Spoken Word no. 237
“Harmony with God”
Brian Kocourek, Pastor
April 3rd, 2011
Let us stand for the reading of the Word. Revelation
1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and
the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
Revelation
19:9 And he saith unto me,
Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the
Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Revelation
14:13 And I heard a voice
from heaven saying unto me, Write,…
Revelation
21:5b And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and
faithful.
Habakkuk 2:2
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it
plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Hebrews 8:10 For
this is the covenant that I will make with the house of
John 5:47
But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
This morning we have
several beautiful paragraphs to read from The Spoken Word is the Original Seed, It is where
brother Branham tells us how the Holy Spirit commanded him to take up his pen
and write what the Holy Spirit was about to tell him.
I began with our text
from quite a few Scriptures this morning because one of the arguments that so
many website ministers have used against Brother Branham accusing him of being
false because he said the “Holy Spirit told him to take up his pen and write”.
Therefore having read more than half a dozen Scriptures and I could have read
dozens more, but to save time, it is very apparent that on many occasions the
Holy Spirit spoke to His servants and told them to take up their pen and write.
So with this in mind, let’s go to our study of Brother Branham’s sermon, The
Spoken Word is the original Seed, and we will pick up at paragraph 170.
PP. 170 Is it two o'clock yet? I know it. I'm going to read some
then. Let me read just for about ten minutes, will you? I got a good notion; I
could stay here, but I just better move on a little bit here, and we've
got--our time. It's just twenty-five minutes until five, I don't know what time
we'll get in
171
Now, listen close. Here's what I picked
up the pen for, part of it. Do you see, friends, the way I have stood the way I
have? See why I am contending, get away from them denominations and get a real
I want you to listen real close to this.
Here's where the Spirit said, "Pick up the pen." I'll have to leave
some of it go, but I've got to bring some of it to you.
172
All right. Now, here is what I'm trying to say to you: The law of reproduction bring forth of its
kind (Genesis 1:11). These last days, true church Bride comes
to the Headstone, will be the super
church, a super race. As they near the great Headstone they will be much like, so much like Him, even they will be in His very image in the order to be united with Him. They
will be One. They will be the very
manifestation of the Word of the living God. Denominations can never
produce this. They will produce their creeds and dogmas mixed with the Word and
brings a hybrid product.
173
The first son was spoken Seed Word of
God. He was given a bride (I'm just reviewing the Spirit, and I was picking
up what I said. See?) a bride to produce
himself. She fell. (See, that's what the bride was given, to produce himself again another son of God,
but she fell by hybreeding. See?)--produced himself, but she fell: caused him
to die. The second Son, a spoken Seed-Word
of God was given a bride like Adam, but
before He could marry her, she had fallen also; for she was put to a free
moral agency like Adam's wife was: to
believe God's Word and live, or doubt It and die; and she did.
174
Then from a little group of the true
Seed of the Word, God will present Christ a beloved Bride, a Virgin, a Virgin
of His Word. And through them and by
them will be fulfilled all that has been promised for His Word in the Virgin,
who knows no manmade creeds or dogmas.
The Word of promise in Himself like
it was in Mary, God Himself made
manifest... He will act Himself by His own Word of promise so to fulfill all
that has been written of Him. As He did when He came from the virgin womb (type
of the spirit womb now), so will the Virgin now, accepting His Word: "Be it unto me as Thou has said,"
though it was said by an Angel while it yet was the written Word (Isaiah 9:6).
They will love Him (love His), and will
have His potentials, for He is their
Head, and they are His subjects,
subject to His Head. Headship of Christ was His.
175
Notice, what harmony. Jesus never did anything until seen of
the Father or the Father showed Him first: (Harmony between God and Christ. See? John
5:19) So will the Bride,
and He shows Her His Word of Life
(He shows Her), and she receives It. She never doubts
it. Nothing can harm Her, not even
death; for if the Seed be planted, the
water will raise it up again. Amen. (Now, I got a great big "Hallelujah.") Here is the secret: (1) the Word is in the Bride and (2) the mind of Christ (3) to
know what He wants done with the Word, and (4) She does it in His Name. (5) She
has THUS SAITH THE LORD. Then it is germitized; so the Holy Spirit waters it until it is
grown and serves its purpose. (6)They do only His will. (Amen. I'll believe that.) No one can
persuade them different. They have THUS
SAITH THE LORD, or they keep still. (7) Then they
will do the works of God. For it is
Himself in them, continuing His Word to fulfill as He did complete in His
day. All things when He was here--He did
not complete all when He was here, for it was not time yet.
Now, this morning I would like to break this down into
seven facts that Br. Branham is presenting to the Bride of Christ in this hour.
Notice brother Branham says, “Here is the secret”: Then he begins to lay out seven steps to this
secret harmony between God and His first born son, because this is the same
harmony that will be between God and the last day sons.
(No. 1) the Word is in the Bride: Notice he tells us that the Word is in the Bride, and
that is exactly what Jesus prayed for before going to the cross for his
brethren.
John
17:8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known
surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send
me.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these
are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name
those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world
hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the
world.
22 And the glory
(the doxa, the opinions, the values,
the judgments) which thou gavest me I have given them; that
they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made
perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast
loved them, as thou hast loved me.
1
John 2:20 But
ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I
have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is
of the truth.
2
Thessalonians 1:10 When
he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that
believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our
God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of
his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be
glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord
Jesus Christ.
Peter prophesied that this Glory, this Word, would
come by revelation at the time of the Apokalupsis of our Lord Jesus Christ at
His Appearing which is His parousia, or great Presence among us in this hour. 1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore
gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace
that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
The apostle Paul told us that God would descend with a
Message which is His word to declare Himself by. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 But
I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep,
that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For
if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in
Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say
unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the
coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For
the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so
shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1
Corinthians 1:3 Grace
be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the
grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; 5 That
in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; 6 Even as the testimony of Christ was
confirmed in you: 7 So that ye come behind in no
gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: 8 Who
shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our
Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom ye
were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 10 Now
I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all
speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be
perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Now, I hope you caught what the apostle Paul was
telling us. He said that the Spirit of Grace would come like fertilizer on a
seed, to take us from seed form to fully mature manifested son form, and in the
process it would bring us into one mind, which is the Mind of Christ.
And that brings us to point (No. 2) where brother Branham
said, “and She has the mind of Christ”…
The Apostle Paul told us in Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: So
we must ask ourselves how is it possible to have the mind of Christ?
And in 1 Peter 4:1 we read, “Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for
us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise
with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from
sin;”
And he gives us our
answer in 1
Corinthians 2 where the apostle Paul
expounds more on having the mind of Christ, and he declares to us how it is
possible to have the mind of Christ. and how it can not come without having the
same spirit that was in Christ.
1 Corinthians 2: 9 But
as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath
revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for The Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the
spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but The Spirit of God knows. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit
of the world, but The Spirit which is of
God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which
man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual
things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can
he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned. 15 But
he that is spiritual judgeth all
things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who
hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind
of Christ.
So we see that only way we can have the same mind is if we have the mind
of Christ. And we found Paul teaching us
here that the only way we can have the mind that was in Christ is that we have
the same Spirit that he had, which is the Spirit of God.
In Romans 12:16 we are told “Be of the same mind one toward another.
Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your
own conceits.”
And in Philippians 1:27 “Only let your conversation be as it becometh
the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may
hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;”
Ephesians
4:23 And be renewed in the
spirit of your mind;
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
And in Hebrews 8:10 “For
this is the covenant that I will make with the house of
And again we see in Philippians 2:2 “Fulfil
ye my joy, that ye be likeminded,
having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.”
And Paul tells us why it is necessary that we all have the same mind in Romans 15:6 That ye may with one mind and one
mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. glorify God… endoxazo God, to manifest or magnify in our flesh the
opinions, values, and judgments of God.
And in 2 Corinthians 13:11 Paul
says, “Finally,
brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall
be with you.
And in a day when men are losing their minds the Apostle Paul tell us
that we shall keep ours through Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all
understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus.
Because it is God who is writing His Word into our hearts, because He
promised he would do it. Hebrews 10:16 This
is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and
in their minds will I write them;”
In the mean time the greatest battle ever fought is for control of your
mind as we see in 2 Corinthians 4:4 In
whom the god of this world hath blinded
the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel
of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
And again in 2 Corinthians 11:3 But
I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the
simplicity that is in Christ. Now
from the deep, deep things, but from the simplicity that is in Christ.
But we are warned that the mind can be a very vain thing, as the apostle
Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:17 This
I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other
Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their
mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from
the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness
of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have
given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
And finally we see in 2 Corinthians 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same
vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away
in Christ.
So far we see of the first two things brother Branham
called the secret of God, he said, Here is the
secret: (1) the
Word is in the Bride and (2) the mind
of Christ.
Now, then, what good would it do if we have the Word
of God, and we have the mind of Christ, if we do not know what to do with the
Word that was given to us from our Father who descended from heaven with a Shout
which is a message. Remember, Jesus said he gave us the Word God had given Him
that we might be one. And what is the purpose of being one if we do not do
anything with this oneness?
So that brings us to point (No. 3)
to know what He wants done with the Word,
Not to know what we want to do with His Word that He
gave us, but what He wants for us to do with it. That is exactly what Jesus
said in
Let us pray…
