ROMANS.7: 1 ¶ Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to [her] husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of [her] husband. :3 So then if, while [her] husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, [even] to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

This morning I would like to examine these thoughts here on the law which govern the marriage contract. Paul said, 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to [her] husband so long as he liveth. 3 So then if, while [her] husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: Therefore, if she be called an adulterous, there is also a law that deals with the punishment of an adulterous woman. And since America married itself to Christ through a covenant called the Declaration of Independence, she is obligated to fulfil her marriage vow. Since she has left her vow, the Declaration of Independence, she must be called an adulterous nation, and be punished with the same punishment that the adulterous woman is punished with.

To begin this study, let’s examine this covenant between God and this nation. This covenant that I am talking about is not the Constitution of the United states. That is a covenant between the government and the people. But the Declaration of Independence is that document which places the people of America under the authority of God and His Word. Paul said, .:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, [even] to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. And so our forefathers expressed their desire for this Nation to be divorced from the King of England and his form of government and to come under the rulership and governance and authority of God’s law.

Declaration of Independence July 4, 1776. “When in the course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of Nature’s God entitles them, a decent respect in the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel to the separation. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal , that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. -That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men Men, deriving their just powers from the covenant of the governed, - that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying it’s foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”

Now, this tells us that we the people of this United States had declared a separation and divorce from the King of England and his form of rule and had subjected ourselves to God and His authority. Then we find in doing so that a covenant would need to be written for the governing of the people by the people. And we entered into a republic form of government under a covenant we call the constitution of the United States. in this covenant we established that these unalienable rights which were God given would also be the major focus and priority of our constitution binding our people together.

AMENDMENT I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

AMENDMENT II A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Let’s first begin now to look into God’s Word to see what God thinks of adultery. When He gave the 10 commandments in Exodus 20, the sixth commandment He gave to man was “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” Now, I do not think it is a strange thing that this is the sixth commandment when the number 6 is the number of man for man was created on the sixth day of Creation.

And man is now ending the first six thousand years of his existence here on earth, in which we know that a thousand years to man is but a day to God. Therefore, he that was created on the sixth day also had six days to live out his time here and it is then fitting that the destruction of man will come at the end of the sixth day.

In Leviticus 20:10 God said, “And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Therefore we see by the Word of God, that death is the punishment for adultery.

PROVERBS 6:32 [But] Whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he [that] doeth it destroyeth his own soul. Therefore, there must first be a spiritual death take place first where a person loses any understanding they might have had. PROVERBS 30:20 Such [is] the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.

EZEKIEL 16:32 [But as] a wife that committeth adultery, [which] taketh strangers instead of her husband!

REVELATION 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. Therefore we see tribulation and death are her punishment.

II PETER 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: Therefore the curse is upon them.

MARK 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

JAMES 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

E-62 CONFIRMATION AND EVIDENCE 62-0621E Now, let me tell you, friend. That God of Moses Who could take them in the ark, could take them away from them walls. And if God by instinct in a bird, could call it from danger, how much more ought it to call human beings, who are inspired by the Holy Ghost? What an evil thing. What an adulterous generation. 135 PRESENCE OF GOD UNRECOGNIZED 64-0618 Like in the days of Jesus, same thing. Watch Him standing here now. He said, "As it was in the days of Jonas, in Jonah; for as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and nights, so must the Son of man." He said, "A wicked and an adulterous generation will seek after a sign." Now, you know what I think He was doing? He was prophesying, "A wicked and adulterous generation..." I wonder if any man in his right mind could deny that we are not living in a weak and an adulterous generation, when homosexuals, perversion. And the divorce rates in America is higher than any other nation in the world. And the whole world's gone into a chaos of it. Three out of every four, nearly, is divorced, around--taking the whole thing around in ten years of marriage. See? Think of it. Divorce, marry again, and marry again, divorce and marry again. "They were eating, drinking, marrying wives and given in marriage." Look at the hour we're living in. When was it ever in such a chaos?

E-31 BELIEVEST THOU THIS 53-0906A. God always makes a preparation for things. Don't you believe that? I want you to listen close. I believe today with all my heart... Now, this is just Brother Branham speaking. You see? I believe that the things that you see are taking place now, is a preparation. God is preparing something just before a climax. God always warns the world, and then if they won't--will not receive warning, then there's only one thing left; that's judgment. Noah warned the world, and they would not receive it. And all through the age, God's always warned. He sends mercy, and if they spurn mercy, there's nothing else left but judgment. But the merciful Father will send mercy first.

E-33 PREPARATION 53-1111 Now, God in His preparation. Back when God was going to destroy the world. Before He destroyed the world, He sent forth a preparation for the saving of the people that desired to be saved. He always does it. He shows mercy before judgment. And if men spurn mercy, there's only one thing left and that is judgment. And God don't judge you; you judge yourself. That's true.

As long as you're under this spray of blood that's around the world, you have a--a right for mercy. God's... The Blood of Christ keeps God from killing you, or He'd kill you just as soon as you sinned. But that's still..holding God from you, from your death. But when... You're a free moral agent now. But when you die and your spirit goes beyond that, then your already judged. You don't have to wait for judgment; you're judged already. God done said, "The day you eat thereof, the day you die." And that settles it

55 RESPECTS 61-1015E Let's take Noah for a moment. Now, Noah had a revelation from God, yet it was contrary to anything that science would prove to be true. But yet he had spoke to God, and God had spake to him. And he went about preparing an ark, where the scoffers and mockers (as the Bible said that they would be in the last days like they was in them days), that those scoffers scoffed at Noah. Why, they thought that he was out of his head because he was building an ark. So but God brought judgment upon them scoffers because they would not listen to the messenger of God and come into that ark under his preaching, then God sent His Divine judgments on the earth. First He made a preparation for all who would receive it, to escape it, and then if they did not escape it, there's only one thing left. If they won't take God's preparation of escape, then there's only one thing left, that's Divine judgment.

E-17 WHY 62-0622E When God makes a way of escape for the people, and the people refuse that escape, then God asks the question, "Why?" I think He has a right to. If God does all that He can for the people, and the people refuse to receive His help, then He has a right to ask why they didn't do it. I believe it'll be that way at the judgment. When God has made every preparation that could be made for the church and for the people and then they refuse it, God's going to ask us why we didn't receive it. I believe that.

71 LOOKING UNTO JESUS 64- We find out here, there was another man looked by the name of Noah. He looked and saw the just judgment of God upon a wicked Word-denying generation, was being poured out. In his vision, as Noah was a prophet, God had give him a vision of how to build the ark, and instructed him how to make the construction, how it must be built. In this, how could Noah, unless this vision being the Word of God, when he seen this wrath and making a way of preparation... Always, before coming judgment, there is a preparation made. It always is the Word of God.

And I watch every little move, every objective, every motive, 'cause everything is governed by spirit. This church was put here for a purpose. There's a spirit behind this church. Certainly. Spirit behind your home, behind every building, behind everything there is a spirit, motive, and objective. This church comes here to greatly exalt some human system or something, then its motives is not right; but if it's put here to try to achieve something for the Kingdom of God, then the motive and objective both is right, if the motives is directed that way. ( Expound on this way of watching and looking at what is happening) .

You think you're dying for a good spiritual revival; you wait till after a bit. You just wait, long and cry to hear the Word of God. The Bible said so. "There'll be a famine in the last days," said the prophet, "and not for bread and water alone, but for hearing the true Word of God." But that voice will be quiet in the wilderness somewhere, hid away. He ordained the ravens, His servants. Bless them birds, His servants, that kept the voice of--of Elijah alive during the time of his--his isolation from the church.

In the end time, not in the early days when Christ was preaching, but in the end time, the last part of the week, where we just took the seventy weeks of Daniel; and Christ has prophesied for the three and a half years, and three and a half years are yet determined. That's right. {349} And after the church is taken away, Rome and the Jews will make a covenant with one another. The Bible said they would, with the holy people. And now notice, they'll make it, because why? This nation is going to be busted, and the rest of the world that's on the gold standard is busted. You know that. If we're living off of taxes, due bills for forty years from now, where are we at? There's only one thing can happen. That's to call in the currency and pay off the bonds; and we can't do it. Wall Street owns them, and Wall Street's controlled by the Jews; the rest of it's in the Vatican, and the Jews has got the rest of it in Wall Street with the commerce of the world. {350} We can't call it in. And if we could do it, do you think these whiskey guys and--and all these tobacco people with billions times billions of dollars a year and write off all their income tax for old vulgar pictures and things like that--go out in Arizona there and buy millions of acres of land--or thousands--and dig them big wells at fifty thousand dollars and pay it off with income tax? And they'd put you in jail if you don't pay yours. But they write it off and throw up wells and send bulldozers in. And what do they do? They put housing projects in there, and the next turn around with their money they made (they have got to make an investment) and put houses, projects in there and sell them for millions of dollars. Do you think them guys is going to compromise to change the currency? {352} Like this fellow down here, Castro did. He done the only smart thing he ever did do then, when he destroyed the bonds: paid them off and destroyed them. Notice, but we can't do that. These guys won't let us. The rich merchants of the earth hold it, and then there's only one thing to do: The Catholic church can pay it off. She's the only one that's got the money; she can do it, and she will do it. And in doing this to get it, she'll compromise with the Jews and make a covenant, and when she makes this covenant with the Jews... Now, remember, I'm taking this from the Scriptures. And now, when she does this and makes this covenant, we notice in Daniel 8:23 and 25 he will cause craft to prosper (And craft is manufacturing.), in his hand. {354} And he makes this covenant with the Jews, and in the midst of this three and a half years, he breaks his covenant as soon as he gets the thing wrapped up and gets the money of the Jews tied up. And when he does that, oh, my, oh, my, he's called the antichrist until the end of the church age, for he and his children are against Christ and the Word. This man's called the antichrist. Now, he's going to hold the money. And that's where I think he'll come in. Just a minute, while I say this, then I want to go back to it in a minute. He's called the antichrist and will be called the antichrist in the sight of God until the end time. Now, but then he'll be called something else. {359} Now, when he gets the money all under control, then he'll break this covenant with the Jews, as Daniel here said he would do it, in the midst of the last half of the seventy weeks of Daniel. And then, brother, what will he do? He will have all of the world trade and the commerce, a pact with the world, 'cause he'll hold the wealth of the world completely. And during that time, them two prophets will rise on the scene and call that hundred and forty-four thousand. Then what'll take place? Then the mark of the beast of Revelations 13 will set in, 'cause he holds all the commerce, trade and everything of the world. And what will take place then? The mark of the beast will come in that no man can buy or sell except him that has the mark of the beast. Thank God, the Church will be enjoying a great three and a half years in glory. Don't have to go through that.

E-26 026 You see, if Satan has a kingdom, he's got to have a false economy. He's got to have something that he can present to them to make them think they are living. But it's absolutely on the vice versa side. It's death in the form of life.

6-1 Look Away To Jesus 63-1229E So now, I am going to say something to you now, that I haven't said all along. And that is, the thing that we have looked forward to for so long, or at least many years, four or five years or maybe longer, the third pull has now been vindicated, and I'm sure you all know what it is. Now, remember, there'll never be any impersonation of that, 'cause it can't be. It cannot be. Now, it's in existence, and I am warned of this, that soon, right at this time now, it's just happened, so it could identify its presence among you. See? But it will not be used in a great way, until this council begins to tighten up. And when it does, when that does... The Pentecostals and so forth can almost impersonate anything could be done, but when that time comes, when the squeeze comes down, then you'll see what you have seen temporarily, be manifested in the fullness of its power. See? Now, I must continue in evangelism, just as I was commissioned first; I must continue on. Therefore, you've had the Word, and you know what to look for, how to stand. I must continue on in evangelism. And friends of mine, keep still and just keep moving on, for the hour is approaching swiftly (See?), that when something is going to be done. Now, you might see some little odd things happen from me, nothing sinful, I don't mean that, but I mean something odd to what the regular trend, because what I have reached to now in the ministry, I'm dropping back here, watching that spot and waiting for the time to use it. But it's going to be used. And everyone knows that for as certain as the first was identified, so has the second been identified; and if you'll think real closely, you who are spiritual (as the Bible said, "Here's to him who has wisdom.") the third is properly identified. See? We know where it is. So the third pull is here. It is so sacred that I mustn't not say much about it, as He told me in the beginning. Said, "This, say nothing of it." You remember that years ago? It speaks for Itself. See? But I've tried to explain the others, and I made a mistake. This will be the thing that, to my opinion (I don't say the Lord tells me this.)--this will be the thing that will start the rapturing faith for the going away. See, see? Now, I must lay quiet for just a little while. Now, remember (and who's listening to this tape) you might see such a change in my ministry right away, dropping back... Not going up, dropping back... We're right at the age now, and it can't go any further. We have to wait here just a minute until this happens over here to catch up, then the time comes. But it's thoroughly identified. There's coming a time--in this nation, to where this nation is going to exercise all the power that the beast had before (which was pagan Rome, when it become papal Rome. See?) that this nation will do that. Revelations 13 plainly explains it. The lamb came up out of the earth. The other beast came up out of water, thickness and multitudes of people. This lamb came up where there was no people. A lamb represents religion--the Lamb of God. And remember, it spoke like a lamb; it was a lamb, and then after while it received power and spoke like a dragon, and exercised all the power the--the dragon--power the dragon had before him; and the dragon is Rome always. So don't you see, Roman denomination, a marked Protestant denomination, an image unto the beast, making a power that'll force all Protestants like a union. You'll have to be into this council of churches, or you won't be able to have fellowship ... Well, it's practically that way now. You can't go to a church and preach, 'less you have a fellowship card or some identification. And now, on persons like ourselves, we're going to be cut out of all that altogether. That's exactly, because they won't be able to do it. It's tightening; and then when that time comes, and the press comes to a place to where you're pressed out, then watch (what I am fixing to tell you in a few minutes) watch the third pull then. It'll be absolutely to the total lost, but it will be for the Bride and the church. Now, we're closer than it seems to be. I don't know when, but it's real, real, close. I may be building a platform for somebody else to step on. I may be taken before that time. I don't know. And that time may be this coming week that the Holy Spirit will come with--and bring Christ Jesus. He may come this next week. He may come yet tonight. I don't know when He will come. He doesn't tell us that. But I do believe that we are so close, that I would never die with old age. Yet at fifty-four years old, I'd never die with old age until He's here. See? Unless I am shot, killed, or something, or other, some way killed; just old age wouldn't kill me, until He's come. And I believe that... And I want to say this; I have never said it before, but according to Scripture, according to what He said thirty years ago, thirty-three years ago on the river down there (in 1933, rather), what He said, everything has happened just exactly. I may not do it, but this message will introduce Jesus Christ to the world. "For as John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming, so is the message to forerun the second coming." And John said, "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world." See? So it paralleled it in every way, and I know it will. The message will go on.

57-1 STATURE OF A PERFECT MAN 62-1014M this present government now is spending money for what? For tax money that they'll be collecting forty years from now. She's done. That's "Life Line" right out of Washington D.C., across the nation. Taxes, they're spending and trying to buy foreign... Why, they're just giving it out any way. Don't you see, that's exactly what they're going to do? See, what is it? Now, if this nation goes busted, the only thing it can do is go busted. The only thing that it can do is go bankrupt. That's the only sensible thing to do: change the currency. But they won't do it. Under this present ministration, Roman Catholic church owns the gold of the world, and what they'll do is sell out. These rich men and so forth of the earth, as the Bible said, what will they do before they lose the Brown and Williamson tobacco company (Most all of them's Catholic anyhow.), and all these other things, what will they do? They'll accept that and they'll take the money from Rome, and then she's sold her very birthright. Rome backs her up. Yes, sir. She'll back it up. And they're getting enough policy now, getting enough around them, bring it in his cabinet. Look what Mr. Kennedy's asking for. And when you seen this the other day... There's no need of voting any more. What's the use of voting? When they put it in the paper and proved it before the public, and they refused to do anything about it; when they proved that the machines across the nation was set up, that they elected Mr. Kennedy by a false vote. Don't the Bible say that he would come in by deceit? A falsehood. Now, I'm not against the Democrat party no more than a Republican party, but I'm just stating facts from the Bible. What's the use of voting? They know who's going in there.

313-2 Philadelphian Church Age CA Book "I will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." This verse is not a declaration that the true church will go into and through the tribulation. If it meant that it would have said that. But it said, "I will keep thee from the hour of temptation." This temptation is exactly like the temptation in Eden. It will be a very inviting proposition held up in direct opposition to God's commanded Word, and yet from the standpoint of human reasoning it will be so very right, so enlightening and life-giving as to fool the world. Only the very elect will not be fooled. The temptation will come as follows. The ecumenical move that has started on what seems such a beautiful and blessed principle (fulfilling Christ's prayer that we all might be one) becomes so strong politically that she bears pressure upon the government to cause all to join with her either directly or through adherence to principles enacted into law so that no people will be recognized as actual churches unless under direct or indirect domination of this council. Little groups will lose charters, privileges, etc., until they lose all property and spiritual rights with the people. For example, right now unless the local ministerial association approves in many, if not most cities, one cannot rent a building for religious services. To become chaplains in the armed services, hospitals, etc., it is now almost mandatory to be recognized as acceptable to the trinitarian ecumenical groups. As this pressure increases, and it will, it will be harder to resist, for to resist is to lose privilege. And so many will be tempted to go along, for they will feel it is better to serve God publicly in the framework of this organization than not to serve God at all publicly. But they err. To believe the devil's lie is to serve Satan, even though you may want to call him Jehovah. But the elect will not be deceived.
