Mark of the beast

Last Sunday we looked at about half a dozen comments brother Branham made concerning the Token being applied at the time of Judgments God sends upon the people. During this Token sermon, he brought out the time of the Flood, then concerning the trials of Job, and then the Exodus from Egypt, and the battle of Jericho where Rahab the Harlot was given the promise of the token, and was told whoever came in under the token of her house was saved. He also showed new testament examples as in the Book of Acts where the Philippians Jailor and his household were saved by the Token.

Then we began looking at things brother Branham said concerning the oncoming storms of judgments that are beginning to take place in this hour. He said the judgments would come in many different ways. He named a few such as a Economic Depression like the world has never seen, and World War III, including germ warfare, and world-wide famine, and pestilence, along with natural disasters like earthquakes, and tidal waves, and even heavenly Judgments as well that will shake the earth and everything on it.

We read in Hebrews 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

So we know this is the hour for payback to the nations for rejecting the Living God who came down with a Shout which is a living Word.

This morning I would like to pick up where we left off last Sunday and we will read from the Book of Daniel for our text.

Daniel 11: 21-23: ¶ And in his estate (office) shall stand up (rise up) a vile person, (morally debased, depraved, or despicable:) to whom they shall not give the honor of the kingdom: (notice his ability to serve has been tested nearly 40 times in court because he is not a "natural born" citizen.) but he shall come in peaceably, (who came into office and the first thing he received was the Nobel Peace prize? Who? Obama. Now, Listen, He was sworn in on January 17th, 2009 and the Nobel committee will not receive a nomination after the first meeting that takes place after February 1st of each year. That means they had to have been nominated him immediately after he was sworn into office, and the maximum time they had to do it was 13 days after he was sworn into office. 13 is the number of America in the Scriptures with her thirteen stars and thirteen stripes and thirteen colonies.) and He shall obtain the kingdom by flatteries. (Flattery is an insincere compliment or speech; excessive, insincere praise.) So who came into office by flattering the people saying "yes we can" and promising the people everything they lusted for, cell phones, paid college, paid medical bills, paid cars and paid gasoline, and paid houses and the list goes on and on and on. But all were lies except the free cell phones:)

Now, Obama is nothing but a puppet for higher ups who are pulling his strings, but he is the figurehead and fall-guy that will take the blame for the real false prince of the south who is the pope himself, who as a Cardinal was called a prince of the church.

And we know that the United States gives life to the beast system which is the Roman church. The United states is the other beast that comes up out of the land, and is called the image of the beast because she has two horns like a lamb, but speaks like a dragon. The first horn is the ecclesiastical horn or the world council of churches, and the other horn, the civil horn is the United Nations. Now, the horns are significant in understanding this beast because the horn of the male Lamb or Ram are used to call the people to a gathering. Therefore, America looks like a lamb, because she has two horns, the world council of churches and the united nations, and they are both located in New York the head of commerce in the United states. Notice though this lamb speaks like a dragon, and we know the dragon is Satan.

Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

Now, this is the same beast or power that we see in Revelation chapter 17.

Revelations 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

Now, remember, she is called a whore by God. And a woman in the Bible represents a church, always. By her description she is either a true church or an adulterous church. This here is speaking of an adulterous church.

It wasn't so from the beginning 61-0411 P:47 Eve was the first one to pervert the human race. She was the one, then Eve which represents a church. A woman in the Bible always represents the church. Christ is coming for an espoused virgin. The old prostitute of the Bible was called "the church setting on the seven hills," the Roman church. Oh, church... And she had daughters, which was the others that followed her and come out of her, was born from her in their same denominational barriers and same thing, same kind of a system. In them churches, there are fine people. But it's the system that binds them. It's not the church itself; it's the people in the church. It's the system behind it that binds them, puts them into a place, breaks out fellowship, won't let them go on with God. And it's a pitiful thing. But that's what does...That's what God hates. Not the people in there, but the system that's binding them is what He hates, is that organization that tells them if they go to another church they're going to be excommunicated. And the people don't know what to do. They'll pay for it someday.

Notice this church in Revelations 17:2 it says, "With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3  So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman (a church) sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.

All things 62-1124E P:40 God wants to perform His Word by His power. And when the church denies His power, how can He perform and vindicate His Word? When the church explains it away and says it's for some other day, and something, how can God, Who wants -to fulfill His Word, and perform His Word among the people... And the people deny that He does it. Yet, they go through all the rituals. See? Here's what's happened. God wants to perform by the Holy Ghost, and vindicate His Word; and the church wants to perform. They have to deny the Holy Ghost. They want to perform to make a big organization, and what else? To bring membership, no matter what you have to baptize sinners, drunkards, bootleggers, anything else, and take them into the body of the church. No wonder Revelation 17 said this old prostitute woman, that had a bunch of daughters, that she was full of names, or blasphemous names. Churches, or daughter-calling the names of her daughters...People who join churches and call that "got salvation," it's a blasphemy. Now, I know the King James here said, "names of blasphemy," but you look in the Diaglott, and see if it is. It says, "Blasphemous names." There's quite a difference. She is full of those. She's got nine hundred and something different organizations in her, plenty of blasphemous names. Got away, by some manmade tradition got away from the true worship, power out of the... 41   "Oh, you say, "I went down there, and there's a lot of power. Brother, the whole floor was dancing in the Spirit," and not enough faith to heal a toothache. You call that power? That's not power. That's blessings. There's a lot of difference between blessings and power. God makes His blessings upon the righteous and unrighteous. The sun shines and... See? We got to get back to truth, friends. We got to come back to what God means. What He says, He means. See? And He refused their... Once hid His face from their prayers...

4  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, (Scarlet the color of the princes

of the church, cardinals)

and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls,

having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery Babylon the Great, The

Mother of Harlots and Obama-Nations of the earth.

6  And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

7  And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

8  The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: According to William Branham this is papal succession, was, is not, was, is not, etc..

Why are we not a denomination? 58-0927 P:47 Now watch, listen to this just a minute. "Five kings, which it was fallen, five kings." If you want that from the history, I'll show it to you. "And one is, and one's to come." Now watch, "the beast." Now, the beast wasn't a king. He was one which is, which is not; and yet he is, and is not; yet he is, and is not. What is it? Succession of the popes, a power, a beast ruling. That's when pagan Rome was converted to make papal Rome. Pagan Rome was converted, and then it become the papacy, which, they had a pope in the stead of a king, and the pope is the spiritual king. That's the reason he's a crowned spiritual king, claims to be the vicar of Jesus Christ. There you are.

"and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

9  And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. Now, remember, a woman types a church, so this church sets on seven mountains.

10  And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11  And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. 12  And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. Notice these are not kings but receive power as kings, which means they are dictators.

Why are we not a denomination? 58-0927 P:49 Let's see. And the beast that was, and is not,... (the 11th verse)... and yet is the eighth, now the seventh, and goeth into perdition. (He'll continue on until he hits the bottomless pits at the end of the road.) And the ten horns which thou saw are ten kings,... (Now watch here. If you want to see something striking, watch this.)... are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. They're not crowned kings; they're dictators. See, they never was crowned king, but they received power as kings one hour in the reign of the beast. That's just in this little shadowy time right now where dictators are rising up (See?), "Received power as king one hour with the beast." Now, all right.

13  These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

You can see that every president of the free world has kissed the ring or bowed to the pope or knelt in submission to him.

14  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Hear Ye Him 58-0328 E-18 018 They've never had a juvenile delinquency among the Mennonite people. They've never had any rock-and-roll teen-age stuff among the Mennonite people. And if they can produce a crop like that without our modern education, God be with them is my prayer. I'd rather have my boy in something like that and not even know his ABC's. I'd rather he'd know Christ, and be borned again, and not know the difference between split beans and coffee. Right. We need the old fashion Gospel preached again in the power and the demonstrations of the Holy Ghost. When our nation gets to a place that it robs us of our constitution, it shows that communist has rottened it to the core. Exactly right.

15  And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

16  And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

17  For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. And you have already seen the pics of the world leaders all bowing to the pope. The first G5 world Economic summit took place at the urging of the Vatican. "On September 22, 1985, at the Plaza Hotel in New York, the Group of Five leading industrialized powers - the United States, Japan, West Germany, Britain and France - agreed to act to reverse the destabilizing surge in the dollar, which had gained more than 50 percent in value over the previous seven years." The sixth signer on the document was the secretary of State of the Vatican. Six is the number of man.

18  And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. Notice this city sets on seven mountains, which sets upon the sea which is nations, tongues - (languages), multitudes and people. and rules over the kings of the earth. We are looking at the Vatican city which is the Vatican State, the only city in the world to be its own sovereign state.

Revelations 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. Now, Rome is the city, but the great red dragon is Satan, and he is the one who has given the Roman church her seat and authority, because he still rules the nations until Jesus comes back and claims his inheritance.

Revelations 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4  And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5  And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Notice it was the Roman empire that was ready to destroy the Christ child when it was born, and then In 476 C.E. Romulus, the last of the Roman emperors in the west, was overthrown by the Germanic leader Odoacer, who became the first Barbarian to rule in Rome. The order that the Roman Empire had brought to western Europe for 1000 years was no more.

When the Roman Empire died when the Goth and Visigoths came in and destroyed her, it looked like she was totally dead as a world power, but she was resurrected as a papal power.

3  And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon (satan) which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5  And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. (Now, 42 months is three and a half years, and that will be the extent of the great tribulation period.)

6  And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. (claiming the saints and using them as part of her scheme to squeeze out money from the inhabitants of the earth.)

7  And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8  And all that dwell upon the

earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9  If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10  He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Now, in getting back to Revelations 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, (Notice this first beast is Rome) and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast,(Rome) whose deadly wound was healed. 13  And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, (notice, in the site of all men, that could only be through television, and the fire to come down could be the Space program which deceived the whole world into thinking we went to the moon, and it could also be the shock and awe that was broadcast when we went into Iraq. The whole world saw live on television the fire coming down from the heavens and taking out building after building. This was played on every television throughout the world as a display of United states superiority as a world power).

14  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast,

Notice this beast out of the land, the USA was able to give life unto the Beast out of the sea, Roman Catholic Church. For the past several hundred years the Roman church has been neutralized, the Jesuits being kicked out of many countries, but Since John Kennedy there has been a resurgence of the Romish church in being the scenes power brokering.) that the image of the beast (the USA) should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (The last president made that quite clear with the patriot act and his words, "if you are not for us you are against us". And Obama did a one up on the patriot act with the National Defense Authorization Initiative which says the President has a right to kill any American citizen he feels is a threat to this nation. We now live in a dictatorship, and Congress is scared to act just like when Sadam Hussein and Hitler took over their countries. )

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Now, brother Branham taught us this mark in the hand and in the forehead is not some tattoo, or some bar code, but it is in the forehead which means it is in the mind, in the thoughts, and in the hand which is in the actions.

Mark of the beast 54-0513 P:74 Now, you see what the mark of the beast is? It's the mark of apostasy. It's a person who just thinks that, "Well, I belong to church, and I'm just as good as the next fellow. Am not I belonging to this church?" And you realize where your church organization that you're depending on, where it come from? Do your realize? The Bible said, "He that worships the beast, receives his mark, or the letter of his name (Now, watch.) in forehead or hand." That's knowledge or deed. That don't mean you got a big tattoo on your face. It don't have to be that. It's not talking of the outward. It's talking of spiritual. You watch him and see what he knows about the Scripture. Listen to him and see where he goes to. "If any man don't have this doctrine, there's no Light in him," the Bible said. See? See? Watch where it goes to. Watch what he does. You say, "Well, I belong. I'm Protestant. Yes, sir. I belong to this certain church. Yes, sir." And on Sunday you just have about enough respect for it to come in out of the rain. He goes down, instead of going to prayer meeting, you'll close up the church and set and watch television. He goes out here and he drinks and carries on and acts like the rest of the world, yet he belongs to the church. Remember, that's the mark of sin.

Why are we not a denomination? 58-0927 P:28 Now, notice.... whom the kings of the earth have committed fornications, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. Her wine is what she was giving out, her stimulation: "We are the church. We're the one that's got it." See? Now, just draw that in your mind now. All right. So he carried...Like the angel told John, "I will show you this judgment that's coming to this great church." Now, watch. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman setting upon a scarlet coloured beast,..."Scarlet," in the Bible, represents "royal." The color "scarlet" means "red." And "beast" represents "power." Did you notice the beast come up out of the sea; that was in the Revelation the 13th. And when you see the beast coming up out of the sea, it's meant that this power was raising up among the people. But in Revelation 13, when this lamb came up, he came up out of the earth, no people: United States. But then after he had two little horns: civil and ecclesiastical powers. And then he received power and spoke like the dragon did before him. So you just got to mark it down; we are coming into a religious persecution with the same things that they did in pagan Rome many years ago, for it's THUS SAITH THE LORD. Now, what is it, "setting upon a beast, a power."

Seal of God 61-0216 P:73 Now, remember, you'll either have the Holy Ghost or take the mark of the beast. There's just two classes.

Mark of the beast 56-0715 P:51 Now, let the Spirit of God come in, come through the hearing of the Word. You heard it. That's the Bible. If you receive the mark of the beast, you're lost forever. If you receive the Seal of God you're sealed forever. And there's the two spirits is working.

Israel in Egypt 53-0325 P:105 Then Joseph was sold for almost thirty pieces of silver by his brothers. The Jewish church betrayed Joseph. Today what is it in this church? A betrayal. They getting documents; they're going to try to have a... Well now, you just keep this on your mind. They're going to have a confederation of churches. The churches of Christ of America has already confederating with all their churches, and they're going to have a band here someday that'll shut out to fight Communism, which will hook up with Catholicism, with the Protestant church and the Catholic church together. And the inter-denominations who stand out for the truth, and get away from that dogma that they've got, will be persecuted. The mark of the beast, the Seal of God, the showdown will soon come. And, brother, if That's not in there, (He talking about if the Holy Ghost is not in you) you'll be deceived as sure as the world, 'cause it'll look so nice. You'll say, "Now, if Communism made a, .. for the world, why, let us make another agreement, and bring all the Christian, and Christianize the world back." And look so good, the people will jump into it. See? They'll confederate the churches, and bring, try to make Christianity one unit. And the Bible says in Revelations, that he give his power and everything, that he made an image unto the beast and exercised all the power the beast did before him. Sure, it is. Wish we had time to hook Revelations in this thing (But we haven't. See?) to see where it's at. You're right here in the end of time, brother. We're at the end of the age.

Strait is the gate 59-0301M P:78 The hour is at hand. Every sensible person that's got reasoning, knows that something's fixing to happen. There's not a person in this building that's got its right mind, but knows that this world cannot stand under these conditions. We can't stand, friends. There's not one thing; as your pastor and your brother, there is not one thing that I can guide you towards this morning but to Jesus Christ. There isn't a thing that I know. Just think of the things that's prophesied to come before the rapture takes place, everything that I know of is done fulfilled. You say, "What about the mark of the beast?" That's to come in the tribulation. The Church will be gone then. Won't have to mark these; these done gone. See? The marking's going on now. The marking is the showing forth, the brand. Flee to God; flee to Him quickly.

Let me explain this if I might. Brother Branham is telling us the branding is going on right now. Either you are receiving the mark of God which is the Holy Ghost in your soul, or you are receiving the mark of apostasy which is receiving an organizational spirit. But just as God requires the mark of God which is His Holy Spirit in you He also requires you to apply it, so that when He comes through the land He will see it openly displayed.

In the same way the devil will also require his mark to be displayed as well. That means to be seen visibly, therefore, the mark of the beast will have to be applied at some point during the tribulation period. Because Satan is building his kingdom and has been doing so for six thousand years.

And Satan has no word of his own, he has always taken God's Word and perverted it. So then it is only natural to see that as God requires his token, His Seal to be applied or seen outwardly, so too Satan will one day require his mark also to be applied in order to be seen outwardly. And those who have taken the mark of the beast in their mind and in their actions could one day have to their mark displayed in order to buy and sell, or they will perish. And it sounds like brother Branham says that physical mark won't happen until the tribulation.

Let us pray...
