Staying with the Word

This morning we will continue with the Spoken Word is
the Original Seed and this will be number 192 in our series. This
morning we will read from paragraph 55 of brother Branham’s afternoon message
which is basically the last half of this sermon. So let’s open our booklets and read at pp.
55.
So the sperm of Eve never happened. Hybrid to Satan's lie, his lovely bride become polluted. And so has Christ's Bride. The
bride, what made her become polluted (Adam's bride now)? Because she never
stayed with God's Word. That right? I ask... Now, if it's not so, don't say it;
but if it is so, say it. The reason that God's--the reason that Adam's
bride--there's the three: Adam, Christ, God. The reason that Adam's bride never
did bear right the life child is because she disbelieved God's Word. If that's
right, say "Amen." [Congregation replies, "Amen."--Ed.] The
reason that Jehovah's wife was put away, or His bride, was because that she
rejected God's Word, the Prophet. Is that right? The reason that Christ's bride
is put away in divorcement is because that she has rejected the Word of God,
like Eve did, like the rest of them did; exactly, all whores, all polluted. Their husband couldn't get to them. They
was already pregnated 'fore their husband got to them. Oh, God, if that ain't a
pitiful sight. Think of a young man
coming to a woman and find her with seed of some other man in her. What a
thing. That's what God's done. That's what Adam done. That's what Christ has
done. Oh.

Yes, never stayed with the Word
and caused a hybrid condition. That's what
Notice brother Branham said she never stay with the
Word. I think that is our key here to understanding the two seeds. One can not
leave the Word because she is a part of that word, and the other can not stay
with the Word because they are not Word themselves. So for them to change their
actions when their minds haven't changed will only causes more stress in their
life. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 28:28 that "the Word of the Lord will become unto them, do
and do, do and do, rule upon rule, rule upon rule, until they will go backward, and fall and become broken."
Now,
we know that the Word of God is life, so to not stay with the Word means to
depart Life. The foolish virgin had oil at one time because we are told in Matthew 25:8 And the foolish said
unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. Now, that means that at one time they had oil
and they had light, but they have light no more. Why? because they lost their
focus and what oil, and what light they had on the Word has gone out. And who
do you say that had light and it went out? Everyone Who looked to the Word of
God as there lamp and their light, and that includes people who saw the pillar
of Fire in this hour.
Now, look, we must
look at this Word personally and if we don’t we do not even have any light
period. These were virgins that lost their light. They were not touched by
organization, they were virgins. But what light they had they had no more
because they lost their focus and did not keep the lamp trimmed.
Matthew 25:1 Then
shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Now, we know the lamp represents the Word of God.
David said in Psalms
119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. So these people had
the word of God with them. They were not Atheists, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus
or Muslems, (so that eliminates about 80-85% of humanity right there. They were
Christians which make up only about 15-20% of the worlds population, and they
had their Bibles with them which eliminates the Catholics who are taught that
the Bible is just a history, and not the Word of God. That eliminates another
14.2% of the worlds population. So we are narrowing this down quite a bit. We
have left the 400 million or so protestants, but this tells us they heard the
midnight cry, and came out which brings it down to about 2 million people who
follow this Message. They came out when they heard this midnight cry. And they
believed the Message, and they came out to meet the Bridegroom. There’s your Message people.
Now, we know the number ten represents the end of a
cycle, and since this speaks of virgins we are looking at the end of the cycle
of virgins. 2 And
five of them were wise, and five were foolish. And so we have a
problem here because some are said to be foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no
oil with them: So we are told that those who were foolish let the
light go out from the Word of God. The Message kept them together but not for
the study of the Word but for social and other purposes, perhaps family
tradition. But regardless of the reason
their lamps were not kept trimmed and the oil had gone out. And when they got
out because they had no light on what the midnight Message was all about. They
heard that Message and like the wise virgins they were obedient to that message
and came out to meet the bridegroom, but when they got out they could not see
who it was that was there because they had no light on the Word. They had no
clue as to who was outside, except they heard the Midnight Cry, the Message
said come out to meet Him and they did.
4 But
the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. Notice that these
called wise virgin had light upon the Word. And then we read 5 While
the bridegroom tarried, they all
slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a
cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh;
go ye out to meet him. Now, notice the cry was not that the bridegroom is
here but that he is coming. So this was a Message announcing the imminent
coming of the bridegroom. 7 Then
all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the
wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered,
saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to
them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And
while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in
with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Now, notice that there is coming a time when all have
come out that the door will be shut and no more will come out and that is when
the bridegroom actually comes. Then he that is filthy will be filthy still and
he that is righteous will be righteous still. There will be no more opportunity
to change.
11 Afterward
came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But
he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. This word know here was translated from a Greek word
which means to fully know but in the context that Jesus is using it, it would
suggest that He's saying, "I never really had a consummate relationship
with you" and therefore, (as Doctor Hoyer from Wheaton Illinois
who was at one time considered the greatest U.S. student of the Greek said, "this
should be translated as " I used to know you
as my wife, but I do not know you as my wife any longer." In
other words, we never consummated our relationship together and therefore I
really never knew you in a conjugal sense of the word. Finally we here Jesus
speak forth words of warning concerning this parable and what it means in verse
13 Watch
therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man
cometh. And of course this word watch means to ever be keeping a
vigilant eye, or spiritual alertness for the Parousia of the Son of Man.
Now, this spiritual awareness is what we are focusing
on today. Brother Branham said she couldn’t stay with the Word.
Now, the purpose of this sermon is not to dwell on the
ten virgins, because I have already given a very in depth sermon on the ten
virgins in our parables series, so I am not going to do so here again, but I
want you to see these five that were foolish heard the midnight cry. That is
the Shout of 1
Thessalonians 4:16. Come out to Meet Him. Come out of her my people, and be not partakers of her plagues. So they
listened to that voice and they came out of organization, or denomination. But
what good did it do them, they couldn’t identify him when they came out so they
missed the Appearing altogether.
Now, to miss the Appearing means to miss the
rapture, it means to be left in outder
darkness where there shall be weeping and waling and gnashing of teeth.
Why, Because the Word is life. And to miss Life leaves
only death. And brother Branham said the reason the foolish virgin will have to
give their own blood is that they did not count the blood of Jesus Christ
strong enough for their sins.
Jesus, in John 6:63 , said, "The Words which I speak, they are spirit and
they are Life."
Paul said in Acts 20:31Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three
years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. But
this was not just something that Paul believed would happen. He was only saying
what Jesus had already warned us about. we find our answer in Galatians 1:
6-9 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him
that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which
is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the
gospel of Christ.8 But though we, or an angel from
heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto
you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so
say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have
received, let him be accursed.
Paul speaks of the curse that is placed upon them who
would speak another Gospel than the one he had already given. It would be one
of a different nature. And notice that the Gospel they were already beginning
to speak (This other Gospel), is a perverted Gospel because it is a mixed
Gospel, because of men who came in among them had perverted the True Gospel.
{perverted = metastepho} to turn around or turn back again. A change of the
mind going backwards from what one has come out from. And notice that these men
had come out of Judaism and went right back into it.
In Galatians 2:4 we are told already in Paul’s day they had begun to
bring in a deviated Message, one that did not hold to the same Life as the One
already given to them. And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who
came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they
might bring us into bondage: Notice that Paul calls them false
brethren who came in.
In Acts 15:4-5 We are told, And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of
the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that
God had done with them.5 But there rose up certain
of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to
circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
Notice these so called believers still claimed to be Pharisees,
they were and yet they claimed to be believers of the message.
Now, here is the key. The word Paul uses when
he said perverted was translated from
the Greek word metastrepho, which means to turn around or turn
back again. A change of the mind going backwards from what one has come
out from. That is exactly what brother Branham was saying about the church
following like eve, that she could not stay with the Word. Now the word stay
suggests that the Word keeps moving on but these did not continue to move on
with the word of God. So in essence they turned back.
And we know by example that when the children of God
left
Hebrews 6:4-8 4 For it is impossible for those who were once
enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of
the Holy Ghost, 5 And
have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;
seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open
shame. 7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain
that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is
dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8 But that which beareth
thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be
burned.
We see here that the curse comes upon those who would
turn back from the true Vindicated Word, and all that is promised to these is
destruction and burning. Now remember, this is a once for all Word that is
spoken of Here. That has to be after the opening of the seals when the Entire
Word comes into full view. Which can be no other time than at the end-time
which is the Shout, Message.
2 Corinthians 11:2-4, 2 For
I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one
husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But
I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so
your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have
not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or
another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. Here we find Paul warn us of the casual attitude that
the people had concerning God's Word.
2 Thess 2:10-12 10 And with all
deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received
not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.11 And
for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they
should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who
believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. If they
had loved the Truth, they would never have opened themselves up for something
else. And Paul told us in Romans, "Let God be True and every man a
liar."
Now, for the
next few minutes I would like to read to you brother Branham's thoughts on what
it means to go backwards. Because to live is to move forward and progress, but
to die is to stop and go backwards.
PARADOX 62-63 Now we find Joshua representing Grace, or
some propitiation, that it could not exist in the same time that law was in existence.
Neither does any message that forwards
the people on, ever coincide with a past message. It will not do it!
That's where you have trouble today. Jesus said, "does
any person take a new piece of garment and put it into an old? Or put the new
wine into old bottles? They perish. It bursts them open."
They can't stand it.
MODERN EVENTS 56 We're not
living in a Pentecostal age, we're living in another age. We're living
on up here to the Bride age, the calling out of the church and getting it
together for the rapture. That's the age we're now living.
TURN ON THE
LIGHT 37 Sanctification served it's time till it
come to the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. And the
Baptism of the Holy Ghost has served it's time until the Holy Spirit,
(which there's only one God)...blends into the church, or the church into
Christ, that makes Jesus Christ reflected on the earth , what He promised here
in the Bible. Now, if it has served it’s time it is only
because the baptizer Himself has come.
RAPTURE 15 The Life that come up through Luther was
what made Wesley. The Life that come out of Wesley is what made Pentecost. The Life that come out of Pentecost makes
the Wheat. But they are a carrier. See? The real Life goes through there.
The Message goes through there, but it's heading on up into the wheat.
RAPTURE
40 What if Moses would've come and brought Noah's message,
"we'll build an ark and float down the
ANOINTED ONES 139 Now notice! These fellows appeared...Oh,
you people, don't miss this! These
impostors, impersonators, appeared after the true one had went first! they come
to impersonate. See, they have to!....And the bible said that these guy's
would come out after the-to pervert the original Word, vindicated and proved to
be the truth!
ANOINTED
ONES 195 Notice! Come up to the borderline and quit.
ANOINTED ONES 198 Going to their home, and when they come up to the place to cross
over, they doubted the Word!........What happened? They perished in the
wilderness. They stayed right there and
organized themselves, and died, every one of them,..
ANOINTED ONES 214 "Where the carcass is there will the
eagles be gathered...... Where the fresh meat is, the Word of the Season, there
the eagles will gather." But after
it's rottened then the vultures will swarm to it. See? See what I mean?
When a kill 's made here comes the eagles, but after it lays there and rotten,
then here come the vultures. The eagles won't have nothing to do with it. Jesus
said, "Where the carcass is, where the manna fell, the night the manna falls fresh, there the eagles will gather for
it." That's the manna for the day.
See?
ANOINTED ONES
215 Notice! But after it gets rotten, maggots get in it, then
here comes the vultures. They can't
smell it till it gets rotten.
ANOINTED ONES 219 Said," I AM sent me." I AM, not I was, or will be, I AM, present tense,
the Word now. Not the Word that was
or Word that will come, the Word that's now.
ANOINTED ONES 168 "For it is impossible for those
which were once enlightened and didn't
move on with the Word as it come to pass... They're dead ,gone. Now, what scripture is he quoting?. It’s Hebrews 6.
C.O.D. 658 "If you have been enlightened and then turn
away from your enlightenment, it is impossible for that person to ever regain
his place again. See? "
C.O.D. 510 There remaineth no more sacrifice for sin,
because he took the very blood that sanctified him and brought him this far, to
the knowledge of the truth, and counted it under his feet, after God has led
him step by step up here to the Holy Ghost.
HEBREWS CHPTR 5/6, PG. 193 Friends, let us go on to perfection. We're without
excuse today. We have no excuse at all. The very God of Heaven has Appeared in
these last day and is doing the very same things that He did then, when He was
here before, when he was on earth. He's proved...The things that He done when
He was here on earth, manifest in the flesh, and the very same things are taking
place today, right here among us. Here's the Word to vindicate it. Here's the
thing to say it's right, to make it right. Here's the Spirit of God to do the
same thing, so we're without excuse.
HEBREWS CHPTR
7, PG. 342 If you deliberately see the Holy Spirit do
the things that it did right here this morning, and see that Christ is risen
from the dead (and he's living in His church and Among His people, and you willfully turn it down, it's impossible for you to ever come to God,
'cause you've blasphemed the Holy ghost.

DOING GOD A SERVICE 145 They're trying to eat old
manna that fell back fifty years ago, the Pentecostal church. The holiness
church is trying to, over two hundred years ago, the Lutherans about three
hundred or more years ago, many hundreds of years ago. They're trying to eat old manna. Oh, brother, that stuff is stagnated. It's contaminated. It's got wiggletails in it,
maggots. It'll kill you to eat it.
COUNTDOWN
37-38 But God in the spiritual achievement is going forward, not going
backward. He's going forward, looking into the Word and believing the
promises for the things that never has come yet, for the spiritual revelations
to manifest the spiritual things that God has promised. He says them come to
pass. Just as the scientist in his laboratory are working on different things
to help man take in creation; the spiritual man is looking forward to something
that God promised that has never yet been created. The natural man looks backward. The spiritual man looks forward. That's the way that they got that
in the church. The natural church member
looks back to what Finney, Sankey, know, Calvin...That was all right. But that was their day. We're looking forward for something else.
A promise that's greater and higher and what God has promised. Science goes
back to pick it up. We go forward in the Word of the Lord to find what God has
achieved.
ANOINTED ONES 234 Teaching a historical God, (See)? Just like they're trying to live in the past. Like, "well, Wesley said
so-and-so; so-and-so said so-and-so." You're
refusing the promised Word of the day, the manna that's clearly identified
of the day. They try to put their old Lutheran, Baptist, Pentecostal wines in
our new bottles. It won't work. And our new wine in their old bottles won't
work. If they try to put this new wine in the denomination, their folly is made
manifest. They can't do it; it blows her up.
IDENTIFIED
CHRIST OF ALL AGES 64-0401 Man is always praising God for what He done, always looking forward for
what He will do, and ignoring what He is doing.
THE WORLD FALLING APART 63-0412 And that's the way we
do--Martin Luther, John Wesley, other men. We're always looking back, see. See
those things? And you make a tradition
of their life, garnish the tombs of them. And their message is for another day. By the time you wake up, why that day's done lived by, and we're in
another day. The whole system's worked that way since the beginning. Man made
systems, certainly.
ANOINTED ONES 224
Remember, you couldn't feed a Lutheran back in them days ( you can now)
Catholic carrion. No sir! He had fresh
meat. That was that church age. You couldn't feed Methodist, Lutheran
message. Oh, no! He didn't want that carrion; it's rotten. See? The life had
done left it and went into something else. That's the old stalk that's dead
back there. The Life's moving on. Neither can you feed the Bride of Jesus
Christ Pentecostalism. No indeedy! Maggot blowed organizations, nothing doing!
No, no! For the promise is, "And before that great and terrible day shall
come, I'll send unto you Elijah the prophet. He will restore the hearts of the
children back to the Faith of the fathers again." All these promises have
been made in the Bible, "I will do it," and there the eagles will
gather.
SEED IS NOT
HEIR WITH THE SHUCK 129 Just
as the hawk has long lost his identification as a hawk, so has the church long
lost her identification as a lesser bird brother of the eagles, God's
prophets. Once a carrier of the True Word, Justification, then it become a
carrier of sanctification, then it become a carrier of the Baptism of the Holy
Spirit, restoration of the gifts. But then
when it goes on and keeps going back try to eat something, manna from another
day, it's rotten. It's no good. A genuine eagle of this day knows that was
all right, but we got that plus until Jesus Christ is made manifest in the fullness
of His power as He promised to be in this last day. She is now a dry shuck.
It's passed. The Spirit of God passed through her. It's True. And will not...
she will not be heir with the a-Vindicated seed-Word. She will not be. She'll
not be in the Rapture.
SEED IS NOT
HEIR WITH THE SHUCK 127 Relies on some half rotten, man-made
theology. where does he get it at? In some man-made Sunday school program sheet
some educator killed for him back in some seminary, tell him that, "The
days of miracles is passed; there was no such a thing as the baptism of the
Holy Ghost, all this nonsense". You mean to tell me an eagle would eat
that? He couldn't do it. No, sir! Neither will a Christian eat on that dead
a-carrion from old denominational doctrines and things. They want the Word of
God fresh, the Promise of the Hour.
SEED
IS NOT HEIR WITH THE SHUCK 128 Now He's promised us a full square meal,
the full seven course menu, for all the Seven Seals are opened and everything
is ready for the Word of God, for those who can receive..
SEED IS NOT
HEIR WITH THE SHUCK 125 It's time for the eagles of this day to
get to flying higher, dig into God's
promises, not live on vulture food that's been killed years ago. Get out of
it!
ANOINTED ONES 225 That fulfills Matthew 24:24.
He's flying, jumping up in the air, flopping his wings, but he just can't get
high enough. See? That's right. see, he can't go...He can't reach high enough
to get that fresh manna. He can eat the old manna that's down here on the
ground, the dead old rabbits that's been run over a week ago, and a month ago,
or forty years ago, contamination. He can eat that, and just gloat over it, and
squawk and holler, and carry on, jump up and fly like another eagle, he's
anointed like another bird. And he is a type of an eagle, a buzzard is. We know
that. He sure is! But he can't follow that genuine eagle. See? He just can't do
it. No, sir! His body isn't built; he's
been eating on different carrion. See? And it won't be the fresh meat, the fresh manna, it'd be something that
Luther said, or doctor so and so said. It won't be on what Jesus said for this
hour.
SPIRITUAL
AMNESIA 64-0411 You've seen your last sign, Pentecost.
Don't get mixed up now with what He promised

LOOKING UNTO JESUS 190 We are beyond Pentecost, the
same as we are Methodist and Lutheran. We're way up to the coming of the Lord,
where the ministry that Jesus Christ exercised, Himself, has to be exactly. Like the headstone on the pyramid has to be
so honed till every stone fits perfectly. And the church has got to get into that condition to receive the
headstone,...
GREATER THAN
SOLOMON 102 But the
church is always looking back.
SHALOM 26 Now today, as we face new year's, I want
to think of not like the past, but I want to look to the future. See? As Paul
said, "Forgetting
those things that are in the past, I press towards the mark,
see, of the high calling." And as it's expressed, like looking
back through the mirror of a car. We are looking what we have passed, when
we're looking in the rear-view mirror. Now we're not trying to place the message
today as looking through a rear-view mirror. It would take too long, see? The
things that the Lord has did. And you are all acquainted with the great things
that our Lord has been doing, is some of the mightiest things that I've ever
seen in my Life, He just-just passing in the last few months. And, but now we
are thankful for what has been, but now we are looking forward. We're looking
where we are headed for,..
TURN ON THE
LIGHT 40 And why the people could not see that, was,
it seems strange to us now, because we are looking back through a rear-view
mirror. But did you ever know, if you keep looking back that way, you'll wreck?
Let's look what's ahead of us.
SHALOM 43 Not looking back, but we're looking
forward to the breaking of a new day. Until, there is something great laying
ahead of us, where the years has been the joy that we've looked forward to, the
pressing, coming of the great Light. And now we can see it breaking over the
horizontal realm, it's breaking between mortal and immortality.
SHALOM 92 We're looking forward, not looking back.
Looking here, what has been, and we want to know what's going to be. And we're
looking for that hour, pressing for it.
GREATER THAN SOLOMON 140 Anybody who drives, looking
through a rear-view mirror, has a wreck. And that's what's the matter with the
church today, it's looking through a rear-view mirror, to what it was. No
wonder it's wrecked up.
GOD IS HIS OWN
INTERPRETER 38 And as I was preaching a few weeks ago,
"Living in the glare." A glare is a mirage, the sun reflecting
itself, and it's false. And any glare of another age is a false reflection. The
people are always walking in something that happened years ago. The Lutheran
are walking in a Lutheran glare. Luther's sunlight was fine in his day; Wesley
was good in his day; the Pentecostal was good in it's day. We're going on up
the ladder, we're living in another age! We're going on, we can't keep looking
back.
SIRS, WE WOULD SEE JESUS 64-0318 You're always looking back,
referring to what somebody else did back there. When we're commanded to look
forward, keep going on. Their prophecy happened in their day, this happens in
this day, next happened in the next day. It's allotted out to the end-time. And
there's things that's supposed to be going on now, according to the
Scripture-the Holy Spirit on earth poured out upon the people.
SEED IS NOT
HEIR WITH THE SHUCK 115 The church depending on it's food for
education and so forth, a dead diet that died years ago through Luther, and
Wesley, and the Pentecostals, and gone on. It's looking back for some man made
creed, instead of flying up in the heavenlies of the Word where all things are
possible to them that believe.
GOD RICH IN MERCY 192 If a man comes out with an odd peculiar
ministry, that's found in the Bible to be the Truth, and that man stays right
in that same old denominational doctrine, forget it. Nothing to it! God don't
do a thing like that. That thing, that's rotten manna that's got termites in
it, or wiggletails, or whatever you want to call it, from forty, fifty years
ago, still trying to eat that old manna, on their journey, new manna fell every
night. That's right. You couldn't keep it over.
BROKEN CISTERNS
132 And when God promised that He would vindicate this Word in
every generation, "For the promise is unto you and your children, and them
that's far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call." why would you
pump on some systematic pump that's been contaminated for years, from some old
manna? Maybe that manna was all right, nothing against it, in the days of
Martin Luther, in the days of this and the days of that, and the other reformers,
nothing about it; but that's manna that fell a long time ago.
GOD'S PROVIDED PLACE OF WORSHIP 156 The messenger to the church
always comes just at the dying of the other church age, always. The dying of
the Pentecost brings forth the rapture of the Bride. See? The dying of Luther
brought forth Wesley. See? The dying of Wesley brought forth Pentecost. The
dying of Pentecost brings forth the Message now.
GOD IN
SIMPLICITY 4 Many miss Him by the way He reveals
Himself. Now, man has their own ideas of what God ought to be and what God is
going to do; and as I have made the old statement many times that man still
remains man. man is always giving God praise for what He did do, and always
looking forward to what He will do, and ignoring what He is doing.
Notice this morning that we read in Galatians 1: Paul
rebuked going backwards perverting vindicated Gospel. And in Galatians 2:
Paul confronted other Apostles who seemed to be pillars because they too were
caught up into going backwards. And then if we read on in Galatians 3: If the Word doesn't do it, it isn't going to
get done. And in Galatians 4: we see that by going backwards they have lost
their blessing. And yet it is also in the book of Galatians Paul speaks of
adoption of sons. So we see they will miss this by looking back.
And let’s look at the first exodus
when the children of the promise came up to the promise. Let’s see what the
warning was in that day. Deuteronomy:
12:
(2) NIV
Destroy
completely all the places on the high mountains and on the hills and under
every spreading tree where the nations you are dispossessing worship their
gods. 3) Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and burn their
asherah poles in the fire; cut down the idols of their gods and wipe out their
names from those places. 4) You must not worship the Lord your God in their
way. 5) But you are to seek the place the Lord your God will choose from among
all your tribes to put His name there for His dwelling. To that place you must
go; 6) there bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special
gifts, what you have vowed to give and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn
of your herds and flocks. 7) There in the presence of the Lord your God, you
and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your
hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you. 8) You are not to do as we
do here today, every man as he sees fit, since you have not yet reached the
resting place and the inheritance the Lord your God is giving you. 13) be
careful not to sacrifice your burnt offerings anywhere you please. 14) Offer
them only at the place the Lord your God will choose in one of your tribes, and
there observe everything I command you.
Now let me read some other
Scriptural warnings of the same.
Hebrews
10:26-38 Paul
tell us those who draw back do so to perdition.
Notice that in 2 Pet 2:1-4 we are told that false teachers bring in alongside true
doctrine, destructive heresies causing the people to go backwards into Pentecostal
Mechanics like Balaam and forsake the Vindicated Word. vs 22 day old food =
vomit and wallow.
And we see in Heb 11:15
that if the people would have thought about the country they had left, it would
have created opportunity to return.
And in Leviticus 25 we see that the Gospel trumpet
sounds Jubilee we go free unless we love bondage, then enter more fully into
his bondage than before.
97 Anointed Ones But Moses the true sent prophet from God,
commissioned by God, he never fussed with them, said, "here, you can't do that
!you can't...." He just let them alone, just let them go on. They're
organizational prophets, but go ahead. Moses just went right on, listened to
God.
138 Anointed Ones Did
Moses fuss at them and say, "Here, here, you can't do that. I'm the
only one's been ordained to do that. Here, you stop that right now!" He
just let them go, let them go on. Remember, the Bible said, "As their
folly was made manifest, so will these in the last day be made manifest,
"when the bride is raptured and taken in the sky.
153 Anointed Ones Why would
He let an impersonator rise up to do it and do the same exactly the genuine
Spirit of God done? See, the scripture must be fulfilled. Notice! He did this
so that He would harden the heart of pharoah and the Egyptians. To prove that
Moses wasn't the only one who had the Word, they could do everything just the
same as Moses could do. And why did God let this thing happen in the last days?
So the same thing as the lying spirit said to Zedicaiah." How we going to
get Ahab out there to make these things come to pass?" How is He going to
get these people trusting in their churches
that He predicted that, in this Laodicean church age? "Because thou saith
thou art rich and have need of nothing. ..."
HE CARES DO YOU 59. Man is always praising God for what He did. Praising God for what He will do (looking forward to what He
will do), and then ignore what He's
doing. See, they fail! And that's the way they become history after a
while, of the polluted, see, because they fail to recognize now! You can talk
of the comfort Christ give once, and say what a comfort He will give in the
ages to come, but refused the comfort that He's got here now for you.
