WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC #4
The Marriage Atmosphere
Brian Kocourek
Last night we again examined
a statement from Brother Branham's Message, WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC. So far We have focused our thoughts on his
opening prayer. Last night we examined something he said in the close of that
prayer which I thought had much merit, and should be gone over with a fine
tooth come. He said "Now, bless us tonight,
Lord, as we speak of Thy Word. And the promises that's given to us, may we (1) nurture them in our heart, (2)
cherish them with (3) reverence, and (4) obey them with
real (5) godly discipline. For we ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen."
We broke down these words
and found the focus is on other not on self.
This morning I would like to
look once again look at these five points of gratitude that we should have
concerning the promises of God for us in this hour, and show how they create an
atmosphere which can be utilized in our own marriages.
"We're so
grateful to Thee our God we're so glad that we found the safety zone,
the retreat, and
we ask that "you bless us tonight, Lord, as we
speak of Thy Word. And the promises that's given to us, The promises that's
given to us, may we (1) nurture them in our heart, (2) cherish them with
reverence, and (3) obey them with real godly discipline. For we ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen
As we examined these 5
points I wanted you to notice that these five things mentioned here all speak
of a relationship and the expected behavior that a husband and wife have for
each other. Brother Branham said we should do these
things for this great Revealed Promise. He said, We should nurture, cherish,
reverence, and obey with Godly Discipline.
Therefore, let's examine
each of these words and see how they speak of the relationship of a wife to her
groom, or of the Wife to that life that is forming up within her getting ready
to bring forth the promise of a new body. After all, brother Branham said when
Word is added to Word it will build that glorified body that we are promised to
come.
II CORINTHIANS 5:1 ¶
For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were
dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in
the heavens. 2 For in this we groan,
earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall
not be found naked. 4 For we that are
in [this] tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be
unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the
selfsame thing [is] God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Therefore [we are] always confident,
knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8
We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the
body, and to be present with the Lord. 9
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted
of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that
every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he
hath done, whether [it be] good or bad.
Before we go further with
our study, I want to balance this sdtatement Paul makes with one that Jesus
makes.
JOHN
JOHN
I JOHN 3:8 He that committeth
sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose
the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;(does not initiate sin) for His seed
remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest,
and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,
neither he that loveth not his brother.
RAPTURE THE
65-1204 89 My little story about the eagle finding
the--his mother finding the eagle. You've heard me preach on that, how that
little eagle was hatched under a hen. But she... Her habits of trying to feed
them--them chickens, the little eagle couldn't stomach it, because he wasn't a
chicken to begin with, yet he was in the pen with the chickens and followed the
chickens. But she'd scratch in the barnyard and things, and the little eagle
couldn't stand it. But every time she would cluck and everything, all the
little chickens would go, so he'd go to. But one day his mother knew that she
had laid two eggs, not one. There had to be another one somewhere. She went to
hunt it. Flying around, circling, finally she come over the barnyard, and she
found her baby. And she screamed to him. It was a voice that he realized that
that's the thing that fit. That was what he's looking for. See? And he realized
then that he wasn't a chicken; he was an eagle. And that's the way with every
borned again Christian. When you come, I don't care how many denominations you
join, how many names you put your name on the books and things, when that real
Word of God is vindicated and made true before you, like that, you realize
you're an eagle right there. Because all this clucking of the hen, you join
this, and join this and go this way and that way, it's nonsense. It's a genuine
adding word to Word. 91 When a germ
comes into the womb of a--of the female, it don't take on... You--you didn't
become a human germ from your father, and then the next thing you become a germ
from a dog, and the next thing from a cat, and the next thing from a chicken;
it was all human germ. And the Body of Jesus Christ. The Bride, will be part of
His Body which will... He was the Word, and the Bride will have to be the Word,
Word added to Word added to Word. Luther's justification, Wesley's sanctification,
Pentecostal's baptism with the Holy Spirit, restoration of the gifts, and all
the rest of it goes with it. It's got to be Word on top of Word, germ on top of
germ, life on top of life, to bring out the full statue of the Bride of the
Lord Jesus Christ. 92 Now, you
remember, you was a attribute.
In fact Paul said,
ROMANS 8:1 ¶ [There is]
therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from
the law of sin and death. 3 For what
the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his
own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the
flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the
law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit. 5 For they that are after the
flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the
things of the Spirit. 6 For to be
carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity
against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot
please God. 9 But ye are not in the
flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if
any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 ¶
And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the
Spirit [is] life because of righteousness. 11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in
you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal
bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the
flesh. 13 For if ye live after the
flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the
body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of
God, they are the sons of God. 15 For
ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received
the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our
spirit, that we are the children of God: 17
¶ And if children, then heirs;
heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him],
that we may be also glorified together. 18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy
[to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature
waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to
vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in
hope, 21 Because the creature itself
also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious
liberty of the children of God. 22 For
we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until
now. 23 And not only [they], but ourselves
also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within
ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope
that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not,
[then] do we with patience wait for [it]. 26
¶ Likewise the Spirit also helpeth
our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the
hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession
for the saints according to [the will of] God. 28 And we know that all things work together
for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his]
purpose. 29 ¶ For whom he did foreknow, he also did
predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the
firstborn among many brethren. 30
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he
called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 ¶
What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be]
against us? 32 He that spared not his
own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely
give us all things? 33 Who shall lay
any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth. 34 Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ
that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of
God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are
killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him that loved us. 38
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other
creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ
Jesus our Lord.
GOD'S.POWER TO
TRANSFORM 65-0911 252
Enoch was translated from death by God's transforming power. What did
God do that for? For a type of the rapturing church that's coming. Yeah. Elijah
was the same. Jesus' body was quickened after it was dead. And in the grave,
Jesus' body was quickened by the Word of God, and transformed, from a dead,
cold image to a resurrected, glorified Son of God; because the prophet (Psalms
16:10, if you want to put it down, 16:10), said, "I'll not leave His soul
in hell, neither will I suffer My holy One to see corruption." O God. That
Word has to come to pass, It's God's Word. Plant It in your heart, if you want
to go in a rapture. If you want to be Christians, genuine, place this Word. As
I believe it was Ezekiel, God said, "Take that scroll and eat it up,"
that the prophet and the Word would become the same. And every promise in there
has to manifest itself, because it's God's original Seed. Don't you let some
educated theologian out here try to pump It out of you. Don't you let him spray
you with that carnal science, and knowledge, and education. Believe God.
I CORINTHIANS
15:12 ¶ Now if Christ be preached
that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no
resurrection of the dead? 13 But if
there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our
preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of
God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised
not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16
For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith
[is] vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18
Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in
Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20
¶ But now is Christ risen from
the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that sl 21 For since by man [came] death, by man
[came] also the resurrection of the dead. 22
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have
delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down
all rule and all authority and power. 25
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed
[is] death. 27 For he hath put all
things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under [him, it is]
manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto
him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things
under him, that God may be all in all. 29
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead
rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? 30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I
have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32 If after the manner of men I have fought
with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us
eat and drink; for to morrow we die. 33
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for
some have not the knowledge of God: I speak [this] to your shame. 35 ¶ But
some [man] will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they
come? 36 [Thou] fool, that which thou
sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37
And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but
bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other [grain]:
38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased
him, and to every seed his own body. 39
All flesh [is] not the same flesh: but [there is] one [kind of] flesh of
men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, [and] another of birds.
40 [There are] also celestial bodies,
and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial [is] one, and the
[glory] of the terrestrial [is] another. 41
[There is] one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and
another glory of the stars: for [one] star differeth from [another] star in
glory. 42 So also [is] the resurrection of the dead.
It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in
glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a
spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam
was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that [was] not first which is
spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man [is] of the earth,
earthy: the second man [is] the Lord from heaven. 48 As [is] the earthy, such [are] they also
that are earthy: and as [is] the heavenly, such [are] they also that are
heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the
image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and
blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit
incorruption. 51 ¶ Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not
all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall
be changed. 53 For this corruptible
must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on
incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be
brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where [is] thy sting? O
grave, where [is] thy victory? 56 The
sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law. 57 But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58
¶ Therefore, my beloved brethren,
be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch
as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
