ONENESS  38

No Unity because no understanding

ONENESS PP. 157   The disciples, even walking with Jesus, they didn't have no oneness. They didn't have any unity. No, they argued, "Who's going to be bishop after this. Who's the greatest among us?" They couldn't even believe Jesus. They couldn't understand Him. "Thou speakest in riddles. Tell us plainly what You mean." There was no unity between Jesus and the disciples, or disciples to Jesus, and the disciples among one another.

Matt 20: 17-19 <read> Now,  look  how solemn this situation is. Christ was  telling  the Apostles  all  about  how  He had to suffer  many  tings  and  be rejected  and Crucified, Die, and be buried and arise again. All the agony and pain He revealed to the Apostles and look at  their response. Notice where  their minds were.  Isn't  Alpha  become Omega?

Matt 20: 20-23 <read> They wanted something for themselves.

PP. 157 again.

Matt 20: 24-28 <read> He  brought the thing right back to where they left it and  right back to where He was at before He was interruption.

PP. 158 No matter, that goes to show you, brother. Listen close now; I want this to stick real deep down in your heart. See? God's got a plan. Outside of that plan, I don't care how much wisdom's behind it, how many fine millions of dollars of buildings, how many schools of theology, how many holy men and holy this, and holy, holy, holy, makes no difference at all; if one Word of God's Bible is denied, it's of the Devil. Now, I've proved that to you by the written Word of God from New to Old Testament, and I'll bring her on down to the day if you'll just set with me a few minutes...?

... Outside of His Plan it doesn't matter what Wisdom you have.

PP. 159 The disciples who walked hand and hand with Jesus, slept with Him, eat with Him, watched His miracles, and associated with Him, close as any brother could be, and yet they didn't have it. They wasn't fit to preach the Gospel. Jesus said, "Don't you preach anymore; don't you even try. You wait up there at the city of Jerusalem. I'm going to send the promise, that's been given you, upon you. That'll unify you then."

Why  were  they not fit to preach the Gospel? Because  they  were unaware  of His plan. It's not as though He hadn't told them  His plan.  He  did, but their minds weren't into it. They  hadn’t  yet received it.

Matt 20: 17-19 again.

ONENESS pp. 160 - 163 "Now, Father, I pray that they'll be one just as You and I are one. And I... As My Father has sent Me to preach the Gospel, so send I you."

And the very Father that sent the Son, came in the Son. Unity is one. He said, "If I do not the works of My Father, then don't believe Me. But if My works that I do speak so loud, you're perfectly deaf, dumb, and blind if you don't see it." Oh, brother, whew. Said, "You hypocrites, you can discern the face of the skies, but the signs of the time you can't discern. If you would've known Me, you would've knowed My day. Well did Isaiah speak of you. You got ears, and you're so deaf you can't hear. Eyes, and so blind you can't see..."

Well did the Apostle Paul said, "In the last days they'd have a form of godliness and deny the power thereof," and Scripture after Scripture, what would take place in these organizations in the last days. Then they wonder why I cry out against that manmade system of the Devil. See them precious children lured out there like sheep going to a slaughter... Bring them out, Lord.

163    Yes, disciples had no unity. They could not understand Jesus. They said, "Aw, who can understand these things?" See, God wasn't in them yet. They were just associated in fellowship. They just associated with Him. That's many a good man today. They didn't drink, lie, steal, nothing, but they didn't have that oneness of God. They wasn't one with God yet. See, they couldn't be. Oh, they done miracles. They cast out devils. That ain't a--that ain't a...

They had no unity because they had no understanding.

JOHN 13: 21 to JOHN 17: 21  They had no unity because they could not understand. So the unity is to have the same understanding. The same mindset.
