Romans 24
He Has Come to His Bride

ROMANS 4:4
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of
debt. ( In other words, if you
can work for it, then whatever work you do God would be accruing a debt and He
would owe you for that work.) Therefore, 4:5 to him that worketh not, but believeth
on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith (revelation) is counted for righteousness. 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto
whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
4:7 [Saying], Blessed [are] they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are
covered. 4:8 Blessed [is] the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. (Now, this does not say that you don’t
sin, nor does it say that God doesn’t know you have sinned, But it says He just
won’t give you any credit for sin. He doesn’t charge it to your account at
all.) That’s justification. It’s as though you never did do it. 4:9
¶ [Cometh] this blessedness then upon the circumcision [only], or upon the
uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for
righteousness. 4:10 How
was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? (NO!) Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. (In other words, even before Abraham had done one thing for God, He
received the promise from God. Therefore, after that point anything Abraham did
in response to God’s promise was not in repayment, but in gratitude...Because
He was grateful to God...) 4:11 And
he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith
which [he had yet] being uncircumcised: that he might be the
father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that
righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
4:12 And the father of circumcision
to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of
that faith of our father Abraham, which [he had] being [yet]
uncircumcised. 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir
of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but
through the righteousness of faith. 4:14 For if they which are of the law [be] heirs,
faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: 4:15
Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, [there is] no
transgression. 4:16
Therefore [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the
promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law,
but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Let us
pray.....
Now, this
evening I would like to take our text from verses 13 & 14 of Romans 4...
[Romans 4:13] For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham,
or to his seed, through the law, but through
the righteousness of faith. 14 For if they which are of the law [be] heirs,
faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

HEBREWS CHAPTER 6 57-0908E For if the... for if inheritance be of the
law, it is no more of the promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Not by nothing you do, not by any laws, any
laws of your church, by joining church, or any other law; it's absolutely a
grace act of God to you. There you are. Watch.

RETURN AND JUBILEE 62-1122 The
church now is like Israel. The church is like Israel when it come up out of
Egypt. When Israel was down there in Egypt, God by His marvelous grace, without
any organization or anything else, He called Israel to His health. He called
them to their inheritance. He... Grace furnished them a prophet. Grace give
them a Pillar of Fire. Grace give them a lamb, sacrificial lamb. Grace give
them power. Grace give them deliverance. Grace give them victory. Grace give
them all these things. And they danced in the Spirit, and shouted, and praised
God about it. And little did they know
when they were dancing on the banks of the Jordan there, or the Dead Sea, that
they were forty years away from the land. They was only about five days away,
but they made their rashal mistake in Exodus the 19th chapter where they
accepted law instead of grace, where they turned down God's way to have a way
for theirselves. "Give us something to do." That's been man's idea
all along.
[HEB 6:17-20] Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed
[it] by an oath: 18 That
by two immutable things, in which [it was] impossible for God to lie, we might
have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope
set before us: 19 Which [hope] we have as an anchor of the
soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the
veil; 20 Whither the forerunner is
for us entered, [even] Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of
Melchisedec.
[HEB 6:16-18] AMPLIFIED Men indeed swear by a greater one than
themselves and with them in all disputes the oath taken for confirmation is
final, - ending strife. Accordingly, God also, in His desire in His desire to
show more convincingly and beyond doubt, to those who were to inherit the
promise, the unchangeabileness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated)
with an oath. This was so that by two unchangeable things { His promise(1) and His
oath(2), in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive
us, we who have fled [to Him} for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength
and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and
set before us. Now we have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul
- it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it - {a
hope} that reaches farther and enters into {the very certainty of the Presence}
within the veil. 20 Where Jesus has entered in for us {in
advance}, a forerunner having become a High Priest forever, after the order {or
with the same rank} as Melchisedec. [Lev

ROMANS 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that
we may be also glorified together.
MATTHEW 5:5 Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
There are three
major points that must be examined concerning the law of inheritance.
Point #1)
The first and most important point that we will look at tonight is
that there must first be a will. The will shows the purpose and plan of the one
who is leaving behind their possessions. It is called a last will and testament
because by using the term will, it indicates the persons desire, their purpose
and their plan for the distribution of their possessions and since Inheritance
has to do with heritage and the handing down of that heritage to someone who
can be trusted to keep the heritage alive and well. Someone who will respect
what has been left to them. The inheritance also has to have an important
element in that the possessions are to be handed down usually to the seed of
the one whose they originally belonged to. It is the handing down of something
considered valuable, such as land, house, or jewels. But the most important
point, and #1 that we are looking at here is that there must first be a will
which is a purpose and plan which we find in [EPH 1:3-5, 11]
Now, just any
seed will not do. According to Bible custom, the seed must first be trained and
tested, and approved via adoption before they may inherit. [GAL
4:1-7, 30-31]

WHERE I THINK PENTECOST FAILED 55-1111 Oh, my. I feel religious right
now. I really do. Oh, I just love it. It's the Word, it's real good. It bathes
your soul. Notice, the 5th verse:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of sons by Christ Jesus. There's a great story here of the adoption or
placing. Now, my Pentecostal brethren, you may disagree with this, but I want
you to listen real close now these next ten, fifteen minutes. I want to ask you something, and you Bible
scholars. In the Old Testament there was a law of adopting or placing a son.
You know that, how the Book of Galatians, and so forth, how the tutor raised
the child. What happened, a father had
born into his house a child, a boy, and he was a son when he was born. But he
was given a tutor. And this tutor raised the child and brought word to the
father, all the time, how the child was progressing. And after the child become
a certain age, if he had been a worthy child, if he had absolutely been all
right... if he had not, then there was certain things that had to take place.
And if he was unworthy, yet he was a son, he wasn't given any inheritance of his
father. But if he was a worthy child,
and had been found worthy, he was taken out into a public place. And this
father... Get it. Here it is; don't miss it. This father of the child... He was
already born in the family (Pentecost exactly, others beside), already born
into the family as a son.
E-34 HEAR YE HIM 60-0806 For when a man owned a great,
big place so nice, big farm, he had many tenants all around over this place.
And he was a busy man; he had to go from place to place. And then when a son
was borned in his house, they didn't have such as we have today, public
schools, and so forth, like this beautiful Eisenhower a-building that we're in
tonight. They didn't have it in those days. They had to hire tutors to raise
their children. Now, when a son was
borned, he was a son as soon as he was born. He was a born son to that home.
But yet, he didn't have any inheritance, until he come to a place that he'd
proved himself a son. And then, when he was proved to be a son, then he was
adopted into the family. And the law of adoption made him equal holder with his
father.
The next point, #2) that we shall examine in reviewing
the law of inheritance has to do with the fact of possessions. Inheritance has to
do with possessions and the lawful distribution of those possessions, to the
lawful seed. [Joshua 1:1-9]

AS I WAS WITH MOSES 51-0503 Joshua, the 1st chapter, 2nd verse beginning. “My servant Moses is dead; now therefore
arise, and go over this Jor--Jordan, thou and all the people, unto the land
which I give unto them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the
sole of your foot shall tread upon, that I have given unto you, as I said unto
Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the
river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea towards
the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. There shall not any man be able
to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will
be with thee. I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (You don't know what that
meant to me when that--this first come to me. It's been my life.) Be strong and of a good courage: for unto
this people shall thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto
their father to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou
mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses My servant commanded
thee: turn not from it to the right hand or the left, that thou mayest prosper
wheresoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth;
but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do
according to all that is written... that thy ways may prosperous, and then thou
shall have good success. Have not I
commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou
dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee wheresoever thou goest. That's the
Scripture that was ringed in my heart when I was sick. It's been something that's
stuck to me since I was converted. I believe it with all my heart that God is
here tonight, and that God is going to do great things.
Now, this
brings us to point #3) Inheritance can not be consummated
until the death of the testator.
[Heb 9:16-28] Even God’s covenant with
Abraham had to be sealed by a death. [Genesis
15:1-9, 17-18]
