Token no 51

The Rainbow Token

January 13, 2016

Brian Kocourek, pastor

Let's open our Bibles to St. John the 14th chapter and read beginning at verse 12 for our text.

John 14:12-14 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Thank you, you may be seated.

Last Sunday we examined the greater works, and saw how that the greater works means more of the same. So if a person claims to have the greater works then brother Branham said, well, let me see the works first and then show me the greater. In other words, don't tell me you are doing the greater works when you are not even doing the works.

Well, I would like to tie that in with something brother Branham said in the Church Age Book.

In the introduction to the ages, brother Branham said,   Church Age Book  Chapter 1 - Introduction - The Revelation of Jesus Christ P:16 Now remember this. Christ in the True Church is a continuation of the Book of Acts. But the Book of Revelation shows how that the antichrist spirit would come into the church and defile it, making it lukewarm, formal and powerless. It exposes Satan, revealing his works (attempted destruction of God's people and the discrediting of God's word) right down to the time he is cast into the lake of fire. He fights that. He cannot stand it. He knows that if the people get the TRUE REVELATION of the TRUE CHURCH and what she is, what she stands for and that SHE CAN DO THE GREATER WORKS, she will be an invincible army. If they get a true revelation of the two spirits within the framework of the Christian church, and by God's Spirit discern and withstand the antichrist spirit, Satan will be powerless before her. He will be as definitely thwarted today as when Christ withstood his every effort to gain power over Him in the desert. Yes, Satan hates revelation. But we love it. With true revelation in our lives, the gates of hell cannot prevail against us, but we will prevail over them.

Notice, Brother Branham said "if the people get the TRUE REVELATION of the TRUE CHURCH and what she is, what she stands for and that SHE CAN DO THE GREATER WORKS, she will be an invincible army.

So there has to come a time that the true church will understand who she is, and that "all things are possible to them that believe." And you would think every church in Ohio would believe this because the State Motto of Ohio is "with God all things are possible".

Now, let's continue with our text for this evening as we read from John 14: and now verse 13, because our understanding of John 14:12 is not complete until read before it like we did Sunday and the next few verses after it.

We showed Sunday how Jesus was talking to Philip about the Father working and Him working hitherto. So when Philip said to Jesus "show us the Father and it will satisfy", Jesus replied, "have I been so long with you Philip that you don't see the Father? When you see me you see Him because He is in me, and he is the one that doeth the things that you see. The Son can of himself do nothing, but whatsoever the Father doeth the son doeth likewise. Therefore, why do you ask me to show you the Father?"

So then Jesus explains that if the Father was in you, you also would do the things he does, and then he says what we read in John 14:12 but let's us know that "whatever we ask, He will do for us."

Listen to what he says here in verse "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Now if in John 14:12 he says "Whosoever believes in me", In other words since you can't believe until you have the same Spirit that was in him in you, then he is saying, "Whosoever is a genuine Holy Ghost believer will have the same nature as me, and the things I do you shall also do."

Thus we must ask the question, "what did Jesus do?" and the answer is he could do nothing, nothing, nothing until the Father showed Him first. Then if according to John 14:12 we are to do what the son of God did, that tells us that we will also do nothing until we first see the Father doing it first. And as we see in verses 13 and 14 that we ask, and He does, we ask and he does.

Now, this evening we're going to pick up at paragraph 169 where we left off last Sunday and continue through paragraph 172. In these paragraphs brother Branham continues to speak on the different Tokens that God has given to man, and how God expects us to display the Token that has been given to taking hold of that Token and applying along with our Faith.

Last Sunday we read also from paragraph 169 where brother Branham said, 169 He might've had to get people from somewhere else, but He got it done anyhow.

Here we talked on Sunday how God did more in brother Branham's ministry in the Godless town of Jeffersonville Indiana in that little church down there than he did in the town where Jesus was raised called Nazareth. But here we see him say, "he had to bring in people from outside Jeffersonville to get it done". And I mentioned Sunday how brother Collins said to me that half to two-thirds of the people who attended meetings at the Tabernacle in Jeffersonville when brother Branham was there came from out of town.

"He had more success right here, than He did in Capernaum, or Nazareth in that... He done more miracles right here in this Tabernacle, than He did in the entire ministry on earth. That's right. He did it. Now, what about the rest of the world? Oh, my. Now, that's what He done. Now, remember: He done. Now, I didn't say that I done (See?), 'cause I didn't do it. I just stood... And I just loved Him and just submitted myself to Him, and said what He said; and the Holy Spirit went to the other people, they believed what He said, and then He did the work. That's all. If He can get all of us believing it...

What would He do right now, if He can get us all believing it right now, right? There wouldn't be a feeble person around the country. That's right. If He could get everybody to believe it, it'd all be over. See? Hold your Token over your unmovable faith in His promised Word, and Satan will go. Now, I am going to close now.

Notice that what brother Branham says here is exactly according to what Jesus promised in John 14:12-14. The works took place but William Branham was not the one doing them, he was only standing there when Jesus performed those things.

Now, in paragraph 170 brother Branham begins to speak on another Token we see in Scripture and that was concerning the Rainbow God had placed in the sky after the great flood.

170 God once gave another token to the world. It was a rainbow. You remember that? He ever, ever remained true to that token, 'cause He gave it for a token. All these thousands of years, He never has failed to display that token. Is that right? Why? He honors it. He gave it. He gave the world a token that He'd no more destroy the world with a flood. And He's ever, ever since that day displayed...There's same elements in the air that makes that rainbow. When it rains and the sun comes out, that shows it. The sun dries up the rain; so He put the rainbow there to prove that there'd never be enough water to fall to the earth to destroy it again. That's His covenant; it's a token. He said, "I'll give it to you for a token."

171 He honored His token. He honored His token in the days of Noah. He shows it yet. He honored His token in Egypt. He honored it in Jericho. He honors It today. He ever honors His token when it's displayed. All these thousands of years, He has loved to display that token. He never forgets it. He don't forget His token. Now, no matter how much the world changes, the rainbow's still there. See? He honors the token. So does He now. He honors His Token. No matter how much the church changes, how much it does this, God still honors His Token, that only. Shows us He never fails to honor what He does and what He says. We accept the... We respect that. I do.

172 He expects us also to display His Token over our faith, to Satan and all his unbelieving cults and denominations, that we believe that His promise is true, and He will do what He promised to do. There's the church. No wonder you can't get to first base out there, as we call it. (Excuse the expression.) No wonder they don't get nowhere but go back to denomination, and make a bunch of dressed up, polished up people, intellectual, educated, never get anywhere; because that's what they display: "I am Methodist." "I am Presbyterian." That's all they are. But believers take the Token.

Now, let's examine that Token for a moment, because when we look at the scarlet thread in Rahab's Token, it symbolized the Blood of Christ. And although she was a harlot, yet God said in Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

And we know that when we view red through red it appears to be white. I have shown a little experiment several times over the years where I take red clear sheets of plastic and hold a book behind it that has a red cover and white letters. And when you look through the red you see a white book. You don't even see the white letters because the entire book is white. And the more light you shine on the book the whiter it gets.

So Rahab's scarlet thread was to signify her scarlet sin, and the scarlet color of the Blood forgiving her of her sin.

And in Egypt they actually took the red blood of the innocent lamb and applied it on the door posts and the lintel. Showing the forgiveness through the blood. And notice the Token in both these represented the blood of Christ and the forgiveness it gave and the promise of Life.

Now, brother Branham talks about the rainbow, and we notice in the rainbow there are seven colors. And seven is the number of completion.

LIFE  57-0602   E-22    Let's close our eyes to our imaginations for a few moments and go way back before there was anything. The great fountain of all eternity was that spirit of love, joy, that spirit of honesty, that spirit of trueness in this perfection.

Now, to begin we see before God made anything, that He dwelt alone period. And brother Branham points out He was a great fountain, which suggests to us that He contained something, and this something was living as the terminology "fountain" would suggest.  Genesis 1:1    ¶  In the beginning God, Elohim, the self existent One.

God was alone and in Him was Life. And as He began to bring forth this Life, it first went into His Son, which is His Offspring, and the word offspring means to spring off from. So we see, God, the great Fountain of Life, began to bring forth His great plan to fulfill Himself, and He began this fulfillment by bringing forth first a Son.

We find in John 5:26   "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;"

Therefore we can understand what David meant when He described God as the Great Fountain of Life.

Psalm 36:9 "For with thee [is] the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.'

Both David and John saw two main characteristics in God.

#1) they both saw this great fountain of Life, and

#2) that this Life was a great Light. And when we see the first expression of this fountain come forth when God begins to speak, What do we see first? Light is spoken, and then what does that Light bring forth? The Life that was in it. The Father giving birth to His Son.

QA HEBREWS PART 3  57-1006  339-Q-74  In the beginning God... We'll go back to our Hebrew teaching just for a few minutes. God was this great big fountain of seven colors. How many knows that? See? … Now, when He, the Logos went out of God, which was God coming from this one big fountain into a body in the form of a man, and it made the Logos, which we call theophany...

QA HEBREWS PART 2 57-1002   273-385 In the first place, when God, the Logos that went out of God... Or, as I have went through it, the Catholic call It, "the eternal sonship of God."... Which as I have said before, the word doesn't even make sense. See, there cannot be an eternal son, because a son had to have a beginning. And so Jesus had a beginning; God had no beginning. See? But the Son was the... Not eternal sonship, but the Son that was with the Father in the beginning was the Logos that went out of God. And it was the Theophany of God that went out, the human form that didn't have eyes like you see: a better eye. It didn't have ears like you hear, but a far more hearing. See? It was a Theophany, that all this rainbow condescended into a Theophany. Moses saw It when It passed through the rock like that. He saw the back parts, said, "It looked like a man."

Now, I would like to focus our thoughts this morning on this rainbow of light that came forth and condescended into this Theophany. For we know that in Him did all fullness dwell.

QA HEBREWS PART 2 57-1002  273-388  Now, notice, we find out that, Who was Melchisedec but God Himself. It couldn't have been no one else, for He was the King of Salem which is Jerusalem. He had no father nor mother; couldn't been Jesus, 'cause He had father and mother. He had no beginning of days, no ending of Life; there's only One that has that; that's God. It was God dwelling here in a Theophany. See? Notice, King of Salem...

Hebrews Chapter 1  57-0821 20-124    Now, the diamond when it comes forth, it's just a big smooth, round like piece of glass. There's a blue diamond, black diamond, emerald, and a clear diamond, white diamond. But when it come forth... Then when it's made and put into use there's a part of that diamond has to lose. And it has to lose the chips off of it. Knock little chips, because when it comes in direct light, like that, it makes a sparkle. The chip what makes a sparkle, the way it's cut. It's cut, chipped, and then when it does, it makes a sparkle, and one will go a green light, the other one will go a blue light, and maybe another an emerald light, and a red light, and different lights go from it like a rainbow colorThey call it fire in the diamond. Now, each one of those lights represents gifts. But it's only Christ is the Diamond. And He was the One Who came, and was bruised, and wounded, and chipped that He might reflect Himself back as a Light to the world. He's that Master Diamond.

20-126    Could you imagine before there even was a earth, before there was a light, before there was a star, before there was anything? There's a Great Fountain going forth of Spirit, and out of this Fountain came the most pure of love; 'cause there was nothing for it to come from there but love. Now, What we call love today is a perverted love. But just as we get a essence, or a little bit of that love in us, it changes our whole opinion. Then out of there come another stream off of this main Fountain, the Diamond, and it was called righteousness, absolutely righteousness. Now, that's the reason we had to have law. That's the reason law has to have judgment. If judgment doesn't follow law, law doesn't do no good. And when judgment was passed by law, which brings death... And there's no one who could pay the penalty but God Himself. And He paid the penalty of our death, and took our sins upon Him, that we might be the righteousness of God through Him. Now, when these great Lights went out, or great rays of Spirit: love, peace... That's all there was. There wasn't no suffering; there wasn't no hate, nor no malice. It couldn't come from this Fountain. That was Jehovah. That was Jehovah God. And now, as the theologians call it, a theophany went from That, which was called in the Scriptural the Logos, the Logos that went out of God. It's hard to explain, but It was a part of God.

21-129 Now, here's what happened. Oh... Excuse me; I just get on this... This just gets me right where I love it. See? The Logos, and this great Fountain; this great Fountain of Spirit which had no beginning or no end, this great Spirit begin to form in the creation; and the Logos that went out from It was the Son of God. It was the only visible form that this Spirit had. And It was a theophany, which means a body, and the body was like a man.

From the Message Attitude and Who is God? 50-0815  015 brother Branham said,    " And we're taught in the beginning, that the Logos, or the Son of God went out of God. Now, I do not believe in eternal sonship. That's even radical to even mention such a thing, eternal sonship. How could He had an eternal sonship...?... He had to have a beginning. See?   016   So He first was God, Jehovah. And out of Him... Let's just picture now as a little drama so you can get it. Let's see coming out of space where there's nothing, let's make it a little white Light, like a mystic Light, like a Halo. And that was the Logos that went out of God in the beginning. That was the Son of God that came out of the bosom of the Father. That was what was in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us. In the beginning was God. And then out of God came the Logos, a part of God that went out of God.

129 Hebrews Chapter 1 57-0821 "This Great Fountain of Spirit which had no beginning or no end. This Great Spirit began to form in the creation, and the Logos that went out from It was the Son of God. It was the only visible form that the Spirit had. And It was a theophany, which means a body, and the body was like a man.

Hebrews 1: 1-3 ¶  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  2  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;    Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, (The expressed image... or the out-raying or etching of God.) and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;  4 ¶  Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Amplified In Many separate revelations, - each of which set forth a portion of the truth, - and in different ways God spoke of old to our forefathers in and by the prophets. But in the last of these days He has spoken to us in the person of a Son, Whom he appointed heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time, - that is, He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order. He is the sole expression of the Glory of God, - the Light-being, the out-raying of the Divine, - and He is the perfect imprint and very image of God's nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, he sat down at the right hand of the Divine Majesty on High. Taking a place and rank by which He, Himself, became as much superior to angels as the glorious Name which  He has inherited is different from and more excellent than theirs.  For which of the angels did God ever say, "You are My Son, today I have begotten you, And Again, I will be to Him a  Father, and he will be to Me a Son."

Therefore we are looking at the expressed image of God coming forth in his exact representation. Remember , in the beginning God was this Great Fountain of Life and this Life was Light.

John 1:3 In Him was Life, (And where did this Life come from? John 5:26 tells us it came from the Father) And the Life was the Light of man. Therefore it was this Life that was in Him that is the Light of man. Now, John also said if we walk in that Light as He is in that Light it brings us into fellowship with the same one He is in fellowship with, and it also cleanses us from all sin. So we want to know more about this Great Light, that brings fellowship and cleanses.

Revelations Chapter 4 pt 2 24-ELDERS  61-0101   181   Jesus, God's accepted covenant surrounding the heavens. And around about Him was a rainbow around about the throne in the sight like a emerald, amberish, green Light around the throne. Praise be to God.

Revelations Chapter 4 pt 2 24-ELDERS   152    Watch this prophet here, five hundred and ninety-five years before the coming of Christ; see how his vision compares with John's. ... a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud,... a fire unfolding itself, and the brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof was the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had a likeness of... man. Notice the color of the Spirit of God which was above the likeness of these four Creatures, was amber. Amber is yellowish green. Now, watch: yellowish green, amber... Oh, He's the same yesterday... He revealed Hisself to Ezekiel in the midst of Ezekiel's vision. This Light that he saw coming above the four living Creatures was yellowish green. When He come to John, He appeared in the emerald which is also yellowish greenHe comes now to the revelator in yellowish green. He comes to us in yellowish green, the Light. Walk in the Light; He is the Light.

Therefore we that in God was a great fountain of Life and as we know there are many attributes which distinguish the difference between different forms of Life. This particular fountain of Life had seven colors which reflect the seven  major attributes of this Life.

Now, we have already shown that God Is Life and He is the Light of men. In the beginning when God brought forth a manifestation in which to dwell and to manifest, he spoke and a light was brought forth to give manifestation to himself. He called this Great Light, this other Being, his Son and in this Son dwelled the fullness of God. Not another God, but every attribute and characteristic of God came forth into an image, which He called His Son. For in Him it pleased the Father to dwell.

Malachi 4:2, The Lord is spoken of as "the sun of righteousness",

Peter calls Him "the Bright and Morning Star".

John calls Him the Light of the world. And also tells us if we walk in this Light as he is in this light, it brings, fellowship, healing and forgiveness of sins.

In nature, clouds are formed when the sun shines upon the rivers, lakes and oceans, and causes evaporation of the waters to go up. As the waters gather together, they form the clouds. During their ascent, a purifying process takes place and that which was many becomes one as we in also become one in fellowship. The clouds become white as snow.

John while on the Isle of Patmos hears the question in Revelation 7:13, "What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?" The answer: "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb. "

Just as we have clouds that bring storms and others that produce life-giving rain, so it will be in the spiritual.  Several places in the new Testament we are told that when God returns he will come in the clouds with His Holy angels.  In Isaiah. 19:1, "Behold Yahweh rideth upon a swift cloud,… " Psalm. 68:17 speaks of "the chariots of God are his angels".

In Revelations He is clothed with a white wig (which are clouds of angels, (or clouds of witnesses)) and with this clothing He portray His Attribute as the Supreme Judge. And He comes with Rain, which is his doctrine according to Deuteronomy 32:1 and Joel 2. This we know because the books are finally open and handed off to the earthly angel messenger in Revelations 10:7.

Once the earth is subdued and all resistance is crushed, the storm cloud changes to one bringing a gentle rain of nourishment and so we read in Psa. 72:6, "he shall come down like rain upon the mown grass; as showers that water the earth."

This descending rain will form the prism through which (figuratively speaking) the sun of righteousness (Malachi 4:2) has shone through. The result is the formation of the rainbow that transfigures the elect and brings them into the light, and restores them to their rightful position foreknown by God way back while he yet dwelled alone in that Great fountain of Life and Love.

In Revelations 10 he comes as the Angel of the Covenant, the same Covenant of restored Life as given to Noah. But remember, that Covenant was given after the Trial, the testing, and the judgment. But Noah was given Life and escaped all of that judgment. And Yet the Judge of all the Earth was present.  Now, this is important to know when we look at the colors of the rainbow. Because the colors of that Covenant Rainbow express the attributes of the Covenant Giver and the rainbow is the expression of that Covenant. The colors then each express a portion of that Covenant to us.

Any time you have a Covenant, there is usually several parts to that Covenant. There is the part that personalizes the Covenant between the parties represented. Then there is the Agreement itself, and then there are the assurances of the Covenant and the penalties if the covenant is broken etc.

Well, God's rainbow is a material manifestation of all that He is and all that this Covenant expresses to you and me. It is all written out in that rainbow. That is the Book. That is the expression of the agreement. And He hangs it in the sky for all to see His Agreement with his Seed, forever.

The first of the Lights to shine forth is given by love (red), Red symbolizes not only Love, but how that Love is represented, by blood. "for there is no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his brother". For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, and without the shedding of Blood there is no remission of sin.

So Red is the first color we see in the rainbow and that represents the Lamb slain before the foundations of the world and the means whereby we are brought back into fellowship with God.

Hebrews Chapter 6 and 7 57-0915M 269-628    ... the forerunner is gone--has for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. This great Forerunner has gone before us, making a way. He's become from a Spirit, the great fountains of the rainbow of God, Who had no beginning or no end. He was forever God. This ray of light went forth; it was a ray of love. That's the main one, red. The next color follows, which was blue: blue, the trueness. Next, followed after that was other colors to the seven perfect colors, which is the seven Spirits of God, that went from that great Fountain and that great Diamond that Jesus spoke of, that great Diamond that's chipped to reflect these colors. God was made flesh and dwelled among us, that He might reflect His goodness and mercy among us by gifts and signs and wonders. That whole big rainbow had become in a theophany, made in the image like man. Yet He wasn't a man; He didn't have flesh yet; He was a theophany.

The seven colors, beginning with red and ending with purple, God was displaying a natural miracle that demonstrated the complete redemption of man.

Hebrews Chapter 7 pt 2 Church Order  57-092 345-329  The Bible said in the Revelation, that the seven Spirits before the throne of God (Is that right?), the seven manifold, seven Spirits. We find out there's seven colors; there's seven church ages, there... Oh, it--it just runs... Seven is complete, and God was complete in seven Spirits, and those Spirits were perfect. The first was a color of red, perfect love, redemption. And how if we had time to give those colors, and show that each one of those colors represents God's purity. Amen. Those colors, there's seven natural colors. Those colors represents the purity of God. And the... Those colors represent the motives of God, the attitude of God.Those seven colors, they represented seven church ages, seven stars, seven angels. All through the Scripture, seven ministers, seven messengers, seven messages, all in the sevens. Seven days; six days, and the seventh's the sabbath (perfect, complete). Oh, it's beautiful. If we just had the time to dig into it, and to bring it out, those colors...

Notice he said the colors represent the motive and attitude of God. In other words they represented His Covenant Promise. Our motive is our purpose, and plan, and the attitude shows the state of mind or the disposition that God had towards His children. Therefore those colors spelled out the very covenant between God and His Seed.

First let us look at color in the natural. In the world of art, we have three primaries; redyellow and blue. These cannot be formulated by mixing. They come from the earth; but with these three colors, and the addition of black and white, any shade of the spectrum can be obtained. Herein lies a thought provoking, scriptural principle, for in red, we have a Hebrew word "Oudem" which means "red clay."

The second primary is yellow. we also find its counterpart in the principles of God. Yellow always speaks of trial and purging.

Fire which is always used in the purification process comes in the category of yellow. So once again even though we cannot make yellow, in the same way man, has no control over trouble.

Yellow represents the trials and testing we are purged and purified by. 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ

Then through the testing it molds into us the very character of the One who is testing us, for He is the Judge. Then it makes only sense that the Judge would be known by the yellowish or gold color, as we will see later on. And of course this Judge is God himself, because He is represented by the Gold color which speaks of deity. Did not Abraham call him the Judge of all the earth? When he said, "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

Then we come to orange which is a blending of the red, Love with the testings of the judge yellow. And that represent character which is molded by Love and the testing of that love. As the apostle Paul said, what Father having loved his child chastises them not?

Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Revelation Chapter 4 pt 2 24 Elders 61-0101  181 Noah's rainbow composed primarily of seven colors. Anybody knows the rainbow's got seven colors. Now, what are the colors? Red, orange, violet... No, red, orange, green, blue, indigo, and violet. That's the colors of the rainbow. Now, we got a deep thing here, and I'm just going to have to hit the high spots of it, 'cause it's getting too late, Now, remember, orange--or, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Now, if you notice, seven... Watch. Seven rainbows... Seven colors; I mean, seven-colored rainbow. That meant seven bows. Seven bows, seven churches reflecting seven lights, each light wrapped into the other oneIt started off with red, red. After red come orange, which is a reflection of red. After orange was... After orange come yellow, which is red and orange mixed together, makes yellow. Then green. Green and blue makes black. Then come indigo. And then from indigo comes violet, which is part of blue. Oh, oh, oh. Hallelujah. Don't you see? God, in His seven-colored rainbow, His covenant that He made, a covenant that through Seven Church Ages, the seven colors He would save the earth.

Then as we continue to look upon the colors of the rainbow we see the color Green which represents Life. Given Life, the evergreen, always showing life.

Revelation Chapter 4 pt 2 24 Elders 61-0101  202    So we see Him in the circle bow of green, amber color. This greenish, what does green represent? Life. Green is the evergreen, always stays green, is life. What does it mean? That God has promised, as He took a oath back there in Genesis, that He would no--put the rainbow in the sky, that He would no more destroy this world by water. He also takes His oath and swears by Himself, that all the Seed of Abraham He'll raise up, and this world will stand all of its shaking judgments.

Eternal life (green), Through the vindicated Trueness of God's eternal Word (blue). We say he is true blue, showing that blue represents trueness and what is more true than Gods Word. Did not Jesus say, I am the way, the Truth and the Life.

Then we have indigo which is a very deep blue which represents royalty and finally a (violet - purple) which represents priesthood and intercession for our confession.

John 17:17 ¶  Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18    As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20  ¶  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21    That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22    And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Thus through the restorative power of the light of God, God's plan of salvation is revealed, yet the message of the rainbow covenant ensures us that all is on schedule and "the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea" (Isa. 11:9).

Revelation Chapter 4 pt 2 24 Elders  61-0101 154 Notice the color of the Spirit of God which was above the likeness of these four Creatures, was amber. Amber is yellowish green. Now, watch: yellowish green, amber... Oh, He's the same yesterday... He revealed Hisself to Ezekiel in the midst of Ezekiel's vision. This Light that he saw coming above the four living Creatures was yellowish green. When He come to John, He appeared in the emerald which is also yellowish green. He comes now to the revelator in yellowish green. He comes to us in yellowish green, the Light. Walk in the Light; He is the Light.

Revelation Chapter 4 pt 2 24 Elders 61-0101  158    Watch. Are you ready? Listen. Keep this now, just remember, to let you know. (Gene, you can hold this tape.) Listen. (No, I don't have to hold it there; that's all right.) I mean just keep the tape; permit this to the church. Notice this. Now, that you might know that the color of the Light that's with the Lord, and the Lord's Light that follows the Lord, and this is the Lord, is amber, yellowish green. That's the same color of the Light that's with us today, as the scientists has took Its picture: yellowish green, amber.

Revelation Chapter 4 pt 2 24 Elders 61-0101  170    Now, notice how the Lord in His great mercy give us these things. Now, let's take another. Both Ezekiel and John saw Him in the mystery of His colors and Light, and called it a amber color. John later... You that's putting down the Scriptures: I John 1:5 to 7. John later (and was on the Isle of Patmos about three years when he wrote the Book), when he come back, an old man in his nineties, in I John 1:5 and 7, he said, "God is Light." John had an experience; he had seen Him and he knowed that He was Light, Light, eternal Light; not cosmic light, not lamp light, electric light, sunlight, but eternal Light. Oh, how I love Him. "God is Light."

Revelation Chapter 4 pt 2 24 Elders 61-0101  185  But when John saw Him in thisamber color, the amber color, He surrounded and covered around like a halo. A halo... A halo of amber color surrounded His Being. See? One color, one God over all, through all, and in all, but there is Seven Church Ages.

Revelation Chapter 4 pt 2 24 Elders 61-0101  196    But when John saw Him here, what was it? The day of redeeming was over. It was all over, so he seen Him back in His original condition, an amber color. Not only just half the world, it can only... The sun can only shines on half the world at a time (See?), as it goes around. But when John saw Him, He was setting to look upon as jasper and sardius stone, amber colors; mix the two together, you got amber. "And a amber color around the throne." Oh, my. Oh, I--I tell you, that just... We could just go on and on. Seven Spirits, seven colors, seven church ages, seven ministers, seven lights, everything's in a seven. God's perfect in seven. God worked six days; the seventh day He rested. The world will exist six thousand years, and the seventh thousand is the millennium.

The third primary in the natural is blue. When we come to this color in scripture, we approach one of the most sublime subjects of the Bible. Blue is the symbol of the Word and healing power of God. We refer you to the Numbers 15:38-41.

"Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them (Trueness); and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God. I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God."

This is the reason heaven above is blue, for it speaks to us of the eternal presence of Elohim. The color of God's chosen nation, the people of Israel, is blue, dating back to the time of David. We also note in Ezekiel 1:26, that the restored throne of David which will rule supreme in all the earth, being God's throne, is spoken of as sapphire, which is blue. We note with extreme interest, what the woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years, said when she saw Jesus: "If I can only touch the hem of his garment, I shall be made whole" (Matthew 9:21). The hem of that garment was blue. We must point out, however, that Christ immediately emphasized it was her faith that made her whole and she had not gained healing by the works of the law. Also note carefully that she had to kneel down, literally bowing before the Lord to touch the hem of his garment. This custom was not confined to this woman, for in Matthew 14:26, we find the multitudes following this example and getting the same results. T

he prophet Zechariah, speaking symbolically, tells of the day when all nations shall be healed. He says in 8:23, that ten men out of every nation shall take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, "We will go with you for we have heard that God is with you." This is the day when the curse shall be lifted and the desert shall blossom as a rose.

Revelations Chapter 4 PT 2 24 Elders 61-0101  172    Notice, we're going to start back now and see where we're at. On the 3rd verse yet, aren't we? Are we going to get it? I hope. All right. He was to look upon as jasper and sardius stone: and there was a rainbow... about the throne, in the sight like unto an emerald, yellowish green. Now, rainbow, you notice it was a rainbow. Let's go back in Genesis 9 and find out in Genesis 9:13. And we'll find back here the rainbow, when a rainbow first appeared. Genesis the 9th chapter, and we will begin at the 13th verse, Genesis 9:13. All of you like this? Oh, I love it. I just don't like it; I love it. Look. I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token,... (Watch.)... token of a covenant betwixt me and the earth... (What? "Betwixt Me and Noah"? No. "Betwixt Me and the earth.") And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which--which is betwixt me and you... (Now, He come back to His covenant betwixt them, but the rainbow covenant.)... See, the covenant was life for Noah, that He spared him, but the covenant that God made with Himself was a rainbow, that He would not... Now, I'll show you what Noah's covenant was with God, in a minute. But this here was God's own covenant with Himself (Amen.), a rainbow.

Now that we have our three primary colors, let us do a little paint mixing. In the natural if we blend yellow and blue, the result is green. In the spiritual, you mix trial (yellow) and blue (the Word or Power of God) and we get green (the color of immortality)

Psalms 1:3. "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season: his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." (An evergreen treeGreen is the symbol of life, the ever green, resurrection every spring, etc.. In Aaron's rod that budded, (laid up in the ark of the covenant), there is the symbol of selection and resurrection, Numbers 17:8.

Let us blend two more colors. In the natural, if we mix red and blue, the result ispurple. In the spiritual when we take red (Love) and blue (Truth, the Word is Truth) the result will be purple (Priesthood, mediator-ship which comes by Love).

Noah looking at the rainbow saw seven steps (the number of spiritual perfection) as we see in 2 Peter. 3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:  4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your (1) faith       (2) virtue; and to virtue (3) knowledge; 6  And to knowledge (4) temperance; and to temperance (4) patience; and to patience (5) godliness; 7  And to godliness (6) brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness (7) charity. 8  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  9  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

Beginning with God giving his Son by Love, (red) going through trial, (Gold or yellow) being guided into all truth for God's Word is Truth, (blue) bringing forth Eternal Life and immortality (green) and finally  Priesthood; (purple) which is service, Thus Fulfilling Revelations 5:10, "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."   Now that we have carefully laid the pattern of color in the Bible, namely that red refers to Loveyellow--trialblue--Truthgreen--Life and immortality; and purple--royalty or priesthood; For we shall be Kings and Priests. I hope next time you see one you will see the character of God and the character he wants in us. Let's pray.
