African Mission Trip Report 2006

September 30th, 2006

ACTS 19:21  After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome. 22  So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season. 23  And the same time there arose no small stir about that way. 24  For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen; 25  Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth. 26  Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: 27  So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.  28  And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. 29  And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre. 30  And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not. 31  And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre. 32  Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together. 33  And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people. 34  But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. 35  And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?  36  Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly. 37  For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess. 38  Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another.  39  But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.  40  For we are in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse. 41  And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

This evening I would like to talk about our Mission trip to Africa. As you know we left on September 11th, and traveled to Belgium, where I met with Br. Marcus Janckeere who took over the church in Brugge after his father Donat passed away this passed summer. I spent the day in fellowship with Marcus, His mother and Br. Erling Eriksen from Norway. We saw several attractions there including the battle field at Waterloo where Napolean was finally defeated ending his reign over Europe.  We conversed around the Doctrine and the work abroad that God has opened up to us as well as his situation there locally.

The people who had attended church while his father pastured seem to be comfortable with his preaching, and I believe that Br. Marcus has a very good handle on the Doctrine and will make a very fine pastor.

That evening we met with Br. Guido Vanderbrandt also and had a meal together and discussed our trip to Eastern Africa.

We left the next day and flew into Entebbe arriving at Midnight, where the brothers met us at the airport and then took us to the hotel where we spent the next few hours before leaving the next morning for Rwanda.

We traveled all day. The brothers from Kinshasa Congo, Pastor Desire’ Mavinga and Pastor Raphael Mbila, were in our traveling entourage. Pastor Erling Eriksen from Norway and Pastor Kees Vanklink from New Zealand also traveled in our entourage.

Traveling with us from Uganda were Pastors ben Caleb Arinaitwe from Rukungiri Western Uganda, a seasoned veteran of the message as wel as Pastor Stephen Byanyima  the youngest of the ministers. Also brother Philip Bakina from the Kisoro region in Western Uganda who has been translating the doctrine into the native tongue in Rwanda, and he traveled with us for the first half of our journey.

We set off for Rwanda at 8:00 the next morning and traveled all day until we finally arrived about 7:00 p.m. in Kigali Rwanda. After our arrival, that evening we met with the 75 Ministers who came from all over to study the Message Doctrine. The ministers came from several countries including, western and eastern Congo, all across Rwanda, from Burundi and different parts of Uganda as well as the USA, Norway and New Zealand making a total of  seven countries represented at those first meetings in Rwanda.

Friday morning we began at 9:00 to preach the doctrine of Christ and the difference between the Appearing and Coming, which is the teaching on the Parousia of Christ. Then we broke for lunch and returned for another 3-1/2 – 4 hours that afternoon, going much more into detail concerning the Doctrine of Christ as Paul taught it, and Jesus Himself taught it, and John and Jude and Peter and Irenaeus had all taught it. Then I finished with what William Branham had to say concerning the difference between the Father and the Son. We finished around 7:00 p.m.

The brothers seemed very open to the teaching of the Doctrine of Christ, and there were only a few questions that seemed like they still had some oneness thinking in them.

I chose a format for questions and answers whereby the ministers who were traveling with me would sit at a table up front and each would help in the explanations necessary to give the questioner a satisfactory answer.  I moderated the questions, and was ready to further explain any answer that might need further clarification if needed.

My intention was to make sure these meetings were not a one man show, because I do not wish for the people to look to me for their answers. I do not believe that God has only one man qualified to teach the doctrine, and I do not wish to be the only one traveling around the globe doing so. I do not believe that is what God intended.

From the sermon, Taking sides with Jesus COD 62-0601 P:49 brother Branham said,  And then in there, get training in your own groups other ministers, men that you see that has a calling in their life for the ministry. Train them young men; bring them in here to the elder. All of you set together in a ministerial meeting and there teach the deeper things of God. Don't go on the bad end. Keep someone who, can have confidence in to be kind of like a leader for you. And then sometimes if you don't see it just exactly the way he does, that's all right, you're in the faith anyhow; just move along. Maybe when we come together then, all of us together, we'll pray, the discernment of God come down, and He'll give it just exactly what it is. You see,  and let us know just how to do it. And in there, churches can go hear.

And training up a group of men. And if I'm in evangelistic work somewhere, there's places I can place them worldwide. P:50 What if I was in India, go back to India. And there I'd say to these people... Maybe they'd have thousands of them, stay there for a week or two, and they'd see the ministry, they'd love it, they'd believe it's the Truth, they'd come out of heathenism. There I've got... And maybe in two or three weeks, when I was over there two nights, and maybe a hundred thousand converted to Christ, no where to go. The next day take a plane and start back to Rome, then to the United States, leave them just like sheep put out among wolves.

What if I had a group of men, young men trained in the Message (See?) to say, "Now, wait a minute, before I leave here, we're going to set in order these churches. I'll have a man who I've already telegrammed him, and they got the money; they're on their road here right now to take over this, a good man. There's two or three young men with him who'll be his helpers and assistants. "And a church of this faith can be set there which will be a outpost in India, outpost in Germany, outpost in Switzerland. While right now, we should've had them all around the nations where I've been. And the Message... Then from there comes another, from another comes another. See what I mean?

So we traveled with a group of men who that we could leave behind that would be available to work with the ministers who wanted to have a better handle on teaching the correct understanding of the Message Doctrine.

Brother Branham said if he could get just one man in a country to yield himself to God he could shake that nation. My hopes were to introduce these brothers to the brethren and in having them answering their questions I would be able to gage who really had a divine revelation and who did not. I can say I was very happy with what I saw and heard in these brethren and the answers they gave.

What impressed me most was that they did not answer these questions with intellectual answers or with just the answers they heard in my books on the subject, but rather they were able to utilize many Scripture and quotes showing that they have been faithfully taught and are faithful to the teaching and that showed me they have a deep revelation of the doctrine.

After the meetings in Rwanda, we traveled to Rukungiri western Uganda where we held meetings for two days and I spoke about 7 hours per day over two sessions each day. There were 35 ministers in attendance for these meetings.

Sunday morning I spoke to the congregation and visiting ministers on the 45 benefits of the Son of God. These benefits introduced the people and ministers to the vast amount of Scripture that speaks of the Son of God, and the benefits we receive by receiving the Record that God gave of His Son.

Monday we held two 3-1/2 - 4 hour sessions with the ministers alone. I covered the Appearing and Coming and went into great detail concerning the Godhead, as well as attacking the doctrine from the standpoint as brother Branham showed us that the Prophet is a sign that God is about to speak and the voice behind that sign is his doctrine,

We began the morning session at 9:00 a.m. and somewhere around 10:00 a storm came up that began to pour down rain and hail so hard that it beat against the tin roof with such noise I could not hear myself preach. The winds also began to blow so hard that it appeared to me that he roof might be blown off.

Not being able to hear myself preach, I signaled to the hosting pastor that I would sit down until the storm was through. I went to sit down and as I did he picked up a guitar to begin singing. He asked for the brothers to sing, but you could not hear anything but the rattle of the hail and rain.  I sat in my chair for perhaps no longer than 20 seconds when something spoke within me and said, don’t just sit there, have not I sent you to this place. You know this is just satan trying to interrupt these meetings. So I stood up and walked to the pulpit and asked the brothers (I had to speak very loud for them to hear) and asked them  to bow their heads for prayer.

I prayed to our Father words which were reflective of those I heard his son speak from Scriptures, and reminded Him that he had given brother Branham power over the storm and as another son, I knew he was not a respecter of persons, So I commanded the storm to stop in the name of Jesus Christ, and called satan’s bluff and told him that his stinger was pulled out on Calvary and in the name of Jesus I commanded him to stop.

Then whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, and the storm stopped all at once and fromt hen on I could speak very softly to the brethren and you could have heard a pin drop on the floor.  I continued teaching the doctrine of Christ showing the brethren that my motive is to help them to understand their roles as obedient sons, and hoping that in coming to an understanding of God and His Fatherhood they would also see the role Jesus played as His uniquely born son, and that in seeing his role they might find their role as sons as well.

We broke about 1:30 for lunch, and when I walked outside, I looked up and saw all around the city the storm clouds still hung in the air except for a 1 mile radius over us where the Son was bright and no clouds blocked the light of the sun. I took a special note of how the storm clouds still ringed the city but it looked like God had punched a huge hole in the center of the clouds, and where we were was sunny and warm.

When we returned from lunch, we entered into the church again, and I resumed to teach on the Doctrine of Christ. Again about an hour into the teaching, the storm came back with a vengeance, and the hail came down ad the rain drops were so large that when they hit the roof it sounded like golf balls.

This time, I did not feel led to stop this storm by praying on my own as the last time, because my mission to these brothers was to train them as sons of God to know their rightful position in the family of God, so I spoke to the brothers and I told them that this time they should pray and command this storm to stop. Then, for the next 5 minutes or so there was much fervent prayer going forth and then the storm stopped as it had the first time, and again I was able to continue with teaching them about the Son of God and His role as an obedient son.

Tuesday morning we set out again for a long trip to Kampala Uganda which is the capital of Uganda located in Central Uganda near Lake Victoria.

Meetings began Wednesday morning at 9:00 and I could tell these meetings would be much different from the meetings we had already held in Rwanda and Western Uganda.

Before I arrived for these meetings, several false brethren from America had been going from church to church trying to persuade the ministers not to attend my meetings because I was preaching two Gods like Lee Vayle preaches. They went about trying to scare the ministers into staying away from my meetings.

Needless to say, over 206 ministers were in attendance for these meetings, and I could feel a lot of unbelief in the air. But the Lord was faithful and He anointed the preaching in a much more powerful way than I am accustomed to preaching and I felt as though He placed a sword in my hand during  these meetings, and therefore I wielded that sword with all the might I had, and God gave us a great victory those two days.

If you think brother Vayle preaches tough, you should have been there. The preaching was the toughest I have heard but also very much to the point,  and their unbelief could not hide itself and I openly challenged their unbelief to come with their Bibles open and stand next to me and prove by the Scriptures where I am teaching error. Not a person stirred. You could have heard a pin drop because they were afraid to come and confront me face to face with their Bibles open. And that is because they do not have confidence in the Word of God.

They are so stooped in their traditions that they are afraid of the Word. Like a child before a Sharp two edged sword they are afraid to pick it up and examine it. And so they would not come. But that did not stop the unbelievers from speaking privately against the Doctrine of Christ.

Yes, it was a mixed multitude for sure, but God gave me much victory to  withstand that unbelieving spirit face to face. As fast as the mind could think the Scriptures came forth from my mouth and every oneness excuse that could be thought was openly challenged and quickly cut to pieces as well.

God anointed me with such boldness that I challenged their unbelief and challenged them to come stand by my side with their Bibles open and show me where I have not declared unto them the Truth by the Scriptures of Message of William Branham.

After those meetings the ministers traveling with me received reports almost by the hour that the meetings so stirred those in attendance that the entire country was buzzing about what took place. Later a couple pastors tried to convince one of the pastors traveling with me that I was in error, and that I was teaching Lee Vayle’s two Gods error. These men did not come with their Bibles to try to convince him because they knew they could not persuade him by the Scriptures.

When I saw them talking, I knew they were talking about me, and I asked them why they persist in hold to their traditions and creeds instead of believing God’s prophet and the Scriptures. The man’s only reply was, “why do you come here and stir up the people, and I said, “If I came and the people were not stirred up then God did not send me”. I said, “everywhere Jesus went he stirred the people, the same with Paul and William Branham”. And I asked him why he thought it should be any different today.

I asked him if he believed William Branham and he said yes. Then I asked him if he believed the body of Jesus was Diety and he said yes. I told Him that William Branham said it was not deity and I told him he did not believe Brother Branham and thus was calling brother Branham a liar. I told him hat he was of his father the devil and he was a liar to begin with.

For the two days we were in Kampala the devil really fought me in various ways, and I had a fever and temperature of 102 degrees. It was a real spiritual warfare that was going on there because there was so much unbelief.

After these meetings were over we traveled to Kenya where we4 held a meeting Friday night. I was unable to attend being down with fever but brother Kees Vanklink took the service that night and preached a very good message on the Son of Man ministry.

The next day, Saturday I recovered from the fever and we held two services and the Word of God flowed with such grace that the ministers really had no questions to ask. All points of conflict with the oneness doctrine were well presented and there was nothing left for an unbeliever to hold onto.

Sunday I spoke in a couple churches and the other brothers also spoke in several churches as well. We were quite happy with the results of the Kenya meetings, and our stay there was without incident.

Now, Brother Branham said in his sermon, Warning then judgment 63-0724 P:51 And then we find out the apostle is a special man. He's a setter-in-order. He's a man that's sent from God to set the things in order.

And that is just what took place during these meetings.

From the message Uncertain sound 60-1218 P:170 Brother Branham said,  Let me tell you something. I'm a missionary, you know. And now, I believe a missionary is a guy that goes and comes. That's a missionary. If you go over there to stay, they call that a missionary; but that's a homesteader; you just changed your residence. See? That's not a missionary. A missionary, he... Paul was a missionary; he didn't stay; he just kept going and going and going, a missionary: not change residence; just keep going, a missionary.
