Who is this Melchisedec #134

Graham the Messenger of man

June 29, 2002

This morning I would like to speak from  paragraph 158 of Who is this Melchisedec, where we find Brother Branham saying…

158 Now, it's promised that in these last days that this same God, this same Christ, would come back here and reveal Himself as Son of Man. Why? He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. And if He let those Jews go by with, and give them that Messianic sign, and then come to the end of the Gentile's teachings and let them just go in on theology, He would be unjust. He's got to do the same thing, because the Bible said in Hebrews 13:8, He is the same. And He's promised in Malachi 4 and all the different Scriptures that the last days the church would be setting just exactly like it is today and the world would be. Look at the world today. Look at the Sodom condition. Look at the earthquakes in divers places and the things that's taking place. Look at the church in the mess it's in of Babylon. Look at the messenger to it, an Oral Roberts and a Billy Graham: G-r-a-h-a-m. First time we ever had a messenger to all the churches that his name ever ended in h-a-m like Abraham. A-b-r-a-h-a-m is seven letters; G-r-a-h-a-m is six letters. Where's he at? To the world, Six is man's number. Man was created on the sixth day. But seven's God's number.

Now, we notice several things brother Branham said here that I would like to point out.

#1) He said God would come in this hour And Reveal Himself as the Son of Man.

#2) He spoke of the setting as a Sodom Condition.

#3) He identified Bill Graham as the messenger to all the world, and spoke of Oral Roberts as being the other angel to Sodom.

Now, as we establish these thoughts in the Scripture, let’s first look at point number one.

#1) He said God would come in this hour And Reveal Himself as the Son of Man.

Now there are three things that we should consider in addressing the Son of Man.

#1) He is a prophet.

THE TRIAL 64-0419  71    Now, why wasn't He recognized as Son of man? The Son of man was the spiritual revelation, a prophet. "Son of man" means "prophet." Now, if you'll turn over in your Bibles to Ezekiel the 2nd chapter and the 1st verse, you'll find out that Ezekiel was the prophet, the Word of God for that day. And Jehovah Himself called him the son of man. Jehovah called him a man, the son of man, the same as Jesus revealed Himself as Son of man. What was it? The promised Word of that hour being made manifest: same God, God of Ezekiel's time, God of Jesus' time, Son of man. He was not at that time... He was the Son of man because He had come to reveal Himself to Israel as a Prophet, and they rejected it. And that was the prophecy that they should receive Him in, in the Name of the Son of man, a Prophet, because it was according to the Word. Deuteronomy 18:15, "The Lord your God shall raise up a Prophet likened unto me." And when He come, He identified Himself in His ministry as a man, not a Son of God, Son of man. God is a Spirit. And He revealed Hisself as Son of man, what He claimed to be. And they was blinded and couldn't see it.

Now, br. Branham was not The Son of man, but a son of man revealing The Son of Man.

And we know The Son of Man was Christ. From  QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS  64-0823E  1018-Q-291 291. Some say Brother Branham is the Son of man. I thought the Pillar of Fire was the Son of man. Am I mistaken? Well, that's a good question, very good. But I am not the Son of man, but a son of man.

#2) He will come forth sowing Seeds for the Kingdom of Heaven.

#3) He will be followed by others sowing in the same field but sowing other seeds which are not wheat but tares.

Let’s turn in our Bibles to the Book of Matthew and read from verse 24.

MATTHEW 13:24 ¶  Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. (Notice here that Jesus speaks of possession when speaking of the wheat. He says, gather them into MY barn. But when the tares are spoken of it is just they will gather them for burning, period. There is no possession spoken of here. Even John spoke in the book of Luke and said the same thing. He spoke of the Messiah Coming and said that He would gather the wheat in HIS garner. LUKE 3:16 John answered, saying unto [them] all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: 17 Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable. Therefore we see an identification with the wheat seed while the other seed is not spoken in terms of identification. That is why, according to Matthew 7 when they say, “Lord, Lord have not we spoken in your name and in you name done many wonderful works, He will reply, depart from me ye that work iniquity, for I never KNEW you. Or as Dr. Hoyer placed those words in the Greek, “I used to know you as my wife, but I do not know you as my wife any longer.” This then would tell us that these were Christian believers at one point but had left their first Love. And Who sowed them? Well, we are also told in 2 Peter 2: 1-4 that men would creep into the church and bring in along side of true doctrine destructive heresies and many would follow their pernicious, which means bloodless. Now keep in mind as we examine the sower who went forth sowing after the Son of Man.)

Now, Jesus tells us more about this parable in verse 36. Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

Now, we know that The Son of Man is Christ in Spirit form as the Word manifested before the people, in a prophetic office.  There is only one field and that is the world.

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Now the thing we should see hear is that the first one to come forth sowing was of course the Son of Man. This is the Holy Spirit in a prophetic office. Of course then, we must understand that this Christ in the form of the Holy Spirit  using a man to do this. And if this is so, then the other one sowing wrong seed is the Devil in spirit form also using man to do this. And notice that the tares were to be bound together into Bundles first. That means they are put under obligation to the bundles which is organization. A bundle is not a haphazard thing but is carefully organized for the purpose of the making it easier for getting it ready for the burning.

30 Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

#2) He spoke of the setting as a Sodom Condition.

Notice that the world will be in a Sodom condition, and the world is the field on which these two sowers went for sowing. One was the Son of Man, Christ Himself in a prophetic office, and the other went forth to the same field sowing, and as we know,
Paul said in the book of Galatians, “Many more are the children of the desolate than she which has a husband.”  And in the Book of 2 Peter chapter 2 he said, “and many will follow these pernicious or bloodless way.”

Now, I believe. As we all do that William Branham was a son of man revealing The Son of Man which is Christ. Then that would leave Billy Graham as the one that went forth into the same field sowing tares. Notice both had names ending in HAM but William Branham has seven letters as did Abraham, while Graham is six letters meaning the number of man.

Brother Branham taught us that the two messengers to Sodom in this hour was Billy Graham to the world churches and Oral Roberts to the Pentecostal churches.

TRYING.TO.DO.GOD.A.SERVICE_  SHP.LA  V-7 N-2  SATURDAY_  65-1127B

308    Notice David's objective: he was bringing the ark to his own house. That wasn't the capital; that wasn't the place; it belonged in Jerusalem. But David was bringing it to his own house; he wanted the revival to be on his own denomination. "Oh, if you're Assembly, all right. If you're Oneness, all right. If you're Pentecostal, okay."

Like somebody said, said, "Brother Branham, how you ever have anybody to listen to you?" Said, "I can see Billy Graham; he's got every denomination in the country with him. I can see Oral Roberts; every Pentecostal hangs right to him." But said, "You're against the whole thing." Said, "How in the world do you ever get anybody?"

I said, "It's God." "I the Lord hath planted it before the foundation of the world. I'll water it day and night unless some of them should pluck it from My hand," Isaiah. "I'll water; I planted it. I put their names on the Book before the foundation of the world by predestination. I'll water it; just keep on moving. I'll furnish the water; you just spray it out." Right. See? "I'll water it day and night unless one of them gets plucked out of My hand." Oh, there you are.

In the next quote brother Branham defines the identifiable characteristic of these three ministries.

TOKEN THE  63-1128E  84    How it would symbolize the three stages that we've come through. It would symbolize the three mercies of God, through Luther Martin, and Pentecost--Martin Luther, and--and also through Wesley, and Pentecost, the three stages of the journey. The three stages of Israel's journey, the three messengers to Sodom, all these different things it would symbolize. It would symbolize the ministry of today. It would symbolize the message of Billy Graham, of grace to the world; of Oral Roberts, as power to the world; (Then brother Branham speaks of another symbol which is his own ministry without coming out and saying it, and he defines that as) and of the Presence of Jesus Christ, as the last sign to the world. For Sodom got their last sign, the Church spiritual, the one that was called out, got their last sign before the Gentile world was burned. Jesus said, "So shall it be in the coming of the Son of man," the same thing.

Notice brother Branham identified Billy Graham’s ministry with Grace, and yet we have seen that Grace as he teaches has gone to seed. His whole scope is to get a confession out of the people as if that will save them. That is the min tenet of the Baptist belief is that your confession is the ultimate thing. And yet that would make the Election of God secondary.

The Church World teaches that Election is simply based upon the choices you make, and that you are the one who is in supreme control of your own destiny, and you are the one who must make the right choice. They believe that God has nothing to do with the choices you make. He leaves that all up to you and your own Free moral agency. Now, the Baptists and Billy Graham will go a little further, in that they will allow for God to know the beginning from the end, and therefore He is able to know who will make that all important choice, and who will not. Then, and only then, they will allow God to make an Election or choosing of sorts, but, not according to His choice, but only according to the choice that you have made, and God really has no choice in the matter. Now, that may sound silly to you, but talk to a diehard Baptists sometime, and they will tell you that it would not be fair for God to choose some to Life and not others. And I say, what does fairness have to do with Election. And for that matter, when has fairness ever entered into anyone's choice.

You make choices based on merit, value, and performance. When you make a choice of a car, you don't just go buy the car of your dreams and disregard all other parts of the equation. No, that would be silly. In every economic situation there are tradeoffs that must be made. Income is one part of the equation. Another important part is value, perceived and otherwise. When you make that decision to purchase your car, you say if money were not the real issue in my choice I would drive a Porsche, or perhaps a Rolls Royce, or for some of you younger guys, maybe the car of your choice would be a Chevrolet Corvette, and your parents might prefer a Mercede's or BMW. EVERY CHOICE WE MAKE HAS A PRICE WE MUST PAY.

And it seems funny to me that the Baptist will make this determination in their mind that Salvation is more valuable than perishing in the lake of fire, and so they will confess the Lord Jesus with their mouth. And they think that is all they must do. And so there choice becomes the all-encompassing act of faith on their part. But just as they see the importance of making this choice, they also insist upon denying God the opportunity to make His own choices.

If you tell them that God not only knew who would accept him, and who would not, but God also placed in some that attribute to be able to accept Him, and in others He did not put that attribute in them. And they will immediately say, that would not be a fair God. Then if I ask them if they had a choice of saving their own child or some strangers child, 99% of them would tell you they would save their own child first. The  other 1% would tell you the other child, but in reality they are just lying, because it is in our nature to look out for our own first, then if we have time, and effort to look out for others, we will do it.

But all of them would deny god the same right to make His own choices, and remain a Just God. I have talked to church people and showed them Romans 9 where Paul tells us that God will have mercy on whom He will have Mercy and on whom He will, he will harden, as He did with Pharaoh, and Esau. But these people will use the same argument that Paul said they would use, they will say, " ROMANS 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will [have mercy], and whom he will he hardeneth. 19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20  Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God?   (Now listen to what Paul says here.) Shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Paul is telling us, " Look, the fact remains that God is Sovereign whether you like it or not, and He will show mercy on whomever He wishes to, and whom He also wills to harden, they will be hardened whether they want it or not. Then he uses the illustration of the potter and the clay." That is the example Paul gives us. Do we then say to the Potter, why do you make the vessel of honor out of this piece of clay and why do you make the vessel of dishonor out of the same lump.

Now, where Billy Graham has led the people astray is that he gets them convicted by his preaching, and then asks them to maker a confession, and then calls this repentance, which it is not. Repentance is to change the mind, but he sends them back into the same mess that got the people in that condition to begin with. He gets them to write down their name and address and telephone number that “SOMEONE” might get with them to follow up with them, and then he turns the list over the the same ones who messed them up  in the first place. Catholics to the Catholic clergy, Protestant to the Protestant clergy.

But the ministry of the Son of Man was “Come out of her my people and be not partakers of her plagues.” If we believe that the denominations is the mark of the beast, then to send the people back into them when they are crying for help is no different than to have the young boys who were seduced by the priests have to go to that same priest and confess themselves. One sowed to gather out and the other sowed to bind into bundles for burning.

Luther said of Romans 10, that the confession is worthless unless it is a right confession based on a right Word. But Billy Grahams whole ministry is based on proof text salvation. Get the people to make a confession and that is all there is.  Did not Paul tell us they would teach another Gospel and get the people to believe in another Jesus, and thus receive another spirit. Did not Paul teach us that satan’s ministers would appear as angels of light?

In Matt 7:15 Jesus said at the white throne they will say, Lord, Lord! Have we not preached in your name, and in your name done many wonderful works. Theres your Billy Graham and Oral Roberts. Preaching a message that says all you have to do is make a confession actually blinds the people, and they never do find the Truth because they are satisfied that their confession is all they need to do. There are 1,000 churches working together with  Billy Graham in Cincinnati this weekend with  a budget of 2.8 million for four days of meetings. What a waste. Giving out soda pop instead of Bibles. Commercialism. And I suppose Pepsi or Coca Cola is sponsoring his meeting too.

You don’t get people saved by sending them back in to receive the mark of the beast. You get them saved by getting them to come out from among her. You get them saved by taking them into the promises of God for the age, and by showing them what lit your fire.

TRYING TO DO GOD A SERVICE 65-1127B  297    I heard our great evangelist Billy Graham, set one morning at a breakfast like this, and he said, "I..." Here, he puts up the Bible in Louisville, Kentucky, said, "There is God's example." And that's true; the man said the truth. He said, "You go... Paul went into a city and had one convert, come back a year from then had thirty out of that convert." Said, "But I go into a city and have thirty thousand converts, and come back in six months and can't find thirty." He said, "You know what's a matter?" Said, "You lazy preachers," said, "you set around with your foot upon the desk and--and call these people by phone instead of visiting them after supper and talking to them." Oh, my heart was burning. I thought, "O great man of God, I hate to disagree with you here, but who was the lazy preachers on Paul's one convert? What he done, he took him into the Word; he took him into the message; he took him to where he found God; his heart was on fire; he set the country afire. And only thing you do is put them in a Baptist or Methodist church, or something; no wonder there's nothing to burn." Yes, sir.

TOKEN THE 63-1128E   107  Here a few weeks ago, when I was watching a program, out of one of the filling stations I was standing in, of our great brother, Billy Graham, when he was making his greatest revival he had, or had the greatest revival in California. I was watching; the television was catching the face of them coming to the altar: kids punching one another, and fighting, going along the altar, and laughing and cutting up, no sincere, chewing chewing gum, looking all around. Go right in there and say "yes," they make a confession and come back out. Billy said he can have thirty thousand of them, and in one years time, he ain't got thirty left. There's no sincerity. There's no more sincere. People is not ready to confess. They want to pray, "God, You heal me, do this, or do that, do that." But when it comes to dying out, and confessing your sins, and getting right with God, it isn't seen no more. That's the reason we don't see no more healings than what we have. That's the reason I'm preaching these things. Let's get things ready for a healing service. You've got to get the thing working first. God heals you for His glory. And we must be ready for His glory.

PROVING HIS WORD  65-0426  203   There's no man that I know of in the field, that has got ahold of God on that word of justification like Billy Graham does. He can present it. He's not such a theologian... I guess he's a theologian, but he's not just a powerful teacher. But God is with him. That man will stand there with like a Sunday school lesson, and hold those people spellbound. He's God's servant of the hour. To who? The church natural that's in Sodom. But remember, there was one church spiritual, that wasn't in that denominational outfit either, a called-out group, and they received a message also, and a messenger. And what was it? Discerning the thoughts that was in the heart. God always proves His Word.

INVISIBLE UNION OF THE BRIDE 65-1125   41-2  Look at Billy Graham and Oral Roberts and them down there amongst those denominations. Look at the elected Abraham's church pulled out. Look what kind of sign that Jesus Himself, the incarnated God, standing there in human flesh...

TRYING TO DO GOD A SERVICE 65-1127B  125    Now, if there's anybody got the mechanics for a revival, is our noble brother, Billy Graham. But the mechanics is all right, but the mechanics won't move it; it takes the dynamics to move it.

MAN THAT CAN TURN ON THE LIGHT 63-1229M 227 That's the reason the I--today we have what we do. Like our precious brother Billy Graham the great revivalist. I think God is using the man. But look what he does, goes out there amongst them Baptists and Presbyterian. What does he do? Get a bunch of church joiners.

Events have moved rapidly in the last thirty years. We have passed through Higher Criticism, liberalism, Neo-Orthodoxy, ecumenism, New Evangelicalism, and the delusion of the Charismatic Movement. The pace has moved so fast that multitudes of God's people who once knew error and compromise when they heard or saw it are deluded and confused. In the midst of this miserable morass of satanic seduction, for many, the eternal authority of the commands of God's inerrant word have become, at best, secondary to the pragmatism that the end justifies the means. For many compromising Christians this pamphlet will have no significance, others will dismiss it as 'unloving'. Yet it is written in love to Christ Who said, 'If ye love Me, keep My commandments' (John 14:15). In loyalty to Christ, the Gospel, and the Word, we ask you to prayerfully consider the solemn import of this pamphlet.

There is a place where tolerance begins and ends. Gresham Machen in his book, 'Christianity and Liberalism' (p.22) speaking of Paul's toleration of practices in the Philippian church says, 'The way in which the preaching was being carried on was wrong, but the message was true'. However, Paul's tolerance was at an end with the Galatians because the message of the Gospel was being added to and became error. Originally in his ministry it would seem that Billy Graham's message was essentially true. However, through the years that message has been prostituted to unscriptural ends and today his stand and direction have become erroneous. True believers, whose sole mandate and authority is the word of God, cannot tolerate this. They should have no difficulty in seeing the solemn issues in this pamphlet.

Dr. Graham uses a deceptive fundamental terminology which is acceptable to liberals, Roman Catholics, and pagans alike. It is suspect and does not mean what the Bible means. It is this that makes Dr. Graham's ministry so dangerous. In this pamphlet Billy Graham and his liberal friends will speak for themselves. It will be for you, the reader, with the Scriptures, to decide whether there has been a transition from truth to error.

Compare Graham's position now with the statement he made August 1948 at a luncheon at the Conservative Baptist Association's Convention in Milwaukee. He was asked, 'Billy what do you expect the World Council of Churches to do in August?' His reply, 'I believe that they are going to nominate the anti-Christ'. 1974 at his Lausanne Congress Graham stated, 'I have nothing but the warmest of relations with the World Council of Churches'. The WCC has not changed except to become more wicked in its apostasy. Separation from error and apostasy is the crying need of the hour!

Jan. 4th 1949 Billy Graham said concerning the ecumenical Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, 'They certainly have a 'snooty' outlook on life ... I will make it a certainty that they never invite me back' ('Billy Graham and The Church of Rome' p.39 by Paisley). Today he supports the Inter-Varsity which is deeply compromised. Inter-Varsity's 'His' magazine quotes Rev. Robert A. Raines, a liberal, who wrote the article, 'With Billy at Yale'. Raines said, 'Though men differ with Dr. Graham's theology they knew themselves to be Christ's disciples and therefore brothers when they gathered around Christ'. Billy's ministry at Yale convinced this non-believer that he was right with God.

May 10th 1952 in a letter to John R. Rice, Billy Graham said, 'Contrary to any rumours that are constantly floating about, we have never had a modernist on our Executive Committee and we have never been sponsored by the Council of Churches in any city'. He made many statements to this effect. Why do you do it now Billy? Dec. 27th 1951 in a letter to Chester Tulga responding to criticism, Graham said, 'If you are going to hurl stones, hurl them at the modernists. My separation and my theology has not veered one iota from that of W.B. Riley'. ('Billy Graham and The Church of Rome' p.40 by Paisley). June 3rd 1952 in a letter to Bob Jones Sr., Graham said, 'The modernists do not support us anywhere'.

1954. Despite pleadings from evangelical leaders, Graham went to New York City under the sponsorship of notorious liberals and infidels whom he called, 'Godly men seeking to reach New York's vast population'. August 1963 referring to Stanley E. Jones, who denied the virgin birth and was an infidel, Billy Graham said, 'I now introduce you to my good friend and trusted advisor'. ('Billy Graham' by Bob Jones III). Of Bishop Kennedy, an apostate on one of Graham's committees, Billy said, 'Bishop Kennedy is one of the ten greatest preachers in America'. ('Billy Graham' by E. L. Bynum, Lubbock, Texas).

1948. Graham said, 'The three greatest menaces faced by orthodox Christianity are Communism, Roman Catholicism and Mohamedanism'. (Plains Baptist Challenger, July 1977). May 28th 1978 in the Japanese newspaper 'Mainichi Daily News' Graham said, 'I think communism's appeal to youth is its structure and promise of a future utopia. Mao Tse-Tung's eight precepts are basically the same as the Ten Commandments. In fact if we can't have the Ten Commandments read in the schools I'll settle for Mao's precepts'.

Sept. 1977 at his crusade in Communist Hungary Billy said, 'I have come to build bridges ... our hearts and minds are changing'. He intimated that there is freedom of religion under communism. This is untrue. He declared, 'There was no restriction on my preaching'. However, Mr. F. Durston, Administrative Associate for the Toronto Graham Crusade said March 14th 1978 in a telephone conversation when asked about recent statements on communism by Dr. Graham which seemed to laud it, said 'Dr. Graham was warned he must not speak against the political situation in Hungary'. Mr. Graham's 'No strings attached' does not hold up. Dr. Graham was invited to Hungary by Dr. Sandor Palotay, President of the Council of Free Churches of Hungary, who works with other apostate, ecumenical and pro-red church leaders in Hungary. These leaders sponsored a conference called, 'The World Religious Conference For Lasting Peace, Disarmament and Just Relations Among Nations' held June 6-10, 1977. This promoted the communist line.

Another church leader was Rev. Karoly Toth who is a delegate to the World Council of Churches and General Secretary for the so-called 'Christian Peace Conference'. Billy was also warmly greeted by Dr. Tibor Bartha, head of the Ecumenical Council of Hungary Crusade and member of the WCC Central Committee. These men are traitors to their people. Speaking of his Hungary Crusade Graham declared that the churches are 'flourishing'. This statement is deceitful in two ways.

  1. Statistics remain the same year after year and no new churches.
  2. All Billy Graham saw was a prostitute church which permits itself to be seduced by godless atheism.

Communism wasted no time in exploiting Graham's visit as it proclaimed in newspaper headlines, 'Billy Graham Lauds Freedom of Religion in Hungary'. In this Dr. Graham betrayed the true church which is persecuted, suffering and underground. Speaking of Hungary again, Graham said, 'Protestant leaders told me that they have more religious freedom now than they have ever had before'. Of course they said that. Billy Graham must know that this is not true. The sad, bitter sufferings of persecuted believers in gaol deny it. In communist countries no church is permitted openly and publicly unless they submit themselves to the absolute control of Red governments. (Christian Beacon, Sept. 8th, 22nd, 1977; 'Christian Morning Star' Jan. 1977).

Graham's surrender is unequivocally clear. Nov. 1967 he received an honorary degree from a Jesuit School, Belmont Abbey. Of that wicked system which has slain millions of God's people and is a system of spiritual darkness, Graham made this incredible statement, 'The Gospel that built this School and the Gospel that brings me here tonight is still the way to salvation'. Rome preaches another gospel God calls, 'anathema'. ('The Gastonia Gazette' Nov. 22nd 1967).

Oct. 29th 1963 Dr. Graham admitted to the 'Daily Journal' of International Falls, Minn., that at a Graham Crusade in San Paulo Brazil the Roman Catholic Bishop stood beside him and blessed the converts as they came forward. Graham said that this illustrated 'something tremendous, an awakening of reform and revival within Christianity' was happening. ('New York Times' Nov. 9th, 1963).

5th July 1968 in 'Christianity Today' Billy spoke of cooperation with apostate Romanism and said, 'I don't think we have all to unite and be one big church to do the work of God, but there are areas where we can cooperate'.

1st July 1966. Dr. Graham commended Dr. Leslie Weatherhead who was on Graham's platform. This infidel Weatherhead said that our Lord Jesus was born as a result of sexual relations between Mary and the priest Zacharias. ('Cooperative Evangelism at Harringay' by Boland; 'United Church Observer' July 1966).

July 1966 in this same 'United Church Observer', subscribing to theistic evolution (which pleases liberals and New Evangelicals), Graham said concerning creation, 'How you believe doesn't affect the doctrine. Either at a certain moment in evolution God breathed into one particular ape-man who was Adam, or God could have taken a handful of dust and blowed and created a man just like that' ('Sunday Magazine' June 1966). THIS IS LIBERALISM!

Gresham Machen once declared, 'liberalism is not Christianity'. Fifty years later the world's leading evangelist claims he is preaching Christianity but supports, promotes and encourages liberalism. Dr. Harold Ockenga, the father of New Evangelicalism once said that Billy Graham is the evangelist of New Evangelicalism which has accepted the non-Biblical philosophy of infiltration. The Bible commands separation.

1977 at Inter-Varsity's Urbana, Graham showed his indifference to the infallible Holy Scriptures when he said, 'evangelicals should avoid divisiveness over such matters as Biblical inerrancy' (as reported by Evangelical 'Press Service'). The Bible's inerrancy is Christianity's foundation. If it is not inerrant, we have no authority.

Billy Graham honoured the episcopal bishop Pike by asking him to lead in prayer at his San Francisco Crusade. Bishop Pike once said, 'I have abandoned ship on the doctrine of the Trinity' 'I have jettisoned the doctrine of the virgin birth of Jesus Christ'. ('Christian Beacon' Mar. 17th 1955).

The blood of Christ, without which there is no remission of sins, Graham avoids in his preaching. This doctrine upsets the liberal supporters. Feb. 29th 1968 on his own letterhead his staff says concerning the blood of Christ, 'this aspect of Christian doctrine he does not emphasize in his messages. This is the duty and prerogative of the pastors'.

Oct. 21st 1973 at Milwaukee Graham said, 'This past week I preached in a great Catholic cathedral ... as I sat there going through the funeral mass, that was a beautiful thing and certainly straight and clear in the Gospel I believe'. ('Billy Graham' by L.L. Bynum Lubbock, Texas). The Roman Catholic mass is a blasphemous fable.

Jan. 6th 1973. Advising a Roman Catholic couple disillusioned with their church, in the 'Sun Telegram' Billy Graham said, 'Don't pull out of the church. Stay in it ... help your church'. Graham has swallowed the seducing deceit of Vatican II which said concerning non-Romanists who were once called heretics and burned, 'These separated brethren are respected as baptized believers and gifted as they are by the Holy Spirit, their actions truly engender a life of grace'. Romanism used to anathematize Protestants, today it anathematizes them. Speaking on infant christening Graham said, 'I do believe that something happens at the baptism of an infant ... we cannot fully understand the mysteries of God, but I believe that a miracle can happen in these children so that they are regenerated, that is, made Christian, through infant baptism'. ('Lutheran Standard' 'Time' Oct. 27th 1961).

Oct. 1977. TV Broadcast during SE Michigan Crusade Dr. Graham said, 'We get just enough money to pay our bills'. Even as he said that he must have known, as was revealed some months later, that there was a secret fund of $23 million which was money given by Christians for evangelism. Graham admitted that some of this was given to organisations that are ecumenical and new evangelical. ('Plains Baptist Challenger' Nov. 1977).

Jan 1978 in an interview given to McCall's Magazine Graham said, 'I used to believe that pagans in far off countries were lost going to hell if they did not have the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached to them. I NO LONGER BELIEVE THAT. I believe that there are other ways of recognizing God through nature for instance and plenty of other ways of saying 'yes' to God'. Our blessed Lord Jesus said 'No man cometh unto the Father, but by Me' (John 14:6). Later, Billy's Minneapolis office issued a statement by Billy, 'On the whole I am pleased with the accuracy of the article (McCall's) ... a few statements unfortunately convey meanings which I never intended. This may be due to my own failure to make myself as plain as I should have'. He did not however, deny the statements or say that he was misquoted. In the same McCall's article Graham says, 'I've found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Roman Catholics ... we differ on some matters of later church tradition'.

Mar. 16th 1978 at the Royal York Hotel, Toronto, Graham spoke of calling the church back to 'Biblical authority' and then promptly proceeded to say that, 'Lutherans, Anglicans and Catholics are members of the body of Christ' without qualifying his statement with the Biblical essential of the new birth through repentance and faith in Christ. Billy's peculiar universalism came out as he spoke of 'The cosmic Christ Who is going to redeem all creation'. The Bible does not teach that. The contemporary cage of unclean birds called ecumenicity has the anathema of God upon it. Graham says, 'We communicate the Bible by our unity. I believe in ecumenicity'. The Bible erects barriers between light and darkness, between believers and unbelievers, between Christ and Belial. Yet Rev. Desmond Hunt, Anglican chairman of the Toronto Crusade says, 'When the corn is high, the fences disappear'. GOD ERECTED THOSE FENCES! Rev. Berkley Renolds, Crusade Committee member, a minister of the apostate United Church of Canada, spoke of 'This great ecumenical gathering' and urged his hearers to make the June Toronto Crusade, 'One of the greatest demonstrations of the ecumenicity of the Spirit'.

Modernists and apostates with whom Billy Graham has fellowshipped, and used in his crusades:

The Lord Jesus said, 'If ye love Me, keep My commandments'. (John 14:15). God has said, 'To the law and to the testimony if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them'. (Isa 8:20). We ask every reader to study the following Scriptures and then compare their commands to the practices of Dr. Billy Graham.

Ephesians 5:11
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Corinthians 6:14-18
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 John 1:9-11
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

2 Thessalonians 3:6
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Hosea 4:17
Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.

2 Peter 2:1-2
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

1 Timothy 6:3-5
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Romans 16:17
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Matthew 7:15-16
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

2 Chronicles 19:2
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.

THESE ARE THE COMMANDS OF GOD!

The great C.H. Spurgeon, upon whom the Spirit of God rested in such abundance said, 'I dread much the spirit which would tamper with Truth for the sake of united action, or for any other object under heaven the latitudinarian spirit which sneers at creeds and dogmas. TRUTH IS NO TRIFLE! Not so thought our fathers, when at the stake they gave themselves to death, or on the brown heather of Scotland fell beneath the swords of Claverhouse's Dragoons for truth which men nowadays count unimportant, but which being truths were to them so vital that they would sooner DIE than suffer them to be dishonoured.

O for the same uncompromising love of truth! ..... I pray God evermore to preserve us from unity in which the truth shall be considered valueless, in which principle gives place to policy, in which the noble and masculine virtues which adorn the Christian hero are to be supplemented by an effeminate affection of charity. May the Lord deliver us from indifference to His word and will ... may God perpetually send some prophet who shall cry aloud to the world, 'Your covenant with death shall be disannulled, your agreement with Hell shall not stand'. May there ever be found some men though they be rough as Amos, or stern as Haggai, who shall denounce again and again all league with error and all compromise with sin, and declare that these are the abhorrence of God ... The destruction of every sort of union which is not based on TRUTH, is a preliminary to the edification of the unity of the Spirit'.

Very simply, if the Bible be true Billy Graham is not only wrong but has been and now is a serious danger to the purity of the Gospel and the Church. If the Bible be true, then every blood- bought child of God cannot support or promote the Billy Graham Crusades anywhere. Unscriptural means can never justify the end, be it evangelism or ought else. We appeal earnestly to churches and believers to prayerfully consider the factual information contained in this pamphlet, which is fully documented.
