ONENESS # 67

Interruption of the Union

July 18, 1993

Brian Kocourek

DEUT 23: 14, 29: 29

Last  Wednesday night we continued to recap Oneness as  we  shall

this morning also. This is number 67 in our series.

Wednesday  night  we spoke about the first  five  points  brother

Branham  mentioned in his sermon Oneness and we saw that he  tied

Oneness with God into Communion. In other words, to have  Oneness

you must be able to communicate. And in order to communicate  you

must  be on the same wave length. Your mind must be able to  com

prehend the mind of the other person.

Now we saw also that he immediately tied this point into  Hebrews

1 and Genesis 1 that spoke of Christ and Our own coming into  the

Image of the Father.

So we see here that Oneness has to do with having the same source

as the one we wish to have oneness with.

So point number two is this[1]: Our Oneness with God depends upon  a

certain relationship which we can have only because we are of the

same source.

Point  number  three[1] breaks forth from number two and  two  from

one. Having the same source is essential to this oneness for  out

of the same Source we have the same Life. And if we thus have the

same Life then that Life will produce in us the same Nature.  And

of  course  how can that Life be sent forth but by a Word  if  in

fact He is the Word and "as a man thinketh in His heart, then  so

is  He,"  and if he is the Word and we are to come forth  in  His

Image then we must be dealing with a Word of Life, according to 2

Peter 1: 1-4.

Which  then  brings us to [1]point number four. It is  essential  to

have  the  same Nature in order to produce the  harmony  that  is

necessary for Oneness. Oneness is dependent upon having the  same

Nature in both communing parties. "How can two walk together lest

they  be agreed?" You could never put a fox in the chicken  house

nor  could a wolf have communion with a lamb. At least  not  with

their  present  natures  which are a result of the  fall  in  the

garden.

Now  this  harmony then causes a desire for fellowship.  A  being

together.  so we see then that out of point number four which  is

the nature that is produced by the Life which comes from the same

source, we see point number five[1] which is a desire or longing to

come together in fellowship. We just can't get away from it. To be

apart  then  becomes contrary to our nature that  is  within. No

matter how many times we may have been hurt by our flesh natures,

we  still have a higher nature that loves the Harmony that  comes

from  the  Life  of the Word. Brother  Branham  said,  "The  only

grounds for fellowship is oneness."

Now, Wednesday night we looked at the interruption in the  Garden

that  caused the Life and nature of God to be interrupted in  the

lives  of  His Seed in which we may count ourselves to  be  among

that number.

Point  # 6 then is the interruption to the nature that caused  an

interruption to the harmony and therefore oneness in the  garden.

Now our flesh has a different nature than our spirit.

We  showed  Gen 1: 11 that all things must reproduce  after  it's

kind and the scripture also says, " Who's seed is in itself"

We found in Eph 1: 3 - 4 That  we were in Him. And being His seed

we had to be in Him. Then notice, that seed must come forth after

It's  kind, or in the image of the seed bearer and giver.  So  we

had to be in Him at one point if we are to come into His Image.

Because Gen 1: 26 - 27 says we were created in His own image then

formed us of the dust of the earth....Gen 2: 7

We Then followed this through and saw the interruption take place

in Genesis chapter 3 and then the result of that interruption  in

chapter  4  when Cain murdered Abel. Now in Chapter 3 we  find  2

seed had been planted. The Son of Man came forth planting and the

man  in black came right behind as we see the parable in  Matthew

and the other Gospels.

So  the Satan through the Serpent caused a great interruption  in

the Life stream of God through His children.

Now this interruption not only caused an interruption in the Life

Stream,  but also since the Life dictates the nature, we see  man

now had a dual nature. Up to the time of Noah, those seed of  God

through Adam still possessed a nature that was 100% compatible to

God and His Word. But at the time of Noah, we found in Genesis  6

that  this  compatibility was destroyed because the Sons  of  God

began  to look upon the fairness of the women who were in  direct

descent of Cain and therefore the serpents lineage.

Now  the  sad thing is that this intermarrying  that  took  place

produced offspring that were no longer pure sons of God, but  now

became  a hybrid. Not any longer pure lineage of God but  another

life was interjected into the blood stream and produced a  hybrid

people  or race. Noah was the last man that was genetically  pure

and  a perfect son of God. From Noah'sons and on, all  men  would

have  some serpent nature in their flesh and this  hybrid  nature

would  war  continuously  against the nature  of  God,  which  we

understand  that  He is the Word. "For as a man  thinketh  i  His

heart, so is He."

Now,  we  see  it was at this point of the  interruption  in  the

garden that death set in. Now, I would like to examine this  life

and death scenario this morning.

Last  night while in prayer, The Lord opened my understanding  to

some things I never perceived before concerning life and death.

As  you know we are looking at the two natures that we have.  The

nature  of our Spirit and that of this flesh which Paul calls  in

Roman's,  "The body of this death." For that is exactly  what  it

is.

1 Cor 2: 10 - 16 no man understandeth the things of God save

the Spirit of God in Him

There  is  no way we can possibly understand the  things  of  God

through our mental abilities. And that is where the rub comes. We

toil within ourselves over these two natures that are so much  in

conflict.

Now what God revealed to me last night was this. "A man that  has

Life  in  him has a living hope in Him. Now that  is  scriptural,

That's  1  PETER  1: 3 <read> A man that has Life in  him  has  a

living  hope welling up within him like an artesian well.  He  is

living for something. He is anticipating something. He has  goals

and  he  has  personal targets to shoot for in his  life.  He  is

constantly bettering himself or at least trying to do so  because

he is motivated to do so out of Life itself.

He  will  always  be sowing and therefore reaping.  That  is  the

principal  of  Faith. If you sow you shall also reap. But  a  man

that has no hope, although he may have sowed for a while, because

he may not see anything come of it immediately, he begins to draw

back and quits sowing. That's when whatever fruits of his  sowing

begin  to  die  out and there becomes no chance at  all  of  ever

reaping.

The rich young ruler had understood sowing and reaping. The bible

tells us that he even told Jesus that he paid tithes of all.  But

when  Jesus asked him to take that one step further and  sow  all

that he had for the kingdom of God and personally invited him  to

join him and disciple and perhaps become one of the Apostles, yet

he could not see that far ahead.

So  we see the scripture tells us that his barns  overflowed  and

had to build more barns. But one day he felt he had all he wanted

and  he stopped sowing. He died that night. That is the way  with

people today. They are not happy unless they get some new toy and

when they do, the joy may last a day, a week or maybe a month but

it soon begins to rust or tarnish and the joy flees as quickly.

That's  because  they are sowing to the flesh, and of  the  flesh

they shall reap. But if the flesh was sown in corruption then all

you could ever hope for is corruption and that is why people give

up hope. What use they say to work so hard and you can't have  it

forever. The joy flee's away. The excitement leaves. And all that

is left is the bills.

You  see,  Life  is an energy. Life is  an  ever  changing  force

within  us that is constantly looking to expand it's  boundaries,

to  press out into uncharted waters so to speak. To bring  us  to

the  limits. My grandmother broke her hip at the age of 89  while

weeding under her California house. Her daughters scolded her for

doing so much and she just told them this, "The moment I cease to

work  is the day I'll begin to die. Her hip took longer  to  heal

than hoped for and she passed away a few years later because  her

activity  level ceased. She was right. Her broken hip slowed  her

down long enough for death to catch up.

Life is all about challenge and change. Always pressing  forward,

never worried about yesterday but looking to tomorrow and  enjoy

ing today.  But death on the other hand is motionless. It has  no

aspirations  and no ambitions. It only looks on with  disgust  at

all  the commotion that goes on around it. It neither has  breath

nor  has it  vitality. It is simply stillborn, motionless,  empty

and  void of energy. It has no expectations, no  hope.  Therefore

reality  no longer has a hold upon those who are dead. They  have

no hope and therefore nothing to Live for.

Yet Life is constantly in a struggle with something. That is  the

nature  of Life. We get the wrong idea of rest and peace. We  say

we  long  for rest, yet our idea of really making it is  to  have

everything we desire in life and not have to work anymore. Do you

realize how contrary that is to nature itself.

Let's just look at a life capsule for a moment. A young child  is

so  full of Life and vitality that his parents have a fit  trying

just  to keep up with it and put the things back in their  proper

order that it misplaced or messed up. Energy. Bundles of it. Why?

It's  full  of  life, zeal, vitality.  It's  little  muscles  are

constantly  pressing the limits. Growing up, pushing out.  energy

unlimited.  Then that child begins to grow taller and  begins  to

develop  great  strength. Maybe it pursues athletics  because  it

simply becomes an outlet for all that pent up energies.

At 16 - 20 that person is at the peak of it's life cycle. Full of

ambition,  full of dreams. Full of Love and full of hormones.  Oh

those hormones. They are so pent up that they seem as though they

will just burst out all over.

Yet as the child grows older, if he has been properly brought up,

he  begins  to  acquires wisdom to control his  energies  and  to

channel them.

Then  with his dreams in mind he begins to channel  his  energies

into college and a career and his desires are to continue to move

upward  and  outward.  He  has the pioneer  spirit.  By  his  mid

twenties  he  doesn't realize he is already dying  and  death  is

setting into his body. But his mind still has great ambition.  He

begins  to  push his mind more than his body and he  strives  for

material achievements.

A  job, a home, a family, a car etc. As he reaches his  30's  his

body  begins to slow down to a less hectic pace but he  is  going

through  denial. He only tells himself that his body isn't  func

tioning the same because he has made other choices, but in reali

ty  by the age of 20 to 25 one of His lights goes out and by  mid

thirty of forty he looses another one.

    37 THE.UNCERTAIN.SOUND -- JEFF.IN -- V-16 N-3 -- 60-1218

"  Now, when we were made, if when we were made. And  they  just

found  out,  recently,  that your body is full  of  light.  X-ray

proves  that. The x-ray does not have any light of its own.  It's

your  light  that it uses. You're born with four  rays.  After  a

little  while,  say twenty, twenty-five, one ray  goes  out;  and

thirty-five, another; or forty, another one goes out; and finally

when  you get pass about sixty-five, you're living on  your  last

ray.  And every time you take an x-ray picture, you  are  tearing

them  rays down. That's the reason you don't have no more...  you

stick  these  kids' feet in them machines, because  it  was  just

tearing  the  rays right out of their little bodies.  And  that's

cosmic  light that's in you, that you are made up, full of  light

cells. Now, that's cosmic light."

So  then  what we see is that as we reach a certain  age  we  are

dying  and  what  Life we had is fading pretty  quick.  Death  is

setting in these mortal bodies and we try to tell ourselves  that

it  isn't. We begin to look forward to retirement,  because  why?

Our bodies are wearing out.

Yet  that is so contrary to life. Life is always breaking through

barriers that would bind it and hinder it's growth. Life wants to

break  free of any constraints that would hold it back.  Life  is

energy, life is motion.

Now, I'm telling you these things so that you might have a better

understanding of the spiritual implication. We are looking at the

two natures. The nature of the flesh and the nature of the  Spir

Yet we see that the parallel to this is that our Spirit, if it is

full of Life will be constantly pushing forward and moving  ahead

in the ways of the Lord, but if we are spiritually dying or  even

dead  yet while we are living in these bodies, we will have  lost

our  ambition to serve God and to do the things He has called  us

to do. Life has hope, death has none.

With  this  in  mind I would like to go  to  the  scripture  this

morning  and  examine  these thoughts on "What  is  Life?".  Now,

remember, we are still recapping Oneness, but this ties in  quite

well  with  the overall theme of Oneness and this  Life  and  the

nature of this Life that we have been focussing on lately.

1)   What is HOPE: WEBSTER = very weak- a feeling of what is

wanted that may happen. But the scripture usage is ELPIZ or

ELPIZO "an earnest expectation - similar to faith. 54 times

this word is used as faith and 53 times as hope.

 20-3 SOULS.IN.PRISON.NOW -- JEFF.IN. -- V-2 N-22 - 63-1110.1M

And  as the Father sent Him to preach to the living;  to  those

who  had hope and then present the same Message to those who  had

no hope, it seems to fitting at this time that that will have  to

be  done;  because  the Spirit of Christ living in  us  does  not

change the nature of Him, or doesn't change God's system. He must

be  the same in every generation. He must be the same. Said,  "As

the Father sent Me, so send I you."

 35 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.WRSHP - L.A.CA - V-18 N-2 - 65-0425.2E

And  this  world  must soon come to an end. It  can't  go  much

longer. Sin is too deep. It's beyond hope. There is no more  hope

for the world. It's past that.

                                  JOB.11:20

But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape,

and their hope [shall be as] the giving up of the ghost.

                                   JOB.14:7

For  there  is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that  it  will

sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

                                  JOB.14:19

The  waters wear the stones: thou washest away the  things  which

grow [out] of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope

of man.

                                   JOB.27:8

For  what [is] the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath  gained,

when God taketh away his soul?

                                   JOB.41:9

Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not [one] be cast  down

even at the sight of him

                                 PSALMS.33:18

Behold,  the eye of the LORD [is] upon them that fear  him,  upon

them that hope in his mercy;

                                 PSALMS.33:22

Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

                                 PSALMS.42:5

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and [why] art thou  disquieted

in  me?  hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him  [for]  the

help of his countenance.

Hope lifts you out of depression.

                                PROVERBS.11:7

When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish: and the

hope of unjust [men] perisheth.

                                PROVERBS.13:12

Hope  deferred  maketh  the heart sick: but  [when]  the  desire

cometh, [it is] a tree of life.

                               ECCLESIASTES.9:4

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a

living dog is better than a dead lion.

                                 ISAIAH.38:18

For the grave cannot praise thee, death can [not] celebrate thee:

they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

                             I.CORINTHIANS.13:13

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the great

est of these [is] charity.

                             II.CORINTHIANS.10:15

Not boasting of things without [our] measure, [that is], of other

men's  labours;  but having hope, when your faith  is  increased,

that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule  abundant

ly,

                                GALATIANS.5:5

For  we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness  by

faith.

                    2)   Where does it come from:

                                 PSALMS.38:15

For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

                                 PSALMS.39:7

And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope [is] in thee.

                                 PSALMS.71:5

For  thou [art] my hope, O Lord GOD: [thou art] my trust from  my ¨

youth.

                                 PSALMS.78:7

That  they might set their hope in God, and not forget the  works ¨

of God, but keep his commandments:

                                PSALMS.119:81

CAPH.  My soul fainteth for thy salvation: [but] I hope  in  thy ¨

word.

                                PSALMS.119:114

Thou [art] my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

                                 ROMANS.8:20

For  the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly,  but

by reason of him who hath subjected [the same] in hope,

                                 ROMANS.15:4

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our

learning, that we through patience and comfort of the  scriptures

might have hope.

                                 ROMANS.15:13

Now  the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in  believ

ing,  that ye may abound in hope, through the power of  the  Holy

Ghost.

                                EPHESIANS.4:4

[There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one

hope of your calling;

                            II.THESSALONIANS.2:16

Now  our  Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even  our  Father,

which hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting  consolation

and good hope through grace,

                                I.TIMOTHY.1:1

Paul,  an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God  our

Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, [which is] our hope;

                                  TITUS.1:2

In  hope  of eternal life, which God, that cannot  lie,  promised

before the world began;

                                  TITUS.3:7

That  being justified by his grace, we should be made  heirs  ac

cording to the hope of eternal life.

                                 I.PETER.1:21

Who  by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the  dead,

and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

                    3)   Why we need to have it:

                                 ROMANS.4:18

Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father

of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed

be.

                                 PSALMS.71:14

But  I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more  and

more.

                                PROVERBS.14:32

The  wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the  righteous

hath hope in his death.

                                  ROMANS.5:2

By  whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein  we

stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

                                 ROMANS.8:24

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope:  for

what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

                              I.CORINTHIANS.9:10

Or  saith  he [it] altogether for our sakes? For  our  sakes,  no

doubt,  [this]  is written: that he that ploweth should  plow  in

hope;  and that he that thresheth in hope should be  partaker  of

his hope.

                             I.CORINTHIANS.15:19

If  in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of  all  men

most miserable.

                             II.CORINTHIANS.3:1

Seeing  then that we have such hope, we use great  plainness  of

speech:

                                EPHESIANS.1:18

The  eyes  of your understanding being enlightened; that  ye  may

know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of  the

glory of his inheritance in the saints,

                             I.THESSALONIANS.4:13

But  I would not have you to be ignorant,  brethren,  concerning

them  which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others  which

have no hope.

                                  TITUS.2:13

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of  the

great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

                                 HEBREWS.7:19

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better

hope [did]; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

                                 I.PETER.1:3

Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  which

according  to  his abundant mercy hath begotten us again  unto  a

lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

                                 I.PETER.3:15

But  sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready  always

to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of  the

hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

                    4)   What will it produce in me:

                                  JOB.31:24

If  I  have made gold my hope, or have said to  the  fine  gold,

[Thou art] my confidence;

                                 PSALMS.16:9

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also

shall rest in hope.

                                 PSALMS.31:24

Be  of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,  all  ye

that hope in the LORD.

                                PSALMS.119:116

Uphold  me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let  me

not be ashamed of my hope.

                                 PSALMS.130:5

I  wait  for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word  do  I

hope.

                                PROVERBS.10:28

The  hope of the righteous [shall be] gladness: but the  expecta

tion of the wicked shall perish.

                                JEREMIAH.17:7

Blessed  [is] the man that trusteth in the LORD, and  whose  hope

the LORD is.

                                  ACTS.2:26

Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad;  moreover

also my flesh shall rest in hope:

                                  ROMANS.5:4

And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

                                  ROMANS.5:5

And  hope  maketh not ashamed; because the love of  God  is  shed

abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

                                 ROMANS.8:25

But  if we hope for that we see not, [then] do we  with  patience

wait for [it].

                                 ROMANS.12:12

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant  in

prayer;

                               COLOSSIANS.1:23

If  ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and  [be]  not

moved  away  from the hope of the gospel, which  ye  have  heard,

[and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven;

whereof I Paul am made a minister;

                               COLOSSIANS.1:27

To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of

this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope

of glory:

                             I.THESSALONIANS.1:3

Remembering  without  ceasing your work of faith, and  labour  of

love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight

of God and our Father;

                             I.THESSALONIANS.2:19

For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are]  not

even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

                             I.THESSALONIANS.5:8

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the  breast

plate  of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope  of  salva

tion.

                                 HEBREWS.3:6

But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we

hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm  unto

the end.

                                 HEBREWS.6:11

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to

the full assurance of hope unto the end:

                                 HEBREWS.6:18

That  by two immutable things, in which [it was]  impossible  for

God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for

refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

                                 HEBREWS.6:19

Which  [hope]  we have as an anchor of the soul,  both  sure  and

stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

                                 I.PETER.1:13

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope  to

the  end  for  the grace that is to be brought unto  you  at  the

revelation of Jesus Christ;

                                  I.JOHN.3:3

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself,  even
