Token no 26

They're all going back to Catholicism

October 11, 2015

Brian Kocourek, pastor

This morning we will pick up at the lst paragraph we read Wednesday night and review first something brother Branham said that we did not get to, and then we will move on into the study a little bit further.

100  Let me tell you today as His Servant, unless the Token is on the door, there is a spiritual death going to strike, and all churches are headed back for the Council of, World Council of Churches. They're all going back to Catholicism, and only those who are genuine, born again, are going to stay out.

Now, remember we pointed this out Wednesday night and I commented on his statement, They're all going back to Catholicism

Now, just so we do not venture without understanding what brother Branham is saying here, we need to define what Catholicism is. Catholicism according to the Websters dictionary tells us the definition of Catholicism is: The faith, system, and practice of the catholic church.

So Let's begin by looking at these three elements of Catholicism.

First of all the Faith of Catholicism.

From a website called Catholicism for dummies, I would like to read what the faith of Catholicism is.

If you want to know the basics of what the Catholic faith is all about, we need not look any further than the Catholic Churches so called "Apostles Creed" that every little child that grows up in that church must learn before he is smacked on the cheek by the Bishop and thus confirmed as a soldier of the cross:)

There are twelve tenets that are made plain in this creed, called the "Apostles Creed". At first reading you probably will not have a problem with most of them if you view each with a biblical understanding. But to be considered Catholic, you must confess these twelve tenets as the Apostles Creed:

Article 1:  "I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.

Ok so far so good.

Article 2: And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.

Ok, here is where they go off. I would not say only son, but only begotten son, or first begotten son. Or uniquely born son. But God has man sons, it's just that only one of them is the first born in a large family of brethren.

Article 3: Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  Ok, now, so far so good, because we can find Scripture for these.

Article 4: He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.

again these are all true, although they give Pontius Pilate credit when it was the Religious Jews who turned him over to Pilate who happened to be the Roman governor.

Article 5: He descended into hell. The third day he arose again from the dead.

well, 1 Peter 3:18-20 tells us jesus descended into hell and preached to the rebellious souls there.

1 Peter 3:18-20 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19  By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20  Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21  The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 22  Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him

Article 6: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.  Ok, we see this also in 1 peter 3.

Article 7: He will come again to judge the living and the dead. This is in 1 Peter 4:5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

Article 8: I believe in the Holy Spirit, Notice there is a profession that the holy Spirit exists but no profession that we must be filled with it. But first you must believe that he is, right?

Now, just like Satan in the garden, His seed are religious and always start out quoting Scripture just like He did to Jesus in the 40 days of testing in the dessert. But the thing to watch is what they do with the Scriptures they quote. So they add or they take away there, and in fact we are warned that this will happen in the Seven Church Age book.

Church Age Book  Chapter 4 - The Smyrnaean Church Age P:140 In every age we have exactly the same pattern. That is why the light comes through some God-given messenger in a certain area, and then from that messenger there spreads the light through the ministry of others who have been faithfully taught. But of course all those who go out don't always learn how necessary it is to speak ONLY what the messenger has spoken.

And this is what we have been fighting for the past 4 years.

Let's continue our reading in the Church Age Book: (Remember, Paul warned the people to say only what he said, I Corinthians 14:37, "If any man think himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD. What? came the Word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?") They add here, or take away there, and soon the message is no longer pure, and the revival dies down. How careful we must be to hear ONE voice, for the Spirit has but one voice which is the voice of God. Paul warned them to say what he said, even as Peter did likewise. He warned them that EVEN HE (PAUL) could not change one word of what he had given by revelation. Oh, how important it is to hear the voice of God by way of His messengers, and then say what has been given them to say to the churches.

Now, he did not tell us how important it is to say what the teachers say. he said what the messenger says. Now, this was written by Br. Vayle at the behest of William Branham, so please do not tell me that your teacher has more authority from God than the messenger God sent. and so we see this same falling away that happened in the Catholic church happening right in this Message.

Now, let's look at the 9th tenet, because so far the Catholic Churches Apostles Creed has given us 8 tenets based on Scripture, but now, they begin to add here and take away there, so let's see how they do it.

Article 8: was, "I believe in the Holy Spirit, and then in the same sentence although we have listed this as Article 9: they say they believe in  "the holy catholic Church, the Communion of Saints," Now that might sound innocuous, or harmless, but let me tell you the communion of the saints they are speaking of is not like you and I who are saints because we are sanctified, and we get together and commune or communicate with each other. But to understand what they mean here is First of all in their church doctrine you are not a saint until you are dead and canonized by the Catholic Church. So you have to watch language because your understanding of a word is not their understanding.

And notice how they insert their belief in "the holy Catholic church" right after saying "I believe in the Holy Spirit", as if it is a natural thing to qualify the authority of the church on the same plain as the Holy Spirit. Now, this is the same spirit that says, "every word brother Branham said is "Thus Saith the Lord" when brother Branham himself never said that, because if he did then He would be making himself the Lord Himself, and that would be antichrist to do that.

But catch the framework of this creed. It builds on Scripture then insert non Scripture. And I believe that is what many are doing right in this message, which tells me they have adapted the Creed of the Catholic church and altered it to fit their own belief system. They have just substituted on pope for another.

Now, I have often said that I would take brother Branham's opinion over my own, but I can not in good conscience say every word that he spoke was "Thus Saith the Lord" unless he told us it was "thus Saith the Lord". And this assumption of infallibility is the same assumption the Catholic Church has made concerning their pope. So you can see that even in this Message people are going back to the catholic Church and don't even know it because they are going to the tenets the Catholic Church was built upon.

But brother Branham told us Questions and answers COD 64-0830M P:51 he's reading a question here.  "Now, "Brother Branham, could Jesus look like you, or you be Jesus, or something like that?" One sense of the word, that's exactly the truth; another sense of the word is an antichrist. That's the difference between right and wrong. To make me the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ, would be an antichrist (See?), for that Person of the Lord Jesus is setting at the right hand of the Majesty on high, and will come again in great power and glory. But for His Life that was in Him being upon me, and upon you who have Him, it's exactly the truth; and you become Christ. You remember my message on Messiahettes? See? You are... The word "Messiah" means an--"the anointed One." Now, you are, if you have the Holy Spirit, you become the anointed one. See? Then there's all kinds of anointed ones.

Five identifications 60-0911E P:21 Now, Christ is the Head of this; Christ is the Head of this Messianic Kingdom. And you cannot organize a Kingdom of which Christ is the Head. You cannot denominate a Kingdom which Christ is the Head. Because Christ is King, and you cannot take the intellectuals of a man and make an organization to which Christ will govern. Therefore, any companies, any peoples, any groups of men, that tries to organize the Kingdom of God is going contrary to the King. And if they're going contrary to the King, it would be against the King. So if it's against the King, it would be an antichrist. That's pretty rough. If I had just a little more voice, we'd make that clear. It is a antichrist. And if you'll bear with me a few minutes, I'll prove that. An antichrist spirit tries to take a people and call them from organization to organization, organizing them together, which never was the will of God. People has always fussed at me because I struck so hard at organizations. It isn't the people in there that I'm striking at; it's that dominating spirit that makes the people think that "We are the people."

First seal the 63-0318 P:136 Now, remember, about the time Christ come on the throne, the antichrist come on the throne: Judas. About the time Christ went off the earth, Judas went off the earth. Just about the time the Holy Spirit come back, the antichrist come back. You know, John said over here: "Little children, I would not have you ignorant, you know, about the antichrist, which he's already come and working in the children of disobedience." The antichrist then, there he was, begin to form in there the Nicolaitane spirit to make an organization. No wonder I hated that thing. See, see? There you are. It wasn't me; it was something in here. There's the thing; it's come out. You see it? I was all around the sides of it; I couldn't see it till now; I know it now. There it is, that Nicolaitane spirit God hated, and now that spirit become incarnate, and they crowned it. And here it is right here what the Bible said they'd do with it: perfect. Oh, my.

Now, listen up, because what I am going to say next is very important. This is why I hate that camp mentality. It is an organized mentality. It is Nicolaitan in nature and it's no different than what the Catholic Church did back 2,000 years ago. Men see a man of God who has an anointing upon their ministry, and the first thing they do is to make a camp around that anointed man. And in making that camp the non verbal communication is that you must belong to that camp or you are out. And then they do that they have taken on an anti-Christ spirit right there. when you make Br. Coleman, or Brother Vayle, or Brother Joseph Branham your absolute, and the man you got to hear to make it, right there you have organized around a man, and that is antichrist.

Brother Branham fought that spirit around him, and so did brother Vayle. I don't know about the others, but I hate that thing and hit is as hard as I can whenever I see that spirit lifting up its head in the people.

Jesus Christ the same 55-1113 P:6 And now, I want to make this real clear, so everybody will thoroughly understand, that I believe that Divine healing is nothing that any individual on this earth can do for you. I believe that it's the effects of the atonement of the Blood of Jesus Christ at Calvary. That that's what...I don't believe that any oil out of my hands would heal anybody. I don't believe it has anything to do with it. And I believe if I'd claim so, it would be absolutely antichrist, taking away from Christ. If there's any virtue in that oil from my hands, or anybody else's hands, or from anything else that come from me, it's taking away from Calvary, and it'd be anti, against Christ. And I do not believe that there's any power in man to heal other men. I believe that the only thing that any man can do, rightfully... Now, of course, we have people that believe that such things. But I don't see how you Protestant people could condemn the Catholic on holy water then, if you could go for such as that. But... See? But where there's isms, remember, friends, it's only a sign of a real genuine healings of God. See?

Notice he is saying, So what is the difference whether a Catholic goes for holy water, or you go to a man who has oil in his hands.

Sign of this time 63-1113 P:17 That's where people make mistakes. I find that among the people, that somebody gets all influenced and kind of hepped up a little by the Holy Spirit. Which it's wonderful, stimulated. But there someone will come to you and say, "Does the Lord say so-and-so?" See, you don't have to give them a answer. Don't you say it unless God says it, then you've got "THUS SAITH THE LORD". Then nothing can keep it from happening. It's just got to happen. I take anybody to charge tonight; you never heard the Holy Spirit speak in the meetings, of THUS SAITH THE LORD, but what it happened exactly that way...?... out of the millions of cases. See, It's absolutely has to be right.

He that is in you 63-1110E P:76 I said, "God, I'm not worthy to be Your servant." I said, "I'm sorry; I've made many mistakes. I didn't mean to make mistakes, Lord. You've been so good to me."

Calling Jesus on the scene 63-0804E P:8  If I make mistakes, you pray for me. I'm not infallible. I'm your brother.

Standing in the gap 63-0623M P:97 Now, we know that human beings can make mistakes, but God can make no mistake.

Second seal the 63-0319 P:57 Look what it did the first time it fell. Well, if God acted like that the first time, He's got to act like that the second time. He's got to act like that every time, or He acted wrong the first time. See, we as mortals, we can make mistakes. God can't. God's first decision is perfect. And the way He chose to do things, there can't be no other better way. He can't improve on it, because it's perfect to begin with. If it isn't, then He isn't infinite. And if He's infinite, then He is omniscient. And if He is omniscient, then He's omnipotent. Amen. He's got to be that to be God. See?

Absolute a 63-0304 P:31 When He's called upon a scene to act and the decision that He makes, He has to ever remain with that decision. He cannot change it, because He's infinite. Now, I can change my decision, you can, because we're finite; therefore, we make mistakes. But God cannot change His decision, because He's infinite and His decision is perfect always. He cannot say, "I was wrong here, and I'll change My decision," because that would show God could change, and God cannot change. Neither can His Word change. He's the same always.

And as I see it this is one of the greatest problems we have in this message. People have a strange doctrine that says, God's prophets can't make any mistakes. And some believe that a true Five fold ministry can't make a mistake either, and that leads you to such error that you put great pressure on one another to be so perfect that you lose your humanity.

God's prophet told us in his sermon, Identified Christ of all ages 64-0617 P:67 Now, all I could say, I'm a man; my words can just fail just like any other man, all of us. I've proved to you tonight that every prophet, everything else, they made their mistakes. But God makes no mistakes. His Word is the Truth.

Guide a 62-1014E P:65 That was God's policy. That's the way it was laid down. That's His program; He can't change from it, because He's infinite. Amen. He can't change from it; He's God. I can change; I'm a man. You can change; you're a man or woman. But God cannot change. I'm finite; I can make mistakes and say things wrong; all of us can. But God can't and be God. His first decision is perfect. The way God acts on the scene, that's the way He's got to act every time. If He's called on the scene to save a sinner, He saves him on the basis of one thing. The next time a sinner comes, He's got to act the same way, or He acted wrong when He acted the first time. Amen. I love Him.

Jesus Christ the same 62-0718 P:24 Now, I don't believe that the Bible said those things, and made those promises without being able to fulfill it. Don't you believe that? Abraham, whose seed we are... If we be in Christ, we're Abraham's seed. And Abraham was fully persuaded (Romans 4) that He was able to--to keep, or to perform, that which He had promised to do. And if God makes a promise and doesn't stand behind it, then He's not God. And if He makes a promise, He's able to stand behind it or He'd never make the promise. Now, I'm finite, and He's infinite. So He cannot make a mistake. I can. You can. Our brethren can. We can all make mistakes. We're finite. Today, if I don't know more than I did last year, I'm not progressing any. But God cannot progress, because He's perfect to begin with. And every decision is perfect.

It wasn't so from the beginning 62-0630B P:72 Forgive our many weaknesses, Lord. We don't intend to do anything wrong, Lord, but through flesh we do make mistakes daily. So in order to stay alive in Christ, we have to die to our own thoughts. So keep us dead to ourselves and alive in Him. Let our bodies be so, and our soul so submissive to Him that people will see the reflection of Christ as we go, or come, or whatever we do. Bless us together, Father.

Spoken word original seed 62-0318E P:195 And remember, Christian friends, I'm a man; I can make mistakes, but God, being God, cannot make a mistake. All the Words that's been written must be fulfilled; Jesus said so. So we've got things here in the Scripture that must be fulfilled, and that is one of the things, this boycott to come. But before this boycott can come of the marking of the beast, there has to be a Seed sowed for God to take a church out of it. You understand now? A Seed has to be sowed. A denominational seed and there to make a form or an image to the beast, the church of Rome... And there has to be a true Bride.

Questions and answers COD 61-1015M P:121 Now, we are all going to make mistakes. Just remember. And when you're looking at one another, don't look at the other person's mistake. See, don't do that, because, remember, you make mistakes too. But look to Christ Who is guiding this person. And if they need some help, then you pray for them. That's the way we get along (See?), pray. And remember, when you are praying for somebody else in that kind of a fix, God will honor and heal you when you're praying for somebody else. That's right. That's what Christianity is based upon, to help one another, do for one another, be kind to one another, understanding to one another. Now, if you see your neighbor's mistake, you see where they've went wrong, don't go wrong with them, but just pray for them. Just keep praying, and God will understand that. He'll make everything right.

God hasn't commissioned any of us to straighten out everyone else. I think when you hear someone gossip about another you should say, "isn't it wonderful that God only made a handful of us so perfect that we can see everyone else's mistakes?  I wish the rest of the world could be like us."

sounds like that man that beet his chest and said

Identified Christ of all ages 64-0617 P:67

Now, just one moment for the prayer line. We've got exactly fifteen minutes to get out on time. Now, all I could say, I'm a man; my words can just fail just like any other man, all of us. I've proved to you tonight that every prophet, everything else, they made their mistakes. But God makes no mistakes. His Word is the Truth. How many believes that He is the Word? God bless you. That's where my faith is built, on nothing less than Jesus' Blood, and right... Jesus is the Word.

Identified Christ of all ages 64-0617 P:27 Watch Joseph, just portrayed the life of Christ almost perfect, but he made a mistake to show that it wasn't Him. Man make mistakes. See, he told Pharaoh; he said... He told his father, which was a prophet, Jacob, he said, "You tell Pharaoh that we are herdsmen, because a shepherd is an abomination to an Egyptian." But the father, the Spirit wouldn't let him do it; he said, "Your servants, the shepherds..." So you see Joseph there making a mistake. David, the great man, made a mistake, a man after God's Own heart, yet took Bathsheba, thinking he could hide that from the very God that he had served all of his life, but God exposed him by Nathan the prophet. See?

Look at Saul, the poor guy, everyone wants to speak evil against the poor man, and by disobedience he had become the enemy of God yet the prophet Samuel told him,, "this day you shall be with me in paradise."

Jesus Christ the same 61-0118 P:41 Remember, when you read the Word of God, as we Protestants believe it to be the infallible Word of God... Then when God is ever called on the scene to act and has to make a decision, the way God acts on that case He has to act on every case thereafter the same. Because... I could make a decision today and it could be right; tomorrow I might make the same decision and it would be wrong, because it was wrong at the first place, maybe. But when God ever makes a decision, it's perfect. 'Cause we are finite, we make mistakes. God's infallible, and infinite, and cannot make a mistake. Therefore, what God said is perfectly right. And if He was ever called on the scene to save a sinner, the attitude He took towards that sinner, He will have to take the same attitude towards every penitent sinner from thereafter. If He was called on the scene to heal a sick person, the attitude He took towards that sick person, every sick person comes to Him He must act the same way, or He did wrong when He acted the first time. There's God. Is that right? So what Jesus was yesterday, He has to be the same today, or He was wrong yesterday. His Messiahic sign that He showed to the people then, if that was wrong, then He'd have to say the same thing today. And if it isn't... It has to be right, because He was God. And now... If He was right then and that was a sign, it's the same sign today, and will be forever.

It is I 60-1124 P:13 "His signs and wonders has astonished us. And we know by His action, and what He says, because it comes to pass what He says. He's not a man that just talks about something; He's a Man that produces what He talks about." How glad we are today, that He still does what He talks about in His Word. I've held the Koran in one hand and the Bible in the other one before thousands times thousands of Mohammedans, and say, "They both can't be right, because they're contrary one to the other. And let the One that will speak, and perform, and do what He said He would do, let that be the One that's God, let the One that keeps His Word... For if He ever was God, He's still God. He cannot change, because He's immortal. And He's infinite, omniscient, omnipresent, and He cannot change. He's the infallible God, and just as much tonight as He was then, and always will be the same. He can never change from what He is, 'cause He's perfect; therefore, you can rest assure that when He says anything in His Word, lay you life that that's truth. Because if God is ever called on the scene to make a decision, His decision is perfect. He can never go back in another age, and say, "I was mistaken." Because we can do that, because we are finite, and we make mistakes, but He's infinite, and cannot make a mistake. So therefore, if God was called on the scene for a man that was lost in the garden of Eden, He made a preparation for that man to be saved, and saved him. And on that same basis, that same preparation, in the shed blood of an innocent victim, God will save every sinner that comes to Him. If a man come to Him sick and wanted healing, he was past the aid of doctors and so forth, and God called on the scene, and He healed that man on the basis of his faith in Him, when the next man's called, God will act the same way. If He didn't, then He acted wrong when He acted the first time. See? So He cannot be a Healer once, and not a Healer again. He cannot be a God of miracles one day, and not a God of miracles in the next day. For the Bible said, "He's the same yesterday, today, and forever." He's still God. And if you'll take the right mental attitude towards any promise... When you read it in the Bible, it's the truth, no matter how many tries to put it on another age, it's in the past, or a age that's in the future. He never did declare He was the "I was," He's the I AM, always.

As I was with Moses 60-0911M P:14 One time it was said that the Ballard and Ballard Flour Company hired a man, and he was going to sign his name, and the man had no eraser on the end of his pencil. And Mr. Ballard said to him, said, "Why haven't you got an eraser?"He said, "I don't make mistakes."He said, "Then I can't use you. Because if you don't make mistakes, you won't do nothing." That's true. God don't hold you responsible for your mistakes. He holds you responsible for your will, willful sin. "He that sins willfully, after he has received the knowledge of the truth..." But a man that's going to do something is going to blunder; he's going to fall. He's going to make mistakes. But if he's really Divinely called, and God in his heart, he'll rise again.

El Shaddai 59-0416 P:36 When God makes a promise, God is duty bound to keep that promise. He can't alter it. He can't change it. We--we're finite. We can say, "Well, I'll be there." We should say, "If the Lord is willing." But see, we're finite. We can say things and make mistakes. But He's infinite, and He cannot make a mistake.

Hebrews Chapter 6 and 7 57-0915M P:49 You'll make mistakes; you'll fall; you'll willfully do wrong. You'll go out sometime and do things; that don't mean that you're lost; that means that you're going to get correction. My little boy, lots of times... My children will do things, your does too, that they know that's against your rules. And they know what to expect when they do it: they're going to get a whipping for it, sometimes a good one. But it's still your child, certainly. It's impossible for that man to ever be gone again, that's once been born of Eternal Life. God's not a Indian giver. "He that heareth My Words, and believeth on Him that sent Me, has Everlasting Life and shall never come to the judgment, but's passed from death unto Life. And I'll raise him up at the last days." That's God's promise.

Faith once delivered to the saints 57-0610 P:2 I have his book at home, "When I Come Back," I believe the name of it is. "How I Come Back?" How in the basement here, he seen the picture of his mother laying down there when he just about lost this tabernacle and how the courage raised in him to come back. I got lots of respects for a man, when he does make a mistake, he's got courage enough to rise and try again. We're all going to make mistakes. The best makes mistakes. But a soldier is not one who will lay down when he's knocked down but will raise up again. We used to sing a little song, "Let Me Rise And Try Again." And I like that. For I have made many mistakes in my life, as we all have. But I've always been thankful to God for grace to let me rise and try again. I believe the song is entitled, "Forgive Me, Lord, And Try Me One More Time." I think that's it. I'll be Yours, if You'll be mine. If I fall or if I sin, let me rise and try again. Take me back and try me one more time. That's...?... I love that.

Lamb's book of life 56-0603 P:45 Now, I know some of them says it's this or that, or the other, but when... No matter. The Bible said, "Let every man's word be a lie, and Mine be true." Some says keeping days is the mark, and some says doing this is a mark, and some says being witness of this is a mark. But the Bible said, "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed until the day of your redemption." How long? Until the day of your redemption. How can it be done? Could God make a mistake. Could He give a man the Holy Ghost, and Him be an infinite knows from the beginning to the end, would give a man the Holy Ghost and promise him Eternal Life, and then turn around and take it away from him? That would make Him finite like me and you, subject to mistakes. But thanks be to God, our heavenly Father makes no mistakes. Certainly, He can't make a mistake. From the beginning He was infinite, and He will be at the end. He can't make mistakes. He's perfect.

Lamb's book of life 56-0603 P:42 It can be impersonated; it can be pretended. People can act like they're so-and-so, and they can be swayed with every little thing. But a man that's ever born of the Spirit of God, his course is set towards the North Star. Hallelujah. And all hell will never shake him. That's right. I don't say he won't make mistakes; I won't say he won't slip and fall. That's right. But as soon as he can get his feet again, he's eyes is set on the Star yonder, and he moves on. Sure. Elected.

Word become flesh India trip 54-1003M P:68 I see things, even in visions and things the Lord has showed me, and turned right back around and do vice versa. You imagine? And God showing me... I had it in Lisbon. I said, "Lord, just take Your hand off of me; I'm not even worthy to be Your servant." To see something He told me, and I had forgot all about it, and went right up. It happened. I thought, "Oh, my. There, why didn't I remember that." See? Here I had it wrote down in my pocket here on a piece of paper, and walked right in and done something vice versa. See? There it shows how much of a... how much, how good I am (You see?), not... Oh, the worst of all of them, would be me. For after God telling you to do something, and you turn right around and do something vice versa, that's terrible. See? So, you see?, no matter who the man is, he's nothing but a human being to me. He's going to make mistakes. So let's just suffer with one another, and do the best we can. That's the only thing we can. All right.

Resurrection of Jairus daughter 54-0302 P:6 And what I read here is His Word. It will never change; It'll never pass away. It's eternally right. Mine may fail, 'cause I'm just a man, speak like any other man, make mistakes and everything. But when He speaks, mark His Words; it's the truth. See? And this is His Word. Primarily this is the Foundation. And every church, every born-again person is built upon this Foundation, Jesus Christ, the Chief Cornerstone. And He's the Gate, the Door of entrance to all eternal blessings. He is the Gate, the Door to the sheepfold. And this Bible is His Word. And if a man, woman, or whoever, speaks anything to be truth that's contrary to the contents of this Bible, it's wrong. That's right. It's absolutely wrong. But if the man speaks, and it's backed up by this Bible, then it's truth. Every word of it's true.

Israel at the red sea 1 53-0326 P:24 Now, there's many that pretend to be in there. There's many that's warring themselves, and trying to live right, and trying to press in; I don't know about that. But if they are in there, it's just as easy to live a Christian life as it is to live any life, 'cause you're in Christ, and nothing else but just so full of the Holy Spirit leads you, and guides you and directs you. And, why, sure you'll make mistakes and fall, but you can't stay down, because no more than you could make a stalk of corn a sycamore tree... You can't do it. Jesus said, "By their fruits you shall know them." You have Everlasting Life.

Deity of Jesus Christ the 49-1225 P:53 Now, friends, I know this to be the truth. I know people don't realize who you are? Every person in here can live above sin, can live without sin, live in God; you'll make mistakes, but the Blood of Christ will forgive you. "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." Is that right? That same power of Christ that was hung on Calvary's cross, the same God that raised Him up on the day of the resurrection, is in you now, you that's got the Holy Ghost.

Article 10: the forgiveness of sins, Now, again Jesus did give the church the power to remit sin. Sure we believe in the forgiveness of sin, but that is for God alone, but he has given u power to remit sin, and to remit sin, or unbelief means you have power to give them life, God life so that they will no longer live in sin and unbelief.

Brother Branham said in his sermon, That day on Calvary 60-0925 P:56 What is Eternal Life? The Life that He lived, the Life that was in Him: impart that to others. Can a man do that? A Son of God can. Jesus said, "Whosoever sins you remit to them they are remitted. Whosoever sins you retain, to them they are retained." Now, here's where the Catholic church and many of the others made their big mistake. They go out and say, "I forgive your sins." That wasn't it. How did they get sins forgiven in the Bible? Peter answered that question on the day of Pentecost. They said, "What can we do to be saved? How can we get this that you all got?" He laid down the prescription. He told them what to do. He said, "Repent, every one of you towards God, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ." What for? "The remission of your sins." There's the greater works.

Now, let's just stop here for a minute because brother Branham is giving us the key here to a life without sin. Jesus never said whose sins you forgive they are forgive. He said whose sins you remit they are remitted. There is a difference between remit and forgive.

The word "remit" means: to lay aside or desist. To cancel out, or refrain from doing, to give relief from. to restore or consign to a former status or condition and thus to release from the guilt or penalty of sin or unbelief.

Now contrast that to the word "forgive" and what it means. to stop feeling anger toward someone who has done something wrong : to stop blaming someone.

Notice the difference between the two words. to Borrow a common phrase from brother Branham, but they are two different words and they mean two different things altogether.

To "Forgive" means you come to the place where you are willing to forgive, or not be angry with someone who does things to you even though they keep on doing them. Notice "forgiveness" has nothing to do with the person who is doing the wrong. It doesn't change their nature, it only changes your response to the way you view that person.

In other words, as brother Vayle used to say, "dog bite me once shame on dog, but dog bite me twice shame on me". In other words, I can forgive you but that's not going to change you. It only changes my response to what you do. I just learn to accept that you are what you are and no one can change you unless you want to be changed. So you will continue doing what you do best until you have died and God comes into live your life and changes you. forgiveness is kind of a fatalistic approach, whereas remittance is giving them God-Life, something that can take sin out of their life once and for all.

To "remit" your sin (unbelief) is to do something to you that changes you forever, and changes the way you live your life. To "remit" your sin is to do away with you sin or unbelief altogether. And just saying it doesn't make it happen.

Just because you say something doesn't make it so. Something has to happen to change your life that you don't want to sin any more. That's the real meaning of the remitting of sin. You don't do it anymore because you can't do it anymore. There's another life living in you and you can't sin.

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

The sin question has been canceled out in you. And the word "Remit" means: To cancel out. To lay aside altogether, to desist. And you cannot do that until you are dead and your life is hid together with Christ in God.

John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost":23 Whose so ever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Now, the Greek word for "Remit" that Jesus used was "apheimi", which is made up of two Greek Words, The first "apo", used as a prefix which denotes separation, and it means: to depart and it also means  cessation. Which means to "stop altogether". And add to that the main word "heimi" which means: to go, or to send away.

So when Jesus breathed on them and imparted the Holy Ghost to them, he told them that with receiving the Holy Ghost you now have power to give the same to others, and in doing so it will cause sin (unbelief) to depart from them.

John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost": 23 Whose so ever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

The 11 tenet of the Catholic Faith is: the resurrection of the body,  and we all believe this because there is much Scripture concerning this.

And finally the 12th Article of faith, or Catholic tenet is: And in life everlasting.

So you see that most of what they profess in what they call the Apostles Creed is correct, but they have added and made the church the instrument of the Holy Spirit, which the True Church is, but in organizing it and elevating the church, or a man, whether it be Priest Bishop or Pope, they have become anti Christ. And in closing we will red the rest of paragraph 100 where brother Branham says, ...

"Remember, not you Pentecostal denominations, 'cause they're already in it. Shows they are dead. They are perished. They sacrificed; they went back; they put Him outside the door. But He's looking for the Token. Because the only thing they relied upon was speaking in tongues. Don't you rely upon no speaking in tongues, no nothing else, but let the Token itself be there, the Person of Jesus Christ, His Own Life in you. Circumcised--not just this, that, but circumcise your whole being, till you and Christ are One. Christ is in you, and His Life lives out through you.

Let us pray...
