13:18 Hear
ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When
any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then cometh the wicked one,
and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received
seed by the way side. Now, this parable ought to show you just how important
it is to understand the Word of God which has been sown by the Son of Man in
this day.
Now, verse 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is
he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receives it; 21 Yet hath he no root in
himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution
arises because of the word, by and by he is offended. Notice this one
has no root. In other words, because he is not planted by the
Now, verse 22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that
heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. Notice it is not the Word that becomes unfruitful, but
the person who received the Word becomes unfruitful. Now, when Jesus saw that
the tree did not produce fruit he cursed it and it dried up and died. So these
people are in danger of the curse. And what caused it? The cares of this world
choke the word preventing the Word from manifesting fruit in the persons life.
23 But
he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understands it; which also produces
fruit, and brings forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. So here we see that understanding
the Word produces fruit in our lives, more in some than in others, but in all
who understand the Word it does provide fruit.
Now, let’s go further with this and look at the next
parable Jesus tells us here about the sowing of the Word in the End-time by the
Son of Man. 24 Another
parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of
heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But
while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his
way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then
appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir,
didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He
said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou
then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up
also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of
harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind
them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Now, in this parable we see that in the same field two
different kinds of seeds are sown. Brother Branham describes these two
different seed forms of life as thus from the Spoken Word is the Original Seed.
69 And
some fell among thorns; and... sprang up with it, and choked it. See,
what was that? He goes ahead and tells that some as soon as they get to be...
I'm not going to pull one punch today on nothing. Just what I think the
Christian Business Men, and the rest of them of these Pentecostal
organizations, and these people that's building all these big millions of
dollars of things, the riches of the world has choked out the glory and Spirit
of God. Dying because it's choked. The world, care of the world, has choked
them out.

The women wants to be active, and
bob off their hair, and have water head haircuts, wear shorts, and look like
the rest of the world. The preacher stands in the pulpit, practice their
"ah-mens" and afraid of the
Word of God because of a meal ticket. If they can't ride a Cadillac they're
not even considered spiritual anymore. That's right. If they can't dress in the
best of clothes and do everything else, they're considered: "They are
backslid. They're not so-and-so." An old man back there, old Brother Kidd,
told me this morning they don't want him no more, because he's old and he stays
right with the Word. What's the matter? They
lack moisture. All right. And fell on... And others fell on good
ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit... when
he had said these things, he cried, He that hath (an) ear to hear, let him
hear. Oh what a parable. How I could like to preach a text on that
now, a sermon. When He had said these things... the 8th chapter the 8th verse
and 8th chapter. ...others fell on good ground,
and sprang up, and bare fruit a hundredfold. And when he had said these things,
he cried... (screamed out, something maybe like this
when He said, "Bring forth a hundredfold. He that
hath an ear let him hear." In other words, if your ear's in tune with
God, let him hear. See?) ... his disciples asked him, saying, What
might this parable be? And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries
of the kingdom... (The mysteries... See what He's talking
about here? Now, watch. What is the mysteries of the kingdom? Watch just a
minute.)... mysteries of the
Furthermore, these two seed forms are different seed life that is in the
church or the field at the end-time. Now, since a seed is a carrier of a
specific nature or life, we can then see that there are two different life’s of
spirits that will be in the church comingling at the end-time. Therefore, what
I wish to speak on this morning is the
two seeds that were sown, one being the children of the kingdom or sons and
daughters of God, and the other are the children of the wicked one.
Matthew 13:
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the
kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Therefore being that they were sown into the same field from two
different sources, we have Twins. And brother Branham defined TWINS as one
mother with two fathers.
From his sermon, POWER OF TRANSFORMATION
65-1031M 135 There's always twins. And that's the reason... Don't forget this,
little flock. The church in the last
days is going to be twins, so close
that'd deceive the elected: Matthew 24:24. See? The church is going...
It's a Pentecostal move. It's so much
like the real thing, till it would deceive the very elected if it was
possible. And a little later on, if I get the chance, I want to explain what,
how that election comes. See, it's going
to deceive them, because it's almost like the same thing. See, just two fathers, that's all; same
mother, same church, same movement, same thing. The bedding ground is the same, where
the Word falls; but one of them, like here, is perverted. You
understand? Say "amen" if you did see. [Congregation says,
"Amen."--Ed.] See, one of them is a perversion, because it's the wrong father. Which, I will
prove someday, if God will let me, that denomination is the mark of the beast.
See, it's a wrong father. He's steering
people to an organization instead of to the Word. See? It's the wrong
father. It's a Cain move.
If the bedding ground is the same, and if the church is the same, and if
the movement is the same, then this tells us that right here in this message
there will be two spirit that are so close that it could deceive the very elect
if it were possible. So it is imperative for us to understand what these two
spirits are that are so close that they act the same, talk the same, worship
the same, make the same sacrifices, etc., but it is imperative that we can
identify what that wrong spirit is that we be not deceived. Because if you do
not understand this message, you will not bring forth fruit unto it. But it is
not an altogether mental cognition we are talking about, but a dynamic
revelation of what this Message is all about.
Remember, the wise virgins heard the midnight cry but so did the foolish
virgins as well. They both heard the Voice and both came out from where they
were to see what it was all about, but only one had the oil in her vessel. One
had the Holy Spirit and the others did not.
Now, this morning we are looking at these two spirits that are to be so close that it would deceive the
very elect if it were possible. Notice he said that these two spirits have the
same mother, but different fathers, so they will have different natures, and
yet the same mother, or same movement or same church. Now, this is important to
understand because we are dealing with deception, and it isn’t that the
deception is some diabolical plot, but what we see here is that there are two
forms of life that come forth at every revival. One is born again, spirit
filled, while the other is not, just simply a carnal believer. Now, being that
they are a carnal believer does not mean that they do evil things. It means
they simply have it in there head but not in their soul. Mentally they can hear
the Message, and being intelligent people they can rationally believe it, and
mimic it in their words and actions, but they truly do not have it in their
hearts. And the hearts is where the soul abides, so we can say it is not a
spiritual birth to them, just a mental recognition.
Now, this is the condition the people were in when brother Branham left
the scene. From his sermon, God's only provided place of worship 65-1128M P:20 I
believe the church is begin to hear the message, and beginning to understand.
But, friends, listen, we've got to lay in the Presence of the Son; we've got to
be ripened. Our--our faith isn't ripe. Intellectually we're hearing the message
that God has give us, and seeing the signs that He showed us, and proving it by
the Bible as that; but, oh, how the church needs to lay in His Presence till it
tenders up, you know, and gets sweet in the Spirit so that it can bathe down.
Sometimes in speaking the message, you get harsh, have to break it in like
that, because you've got to clinch a nail to make it hold. But when the church once gets it, the Elected
is called out and separated then in the Presence of God, I know it'll be
something like the people was there when it takes its rapture.
So we must come to this sweet spirit which is none other than the Holy
Spirit life reflecting itself out of each and everyone of us who are elect.
From brother Branham’s sermon, Mark of the beast 61-0217 P:31 he says, Now, therefore the great
church making itself ready. We find out that Esau and Jacob, before either
child was born, God said He loved one and hated the other. And remember, they
were twins: same mother, same father. Get it? Twins. Every revival produces twins. Certainly does. There's twins born in natural man and the
spiritual man. It was back in the garden of Eden, Cain and Abel, the same
thing. Started from there, just keeps coming on down. And look at the church,
Jesus the Pastor, Judas the treasurer, brothers, out of the same tribe, so
forth, right in the same group, same
church. One the Pastor, and the other one the treasurer. One a devil and
one God. That's the way it goes. Jesus said, "In the last days the two spirits would be so close it would deceive the
very elected if it was possible." Amen. If it was possible, but it
isn't. And it... They'll never do it. All right.
So we are looking at TWIN spirits, one which is spiritual and the other
is carnal. Now, the problem is that we are warned in Scriptures that all those
whose names were not written in the lambs book of life before the world was
fashioned will take the mark of the beast. Now, let’s read from the book of
Revelations chapter 13 and verse 8 and 16 so we can see who will have the mark
of the beast.
Revelation
13: 8 And all that dwell upon the
earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the
Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Revelation
13: 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free
and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Now, I want you to notice He said, all, yes ALL people in the world who did
not have representation in Christ before the foundations of the world, will
worship the beast. Notice verse 16 he causes all will receive a mark
in their forehead, and in their hand. Therefore if it is all, then just because
you might be in the Message, does not guarantee that you will not receive the
mark of the beast. So what is the mark of the beast? Let’s see what brother
Branham tells us. He tells us that it is the mark of apostasy.
Mark of the beast 54-0513 P:74 Now,
you see what the mark of the beast is?
It's the mark of apostasy. It's a
person who just thinks that, "Well, I belong to church, and I'm just as
good as the next fellow. Am not I belonging to this church?" And you
realize where your church organization that you're depending on, where it come from?
Do you realize? The Bible said, "He that worships the beast, receives his
mark, or the letter of his name (Now, watch.) in forehead or hand." That's knowledge or deed.
(Now, I want you to
catch what brother Branham says next here). That don't mean you got a big tattoo on your face. It don't
have to be that. It's not talking of the outward. It's talking of spiritual. You watch him and see what he knows about
the Scripture. Listen to him and see where he goes to. "If any man
don't have this doctrine, there's no Light in him," the Bible said. See?
See? Watch where it goes to. Watch what he does. You say, "Well, I belong.
I'm Protestant. Yes, sir. I belong to this certain church. Yes, sir." And
on Sunday you just have about enough respect for it to come in out of the rain.
He goes down, instead of going to prayer
meeting, you'll close up the church and set and watch television. He goes
out here and he drinks and carries on and acts like the rest of the world, yet he belongs to the church. Remember,
that's the mark of sin.
So brother Branham is telling us that the mark of the beast which is the
mark of apostasy is a church spirit. So what is a church spirit? It is a
religious spirit that loves church and loves to attend church but not is not
spirit filled. It worships just like the spirit filled person does. It makes
sacrifice just like the Spirit filled person does. It will even talk the word
non stop if you let it, but it has not the Life of God abiding in their soul.
Jude 1: 10 But
these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know
naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran
greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying
of Core. 12 These are spots in your feasts of
charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees
whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their
own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for
ever.
Listen to what he tells us in his sermon called, Seed not heir with shuck 65-0218 P:42 Notice, see how close it looks. St. Matthew 24:24,
said that the two spirits in the last
days, the church spirit of the church people and the Bride Spirit of
the Bride people, would be so
close together till it would deceive the very elected if it was possible.
That's how close. Look how it's come through the stalk.
Now, that is quite a strong statement, but it is very understandable,
that the way the two spirits could be so close is because they are in the same
church, same movement, same message. One receives the Spirit of Christ through
the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the other receives the mark of the beast
which is nothing but a church spirit, which is a religious spirit. So they can
quote the prophet, and use the same terminology that the elect will use, but
they have not a revelation of the Word.
Christ is the mystery 63-0728 P:124 The
new birth is Christ, is a revelation. God has revealed to you this great
mystery, and that's the new birth. Now, what are you going to do when you get
all that group together, where the revelation is perfectly in harmony, and God expressing it through His Word by the
same actions, the same things that He did, making the Word manifest? Oh, if
the Church only knew its position. It will one day. Then, the rapture will go
when it knows what it is. Now, notice. You say, "Brother Branham, but
that--that ain't..." Oh, yes, it is, too. It is the Truth.
Queen of
Christ
is the mystery 63-0728 P:120 Look,
Christ in you makes Him the center of
Life of the revelation. See? Christ's
Life in you makes Him the center of the revelation. Christ in the Bible, makes the Bible a complete revelation of Christ.
Christ in you makes you the
complete revelation of the whole thing. See, what God's trying to do? What
is the new birth then? You say, "Well, Brother Branham, what is the new
birth?" It is the revelation of
Jesus Christ personally to you. Amen. See? Not you joined a church, you shook a hand; you done
something different; you said a creed; you promised to live by a code of rules;
but Christ, the Bible... He is the Word
that was revealed to you. And no matter what anybody says, what takes
place, it's Christ. Pastor, priest, whatever it might be... It's Christ in you. That is the revelation
that the Church was built upon.
God of
this evil age 65-0801M P:31 The two spirits, one of them God's Holy
Spirit, the other one the devil's spirit working in deception.
The people of the earth are now making their choice. The Holy Spirit is here calling
out a Bride for Christ. He's doing it by vindicating His Word of promise to Her
for this age, showing that It is Christ.
If the finger's supposed to move in this age, the finger will move. If the
foot's supposed to move in this age, the foot will move. If the eye is to see
in this age, the eye will see. See? The Spirit of God, as It's growed into the
full statue of God is... The age that we're now living in, the Holy Spirit is here vindicating the Message of the hour. And the Holy Spirit is doing this, so that
the people that believe God will be called out of this chaos. The devil's unholy spirit is here calling
his church by the error, as usual, by perversion of the Word of God like he did
at the beginning. See it coming right back to that seed time again? From
We would
see Jesus 61-0409 P:40 So
don't place sin on smoking, drinking, gambling; that's not sin; that's the
attributes of unbelief. Sin is unbelief. You might never touched a cigarette,
drank, or never done anything evil in your life; if you disbelieve God's Word,
you're still a sinner. Sin is unbelief. There's
only two spirits; one believes and the other does not believe.
Ten virgins 60-1211M P:113 All
right, now, during this church age... Oh, here's something so beautiful. I like
this so well. During these church ages, there
is two spirits working almost alike right down through here: one is the
denomination; the other one is the Holy Ghost. And Jesus said they were so
close that they would deceive the very elected if it was possible. These two spirits are marking their people
for future judgment. Satan promised that he would have more than Christ,
and he has. Now, watch this real, real close now as we get to this: more than
it would be, marking the people.
Hear recognize act on word 60-0221 P:47 Now,
about two thousand years ago, it came to a head, and it headed up in two men:
one of them, Jesus Christ; the other, Judas Iscariot. Now, Jesus associated the
coming, of His second coming, that these two spirits would be a lot different
than what they was back there. Now, here's where I want you to put on your
glory garments. These two spirits are
going to be different. Because Satan come and lived in a man that was a church
member, Judas Iscariot, lived in the carnal church, and was a friend to the
church all the time. But he come in and deceived, or thought he was
deceiving, his brother. He come in and
pertained to be one of them, tasted the good things of God, moved right along
in the Spirit, seeming to be, went out and preached the Gospel, and cast out
devils. But down in him, all the time he was Judas to begin with. The Bible
said, "He was born the son of perdition."
I will restore 54-0620A P:22 Now,
watch these two spirits on these boys spring up here in Genesis, and watch it
end off in Revelations. And let's bring it through the Bible a few minutes on
these two vines. I'll take Cain to my left side, Abel to my right side. Now,
and now, both of those boys was
religious. Both of them were worshipers of God. Now, remember, Cain built an
altar to the Lord. In other words, he had a church. And if a church membership
is all God requires, Cain was just as good a man as Abel was, and as just as
Abel was, if God only requires a man to go to church. Cain went to church. Well, you say, "Wait a minute
now." All right. Cain was also a
worshiper of God. Do you realize that you could belong to church and worship God and still not be a
Christian? Cain in the beginning... Now, don't fall out with me. Just
set still a minute; let's look at it through the Scripture. See?
Father
the hour has come 56-1002A P:57 The
time has come where there's a falling away. The Bible said, "Except
there come a falling away, the man of sin won't reveal Himself."
The Pentecostal church is living in the final of all times. The time has come. The
time has come for the signs to follow the believers. We're at the end time. We're in the latter rain. We're at the
time when men will be heady,
high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, trucebreakers, false
accusers, incontinent, and despisers of those that are good. Heady, high-minded...
The time has come when they're teaching
doctrines of devils, perverting the Bible's teaching into theories and
theologies to draw groups of people away after them.
Father
the hour has come 56-1002A P:10 And
we get our chartered set right towards Calvary, and no matter which way the
wind's blowing, we're still looking to Calvary, whether it's opposite, or
whether whatever it is, we still are set towards Calvary. That's the true
believer. And then we're not tossed about by every wind of doctrines, and this
comes in, and that comes in, and this takes place; we just got that one pilot
course that's right to
God of
this evil age 65-0801M P:88 As
She is part of the Groom, true to Him in every point, waiting the Wedding,
uniting, not at the ecumenical council, but in the sky, the wedding supper. She
has been given (This is for our own church.) the... She has been given and
revealed to Her the Seven Sealed mysteries of the Bible. She--she sees the
folly of the deceiver, so very close to the Truth that almost deceive the
Elected; She sees it. She... See the two opposing spirits at work in this evil
age? Can you see it? Each very religious,
Cain and Abel, spirits again coming to their heads, still same as they started:
one worshipping by beauty, and by knowledge, and by education, and by science,
and by ethics; and the other one by faith of the revelation of the Word of God.
Both of them is standing right in this
building this morning. That's right.

What
shall I do with Jesus 63-1124M P:97 God's
Body united as His Bride, being One. Him and Christ together, as the Spirit
working in the flesh of the church like It worked in the flesh of Jesus Christ,
'cause It's part of His Body, not twain, but One. They are One. A husband and
wife's no longer two, but one. And Christ and His Body is One. And the same Spirit was in Christ is in His
Bride, in His Body, that unites them together with all the Word. And God
living in there Himself manifested.
How can
I overcome 63-0825M P:28 But
now, the enemy has come in, in the name of the church; and it's so deceiving.
This is a great age of deception when... Christ
said so, the two spirits would be so close in the last days till it would
deceive the very elected if it was possible. See, see? See? And remember,
Christ spoke of a elected people for the last day. See? It would deceive the
very elected if it were possible, so close.
Ensign
an 62-0119 P:35 And
if you'll notice, sometimes those spirits that get onto man... And it's a day
coming, and is at hand now, where the Christian church, the church of the Lord
Jesus Christ ought to be so spiritual, because that Jesus said that the two spirits would be so close till it
would deceive the very elected if it was possible. The enemy is so cunning.
We would
see Jesus 61-0409 P:40 There's only two spirits; one believes and
the other does not believe.
