Spoken
Word no. 162
Ripening
under the SON
Brian Kocourek, Pastor
May 12th,
2010
Now, this evening we will continue
with the sermon of brother Branham’s the Spoken Word is the Original Seed paragraph 7 Now, the rain we found out was the Spirit.
And now, we left off at where I gave my thoughts of what the whole thing will
be. That is, I believe that the rain has been brought, the rain. That is the reason we are quieting down,
because the ground's already sowed over. You can't find anywhere hardly but
what's been sowed. And it's went out through radio, television, tapes, word,
everything; it's sowed the country down. It's
planted seeds. Now, what seeds was planted, you cannot get nothing else
from it but what seeds that was planted. Can you understand now? It'll be the seed that's planted. Now,
the Spirit will fall, but It'll bring a harvest of the seed that It falls on.
Now, remember.
Now, we know that there are only two seeds sown, an organizational seed
and the Word seed, which must lay in the presence of the SON to ripen as
brother Branham told us in so many places, because we need to sweeten up in our
spirit.
GOD'S ONLY PROVIDED PLACE OF WORSHIP
65-1128M 40 020 I believe the church is begin to hear
the message, and beginning to understand. But, friends, listen, we've got to
lay in the Presence of the Son; we've got to be ripened. Our--our faith isn't
ripe. Intellectually we're hearing the message that God has give us, and seeing
the signs that He showed us, and proving it by the Bible as that; but, oh, how
the church needs to lay in His Presence till it tenders up, you know, and gets
sweet in the Spirit so that it can bathe down. Sometimes in speaking the
message, you get harsh, have to break it in like that, because you've got to
clinch a nail to make it hold. But when the church once gets it, the Elected is
called out and separated then in the Presence of God, I know it'll be something
like the people was there when it takes its rapture.
3
Therefore, this evening I would like to examine this ripening process that we
must go through. Since we examined this process last week, I would like to turn
our attention, not so much on the process itself, but on this SON which we must
lay in, in order to bring on this ripening process. Because after all, unless
we lay in the presence of this SON, we will not receive this ripening process
and therefore will not become ripe, or mature, or made ready. We will not
tender up, nor will we become sweet in our spirit. Therefore, it is necessary
that we lay in the Presence of the correct source of Light. And this Light that
we are told to lay in is the Presence of THE SON.
We are promised that God will send forth
His SON in the form of the SUN of Righteousness. And this SUN will have a
two-fold ministry. This same SUN will harden some while it will warm and soften
and bring to LIFE others. He tells us in the book of Malachi that this SUN will
bring forth a light that will heal, yet will also burn up others.
MALACHI 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh,
that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly,
shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of
hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. 2 But unto you that
fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;
and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. 3 And ye shall tread
down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the
day that I shall do [this], saith the LORD of hosts. 4 Remember ye the law of
Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all
ZECHARIAH 14:6
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be
clear, [nor] dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD,
not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that] at evening time it shall
be light. 8 And it shall be in that day, [that] living waters shall go out from
PSALMS 27:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and
my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom
shall I be afraid?
PROVERBS 6:23
For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of
instruction are the way of life:
Rapture
the 65-1204 P:35 See, try to hold it over. But that's been
the attitude of the church. A revival goes forth, and the first thing you know,
within about three years they start an organization over it. The denomination
starts a organization. But have you noticed, this has been sweeping for twenty
years now, and there's no organization, and there never will be. This is the
end. The wheat's come back to the wheat again. The wheat's come back to its
grain. The shuck has pulled away from it. And the wheat must lay in the
presence of the sun to be ripened.
Man
running from presence 65-0217 P:21 I believe we have Truth. I'm
satisfied with that. And I believe the wheat is absolutely, the shucks pulling
away from it. You know? And to see... I may give a little prelude on that
tomorrow night (See?), how the shuck's pulling away from the wheat. But the
wheat has to lay in the presence of the sun to ripen. And that's what we're
here for, friends. Stay in the Presence of the Son till our little group of
people here, till it becomes so ripe to Christ, that it becomes bread on His
table. That's what I want it to do. And now, before we approach the Word after
reciting poems and so forth, let's pray again. Then we're going to take a text.
Things
that are to be 65-1205 P:65 Now, remember, in every reformation we've
had on all those Lutherans and so forth, in three years they organized. That's
right. Every revival brought a organization in three years. Think how long this
has been going on: twenty something years and no organizations. Why? It's the
seed coming, forming under the husk like this. Laying out now, it's got to lay in the presence of the sun
to ripen into the glorious grain like the One that went into the first. The
real church that went down first, It's coming right back up through the stalk
to come out another church. When the combine comes to pick it up, the Life that
went down in Luther, the Life that went down in the Methodist, the Life that
went down in the Pentecostal will come into the grain; it'll all go right into
the grain and go out, forming the perfect Body of Jesus Christ.
Invisible
union of the bride 65-1125 P:79 Then
what happens? When the grain begins to grow and it gets bigger, so it can cover
over something, the denomination pulls away from it." Why ain't we got a
denomination out of this?" They never will be. It's the grain. It can't go
no farther. We're at the end-time. What does it have to do now? Lay in the
presence of the sun to be ripened. That's exactly. The Word to be ripened into
your heart to bring forth and live what we're talking about. Yes, sir. Then
you'll have no more doubts, if you let the Holy Spirit reveal it to you like
the queen said about Daniel.
Trying
to do God a service 65-1127B P:111 I heard a guy say one time,
said, "I believe that man prays for the sick; I believe it's fine. But as
being a prophet," said, "I believe he's God's prophet; but as a
teacher, why, he's a Jesus only." What a... What kind of a person would
you call that? A man doesn't know what he's talking about. The very word
"prophet" means that "he is a revealer of the Word of God";
the interpretation only comes to that. And that's why today we're in such a
need of this great person that's supposed to be sent to us in the form of the
prophet Elijah, because it'll be the revelation of God made known to us by
vindication, showing that it's the day and the hour and the season that God
promised it to be in. And remember, he'll be spoken against; always has been,
always will be. Rejected, just like the shuck will pull... First he'll be
accepted, because the shuck only holds the wheat until it's able to get forth
to the sun. Pentecost will only sheltered the message, giving it an open door
until it gets scattered, and then the shuck will pull away, and the wheat will
lay in the Presence of the Son (See?), to ripen.
Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things,
but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Romans 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be
likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren,
farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one
mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
The Greek word for mind here is phroneo, pronounced fron-eh'-o,
and means not just to think, not just unreasoned opinion, but rather the way
you think, to be minded in a certain way, or be mindful, specifically
concerning moral interest and reflecting upon it, Thus it really refers to our attitude.
And we find that our attitude is a very important part of our worship and
belief system.
LORD I BELIEVE 53-0901 E-19 You've come in the right attitude. No one
ever come to Christ in the right attitude, but what went away with what they
asked for.
We find that our attitude is what
determines our reward.
RESURRECTION THE 53-1205 E-26 You say, "Will God stand
and judge me at the day of judgment?" No,
your attitude towards Him now, you're judging yourself. God has already
pronounced, "The day you eat thereof that day you die." That just
settles it. He has to stay by that; He don't have to
pronounce any more judgment. Your
attitude towards it is the recompense. What you think of His way of escape, if you
refuse to walk in His way, then you're already judging yourself as you judge
Him.
Therefore the attitude we have towards
God’s Word is critical to what we receive from God. Therefore, it is most
important that we have the right attitude. And what better attitude could we
have than the attitude of Christ Himself. Thus in the Book of Philippians, we
find Paul saying, 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in
Christ Jesus, and from
the New International Version it reads, Let this attitude that
was in Christ be in You.
Therefore what we are looking at here is
our attitude, and what attitude we are reflecting.
PHILIPPIANS 2:1 ¶ If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any
comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded,
having the same love, being ] of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done
through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look
not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.:
Demonology 1 Physical 53-0608A P:23 I realize as I treat the people I'm
treating God. Just my attitude towards you is my attitude towards Christ. And
your attitude towards me is the same thing (That's right.), towards Christ.
Now, we took for our text tonight several
Scriptures that speaks of
having the same mind one with another. Now, this does not speak of everyone
becoming a bunch of mindless robots having no mind of your own, but rather
speaks of having the same attitude towards one another as Christ had for us.
Therefore when we read this word Phroneo in
the scripture it matters not whether it is speaking for God seed or serpent
seed, it means the same thing, and that is the attitude we are expressing. In
Romans 8 and Philippians 3, we find it speaks of our not having the attitude of
the world, but rather of the Spirit.
ROMANS 8:1¶ There is therefore now no condemnation to them
which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the
law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak
through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and
for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might
be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For
they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that
are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is
death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal
mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither
indeed can be. 8 So then they
that are in the flesh cannot please God.
PHILIPPIANS 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their
belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.
And we are told if we have the wrong
attitude, God through His Holy Spirit will bring your attitude around to the
right way of thinking.
GALATIANS 5:10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but
he thattroubleth you
shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
PHILIPPIANS 1:27 ¶ Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of
Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your
affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind (with the same attitude) striving together for the faith of the
gospel;
PHILIPPIANS 3:15 ¶ Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus
minded: (with the same attitude) and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall
reveal even this unto you.
PHILIPPIANS 4:2 I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same
mind (with the same attitude) in the Lord.
COLOSSIANS 3:1¶ If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are
above, where Christ sitteth on
the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection (Set your attitude) on things above, not on things on the
earth.
