Token no 41
His Word His Life Unveiled
December
9, 2015
Brian Kocourek, Pastor
This evening we will continue with our study of the
Token which brother Branham preached September 1, 1963. We will pick up at
paragraph 152 Like Jacob did. He told his wife and all of them,
said, "Wash your clothes and everything.
Put away them gods." Amen. You know what
Joshua said 'fore crossing over? He said, "Wash
your clothes, come not at your wives, and so forth, and get ready. For within
three days we'll cross Jordan." Amen. He was getting ready. They was applying the token. Amen. That's it. Get ready. Apply it. Believe it. Clean up. Let your
children, let your family, let your loved ones see it in you. That's
right. It'll take effect. Yes, sir. Then apply the Token in prayer with
consideration, with believing. Apply it with such love and so forth, you know it's going to take
place. That's all. Apply it in confidence,
believing it's going to help. When you talk to that child, when you talk to your husband, talk to your
wife, talk to this
loved one,
believe that it's going to help, and stand there and say, "Lord, I've claimed them; they're mine. I'm getting them
for You, Lord."
Tonight I would like to focus our thoughts on ejust one statement
brother Branham makes here, and that is Let your children,
let your family, let your loved ones see it in you.
You know that is a very Biblical, statement he is
making here. In fact the apostle Paul
says so in 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, except Jesus Christ, and him
crucified.
So
Paul wanted for the church to come to the place that they became a living
testimony of the very life of Christ. A written Epistle read and known of all
men.
Notice Paul
says in 2 Corinthians 3:1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or
need we, as some others, epistles of commendation
to you, or letters of commendation from you?
Notice what Paul is driving at here. He
says, the human way, the natural man, he wants letters of commendation, to
prove himself a minister or whatever profession he is in. But Paul says, I do
not have to try and prove anything to anyone because you are my proof. when
people look at you, they see Christ, and that is all the proof I need that my
ministry is directing you not only to Christ, but into Christ.
In fact that is what he says in
Ephesians 4 concerning the ministry of the five fold offices that God has
placed into the church. And if you want to check out a ministry to see whether
it is of God or not, just look for maturity in the people who sit under that
ministry. Because Paul says here, when people see you they see Jesus Christ,
because you are a written epistle known and read of all men.
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
You know what the word epistle means? It
means a written message. Just think the message in written form, just like this
Bible is the Word of God in written form, but this time it is not ink and paper
but the Word of God is written in the flesh of believers.
3 Forasmuch as ye are
manifestly declared to be the
epistle of Christ...
Notice Paul says manifestly declared, or
declared by manifestation. In other words the Word of God reflecting from
vessels who are manifesting the very life of the Word.
John tells us the same thing in 1 John 5:10 He that believeth on
the Son of God echos the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath
made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to
us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that echos
the Son echos life; and he that echos not the Son
of God echos not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe
on the name of the Son of God; that ye
may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of
the Son of God. 14 And this is the confidence (the parrhesia) that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will,
he heareth us: 15 And
if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the
petitions that we desired of him.
Oh my. Don't you want to have such
confidence as that? You can, if you only die out to yourself and only believe.
Now, notice that Paul said, 3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be
the epistle of Christ... Notice, manifestly declared to be
the written Message, not in book form, but in the table of your heart. And then
he says, "ministered
by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
So Paul was dealing with the heart just as the Spirit of Elijah is to do
according to Malachi 4, to change our hearts. and Paul says, He has been given
the ministry to take a-hold of the Spirit of the Living God and use it like a
pen, and inscribe in your hearts the Word of God, that it might become a living
Word known and read in you.
That is why he said in 2 Thessalonians 1:
that there is coming an hour when the Word that he preached would be believed,
and it would bring on the glorification of the elect when that happens.
2 Thessalonians 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his
saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among
you was believed) in that day. 11 Wherefore also we
pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the
name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you,
and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
No, back to 2 Corninthians 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 5 Not
that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is
of God;
Now, why would
he say that? Because Paul is the same Apostle who taught in Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you
both to will and to do of his good pleasure. And Paul also wrote in Philippians 1:6 we read, Being
confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work
in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
6 Who (he's
speaking of the Holy Spirit here) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not
of the letter, but of the spirit:
for the letter killeth, but the spirit
giveth life.
Now, watch Paul
go back to the Alpha of His Omega. He goes back to the first Exodus, which is Moses
time, and he says, And notice what he calls the law... 7 But if the
ministration of death, written and
engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly
behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance;
which glory
was to be done away: 8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
Or more glorious, or Glorious in a
greater measure.
In other words,
Paul is going back to Exodus 34 when Moses comes down with the Law. And
if Moses who came down from having been in the presence of the Lord for 40 days
was glowing from His face from just having been in the presence of the Lord for
40 days, How much more will the glory be when the ministration of the Spirit
comes at the Appearing and Parousia of Christ?
Exodus 34:27 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou
these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. 28 And he was there with the
LORD forty days and forty nights; he
did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. 29 And it came to pass,
when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in
Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked
with him. 30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel
saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. 31 And
Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation
returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. 32 And
afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment
all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai. 33 And
till Moses had done speaking with them, he put
a vail on his face. 34 But
when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he
took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake
unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded. 35 And the children of Israel
saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to
speak with him.
Now, listen to
what Paul is telling us. He says, 7 But if the ministration of death,
written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so
that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 8 How shall not the ministration of the
spirit be rather glorious?
So he is telling
us that if the glory was so great that Moses face what about when the Appearing
takes place, the great Parousia Presence of God. And notice something else
here. He tells us that when Moses came down with the law engraved on stone
tablets, which is nothing compared to the Word of God written in the hearts of
men, and he says, the people feared so to look upon Moses that they had him
place a vail over his face to cover up the residue of the Holy Spirit Shekinah
that glowed from his face, having been so long in the presence of the Lord.
Then Paul says
in reference to this, 9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much
more doth the ministration of righteousness (right-wise-ness) exceed in glory.
In other words,
if Moses could lay in the presence of the Lord for 40 days and nights and His
face glowed so bright when he only brought down on simple stone tablets ten
rules to live by, what can we expect when the Holy Spirit comes down with the
full Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Himself.
10 For even that which was
made glorious (endoxazo, en
means in, and doxa is the values and opinioons
of God, and zo is from Zoe which means life. In that day when the very opinions
and values of God will be lived out in the hearts of the people.) For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory (doxa) that excelleth.
Notice Paul says
there is no comparison of the glory
which appeared on the face of Moses and that which will appear in the hearts of
men. When Moses came down, he brought ten rules to govern the hearts of the
people, but when Christ comes at His Appearing, it shall fill men with the very
Life of God, and thus we will become one with God in the same way Jesus became
one with God Himself.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much
more that which remaineth is glorious.
So Paul is
definitely looking for a time to come when the glory, the doxa
of God, His opinions, his values, and His judgments will become so engrained in
the hearts of the people that they will literally be a written Message manifestly
declaring God-Life.
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, (such earnest
expectation) we
use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as
Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly
look to the end of that which is abolished: 14 But
their minds were blinded: for until this day
remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old
testament; which veil
is done away in Christ. 15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.
Now, Paul is
speaking of a great tragedy here, because the Vail he says blinds them to the
scriptures, but when Christ came the veil in the temple was torn in two showing
what was behind the veil all these years had suddenly come into full view.
Mark
15:38 33 And
when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the
ninth hour. 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried
with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?
which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? 35 And some of them that stood by, when they
heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.
36 And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone;
let us see whether Elias will come to take him down. 37 And
Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. 38 And
the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw
that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the
Son of God.
Luke
23:45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the
midst.
Matthew
27:51 And, behold, the veil of
the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth
did quake, and the rocks rent;
And s the
rending of the veil when Jesus died, revealed what Life it was that had been
hidden behind the veil in the temple all those years, had now been fully
revealed as it hung there upon that cross.
Notice Paul had
been speaking of the veil which had actually been over the hearts of the people
blinding them, was done away in Christ. And then Paul continues, 16 Nevertheless when it (the heart) shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the
Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all,
with open face (with an unveiled face) beholding as in the looking glass (or the mirror of the Word) of the Word the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image (that we see
in the mirror of God's Word and we will be changed) from glory to glory, (from opinion
to opinion, and from values to values) even as by the Spirit of
the Lord.
Notice Paul is telling us when that day
comes that the veil of traditions and creeds is taken down, the heart will be
exposed to direct Truth, direct doxa, direct opinions
and direct values of God, no curve balls. Se
stand in full view, and when that day comes, we shall be changed from image to
image and from glory to glory, and it will be the Spirit in us working to will
and to do.
Now, that is what brother Branham taught
us in the Unveiling of God that he preached in 1964.
Unveiling of God 64-0614M
P:132 The veil, tradition of unbelievers, taken
away, you see God. When the veil of traditions has been removed, you can see
that God is still God of His Word. He still keeps His Word. He's the--He's
the God, Author of His Word that is hid behind skin veils to others. Yes, that
is right. To those who cannot go behind the veil, He's still behind skin veils.
Mighty God unveiled 64-0629
P:59 When you come out from behind the veil, you'll be in full view of the
people then, that they can see that something has happened to you. The veiled Word to the
unbeliever, but in full view of the believer: Jesus Christ, the same
yesterday, today, and forever.
Let me just read to you from his sermon The Unveiling of God 64-0614M so you
can see how brother Branham ties all of this together. P:121 We in Him... Then
we being in Him, we are still veiled to
the religionists and professors of the world. See, our glory that we have and enjoying, we are still veiled to them
outsiders. They think we're crazy, a nut again. See, see? That's right. But
we who are in here, in Christ, baptized into Him (I Corinthians 12), into Him, we are partakers of this Glory. See? But not on the
outside, you're still looking in, denying it. See? So now we are invited into
Him to be partakers of all that He is. We're invited into
Him, which is hid to unbelievers by the veil of human flesh. See? They know that Glory; they read of
It, It's in the Word here, of the Glory of God and things like that; it's just
a word to them. To us it's a manifestation. See? It is no more a word; it's a reality.
Amen. God said, "Let there be light." That was the word, but now there is light. It ain't the word; it's the light. See
what I mean?
Notice, God said there will be a people who will be
adopted and rapture read, he said there would be a people conformed to the
image of the first born son, he said there would be sons of God who will
manifest as sons of God. It's no longer a promise, it's no longer a Word, it's
now a reality, the Word has become flesh. Because it is God working in you to
will (to hear it and recognize it) and then to do (to manifest it, to act upon
it).
122 Now, it isn't just a written Word to
us; it's a reality. We are in Him.
Now, we're enjoying Him; now we behold
Him; now we see Him the Word
manifesting Himself. It's hid out there, because why? It's veiled in human flesh. See? Oh, they say, "That bunch of
people, where'd they go to school? What education do they have? What did they
come from? What group do they belong to?" See, see, they don't get it. A
man said to another man the other day, said, "You have to belong to a denomination
to be a Christian." He said, "I am a Christian; I don't belong to any
of them." Said, "God taken this cancer out of me," said,
"now what do you think about that?" It was a doctor. He said,
"Show me the denominations doing it." See? All right. See, it's still veiled.
123 We're inside of Christ.
Now, as then, all true believers see Him,
the Word of promise of this day openly manifested.
T
and I would like to add, how do we see Him? Because as brother Branham
taught us, "Faith only sees what God
sees", and we have crucified
ourselves and yet we are living, yet it is not our own life that we are living,
but Christ is living our Life for us, and the life we are now living in the
flesh we are living by the Faith of the Son of God, because "our faith,
(the faith of Jesus), only sees what
God sees".
Now, brother Branham continues, That's a
big word if you can get it. See, see? All
true believers that's in the Word see God openly; the veil's rent, and God
stands openly before you, manifested. See? God, manifested openly...In order to do this our old denomination traditional veil must be rent again. In
order to really see what it is, you've got to come out from among that stuff.
See? You'll never do it; they'll keep pulling that veil before you every time:
"Oh, there's nothing to that." But here it is written, and here it is
made manifest. You see, see?
124
Now, what if a fellow refuses to see the sun, say, "Oh, there, I know God
said 'Let there be light,' but there is no such a thing. I'm going down in the
basement. I just refuse to see it"? The guy's crazy. There's something
wrong with him. There's something wrong
with a man or woman, can see the promise of God, and see It manifested, and
then refuse to believe It because the denomination pulls the veil down.
See, veiled...
125 In
order to do this, our denomination traditional veils must be broke by God's
Spirit of Fire and Sword, which is His Word. Always His Word is His Sword. See?
He took His Sword that day, full of Fire, and ripped that veil from top to
bottom. He does the same thing with the same Sword today. Not "my creed,
my book of creeds, my catechism." But the
Sword of the Lord (See?), rips the veil down and you see God
standing in plain view, manifested in His Word. What a
glorious view to look at. See? All right. God's Holy Spirit and Fire, His Sword
rips it; the Word rips the denominational veil.
126
What if you just said, "the Word,"
and the Word don't work? What good
would the Sword be here and say It can't rip...?... and It won't rip? But when
you lay that Sword of God up there and watch her rip, she's held by an ordained hand sent to do so. See, rips it open, and
there He is. There it shows God plainly
in view, the great Jehovah. That is His Word made manifest,
the portion that's promised to the
day. (There's your key right there) Do you get it? See? When the Sword promised of today, in
this day, what's supposed to be, and God takes His Sword and rips down the
denominational veil, and pulls it back, and manifests Himself, and shows
that He's there. Still that same
Pillar of Fire... Notice, that is the Word made manifest for today's
promises.
And I believe when God showed His great Pillar of Fire over that church
in Mbanza Ngungu, He showed us that He is still here, and he is verifying that
what we are preaching is the Word for this late hour. It's Adoption time, It's
manifestation of the sons of God time, It's conforming to the image of the
first born son time. And God has come down and verified that to be the truth,
because that is what God sent a prophet to do, to turn the hearts of the
children to the Apostolic Fathers.
127 We see It as did
Peter when he said to, "Lord, to whom would we go
after seeing this?" Where would we go? What church could we join, when we're
born in one? See? What could you... What denomination could you join after
knowing this Truth (See?), when they every one deny it: every one of them, I
haven't got a one that'll say a good thing for it. That's right. That's right.
128 I
started off on these trips down here, where forty-two churches in one place was
a sponsor, when I got there I had none. Every one said, "He believes in
eternal security." That left the legalists out. One said, "He
baptizes in Jesus' Name." That lets all the rest of them out. See? One of
them said, "He believes in the serpent's seed. The serpent has no
seed." That let...The Bible said, "I'll
put enmity between her seed and the serpent's seed."
See? See that it... The veil's been
lifted off of the Word. See? That's right. It's revealed to babes. It's
lifted; they see it. And will be as once said... That's right. Then it will be
as once said, "When you see..." When this veil is took off of
the Word, the traditions is taken off the Word, as Jesus once said,
"When
you see Me, you see the Father." See? God and His Word is One. Now you
understand? When the Word is manifested,
what is It? See?
129
Jesus said, "Search the Scriptures, you think you have... You believe in God,
believe also in Me. If I do not the works of My Father, then don't believe Me.
But if I do do the works, I and My Father are One. When you see Me, you have
seen the Father."And when you see the Word made
manifest, you see the Father God, because the Word is the Father; the Word is God. And the Word made
manifest is God Himself taking His Own Word and manifesting It among believers.
Nothing can make It live but believers,
just believers. It's not... It won't...
Unveiling of God 64-0614M
P:94 How about the people who say that they are veiled in the
Presence of God and preach some church tradition (Oh, mercy,
goodness.) which adds to and takes from, and everything else, like injecting
their own subjects and their own thoughts, and not the Word of God? See? What
kind of a veil? That's got an ecclesiastical veil. God tore that
veil wide open. They say, "There is no such a thing as prophets. There
is no such a thing in these last days as apostles and prophets. There is no
such a thing as Divine healing. There is no such a thing as seers anymore.
There is no such a thing as Mark 16 being fulfilled. Apostolic age is done."
They veiled It from the people, but God walked right out with His Holy
Spirit of fire and rent that thing from the top to the bottom. God has rent the
veil.
Unveiling of God 64-0614M
P:133 Notice, then we
become part of Him, as you are the veil that veils Him. You are part of Him, as long as
Christ is in you, as Christ was of God. Because God was in
Him, made Him God. And as Christ is in you, the hope of glory, you
become part of Christ. "He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall
he also." See? You become part of Christ as long as
Christ is hid in you. Then
it's veiled to the unbeliever, but you know He is in you. You're
templing Christ that's behind the veil, the skin. Then we become...
behind... Because of this veil... The veil again, in human flesh, hides God the Word from
the unbeliever.
Let us pray...
