ONENESS # 3

       Oneness Through Vindication

                                     AUGUST 9, 1992

                                      Brian Kocourek

For  the  past two Sunday's we have  examined  brother  Branham's
opening statements into this message entitled ONENESS.

We have read thus far from PP. # 3 - 13. We have focussed on  two
thoughts  so far in our study. # 1) Is this:  ONENESS has  to  do
with communion.

Webster's says of COMMUNION: it is the act of sharing, the act of
sharing  one's  thoughts or emotions with  another.  An  intimate
relationship with deep understanding.

And Brother Branham defined Communion as "To Communicate, or talk
back to". In other words a two way relationship of sharing.

Now  communication  is essential in order for any message  to  go
forth  and be understood. It is one thing for the  person  giving
the  message to know what he is trying to convey, but if the  one
being spoken to does not understand what is being said, then what
good  will  the  message do. What will it produce?  What  can  it
produce?  Then  for  God to send a message to a  people  who  are
unable to hear and understand would be in vain. And God does  not
do  anything in vain. So therefore He must fashion a people,  His
Seed so that they have it within them to be able to understand.

Now that does not mean that every one who hears' will  understand
and believe. On the contrary, we find in the scripture that  many
are  actually  ordained  not to hear  and  understand.  In  fact,
scripture  plainly let's you know that only an elect  people  are
going  to understand because only an elect or chosen few will  be
made  in such a way as to be able to understand. We see  this  in
Jesus dispute with the Pharisees.

JOHN.8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? [even] because

ye cannot hear my  word.

Now,  the question is, why couldn't they hear what He was  trying
to tell them? We find the answer in various places in scripture.

LUKE.8:10 "And  he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries

of  the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might
not see, and hearing they might not understand."

Jesus  is actually saying that the Word of God is sent  forth  or
declared  in such a way as to be received only by a certain  type
of person.

Notice in this scripture it says, to you it is "GIVEN". Now  this
word "GIVEN" is a Greek word "DID-OMI": which means to bestow  or
to  yield. We see it used of the nature of the seed in  that  the
seed is to yield it's fruit. WEBSTERS: YIELD: to give or  furnish
as  a  natural process. Brother Branham said a  lamb  just  bears
wool. it doesn't come by a big effort. We see it used as thus in

the following scriptures.

MARK.4:8 "And other fell on good ground, and did "YIELD" fruit

that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and

some sixty, and some an hundred."

Now notice, He speaks of the Word of God as being a seed that  is
sown  into  the ground and the field where it  landed  represents
different  types of people. The soil that was cultivated  YIELDED
fruit. In other words, when the Word came in contact with it, this
particular field or type of person could not help but to  produce
fruit.  It YIELDED forth fruit. Now remember, GENESIS  1:11  says
that every seed must bring forth of it's kind.

So we see that the same Greek word for GIVEN is the same one used
here  for  YIELDED. Let's continue and see how  Jesus  uses  this
Word

MARK.4:9 – 11 "And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear,

let him  hear. 10  And  when  he was alone, they that were about  him

with  the twelve  asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them,

Unto you  it is GIVEN to know the mystery of the kingdom of  God:

but unto  them  that  are without, all [these]  things  are  done  in
parables:"

Why? Why? Why are some GIVEN to know and others not?

MARK 4:12  "That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing

they may hear,  and  not  understand;  lest at any  time  they  should  be
converted, and [their] sins should be forgiven them."

Now  this is an interesting scripture as it let's you know  quite
candidly  that the Gospel Message is not for every one. God  does
not want certain people to hear and understand because it says if
they did, they would be converted, which means they would  return
back to what they were in the beginning. But if they were not  in
Him in the beginning, how then could they convert back. How could
they return back. They can't. There-fore He hides the meaning  of
the Gospel in obscure ways which keeps it from those who are  not
meant or made to receive it.

MATT 13:10 – 16 "And  the  disciples came, and said unto him, Why

speakest  thou unto them in parables? "

What  were  they asking Him? They would hear Jesus speak  to  the
people  in parables but more plainly to each of them.  Then  they
asked  Jesus, why do you do that? Why don't you speak plainly  to
them?

MATT 13:11  "He answered and said unto them, Because it is given

unto you  to know  the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them

it  is not given."

Why?  Why is it given to one group and not to the  other.  Notice
His  answer. It sounds a lot like what we saw earlier  about  the

seed and how it must yield forth of itself it's fruit.

MATT 13:12  For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall

have more abundance:  but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken

away even that he hath."

Remember  from  earlier teaching, that word "HATH" is  the  Greek
word ECHO. So whosoever has within his nature the ability to echo
or  reflect back my Word, to him shall more be given: To him,  he
shall yield more.

MATT 13:13 Therefore  speak I to them in  parables: because they

seeing  see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

(14) And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith,  By
hearing  ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and  seeing  ye
shall  see, and shall not perceive: (15) For this people's  heart
is  waxed gross, and [their] ears are dull of hearing, and  their
eyes they have closed; (who did the closing of the eyes?) lest at
any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their]
ears,  and  should understand with [their] heart, and  should  be
converted,  and I should heal them. (16) But blessed  [are]  your
eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

So we can see quite readily that point number two had to be  what
brother Branham read as his text, and that is HEB 1: 1-3, and  in
Genesis  1:  26 -27. Both of these scriptures refers  to  a  seed
bringing forth after it's kind in a certain way of reflecting the
character and nature of the original which is God. They both deal
with  God's offspring. Jesus as His only begotten Son, and we  as
sons.

So,  in  review,  we see that these two  points  both  deal  with
certain aspects that are requirements to having ONENESS with God.

The  first point he makes deals with the communion aspect of  two
people sharing in common a message. Both are in the same mind set
in  order  to commune or communicate. The second  point  he  made
dealt  specifically  with seed. You can have the  same  mind  and
judgment because you have the same nature as the Father.

Now  let's  pick up again where we left off and read  again  from
PP.  12 - 13.

12 ONENESS 62-0211 The word oneness   --means "to be one with."

Oneness, "united," And, now, this is quite a subject, and it--it deserves

a lot more attention  than  I  am able to give it, and more  than  most

any person  on earth could be able to give. But I would like  to  ex
press  to you my opinion of it, and, with what God will give  us.
"Now,  in this, it's teaching doctrine. And to the  brethren  who
may  hear this tape, I trust that it will not be an offense,  but
it  will  be to cause you to take this very  considerably,  under
consideration,  rather.  That  you would  study  it  prayerfully,
carefully, and weigh it out in the balance of God's Word, to  see
whether it be of God or not.

13 ONENESS  62-0211 "For  I believe that that's the way we should do

always,  weigh things  with  the Word, because the Word is the only

Thing  that will  be able to remain. Jesus said, "Both heaven and earth

will pass away, but My Word shall not pass away." That's why I believe
It, and to believe It to be God's program. I believe that is  the
finished  work of God wrote out in Word. Therefore, that if  any
thing  would  be contrary to that Word, it could not  be  God  or
God's plan. I believe It is the program."

Now  ,  He is telling you that Live or die, sink or swim,  it  is
either  this word or nothing. Right?  He say's anything  contrary
to this Word is not God's plan. Right?

ROMANS.4:16 Therefore  [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace;

to  the end  the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that  only

which  is of the law, but to that also which is of the  faith  of
Abraham; who is the father of us all,

EPHESIANS.2:8 For  by  grace  are  ye saved through  faith;  and  that

not  of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

II CORINTHIANS.5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

So  get your eyes on Christ. Don't look for the Word  plus.  It's
the Word of God period.

GALATIANS.1:6

I  marvel  that ye are so soon removed from him that  called  you
into  the grace of Christ unto another gospel: <7> Which  is  not
another;  but there be some that trouble you, and  would  pervert
the gospel of Christ. <8> But though we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached
unto  you, let him be accursed. <9> As we said before, so  say  I
now  again,  If any [man] preach any other gospel unto  you  than
that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Brother, That's not me. That's thus saith the Lord. Don't look to
anything or for anything outside this word or your lost.

155 ASHAMED OF HIM 65-0711

" And remember, you might meet a spirit that would act like God.
You  might  meet  a spirit, would do this, that,  or  the  other;
follow  it a little bit and see how it compares with the Word  of
God.  You might meet a spirit that would tell you are saved,  and
give you a glorious feeling, and you would shout and scream; then
when it comes to denying the Word, how can the Holy Spirit,  that
wrote   the   Word,  deny  His  Own  Word?   That   Spirit   must
punctuate every promise of God with an "amen"! If it isn't,  then
you  never met God, you met a deceiving spirit. And the world  is
full of it today!

GALATIANS.1:10 – 12 For  do I now persuade men, or God? or do

I seek to  please  men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the

servant of  Christ. But  I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which

was  preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man,

neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Now brother Branham continues in PP. 13...

" Now, the Spirit of God in the Word makes the Word live  Itself,
act Itself out. It brings the Word to life, like a seed."

What  is he trying to tell us? If you've been quickened  by  this
Word  to the day and hour and God's visitation, your  sealed  in.
You  become the Word for the Hour. You become the  expression  of
His Word.

Now how many believe God has manifested Himself and has come down
with  a  shout  in this hour? Well if a shout or  a  message  was
brought, that is the Word made Manifest right? Now do you believe
that  God sent down His Holy Spirit in vain? If He spoke  a  Mes
sage,  then there has to be a people to receive it,  Right?  Then
His  speaking it is only one half of the ONENESS. Your  receiving
His Word, and it living Itself out in you is the other half.

Now that is your token. And that is what ONENESS is all about.  I
believe in this Message ONENESS, you are going to understand what
the TOKEN is all about.

152 THE TOKEN 63-1128.2E   God's  everlasting,  Eternal Token,

It's Eternal  Life  by  the Eternal  God. And anything that had a

beginning has an  end,  and everything had a beginning besides God.

And God is the only  form of Eternal Life there is. And when God places

His Holy Spirit  in you, which is God, and when God places Himself

within you, you're as Eternal as God is. Because, you're a part of Him,

because  you become  a  son or a daughter of God and you  are  displaying

His Word.  Hallelujah! I feel religious. That's true. God  identifies
it, Himself. You've got Eternal Life, and that's God in you.  And
this  Word is God. And that Word lives and produces Itself.  Just
exactly  what God has ordained for this age, you have  it,  amen,
the  Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit being displayed. Yes, sir.  What
is it? The Holy Spirit, the Word has been quickened to you by the
Holy  Spirit,  to vindicate this age, that you have  passed  from
death unto Life.

You see, it is the same thing. ONENESS with God!

PP. 23 DESPERATION 63-0901.2E  "The  Token,  Jesus Christ,

the Holy Spirit, is  among  us.  We should reverence that. We can't

humble ourselves  enough. Taking off your shoes or getting on your

knees wouldn't expel it, it would--it wouldn't satisfy, it wouldn't suffice

us, but a life that brings forth the fruit of the Spirit...

So if Jesus Christ is the TOKEN, then our receiving and manifesting

His Life is a token.

COLOSSIANS.3:4 When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear,

then shall ye  also appear with him in glory.

PP. 23 DESPERATION  63-0901.2E  "The  Token,  Jesus Christ,

the Holy Spirit, is  among  us.  We should reverence that. We can't

humble ourselves  enough. Taking off your shoes or getting on your

knees wouldn't expel it, it wouldn't satisfy, it wouldn't suffice us,

but a life that brings forth the fruit of the Spirit...

Then what will suffice it? a life that will bring forth the fruit of the Spirit.

What? A life that will YIELD it's fruit. "I am the vine  ye are the branches."

He wants to yield His  fruit  through us.  What else does a Husband want

a wife for. He wants  to  bear his  fruit through her. The fruit of her womb. Reproduce  Himself in us.

96 THE TOKEN 64-0308  You  see, that's borderline believers. They come

through  these different  elements, and through church, and joining church,

and baptisms  and forms. But when it comes right up to crossing  over
to  get  the  Token, the evidence that the Land  is  there,  that Life...  Jesus

Christ is not dead. It's  another  dimension.  He lives  in  us. He is with us,

He is now in us. When it  comes  to that,  "ah," they couldn't believe that.

That was too  much,  you see. And they come back, and they, every one,

died in the wilderness, not one of them went over. And, see, if we disbelieve,

So you see, it must be by faith and faith only in this Vindicated
Word of God.

The Token, Christ among us quickens you to the predestinated Life
that's  already in you but has been laying dormant. The Light  of
His glorious presence quickens you to the Word and the Life of the
Father  that  is in us by Election begins to come  forth  in  the
Image of the Father.

AN ABSOLUTE 63-0127  "And  if you've got the baptism of the

Holy Ghost, it can  only point  to Christ, and Christ is the Word.

That's the way to  find your  way  back,  see. You can't look up here

and  say  "This  is shining. This star shines here." And after awhile

it's  somewhere else,  see.  You've got to get somewhere  where  it's

absolutely established."

And heaven and earth will pass away but not one jot or tittle  of
His Word will fail.

Now in looking at this ONENESS brother Branham is trying to  tell
us about, this oneness with God he says, " Now, the Spirit of God
in the Word makes the Word live Itself, act Itself out. It brings
the Word to life, like a seed."

What  brings the Word to Life? The Spirit of the Living  God.  He
said,  " "The Token, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, is among  us.
We should reverence that." So ONENESS with God is the Token.  And
what  essential element must you have to receive His  Token?  You
must be His seed and be quickened to His Presence and what He  is
doing.

What quickened Paul on the road to Damascus. The same one that is
here  this morning, in the form of the Pillar of Fire.  The  Holy
Spirit  who  said, He would lead us into  the  Millennium."  He's
here, and you must see that or your lost.

142 THE RAPTURE  65-1204 When  you  see God come from the

Heaven, stand before  groups  of man, and stand there, declare

Himself just as He ever did...  And that's the Truth, and this Bible

open. See? We're here!

    174 DOING GOD A SERVICE 65-0718.1M

And today He's standing among us in the Person of the Holy Ghost,
manifesting Hisself more and more, coming into His Church, making
Hisself known; because Him and the Bride, and the Groom, will  be
the  Same, making Hisself known. And one day you'll see that  the
One  that  you feeled in your heart and see  His  identification,
will  become  personalized before you. Then you and He  are  One.
You've united by the Word, and the Word was in the beginning will
go back to the beginning which is God. "And that day you'll  know
that  I'm in the Father, the Father in Me, I in you, and  you  in
Me."  Hallelujah! We're here! Hallelujah! I'm so glad to see  Him
personifying Himself right among us and see what He promised  for
the Word, not what somebody's emotions, singing, and jumping, and
dancing, but by His Word (amen!) He's making Himself known.

    PP. 54 I PERCEIVE YOU ARE A PROPHET 53-0614

Now,  do you believe that the same God was with our Lord  Jesus
Christ, is here with His people tonight, manifesting Himself?  Do
you  firmly  believe that with all your heart? ["Yes."]  Then  my
sister,  I  bless  thee. In the Name of Jesus  Christ,  may  this
condition  of  yours leave and may all your troubles at  home  be
straightened up and made right; in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.

Go now, believing and you shall receive what you ask for.

Now back to our message ONENESS. And let's pick up at PP. 14

14 ONENESS 62-0211  Now, the first man and first woman in the

Garden of Eden was in perfect harmony with God, so much that God

could come down at any time He desired and talk lip-to-ear with Adam

and Eve. Now,  that is perfect oneness, God and His creation, God

speaking lip-to-ear with  Adam and Eve. And they were so perfect in

harmony with  God till they were one with God. God and His family

was one.

Now what is perfect oneness? God coming down and speaking to  you
lip to ear. Right? And what did brother Branham say about how God
is to appear and manifest Himself to you in this hour?

Through  a  body like he did to Abraham. God Immanuel,  robed  in
flesh. Now, not the nailed scarred flesh of His son but as SON of
Man, a prophet.

E-20 JESUS CHRIST THE SAME 62-0718

Now, how would we know Him if we saw Him? Now, if we were going
to  say, "Well now, how would He part His hair? Did He have  long
curls  down His shoulders? Did He have red hair? Was  it  blonde?
Did He have hair at all? Was--Was He bald-headed? Was He--Was  He
a  blue-eyed,  brown-eyed? Was He a large man, small  man?"  Why,
we'd  just discuss that all hours, and each one have a  different
opinion. So we couldn't meet on them basis.   Well then, what  if
I'd  say we go out here in the city tonight, and we'd find a  man
that we could actually find nail scars in his hands, both  hands,
and  thorn prints around here, and a scar in his side just  under
his  heart.  And he would be wearing a robe,  and--and  meet  our
specifications, still that could be.   Really, if we'd picked  up
such a person, it wouldn't be Jesus. At His second coming,  every
knee  shall bow and every tongue shall confess. And when  He--His
corporal  body  returns  to the earth, It will be  like  the  sun
shining  from  the East to the West. You believe that?  Sure.  It
wouldn't be.

E-21 JESUS CHRIST THE SAME 62-0718

How  would  we know Jesus then? The way I think that  we  would
know Him would be by His nature, what He was.

THE END TIME EVANGELISM 6-3-62

"  Now, we have already seen and are witnessing the APPEARING  of
the  Lord. Now, remember, APPEARING and Coming are two  different
words,  to  APPEAR and then to Come. Now is the  APPEARING,  He's
already  APPEARED in these last days. Right here with us  in  the
last few years. Now, it's a sign of His Coming. He's APPEARING in
His  church,  in the form of the Holy Spirit, showing  that  it's
Him,  'cause people cannot do these things that you see the  Holy
Spirit doing, so that's the APPEARING of the lord. Now  remember,
it spoke both places, "APPEARING" and "Coming"."

JOHN.14:20

At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me,
and I in you.

 At what day? This day!

JOHN.14:21

He  that  hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it  is  that
loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and
I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Now how will He come and manifest Himself to us?

.SCRIPTURAL SIGNS OF THE TIME 64-0410

"You  said  it  would  be here when the  Son  Of  man  revealed

Himself, because it has to be the Word. Because `In the beginning

was  the  Word,  and  the Word was with God,  and  the  Word  was

God... The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.` And the  Word

discerns the thoughts."

.SIRS WE WOULD SEE JESUS  64-0318

There...  Watch the messenger out yonder, preaching  repenting,

and then blinding their eyes by the gospel. And there was one  to

the called-out, elected church that was showing the sign that God

was  in  flesh. Jesus was God in flesh. And if Jesus is  in  you,

tonight, it's still God manifesting Himself in the last days--the

Son  of  man revealing Himself in his church,  the  human  flesh,

making  Himself  known.  You get it? See? God down  here  in  his

church,  making  Himself  again the word, the Son  of  man  being

revealed in the last days as it was in the days of Sodom.

JOHN.14:22 Judas  saith  unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it  that

thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

Now,  how will he manifest Himself to us. As the Son Of Man!  The
Word made flesh, first in His Prophet and now in His Royal  Seed.
How else. This is the hour for it.

 73 HEBREWS CHAPTER 3 57-0901.1M

"I thought He was a--a man, has scarred hands; that they  claim
is  appearing in meetings now, with nail scars in his  hands  and
his head." No, no; not that body, not in that body. See?

He's  now a Light. Saul... When He was here on earth, He  said,
"I come from God. I go back to God."

So how will we know if it is Him?

E-21 JESUS CHRIST THE SAME 62-0718

How  would  we know Jesus then? The way I think that  we  would
know Him would be by His nature, what He was.

JOHN.14:23

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will  keep
my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him.

JOHN.14:24

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word  which
ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

Notice, it must be His Word. It all comes back to His Word.  Why?
Because  that's His nature. He is the Word. In the beginning  was
the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

PP. 14 ONENESS 62-0211

Now, the first man and first woman in the Garden of Eden was in
perfect harmony with God, so much that God could come down at any
time He desired and talk lip-to-ear with Adam and Eve. Now,  that
is perfect oneness, God and His creation, God speaking lip-to-ear
with  Adam and Eve. And they were so perfect in harmony with  God
till they were one with God. God and His family was one.

15 ONENESS 62-0211

Any man and his family, a correct, good, noble, obedient family
is one with another, any family. And if there's something in  the
family  that moves them apart, then it's not right, the  family's
broken  somewhere.  They should all be one, father  with  mother,
mother  with father, children with parent, parent with  children,
all  in agreement. And, when you see that, you'll see one  lovely
picture.

16  ONENESS That's  God's
purpose.  And His purpose as Father, supreme, was to be one  with
His  family, earthly family, Adam and Eve. And the only way  that
they could be one with the family, or with God, was because God's
nature was in them. So that made them with God's nature in  them,
then  with each other and God, they become all one. Isn't that  a
beautiful  picture, God in His family, Father over all,  supreme!
No death, no sorrow, no heartaches, no nothing; just joy unspeak-

able; never to be sick, never to have a heartache, just one  with
God! What a picture! Because, the very nature of God was in these
people. And therefore, what they did, they followed just in  line
with God, and God with them made them one.

17 ONENESS 62-0211

Now,  Jesus  prayed,  in John, the 17th chapter  and  the  11th
verse, to you who put down these Sunday school texts. I have many
of  them this morning. John 17:11, Jesus prayed that  the  Church
and  He  would be one like He and the Father were one.  That  the
Church,  we as members of the Body of Christ, would be  one,  to-

gether,  just like He and the Father are one. And at that day  we
would know that He was in the Father... Father in Him, and He  in
us, that together we were one. What a union, a oneness that would
be, to see God in His Church till every member is just  perfectly
in harmony with each other and God. That's the Church that  Jesus
is  coming for. That's when His prayer will be answered, that  we
will be one.
