HARVEST TIME
64-1212 102 We find that God
gave His family Eternal Life as long as they stayed in this Word and lived by
this Word. But when they broke it, just one link in the chain of promises,
death struck them, which was a promise also.
It's a chain. You're hanging over hell with it, and that's the only
thing that'll carry you through. When
the believer becomes a make-believer and lives on one word that's contrary to
this Word, he cuts his fellowship with God. One link broke... And,
remember, your faith in this Word is
like a chain. A chain is its strongest at its weakest link. That's right.
It's the strongest that, 'cause that's all it'll hold. And if
there's something in the Word that's puzzling to you, something that you have
heard different, but they said, "The... Oh, that was for the
apostles, and them things was for days gone by," when the Scripture said
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, don't let that be a
weakness. Fortify it and hold it, and
wrap your life into it, because that's the only thing that'll take you over the
flames of hell. That's right. 104 When this chain is broke with Adam and Eve,
the first family... Now, remember, they
didn't break a sentence; they didn't break three Words; one Word. Man shall
hang over hell by every Word, every Word that proceedeth
out of the mouth of God. That's where
man's eternal destination is determined. Why, he'll hang by that chain, or
he'll hang by a creed; or if there's creed mixed into the chain, there's where
the weak link is, and you're gone. That's where the weak link was with Adam and
with Eve. That weak link, "surely," he said, "God..." But
surely God said it. And if God said it,
God meant it. And He also keeps His Word by saying, "The day you eat
thereof, that day you die." The day
you put into you anything else besides the unadulterated Word of God, into your
soul, that's the day that you're separated from God. Now, this is very strong, but just listen close. Now, notice. One
Word, one Word of the first of the Bible, God said that, one Word, separated
man from its eternal life chain. That's like taking a man and your hanging by his feet and he's got his hands in heaven,
and you cut him half in two, break off a toe, whatever you're hanging unto.
You're hanging on the very bottom part, and you break that chain anywhere,
you're gone. Now, bear that in mind.
BROKEN CISTERNS 5-0123 56 When God first set the human race in--on
earth, He told them they live by His Word. Now, the Word of God is like a
chain, you're passing across hell with It; and its
chain is only its best at its weakest link, and God wants us to keep every Word
of It. Now, that was the first of the Bible; just to break one Word, plunged
the human race into a darkness of death.
Jesus came in the middle of the Bible, and He
said that, [Luke 4:4]
"Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every Word." Not just part of the Words, or ninety-nine out of
a hundred; but every Word, just like Eve and Adam was. And in the last of the Bible, Revelations
MIGHTY CONQUEROR 58-0610 E-34 You're weakest link in your chain, is the strongest place. That tells the chain, no
matter how strong other things are, that weak in one point. There's where
you want keep covered.
ONENESS 62-0211 65 But it just takes one word; that breaks the
fellowship right there. A chain is no stronger than its weakest link. The more
your weakness is on disbelieving God's Word; there's where you want to put a
new link, strong with the rest of it. If you believe Jesus Christ saves; then
you must put a link in there that believes He heals. If you believe He was,
you must believe He is. Hallelujah. If you believe He was, and wondering
whether He is, that link will break, then you're lost. See what I mean? It's stern it's hard, but it's the Truth. You must believe
Him, every Word, everything that He said.
IDENTIFICATION 63-012 E-100 One more remark--I'm closing. Listen close.
The goldsmith is now standing ready. You know, jewels are found in the earth,
materials that we beat together. But you know, if you
find in that something mixed into it, that nugget that you got will break
apart. A chain is no stronger than its weakest link. So if you're trying to be
a stone cut out of God, some material, and you find out you try to make
yourself too big, and in between there you had to squeeze some world into it,
that stone'll break. It won't stand the test. And
listen. God will not accept us Pentecostal people when we inject dogmas and
everything else in God's Word. It'll... God will reject the stone and kick it
over to one side. Let's not look for big things. Let's look for Christ in our
life. Let's look for humility. See? Remember, if the stone is big, and you're
trying to spread out... That's what I'm afraid we're trying to do. That's what
I've talk... I've got with these businessmen. It seems like they're outgrowing
something, and I... That's the reason I hate... I like to be honest with you
brethren. I got to meet you yonder in judgment someday. That's the reason the
church thinks I'm against the church. I'm not against the church. I'm... Why
would I identify myself here with you? If I thought the Baptist was right, the
Methodist was right, the Presbyterian was right, I'd be with them. I'm here
with you because I'm identifying myself here with you. But don't try to outgrow
your bounds now, be something that you're not. Don't try to make yourself some
big to compare with somebody else, and work some worldlyism
in there to get more members and things. The thing will break right smack in
two, and God will cast it into the heap over yonder to be remolded. And He'll raise up children of these other stones to Abraham.
GOD'S ONLY PROVIDED PLACE OF
WORSHIP 65-1128M 96 That every little jot, everything, you must
be faithful in. It's always the little vine, the
little foxes spoils the vine. Sometimes you leave... It's not the big things
you do; it's the little things you leave undone. Remember, a chain is only its
strongest at its weakest link. "Blessed are they that do all the
commandments of God, that they might have a right to enter in." Do all God
said, if it said for women to have long hair, you say...
