Romans 5:5 ¶ And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad
in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet
without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure
for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the
death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Let us pray.......
Now, in examining these
verses of scripture we need to know two things. What is this wrath and when is
it to come. To better understand this scripture and our own condition in this
last hour, we need to ask our selves, “what is this wrath that we are to be saved
from?” It comes from a Greek
word which means anger, but it does not just speak of anger in an emotional
sense, but it speaks of anger that has been let loose in the form of
punishment. Therefore, “an anger that is exhibited or manifested by
means of punishment”.
Now, I would like to examine
this thought tonight and tie it together with what we have been studying
concerning the squeeze and the tribulation that is to come after the squeeze.
As you know, we have been studying the first 5 verses of Romans chapter 5 since
July 5th. And during this time we have
found that God brings forth and builds up our character through suffering. We
have found out that during times of personal tribulations, what is in us
becomes magnified in us and therefore, either Grace will rise to the surface or
the fruits of the flesh. As David said in [Psalm
4:1] “Thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress.” In other words, the trials have only magnified what is in
me. Therefore, we can see that the squeeze also will only magnify what is in us
during this time. Will we believe and be saved, or will we doubt and be
condemned in our unbelief.
Now, there are many who are
falling away at this hour from God and Christ. In fact this is the hour of the
great falling away. [2 Thess 2: 1-3]
We see that this falling
away or departure from the Truth will be one of the identifiers of the end-time
as we see in [1Tim 4:1] And why do
they depart from THE FAITH? Because they can not take the Word. [2 Tim 4: 3-4]
E-24 Former and Latter Rain
60-0303 The coming of the Lord is at hand. The judgments God spoke of, He said the people would get to a place they'd
fall away, gross darkness would cover the earth.
We also see that the great
falling away will come from those in this Message. [Hebrews 6: 3-6] And this will we do, if God permit. 4
For [it is] impossible for those who
were once for all enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were
made companions of the Holy Ghost, 5 And
have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If
they shall fall away, If they deviate from the truth, to renew them again unto
repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put
[him] to an open shame.
E-16 God’s Provided way 53-0613 Moses took God's provided way
when they were down there in Egypt. How they going to get out? It... God kept
hardening Pharaoh's heart. But He said, "Now, I'm going to make a way of
escape, because I'm going to send death over the land." Say, listen, here's something striking.
Watch, plague after plague after plague, but the last plague fell was death, just
before the deliverance. Notice it. How
striking it is today. Jesus said there'll be--perilous times shall come, men's
hearts would fail; how He said they'd be distress between the nations, sea a
roaring, tidal waves that's never been heard of before, bursting forth in the
seas. How that in all these things, signs would be coming to pass. Just like it
was in the days of Noah, it would be again. How marvelous. But remember, the last plague that fell was
death. And the last thing... God has give us warning after warning, warning
after warning. Now, the last thing that's come is death, spiritual death. The
churches are dying spiritually. That's right, friend.
10-1 Discerning the Body
of the Lord 59-0812 The last plague that hit Egypt was death. The
last plague that's hit the church is spiritual death. What we need today is a
spiritual awakening, a spiritual awakening to discernment.
E-22 Speak to this Rock 60-0612 Notice, and when that final and great night
came, God said, "This is My final blow at Egypt. But before I can strike
this blow, I've got to bring My children to protection." And there was a sacrificial lamb killed, and
the blood was put on the post and the lintels of the door, and the congregation
went under the blood. Remember, that was the last plague that struck Egypt. And
the last plague that's striking the church today is the same as that was: a
spiritual death. Because as God led them literally, He leads us spiritually.
And the last blow at the--the enemy is death is striking, and all from under
the blood, is disfellowshiped by the Holy Spirit.
E-59 Only Believe 61-0427
You
remember the last plague hit Egypt? What was the last plague hit Egypt which
was the type of the church going out? Was death. What's the last plague's hit the Pentecostal church? Spiritual death.
It's going right on back like the rest of the world: spiritual death. But the
circumcised with the blood on the door took the homeward march (That's exactly.) with a Pillar of Fire going before them
to lead them away.
313-4 {245} The Fourth Seal 63-0321 Like He give Egypt, He give
Egypt place to repent. What was that last plague? Was death. That's the last plague that's hit the Pentecostal church. It's
spiritual death; she's dead. That's in the Name of the Lord. She's spiritually
dead. He gave her place to repent, and she rejected it; now she's dead.
She'll never rise again.
157 Unveiling of God 64-0614M They spiritually die now. This is the
spiritual veil. See? That was a natural veil. This is spiritual veil. See? They
keep walking right on in behind there; you can tell them. "Oh, I know. I
know that, but I..." Go ahead; it's all right; it only speaks... You
remember, the last plague in Egypt was death, before the exodus. The last
plague on earth is spiritual death before the exodus. Then they'll be cremated
and turned back to the dust, and the righteous will walk out upon their ashes.
But the last thing is spiritual death, rejecting
the Word.
And what are some of the
earmarks of those who have fallen away? They do not honor God’s Word. What
Word? His vindicated Word. And what Word is that? Well for starters, the TEN
COMMANDMENTS, which God vindicated on the Mountain with His Prophet Moses and
His Pillar of Fire showing forth His Presence. People do not believe in keeping
holy God’s Sabbath, or honoring the resurrection of His Son. They are more
caught up in the cares of this world than in preparing their home and their
family for the rapture.
E-21 Mighty Conqueror 57-0808 Here not long ago during the depression, it was easy to find people at a prayer
meeting. But now that they can work in the defense plants, and the union
gives them so much money that they hardly know what to do with, you have to
almost persuade them to a meeting. They got all... The people doesn't want
preaching any more. You get somebody to come up here and act a clown, and this
auditorium would pack out the first night. Or somebody come up here and jingle
a few things, and run up-and-down a platform, and scream a few times, turn a
handspring or two... The people wants entertainment and not the Gospel. Brother, when it comes to the place that I
have to substitute something else for the Gospel, I'll close the Bible and go
home. Right. When the precious Blood of Jesus Christ preached in Its power
don't attract the people, they're dead.
Now we are talking about
verse 9 Much more then, being now justified by his
blood, we shall be saved from wrath
through him. 10 For
if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
To better understand this
scripture and our own condition in this last hour, we need to ask our selves, “what

Therefore, we must ask
ourselves, what is this wrath that Paul speaks of here, and why does this wrath
come. we know that the wrath is the anger of God in manifestation through punishment. And why does God manifest
His anger? For turning down His Word.
Now, I want you to see who God does this.
[2 Peter 2:9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of
temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
[Matthew 16:27]

[Rev 22:12]
100 Jezebel religion 61-0319 When God sends forth a message and tells the
people, and they don't receive it, then He withdraws His servant and sends His plagues: famine, death, spiritually
speaking, physically also. You watch for a depression, brother. You think
you've seen something; you just wait after while. You haven't seen nothing.
You think you're dying for a good spiritual revival; you wait till after a bit.
You just wait, long and cry to hear the Word of God. The Bible said so.
"There'll be a famine in the last days," said the prophet, "and not for bread and water alone,
but for hearing the true Word of God." But that voice will be quiet in the
wilderness somewhere, hid away. He
ordained the ravens, His servants. Bless them birds, His servants, that kept
the voice of--of Elijah alive during the time of his--his isolation from the
church.
87-4 Hebrews Chapter 3 57- America doesn't want the Gospel (You know that.); we just might as
well admit that. This Anglo-Saxon people is finished; that's all. There's no
more Gospel that America will receive. Oh, you get a few stragglings now and
then; but just as the Gospel, it's over. And you can't even preach to them,
can't talk to them. They won't believe nothing. See? They just got their own
hardheaded ideas, and they're set, and
the next thing's for this nation is judgment. She's going to have it too. It may be through depression; it may
be through an atomic bomb; it may be
through a great plague, a disease or
something; but she's ready. It's a-coming; thousands times thousands will fall.
126-5 {65} The First Seal -0318
And then
God takes His messenger with the elect of that age, and lays them away asleep,
and then He drops a plague upon them who
rejected it: a temporary judgment. And then, after that is over, then he
goes on, and they denominate, and bring in denominations, and start off with
that man's work like of--of Wesley and all the rest of them, and then it gets
all in a scrapple again; and then another mystery comes forth. Then what
happens? Another messenger arrives on earth for a church age. See? Then when he arrives, the trumpet sounds. He
declares war. See? And then what happens? Finally then he's caught away. And
then when he's laid away, then plague
falls destroys them. Spiritual death hits the church and she's gone, that group.
Then He goes on to another one. Oh,
it's a great plan until it comes to that last angel. Now, he has no certain
mystery, but he gathers up all that's been lost in them other ages, all the
truths that wasn't truly revealed yet (See?), as the revelation come. Then he
reveals those things in his day. If you want to read it, there it is: A
Revelations 10:1 to--1 to about 4. You'll get it. All right. See?
E-37 Making a way 56-0304 Now, we've come to the place again where the judgments are piling up.
And if that day in the antediluvian, how much more of today, when the ending of
the history of time, when the ending of history of the nations, and the--with
coming to a climax, how much more is the
wrath of God upon millions of more people,...
E-29 Led by the Spirit of God
56-0723 And He said, "As it
was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the coming of the Son of man."
The judgments is bound to strike, for man had continually to get evil. All
their thoughts was evil. They had all kinds of devicities like we got today,
really a smarter people than we are today. They built the pyramid, and sphinx,
and many of those things there that our modern machinery couldn't touch. We
couldn't no wise touch it. They must've had a controlled atom power.
Gasoline power, electrical power, would never lift those boulders and build
such as the pyramid. They weigh hundreds of tons, and setting away in the air,
almost about a city block high mostly. And how did they ever get them up there?
That's the mystery, and so perfect mason till a razor blade couldn't go between
them: honed down. They are masterpieces, mastermind.
E-46 It wasn’t so from the Beginning
61-0411 Well, that's exactly what the Bible said, "As it was in the
days of Sodom, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man." God cannot
pour out His Spirit upon a just people and be just; they have to get in this condition for the judgments of God. And we're
about there now, friends. If you'd just stick to the rest of the week maybe the
Lord will reveal it and we'll see what--how close we are one of these nights to
the coming of the Lord. Don't never
think about the great crowds. It's the minority. It's the little church that God is coming after. Remember that.
All right
59-2 {380} God in Simplicity 63-0317M He's already told us this, the rapture, then judgments will
strike: sin, plagues, sickness, and everything. The people will cry for death
to take them when the judgment... "Lord, why is this judgment upon us when
You said that there'd be a rapture first?" He will say, "It's already come, and you didn't know
it.": God hiding Himself in simplicity. Oh, my. All right. "it's
already happened and you knew it not."
Why don't believers believe the simple signs of His coming?
E-53 Super Sign 62-0624 God always made prophets His sign... Notice.
God shows His signs, and every time a prophet rises on the scene it's always a
sign: usually a sign of oncoming judgment, when God raises up a prophet.
E-79 Sign of His Coming 62-0407 God had sent them a prophet for a sign, and
he did the sign. And they ignored the sign, and they went into judgment.
But I want you to notice
also, as the prophet was a sign of judgment, he was also a sign of the way of
escape for those who believed. Noah was a sign to the unbelieving world of the
soon coming judgments of God, but he was also a sign to the believer of safety.
When God sends mercy and man spurns God’s mercy, there is nothing left but
judgment. Moses was a sign of impending judgment to Egypt but he was also a
sign to Israel of a soon deliverance. Daniel was a sign to Babylon that they
would be destroyed, but he was also a sign to Israel that they would be delivered. John the Baptist was a sign to Israel that
they would be judged, but he was also a sign tot he believer of their soon
deliverance by Messiah. Jesus was a sign of Judgment, “ He said for judgment am I come
into the world.” [John 9:39]
And yet He also said, “come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy
laden and I will give you rest [Acts
3:22-23] [Mal 4:5-6] [Heb 12:25].
Now, in getting back to
Romans 5: 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his
blood, we shall be saved from wrath
through him. 10 For
if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
I want you to notice that
God said, , being now justified by his
blood, we shall be saved from wrath
through him. Therefore we are
talking about a way of escape that can only come through our Lord Jesus
Christ... And notice how Paul let’s us know that Jesus has already taken our
place in the judgment, therefore, God can not allow us to go through the
judgment, or Jesus would have died in vain...
197 ONENESS V-10 N-2 62-0211 This thing of this Council of Churches is
nothing else in the world but a stir of the foolish virgin, to be left here on the earth for a picking for the antichrist. But
the real church of God will float like old Noah did, and go on into glory just
as sure as I'm standing here. That's why He's gathering them together. That's
what the Voice is speaking forward today. That's what God's a-doing, is
gathering one from Los Angeles, and one from Philadelphia, and one from
Georgia, and so forth, gathering them together, His people that's willing to believe
the Word of the living God. "As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be
in the coming of the Son of man, wherein the few was saved, just a very
few." All right, our Holy Ghost ark
will float right above the judgments of God, 'cause we're already judged, as
we've confessed Jesus, and He took our judgment.
63 Warning Then Judgment 63-0724 Now, God
giving warning, prepare for a judgment. The atomic bombs are in the
hangars, everything's setting ready. And God, before He can let this thing
happen, He makes a call down through like He did in Sodom, "Come out of it. Get ready. There's something going to
happen." Like in the days of
Noah, before God sent the waters to destroy the world in the great antediluvian
world that had come off into sin, and Jesus clearly said that it was a day just
like this. "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of
the Son of man." How that the women
on the rampage, and marrying and giving in marriage, and the great
scientific achievements, and the smart educated going into the intellectual
side, and the little humble Flock
setting off to one side waiting the pending judgment and the escape. And
before God sent that judgment, He sent a prophet (Uh-huh.), just like He did to
Hezekiah, He said, "Get ready, for the judgments are ready to fall."
And he made the people ready for the time. Noah made the people ready, and it was a call of mercy before judgment
.
71 Looking Unto Jesus 64-0122 We find out here, there was
another man looked by the name of--Noah. He looked and saw the just judgment of
God, upon a wicked Word-denying generation, was being poured out. In his
vision, as Noah was a prophet, God had give him a vision of how to build the
ark, and instructed him how to make the construction, how it must be built. In
this, how could Noah, unless this vision being the Word of God, when he seen this wrath and making a way of
preparation... Always, before
coming judgment, there is a preparation
made. It always is the Word of God.
And when he was constructing the Word of God together, bearing record
that his vision was true and he believed in it, scoffers made fun of him, and
so forth. But Noah had looked ahead and seen the justice of God had to require
the judgment upon the people, and he constructed an ark to save his own
household. When he looked, he saw the coming wrath of God, and he made preparations for the people to
escape this thing. So did John the
Baptist, he made preparation for the escape. And so is the Holy Ghost,
today, forerunning the coming of Jesus Christ, is making a construction...
that'll stand the judgments; because It's already been judged. "When I see
the Blood, I'll pass over you." Yes. Noah, he looked and he saw what was coming.
E-12 Waters of Separation 55-0606 Now, I want you to notice. They went up a
mixed multitude, and that caused trouble among them as they got up there. But God in His sovereign mercy, not willing
that any should perish, but that all might come to repentance, always makes a preparation of a way of
escape for those who desire to come by the way of escape. He did it in the
antediluvian world. He did it in the days of the calling out of Noah, or Moses,
rather, calling out of Israel. He did it in the days of the Lord Jesus, and
He's doing it yet today just before the judgments are to strike the world.
God is calling out a people, those who are willing to walk and take
God's preparation, how to escape the wrath that's coming upon the earth.
And I trust that none that's in Divine
Presence tonight, or will be, will
ever have to stay here and suffer through the great wrath of God that's soon to
come on the earth. There's no way of all of escaping it.
E-40 Mark of the Beast 61-0217 I said, "That's the clouds
of God's wrath. God poured His wrath out upon Christ Who took my place at
Calvary. He died under the judgments and wrath of God. God poured out His
fierce judgment upon Him and He took my place." I said, "I was a sinner, and He took my place." And I noticed
tears coming up in the woman's eyes. I said, "We're sinful, and we have no
hope. But God knowed that we had to
stand these judgments, and Jesus took them for us. And them clouds hanging
over the cross was God's wrath pouring out upon Him. And He bore the wrath of God in His own body that we might be
free." Oh, what a story, what a truth. The... God's wrath...
986-287 Q& A 64-0823M The Bible said He'll judge the world by Jesus
Christ, and Jesus Christ is the Word. So
to me, it's the Word of God that He'll judge the world by. That's right. And I believe His judgments are in the
earth now, and I believe... Let us
seek with all of our heart to escape the wrath of the damnation of the
wrath of God that's going to be poured out upon this unbelieving world; and
there's no way at all for to it--escape it.
E-58 Inner Man 53-1212 He's provided a way like the brass serpent.
He provided Jesus to meet all that we have need for while we're in this journey
between heaven and earth. And believing
that little meetings such as gathered around over the city of true believers is
the only thing that's keeping the wrath of God and judgment from being poured
out right now.
E-25 Led by the Spirit of God
56-0723 Oh, my. That make you forget the hot weather. Notice, and while
you're in that Body, you are just as free from condemnation as He is. You'll never have to stand any judgment.
God caused judgment to be struck upon His Body. And if you're in Him, God
cannot judge you; He's already judged you when He judged Christ. Amen. And you can't be under judgment no more.
Christ took your judgment. And when you're baptized into that Body of Christ,
you are free from God's judgment. The wrath of God will pass over you. That's
why He said, "When I see the Blood, I'll pass over you."
E-8 Conference with God 60-0108
Lord,
tonight, that we are partakers of His grace and of this Eternal Life. Nothing
that we have did or nothing that we could do, that would merit such a blessing,
but it's by the sovereign grace of God. And we humbly accept it and believe it,
and are anxiously telling others of God's way, a provided way to escape the wrath of God at the day of the judgment,
and be a friend to Him, to enter into His Presence, with washed souls,
through the Blood of His Son, Christ Jesus.
62 You must be born Again
61-1231M And when we look at
Christ, you see the penalty. The only One, God Himself made flesh, God
coming to the earth, and took on Him the sin of all of us, and the judgment and wrath of Almighty God was
poured out upon His body, and there it was rivened at the cross. That's the real judgment. He tread the winepress of the wrath of God
alone. Alone He walked the road.
Alone He died with not no help from an Angel, from a man, from His Church, from
His mother, from His brethren, from His Father. And forsaken by God, man, and
nature, He died alone to show us that even nature itself can't help us in
the hour of death. There's no friend, no priest, no pope, no pastor... It's
death. But there was One Who took it for
us.
91 Warning Then Judgment
63-0724 Now, we find out that our
proud America is not going to escape the wrath of God. As I spoke one day
since I've been here, I'm sure it was here, of--of the everything at the end.
You know, I--I can't see nothing to build to. You can't build to politics; it's
gone. You--you can't build to social life, because it's so demoralized. There's
nothing that you can build to there. And you
can't put no hopes in nothing.
"How about the church?"
Well, you can't do nothing with the church; it's so formal and gone,
there's nothing left. They've done sold out their birthrights for a mess of
pottage, and they're just waiting judgment. The Holy Spirit has crossed this nation, showing His signs and
wonders, and they continually spurn His grace. He a-vindicates Himself and proves by His great a-vindication, that
He's the Word of God manifested in this day. And they still turn It down.
See? There's nothing left now. You just can't always do that to God. See?
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my
peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither
let it be afraid. Why? Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the
love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or
nakedness, or peril, or sword? Therefore
our focus throughout it all is the peace we still have during times of stress
and tribulation. In fact the peace of God is said to be in this regard, a much
greater feeling to us than the concerns of tribulation because we know for
certain that tribulations are only allowed by God for the purpose of creating
in us a greater measure of patience, and when we come into this greater measure
of patience, we will as well develop more experience which means that our
character will more fully develop.
E-32 When Their Eyes were opened 56-0420 So these two disciples, on the road, they
were thinking about Him, and as they thought about Him, He stepped out of the
side of the road and begin to talk to them, and they didn't know Him. That's the way... Now here it is, get it.
I'm sure the reason that we don't see more of Christ; we're always talking
about something else but Christ. If you let your conversations be upon Christ,
and upon His finished works, and His goodness, instead of so much stuff that we
do think about all day long, Christ would appear more often to us, if we'd only
look at it in that way. And as they're
going along, speaking about Him, He walks along their side, and they don't
recognize Him. Many times He's been at your side, yonder in the hospital when
your doctor turned you down, all he could do. But you got well; you didn't
realize that's Who it was. When that
car went right in front of you and you slammed the brakes and just barely
missed him. You didn't realize that's Who it was setting at your side. He's
been with you in so many things. When
the barrel was empty during the depression, the children had no clothes, you
never knowed where the next meal was coming from, somehow you made it. You
didn't realize it was Him. See? How you've been blessed. If you only knew
that's Him that you love, that's with you.
E-13 When Divine Love is Projected 57-0126E God loved the world that He... The smiting
of the just judgments that belonged to us, they were all smitten onto Christ.
And out of Him came forth rivers of living waters, speaking of the Spirit, that
a perishing people might live. The waters of life coming from Him, a smitten
sacrifice, an accepted One... And no matter how little... I love God for that.
E-56 Infallible Proofs of His Resurrection 57-0114 Who
was it during the time of the depression, and when you had no flour in the
barrel, and the kiddies were needing, some kindhearted neighbor come and give
you something to eat? You thanked him. You should. But it was Christ working in
man. You didn't realize it. Many
times they fail to do that. These men failed to see it. They were lovers of
Christ. And they walked with a sad heart, broken hearted, because they thought
the Messiah that they had believed in was in vain, and He was dead and gone,
not knowing that that was Him walking by them.

come on the earth. There's no way of all of escaping it.
E-34 Book of exodus 55-1005 The... Satan may pin you in a corner with a
cancer, God will make a way of escape. Satan may pin you down under a car, God
will make a way of escape. Satan may taken your family away from you, but God
will make a way of escape. God has a way.
Notice. And now, Noah... Let's look at that ark just a moment, how he
provided it. Now, he just couldn't go out and cut down any kind of a tree.
Because any kind of thing won't stand the judgments of God. The water was
Divine judgment that was going to destroy all the world, and it had to be
something that would face the Divine judgment.
And friend of mine, I want you to know tonight, that there is coming a
Divine judgment on all the world. Remember, Satan's having his domain now. You
think you're having a big time, but wait. His dominion will end pretty soon.
Then the Kingdom of God will be established. I want to be in that Kingdom.
E-22 Called out 58-0109 Noah went into the ark for safety. Lot came
out of Sodom. One came out; the other went in. What is it the type of, when
it's conglomerated together? It's the
type of the Church coming out of the world for safety, and going into the ark
of Christ to go to glory. One come out, the other went in. One come out to
keep from being destroyed with the world; the other one went into the ark of
safety. And Christ is the Ark of safety.
And remember. Before that the judgments of hail, fire, and darkness
swept over Egypt, Israel made her way to Goshen where there was light. And
Egypt was left to wander in the darkness.
Men and woman, listen to me now. Before you're left on this earth of
misery, and canker here in sin, run to the Light as hard as you can go....the
Light, Christ Jesus, and accept His Message of mercy. "Hurry," said the Angel, "and escape thither, for
I can't do nothing till thou has come out," judgment cannot come.
