My Spirit will not Always Strive with Man
Brian Kocourek
JOHN 5:24 Verily, verily, I
say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath
everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation (That is the Judgment); but is passed from death unto life.
On May 20th I
preached a message on the White Throne Judgment using Paragraph 62, of WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC and II Corinthians 5:9 as the text.
II CORINTHIANS 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present
or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the
judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his]
body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad. 11
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made
manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
If there are any questions
concerning the White throne and whether or not you will be standing there to be
judged for every sin you ever committed in your life, or whether you will be
sitting with Christ judging the rest of the world, You can hear the message
again on the internet. I believe that message was one of the best salvation
messages I have ever preached, because it really put you on the spot. Either
you get right now, or you will have to answer for everything you ever did, and
will do.
Let's turn to the Scriptures
to see I am right or not. I JOHN 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in
darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (Now, what is that saying.
If we profess to be in Fellowship with Christ, and yet are living in sin, and
unbelief then we are lying.) Then God's Word goes on to say, 7 But (Now
the word but means, on the other hand) if (And IF is not all inclusive. IF means there is a
condition placed with it.)He says, if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, (then
it will bring some benefits) we have fellowship one
with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us
from all sin. (IF we do this then we have forgiveness, IF we walk in
the light, He did not say, IF we talk the word, IF we can talk the talk, He
said, IF we walk in the light, the Same Light that He is in, the same light
that He lives in, the Very Presence that God is dwelling in, IF we walk in that
Presence, and Live in that Presence, then it will bring fellowship and
cleansing. And what IF we don't? Then you are still in your sins, period. ) 8 ¶ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive (ONLY)
ourselves, and the truth is not in us. :9 If (There's that
IF again. IF we do what?) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us
[our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Therefore, IF
you are not walking in the very same Light or Word that His Presence is
dwelling in, and IF you are not confessing your sin while in that light, then
yes, you will have to confess it one day, at the White Throne Judgment, and
there will be no mercy then, for NOW is the time for mercy.
This morning I would like to again speak from WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC
paragraph 70, where brother Branham said, "He that's born of God doth not
commit sin; he cannot sin." Now, before
we go any further, who can tell me where that scripture is located? He said, "He
that's born of God doth not commit sin; he cannot sin."
I JOHN 3:7 Little children,
let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he
(God) is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the
devil;
for the devil
sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was
manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is
born of God doth not commit sin;(Now the Greek word for commit is poieo pronounced
poy-eh-o, and means to initiate, celebrate, or habitually do) for his (God's)
seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin (He has no power or
permission to sin), because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the
children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither
he that loveth not his brother. Now, what does he mean by that?
Is he just joking? Or is this the Word of God? He says here, whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,.
Then are we to avoid this because it is too controversial? I think not. You can
call a buzzard an eagle if you want to but just because you say it doesn't make
it so. And you can call yourself born again if you wish, but your life will
bear you out.
The worldly Christian has a
slogan, "WWJ" or "What Would Jesus do?" And it's just a
slogan, because when it comes right down to it, they want to do what they want
to do, and then they want to say Jesus would do it because they do it. That's
like the Liberal who will not call sin, sin. They justify it if it's done by
someone in their own party. Then they will try to point to other men who have
been looked up to and try to tarnish their reputation with scurrilous lies. The
homosexual wants to portray every great man in history as having been a
homosexual, so that it might lessen the reproach. And if they can't do that
then they try to say David and Jonathan were, and then you have movie makers
like that reprobate that made the movie about Jesus committing fornication with
Mary Magdalene, They can say what they
want to but right is right and wrong is wrong, and your saying it isn't will
not change it. And the White Throne will bear out the truth regardless. Every
Knee will bow, and Every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. So you
had better start do that now, or else it will be too late and you will have to
do it then whether you want to or not.
Now, after brother Branham
quotes from 1 John 3 he then swings right into Romans 8. Romans 8:1. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are
in Christ Jesus; they walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." There you are. See, that throws your body subject.
You don't have to say, "Oh, if I could just quit drinking, if I could
just..." Just get in Christ; it's all gone. See, see? Because your body
is subject to the Spirit, it's no more subject to the things of the world;
they're dead. They are dead; your sins are buried in baptism; and you are a
new creation in Christ. And your body becoming subject to the Spirit, try to
live a right kind of life... Now,
if it throws your body subject, it throws your body subject. Let's not try to
change the meaning of what he said. Now, let's see if he is saying the same
thing as the Apostle Paul.
ROMANS 8:1 ¶
[There is] therefore now no condemnation (Katakrima, the word means damnatory sentence, in
other words, theree is no White Throne) to them
which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.(Notice
again, it's not what you say that cou8nts,
it's your walk) who walk not after the flesh, but
after the Spirit 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made (or
set) me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For
what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending
his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the
flesh: 4 That the righteousness (The right-wise-ness or the correct
underastanding) of the law might be fulfilled in us,
(here it is again) who walk not after
the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they
that are after the Spirit (do mind) the
things of the Spirit.
6
For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life
and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not
subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (Now, that is a pretty strong statement to make. He
says it can't be subject, it is not possible) 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot
please God. (Now, how is it that you think you can please God when
you know in your heart that you are not living like He wants you to live) 9(Now, this is the key, this next verse.) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be
that the Spirit of God dwell in you.(In other words, wiothout the
Spirit of god dwelling in you you can not be spirit motivated, and spirit
conscious) Then Paul tells it like it is, and doesn't hold back any punches
here. Now if any man
have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 ¶ And
if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is]
life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus
from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also
quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore,
brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if
ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify
the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit
of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of
bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we
cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that
we are the children of God: 17 ¶ And if
children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that
we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon
that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with
the glory which shall be revealed in us.
72 Like you women
claiming you got Holy Ghost and going out here and wearing shorts and things,
how could you do it? How could the Spirit of God in you ever let you do such
a thing as that? It just can't be so. Certainly it can't be. He's not a
filthy spirit; He's a holy Spirit. (Then what of it. Do you have a longing to do what
is not right? What is not Right-wise-ness? If you do, then you are not born of
God! Is that not what He and the scriptures are telling us?) And then when you become subject to that Spirit, it throws
your whole being subject to that Spirit. And that Spirit is nothing in the
world but this Seed Word made manifest, or quickened (Hallelujah.), made alive. And when the Bible said, "Don't do this," that
body quickly turns to it; there's no question. And what is it? It's the
earnest of the resurrection. This body will be raised up again, because it's
already started. It was once subject to sin, and mire, and corruption, but now
it's got the earnest; it's turned heavenly. Now, that's the earnest that you're
going in the rapture. It's the earnest.
But, what if you don't have that
earnest. Look, God has been calling sinners to repentance in this town for 20
some years now, but will they come? No! they would rather try and justify
themselves, than to break down and repent, and ask God for forgiveness.
They justify themselves and
say, "well, I don't wear shorts, I wear pants." Well, let me read to
you what God's prophet says about that. THINGS THAT
ARE TO BE 65-1205 97 Now, notice this. Live for Him, keeping ourselves from the
world. Now, look. You look on television, some of you sisters, and you go down
here and you want... You young women, you're young; I know that, but you're a
Christian. See? You're different. You don't want to be like the world. You love
the world's--not only you young ones, but some of you older ones. See? Well,
what does that? See? You watch television; you go down to the store; and you
see these little old clothes that women wear that's ungodly. Do you know what's
going to happen at the day of judgment? You might be just as virtuous to your
husband as you can be, but in the day of judgment you're going to have to
answer for committing adultery. Jesus said, "Whosoever looketh upon a
woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his
heart." Who's to blame? You. See? You presented yourself: them shorts and
slacks. Some women said to me not long ago, said, "I don't wear shorts,
Brother Branham. I thank the Lord for that. I wear slacks." I said,
"That's worse; that's worse."
FAITHFUL
ABRAHAM 61-0312 E-56
One day I was speaking against women wearing shorts, and a woman
said to me, "I don't wear them." I said, "What's that you got
on?" She said... What is them things? Pedal pushers, or ever what it was,
like that. I said... No, dungarees... I said, "It's... That's worse than
ever. The Bible said it's an abomination for a woman to put on a garment
that pertains to a man." That's right. Up in Klamath Falls, recently,
a lady wrote me a big long letter. She said, "What about a woman then out
riding horses in a mosquito infested area, out there riding, rounding up the
cattle? What do you think about her wearing a dress out there? Or when she's in
the garden, when she has to stoop over and pull up things from the
garden?" I said, "My mother and
my wife both wear dresses, and they had no trouble. They wear them long enough
when they stoop down, that's all of it."
REMEMBERING THE LORD 63-0122
E-83 How many of you women wear shorts, and them
clothes, or smoke cigarettes, and you men too, that know that you're doing
wrong, and you say, "I don't want to do that, Brother Branham. I really
love God, but I... That thing just holds on to me, and I know it's a evil
thing. I'm going to raise my hand, and ask--and raising my hand, I'm asking God
to move it from me." Raise your hand; be honest. God bless you. That's
right. That's sincerity; that's honest. God will give us a healing meeting
in a minute on that sincerity, if we can believe that. Have faith in God.
Look, if you are having
trouble with those things, then God is greater than your sin. Ask him sincerely
and He will deliver you. If you need deliverance, I will pray for you and I
believe God will deliver you because He promised to. But if you don't care then
you have hardened yourself and there is no hope for you.
There's coming a time when
you have mercy any longer. EPHESIANS 4:30 And grieve not the
holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
I don't know how you can
hang around this message for years and never let go of the things of the world.
This is the time of the once for all enlightenment and when that is turned
down, there is nothing left but the judgment.
HEBREWS 6:4 For [it is]
impossible for those who were once for all enlightened, and have tasted of the
heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the
good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 Having fallen away, it
is impossible for them to ever renew themselves again unto repentance; seeing
they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open
shame.
God will not always strive
with man. There is coming a time when you will have heard your last warning and
then it will be too late.
GENESIS 6:1 ¶ And it came to pass, when men began to
multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That
the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took
them wives of all which they chose. 3
¶ And the LORD said, My spirit shall
not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be
an hundred and twenty years. And if that hasn't repeated all over again then I
don't know what I'm talking about. Alpha has come full circle to Omega.
Conflict Between
God and Satan 62-0531 E-46 Now, a great sign of the end-time. Let's
read another verse. And the Lord said, "My Spirit shall not always strive
with man..." Immediately after this took place... marrying... Luke tells
us that. I got it wrote down here. I think Luke 7:27 said that how... or Luke
17:27 said that how that they married and give in marriage in the days of Noah.
See how it was? The same thing. Men looked upon the attractiveness... Sons of
God supposed to be holding the fort, looked upon the daughters of men. How they
become so attractive, fair, and they took to them wives, and they married and
gave in marriage. Same thing they're doing today. See? And the Lord said, My
Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh:
Jubilee Year 54-1003E
80 Now,
the bad part of it is, friends, if you grieve the Holy Spirit once too often,
then you have crossed the separating line. You come to a place where there's no
more repentance left for you, and you'll be sealed into the kingdom of
darkness, where you'll never see the Lord Jesus. You'll never see the hope of
Life, and you'll be marked out for good and forever. What a solemn warning.
Oh, I hope the Holy Spirit sinks it into your heart. You who are standing at
the borderline, you who have thought, a lot of times, "I'd like to be a
full-surrendered Christian, if I can just make up my mind when to do
it."... Oh, my brother, sister, do you realize that this may be the last
opportunity you'll ever have to become that? It may be the last night that
you'll ever have the opportunity to become a Christian believer. It may be from
tonight on, that you've turned down the Message of God for the last time. Then
you'll be, in the sight of God, marked off in apostasy.
MARK OF THE BEAST 56-0715
E-50 What is it by a
mother? The little egg lays there. The little seed lays there waiting for the
male. And as soon as the male germ comes... The male germ rushes quick. And
what is it? A blood cell. It opens itself. Oh, God, can you hear--understand
what I mean? God, let it... It opens itself, and around this forms a little
pocket of blood. On the inside of this puts this little egg to life, and in
there begins to come forth. In there brings life. We are conceived by the Holy
Ghost. The Spirit of God comes into our hearts, brings a new Person Christ
Jesus; old things die. And if you reject to hear it and just keep...
"Well, my preacher said this, that, or the other." And you refuse
to have life, you become sterile. Then you come to a place where you can't have
no more children. You're sterile. You're in reproach. You can't have
children. And if you grieve the Spirit of God too many times, you are
sealed. You don't hear It no more. First time you hear it, oh, my, you let
your hair grow out. You act like ladies. You didn't wear these things. You act
like a lady; you act like a man. You kept your house in order; you done those
things. But then all at once It begin to move around. What was it? You never
let the life come in and go to work. You died prematurely. That's right.
E-51 Now, let the Spirit of God come
in, come through the hearing of the Word. You heard it. That's the Bible. If
you receive the mark of the beast, you're lost forever. If you receive the Seal
of God you're sealed forever. And there's the two spirits is working.
Lamb's Book of Life 56-0603
E-42 Now watch. And he caused
all, both small, great (That's rich or poor.), bond or free, male or female,
man or a woman, child, or whoever who it was. He caused all, both small and
great, to receive a mark in their forehead, and are sealed into the kingdom of
darkness. Now, there's two seals a going on today. And you don't know
just what time... Oh, brother, let this go way down deep. You don't know what
time, that you that's on the borderline today is going to make your final
decision. That's right. You can't totter too long. "My Spirit will not
always strive with man." So you may toddle along for a while, but, "My
Spirit will not always strive with men being on the borderline."
Notice, the mark of the beast is the mark of an apostasy, the devil, the works
of the devil. Jesus said, "By their church membership, by their theology,
by their seminary experience? By their fruit you shall know them."
MIGHTY CONQUEROR 57-0808
E-60 Isn't that wonderful?
What's happened? That's the greatest miracle that ever performed when God comes
to the heart and speaks. Now, I'm sure of this that there's others here should
be standing. Now, while you remain standing, you that are. God said, "My
Spirit will not always strive with man." Oh, as an evangelist, around the
world, twenty-five years on the field, how many heart broken stories could I
tell you of people who's failed to do it. And meet me later on, them dead
sometimes before you could even get to them. Screaming and crying for mercy, go
out to meet God without hope, without anything. Because they fail. "My
Spirit will not always strive." Come to your feet there, sinner. You
backslider, you that's impersonating a Christian, you that hasn't got that real
something in your heart. No matter how good you are, but for... Your
pastor, your name might be real bright at your church, but what is it in glory?
You might have a good standing here on earth, but what is it in heaven? If it's
not real, and God hasn't witnessed it by genuine love that would drive you
beyond what that mother deer did; then you better stand and accept Christ.
Don't be deceived;
Now, in closing, I would
like to play a portion of a tape for you to hear. Listen Carefully and be
praying for each other.
God's Provided Way 59-0415A
E-67 Now just remember,
Christian friend, this may be the last opportunity. The place where I'm
staying, I'm counting the ambulance calls. Since I've been there, about twelve
days now, there's an ambulance call pretty near day and night, within every
twenty minutes. Think of it. Oh, I need Thee, Lord. How long will it be before
your time's up? You don't know when. Don't take a chance on this, friend. Oh,
if you're here, and you know you're not right, have you grieved the Holy Spirit
so many times from your heart, that He doesn't deal with you no more? I'd burst
with the faintest little call. You know, His Spirit won't always strive with
man. Someday It's going to quit striving. And you can just... He can knock,
tell you you're wrong, knock, tell you you're wrong, and you keep ward It away,
after while, It won't come at all no more.
E-68
I talked to a young girl down in the South some time ago in a Baptist
Church. I seen her setting back in the audience. And I said, "Young
lady," after church... Oh, I mean while the altar call, I said,
"Won't you come give your life to Christ?" Oh, my, did she get angry
with me. And after the service, she met me at the door. She said, "Listen
here, Mr. Branham," she said, "I didn't appreciate that
embarrassment, you calling and pointing your finger to me." I said,
"The Holy Spirit told me to do it." I said, "You know you're not
right with God." She said, "That's be--my business. I'm too
young." She said, "I got to see some life yet." I said,
"Young lady, you may be grieving your--your Lord from your heart the last
time." She said, "My father's a deacon in that church." I said,
"If your father was pastor in that church, it wouldn't make a bit of
difference. The Holy Spirit's calling you; you better receive It. It might come
a time where you want to and you can't." And she made fun of me. Stuck
her--them little painted lips up, and turned her head like that, sassy, and
walked away.
E-69 About a year later (It was in Memphis.) I
come down the street, and I looked at that same young woman--out of a nice
home--her underneath skirts hanging down, going down the street with a
cigarette in her mouth. And I walked up to her, and I said, "How do you
do." She said, "Hello, preacher." And she looked at me like
that, and her... she's half drunk. Said, "Have a cigarette." I said,
"Aren't you ashamed of yourself."
Said,
"Maybe..." Reached down in her purse, and said, "Maybe
you'd--you'd--you'd take a drink out of my bottle." I said, "Aren't
you ashamed of yourself."
I took her by the shoulder, and I said,
"Is your father still deacon?" Said, "I haven't heard from him
for a year." Said, "I want to tell you something, preacher." She
got out a cigarette, and put a little shot of dope in it, begin to smoke, and
her nerves quietened. I stood on the corner, looked at her. She said, "You
know what you told me that night by them rose bushes?" I said, "I
shall never forget it." She said, "You told me the truth." Said,
"You can say it wherever you want to. But since that night..." I'm
going to make a remark now that'll send chills up your back. She said,
"Since that night... You told me the truth that that was my last
call." She said, "I... My heart has been so hard, till I could see my
mother's soul fry in hell like a pancake, and laugh at it." It just
chilled me. I just turned and walked away down the street, crying. I couldn't
help it. A fine young lady.
E-70
"My Spirit will not always strive with man." If you've
got the faintest little call in your heart..." Bring the... Come on up
here, this is the place. Once more, and then we'll pray. I need Thee, O, I need
Thee; Every hour I need Thee! O bless...
I... A Baptist pastor friend of mine preached her funeral about five
years later. She was killed in a roadhouse in a fight. And when her old father
was rolling her body out the door, he threw his arms around her and said,
kissed her, said, "Good bye, darling, forever--forever--forever." I need Thee, O... (Won't you come,
friend? Every hour I need Thee; O bless me now, my Saviour,..
GOD PROJECTING HIS LOVE 57-0806
E-56 You believe on the
Lord? Certainly you do. You believe His Presence here? Now, I want every man or
woman that's backslid, or accepted Christ awhile ago, come here before we
finish the prayer for the sick. Come here just a minute while this Anointing is
here. Come forward, you that raised your hands awhile ago. Walk right out down
here just a minute to--in the Presence of Christ, so I can ask the blessing
over you. Come right down here now, right quick, so we can finish with the
prayer while the... Come right on down now.
There is a fountain filled with blood,
Drawn from Emmanuel's veins. When
sinners plunge beneath the flood, Lose
all their guilty stains. In the Presence of Jesus Christ, come forward now.
Will you do it? All right. All right, who's the song leader now? You, sir?
[Brother Branham talks to the song leader--Ed.] Won't you come now? There is a
fountain filled with blood, Drawn from Immanuel's veins, And sinners plunged
beneath the flood, Lose all their guilty stains. Lose all their guilty... Come,
sinner friend, backslider, cold, lukewarm, indifferent. Come from the
balconies. We're giving you this opportunity to come now and accept this Lord
Jesus Who takes the sting out of death.
E-57
Surely I know what I'm talking about. He wouldn't let me do these
things, prove that He's here. Lose... You want to lose your guilty stains? Come
right on down now, each one. What's the matter with you, Canadians? What's the
matter? It's a good thing to be conservative, but don't be too starchy. You're
going to grieve the Spirit away from you, and you won't have no revival. Listen
at me. I speak in the Name of the Lord. Break up that stubbornness among you,
that starchy... Get to your knees. You know you need repenting. I speak in
Jesus Christ's Name.
E-58 Yes, sir, if you want to have a revival,
warm your heart to God. There's a dozen or two of you more needs to be around
this altar tonight. And if I'm the servant of God, if I'm the prophet of God, I
speak in His Name, and you know who I'm talking to. Plan your place here at the
altar. You're too starchy. You better get right with God, 'cause the hour is
coming when you're going to scream to find this, and you won't find it. That's
THUS SAITH THE LORD. That's God speaking. All right. Find your way around this
altar. You who are indifferent, shame on you. When the Holy Spirit come and do
the things that He's doing right in the midst of you, and you set like a--like
you was froze to death. Get out of the seat and get to the altar; repent or
perish. That's true. Don't know why I'm saying this. Something is saying to me
to say it. I'm giving you a warning. This may be your last one too. You repent.
I don't care what church you belong to.
If you're not repented and the love of God's
not in your heart, you're a sinner and on your road to hell. That's THUS SAITH
THE LORD. The same God Who discerns the spirits here and tells them their
condition, is speaking right now. I speak in Jesus Christ's Name. Fly to the
altar and get to your repentance, quickly, before God turns the page over on
you, and you're doomed forever. That's THUS SAITH THE HOLY SPIRIT that's in the
midst of us now. E-59 That's blunt, but that's Him. I can only
speak. God knows that I wouldn't say that within myself for nothing. Something
grabbed me and said, "Say that." I only obey God. While we're singing
one more verse, every soul of sin oppressed, you'd better come right now, for
that was Him speaking. He's speaking to your heart. You know He is. If there's
anything this country needs in here, is a breaking up. You got to have a
breaking up before you can be remolded again. You've just went to church so
long you got so moss backed, and stiff about it. That's right. You need a
repentance. You need an old fashion experience of God's love in your heart. And
you remind, my voice will haunt you as long as you're a mortal. That's true. I
speak in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.
There is a fountain filled with blood,
Drawn from Immanuel's veins, And
sin... Let me say another thing. You got something against somebody, you better
be making it right, right now. It's shutting off dark in this building. ... their guilty stains. "My spirit will
not always strive with man..." ...
their guilty stain, Lose all their
guilty stain; And sinners plunged... (I
believe I'd raise right out of my seat and come. If my heart wasn't just warmed
up to God, I'd make my way to the altar.)
... guilty stain. The dying thief
rejoiced to see That fountain in his
day; And there may I, though vile as
he, Wash all my sin away. Wash all my sin away, Wash all my sins away; And there may I, though vile as he, Wash all my sin away.
E-60 Friends, if God Almighty has spoken the
way... I have not seen this happen in years. I never had such a feeling as come
on me just a few moments ago, when I seen look like blackness waving through
this building. Something struck me and that was not my words or my will for my
words. God knows that's the truth. There's something wrong. You just remember
that. Listen, friends. I'm not a compromiser. I'm not a person that comes
wishy-washy. I tell the truth, and God vindicates that I do tell the truth.
That's right. And you just get so churchy until you leave Christ out. People
just get churchy. I'm glad to see your convictions. Your pastors are here.
Don't think they'll laugh at you. You'll win a place in your pastor's heart
that will never sink away. I admire a man who's wrong and will walk up and say,
"I'm wrong." Any other God-saved pastor would do the same thing. They
would admire it.
E-61 I'm going to ask the pastors to come here,
pray with me, with the rest of this audience. All the pastors, and the
missionaries, whatever you are, clergy, come forward now. Come around here and
let's pray. All of you together, walk up here. Let's stand around this group of
people. This meeting's gone on long enough, when--when it ought to be great
things happening. Why, the blind ought to be seeing; deaf... Here's wheelchairs
setting here in the middle of the aisle, and we haven't seen a wheelchair get
up yet. Why, shame on us. There's something wrong. We got to get this thing out
of here. God wants a revival here in Edmonton. I know He sent me. I've waited
ten years to come back to Edmonton, and the devil's trying to cheat this
revival. And you're going to know the truth. Now, what you think about me
that's--don't make any difference, but you're going to know the truth. There's
something wrong. God sent me here for a stirring and a revival, and you're
going to be guilty if you don't jump in, and do everything you can.
