so. Certainly it can't be. He's not a filthy spirit; He's a holy Spirit. And then when you become subject to that Spirit, it throws your whole being subject to that Spirit. And that Spirit is nothing in the world but this Seed Word made manifest, or quickened (Hallelujah.), made alive. And when the Bible said, "Don't do this," that body quickly turns to it; there's no question. And what is it? It's the earnest of the resurrection. This body will be raised up again, because it's already started. It was once subject to sin, and mire, and corruption, but now it's got the earnest; it's turned heavenly. Now, that's the earnest that you're going in the rapture. It's the earnest.

45. 1 John 3: 5 - 6  And you know that He was manifested to take away our habitual  error and missing of the mark, because in Him is no error or missing of the mark. So Whosoever abides in Him does not habitually miss the mark; whosoever habitually misses the mark hath not seen Him, neither have they known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you: He that doeth right - wise - ness is rightly wise, even as God is rightly wise. But he that habitually misses the mark is of the devil for  the devil missed the mark from the beginning and for this purpose The Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy works of the devil.

46. That's where we go; that is the Word. Then we can look back and see what we done. Now, we don't understand it. We have never become the Word; we've just become the flesh-man, not the Word. But... And look clearly, makes it clear you will never be the Word unless you was a thought at the beginning. That proves the predestination of God. See? You can't be the Word 'less you're a thought. You had to be in the thinking first. But you see, in order to stand temptation you had to bypass the theophany; you had to come down here in flesh to be tempted by sin. And then if you sin... "All the Father hath given Me will come to Me, and I'll raise him up at the last days." See, you had to be first. And then you see, He come right down the regular line, from attribute to...

 47.      70    Before the foundation of the world his Name's put on the Lamb's Book of Life. Hallelujah. "He that's born of God doth not commit sin; he cannot sin." Romans 8:1. See, see?

48. I JOHN 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3    And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.(having this hope purifies himself, a process of purification, or sanctification takes place because of the hope we have within) 4    Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. (The Wuest Translation says, Whosoever habitually commits sin, also habitually commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness)

49. 1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6    Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not (Whosoever habitually is abiding in Him, cannot be sinning as a matter of habit)  whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. (Whosoever continues to sin as a matter of habit,  hath not seen Him, and neither do they Know Him) 7   Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.(He that habitually doeth that which is right, is right, even as Christ is Right)  He that committeth sin is of the devil;(He that habitually continues in sin is of the devil) for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

50. 1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; (does not initiate sin, does not sin out of habit) for His (God's) seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin (He cannot habitually sin or disbelieve), because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that  loveth  not his brother.

51. Now, brother Branham continues by saying, Because your body is subject to the Spirit, it's no more subject to the things of the world; they're dead. They are dead; your sins are buried in baptism; and you are a new creation in Christ. And your body becoming subject to the Spirit, try to live a right kind of life...

52. Notice the key here is that you try to live a right kind of Life. You are no longer a creature of habit. You no longer wander into sin habitually like a dog running after its old nature in heat. But you are a willful person, and you live with a sense of God's ever abiding presence in your life. You know that something has happened and you are aware of the fleshly desires in the body, and yet you are no longer constrained to follow those fleshly lusts. Therefore, although you may occasionally fall, yet you try never to fall.

53. You see, we must balance out 1 John 3 with 1 John 1.

54. I JOHN 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 ¶  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

55. Notice in 1 John 1 it seems as though John is telling us that we can not get away from the fact that we have sin living in these mortal bodies and if we try to deny it, we are throwing away the very purpose of God sending His Son to die on our behalf. And yet as we read the King James version in 1 John 3 it sounds as though we know longer have sin living in this body after the Spirit of God has come into us by the new birth. But by showing the literal translation in the Wuest translation you can see that it is not that we no longer have any sin living in us, but that we have died to our habitual sinning. We no longer disbelieve as a matter of habit, but we are now made conscious of another Life that is coming forth within us. A God life.

56. That is why Paul could say in GALATIANS 4:19  My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

57.   76    Notice, how wonderful, we love Him. Now, this body is subject to the Spirit. Have not yet entered into the Word form, but we are still in the flesh form, but subject to the Word. Death in the flesh will take us there.  Just the same thing. Think of a little baby. You can take a woman, no matter how evil she is, when she is pregnant and fixing to be mother, watch before that baby's born; I don't care how cruel the woman is, she gets real kind. There's something about her sound--seems godly, to see a little mother fixing to become mother by the baby. Why is it? That little body... Now, it's not alive yet. See the only thing it is, is just flesh and muscles. That little jumping, that's just muscles jerking. But when it comes forth from the womb, God breathes the breath of life into it, and then he screams out. See, just as sure as there is a natural body being formed, there is a spiritual body to receive it as soon as it gets here.

58.   78    Then when a man is born again from heaven, he becomes a spirit babe in Christ. And then when this robe of flesh is dropped, there is a natural body, theophany, a body not made with hands, neither born of a woman, that we go to. Then that body returns back and picks up the glorified body. That's the reason Jesus went to hell when he died and preached to the souls that were in prison. Turned back into that theophany... Oh, marvelous. Thank God. II Corinthians 5:1 "If this earthly body be dissolved (this earthly tabernacle), we have another one." See, we have bypassed that to come straight from God, the attribute, to be flesh to be tempted and tested by sin like Adam did. But when testing of His Word is over, then we are taken up to this body that was prepared for us before the foundation of the world. It is the Word there that we skipped to come right around down here to be tempted and tested. If we'd have come through that, there'd have been no temptation; we'd knowed all things. That's the reason Jesus knowed all things, 'cause He was Word before He was flesh. Then we become the Word. Here we are formed to the Word image to be a partaker of the Word, feed on the Word, by being predestinated since the beginning. You see, that little spark of life that you had in you from the beginning when you started your journey... Many of you can remember it. You joined this church and joined that church, and try this and that; nothing satisfied. That's right. But one day you just recognized it. Right.

59. And again in COLOSSIANS 3:1  If  ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. And then in verse 5 Paul goes on to tell us, that since we have died to ourselves, we must also kill the desires that lay within the flesh, kill them immediately. And then he goes on to list those desires.

60.          72    Like you women claiming you got Holy Ghost and going out here and wearing shorts and things, how could you do it? How could the Spirit of God in you ever let you do such a thing as that? It just can't be so. Certainly it can't be. He's not a filthy spirit; He's a holy Spirit And then when you become subject to that Spirit, it throws your whole being subject to that Spirit. A sick person laying dying, nothing left but death, that's all can happen. I've seen the shadows of people done eat up with cancer and tuberculosis, and see them persons a little while after that perfectly normal and strong. If there is no Divine healing then there's no resurrection, 'cause Divine healing is the earnest of the resurrection. Amen. You know what the earnest money is don't you? It's the down payment. "He was wounded for our transgressions; with His stripes we're healed."
