Romans #3

(Romans 1:3-4 Declared to be the Son of God)

Thus far in our study  of the Book of Romans we have learned that Paul considered himself first of all to be a servant of Christ, and in explaining in more detail what his assignment is, he described this assignment as one who is sent, which is an apostle. He then let’s us know immediately that in order to carry out his assignment as one who has been called and sent by Christ, he must also be separated unto the Gospel of God.  [Romans 1:1] Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

we first of all saw in our study what it means to be a servant in counter distinction to being a slave. Next we found that the specific service Paul was called to was to do the work of an Apostle which is One who has been sent, and thus letting us know that the One Who sent Him is Christ Himself.  We looked further into what it takes to be called and sent by God when Paul also declared in the same breathe that he was also separated unto the Gospel of God.

Last week we examined this point of separation as to it’s implications in the calling of every Christian son or daughter of God and we heard Brother Branham say, E-64  Faithful Abraham God wants separators. Now, the people wants mixers. Oh, my. Today they got to have a little Hollywood guy, you know, and, you know, and all this, and there has got a lot of flowers, and just color up. They don't want the old fashion preacher that lays it right on the hewing line. They won't have it. He's a fanatic. He's a holy-roller. That's what they want. They want mixers, somebody that'll go swimming with them, and somebody will play bunco with them, and somebody will go to dances, and not fanatics. See, they don't want that. But God wants separators. Separate yourself. The very word "church" means, "separated, called out." "Come out from among them," saith God, "and I'll receive you and touch not their unclean thing.  Separators... Oh, Christians. Separate yourself from everything of the world, brother, sister. Get away from the things of the world: separate.

Then what about the smoothy that won’t rake the church over the coals? I’d like to ask the question why not? Paul spoke of them in 2 Cor 11 when he called them those super apostles, and contrasted them to his own crude way of getting the message across to the people. And from E-70  Uncertain Sound 62-0714  He spoke of this. Listen what He said too, in II Timothy. He said, "These would be the sort that would go from house to house, and lead silly women, led away with divers lusts, never learning, never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, laden with sin (lust). Want to pattern after some movie star, some television program you stayed home from prayer meeting to watch, making that your example.  Half the kids can tell you more about Davy Crockett than they can about Jesus Christ. Go downtown, and you can buy anything from David Crockett, but you hardly hear the Name of Jesus Christ mentioned. Oh, it's a shame. I know you think I'm crazy, but some of these days at the judgment bar when I stand there by your side, you're going to find different. Now's the time. Don't wait till there. It'll be too late. Judge it with the Word, see if it's the right. Then you'll know. Intellectual--they don't want somebody to really stand up and pull the Scripture out and show it. They want somebody that's trained to bypass It. They don't want to know that. Oh, they just can't stand that.  Fish and loaves is fine. But Jesus done the same thing. What a wonderful prophet. The little prophet of Galilee was healing the sick, and He was a great man. But one day He set down and begin to pour the truth to them. The whole group walked up and left Him. Even the seventy went, and He turned to the twelve and said, "Do you want to go too?"  That's when Peter made those notable words, and said, "Lord, where would we go?" Certainly. Then He begin from that very hour... Long as He was healing the sick, it was fine. But when He went to interfering with their individual life, then that said something different. From right there His ministry begin to diminish, right on to the cross. And every true servant of God will follow the same example. Certainly, the people wants patted and played with. But when it comes to truth, they don't want it. Now, remember, these are tapes going around the world. All right. Education: I'll say this, that education has been one of the most damnable things that the Gospel's ever received. And today education is a must. That's right. You must have it. Look at Cain's children at the beginning. Cain's children were smart, scientists, and could temper-metal, build buildings, so forth. They were scientists. But Seth's children were humble sheepherders and so forth. That's right. Jesus said the children of the world, of the night, are more brighter, more smarter than the children of the day. Jesus said so.

Romans #3

And yet, we put so much upon that intellectual.  Some man can say "Ah-men" just right, some man with a Hollywood hair cut, or something or other. He talks so cute... Mixed bathing, goes out, and have everything, bunco parties in the church, and little social parties. And make them vote back for your pastor.  Paul said He wanted separators. God told Paul... "Separate Me, Paul and Barnabas." Today they want mixers, let them get by with anything they want to. But God wants separators. That's right. It's not easy to do, but yet, it's fulfilling what God requires.

[Romans 1:1] Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called [to be] an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

Last week we spoke about this promise which was afore or before handed down by the Prophets of  old. Now the thing we see here is that these promises of God came even before man ever existed in this earth and this is a good thing, for had these promises come only after man was around, then man could think that somehow they were responsible for their coming. But to let man know that none of the promises of God has anything to do with mans abilities, God made these promises before the world ever was formed.

[Isaiah 48:5 & Titus 1:2] The prophets were then only a witness to what God had already declared. [Amos 3:7] They themselves did not add to these promises, nor did they take away from them. But they only said what God himself had already said and that is why they came forth with “Thus Saith the Lord.”

God’s plan of redemption and salvation and even the fact that He promised an end-time salvation or deliverance was not left up to whether or not you or I would receive it, but to show you that God has already thought out every detail, He told of what He would do in the heavens even before the world was framed.  Now, just think of that. This Great Message which is the Revealing of Christ was foreshadowed in the heavens millions of years ago, and we are now  receiving what had already been spoken by God before he created the worlds.

We know the first Bible was written in the heavens, then in the Great Pyramid by Enoch and finally in the form of the written word. 51-3  Future Home  64-0802 God's first Bible was in the skies, the Zodiac. It starts off and runs every age. The first, beginning of the Zodiac is the virgin. That's how He come first. The last figure in the Zodiac is Leo the Lion, the second coming. Just before there is the cross fishes, which is the cancer age, that we're living in now.  There was a pyramid after that (Enoch) which testified exactly (We wouldn't have time to go into it, but someday by God's help I'll show you.), just exactly draws the dimension of the hour we're living. See?

20  Adoption or Placing 60-0522E   How many ever studied the history of the pyramids? I guess maybe one lady here raised her hand. All right.  God wrote three Bibles. One of them was the Zodiac in the skies. That's the first Bible. Man was to look up to realize that God is from above. Follow the Zodiac; did you ever study it? It even gives every age, even the cancer age. It gives the beginning, the birth of Christ. What is the first figure in the Zodiac? The virgin. What's the last figure? Leo the lion. The first coming and the second coming of Christ, all of it is written in there.  Then the next Bible was written, was in stone, called pyramid. God wrote in the pyramids. If you study them, watch the ancient histories and wars, how they were built before the antediluvian destruction.  And of course we know that God finally wrote the Bible in a book form.

Now the point I am making here is that God had it all planned out before the world was ever framed, before he hung the first star millions and possibly even billions of years ago. And it was all written down to speak of the climax of Gods plan of salvation in this hour. And since this Message was brought forth by the descent of God Himself and you and I have been called to be a partaker of this great declaration, then you and I have also got to be mentioned in the stars and in the pyramid as well. And just think of that, Every detail, every trial, every overcoming, every stimulation that comes forth from this Great Revelation was planned out in exquisite detail long before the world was ever put into motion. That ought to tell us one thing, and that is this.

If every detail of God’s great plan of redemption has been well thought out and 99.999% of it has already taken place right on time with God’s schedule, then it ought to cause us to have complete trust and thus rest knowing that God has already set the whole plan in motion and we can not help but to be caught up into that plan which we are a part of by election, predestination, and foreknowledge.

Romans #3

That is why Paul tells us in Romans 8 that every thing is well under control. [Romans 8:13-39] Read

Now, this morning I would like to continue with our study of the Book of Romans, and with this in mind let’s read from verse 3.

[Romans 1:3] Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;  I want you to notice here that this statement that Paul makes here is one which speaks of the incarnate son after the flesh. Now, any person who reads this verse with any amount of intelligence will tell you that Paul is speaking of God who had a Son. He distinguished between the Father and Son, and tells us further that this son who came in the flesh came by the seed or lineage of David.  This word concerning that Paul uses is a word which means, as touching upon, and therefore being that Paul uses such a word it is because he has already introduced this Jesus to us as the One He is a servant to and called by to be an apostle. In this verse he further delineates the way in which this Son of God came forth in the flesh.

Now, I want you to notice carefully that in verse 4 we are told, not that he is made, oh no, but that He is declared to be the Son of God, whereas in verse 3 we are told that He is made of the seed of David. [Romans 1:3] Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;  Romans 1:4 And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

[Romans 11:36 &v Hebrews 2:10 & Ephesians 3:9] Now, in [Romans 1:3-4], I believe that Paul is laying out for us the fact that this one in whom God created all things by and for, is the same one who took on a veil of flesh and incarnated that body which was made after the lineage of David. He is not telling us that the Son of God is a created being, but that the body that He chose to indwell did come forth in the same line of seed that David came forth from. Which is only right if in fact David was a Son of Abraham and Abraham was a son of Adam and Adam was a Son of God. Therefore, we read that although he was not made the Son of God, he was declared to be the Son of God. Therefore, in the one sense we are looking at the difference between the son of God and the son of Man. The Son of Man shows definitely that there must be this same Spirit of Sonship but in a body of flesh in contrast to the Sonship of God which is in the spirit.

Therefore, even though He was already the Son of God before he came into flesh, yet He could not have been known to man as the Son of God and therefore, it was this coming into flesh that He was able to make Himself known as to His Relationship with the Father. And this making known what was previously unknown is what Paul speaks about in [Ephesians 3:9]. Until The Son of God came into flesh, he was not and could not have been fully known and revealed to men. Nor could His Relationship with the Father have been known. But when He came forth and acted out His Submission to the will of the Father, and when He said, “I can of Mine own self do nothing, but that which the Son seeth the Father do, the Son doeth likewise.”  [John 5:19] And then when we observed the actions of the Son, we began for the first time to understand the relationship between the Father and His Son. Until then we only understood that there is but one God.

Now, the trinitarian will press this issue of their being two to making it three which is absolutely wrong, but and since they see two they then try to make this two as tow separates Gods, but they say somehow he is one God. Now, catch the key words which Paul uses in expressing the relationship of the Son of God to the Father. He says, Concerning his Son (Whose Son? Gods Son)  Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;   And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, (the Holy Spirit)  by the resurrection from the dead:

Now, notice that Paul says, He, this Son of God was declared to be what He was by Power according to Holiness and by the resurrection out from among the dead. In other words, He tells us that this declaration could not have been made known without the manifestation of the Spirit working through a body which body was raised from the dead, showing that the Spirit that was in that body was greater than the body itself and therefore not subject to the body, but rather to God who alone can raise the dead.   Therefore what I would like to draw from this is that Paul is telling us that in order for the Son of God to declare Himself, there must be a manifestation of His resurrected Being among us.

Romans #3

Now, that brings us up to this hour when Brother Branham repeatedly tells us, “My ministry is to something, and what is that something? He said, “My ministry is to declare Him, that He is here!” Now, this is not some figment that he is declaring, but it is the same one Paul speaks of, none other than the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ. Now the word declare means to make known, and Paul tells us that it would have been impossible for the Son of God to have been made know as long as He had been in Spirit form, but once e came in the flesh, it was He that let us know that He had a relationship with the Father from the beginning of the world, or even before the beginning of the World. We would never have known this except that Jesus, Gods Son came into a body of flesh and manifested Himself to be different from the Father because He said, “I have come to do thy will oh God.” Now, if Jesus and God had been the same person, then why would the Son declare that of His own He could do nothing, but first He had to be shown from the Father what to do before He could perform that which was first thought forth by the Father.

So we see that in order to have the Son declared, He had to manifest Himself in a body of Flesh. And Paul is speaking by experience that He had met the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ and as a result He knew first hand of this relationship between the Father and His Son. Now, I want you to notice carefully how that the declaration of the Son would be impossible without the resurrected Spirit of the Son back in a body. And that is what I believe we have witnessed for ourselves in this hour. That is why we can see the revelation of the Son of Man because we know that the same Lord Jesus has come back to earth and indwelled a body, His Prophet to once again manifest the same characteristics before man that through this expression He might declare once again His Relationship with the Father, and thus what our relationship with the Father should be. Notice how brother Branham would always say, “Now, you know who I’m waiting for, I’m waiting for Him, for without Him I am just as helpless as a little baby.”

Now isn’t this the same expression as we saw in the Flesh of Jesus Christ the Son of Man? Then is it is so, then can we expect Him to perform any differently if He manifested Himself in this day in another body? I don’t think so. In Fact If Jesus Christ is the Same yesterday, today and forever, then He would have to perform exactly the same way as He did back in His Alpha Ministry. That is why we hear brother Branham’s voice and yet we hear that voice say, “I’m the Lord that raised up Christ from the grave. I’m the One that sent the Holy Ghost. I’m the One Who give the promise. Billy Branham has nothing to do with this. He’s surrendered his life to me. I’m using his spirit, I’m talking through His lips, that’s Me I am the Lord.”  And again we heard brother Branham tell us, “He wants to borrow my body to prove that He’s the resurrected Christ. I’m so happy to loan it to Him, give it to Him, anything He can get out of it. I can’t see visions, He’s the One Who speaks. It is just my body that He is using.” And again those most famous words from the Anointed Ones at the End-Time, “Now, I want you to know this is sure. And to you that listen to this tape, you might have thought today that I was trying to say that about myself being that I was packing this Message. I have no more to do with it than nothing, no more than just a voice. And my voice, even against my better judgment...I wanted to be a trapper. But it’s the will of my Father that I DECLARE to do, and am determined to do. I wasn’t the One Who Appeared down on the river; I was only standing their when He Appeared. I’m not the One that performs these things and foretells these things as perfect as they are, I’m only one that’s near when He does it. I was only a voice that He used to say it. It wasn’t what I knew, it’s what I just surrendered myself to, that He spoke through. It isn’t me. It wasn’t the seventh angel, oh no. It was a manifestation of The Son of Man. It wasn’t the angel, his message, it was the mystery that God unfolded. It’s not a man; It’s God. The angel was not the Son of Man, he was a messenger from the Son of Man. The Son of Man is Christ. He’s the One you’re feeding on. You’re not feeding on a man. A man, his words will fail, but you’re feeding on the unfailing Body Word of the Son of Man.

In Paragraph 142  The Rapture  65-1204 we hear this same declaration being said, When you see God come from the heaven, stand before groups of men, and stand there, declare Himself just as He ever did... And that's the Truth, and this Bible open. See? That's right. We're here. I hope this morning that you can see the importance of this end-time Appearing of Jesus Christ among us and how He had to use a body to manifest the same Spirit, in order to show forth or express the same relationship with the father, in order for the God-Head to be fully declared and thus understood. For without it, He would not be the same yesterday, today and forever, and therefore the Great mysteries could not have been made known.
