Colors of the Great Living Fountain - Breastplate Stones02, the Colors

Exodus 28:29 And Aaron shall bear the names of Israel in the Breastplate of judgment upon his heart when he goeth unto the holy Place for a memorial before the Lord continually".

God gave the design for this breastplate of Judgment to Moses. It was to be worn over the heart of Aaron the High priest as He entered into the presence of God.

EXODUS 28:29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy [place], for a memorial before the LORD continually. 30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.

Remember, the Breastplate was designed by God Himself, and through it He would reveal His divine will to man. The breastplate was designed with the names of the twelve tribes engraved on the stones that were placed in four rows of three stones each. Each of the twelve stones represented one tribe of Israel and therefore all the people of Israel. As the high priest came into the presence of God, he carried over his heart the names of each tribe of Israel, which is God's heritage. The breastplate contained 12 gemstones. The material of the breastplate was woven with threads of gold and blue, purple and scarlet linen threads. The number of the threads and the order of the colors were, according to the "Targums” one of gold, six of blue, six of purple, and six of scarlet.

The breastplate consisted of two pieces, which formed a purse, or bag, and in which were kept the two sacred stones, named the Urim (representing light and excellence) and the Thummim (representing perfection and completion). These stones were God ordained instruments in which the High Priest used them to inquire God about matters concerning the children of Israel.

The Urim and Thummim were two Precious stones. When someone needed an answer from God before making an important decision, they would go to the high priest, and enquire of him to take their request into the presence of God for an answer. The high priest would stand before the Lamp stand, holding the Urim in one hand and the Thummin in the other. As the light reflected from the Urim and the Thummin onto the stones of the Breastplate, this flash of light provided up to 24 combinations (2 x 12). Since there are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet, the flashes of light could produce strings of letters.

As God breathed upon the Ark, the Veil would move, permitting a breeze to flicker the flames in the Lamp stand which would alter the angle of direction of the light onto the Urim and Thummin, and through them onto the Breastplate.

In this way God communicated directly, but not audibly, to the high priest and answer the enquiry. This is a type of the Word which we have for this day as Paul tells us in

II TIMOTHY 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

REVELATION CHAP FOUR PT 1 60-1231 184 Oh, tomorrow we got a great lesson, the Lord willing. Tomorrow we take the judgments; we take the sardine stone, see what it represents, what part it played. And we take the jasper, and we take all the different stones, and we take these all down through Ezekiel, back into Genesis, back over to Revelations, come down in the middle of the Bible, tie it together, these different stones and colors, and so forth. And then we bring it right straight back to that and see if that ain't right. See? See if it ain't the same color and everything, just the same thing. And the same Holy Spirit, the same God, showing the same signs, same wonders, doing the same thing just as He promised...

Upon the breastplate were four rows of precious stones with three stones in each row. Each stone had the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. The Jewish historian Josephus described these stones were laid in the breastplate "in the order of their birth",

Although the Hebrew names of the 12 stones are not in question, their translation is, and despite numerous attempts, the various translators cannot seem to agree to a single translation. G. W. Kunz in "The Curious Lore of Precious Stones" says: “In the Midrash Bemidbar, the Rabbinical commentary on numbers, the tribes are given in their order, with the stones appropriate to each and the color of the tribal standard pitched in the desert camp, this color corresponding in each case with that of the tribal stone”.

The Breastplate of Aaron

HEBREWS CHAPTER 1 57-0821 8-52 Now, in the Old Testament they had three different ways they can know a message. First the law, that was just the law. Then they had a prophet, a dreamer, and they had the Urim Thummim. Now, that may be a little deep. The Urim Thummim was the breastplate that Aaron wore on his breast. In there was twelve stones: jasper, sardius, carbuncle, so forth, on down. They got all twelve of the big stones that was in the breastplate, showing that he was the high priest of every tribe, the twelve tribes of Israel. This breastplate hung on a pillar in the church, and when a prophet prophesied, and they wanted to be sure it was right or not, the prophet or the dreamer stood before this Urim Thummim; and he told his dream or his vision, whatever he had saw. And if the sacred lights... Oh, do you see it? God's always dwelt in the supernatural realm. The conglomeration, those lights were just normal until this voice went forth. And when the voice struck those stones, if it wasn't supernatural, she laid dormant. But if it was supernatural, those lights all reflected the rainbow color together. Amen. Then that was God speaking, "That is My prophet. That dream came from Me." It was according to the Urim Thummim that they judged.

REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 196 But when John saw Him here, what was it? The day of redeeming was over. It was all over, so he seen Him back in His original condition, an amber color. The sun can only shines on half the world at a time (See?), as it goes around. But when John saw Him, He was setting to look upon as jasper and sardius stone, amber colors; mix the two together, you got amber. "And a amber color around the throne." Oh, my. Oh, I--I tell you, that just... We could just go on and on. Seven Spirits, seven colors, seven church ages, seven ministers, seven lights, everything's in a seven. God's perfect in seven. God worked six days; the seventh day He rested. The world will exist six thousand years, and the seventh thousand is the millennium.

The Breastplate

Today, even after centuries of study concerning the Breastplate of Aaron, we still can not fully distinguish the exact color of the stones because the translation of the Hebrew words for the stones is of some uncertainty as yet. There seems to be a great deal of disagreement as to their original colors; yet there are two of which we can be very certain. One is the corner stone, the other is the last stone in the breastplate. The corner stone is that of a sardius or sardine and this is always red. It is the symbol of flesh, and immediately as we look at the breastplate of the high priest, with those twelve glittering stones, (each representative of a tribe of Israel), upon his breast as he went into the Holy of Holies on the Day of Atonement; we see him taking the problems, the troubles, the sins and trials of the entire nation before Yahweh, seeking forgiveness. It is a beautiful picture, but immediately we think of the Apostle Paul in 1 Cor. 15:46, where he tells us of the order. He says, "first that which is natural, afterwards that which is spiritual."

We know that in the breastplate we are under the Law of Moses, and it is only fitting as we look at the corner stone of that breastplate that it should be a sardine or sardius -- a red stone, which speaks of Love. It is important that Christ is called both a sardine and a jasper stone in the book of the Revelation (4:3). He came bone of our bone, flesh of our flesh; he was made in all points like unto his brethren, but later he was immortalized -- he became the jasper stone, i.e. he gained immortality.

EXPECTATION 54-0220 E-35 Then I stood there a little while, and where the sun peaked out through the crevices of the rocks, as it was setting in the west, shining like the eye of God, looking, running to and fro through the earth, I noticed it shined against those trees. And where it took cold up that high, the ice had froze on the evergreens, making an icicle. And when it did, there come a rainbow across the valley. Now, this wolf hollering up here, and its mate in the bottom answering. My, and the elk herd, and the rainbow... I had my gun down against the tree. I run out there, and I raised up my hands, and I said, "O great Jehovah God, Who looks down from the heaven, the God... gave you this rain, and gave us this rainbow sign." I said, "I can see another rainbow sign in Revelations 2, where Jesus setting to look upon like jasper and sardine stone: Reuben and Benjamin, the first, the last, with a rainbow crossing the seven church ages, the colors; oh, the same yesterday, today and forever; Alpha, Omega; the beginning and the ending; He that was, which is and shall come; the Root and Offspring of David; the Morning Star." Setting behind me, seven colors, God's covenant with the Church, that He wrote with Jesus Christ, His Son, of a perfect redemption...

SHOW US THE FATHER 54-0811 E-9 And I remember as a kiddie, I used to get out at nighttime. The boys would be going to parties and things, but I'd get out and lay under the stars, and look at the sunsets, and the sunrises, and hear God speak in the wind as it roared through the trees and so forth. God's in His universe, if you'll just look around for Him. Don't you believe that? And then I noticed up here that day on the mountain, this beautiful rainbow come out. I come out behind the tree; I begin weeping. I just cried like a baby. I happened to listen to the elk herd then; the storm had scattered them. The great males were bugling one to another, while the storm broke them up. Old gray wolf got to howling up here on the hill, the mates are--mate answering down on the bottom. I tell you, The deep was calling to the deep for me. I felt like Peter said, "It's good to be here. Let's build three tabernacles, and stay here." How up there among the wilds, why would I ever have to come out? And--but there's sickness down below the hill, of course. E-10 And there in that moment, rejoicing, I raised up my hands, and I said, "Great Jehovah God, how marvelous You are, the Great Creator of heavens and earth. I see You in Revelations 1, Jesus setting there with a rainbow over His head. He's to look upon jasper and sardine stone; that's Benjamin and Reuben's stone, First and the Last, He that was, which is, and shall come, Root and Offspring of David, the Morning Star, the Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valley; standing with His covenant with the Church can't fail. The seven colors in the rainbow, the Seven Church Ages all blended together make one great resurrection of the body of Christ." Oh, my! Something begin to breathe out in me.

WHAT IS THAT IN THINE HAND 55-0611 E-49 I looked up and I seen tha... I thought, "Yeah. That rainbow." God gave that to Noah. He was to look upon like the rainbow as jasper and sardine stone. The first, the last, He that was, which is, and shall come, the Root and Offspring of David, the Morning Star." And around and around the tree I went again, just as hard as I could go, just a screaming to the top of my voice.

Now, remember the Breastplate is the Breast plate of judgment, therefore the colors are very significant that are in this breastplate. Especially the first and last. The first is red, which is Mercy, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, and the red is Love but it is love shown by giving life. No greater Love that a man has than he lay down his life for a friend. And yet when the love and mercy are rejected, there is nothing left but judgment, and that is what the last stone is, Amber, a mix of Green and Yellow, for the Judge of all the earth is hear in Judgment. REVELATION CHAP FOUR PT 1 60-1231 174 Now, notice. Oh. He finished His work in earth, and He's took His church, and now He sends the judgment. The world rejected Him, and He send His judgment. He and His church has gone to glory. John, there on the Isle of Pat... Patmos, a revelator to the church, has been the type of the church which is lifted up into glory, "Come up hither." Showing.. You say, "He represented the church?" To everyone that hears this Word, John represented him. Amen John was the representative of the Blood of Jesus Christ, testimony of the Word. He was a witness of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with a personal fellowship with Christ, and he represented the entire church; that, every man or woman, boy or girl that ever believed in Christ and accept Him on the same grounds, he'll be summoned someday, "Come up hither," and be caught up before the tribulation. Remember, the tribulation time hasn't set in yet. This is being the time of setting of the judgment. John is being showed now what's going to take place after the church age. See? So it was.

REVELATION CHAP FOUR PT 1 60-1231 178 Now, notice again in the 3rd verse, or 2nd, "A throne set in heaven, and One set on the throne." Now, the same Spirit that was in the earth, had left and had gone to glory, and was setting... The same Jesus that's with us tonight in mercy was gone to glory and setting on the throne. And He that set on the throne was to look upon as jasper and... sardine stone: and there was a rainbow around about the throne, in the sight like unto an emerald.

Now let us return to the breastplate for just a moment. We can be very sure of the corner stone of the breastplate being a sardius and as we said before, the last stone is a jasper. It is interesting too, to notice that the two center stones are blue in color and of this we can be sure. So the very center of the breastplate, or that which is the controlling factor, is the power or Word of Yahweh.

In the colors as we have them and as agreed by most commentators, it is interesting to follow the progression of color as we go down either side to the jasper stone. For the most part, you see a variation of reds (Love), merging into yellows (trial or tested), then on into blues (Trueness) and finally into that which is green (Life) and purple (Royalty) representing the glorified immortal sons of God. Either way you go on the breastplate, to the right and down, or to the left, in all cases it is surrounded by the two blue stones that are in the center (Ex. 28:17). We here have a reproduction of God in the midst of the twelve tribes of Israel during their wilderness wanderings; Christ in the midst of his twelve disciples and in the future our Lord as the completed manifestation of the Memorial Name, surrounded by cleansed, redeemed, mortal Israel, the twelve tribe nucleus of the mortal nations of the earth.

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT 58-0928M 116 Now, just before the last church age which was Pentecostal, is the lukewarm, Laodicean church age which is rejected... But remember, as Jesus was seen in the cross standing in the seven golden candlesticks, the darkest was what was the fartherest away from Him, His right hand and His left hand. And He was to look upon as Alpha and Omega, not the in-between, the--the Alpha and Omega, as He had His hand stretched. And He was jasper and sardius stone, which was Benjamin and Reuben, the first and the last. There He had His hands stretched; there He stood.

Revelation 4:2-3 and 9-11, "And immediately I was in the Spirit: and behold, a throne was set in heaven, and ONE sat on the throne. And He That sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

ISRAEL IN EGYPT 53-0325 160 And there He was standing there. What? And He was to look upon as Jasper and Sardius stone. What was Jasper? Was Reuben stone. What was Sardius? Benjamin. The first and the last, He was to look upon as the First and the Last. And--and a rainbow around His head, over the seven golden candlesticks... A rainbow, a covenant that God had made through Abraham, through Isaac, through Christ, through the church, by the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The robe of the seven colors that was upon Joseph, that was upon Jesus; it's upon the church today, protects. The body was covered up by the robe. And the church is not you; it's the Holy Ghost that's got you covered with the Blood, God's covenant, predestinated before the foundation of the world. Hallelujah. I just had to let that out. All right. It was about to burst me.

achlamah {akh-law'-maw} perhaps from 2492 (and thus dream-stone); 1) amethyst, a gem in the third row on the ephod, breastplate of judgment worn by the high priest. Transliteration of the Septuagint word. Identification is not certain but is a purple stone perhaps a corundum or red or brown jasper.

But where did the life form come from that kills and lies and shows forth a standard of judgment that is wicked and evil? Jesus Himself called these men serpent seed. But even before the serpent, we find the source of iniquity actually in Lucifer.

Let's stop here for a moment and break down the attributes of this created being. "Thou sealest up the sum"… sealest = chattham meaning to affix a seal. Brother Branham said the seal could not be placed until the item was full. Therefore he filled up the sum. SUM = tokniyth from the root word, To'-ken, which means the pattern. Next we read he was "full of wisdom" … FULL = maw-lay which means fullness…. Wisdom comes from Hebrew word chokmah hok-mah, wisdom in administration, and comes from the root word chakam hawk-ham meaning to teach wisdom. So we see he was a leader in the administration and in teaching in worship. In Marriage and Divorce 65-0221M 17-5, brother Branham said: Did you know Satan was coequal with God one day? Sure was, all but a creator; he was everything, stood at the right hand of God in the heavens, a great leading cherubim.

Seal Of The Antichrist 55-0311 E-18 The right hand man of Almighty God was Lucifer, the son of the morning. The first, God granted him almost co-workers with Him; he was a co-worker, partly equal with Him; only Satan could not create. God is the only Creator, but Satan took something that God created and perverted it back into something else, evil. And now notice, when Cain and Abel, a very beautiful picture of it... Cain and Abel was nothing more than the prefigure of Judas and Jesus.

GOD'S SERVANT JOB 55-0223 E-12 As soon as Satan... You know the old--the argument is: why couldn't God have by-passed all this, and not had any of it? But God putting Satan almost coequal with Him, Satan taking the things of God and perverted them into the evil thoughts, and through there began to pervert things into evil instead of good.

LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN 61-0903 Do you know what caused the first battle in heaven, was when Lucifer set up a greater class of people, got a better class of angels, he thought, big a bigger kingdom, a more brighter, shinier kingdom than Michael had. And he was kicked out of heaven. See where class comes from? Stay away from class.

CHRIST IS THE MYSTERY 63-0728 79-1 Notice, in this last days, Lucifer's doing the same thing. Can you see it? The devil doing the same thing, building up a hybrid church, by hybrid members, hybrid by knowledge instead of the Word, by intellectual men instead of born again men, building an intellectual kingdom that'll outshine Christ's little bitty flock. See? What is it that did that? Fallen angels. The Bible said it was fallen angels who listened to Lucifer instead of Christ, who they once belonged to? Is that right? Now, listen close. Fallen angels, what kind of angels? Luther, Wesley, Catholic, Pentecostal who kept not their first estate like the angels did and has fell into organizations like Lucifer's main hold at Nicaea... And what have they done? Organized a great ecumenical association of ministers to make an image unto the beast, as the Bible said, and building a Christian economy that'll close the doors of this church and others like it. See Lucifer at his work? I'm trying to bring you the threefold revelation or mystery of God. What did they do? sold out to reasonings of wisdom and education like Eve did, fallen angels did. Wesley was a man of God, but what followed him? Fallen angels got into it. What was the angels first? Created beings of God that fell for Lucifer's wisdom. And you see what they become? Fallen angels. And organizations from man of God who's went forth to establish truths in the earth, before that truth could go along and proclamate and get on to the real revelation of Christ, fallen angels come in and took it over and made denominations out of it.

Only One Way Provided By God 63-0731 56 Lucifer, at the beginning, wanted to build himself a kingdom which was greater and more beautiful than Michael's Kingdom, Christ. That was his ambitions to achieve something like that. And what did he get to do it by? He took fallen angels who had lost their first estate. He took that to do it with. And today Lucifer has got into the church, and taken away the Word, and injected denominations, and he's building a church, the ecumenical move that's going on now, to unite all the Protestants together, and altogether come into Catholic. And this pope they got in now, to do the same thing, exactly what the Scripture said it would do. And what's he doing it by? He's doing it by men of those great ecumenical moves, who does not know God; and the many of them in the Pentecostals, 'cause they're doing the same. What is it? He's doing it with fallen angels, fallen Lutherans, fallen Methodists, fallen Pentecostals, that lost their original estate from the Word of God, and going right back in to make a great big ecumenical move. Fallen messengers, messengers who once stayed with the Word, but sold out their birthrights and joined in with the world...

God of this Evil Age 65-0801M 79 Sin never begin in the garden of Eden; it begin in heaven when Lucifer, the son of the morning, exalted himself in beauty and wanted a more beautiful kingdom than that of Michael. And he thought that God dwelled in beauty. And notice Cain. He didn't want no blood sacrifice. He come down and offered the fruit or the fields of beauty upon his altar. Very religious, done everything just exactly like Abel done, offered a sacrifice, fell down before God in worship, obedient in every way, but without the revelation of the Word. And the Word was from the beginning, God's plan. But God revealed by revelation the very thing that He vindicated and punctuated that that was right: not religion, not an altar, not belonging to church, not making a sacrifice, not being sincere, but by the revelation of the Word of God, God revealing to him what his mother did not take a apple that a snake give her, but she had a sexual affair with the person of Satan in the form of the beast, not a reptile, but the most smartest, subtlest of all the field,…

'Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth" He was the anointed or consecrated cherub that covereth. The word is cakak means to overshadow or lay over…. "and I have set thee [so]"…God made him this way. God created him to lead in the worship with Michael, and God placed him on free moral agency knowing this would bring on his own fall, and the fall of others. If you don't believe this, then you do not believe God knew all things beforehand and ordained some to condemnation, in which case there are several scriptures you will need to rip out of your Bible.

SERPENT'S SEED 58-0928E 13-5 Which is the strongest, as I said, the Saviour or sinner? Which has got the most strength? Then the stronger had to permit the lesser. And He only does it for His glory. When He made Lucifer, He knowed he would be the devil. And He had to let it be there to show that He was the Saviour, the Christ. He had to let it happen that way.

"Thou was perfect (complete, entire, finished off) in all thy ways (course of life). "Until iniquity was found in thee" This word iniquity means un-right-wise-ness. To deviate. This one deviated from the truth, and he is the progenitor of those who do deviate from the truth. Jesus tells us how these two forms of life came to grow up side by side with one another in his parable of the wheat and tares.

MATTHEW 13:24 ¶ Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then, hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. But the question is who planted those tares? What is their source.

Jesus explains this in Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; (Jesus is called by the title Son of Man more times that any other title in the scripture. This title, Son of Man, signifies a prophet and he will come forth sowing seed. 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; Brother Branham explains this in 70-1 Ephesian Church Age Book CPT 3 The parable of the Lord Jesus Christ said that the kingdom of heaven was like unto a man who sowed good seed, only to have an enemy come and plant tares amongst those good seeds. God did not plant the tares. Satan planted those tares right amongst the good seed of God. Those two kinds of plants (people), from two different seeds, grew up together. They partook of the nourishment in the same earth, they shared in the same sun, rain, and all other benefits, and both were harvested in their turn. Do you see it? Don't ever forget these truths as we study the church ages and later the seals. And above all, don't forget that it is in this last age, when the tares are getting bound for their burning, that they will shove out the wheat that is to be garnered by the Lord.

Now, we know that in the beginning God first gave birth to His Son Jesus. He was not God the Son, but He was the Son of God. Then immediately this Son of God, Who came forth like a little light, began to be used by God in bringing forth the creation of God.

In continuing with Q & A pp. 26, brother Branham went on to say, Now, "No man has seen the Father at anytime." No man can see God in the bodily form, because God is not in body form; God is a Spirit. See? All right. "No man has seen the Father, but the only begotten of the Father hath declared Him," I John... See? Now, but notice now, there's nothing; there's just space. There's no light; there's no dark; there's no nothing; it's just seems nothing. But in there is a great supernatural Being, Jehovah God, PP. 28 Now, notice. Then after while I begin to see a little sacred Light begin to form, like a little halo or something; you could only see it by spiritual eyes to look now, while we're looking, the whole church now. We're standing on a great big banister, watching what God's doing. And we'll get right down to this question here and you'll see how He brings it in.

Now, no one has seen God. And now, the next thing we begin to see, by eyes of supernatural looking, we see a little white Light forming out there. What is that? That was called, by Bible readers, "Logos," or "the anointed," or "the anointing," or the--as I was going to say, the part of God begin to develop into something so human beings could have some type of an idea what It was: it was a little Light moving. That was the Word of God. Now, God gave Himself birth to this Son which was before there was even an atom or air to make an atom. That was... See, Jesus said, "Glorify Me, Father, with the glory that We had before the foundation of the world." See, way back in yonder...

Notice that brother Branham points out that it was a part of God which came forth in a birth process and brought forth a Son.

As Brother Branham continued in Q & A on Genesis, in pp. 32 he goes on to say, "Now, in St. John 1 He said, "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us." God unfolding Himself down to a human being, now, watch how He did it. Now, back there, then, when this little halo comes... Now, we can't see nothing yet, but just by eyes of just supernatural we see a halo standing there. Now, that's the Son of God, the Logos, Now, I can see Him playing around like a little child before the Father's door, with all eternity. See? And now, then in His imaginary make-up He begin to think of what things would be, and I can hear Him say, "Let there be light." And when He did, an atom burst and the sun came into existence.

The Son of God was the first Born of God, but the first creation were the angels.

Five identifications 60-0911E 177 The first thing He created was angels to worship Him, then He become God.

Identified Christ of all Ages 64-0409 E-25 "In the beginning was the Word." Before It was even expressed, It was a thought, attribute. In this thinking He was to be God. Probably created angels first, then He was worshipped, He was God.

Now, I believe the first thing created was Lucifer, because he was called son of the morning, and we know the morning or morning star is The Son of God.

Influence 64-0315 E-37 Note the heavenly Seraphims with coverings over their faces. Now, the Seraphims is the burners of the sacrifice, which is one of the highest orders of angels. They're next to the cherubims. There is angels, and then Seraphims, and then cherubims. And Seraphims is actually the burner of the sacrifice, making the way for the sinners' approach, a real high order of holiness in the temple of God.

Rev. Chptr. 4 PT 3Throne Mercy 61-0108 298 Cain and Abel come up here to worship. So it must've been an altar that they guard (Is that right?), these Cherubims.

REV Ch 4 Pt 3 Throne of Mercy 61-0108 301 Moses was taken up into heaven: Moses, taken from the earth up into heaven and saw the altar of God. Is that right? I'm trying to prove my point here. You know what I'm trying to do, don't you? All right. He went up in the Presence of God. And when he descended from the Presence of God, he said... God told Moses, "Make everything on earth as patterned after heaven." Is that right? All right. Now, then when he did, when he made the ark of the covenant, he put two Cherubims to guard the ark. See what it is? It was the temple... It was the altar, the throne guards. The two Cherubims, He said, "Mold them out of brass and put their wings a touching like this," because that's exactly what he saw in heaven. That's exactly what John saw in heaven, these four Cherubims on the four sides of the ark of the throne in heaven. They were the guards of the ark. Cherubims, guards at the mercy seat. If you want to read that Scripture (We ain't got time to go to it.), put down Exodus 25:10 to 22. Now, they guard the mercy seat when God is in His Shekinah Glory. Where was the Shekinah Glory? At the mercy seat. Is that right? They guard that Shekinah Glory. Um. Whew.

Now, to this point I believe we can establish that Lucifer was a co-partner leading in the worship of God. He taught, therefore he was a teacher. He knows the Word of God, but where he went off was by adding his own thoughts to what God said. He was perfect in all his ways until iniquity was found in him. He perverted the Word. He twisted it for his own self interest. He was not satisfied with being a good steward of the Word of God. He wanted a bigger kingdom than Michael (Christ) had.

Notice, Paul calls him an angel of Light in II CORINTHIANS 11:13 For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

And when Satan came to Jesus, what did he come with? The Word of God, only twisted. He came to Eve in the Garden as a indwelling spirit in the serpent and what did he come to Eve with? The Word of God, only twisted. He is always that way. It is His nature.

LUKE 10:17 ¶ And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

So we see that the first Light that come forth was the Son of God and then we find the cherubims were created to guard the altar of God. And Lucifer was the leading, anointed Cherub. He was anointed for a ministry of the word and he blew it by adding his own thoughts.

EZEKIEL 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: Notice it was his brightness that corrupted his wisdom. This word brightness is the Hebrew word, yiph'ah {yif-aw'} meaning; splendor, brightness, shining and comes from the root word yapha which is the same word which describes the Shekinah Presence.

DEUTERONOMY 33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand [went] a fiery law for them.

JOB 37:15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

PSALMS 50:2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

PSALMS 80:1 ¶ To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest [between] the cherubims, shine forth.

So we see that Lucifer shown forth as a light. And since the Son of God was that first light, we can see how that Lucifer, who also was a light, and was made to fill the pattern, was the same in every detail except without Eternal Life or God life, for he was a created being, and being that he had a beginning he will surely have an end.

And so we see the great falling away begin in Heaven when Lucifer, now referred to as Satan, was cast out along with 1/3 of the host of heaven who followed his wrong teaching. Then he came down to earth to continue the war against the sons of God.

Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

We find him in the earth back in the garden of Eden as one of the two trees which God placed but did not plant in the garden. 85-2 Ephesian Church Age - CA Book Ch 3 There are those twins again. There are those two trees again, growing side by side in the same earth, partaking of the same nourishment, drinking in the same rain, and benefiting by the same sun. But they come from DIFFERENT seeds. One tree is FOR the Word of God, exactly as God gave it, and loves and obeys it. The other tree is from the seed that is anti the Word of God and changes it where it wants to. It substitutes its own creeds and dogmas for the living true Word exactly as did Cain, who ended up killing Abel. But fear not little flock. Stay with the Word. Keep that Word between you and the devil. Eve did not do that and she failed. And when the church lets down on the Word she goes into the depths of the darkness of Satan.

52 Anointed Ones 65-0725M These trees--the true vine and false vine... You've heard me preach on that from years ago, how they grew up together. Brought them in individuals and showed that from Cain and Abel, the two vines that met at an altar, both of them religious, both of them anointed, both of them desiring life and worshipping the same God, and one was rejected and the other received. And the only way that the one that was received could've done anything different from his brother, it was revealed to him, for the Bible said, "By faith (Hebrews 11th chapter)--by faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than that of Cain, which God testified that he was righteous." Jesus said (the spiritual revelation of Who He was), "Who does man say I, the Son of man am?" Peter said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." "Blessed art thou, Simon son of Jonas; flesh and blood never revealed this to you; My Father which is in heaven has revealed it. Upon this rock I'll build My church." What? The true revelation of the Word. There's the True Vine again. "Abel, by faith..."

CAB 97-4 Trees throughout the Scriptures refer to persons, as in Psalms 1. Thus the Tree Of Life must be the Person of Life, and that is Jesus. 97-5 Now in the Garden of Eden there were two trees standing in the midst of it. One was the Tree Of Life, the other was the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Man was to live by the Tree Of Life; but he was not to touch the other tree or he would die. But man did partake of the other tree, and when he did, death entered into him by his sin, and he became separated from God.

98-2 Some have an idea that the two trees in the garden were just two more trees like unto the rest of those that God had placed there. But careful students know that this is not so. When John the Baptist cried that the axe was laid to the root of all trees, he was not talking of simply natural trees, but of spiritual principles. Now in I John 5:11 it says, "And this is the RECORD, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son." Jesus said in John 5:40, "And ye will not come to Me, that ye might have life." Thus the record, God's Word, states plainly and clearly that LIFE, ETERNAL LIFE, is in the Son. It is no other place. I John 5:12, "He that hath the Son hath LIFE; and he that hath not the Son of God hath NOT Life." Now since the record cannot change, be taken from or added thereunto, then the record stands that THE LIFE IS IN THE SON... Since this is so, THE TREE IN THE GARDEN HAS TO BE JESUS.

98-3 All right. If the Tree Of Life is a person, then the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is a person ALSO. It can't be otherwise. Thus the Righteous One and the Wicked One stood side by side in the midst of the Garden of Eden. Ezekiel 28:13a "Thou (Satan) hast been in Eden, the garden of God." 98-4 Here is where we receive the true revelation of the 'Serpent's seed.' Here is what really happened in the Garden of Eden. The Word says that Eve was beguiled by the serpent. She was actually seduced by the serpent. It says in Genesis 3:1, "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made." This beast was so close to a human being (and yet was pure animal) that he could reason and talk. He was an upright creature and the result of the curse took away his arms and legs, casting him upon his belly forever. He was so close to being human that his seed could, and did mingle with that of the woman and cause her to conceive. 99-1 Notice what God said to them in the garden. Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed," If we give credit to the Word that the woman did have a Seed, then the serpent must have surely had a seed also. If the Seed of the woman was a man-child, then the seed of the serpent will have to be in the same pattern, and that is another male must be born apart from human male instrumentality. 99-2 As the Seed of the woman was literally God reproducing Himself in human flesh, so the seed of the serpent is the literal way that Satan found he was able to open the door to himself into the human race. It was impossible for Satan (for he is only a CREATED spirit-being) to reproduce himself in the manner which God reproduced Himself, so the Genesis account tells how he produced his seed and introduced or injected himself into the human race. Also recall that Satan is called the 'serpent.' It is his seed or injection into the human race we are speaking of. 

100-1 Before Adam ever had carnal knowledge of Eve, the serpent had that knowledge ahead of him. And that one born of it was Cain. Cain was of (born of, begotten of) that "Wicked One". I John 3:12. The Holy Spirit in John could not in one place call Adam the "Wicked One" (for that is what he would be if he fathered Cain) and in another place call Adam the "Son of God" which he was by creation. Luke 3:38. Cain turned out in character like his father, a bringer of death, a murderer. His utter defiance of God when faced by the Almighty in Genesis 4:5,9,13,14, show him to be absolutely a total opposite to adam's sons abel and seth who were humble, reverent and obedient unto God. Notice the lack of reverence he had. "But unto Cain and to his offering He had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? 100-2 Notice the exact way the record of God sets forth the account of the births of Cain, Abel and Seth. Genesis 4:1, "And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel." Genesis 4:25, "And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth..." There are THREE sons born from TWO acts of carnal knowledge by Adam. Since the Bible is the exact and perfect Word of God, this is no mistake but a record for our illumination. Since THREE sons were born from TWO acts by Adam, you know POSITIVELY that ONE of those three WAS NOT the son of Adam. God has recorded this in this exact manner to show us something. The truth of the matter is that Eve had in her womb TWO sons (twins) from SEPARATE impregnations. She was carrying twins, with Cain's conception sometime previous to that of Abel's. See those TWINS again. Perfect type as always. To those who think that this is not possible, let it be known that the medical records are replete with cases where women have carried twins who were of separate ova and separate insemination with the fertilization of the eggs being days apart, and NOT ONLY SO, but some of the records show that the twins were fathered by separate males. 101-1 Why was it that the seed of the serpent must come this way? Man was created for God. Man was to be the temple of God. The place of God's rest (the Holy Spirit) was man, the temple. Acts 7:46-51, Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool: what house will ye build Me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of My rest? " Satan wants to in-dwell man even as God so does. But God has reserved to Himself that right. Satan cannot do that. God alone appeared in human flesh. Satan could not and cannot do that. He does not have creative powers. The only way for Satan to accomplish what he wanted to do was to enter the serpent in Eden even as he entered by evil spirits into the swine at Gadara. God does not enter animals; but Satan can and will to accomplish his ends. He could not have a child directly by Eve as did God by Mary, so he entered into the serpent and then beguiled Eve. He seduced her and by her did Satan have a child vicariously. Cain bore the full spiritual characteristics of Satan and the animalistic (sensual, fleshly) characteristic of the serpent. No wonder the Holy Spirit said that Cain was of that wicked one. He was.

102-2 Now that we have come this far, let me try to crystallize your thinking on this subject so you can see the necessity of our going into the 'serpent seed doctrine' as I have. We start with the fact that there were TWO trees in the midst of the garden. The Tree of Life was Jesus. The other tree is definitely Satan because of what came forth of the fruit of that tree. Now then, we know that both of those trees had a relationship to man or they would never have been placed there. They must have had a part in the sovereign plan and purpose of God in their relationship to mankind and to Himself or we could never impute omniscience unto God. This is all true so far, is it not? Now the Word most definitely sets forth that from BEFORE the foundation of the earth the purpose of God was to share His Eternal Life with man. Ephesians 1:4-11, "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved. In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him: In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will." Revelation 13:8, "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (Satan) whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." But that Life could not, and would not, be shared in any other way than through the way of "God manifest in the flesh." This was a part of His eternal and predestinated purpose. This plan was to be to the praise of the glory of His grace. It was the plan of Redemption. It was the plan of Salvation. Now listen closely. "God being a Saviour, it was necessary that He predestinate a man who would require salvation in order to give Himself reason and purpose of being." That is one hundred percent correct and multitudes of Scripture bear it out as does the very pointed verse of Romans 11:36, "For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are ALL THINGS: to Whom be GLORY for ever." Man could not directly come and partake of that Tree of Life in the midst of the garden. That Eternal Life of the Tree had to become flesh first. But before God could raise and save a sinner, He had to have a sinner to raise and save. Man had to fall. The fall which would be caused by Satan, had to have flesh to make fall. Satan had to come through flesh also. But Satan could not come through human flesh to make the fall as would Christ come in human flesh to restore the fallen.

But there was an animal, the serpent, so close to man that Satan could get to that beast and through that beast he could get to human flesh and cause the fall, and inject himself thereby into the human race, even as Jesus would one day come and inject Himself into the human race, into human bodies, even to the extent of a resurrection wherein we would have bodies like unto His glorified one. Thus what God worked out here in the garden was His predestinated plan. And when Satan had brought about that which was necessary to the purpose of God, then man could not get to the Tree Of Life in the garden. Certainly not. It wasn't time. But an animal (animal had caused the fall had it not? let animal life be shed) was taken and his blood shed and then God had communion with man again. Then there was to come a day when God would appear in flesh, and by means of His humiliation He would restore fallen man and make him a partaker of that Life Eternal. Once you see this, you can understand the serpent seed and know that it was no apple Eve ate. No, it was the degradation of humanity by intermingling the seed. 104-2 And so those two sons were born. Sons that would be the fathers of the human race that was even now polluted. And what does the record say of them? Read the record. Jude 14, "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied..." Genesis 5 is the chapter of genealogy of Enoch. It gives that genealogy thusly, 1. Adam, 2. Seth, 3. Enos, 4. Cainan, 5. Mahalaleel, 6. Jared, 7. Enoch. Notice that Cain is not mentioned. The line of Adam goes through Seth. If Cain were the child of Adam, the law of the birthright would have given Cain the right in the lineage. Also it must be noted carefully that in Genesis 5:3, it says that, "Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth." Nowhere does it say that Cain was in Adam's likeness, yet he would have to be if he were his son, for the law of reproduction is emphatically that each brings forth after its likeness. We must also credit the fact that in both genealogies in Genesis and Luke, Cain is missing. If Cain were the son of Adam it would be said of him somewhere that, "Cain, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God." It does not say that for it CANNOT say that. 105-1 Of course students for a long time have set forth two lines of men: one of which was the godly line found in Seth and the other the ungodly line as founded by Cain. And it is strange, but true, these same students have never told us how it was that Cain was the kind of person he was while Abel and Seth were of the spiritual, godly line. Factually, Cain should have been spiritual and Abel less spiritual, and Seth even more so, and right on down the line because each succeeding generation has always gotten further away from God. But no, Cain comes forth as wicked as no man ever has been described for he violently withstands God and the Word. 105-2 Now let this be known: Scripture does not play with words. Whatever is in the Record is there for the anointed eyes to see. It is there for a purpose. In that Word it says, Genesis 3:20, "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living." But no Scripture ever says that Adam is the father of all living. If there is not this connotation to be placed upon Genesis 3:20, why would it be mentioned that Eve is the mother of all, and no word said about Adam? The fact is that though Eve was the mother of all living, Adam was not the father of all living. 105-3 In Genesis 4:1, Eve said, "I have gotten a man from the Lord." She does not credit Adam with the fatherhood of Cain. But in Genesis 4:25, she says, "... For God, said she, hath appointed me ANOTHER seed, INSTEAD OF ABEL, whom Cain slew." She does not say God had GIVEN her another seed--that would have been Christ, for He is GIVEN. This son, Seth, was APPOINTED instead of Abel. She recognizes her son that came by Adam; she does not now recognize Cain for he came by the serpent. When she says ANOTHER SEED instead of Abel, she is saying that Cain was different from Abel, for if they were of the same father she would have had to say, "I have been given some MORE SEED." 

Now, in looking at these two trees, we see each has an Identifiable characteristic all it's own. 107-1 The Tree of Knowledge produced death. Cain killed his brother, Abel. The wicked killed the righteous. It set a pattern. It will keep that pattern until the restoration of all things as spoken by the prophets. 107-2 The Tree of Knowledge produced clever men; men of renown. But their ways are the ways of death. God's people are simple but spiritual minded, leaning toward God and nature, calmly tilling the soil, caring for truth rather than wealth. The seed of the serpent has brought tremendous commerce, wonderful inventions, but with it all comes death. Their gunpowder and atomic bombs kill in war; and in peace time their mechanical inventions, such as the car, kill even more in a time of peace than do the inventions of war destroy in times of trouble. Death and destruction are the fruits of her labors. 107-3 But they are religious. They believe in God. They are like their father, the devil, and their ancestor, Cain. Both of them believed in God. They go to church. They mingle with the righteous as do tares mingle with the wheat. In so doing they corrupt and produce a Nicolaitane religion. They spread their poison in every effort to destroy the seed of God even as Cain killed Abel. There is no fear of God before their eyes. 107-4 But God loses none of His own. He keeps them even in death, and has promised that in the last day He will raise them up.

359-1 LAODICEAN CHURCH AGE - CAB Now we can see why there were two vines, one true and one false. Now we can see why Abraham had two sons, one after the flesh (that persecuted Isaac) and one after promise. Now we can see how that out of the same parents two boys came forth as twins, one knowing and loving the things of God, and the other knowing much of the same truth, but not of the same Spirit, and hence persecuted the child that was elect. God did not reprobate for the sake of reprobation. He reprobated for the sake of the elect. ELECT CANNOT persecute elect. ELECT CANNOT harm elect. It is the reprobates that persecute and destroy the elect. Oh, those reprobates are religious. They are smart. They are of the Cain line, the serpent seed. They build their Babels, they build their cities, they build their empires, and all the while calling on God. They hate the true seed, and they will do all they can, (even in the Name of the Lord) to destroy God's elect ones. But they are needed. "What is the chaff to the wheat?" No chaff, no wheat. But at the end, what happens to the chaff? It is burned with fire unquenchable. And the wheat? It is gathered in His garner. It is where He is. In His Presence. 359-2 Oh elect of God, beware. Study closely. Be careful. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Rely upon God and be strong in His might. Your adversary, the devil, is even now going about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Watch unto prayer and be steadfast. This is the end time. Both the true and false vine are coming into maturity, but before the wheat matures, those ripened tares must be bound for the burning. Watch how they move toward organization? That is the binding. Soon the garnering of the wheat will come. But right now the two spirits are at work in two vines. Come out from among the tares. Start to overcome that you may be considered praiseworthy for your Lord, and fit to reign and rule with Him.
