The Doctrine of Christ no 11
“Doctrine, why it’s so
important”
Brian Kocourek, Pastor
August 28th, 2011
This
morning we are going to look at what exactly is Doctrine and why it is so
important to us. For our text we will read from the book of Malachi the fourth
chapter.
Malachi 4:4 Remember
ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all
Now,
we that have looked for this to happen have seen it fulfilled in William
Branham . And what we see here is that the Spirit of Elijah was to come in this
age in a man who would turn the hearts of the children to the faith of the
Apostolic Fathers. That means we are to be returned to the Apostolic doctrine.
Brother Branham said in his sermon, Sir we
would see Jesus 63-1112 P:98 The Word and Christ is the
same. Then if the Word promises (the Word) that this is to happen in the last
days, the Spirit of Elijah is even to
return in the last day (That's right.) upon the peoples, and He's to turn the hearts of the children
back to the fathers, the doctrine, the principles of the Bible. They've
got away in denomination, organization. And the great power of God is to come
upon the people, with a master of peace that'll send their hearts back to remembering
that He still remains God, that He is God.
And again in his sermon, Souls in prison now
63-1110M P:102 Notice, the Holy Spirit promised that. It's
a-fitting to the time that we're living in. There must be someone rise up.
That's got to come, for it's THUS SAITH THE LORD: Malachi the 4th chapter. That's
exactly what He said would be the sign just before the coming of the great and
terrible day of the Lord, "I'll send you Elijah."
And what will he do? Turn the hearts of
the children back to the doctrine of the fathers, back to the Bible out of
these denominational difference, and come back to the Bible, back to God, is
what He would do.
Brother
Branham said Christ is the Doctrine. And he also said, any church without
doctrine is not a church at all. So a church must have doctrine and that is
what these men have turned away from.
And the reason why God
promised this in his Word is because the people had gotten away from the
Apostles doctrine. From brother Branham’s sermon called, Why? 63-0626 P:54 he said, “I said, "We
are born from above, heavenly, where purity, and holiness, and righteousness,
and honesty." Yes. I said, "Therefore, those who profess that, look
not upon the things of the world. But we plainly say by our lives and the way we live, that we have a God, we have a
Kingdom, we have a place that we're going. And this is not our home."
Amen. My, I like that. I begin to feel pretty religious right now. Yes, sir. I
believe in this old-time Holy Ghost salvation. Oh, brother, sister, it does something
to you. The same God, lived one time, still lives today. His same, His same doctrine of holiness just
lives tonight the same as it ever lived, just the same thing. Yes, sir. Notice, the people has got away from the doctrine
of it, that's all. Yes. Now, yes, sir.
Way of a
true prophet 62-0513M P:128 See, they're off of the Foundation which
Paul said that the Bible... The Bible
speaks that the
You see, the Doctrine of Christ is the Apostles doctrine, and it is the
foundation on which we are to build. The Apostle Paul said that no other
foundation can we build than on Jesus Christ, but they have gotten away from
that foundation, and the church no longer focuses on Christ but on friendships,
and social gatherings, and fellowship and moral living, and they have forgotten
that that no man can come to God except through the Doctrine of Jesus Christ.
Therefore in the Fifth seal the 63-0322 P:40 Brother
Branham said, “the
Bible says that the foundation of God is built upon the doctrine of the
apostles”.
And in speaking of
And again in God in simplicity 63-0317M P:35 We are the continuation of the doctrine of
the apostles. We are the continuation of the baptism of
the Holy Ghost and all the things that the early church stood for…
Way of a
true prophet 62-0513M P:65 Upon this Foundation alone God builds His
church: upon the doctrine of the
apostles.
In his sermon, Restoration of bride tree
62-0422 P:175 brother Branham tells us that the caterpillar and
locust ate the doctrine away from the church until there was no life left in
the church.
And in paragraph P:143 Restoration of bride
tree 62-0422 This
is the apostolic Doctrine; this is the Bible; this is the Holy Spirit. Every
word in It's true. You just believe and accept It, and don't take down on It,
and watch every promise be fulfilled. The manifestation of God's present right
now. If He isn't just as much God now as He was with the children of
And then he said in the same sermon, P:138
Restoration of bride tree 62-0422 God give those apostles to set the church
in order; and It's built upon the doctrine of the apostles, not upon Saint
Boniface or some saint... It's contrary to the Word.
And the same thing with
this Message, it is not supposed to be built upon a man, it is not supposed to
be built on the personality of “William Branham”, it is supposed to be built upon
the doctrine of Christ, the same doctrine the Apostles taught was to be taught
by the Prophet of Malachi 4 with the Spirit of Elijah upon him to return the
children to the faith, the doctrine of the fathers.
When the voice spoke
out it did not say “as John the Baptist foreran my first coming so shall you
forerun my second coming”. It said “so shall your Message forerun my second coming.”
Your
Message as in Doctrine. But they don’t want the
doctrine and yet the Doctrine is the Life. Jesus said, “My Words are spirit and they are life”.
But they would rather have social programs and
good-time rock and roll music and “focus on the family” and all those
psychological and social programs which have nothing to do with the “doctrine
of Christ”, and they have nothing to do with God. The Muslems make
their children behave better morally than these so-called Christians do today. Instead
of focusing on “Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, today and forever”. They want to focus on
the family or focus on the church, and what good is it doing them?
The Muslem has less
tolerance for sinful behavior and a rebellious heart than the so-called Christian
church has today. So don’t tell me morals is what the church should be teaching.
Morals might help you to get along with your neighbor but morals will never get
you to heaven. There is only sacrifice acceptable
to God and that is the blood of His Son.
But the falling away from teaching the Doctrine of Christ is what has destroyed
Christianity today.
From his sermon, Restoration of bride tree
62-0422 P:122 brother Branham said, “Now, this little fellow
started to destroying: destroying what? The cankerworm got into the bark. Watch
what it did; it begin to destroy the bark. What did it do? It made a natural church for a spiritual church. Yes, sir. It took away the true and give it a false.
Now, remember, the leaf, the fruit, the palmerworm eat. The leaf, the locust
eat. Now, the bark, the covering, the religion, the doctrine, the doctrine, the cankerworm got.
And
that is because they left their first love. The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 4: 1 -4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the
Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at
his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach
the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with
all longsuffering and
doctrine. 3 For the time
will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own
lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching
ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be
turned unto fables.
The
Apostle Paul said the time will come when they will no longer endure the
doctrine, so then what do they do instead? They turn to organization, programs,
music.
Now,
this brings us to point number I ) So then what
is Doctrine? Well, Jesus said if a man shall know Him he will know the
doctrine, whether it comes from God or man. The doctrine is to know Christ, He
is the doctrine. That’s why it’s called the doctrine of Christ.
John 7: 14 - 18 Now about the midst
of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. 15 And the Jews
marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? 16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that
sent me. 17 If any man will
do his will, he shall know of the
doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that
seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in
him.
Now
look what he said here. If any man will do God’s Will he will know the
doctrine. And the Apostle Paul taught us that the Doctrine is instruction and
teaching.
2 Timothy 3: 16 All
scripture is given by inspiration of God, (That means it is God breathed, therefore from the
very mouth of God Himself, and notice what Paul said the Scriptures are for.) and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Titus 2: 1 - 15 But
speak thou the things which become sound
doctrine: 2 That
the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 3 The
aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false
accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their
husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient
to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. 6 Young
men likewise exhort to be sober minded. 7 In all things shewing
thyself a pattern of good works: in
doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned;
that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to
say of you. 9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto
their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; 10 Not
purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of
God our Saviour in all things. 11 For the grace of
God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should
live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking
for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our
Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who
gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto
himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These
things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
And in Deuteronomy 32: 1- 2 We read, Give ear, O ye
heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as
the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the
grass: And why does God
ascribe His doctrine as the Rain? Because the Rain is God’s blessing upon the
earth to bring an increase to the seeds of the earth, so that they can come to
full maturity. And that is what the doctrine is to do. It is to bring the
children of God to full maturity that they might manifest Christ.
Colossians 3:1 If
ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ
sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your
affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your
life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who
is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
That
is the same thing that Jesus prayed for in John 17 that we might be one with
God even as He is one with God, and he said to the Father that I have given
them Thy Glory that they may be one as You and I are one. And we know that
Glory is the Doxa of God, his opinion, his values, and his judgment.
In
the book of Acts we see right after the people received the baptism of the holy
Spirit that they began to assemble together around the doctrine. It was not
persons or personalities that they assembled around, but to hear the doctrine
and discuss the doctrine and in doing so it created an atmosphere and many
miracles took place.
Acts 2: 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine (Notice
the doctrine was 1st. then and so it should be 1st in this hour, for
the Alpha must become Omega.) and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many
wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
So
that brings us to point number II. What does doctrine do for you?
Brother Branham said in His message
"ISRAEL
AND THE CHURCH" Now we have to come to full doctrine.... Then he said, I like good old meetings where the
people are shouting and having a good time and the power of God is moving , but
wait until the showdown comes and you don't know where you are standing.
That is why the doctrine is so important. And from ENTICING SPIRITS he said "We preach doctrine to keep the people lined
up.'
From " 3 KINDS OF BELIEVERS" he said, As
long as Jesus was healing the sick, everything was OK, but when he began to preach his doctrine, well...the doctrine is what separated the chaff from the wheat.
And in his sermon QA Hebrews part 1
COD 57-0925 P:81 William
Branham said, I mean men who have the Scriptures, who knows all the
doctrine and the theologies; they can explain it, boy, just like that, but without spiritual revelation. That's
right. That's the doctrine of Cain. The Bible said, "Woe unto them, 'cause they went the doctrine of Cain, and run
in the errors of Balaam, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah." The same Book, Jude, he said, "They was predestinated to this condemnation." Certainly, they are. See?
So
you see the true Doctrine by revelation , the Doctrine of Christ, the Doctrine
of the Apostles. The same doctrine that is to restore the children to the
Fathers at the end-time, is for our salvation, for our healing, for our
redemption, for our coming into full maturity, that we might become manifested
sons of God manifesting the same God-Life as the eldest son in this vast family
of brethren did.
We
see in 1 Timothy
4: 1 - 6 that the doctrine nourishes
you. Now
the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from
the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking
lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding
to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be
received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused,
if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is
sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 6 If thou
put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister
of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine,
whereunto thou hast attained.
And
we see also in 1 Timothy 4: 13-16 that the Doctrine Saves you. “Till I
come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Neglect
not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying
on of the hands of the presbytery. 15 Meditate upon these things;
give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and
unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save
thyself, and them that hear thee.”
And in Romans 6: 17-18 We see that the doctrine Sets you free But God be thanked,
that ye were the servants of sin, but ye
have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye
became the servants of righteousness.
And
again in 1
Corinthians 14: 6 Paul tells us that doctrine is to profit you Now, brethren, if I
come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall
speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? So revealed
truth, Doctrine is for our profit.
And that brings us to
point number III.
Not just any doctrine will do. It must
be God's own doctrine, His own teaching.
Jesus said in John 6: 44 - 45 No
man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will
raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the
prophets, And they shall be all taught
of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father,
cometh unto me.
2 John 9 – 11 Whosoever transgresseth,(that means whosoever goes beyond the limits and does
not remain in)
and abideth not in the doctrine of
Christ, hath not God.
(So what does that mean? You don’t have God, you don’t have the Holy Ghost. And
notice that word hath was translated from the Greek word echo, so he that does
not remain in the doctrine of Christ does not echo God. Does not say what God
says. And He said let very mans word be a lie and mine be truth. Now, let’s
read on…) He that
abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both
(Now the word both according to the dictionary
means: One and the other; relating to or
being two in conjunction. Not three, two, one is who is Father and one who is
Son) He that
abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both
the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him
not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For
he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Now, those were very strong words by the
Apostle John, but don’t you think for one minute that God didn’t placed those
words on his pen to write them? If those are not the Words of God but only the
words of a man then rip them out of your Bible, because this Bible is the Word
of God to them that will receive it. All others will perish in the lake of fire
because they add to and take away from what God has said in His Word.
Hebrews 13: 1- 9 Let
brotherly love continue. 2 Be not forgetful to
entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves
also in the body. 4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but
whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. 5 Let your conversation be
without covetousness; and be content with such
things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do
unto me. 7 Remember them which have the rule over
you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering
the end of their conversation. 8 Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 9 Be not carried about with divers and
strange doctrines. For it is a good thing
that the heart be established with grace; not
with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
So
get your minds back on the word and not on whether you should eat meat or not
eat meat. Paul said here that those who are occupied with meats and such it is
no profit to them. But what does profit you is the Word of God, the Doctrine of
Christ. That is what your focus should be on night and day.
Now, look, that is what the five fold
ministry is all about. To teach you the doctrine that you might grow up and be
no more children tossed to and fro. Ephesians 4: 14 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets;
and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, (for the maturing of the
saints) for the
work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till
we all come in the unity of the faith,
and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the
stature of the fulness of Christ:
Now, how are you to come into the Unity of The Faith
if you are not taught Thee Faith. So that is the ministry of the five offices
God set in the earth. People think a pastor is a guy who holds the peoples
hands and baby sits them. That’s not a Pastor. That’s a social worker. God did
not call the ministry to be social workers, he called them to preach the
Gospel. Now, notice why the five offices of God are to teach, teach and then
teach the Doctrine?
The next verse tells us why…Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth
be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with
every wind of doctrine, by the
sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby
they lie in wait to deceive; (In other words it is the job of the five fold
to teach you the true Bible doctrine that you will not be tempted to go after
strange non Bible doctrine). 15 But speaking the truth in love,(You
see, speaking the truth in Love, not baby sitting, not sitting in on
committees, not organizing programs, but teaching the Word, the Truth, the
Doctrine, that you.
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up
into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly
joined together and compacted by
that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in
the measure of every part, maketh increase
of the body unto the edifying
of itself in love. 17 This I say therefore, and testify in
the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in
the vanity of their mind, 18 Having
their understanding darkened, they become alienated from the life of God through
the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness
of their heart: (their understanding) 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over
unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If
so be that ye have heard him, and have been
taught by him, as
the truth is in Jesus:
So
you see the whole purpose of a five fold ministry is to teach, teach and teach
again and again and again until you mature in the Word so you can not be
deceived. But the churches have left the Spirit of God from leading them to man
leading them, and where has it gotten them? Just look around you and see the
way people come to church wearing whatever they feel like wearing to church. In
the nominal churches they wear shorts and clothes that a woman should be
ashamed to where in the privacy of their own bedroom. And that is because God
said man’s righteousness is nothing but filthy rags. Unholy, putrid. And there
is coming a day of Judgment right soon so we had better take inventory. As brother Branham preached, “is your life
worthy of the gospel?” Is it?
1 Timothy 1: 1-7 Paul, an apostle of Jesus
Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus
Christ, which is our hope; 2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace,
mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our
Lord. 3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into
Macedonia, that thou mightest charge
some that they teach no other doctrine, 4 Neither
give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions,
rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. 5. the end of the commandment is charity out of a
pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they
say, nor whereof they affirm.
And again he exhorted the church in Romans 16: 17 Now I beseech you,
brethren, mark them which cause
divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. You
see, that is exactly what John said in 2 John 9 and 10. Paul is saying the same
thing here. 8 For they that are
such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words
and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Matthew 16: 6 – 12 6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. 7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. 8 Which when Jesus perceived,
he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? 9 Do ye not yet understand,
neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and
how many baskets ye took up? 10 Neither the seven loaves of the four
thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? 11 How is it that ye do not understand
that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the
leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 12 Then
understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of
the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the
Sadducees. And why is that?
Because a little leaven leavens a whole lump. It is infectious, so keep it away
from the true manna.
And that brings us to
point number IV.
Which is to mark those who are preaching
true doctrine and those who are not.
Martin Luther said in his "BONDAGE OF
THE WILL" Pg. 43 entitled “Erasmus
vs Martin Luther's understanding of free will.”
Erasmus was a humanist and contemporary
of Martin Luther. He was considered the greatest intellect in
On the other
hand, Martin Luther's attitude was very different. To Martin Luther, Christianity was
a matter of doctrine first and foremost, because true religion was first and
foremost a matter of faith (and Brother Branham taught us that
Faith is a revelation); and Faith is correlative to Truth. In other
words, it is dependent on Truth. Faith is trust in God through Jesus Christ as
He stands revealed in the Gospel... Luther's first concern as a theologian and
reformer was with doctrine. He said, "I am not
concerned with the life, but with the
doctrines. And he distinguished himself as different from the other
reformers because they focused only on the evil of the pope's scandalous life
while he focused on the evil of the
popes doctrine. Luther felt Revelation is not a mere hit or miss
rationalization but a definitive knowledge and understanding about the God we
serve.
Look, the apostle Paul taught us that you
know a man by his doctrine. 2 Timothy 3:10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life,
purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,. And brother
Branham in teaching his children to discern right from wrong, would turn on the
radio while they were driving, and tell the children to listen to what was
said, and then in five minutes he would turn off the sermon, and they were to
tell him what denomination they belonged to. That is how you train them up in
the way they shall go, so that when they are grown they will never depart.
Again the Apostle Pal told us in 1 Timothy 5: 17 Let the elders that
rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine.
And in his letter to Titus 1: 6–11 he said, “If any be
blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of
riot or unruly. 7 For a bishop must be blameless, as
the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no
striker, not given to filthy lucre; 8 But a lover of
hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; 9 Holding fast the faithful
word as he hath been taught, that he may
be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. 10 For
there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who
subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's
sake.
The prophet Isaiah warned us in 28: 8–13 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is
no place clean. 9 Whom
shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall
he make to understand the doctrine? them that are
weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. (I don’t
think so for they are yet babies.) 10 For precept must be
upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a
little, and there a little: 11 For with stammering lips
and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12 To
whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet
they would not hear. 13 So
the word of the LORD to them shall become precept upon precept, precept upon
precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and
there a little; do and do, do and do, pure legalism, and in
turning down the revealed word they will go backward,
and be broken, and snared, and taken.
And Jesus himself said warned us in the
Gospel of Matthew
7: 15-28 “Beware of false
prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening
wolves. 16 Ye
shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth
good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A
good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can
a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every
tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore
by their fruits ye shall know them. (And William Branham
vindicated prophet of God taught us the fruit is the teaching of the season, so
they will be known by what they teach. And that is perfectly in line with other
things the Scriptures teach such as, “as a man thinketh in his heart so is he”, And
Jesus said, “out
of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” So a man’s
doctrine will certainly declare who that man is for sure.)
Then Jesus says in Matthew 7:21 “Not
every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of
heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not preached
in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto
them, “I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity”. 24 Therefore
whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto
a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And
the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that
house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And
every one that heareth these sayings of
mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built
his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended,
and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell:
and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to
pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his
doctrine:
And in the book of Luke we see that Jesus
concerned Himself with teaching as we see in

63-1124E P:19 And because
that Jesus had spoke the Words the way He had, it separated His congregation,
but it must be done. He was a great Man as long as He healed the sick, but when it come down to the doctrine and the
prophecy, that's what separated the chaff from the wheat. See? The chaff
only wraps around the wheat; it's not the wheat; it cannot be used. There's
nothing in it, no life in it. It's the husk, and it cannot stay with the wheat.
It won't be heir with the wheat. And so it's Just the grain is what we're
talking about, the heart of the grain of the wheat.
John 6: 63-7:1 63 It
is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (You see, that is what the
Doctrine is, it is Life, it stimulates, it is the stimulation of revelation.) 64 But
there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were
that believed not, and who should betray him. 65 And
he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me,
except it were given unto him of my Father. (Now
I want you to notice the next verse because it is chapter 6 and verse 66 or the
numbers 666. And we know that 666 is the mark of the beast, right? And when did
Cain receive the mark of the beast?, when he went out from the presence of the
Lord. And notice the attributes of those we see in John 6:66). 66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and
walked no more with him.
That’s a-pousia, which means absence.

finding him should kill him.16 And Cain went out

come except there be a falling away
first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. 10-11
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because
they received not the love of the Truth, that they might be saved. And for this
cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie.
That they might be damned who believed not the Truth, but had pleasure in un-rightwise-ness.
1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in
the latter times some shall depart from The
Faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy,; having their
conscience seared with a hot iron;
2 Timothy 4: 3
For the time will come when they will
not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ears
from the Truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

8 If any man teach otherwise and consent no to wholesome words, even
the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and
to the Doctrine which is according to Godliness; He is proud, knowing
nothing, but doting about questions and strife’s of words, whereof cometh envy,
strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds,
and destitute of the Truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But
godliness with contentment is great gain.
