Preparation
#51 David a man after God's own Heart
Brian Kocourek
PREPARATION
53-1111 E-75 One more
little expression right quick, please. I'm thinking, there's something come
into my mind just now of a time that Israel had backslid and got away, like the
churches are away from God tonight. And the first thing you know The devil always, when he knows he's got
the edge on you, he gives you a bluff.
E-76 By the name
of Goliath. He stood up there, a great big burley fellow about four times the
size of an ordinary man, said, "I'll make a deal with you. I'll tell you
what I'll do; let's not fight all these men, kill all these men. You just
choose one man out of your group and send him over here, and if I kill him you
all serve us." Sure. The big smart brag, because he had the odds. He said,
"And if he kills me, then we'll serve you." Said, "Some of you
come over here and fight. Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho." Puts me in mind of these
guys today, "Let me see in that revival if one person is healed that I
could put my hands on and see before and after, and five years from now they'll
still be, I'll believe it. Ho, ho. Of course I believe in Divine healing."
Oh, that's a lie. You know it is. But as long as he thinks he's got the
odds, that's it.
E-77 I remember when I
first started, there was no campaigns in the country, nowhere. I preached on
that little subject right there. That big boaster of modern day science stands
up with their big wheels a turning and say, "Days of miracles is
past." Brother, that's a...?... corner now. That's right.
E-78 One day, you know
what happened? There happened to be a little old sheepherder out there God was
preparing, a little old fellow out there just about a, oh, about four foot and
a half high, little old right with a little sheepskin coat on. His daddy,
Jesse, happened to say, "David, take some wine and some raisins, and go up
there to the battle front and see your brothers. They're at camp. There's none
of them going to fight. There ain't enough fight in them. All their courage is
gone." About like it is in the Church today. "Well, I'll tell you,
Brother Branham, I seen so many failures. I don't know." Oh, my. That
makes me believe that much more. That's right. "Now, I don't know what to do."
E-79 So he got the wine
and the stuff, and he goes up there to his brothers and met his brothers out on
the field. And this big giant run out and roared. He happened to roar before
the wrong man one time. Little David turned around and said, "What's this?
What's going on over there? Who is that big scarecrow standing up there? You
mean to tell me that you guys will stand around and let that uncircumcised
Philistine defy the armies of the living God?" That's what I think today.
You let some of these big theological seminaries teachers with all these
D.D.D.'s behind them stand up and say, "There's no such a thing as the
power of God and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. And them days are gone."
Not as long as I live. No, sir. Not as long as God can put His hand on a man to
prepare him somewhere, He will not. No, sir.
E-80 David said, "I
will go fight him." And there the pastor, big seven foot Saul, cowed down
in his tent, my. But David said, "Let me go." Well, they took him up
before Saul. Saul said, "Now, my son, I admire your courage. But I will
tell you, that man is a warrior from his youth, and you're nothing but a youth.
That man knows how to use a sword. Why, his spear is twenty foot long maybe.
Why, he'd just pick you up and... like that." He said, "My
Lord," he said, "your servant... God let him take kill a bear with
his sling shot, and I took a kid out of a lion's mouth. How much more would He
deliver that uncircumcised Philistine into my hands." He knowed what he
was talking about; he had God behind him. He knowed the anointing oil was
poured on him. Samuel had done, done it. He knowed he was anointed. So nothing
wasn't going to bother him." What's the matter with you anointed people?
God's done poured the Holy Ghost oil on you. You're anointed. You've got the
privilege.
E-81 Quickly, and look.
"Why," he said, "you can't fight him." Said,
"Well, if you're going to, put on my armor." Huh. And the
first thing you know, they got this great big jacket of mail, you know, and put
on little David. And I can imagine seeing that little bitty fellow standing
there with this great big jacket on, standing like. He couldn't hold it up.
Huh. He come to find out that that ecclesiastical jacket didn't fit a man of
God. It doesn't yet. When you have to go away and get four years of
embalming fluid pumped into you, when God says go, get going. That's
right. God says you can do it, you can do it. "Whosoever will, let
him come." That great big ecclesiastical jacket on, you know, theological
seminary experience, didn't fit David. David said, "I haven't proved that
thing yet. I don't know nothing about it, but I do know what this is."
E-82 Brother, I don't know all about your
teaching, and all your doctrines, and all your Doxologies, and so forth, but I
do know what the Holy Ghost is. The very thing that saved me back there will
heal me. Hallelujah. God promised it and I believe it. Brethren, he reached
down there and got a hold of five little rocks as he crossed. And that old
fellow just laughed at him, said, "I'll feed you to the birds." He
said, "You meet me as a Philistine, in the name of a Philistine, with an
armor and a spear. But I meet you in the Name of the Lord God of
E-83 You say, "David dancing?" Oh,
yeah, he was a dancer. One day the ark come in, and his wife was setting up
there looking at him. He was a cute little fellow, and she was standing. And
here comes the ark across. And David run down there and begin to run and dance
and carry on. And his wife said, "You embarrass me."
"Oh," he said, "you don't like that, huh? Watch this." And
around and around and around and around and around the ark, dancing.
Hallelujah. That's right. Yes, sir. Said, "Watch this." And then...
God looked down out of heaven and said, "David, you're a man after My own
heart." Ha, ha. O glory. "You're the very man after My own
heart." Little old David was a dancer.
E-84 And here he went up there just a dancing in
the Spirit as hard as he could. Why? By faith he saw the victory. Amen. He
saw the victory. He took his little old sling in there, one of these
stones, and he give a dance and here he comes, coming around. Oh, I see Goliath
saying, "Ho, ho, ho, ho." What was it? He had five stones: F-a-i-t-h
in five fingers wrapped, this string around J-e-s-u-s. Here he comes. Oh,
brother. Look out, Goliath. You got to fall. And when he set that loose, the
Holy Ghost got a hold of that little old stone and picked up a speed about a
thousand miles per second, struck that giant between the face and he fell
forward. Hallelujah. Oh, my. Like a little Jim Crow, danced up there, jumped up
on him, pulled his sword out, chopped his head off like that. Said, "How
do you like that, boy?" Reached down and got him by the hair of his head.
Said, "Come on, boys, let's preach Divine healing." Way they
went. Hallelujah. And you know what they done? The rest of them seen it could
be done, and they cut Philistines plumb to the wall. Glory. Down there the old
critics has got their mouths shut now.
E-85 Florence Nightingale, Congressman Upshaw,
Queen of England, great men, when the Divine healing power was proved that
night yonder at Portland, Oregon, that maniac run to the platform, and God
threw the demon right on the ground. Tommy Osborn, Oral Roberts, Jaggers, the
rest of them took turns. We've cut them devils plumb to the walls. We've got
the victory. Hallelujah. There goes David marching in, pulling old Goliath's
head behind him. Victory, God prepared him a man to take care of it.
E-86 And, brother, about several hundred years
after that, the
E-87 They climbed up the hillsides, up yonder to
the temple, stayed in the upper room until all of a sudden they got to a place
one said, "I don't care if I am a Methodist. "Another one said,
"I don't care if I am a Baptist, or Sadducee," till all the
differences got out of them. And when they did, they started blessing God. And
about that time the preparation come from heaven. Now, the Catholic church
said, "Lick out your tongue, take the holy eucharist, that does it."
Holy eucharist, a little wafer... The Protestant church, just as bad; shake
hands with the preacher, right hand of fellowship, sprinkle a few little drops
of water on top of him, take him in to a...?
How far and they're both wrong. But here's what the Bible says the
preparation was.
E-88 Now, another thing, "Well, now my boy,
I believe you're to become a minister. We will see the doctor and elder and all
of them, and we'll give you the right hand of fellowship. We'll send you off to
a seminary, and we'll teach you all about this thing." Never that, no,
sir, that wasn't God's preparation. He said, "Wait in the city of
E-89 There I was sometime
ago, I was preaching. A certain minister come to me, he said, "Brother
Branham, I couldn't even enjoy your sermon," said, "those people
hollering 'amen,' screaming and hollering and crying." Said, "How
could you keep your subject?" I said, "I wasn't trying to." He
Said, "When do you ever run out?" I said, "When a kink gets in
hose." Yes, when I get a kink in the hose somewhere, God has to straighten
it out, and let the blessings pour again." He Said, "I'll tell you,
them people just made chills run over my back." I said, "They
did?" I said, "That's strange. If you'd ever get to heaven, you'd
freeze to death; 'cause, brother, they're really making some noise up there:
Screaming and a shouting, and a praising God day and night, overcoming by the
Blood of the Lamb and their testimony." Hallelujah.
E-90 It's God's preparation time. God's preparing a
people. And if you can't have faith to heal this sick body, how you going to
have faith to raise it up in the last days? Glory to God. It's His
preparation time. Oh, you're going to call me a holy-roller, so that's all
right, I am
E-91 Well, let me tell you something now, brother: I'm
glad that I seen this vision of Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and
forever, of the power of the resurrected Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God that
takes away the sin of the world, heals the sickness. I'm glad tonight that He's
here. I'm glad that I have Eternal Life.
E-92 I'm telling you now; when you walk to the altar one
day and said, "I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior," raise up your
hand and started praising, thanking Him for your salvation. You couldn't show
any physical results, but you went ahead and you believed it. You stayed with
it; you confessed it; you believed it. And now, you... Everybody knows you got
it. Do the same thing by healing. Accept Him on the same basis. "I accept
Him as my Healer." Don't get that little old cowed down saying "Well,
I don't believe I can move this foot." Why not? You might not be able to
walk perfect for a month. But kick that crutch away and walk away anyhow. It's
your God given privilege. Amen.
E-93 Brother, I
feel good. I just got to quit. I was just getting warm now, so I believe I
could preach a little while right now, just getting straightened out now. I'd
like to get you over in Revelations, the Lamb coming. But I'll do that some
other time. God bless you. The time gets away so quick.
Now, I want you to
notice this one thing that he said here.
In paragraph 90, he said, "It's God's preparation time. God's
preparing a people. And if you can't have faith to heal this sick body, how you
going to have faith to raise it up in the last days? Glory to God. It's His
preparation time. How are we ever
going to come to perfection if we haven't yet come to having enough faith to
even be healed?
He told us in
Malachi 4 that He would come with healing in His Wings didn't He?
MALACHI 4:1 ¶ For, behold,
the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all
that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up,
saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. He
is speaking about the end-time. And it shall leave those who are left behind no
root orr branch and he is called the Root out of dry ground, and He is also
called the Branch.
ISAIAH 53:1 ¶ Who hath
believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender
plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor
comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should
desire him.
3 He
is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed
him not.
4
¶ Surely he hath borne our
griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of
God, and afflicted.
5
But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes
we are healed.
6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own
way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He
was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought
as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he
openeth not his mouth.
8 He
was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation?
for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my
people was he stricken.
9
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death;
because he had done no violence, neither [was any] deceit in his mouth.
10
¶ Yet it pleased the LORD to
bruise him; he hath put [him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an
offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the
pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11
He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by
his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their
iniquities.
12
Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the great, and he shall
divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto
death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.
Notice, 2
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out
of a dry ground: And we find this speaks of Jesus, for we read in REVELATION 22:16 I Jesus have
sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root
and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star. 17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say,
Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the
water of life freely. 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth
the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things,
God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this
prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the
holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
Now, notice in Isaiah
53: 1, we are told that He is the root and because he does not appear to be
much they will reject Him, and yet in verse 12 we are told that He also: "because he hath poured out his soul
unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of
many, and made intercession for the transgressors."
So we see His
appearance is in such a way as to be rejected, and yet the very one they are
rejecting is the very One Who makes intercession for our soul. Therefore, to
reject the intercessor is to reject intercession. We find this in…
II PETER 2:1
Wuest ¶ But there
arose also false prophets among the people, even as also among you there shall
be false teachers, who will be of such a character as to bring in alongside
True Doctrine, destructive heresies even denying the Lord Who purchased them,
bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
Now, I want you to notice that not only do
they deny the One who purchases with His own blood, but in doing so they bring
in these destructive heresies alongside of True Doctrine. Now why would they do
this? To confuse the people, because confusion brings fear and fear brings you
to a stand still and you don't move on with God. Now, let's read it again from
the NIV.
2
Peter 1:1-21 (NIV) 1 But there were also false
prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They
will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord
who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many
will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into
disrepute. The way of truth will be rejected because
of the hybrid doctrine that is brought in alongside of True, and because it
brings so much confusion, it brings disrepute. And that is exactly what
the oneness doctrine has done for this
Message. And that is what many are doing
who would deny that there is One God Who has a Son. BY denying the
individuality of the Son, they are denying His existence. They make Him just a dead piece of tissue,
laying prostrate across the Throne of God. A dead piece of tissue, they have
aborted Him, He is only a dead piece of flesh to them. And to do so they reject
His Role as Mediator and intercessor.
Brother Branham
said, in paragraph 90, "It's God's preparation time. God's
preparing a people. And if you can't have faith to heal this sick body, how you
going to have faith to raise it up in the last days? Glory to God. It's His
preparation time. How are we ever
going to come to perfection if we haven't yet come to having enough faith to
even be healed?
And how can we have
faith for healing if we deny that body that was the sacrifice? It's by His
Stripes that we are healed, It is by His Shed blood that our sins have been
forgiven and placed under the bleach of His blood never to be brought forth
into the Presence of God. And yet Paul
tells us we must not only have faith, because Faith gives us access into the
Grace wherein we now stand, but he also tells us in order to go on to
perfection, we must go even further into the Word than the entrance provided by
Faith.
ROMANS 5:1 ¶ Therefore being justified by faith, we have
peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand,
and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
HEBREWS 6:1 ¶ Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of
Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of
repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2 Of
the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the
dead, and of eternal judgment.
3
And this will we do, if God permit.
4
For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have
tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to
come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again
unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and
put [him] to an open shame.
7
For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and
bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing
from God:
8
But that which beareth thorns and briers [is] rejected, and [is] nigh
unto cursing; whose end [is] to be burned.
9
¶ But, beloved, we are persuaded
better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus
speak.
10
For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love,
which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints,
and do minister.
11
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the
full assurance of hope unto the end:
12
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and
patience inherit the promises.
13
For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no
greater, he sware by himself,
14
Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will
multiply thee.
15
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16
For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation [is]
to them an end of all strife.
17
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise
the immutability of his counsel, confirmed [it] by an oath:
18
That by two immutable things, in which [it was] impossible for God to
lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold
upon the hope set before us:
19
Which [hope] we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast,
and which entereth into that within the veil;
20
Whither the forerunner is for us entered, [even] Jesus, made an high
priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
HEBREWS 7:1 ¶ For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest
of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the
kings, and blessed him;
2 To
whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King
of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
Now, Paul told us that
faith is an entrance into Grace and it brings us into Peace with God. ROMANS
5:1 ¶ Therefore being justified by faith, we
have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Now, then I want you
to notice that this Faith, brings us into the presence of This Melchisedec who
is KING of PEACE. Did you ever notice
that it is Melchisedec Who is KING of Peace and Jesus is only called "The
PRINCE OF PEACE"? Now, what is the
relationship between a KING and A PRINCE?
The King is the Father of the Prince.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 7, PT. 1 57-0915E 291-20 Now, I think Paul gives the right
interpretation. For this Melchisedec, king of
291-22 Now, let's see, get His
genealogy a little further, to see where we're going. Without father,... (Now,
Jesus had a Father. You believe that? Sure He was.)... without mother,...
(Jesus had a mother, but this Fellow had neither father nor mother.)... without
descent,... (He never had anyone that He come off of, any descent. He always
was.)... without descent, having neither beginning of days,... (He never had
any time He ever started.)... nor the end of life;... (It could been nothing
else but God. That's all It could be.)
292-23 Now, now if
you'll notice, as we read the next verse. See? First, being by interpretation,
King of righteousness... (That's not where I want to do. The--the 3rd verse.)
... nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God;... (Now, He
was not the Son of God. For if He was the Son, He had a beginning, and this
Man had no beginning. If He was a Son, He had to have both father and mother.
And this Man had neither father nor mother, but He was made like unto the
Son of God.)... abideth a priest continually. Now, Dr. Scofield tries to say
that it was a priesthood, called the Melchisedec priesthood. But I just want to
take you on that just for a few minutes. If it was a priesthood, then it had to
have a beginning, and it had to have an end. But This had no beginning or had
any end. And he did not say he met a priesthood; he met a Man, and called His
Name Melchisedec. He was a Person, not a denomination, not a priesthood or
fatherhood; He was absolutely a Man by the Name of Melchisedec, Who
was the King of Jerusalem. Not a priesthood, but a King without a father,
priesthoods don't have father. And this Man was without father, without
mother, without beginning of days or ending of life. Now, the Son of God…..
Who this was, this was Jehovah! This was Almighty God Himself. It could be no
other.
292-25 Now, notice. ... He abideth
for ever... (He has a testimony here that He liveth, He never dies. He never
did... He never was nothing else but alive.)... He abideth for ever... Now,
Jesus was made liken unto Him. Now, the reason that there's a difference
between God and Jesus, Jesus had a beginning; God had no beginning; Melchisedec
had no beginning; and Jesus had a beginning. But Jesus was made likened unto
Him. ... a priest abideth forever.
3
Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither
beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth
a priest continually.
4
Now consider how great this man [was], unto whom even the patriarch
Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5
And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of
the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to
the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of
Abraham:
6
But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of
Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7
And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
8
And here men that die receive tithes; but there he [receiveth them], of
whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
9
And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in
Abraham.
10
For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11
¶ If therefore perfection were by
the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what
further need [was there] that another priest should rise after the order of
Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12
For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change
also of the law.
13
For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of
which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14
For [it is] evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe
Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15
And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of
Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16
Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the
power of an endless life.
17
For he testifieth, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of
Melchisedec.
18
For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for
the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope
[did]; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
20
And inasmuch as not without an oath [he was made priest]:
21
(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by
him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou [art] a priest
for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22
By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23
And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to
continue by reason of death:
24
But this [man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable
priesthood.
25
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto
God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26For such an high priest became us, [who is] holy,
harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27
Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice,
first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when
he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which
have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, [maketh] the
Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
Hebrews 8:1 ¶ Now of the things which we have spoken [this
is] the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of
the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
notice he is
sitting down, not draped over the throne.
2 A
minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched,
and not man. How can you
minister if you are dead, and lifeless.
3
For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices:
wherefore [it is] of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
4
For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there
are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was
admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he,
[that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the
mount.
6
¶ But now hath he obtained a more
excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant,
which was established upon better promises.
7
For if that first [covenant] had been faultless, then should no place
have been sought for the second.
8
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the
Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the
house of Judah:
9
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day
when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because
they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10
For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write
them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a
people:
11
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his
brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the
greatest.
12
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and
their iniquities will I remember no more.
13
In that he saith, A new [covenant], he hath made the first old. Now that
which decayeth and waxeth old [is] ready to vanish away.

CHAPTER 7, PT. 1 57-0915E
309-118 that same
Melchisedec that met Abraham coming from the slaughter of the kings. Certainly.
The God of heaven, the Elohim, the Great I AM, not the I was, the I AM (present
tense). "And He blessed him."
Listen here just a little further, so we can get the lesson a little
closer together. Now, the 4th verse... Now consider how great this man was,...
(I just think that too.)... consider how great this man was,... He's beyond the
Son of God. The Son of God had father and mother; He didn't. The Son of God had
a beginning of time and an ending of time; He didn't. Who was that? That was
the Father of the Son. That's Who it was.
HEBREWS
CHAPTER 7, PT. 2 57-0922 341-306 And this
Melchisedec was not Jesus, for He was God. And what made Jesus and God different,
that... Jesus was the Tabernacle that God dwelt in. See? Now, Melchisedec...
Jesus had both father and mother, and this Man never had father or mother.
Jesus had a beginning of life and He had a end of life. This Man had no father,
no mother, no beginning of days, or ending of life. But It was the self same
Person; it was Melchisedec and Jesus was One; but Jesus was the earthly body,
borned and fashioned after sin: God's own body, His own Son, borned and
fashioned after sin to take the sting out of death, to pay the ransom, and to
receive sons and daughters unto Himself. You get it? That's the reason that He
had a beginning; He had an ending.
GODHEAD EXPLAINED
61-0425B 26-1 I
thought God was His Father? Now, has He got two fathers, brethren? He can't
have. If He was, He was a bastard child, and what kind of a religion have we
got there? You've got to admit that God the Father and the Holy Ghost is the
same self Spirit. Sure it is. Sure, it's the same self Spirit.
WHY CRY SPEAK
59-1004E E-48 Now, how
many knows that Christ is the Spirit of God? We all know that. He's the
anointed One. Jesus was the anointed. There's where people who believe that
there's three or four different Gods, get all mixed up. See? God is a Spirit.
Jesus was the body that the Spirit of God dwelled in, made Him Emmanuel, God,
tabernacled on earth. He was God. Jesus Christ was God, yet He was the Son of
God. His flesh was the Son of God 'cause God created it, but inside He was God.
"It's not Me," said Jesus, "does the works, it's My Father that
dwelleth in Me. And that day you'll know that I'm in the Father, the Father in
Me, I in you, and you in Me." There you are.
