Spoken Word no. 195
“The Harlot has multiple husbands, The Bride
has one”
Brian Kocourek, Pastor
October 13th, 2010
66
Now, now, watch, God confirmed His Word
through His body. Is that right? Then she
went whoring like Adam's wife did in Eden, and Jehovah's wife did in the days of Samuel, that took a king, divorced God, her espoused Husband, and His
Word, and His prophet (His outlet to His Word), and went
whoring like the rest of the nations; and God
divorced her. Same has He done today: same act.
67
Sons of the bride commit adultery
(See?) with the bride. Now, look, that is an awful thing, she making love to
her children. That is what the apostle Paul had to turn a young man over to the
devil for in 2 Corinthians because this young man took his fathers wife. But
brother Branham is speaking here of a son of the bride making love to his own
mother.
And that is the history of the Catholic church. And if
you do a historical check you will find many of the Roman Pontiff’s had illicit
sexual behaviors, that are so sickening that Bill Clinton would look innocent
by comparison.
But brother Branham continues, God's Son... His
bride from Pentecost, virgin with the
Word, went whoring and committed adultery just like Adam's wife did, just like Jehovah's wife did; and here's the Son's wife, she goes whoring,
committing adultery with the Roman gods (plural), gods, and for her lovers' sake, the
Roman gods, tried to take her own
husband and split Him into three to please her lovers. God have mercy
on them. Sure. They got hundreds of gods, oh sure, Astarte the sun god, and
Baalim the sun god, and the queen of heaven, and all that stuff there. So the bride, to please her ill-famed lovers...
(And notice he said it with a
plural. Lovers, not just lover.)
Didn't
God speak over there in the Songs of Solomon and tell about how his wife was nothing but a prostitute
and setting with herself open all the time and took every lover that come by. I'm talking plain, but that's what
the Bible said. Every man that wanted to
run with her, could run with her. That's
the same thing the bride of Christ has done: opened up herself to every old
dirty, filthy habit of every
organization they ever had, doing the same thing.
68
I'm going to get criticized for this. That's all right; I'm going to be blessed
for it too. But that's going to be the Truth, God's Truth, 'cause He wants it
said, and here, I'm trying my best to say it. See?
Look the history of the
Brother Branham continues
in paragraph 69
She tried to please her many lovers.
Uh-huh. Doing so she hybrid, tried to
hybrid with their lovers, the Word
of God; so it would not work, so she said, "Denounce that," and made her own Word. Now, she claims to be the Word herself. But don't let Protestants
call Catholics, 'cause they do the same in the council of their own churches: whoring. No wonder they're called harlots.
That's rough, isn't it? That shook the skin off your back, but that's what it
takes to do to wake you up sometimes. See? Right.
70
That's exactly what she done. She left
Jesus, the Word-Husband, and like Samuel, they left Samuel and took
Saul, left the prophet anointed with the Word and took a King with a scepter; when she finally would've come to the king
the scepter in the millennium, but now she's rejected... He went to the
Gentiles for a Bride. Is that right? That's
the Word. Now, she left Jesus, the Word: Jesus, the Word, and married another man called the pope with
dogma. Now, she hasn't got Jesus; she's
got a pope. Now, we haven't got--the Protestant hasn't got Jesus; it's got
a denomination (See?), same thing, a
image unto the beast.
Notice brother Branham tells us that Like Eve who wanted
to please two men, accepted love from two husbands and thus brought forth a
hybridized seed. Brother Branham is telling us and what happened in the Garden
of Eden, is that Eve, was not satisfied with one husband, she wanted multiple
husbands, and that is where she erred.
Genesis 3: 9 God called to the Man: "Where are
you?" 10 He said, "I heard you in the garden
and I was afraid because I was naked. And I hid." 11
God said, "Who told you you
were naked? Did you eat from that tree I told you not to eat from?" 12
The Man said, "The Woman you gave me as a companion, she gave me fruit
from the tree, and, yes, I ate it." God
said to the Woman, "What is this that you've done?" 13
"The serpent seduced me," she said, "and I ate." 14-15
God told the serpent: "Because
you've done this, you're cursed, cursed beyond all cattle and wild animals, Cursed
to slink on your belly and eat dirt all your life. I'm declaring war
between you and the Woman, between your offspring and hers. He'll
wound your head, you'll wound his heel." 16
He told the Woman: "I'll multiply your pains in childbirth; you'll
give birth to your babies in pain. You'll want to please your
husband, but he'll lord it over you."
And that is exactly where the church is today. They do
not want the Son of God for their husband, they want him and his own Father,
and so just as Br. Branham said Jesus Bride made him into three husbands, the
Church today, the believers in the Message have taken their husband and Jesus and made him his own Father and they
claim to be the bride of a man that is both husband and father. Talk about a
twisted belief? Just as the bride after
Paul’s day went a whoring after multiple husbands, three of them, Father, Son
and Holy Ghost, so too has the end time Message Bride so called, chased after
to husbands. Why? Because they are not satisfied to know that the Son of God is
not God, but the son of God, and that is not good enough for her. So she claims
he is his own father, so her lust is for two husbands instead of the one true
husband that she is ordained to marry and bring forth children,
And then on top of that she herself claims to be the
Word, for she will not take His Word as Her Lord and Master, but she holds to
her Word as well. And let me tell you sisters, any woman that thinks her words
is better than her husbands word has missed with mark with God altogether.
Because God said, the Husband is the head of the wife.
Now, he means what he says, and he says what he means.
Jehovah
Jireh 3 64-0404 P:46 And Abraham said, "I pray thee, Sarah,
you show this kindness to me. You're fair to look upon." Oh... Said,
"When you get down there, you say I'm your brother, and I'll say that
you're my sister, 'cause if you don't they'll kill me and take you." See,
they. So then She couldn't have two husbands, at the same time. One of these days
I'm going to preach on that. Then you talk about serpent's seed stirring
something up, you wait till this comes out.
Invisible
union of the bride 65-1125 P:19 Paul, here, is giving an illustration in
our Scriptures about the law and grace and illustrating it like marriage and
divorce. This passage is very seldom preached on, because it more or less
pertains to, like marriage and divorce; but it also pertains to a greater
portion of marriage and divorce, of how that he's trying to set in order here,
that we as a church, can no more be
married to the world and to Christ at the same time and be legal and lawful
about it, than it can be for a woman to
be living with a husband while she's got a living husband. I have my own
thoughts of that, and I believe that what the Bible says is the Truth. Now...
But I believe also... Is to my belief that it unfolds one of the great
mysteries of prophecy. And I hope that the Lord will help us tonight, as we
deliver this to our waiting people across the country.
Third
seal the 63-0320 P:59 Read Revelation 17, and the Bible said that he would burn her
with fire and all of her children with her. That's right. That means every
organizational system will burn with the whore. Now, that sounds flat but...
And I know you'll hear from it, and I want to hear from it. And I... That's right
through. The Bible said so, so that makes it right. Yes, sir. She became a
whore. You can read it in Revelations
the 17th chapter. She... What did she do? She committed fornication against her own
husband. "Well," you say, "no." That's the Bible. The
Word is God. And if you take one thing... Would
you want your wife kissing some other man? If she didn't do no more than
that, you wouldn't want her doing it. She'd prove her un-trueness. "Whosoever shall take one word away from it
or add one to it..." Hallelujah.
And when brother Branham speaks of the woman at the well, he says, We would see Jesus 62-0727 P:66 This woman come out. Now, she was a woman of bad reputation. Now,
if we was going to say today, we'd say, "the lady of the red light,"
or something. Here's what was the matter with her. She had too many husbands. She'd
had five husbands, and she was living with one then. So it wasn't hers.
So what is brother Branham driving at here. The point
is this.
Romans
7: 1 Know
ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law
hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2 For
the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as
he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law
of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be
called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that
law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another
man. 4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the
law by the body of Christ; that ye
should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead,
that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
So the Apostle Paulo confirms here that our marriage
is to Christ Jesus the Son of God who was raised from the dead by God His
Father. So what brother Branham is telling us then in these few but graphic
paragraphs is that when we claim to be the bride of Christ and play the field
we are committing adultery against our Mate (Christ) the revealed Word.
And remember, in Numbers 5: 12 Speak
unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and
commit a trespass against him, 13 And a man lie
with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept
close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be
taken with the manner; 14 And the spirit of
jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or
if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she
be not defiled: 15 Then shall the man bring his
wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part
of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense
thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing
iniquity to remembrance. 16 And the priest shall
bring her near, and set her before the LORD: 17 And
the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is
in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water: 18 And the priest shall set the woman before
the LORD, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her
hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand
the bitter water that causeth the curse: 19 And the
priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain
with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead
of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse: 20 But
if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be
defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband: 21 Then
the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall
say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people,
when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell; 22 And this water that causeth
the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh
to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen. 23 And
the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with
the bitter water: 24 And he shall cause the woman
to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth
the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter. 25 Then
the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall
wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar: 26 And
the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof,
and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water. 27 And when he hath made her to drink the
water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done
trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter
into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall
rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. 28 And
if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall
conceive seed. 29 This is the law of jealousies,
when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;
30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be
jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest
shall execute upon her all this law. 31 Then shall
the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.
The Law of the Jealousy can basically be summed up
this way, “if the husband suspected his wife to have been unfaithful, he would
take her to the priest and the priest would have her to drink of a potion,
which would bless her if she were innocent, but would cause her belly to swell
and her thighs to rot if she were guilty. The potion did not make her innocent
or guilty, but it only revealed her true condition and brought into
manifestation her true condition.
Now then what is this potion that God gives her? It is
His Word, and in drinking her Word it will bring into manifestation her
condition. Either she is as Paul said a chaste virgin to Christ or she is not.
Either she is innocent or she is guilty of adultery.
Therefore, God uses the Law of jealousy to bring into
manifestation the real and true nature of the seed. If they are of God, they
will manifest their trueness to Him and His Word, and if they are not that will
also manifest itself for they will produce offspring with a different nature
than the nature of her true husband Christ.
As brother Branham said, “Son of God seed will produce
sons of God.” And if we are espoused to Christ then we ought to live out or
manifest the role that has been given to us to play. And as a wife Peter said
in 1 Peter 3: 1 Likewise, ye wives,
be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the
word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit
yourselves unto your own husbands,
as it is fit in the Lord. Now, just
because you are a sister doesn’t mean you have to submit yourself to the
brothers, but you do have to submit yourself to your own husband or to your own
father if you are not married. Too many women enter into their marriage vow
without really thinking of what that vow means.
Ephesians 5: 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives
be to their own husbands in every thing. Being in a
position or in circumstances that place one under the power or authority of
another or others: And when you
take that vow to honor and obey your husband you will be held accountable to
that vow. No one forced you to do that. No one held a gun to your head and told
you to honor and obey, but you said it before a company of witnesses and you
will be held accountable to what you vowed.
Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the sight of
God, and in the face of this company of witnesses to join together this man and
this woman in holy matrimony, which is commanded by
Then the
pastor addresses the bride and groom as thus: I will also require of you both, as you will surely
answer at the day of judgment when the secrets of all hearts shall be
disclosed, that if either of you know any reason why you should not be lawfully
joined together in this matrimony, that you now confess it; For of a certainty
you shall know that any couple who are
joined otherwise than God's Word allows, their marriage is not lawful. But
rightfully believing that you have considered this serious obligation that you
are about to assume, and you have
prepared yourselves to enter into this marriage reverently, discreetly, soberly, and in the fear of God, I shall propose to you the marriage covenant. You will declare the
same as you join your right hands together.
Paul said in, Ephesians 5: 22-33 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For
the husband is the head of the wife,
even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore
as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the
wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands,
love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water
by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious
church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be
holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as
their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no
man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the
Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh,
and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and
mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak
concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless
let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the
wife see that she reverence her husband.
Pastor to the groom: Will you have this woman to be your lawful wedded
wife, to live together in this holy state of matrimony; do you promise to honor,
love and cherish her, in sickness and health, riches or poverty, and will forsake all others and cleave thee only
unto her as long as you both live? The
groom answers, "I will.”
Pastor to the Bride: Will you have this man to be your lawful
wedded husband, to live together in this holy state of matrimony; do you
promise to love, honor, and obey him, in sickness and health, and forsake all others and cleave thee only unto him as long as you
both live? [The bride answers, "I will.”]
And in the prayer over the couple brother Branham
would pray, Father, we pray that You will bless this man and woman, who have
found love in their hearts, one for the other. And in this reckless age that we
live, where there are so many divorce and broken homes, we pray that it would
not be so with this couple. May they
remember their vows as long as they live. May there be no powers that would
ever separate them.
Now, Paul also said in Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit
yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. And the word submit,
means: To yield or surrender (oneself)
to the will or authority of another: And that does not include trying
to have the last word. And I am afraid that many women in this message have no
clue as to what it means to submit. They have the spirit of the age rather than
the Holy Spirit leading them, because if the Holy Spirit was truly leading them
they would just shut up and not express their own opinions when the husband speaks.
And what is a marriage without Love. And what will love do for any
marriage?
1 Peter 4: 8 And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love
shall cover the multitude of sins.
And Paul said of Love.
1 Corinthians
13; 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity
envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth
not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil;6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but
rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things,
believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.8 Charity
never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there
be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Romans
12:9 Let
love be without dissimulation. (In other
words, let love be sincere and unfeigned or unpretentious. Not a put on; not a
show for others; but genuine between husband and wife.) Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which
is good. 10 Be kindly affectioned one to another
with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11 Not slothful in business;
fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12 Rejoicing
in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13 Distributing
to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. 14 Bless
them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15 Rejoice
with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. 16 Be
of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to
men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17 Recompense to no man evil
for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If
it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place
unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him;
if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on
his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome
evil with good.
1
Corinthians 7:29 But this I say, brethren, the
time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they
had none;30 And they that weep, as though they wept
not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as
though they possessed not;31 And they that use this
world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.32 But
I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the
things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: 33 But he that is married
careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
