Rising of the Son no 57

Manifested Sonship

April 9, 2017

Brian Kocourek, Pastor

This morning we will continue with our study of brother Branham's sermon The Rising of the Sun (Son), and we will pick up at paragraph 118 "For now (Notice.), we are redeemed by Him and now risen with Him. That's what Easter means to the people: risen with Him. Notice. Now, we have His Spirit in us, the Abstract deed, fully paid. No, you don't say, "Well, I hope I make it." You've already made it. Not, "I will make it"; "I've already made it." I never made it; He made it for me. See? Not me, Him."Well, Brother Branham, they say..." I don't care what they say there; He made it for me. That's all I want to, I'm caring about. I just want to see Him manifested. How can you do it? Call Him down? No. He's in you. See? He's in you. "Well then, Lord, if I can get myself out of the way, You can manifest, ... myself. How can You do it? Because You ordained it so: 'All that the Father has given Me will come'" Notice. Glory.

This morning as we read from paragraph 118 of the Rising of the Sun we hear brother Branham make an interesting statement concerning the Manifesting of the Son of God.

And notice he is saying this can not happen unless he is in you to do it Himself.

The Masterpiece 64-0705 108 brother Branham says,  Now, for nearly two thousand years God has been again making Him a Masterpiece, (now, remember, he has been talking about

In my daily routine at the office I answer many emails from all over the world. Many

brethren write to me and have questions concerning the Message, and one question that

comes up regularly is “what about the manifestation of the sons of God.

The questions come in usually like this: "What does the manifestation of the sons of God mean, and how do you think it will come?

I do not think it is possible to answer any question concerning Scripture without first going to that Scripture and begin from there.

So let's just review where this is found in Scripture before we try to explain what it means.

The Biblical reference to the sons of God manifesting as sons of God is found in Romans chapter 8.

Therefore, let's turn in our Bibles to Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Now, this verse in itself cannot be understood without first reading the verse before it.

So let's just read from verse 18... And in fact we ought to read the entire 8th chpater because the Apostle Paul begins by showing us that we cannot even please God is we have not died to self.

Now, when we read what Paul tells us in Romans 8:5-8, we see he uses the word flesh, but the apostle Paul is not referring to the body of skin and bone, but rather to what governs that body, namely the soul and spirit of the man itself. In other words he is referring to self.

Romans 8:5 For they that are after (self) do mind the things of (self); but they that are after the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit. 6  For to be self minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7  Because being self absorbed is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  8  So then they that are living for self cannot please God.

Notice the Apostle Paul is speaking of a relationship with God where you are so absorbed in that relation with God that you do not even think of self, but all your thoughts are of God.

9  But ye are not into self, but into the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10  And if Christ be in you, you are dead to self because of sin's hold on self; but the Spirit is life because of right-wise-ness.

Now this righteousness or right-wise-ness that gives us victory over self is having a right wise ness, which is a certain kind of  "knowing", The Greek word for this knowing is  "ginosko", which is an experiential knowledge we receive from having an intimate relationship with God as our Father.

This happens through the new birth, the same as what happened in the virgin Mary.

She received God Life into her womb and it brought forth the Son of God. We receive the Word Seed God life into the womb of our mind and bring forth son of God seed, son of God life.

Brother Branham said in his sermon Spoken Word is the Original Seed 62-0318M P:91 God's Son was His example Seed. And what His Life was when the Spirit poured upon Him after His baptism and the Holy Ghost come upon Him, the very Life that He produced will,  that same watering Spirit of the Holy Ghost will bring forth the same kind of a Life, doing the same thing that He did; if it's the same Seed. Son of God Seed will bring forth a Son of God Seed.

Therefore, Brother Branham said "we bypassed our theophany and came to earth to be tried and tested", but Jesus did not bypass his theophany, and therefore he knew his position in the family and his relationship with His Father. And that is why he lived the life he did.

From his sermon Who is this Melchisedec 65-0221E P:33 Who is this Melchisedec 65-0221E P:32 Brother Branham said, "Now, we see the attribute son of His Spirit have not yet entered into the Word form body, but, a theophany. This body is subject to the Word and earnest, waiting for the earnest change of the body. Now, the different between Him and you as a son... See, He was at the beginning the Word, an "En morphe" body. He came in and lived in that in the Person of Melchisedec. Then later... We never heard no more of Melchisedec, because He became Jesus Christ. Melchisedec was the Priest, but He became Jesus Christ. Now, you bypassed that, because in that form He knowed all things. And you have never been able to know that yet. You come like Adam, like me. You became from the attribute to the flesh to be tempted. But when this life is finished here... "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting." That's where we go; that is the Word. Then we can look back and see what we done. Now, we don't understand it. We have never become the Word; we've just become the flesh-man, not the Word. But...And look clearly, makes it clear you will never be the Word unless you was a thought at the beginning. That proves the predestination of God. See? You can't be the Word 'less you're a thought. You had to be in the thinking first. But you see, in order to stand temptation you had to bypass the theophany; you had to come down here in flesh to be tempted by sin. And then if you sin... "All the Father hath given Me will come to Me, and I'll raise him up at the last days." See, you had to be first. And then you see, He come right down the regular line, from attribute to...

Then brother Branham continues saying in pp 33 "Before the foundation of the world his Name's put on the Lamb's Book of Life. Then from that He become the Word, the theophany, that could appear, disappear; and then He become flesh and returned back again, resurrected that same body in a glorified condition. But you bypassed the theophany and become flesh-man to be tempted by sin. And then "if this earthly tabernacle is dissolved, we have one already waiting." We have not yet the bodies. But look, when this body receives the Spirit of God, the Immortal Life inside of you, it throws this body in subjection to God. Hallelujah."He that's born of God doth not commit sin; he cannot sin." Romans 8:1. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus; they walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." There you are. See, that throws your body subject. You don't have to say, "Oh, if I could just quit drinking, if I could just..." Just get in Christ; it's all gone. See, see? Because your body is subject to the Spirit, it's no more subject to the things of the world; they're dead. They are dead; your sins are buried in baptism; and you are a new creation in Christ. And your body becoming subject to the Spirit, try to live a right kind of life...

And then in P:39 of the same sermon, Who is this Melchisedec 65-0221E Brother Branham said, "Then after you recognize the very Word of God was Eagle Food, then you left the other thing. You've then been formed into the living image of the living God. You heard from your theophany. "If this earthly body be dissolved, we have one waiting."

Now, in moving on with what the Apostle Paul was telling us in Romans 8 we will pick up where we left of and continue to read from verse 11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Now, we know that our mortal body is the one which is capable of dying, or it would not be called our mortal body. So Paul is talking about the quickening power of God-Life in your vessel and the effects it will have in how you conduct your life here on earth once you receive it.

12  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to self, to live after self. 13  For if ye live after self, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of self, ye shall live. 14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

In other words, the unregenerate person can only live for self because there is no higher life than self living in his body. But the born again believer has as brother Branham said, " He has heard from his theophany", and his mortal body has been quickened by the Spirit of God, and his Spirit and soul has been resurrected and his body has been potentially resurrected. And the Apostle Paul calls this quickening to God-Life the Spirit of Adoption.

15  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Then what takes place is that The Spirit of God comes in and takes over your Spirit as the apostle Paul tells us in verse 16.

16  The Spirit (there is only one The Spirit and that is The Spirit of God.)

Notice the apostle Paul's wording here, ...The Spirit (God's Spirit) Itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Now, he does not say it is your spirit that is bearing witness to God's Spirit, but rather it is God's own Spirit that begins to bear witness with our Spirit that indeed we are His children.

Now, you might ask how does God's Spirit bear witness to your spirit?

From his sermon Who is this  59-1122  P:16 brother Branham said, "if you are born of His Spirit you have His nature in you."

And from his sermon, Testimony of a true witness  61-1105  P:72 brother Branham said it is, "a filling of the Holy Spirit, a witness inside of you, bearing record of the resurrection of Christ, and to the Word of God.

So how does God's Spirit in you bear record with your spirit? Because His Spirit in you will lead you to a life worthy of His Life living in you.

Hebrews Chapter 2 part 1 57-0825M P:34 God also... (4th verse)... God also bearing them witness...Watch this. The Lord's bore witnesses. Oh, I am so happy for that. The Lord bore the witness. Look. When Elijah set on the hill, and he said, "If I be a man of God, let the fire fall from heaven and consume you," God bore witness that he was a man of God. God always bears witness. Your life will bear witness. I don't know what your testimony is, but your life speaks so loud, your voice can't be heard. What your living, your every day life will testify what you are. God bears witness. Yes, the Holy Spirit is a Seal, and a seal takes both sides of the paper. They see you standing here and see you when you go away, not only in church but at every day work. You're sealed on both sides: inside and outside. By the joy that you have and by the Life that you live, you're sealed in and outside. But you know you're saved, and the world knows you're saved by the life that you live, for God bears witness. Blessed be His Holy Name.

Brother Branham said in his sermon called Witnesses 54-0303 P:19 "No matter how much you go to church, how well your name is engraved on its stained windows, or what-more, or on its book, it'll never mean nothing to you, until you are a witness of the resurrection of Jesus Christ by the infilling of the power of the Holy Spirit. You are taking somebody else's word. Why, I'd say..."Well, Brother Branham, I know that Jesus is the Christ, 'cause the Bible said so." The Bible is right, but what do you know about it? See? It's an individual affair with every individual. It must be a personal witness that every person must have in order to know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, is when His Spirit bears record with your spirit, in the Spirit of the new birth, borned again and you cry, "Abba, Father."

17  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Then Paul goes on to say in the For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

So this manifestation of the sons of God has to do with the glory of God which is the doxa of God being revealed in us. And we know this word doxa means the opinion assessment or judgment of God.

Thus “the manifestation of the sons of God” has to do with this same “Glory” which was in Christ coming into or being revealed in the Sons of God as well. In other words, the very mind of God coming into the Sons of God.

Now, here is where I want us to se and understand concerning this manifestation of the sons of God. The word manifestation is what chills so many people, that they are afraid to look at it. But what does this word manifestation mean?

Just because so many people have their own ideas of what this manifestation is should not scare us from searching the truth of it. Some people look at this word manifestation and they think it will be the sons of God doing super duper feats of supernatural. But if we have the mind of Christ, then we could never go by what we think it something is but rather we must always say what God says it is.

This word manifestation is translated from the Greek word Apakolupsis which means a disclosure:--an appearing, or manifestation, in other words to be revealed, revelation.

So it is not about great big super duper miracles being done, but simply a manifestation of a revelation. The Revelation is the same one Jesus had, that He is Son of God, and when the sons receive that revelation it brings God Life into the believer to live the Word of God.

The Apostle Paul said in Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I am living; (I am dead yet I am alive) yet it is not I that am alive, but Christ who is alive in me: and the life which I now live in myself, the body of this death, I am living by the faith (and faith is a revelation, so he says I am living by the revelation) of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Now, when you have this same revelation that Jesus the son of God had, and that revelation has been quickened in you that you are indeed a son of God, Then it is no longer you that is living but Christ is now living your life for you. And that is the manifestation or the revelation of the sons of God.

In order to understand sons of God and how they manifest, we must first understand the Son of God and how he manifested as The son of God.

Then in order to understand what the manifestation of the sons of God is supposed to be, we must ask the question, “What was the manifestation of the Son of God?"

How did he manifest Himself to be "The Son of God." Did He manifest His Sonship by doing miracles and supernatural exploits? Or did he manifest Himself to be God’s Only begotten Son in another way? What did He do to manifest that He was God’s Son? Was it signs and wonders? No, that can’t be it, because Jesus himself told us Matthew 7: 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Therefore it is not the ability to prophesy, and it is not the ability to do wonderful works which are miracles and such, and it is not the ability to cast out devils. Then what did the Son of God do to manifest Himself to be the Son of God?

This same Apostle Paul who said all creation is waiting for the sons of God to manifest also told us in Hebrews 5:8 how Jesus the Son of God manifested His Sonship. He said,  "Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;" God required from His Son obedience before he would adopt Him as His firstborn  son.

From the sermon Patriarch Abraham the 64-0207 P:2 Brother Branham said, What a promise because of obedience. Obedience is what God wants. It was once said, "Obedience is better than sacrifice." To obey the Lord is better than any sacrifice that

you could do.

And what did God require more than anything else in a son?  Obedience.

And Jesus manifested complete obedience to the Father.

Hear ye Him 57-0519A P:40 Now, watch. God never did anything 'less He asked man to do, but what He did Himself. His Son, when He was born here on earth, He was an obedient Son. Every step was for the Father. Everything He done was to glorify God. And we seen God in Christ. Is that right? "No man has seen the Father at any time, but the only begotten of the Son has declared Him." The very move, the very action, everything that Christ did was God working in Him. You get it now? Now, watch what takes place. Then God takes His Son after a long life, just before Calvary, and He taken Him up on a high mountain in a public place. He brought the heavenly witnesses down. He brought the earthly witnesses up. And there God took His Son, and when they looked up, they saw a cloud that overshadowed them. And a... Jesus' raiment shined like the sun in the midst of the day. What was it? God put a robe on Him, just like the old adoption said. He robed Him in a glorified condition. No wonder He said, "All powers in heavens and earth is given to My hands." He robed Him and He placed Him. And then He said, "This is My beloved Son; hear ye Him." Then He had the powers of heavens and earth was given unto His hands.

We see this obedience in the life of Jesus Christ the first born son of God in John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

We see it again in John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

In fact Jesus said in John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him

that sent me, and to finish his work. My meat is to do the will of Him, My Father that sent me. My meat. My very nourishment, my source of energy is to do the will of my Father. Here is a man that lived to be obedient to his Father. That is the commandment

of all children, to obey their father and mother.

Colossians 3: 20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Ephesians 6: 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy

father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

And what does it means to honour thy Father and Mother? The Word honour means to fix a high value. Therefore what they tell you to do should be regarded as very valuable information. Most parents don’t tell their children to do or not do things just because they like to give that Child a hard time. That sort of person would be sick mentally. But most parents want the best for their children even though the children think they know best. But that parent that has the best intentions for their children will give them advice based on their years of experience, and accrued knowledge so the child can avoid the rocky roads the parent might have gone through themselves.

And children are promise that if they listen to their parents advice they will live long.

Deuteronomy 5: 16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath

commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in

the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Exodus 20: 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the

land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Therefore I can say with scriptural assurance that obedience is the only sure manifestation that a child is truly a son of God. Just look at the evidence in the first born Son of God himself. Look at what he said is evidence that he loved His Father.

John 14: 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; as the Father gave

me commandment, even so I do.

John 12: 49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me

a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his

commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said

unto me, so I speak.

So you see Jesus did nothing and said nothing until His Father God showed him what to do and what to say.

From his sermon Hear ye Him 57-0519A P:40 brother Branham said,  "Now, watch. God never did anything 'less He asked man to do, but what He did Himself. His Son, when He was born here on earth, He was an obedient Son. Every step was for the Father. Everything He done was to glorify God. And we seen God in Christ. Is that right? "No man has seen the Father at any time, but the only begotten of the Son has declared Him." The very move, the very action everything that Christ did was God working in Him. And Jesus' raiment shined like the sun in the midst of the day.

Therefore we can see that the most important attribute a son of God can manifest is his obedience to The Father.

Super sign 59-1227M P:49 Someone, as I have said before, wants to make Him a little short God. He was man; God was using a man. God was using a flesh that He created Himself in order to create through Him and to "Bring through Him many sons," says the Scripture, "through that obedient Son. Through one son all fell; through an obedient Son all shall live that believe." God with us, a sign, said that would be a sign.

Jesus so loved to refer to Himself as Son of man, man Himself, just a man, "I am nothing; the Son can do nothing in Himself." But it's the Father was in Him, the Immanuel, that God, the baby, God, Jehovah God, that little baby cried, that was Jehovah. Did you see it? God living in a baby. God living in a teenage. What type of a teenager was He? He set the example. When He was lost by His father and His mother, they looked about to find Him, and they found Him in the temple, What did He say, as a teenager? "Know you not? Wist thou not that I must be about My Father's business?" Example for teenagers.

Therefore in the Old Testament, in order to adopt or place your child as a true son and therefore your heir, the only evidence necessary to the father in order to adopt his child and place Him as a son was that the son was to be obedient and about his father’s business. It mattered not how much talent the child may have had or may not have had. It didn't matter what their looks were. It mattered not to the Father how much education His son had. All that mattered was that the son was always about the fathers business and that he was an obedient son.

In the message Hear Ye Him, brother Branham talks about the Old Testament tradition of adoption and said, …

Hear ye Him 57-0807 P:25 Now, if that boy is no good, yet he's a son; he's never nothing but a son because he's born a son. But if he is not obedient and the right kind of a son, he just continues a son on out without any reward. But if that is an obedient son according to the Scriptures, then there is an adoption of that son, or the placing of that son. And then after he gets a certain age, he's taken out into a public place. And there there's the great ceremony made, out before the public. And this son is set up on a high place and there is a ceremony of adoption. Think of it now. The father adopts his own son into his family. And then after that, that son's name's just as good on a check as his dad's. It's a public ceremony, and they're all out there, and they see this father positionally place that son.

And again from another time brother Branham preached this same sermon called Hear ye Him 59-0424E P:40 brother Branham said, "But then what if the son still won't obey. That son, though he is a son... We can't say that he's not a son, but he will never have any inheritance. That father says that he won't listen: "He won't obey; I can't put trust in him; I'll just have to let him go. He's always a son." Now, if you're a born of the Spirit of God... I have to stay with that, because you're a son of God. But if you... You lose all the glory. Then what if this son is a good son, an obedient son. Oh, how he loves the father. How the tutor would like to say, "Oh, dad, I'll tell you what. You know that boy of yours, he's a chip off the old block. I'm telling you; he's just about your business just as... Why, he take care of it as good as you can right now." How the father swells up. "Oh, sure, that's my boy." That's the way I want Him to think about us. That's the way  We want to follow the instructions of this Word, live by It, preach by It, die by It. That's what God wants us to do.

So you see obedience is the key to manifesting as a true son of God and becoming an heir of the Father. And let’s face it, what good does it do you to be a son but you are not adopted and given inheritance. What good is it to be a son that is not  acknowledged by His Father that he is a son and not given inheritance from the father?

Therefore the apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (In other words as He is so are we in this world.) 17  And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

And in 2 Corinthians 10:5 The Apostle Paul said, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

And again the Apostle Paul said in, Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Romans 5: 19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Why? Because Jesus Christ The Son of God was God's example seed.

Brother Branham said in his sermon The Masterpiece 64-0705 109 As it taken Him four thousand years to make this Masterpiece, (He’s talking about Jesus the first born son here) now He's been for nearly two thousand years making another Masterpiece: a Bride for Christ, another Masterpiece.

Notice, Brother Branham is speaking here of God taking four thousand years to bring forth his first Masterpiece, and that was Jesus His only begotten as an obedient Son, and now it is taking God only two thousand years to bring forth another Masterpiece which is being fashioned into the very image of the Eldest Son. That is what Paul taught us in Hebrews first and then in Romans chapter 8.

Notice in Hebrews 1 Paul tells us how that Christ came forth in the image of God.

Hebrews 1: 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Now, notice that Jesus came forth in the image of God but it took God four thousand years to bring Him forth in His image.

But now we see in Romans 8: 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Jesus brought forth in the Image of God and we are conformed into the image of The

Son of God, the eldest brother in a vast family of brethren.

And then brother Branham continues in The Masterpiece 64-0705 109 As it taken Him four thousand years to make this Masterpiece, now He's been for nearly two thousand years making another Masterpiece: a Bride for Christ, another Masterpiece. In so doing it, He does it by His never-changing method, the same way He made the Masterpiece: His Word. That's the way He makes His masterpieces. Because it can only be a perfect masterpiece when it's the perfect Word.

Spoken word original seed 62-0318M P:91 Then the works will be manifested in Him are the same, for it is the same Seed Word of God. God's Son was His example Seed. And what His Life was when the Spirit poured upon Him after His baptism and the Holy Ghost come upon Him, the very Life that He produced will--that same watering Spirit of the Holy Ghost will bring forth the same kind of a Life, doing the same thing that He did; if it's the same Seed. Son of God Seed will bring forth a Son of God Seed.

Hear ye Him 56-0611 P:28 He took him into a place, and there he adopted him into his family, or as a special time when he set him apart. The church ought to be that way tonight, an Angel come to you, set you apart and tell you your position, where you're at. Not a bunch of men to lay hands on you, that's earthly. I mean God; God sets you apart in a place where you belong. God does it; your Tutor does it. He's present when it takes place. Now, notice, God was doing here just exactly like He asked man to do. His Son had been obedient, he had minded the father. He hadn't be gadding about in places and say, "You see who I am? My campaign's the biggest there is in the country. Yes, sir."He'd been obedient. He'd been obedient to the Father. He hadn't been gadding around the things of the world, associating with them; he'd been obedient. And God took witnesses of the earth, Peter, James, and John, brought down Elijah and a Moses from heaven, and stood them there, and adopted His own Son. He was glorified in the presence of these witnesses. And God came down and overshadowed Him. And the Bible said "His garments glistened like the sun." You see the robe, the glorification of Him? He put Him on a robe before the witness of heaven, 'fore the witnesses of earth.

And in closing from brother Branham sermon Easter seal 65-0410 P:35 God's Word, as Jesus, was born the Son of God to be Emmanuel, God's full expression in a Man... And He found Him in perfect obedience down at the river of Jordan, being baptized by that prophet. And as soon as He obeyed Him and walked out of the water, the heavens opened to John, and he saw the Holy Ghost descending from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son." See, perfect obedience, the Spirit had sought Him out in obedience. Oh, wayward man or woman this morning, when you're setting here and there's something in you telling you this is right, it's the Holy Spirit seeking you out to bring you to a knowledge of truth of this hour that we're now living: not some hour that's gone by, the hour now.

Let us pray...
