Rising of the Son no 27

The Christmas Message - Imparting Life

December 25, 2016

Brian Kocourek, Pastor

Luke 1:1  Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, 2  Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; 3  It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, 4  That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed. 5  There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 6  And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7  And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. 8  And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course, 9  According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. 10  And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense. 11  And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12  And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13  But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. 14  And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15  For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. 16  And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. 17  And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.  18  And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. 19  And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. 20  And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. 21  And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple. 22  And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless. 23  And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house. 24  And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, 25  Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men. 26  And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27  To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28  And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.  29  And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30  And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34  Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36  And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37  For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38  And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. 39  And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; 40  And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. 41  And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42  And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 43  And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44  For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45  And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.  46  And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47  And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48  For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49  For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 50  And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. 51  He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52  He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53  He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. 54  He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; 55  As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. 56  And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house. 57  Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 58  And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. 59  And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. 60  And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. 61  And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name. 62  And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called. 63  And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all. 64  And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God. 65  And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.  66  And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him. 67  And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, 68  Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, 69  And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; 70  As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 71  That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72  To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; 73  The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 74  That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 75  In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. 76  And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 77  To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,  78  Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,  79  To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. 80  And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.  2  (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3  And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.  4  And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5  To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.  6  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7  And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  9  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10  And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15  And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.  16  And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17  And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18  And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19  But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20  And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

Let us pray...

Since this is Christmas today, I would like to speak on the birth of Christ Jesus the first born son of God and its significance to us as God's other children.

My objective for this sermon this morning is to examine the following:

First of all I would like Show that Jesus Christ the Son of God was brought forth as the very blood of God.

Next I would like to Show how that in His DNA was every attribute and characteristic that made up who God is intrinsically and essentially. I wish to show that Jesus Christ the first born son of God was so much the very expression of God Himself, that in Him also was essentially intrinsically all that God is.

Then I would like to show that Jesus Christ was so much the expressed image of the Father, that when he was here on earth he did not come to express son, but to show us the Father.

Then we will Show that in Him was the very Life of the Father, and that Life became the very light of man.

Then we will Show you that we also become the very blood of God through the same Spirit Life that dwelt in the Father and then in the first born son.

And finally we will examine how we are to walk in the LIGHT as He (God) is in the Light, when we do we become One in Light and have Oneness with God, and in walking in the light as he is walking in the light, we are not walking at our own pace but rather we are walking in his footsteps, and thus we walk as He walks, and as we walk with him, we see what He sees, and we hear as He hears.

Therefore, we become the Essentiality and the intrinsicality of Him Who indwells us in the light. That means by our reflecting His very essence and nature we become one with Him. Then we as born again new Creations in Christ experience Life first hand as God is experiencing in and through us. This is the Christmas Message to us. This is the reason Jesus Christ was born in the flesh so that we could also be born anew.

Now, before we go any further let's look to paragraph 29 of brother Branham's sermon, It is the Rising of the Sun (Son). here he says, We, as beneficiaries, are to prove His Life is in us now, the beneficiaries of this Life. The Life... There never was a life lived like it; He was the Son of God. And He died and that shut it out; but when He raised again from the dead on Easter morning, then we, as His servants, are commissioned by Him to go into all the world and to bring this good news to every person: that He is a-living. And how can we do it by word only? For it is written, "The Gospel came not by word only, but through the power and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit to prove that He is alive."

Now, Christmas is not all about giving of gifts. That may be a fun thing to do if you can afford it, but there is no greater gift that you can give to another than the imparting of Life, Eternal Life. And we see the first Christmas, was when God imparted His own life into His uniquely born first born son.

In John 5:26 we read,  "For as (the word as is a present tense situation) as the Father hath (echoes) life in himself; so has he given to the Son to have (echo) life in himself;"

So you see the very first thing about Christmas is the echoing of Life and the bringing forth in another to echo that very life as well.

Just think, God so Loved his son, that He gave the son the same Life that was in the Father and as the Father echoed that life like an echocardiogram shows Life is evident, so too has the Father given His Son Jesus that same Life and the ability to echo in His own vessel the very eternal life that is resident in the Father.

That day on Calvary 60-0925 P:53 Now, watch, Jesus said... Watch how He stated it. "The works that I do (He's doing them right now.) the works that I'm doing nowhealing the sick, raising the dead, opening the eyes of the blind, these works shall you do also. You'll do these if you believe in Me. You do these works, and then a greater than this shall you do, for I go to My Father. (Notice he speaks of works and then the greater works making a distinction between the two) A little while and the world won't see Me no more. Yet you'll see Me. I'll be with you, even in you to the end of the world. I will not leave you comfortless. I'll pray the Father. He'll send you another Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the world cannot receive, yet you can receive Him." 54 Now, notice, the greater works was to have the power in the church, not only to heal the sick by prayer, cast out devils by prayer, but to impart Eternal Life to believers. The Holy Ghost was coming and given into the hands of the church to impart life. Oh, that's what Calvary meant. It took stooped, degraded men and women and lifted them into a place to be sons and daughters of God to heal the sick and to impart Eternal Life. By giving the Holy Ghost to obedient believers, men who were once unbelievers be made believers and impart spiritual Eternal Life. 55 How much greater is it to say to this sick woman laying here, "I can pray a prayer of faith," and she'll be healed. That's a great thing. That's what He was doing then, but said, "Greater than this shall you do. I'm going to give you power, not only to raise him up for a while, but to give him Eternal Life, which will be eternal forever." Poor, blind, wretched people, how do you miss that?

Now, think about that. The very purpose of God bringing forth His Son Jesus into a created life form was to bring other sons to life. Therefore the very purpose of Christmas was to give the gift of life.

You can look the world over high and low, and when you see a real mother, she is not so interested in the things that she can give her little children, but one thing, and that is herself, her life, her energy, her care, her love. Then if she has the means she will begin to give other gifts to her children, whatever she can afford.

Greatest gift in bible 57-0811A P:20 And I said this afternoon, or for this afternoon, that I wanted to speak on, "The Greatest Gift In The Bible." And how many in the audience this afternoon could think of any greater gift that God could give to man than Eternal Life. There is not one gift that could be given greater than Life. Life is that is the sublime gift. It's the greatest of all gifts, for where there is life, there is joy. And God alone has Eternal Life.

But take note, sometimes in traveling the world, you see women who have barely clothes on their back, but whether they have world things or not, they want to spend quality time with their children, and love them and give self to them in such a way as to bond eternally with their little ones.

And God said, there is no greater gift that a man can give than to lay down his own life for another. So we are looking at the first Christmas when God gave Jesus Christ His first born son the greatest thing he could give him, and that was the gift of eternal life. His very own Life to indwell His firstborn son. And He did this so that this first born son could brings other sons to life.

Questions and answers COD 64-0823E P:120 And then God became material in a Man called Jesus Christ which was His Son. This Son gave His Life that He might bring other sons, that God might become tangible, working in all in all. "In that day you'll know that I'm in the Father, the Father in Me, I in you and you in Me."Oh, brother, that'll be a real day. You won't have to drive over from Birmingham to hear the Message; the Message will be right with us then, won't it? Oh, it'll be a wonderful, wonderful time. We're looking for that day; God hasten it to come. That great city setting there (Now, see?), it will not... You think, "Fifteen hundred miles high?" That's what the Bible said. Now, it will not be fifteen hundred miles right straight up like that. See? We have another geographic measure that all sides are equal; that's a pyramid. See? And the city will start probably about a sixty degree. And if it starts, fifteen hundred miles of that, just think how high that will be, but how long it'll take to be there. You'll hardly know you're walking up the hill. For fifteen hundred miles high at a sixty degree, you're just about like this. See? And the city's all on this hill. And it's just as high as it is long; it's just as long as it is wide. The height, by the depth, by the breadth, it's equal; all the walls are equal. A pyramid has four walls, and these four walls will be...

Greater than Solomon is here 57-0228 P:20 Jesus was God's love Gift to the Church, and the Church is God's love gift to Jesus. God so loved world that He gave. See? "All the Father has given Me will come." See, it's a love affair.

Zechariah 8:8 And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in right-wise-ness.

2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Ezekiel 37:27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Ezekiel 11:20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Jeremiah 32:38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Jeremiah 24:7 And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

Oh, brother sister, do you see what we have to look forward too? And this is not speaking of down the road, it has already began as we began to walk in the light as he is IN the light.  we have already began to walk with him and we see what he see and we hear what he hears, and we experience what he experiences, because not only are we walking in the light as he is in the light, but he is living in us, and seeing the world through our eyes, and yet we are perceiving all things through the eyes of His understanding.

Spoken word original seed 62-0318M P:109 That's the reason that God could work His works through Jesus; He was a predestinated Son. He was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. Before a hundred billion, trillion, million years ago that we said Genesis 1:1 spoke of awhile ago, He was right then predestinated to take His place. Amen. That's the reason the will of the Father He did. He was the Word made manifest. And every one of the other sons will have the same manifestation, and that's the ones that was predestinated.

What did you say Brother Branham? Notice he said, And every one of the other sons will have the same manifestation, and that's the ones that was predestinated.

So much for only one man doing the works of Christ when all sons will manifest the same manifestation, the same Life, the same nature, because "by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body." One Body, One body, one body. Please never forget one body.

That's the Christmas message this morning, every one of the other sons will have the same manifestation, and that's the ones that was predestinated.

Why? Because it is the same Life.

Communion 62-0204 P:37 What is His body? What is the body of Christ? It's the body of believers that's associated with Him in the Holy Spirit, not an idol, not a piece of bread, but a Spirit that's in the heart of the believer, and they are associated together, that when man and God can talk to each other, sons and daughters of God. Mortal man, through the shedding of the Blood bought remission of sin, and this man and this woman, boy or girl that has fellowship with Christ is communing with Him, the body.

True Easter seal 61-0402 P:104 The Seal of Pentecost is the believer's credentials that he's passed from death unto Life, because he has received the Pentecostal blessing, God's Easter Seal to His Son. He sealed His first Son with the Holy Ghost. Is that right? True. And He sealed all of His other sons with the Holy Ghost.

Not another Holy Ghost. By ONE Spirit we are baptized into ONE Body. The Body of Christ.

Mighty God unveiled 64-0629 P:69 And notice, Paul said here, "Changing from glory to glory." You see, finally it comes back to its original glory. It's just like a seed of a morning glory. The seed of a flower, it falls into the ground. The seed of corn falls in the ground. What's the first thing? It comes up, and it's a little sprout; then it goes to a tassel. Then from a tassel back to its original grain. Well, that's exactly what the church has done. It come from Luther, Wesley, and now, back to the original grain, back to its original glory, back to the glory it was at the beginning. The sun that rose in the east is the same sun that's manifesting the same thing in the west, changing from glory to glory. It changed from the pagan down into Luther, and from Luther down into Wesley, and from Wesley out into Pentecost, and on and on, changing from glory to glory, producing the hidden manna. And now, it's ripe to bring Him back exactly like He was at the beginning, His same ministry, the same Jesus, the same power, the same Holy Ghost. The same One that come down on the day of Pentecost is the same Holy Ghost that's manifested today: from glory, into glory, to glory, and back to its original seed with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the same signs, same wonders, same baptism, same kind of people acting the same way, with the same power, the same sensation. It's from glory unto glory. And the next will be changed from this glory into a body like His own glorious Body where we shall see Him. Abraham saw the same.

Way back the 62-1123 P:57 The Word of God spoke that He would do it. Didn't the same Holy Ghost said, "These signs shall follow them that believe"? How in the world we going to get away from it? It's... You have it, if you're inoculated.

Be not afraid 62-0620 P:85 But this is my ministry that He give me a gift. And that gift is to shake the church to bring it to a recognition of the coming of Christ, the return of the Spirit of God in the church. It's on you, the same Spirit. It might not be the same gift, but the same Spirit. There's different manifestations, but the same Spirit all the time. The same Holy Ghost you got is the same Holy Ghost I got, the same Holy Ghost we all got. It's all the children of God.

That is what the Christmas message is all about, He came to impart Life, His own Life, For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son. God came down and imparted Life into His Son and then into sons.

Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

In bringing many sons to glory, to doxa, to the same opinions, and values, and judgments of God. Imparting Life, the greatest gift of all is to impart Life. And that is the Christmas Message.

Jehovah Jireh 61-0209 P:52 Oh, in a couple nights later, after I get through with this, I want to bring Him down on Mount Transfiguration and show what God did to Him there, the placing of His Son. Watch how He takes other sons out and does the same thing. Oh, my, what great riches is in this Bible. Quit reading the old funny stories, and looking at old no good television programs, and get back to church, to praying, ...

Jehovah Jireh 2 60-0802 P:26 So then God confirmed it with him, and we went through last night the beautiful order of confirmation. And how in the Orient, and how God tore Christ apart, and taken His body up to His right side, right-hand rather, and sent down the Holy Spirit upon the Church to anoint other sons and daughters of God. And that same Spirit that was on Christ is in the Church now. Do you believe that?

Imparting of Life, the greatest gift is to impart Life and that is the Christmas message, God sent His first born son into the world and imparted His own life into Him, and then took him to the cross to she his blood that He might take that same Spirit, that same Life that was in Him and impart that in other sons and daughters.

That is why before the foundations of the world when God was predestinating us unto Glory and unto the adoption of sons, he was predestinating his first born to die as the lamb of God, to shed His blood, the very blood of God in order to bring back that Spirit, the same Spirit that dwelt in his son, back upon sons.

QA on the seals 63-0324M P:91 Before there was an atom, or electrons, or before there was even cosmic light, electrons, or anything, He was God. He's the Creator. And that's the only way you can be eternal, is to receive Eternal Life; that Greek word there, I think, is Zoe. Isn't that right? Zoe, Zoe. And then that Life God imparts to you, as the father, your father imparts his life to you through the marriage vow with mother--and he, by that, imparts the joy of imparting (Catch me?), of the imparting life for a son. And that's the way God does: a joy in imparting His Life to a son. See? And then you become part of Him which is Zoe, God's Own Life. "I give unto them Eternal Life--raise them up at the last day." That's the only thing that... He got Eternal Life; and that Eternal Life knows its body, and it must have to come forth. That... It can't... It's impossible for it to lay there.

Brother, that's John 14:12. That's what sister Haddie Wright did. She was given power to have done whatever she asked for. John 14:13 Jesus said,  You ask and I will do it. And she asked for her sons to be given Eternal Life. That's what the third pull is all about, imparting life. No squirrel life, now there are three manifestations of squirrel life. No life in little fish, now Life imparted to little fish and away it swims under the power of a new life.

In fact if son of God seed will produce son of God, then we are looking at every seed that comes off that son of God seed will bear witness to son of God Life. That's the greatest work, imparting Life.

Path of life 62-0621B P:40 A man might look like a Christian, impersonate a Christian, or walk like a Christian, or so forth. But unless that germ of life is there, he cannot rise again. Jesus said, "I come that they might have Life," Zoe, God's own life in them. And there's... Everything that had a beginning has an end. It's those things which had not a beginning that has no end. There's only one thing that never had a beginning; that was God. And we become His children, part of Him, then Zoe, God's own Life, Eternal Life, is imparted to us. And that's the only way that we can live. And that's the only way that our lost friends out here, even church members, can ever live again, is because Zoe has been imparted to them, and we become a part.

Revelation chapter one 60-1204M P:56 "He that believeth in Me..." Saint John 14:7, "He that believeth in Me, the works that I do shall he also. Do the same works, and greater than this..." Because Christ cannot preach the baptism of the Holy Ghost would be greater. He could not bring it to them, because the Holy Ghost hadn't yet been given. But when Jesus came and sacrificed His Life, and the Holy Ghost returned, then they could impart Eternal Life to the people. That's the greater. But the signs and wonders, Jesus plainly said in Mark 16, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature." How far? All the world. How many? Every creature. Long as the Gospel's being preached, these signs shall follow them that believe. And when that becomes a revelation, brother, you're near the Kingdom then. "On this rock I'll build My church, and the gates of hell can't prevail against it."Because the man or the woman that's ever been in that back desert alone like Moses was, and the revelation of God be made manifest to him through the Holy Ghost, there's nothing can shake him. He's just as sound and solid as he can be. Satan hates revelation. He don't like it at all: upsets his plans.

That day on Calvary 60-0925 P:54 Now, notice, the greater works was to have the power in the church, not only to heal the sick by prayer, cast out devils by prayer, but to impart Eternal Life to believers.

P:55 How much greater is it to say to this sick woman laying here, "I can pray a prayer of faith," and she'll be healed. That's a great thing. That's what He was doing then, but said, "Greater than this shall you do. I'm going to give you power, not only to raise him up for a while, but to give him Eternal Life, which will be eternal forever."Poor, blind, wretched people, how do you miss that? Don't you see what the greater thing is? That's the greatest thing that could ever happen was to impart Eternal Life to people.

P:56 What is Eternal Life? The Life that He lived, the Life that was in Him: impart that to others. Can a man do that? A Son of God can. Jesus said, "Whosoever sins you remit to them they are remitted. Whosoever sins you retain, to them they are retained." Now, here's where the Catholic church and many of the others made their big mistake. They go out and say, "I forgive your sins." That wasn't it. How did they get sins forgiven in the Bible? Peter answered that question on the day of Pentecost. They said, "What can we do to be saved? How can we get this that you all got?"He laid down the prescription. He told them what to do. He said, "Repent, every one of you towards God, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ." What for? "The remission of your sins." There's the greater works.
