Unveiling
of God no 112
The
Veil part one
September 1,
2019 am
Brian
Kocourek, Pastor
This
morning I would like to move on from our examination of the Two Vines. Too be very
honest with you, I must be very careful concerning what I teach because if we
focus on any subject for too long, that focus can begin to influence the way we
live and react to others in a way that we can lose our balance if we are not
careful. Then you find yourself becoming too hard in your spirit against those
who would appear to be in opposition to what God is showing you. And I do not
wish to be at odds with anyone who loves this Message, and holds onto it and
lives it.
I
feel a grave responsibility, more than you are aware because there are
thousands of brethren around the world who are reading my sermons which are
translated into 13 languages and now a 14th is beginning to be translated into
the Moore Language which in
addition to Burkina Faso, and in neighboring countries like Ivory Coast, Ghana
( where many of the Mossi people have emigrated) and then marginally it is
also spoken in Mali, Benin, Togo, Niger.
Now,
with that in mind, this morning we'll continue with our study of brother
Branham's sermon the Unveiling of God and read from paragraphs 76 through 107.
Here
we pick up where brother Branham is beginning to speak about the veil or vessel
and how God uses which ever veil He chooses. But before we read, I want you to never forget what brother Vayle
taught us concerning the vessel, where he said, "Get
your eyes off the vessel and get them on the God who is using the vessel." The
reason I say this is because when God uses a veil or vessel to speak through,
we must never forget it is never the veil or vessel which God uses that we
should focus on but rather the God who is using that vessel.
Now,
the purpose of the veil or vessel God uses is for God who is invisible to use
something that is visible to declare himself and make himself understood. But
the danger lies in the fact that when people see the invisible God do things
through a visible veil or vessel, they have a tendency to worship the veil or
vessel, and this God does not like.
Therefore,
if we do not keep what br. Vayle taught us in mind, we could get carried away
with some things we are going to read, and go off the deep end and begin to
worship the creation more than the creator as the Apostle Paul warned us in Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are
without excuse:
Now,
the only way the invisible things can be understood is by God using something
made, which is visible and he uses it in such a way that you know for certain,
man cannot do those things, and therefore you know it for certain has to be God
doing it.
Yet
the trouble is that God Himself is invisible, and so to make Himself understood
to his visible creation, he uses something that is visible also, (a veil or
vessel) so that man can see with his eyes, and hear with his ears what God
wants for him to see and hear, and in doing so, if man is not careful he will
not keep separate the veil (vessel) from the God who is using it, and that is
when men get in trouble with God. Because they tend to transfer their worship
from the Invisible One to the visible veil (vessel).
Notice
what Paul continues to say, 21 "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain
in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed
the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted
beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to
uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own
bodies between themselves: 25 Who
changed the truth of God into a lie, (and
how did they change the truth of God into a lie?) and worshipped
and served the creature (the veil or vessel which can be
seen) more than the (invisible) Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
So
we see by worshipping the thing that is made instead of the one who made it, they
go into pagan like idolatry. And this evening we will see this same idolatry is
when the people worship the anointed vessel instead of the God who anoints that
vessel. That is why brother Vayle always warned us to get our eyes off the
vessel and onto the God who is using the vessel.
Therefore
as we begin to read again from the Unveiling of God, keep your focus on the
God who uses the vessel, rather than on the vessel itself, because if you do
not, you may begin to merge the vessel which is the creation together with God
who is the invisible creator and when you do this you lose your balance, as did
the Oneness Pentecostals who got confused by the vessel and ended up making
Jesus and God one Like your finger is one. So too will you begin to make a Prophet
of God, God himself just like your finger is one and that is when you go into
complete delusion.
Notice
brother Branham says, 76 "Now,
the natural veil: (and
remember the natural veil is the creation, it is not God) "God the Word veiled in human flesh, what was it? God was
veiled in Moses. God was in Moses, veiled,
(in other words Moses was the creation, the natural veil that God
veiled Himself in) and the Presence of God was IN him. (now
before you get carried away with this listen to how he ascribes God being in
Moses) He was
so perfect with that Word in him like
that, till he had to veil his face.
And it was a vindicated prophet that unfolded the Word and told them, "Thou shalt not. Thou shall. Thou shalt not." See?
Now,
before we go any further, let's see what brother Branham is talking about from
the Scriptures.
Exodus
34:29-35 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from
mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down
from the mount, that Moses wist not (or
understood not)
that the skin of his face shone
(glowed or radiated) while he talked with him. 30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses,
behold, the skin of his face shone;(glowed
or radiated) and
they were afraid to come nigh him. 31 And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of
the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. 32 And
afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment
all that the Lord had spoken with him in
mount Sinai. 33 And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.
34 But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out. And he came out,
and spake unto the children of Israel that
which he was commanded. 35 And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone:(
glowed or radiated) and Moses put the
veil upon his face again, until he
went in to speak with him.
Ok,
so here we see that Moses had been in the presence of the Lord for forty days
and nights and being in The Presence of the Shekina Glory (which is the
Presence of God) and he was there for such a long time, that the Shekina Presence actually still glowed
from Moses face when he came back among his own people.
Let
me make this so simple you won't fail to see this. How many of you have ever
stood close to a bon fire and while you were there your face reflected the
light of that fire. Now, picture yourself there for such a long time that when
you come into the house, your face looks all reddish as though your skin was
slightly burnt.
How
many of you have ever witnessed that? When your face is in that condition, you
can say that your face still shows the effects of that Fire, right?
Well,
Moses had been so long in God's presence, God's great Shekina
glory, the great Pillar of Fire,
that his face actually reflected God's presence or Pillar of Fire upon
his skin.
Now,
that was God veiling His Word in Moses. Yet that did not make Moses God. And
this is the point I want to make here. We must never forget the vessel or veil
God uses is still a creation of God, and that God alone is the creator who
alone is worthy of worship.
Now,
the apostle Paul speaks to us of this situation over in 2 Corinthians chapter 3.
3:1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others,
epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
Notice the Apostle Paul is telling us
here that we are not like the world where they need letters of recommendation
or letters of commendation, or even letters to introduce themselves to others.
But in fact he says our ministry is not like that. He says, God does not
operate that way. But in fact he says, in the very next verse 2 Ye are our epistle written in our
hearts, known and read of all men: 3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of
Christ (and notice here) ministered by us, (but) written not with
ink, (no that's not how God does that) but with
the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Notice his language here. He is saying
we don't need letters from our organization telling you about us, but we do
have letters of commendation, but they have not been penned in ink but rather
God has allowed us to use His Holy Spirit to write in your hearts HIs Word in
such a way, that you bear the markings of God's word in your heart and in your
life. People look at your life and say, my but I see Christ in your life, and
you no doubt are a Christian, I can tell it in your life. And Paul says, that
was my ministry, and God has given me use of His Spirit to etch His Word into
your hearts in such a way that it has changed you and it is visible to all. And
God has trusted me with His Spirit and His Word to do just that.
And then he
says, 4 And such trust have we through
Christ to God-ward: 5 Not that we are sufficient of
ourselves to think anything as of
ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 Who also hath made us
able ministers of the new
testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit
giveth life.
He says it is not the written Word
that is etched into your flesh, but rather it is apparent that the very Spirit,
the very life of that Word has been etched into your very being and you now
reflect the life of the Holy Spirit in your mortal vessel. And he says this
grace that has allowed us to do this for you and to you has not anything to do
with us, but rather Christ working in us both to will and to do that it might
be that our sufficiency is of God. Because it is God working in us both to will
and to do that hath made us able ministers, or ministers who are able to infuse
you with the very life of the word. And not the letter only for the letter
killeth, but the spirit maketh alive.
And then he
goes on to tie this thought in with what happened with Moses and which brother
Branham is speaking to us about in this portion of the Unveiling of God.
And so the
Apostle Paul says, 7 "But
if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so
that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for
the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather
glorious?
In other
words, if the ministration of the law was so glorious that God reflected
from the face of Moses when Moses stood in His presence while he wrote on
tablets of stone the commandments of God, How much more glorious will it be
when God allows us to use His Spirit to impart His very Life into your mortal
beings?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the
ministration of right-wise-ness exceed in glory. 10 For even that which was made
glorious had no glory in this respect, by
reason of the glory that excelleth.
In other words, you think it was a glorious thing for
Moses to reflect the Shekina glory when he stood in the presence of the Shekina
Glory of God? And that when he brought down two tables of stone that had the
letter on it, the law, and which men still had to make sacrifice for because
they just could not live what the law called for them to do.
How much greater will it be when the Holy Spirit will
bring forth a ministry that will not etch into tables of stone the letter of
the law, but when the Holy Spirit Himself comes and brings His glory, His Doxa,
His opinions, values, and judgments, and they will be etched into the very
hearts of the children of God.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which
remaineth is glorious. 12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of
speech: 13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the
children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is
abolished: 14 But their minds were blinded:
for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the
old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. 15 But even unto this day, when
Moses is read, the veil is upon
their heart. 16 Nevertheless
when it (the
hearts) shall
turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit:
and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face (no veil upon our hearts and minds) beholding as in a
glass (a mirror) the glory
of the Lord, are changed into the same
image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the
Lord.
Now,
remember this glory is His doxa, so it says we are to be changed from our opinion to his opinion, from our values to his values, and from our judgments to his judgments. So we see
here that as Moses reflected the giver of the law, so we are ordained to
reflect the giver of Life of the Word.
Now, the Apostle Paul tells us in what day this is
going to happen when were shall be changed from image to image and from Glory to
Glory.
He speaks of this in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-12 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
Notice that the apostle Paul tells us
there is coming a time when the revelation of Christ shall begin with His being
revealed or manifested as He comes from heaven with his angels. This picture we
have of the cloud is the picture of what Paul is speaking of the revelation of
Jesus Christ which begins with the Lord Himself descending with his angels.
Notice he says, 8 In flaming
fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: (So this taking vengeance shows it will
be the judge coming to execute judgment against all those who do not know God,
who do not have an experiential relationship with Him, and who do not obey the
Gospel of Jesus Christ.)
And he
tells us their punishment will be to be excluded from His Presence.
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction out from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory (doxa, the opinions, values and
judgments of his word) of his power;
Remember this same Apostle told us in Romans 1:18 that
the Power of God is the Word of God.
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, (endoxazo, en meaning in, doxa
meaning the opinions, values and judgments, and Zoe means life. In that day
when his glory, his doxa will be magnified in their life) and to be admired in all them that believe
(because our testimony among you was
believed) in that day.
11 Wherefore also we pray always
for you, that our God would count you
worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his
goodness, and the work of faith (revelation) with power: 12 That the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ may be glorified
in you, (En-doxa-zoe,
that the doxa of God may be in your life) and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord
Jesus Christ.
Now,
let's read on ... 77 To give
His Word to that generation He veiled Himself in a human being, or the Word would've blinded even the called-out.
So
what does he mean here? What Paul is saying is that if the invisible God would
have spoken audibly to the people and appeared directly to them in the Pillar
of Fire, they would have been so blown away and that they would not have been
able to catch what God wanted to give them. So God cloaked himself in a human
veil, a vessel of flesh, so he could make himself more approachable to them,
more on their own level.
Unveiling of God 77 "See? Even the people that was out there, they could not stand to see that. In Exodus we find that; they said, "Let Moses speak, not God." See why the Pillar of Fire don't appear too much? See? God
said, "I'll
do that; I'll
raise them up a prophet.
(Amen.) I'll raise them up one." And He came just exactly. "I'll
raise...
And He will be the Word." He said, "If they want to see what the Word is," said, "now, Moses, I appeared to you yonder in that burning bush"; said, "I'm going to come down and set that
mountain afire."
Said, "They'll
see that you've told the truth. I'll appear here in the same burning way. I'll
appear here and prove to the people; I'll a-vindicate your
ministry." That's what He told Moses here, so many words.
78 Notice, He said, "Now, I'm going to glorify you before the people." Said, "Now, you told them that I met you out there in a burning bush; now
I'm going to come down, same Fire;
and I'm going to let the people see that
you never lied about It."
You can scientifically prove It even, if you want to. See? "I'm going to come right down and let them
know."And when He
begin to thunder, when Jehovah started thundering, the people said, "No, no. No. Don't let Jehovah speak, we'll
die." See, He had to be veiled. So God veiled Himself in Moses and give Moses the Word. And Moses come down and spoke the Word of the
Lord in a veil over his face. That right? Jehovah veiled in a form of a prophet, 'cause it would've
absolutely... And God said He wouldn't
speak to them anymore like that. He
would only speak to them by a prophet. That's the only way He'd ever speak
from then on. That's the only way He's ever spoke. That's right. Never any
other way. He don't lie.
Now,
this is important for you to understand. God is the Word
and He
veiled HIs Word in Moses. It was not the person of God or the fullness
of the Godhead bodily in Moses, that was reserved for one person, Jesus the
firstborn son. But It was God's Word that was
in Moses. God indwelt fully only one person, and that was Jesus.
Even brother Branham said that he only had it in a measure but Jesus had it
without measure. And Moses had just the measure of the Word for the age in
which he lived. So get out of your mind the idea that God, the fullness of God
was in the prophets. The fullness of God was in just one person, and that was
Jesus Christ the first born son of God. But we can say that God's Word was
veiled in Moses, and since His Words are spirit and they are life we can say
that in Moses was veiled God-life as well.
Notice
what brother Branham says next, 79 Notice, only
Moses had the Word. Now, there
wasn't a group came down; there wasn't just the Pharisees or the
Sadducees; or it wasn't a certain sect
or a clan. It was Moses. He got one man. He can't get two or three
different minds. He takes one man.
Moses had the Word, and Moses alone. Joshua even didn't have It. No one else had It. Amen. Joshua was a
general; Joshua was a commander of the army. Joshua was a believer, a
Christian. But Moses was a prophet.
The Word can't come to Joshua; It's got to come to Moses. He was the
major prophet of the hour. Notice, the Word never
did come to Joshua till Moses was gone. No, sir. God deals with one at a time. God is One.
See, see? Now, only Moses had the Word,
not a group.
And
that is why we have no thought coming. We say what the tapes say and what
the Scriptures say, and then we try best we can to tie them together to
make sure you understand the Message by this Bible. But we have not Message
outside of what God brought to one man, His prophet. And that is our white
throne exoneration, we are saying just what he said, and not adding our own
thinking to it.
80 "Look, God warned any persons not to try to follow Moses into that veil: impersonators. See? Woman, man,
priest, whoever it was, how godly, how...?... how much honor, how much they
was, He warned, "Let Moses come alone. And if any man, even an animal, touches it, must be killed right
there." Never break
before that veil, that veil belongs
to one person.
That message is one. See? In the temple
one man went in once a year, anointed and fixed to go in, not to bring out the
Word, but to offer blood. To even walk in there before It, only one.
Any other man died. See?"
I've
seen ministers rise up in this message who had some kind of dream and in it
brother Branham told them they can change some of the Message. To me that
doesn't line up with the Word. Paul said Galatians 1:6-9 that "if a man
or even an angel from heaven comes and brings anything other than what I have
taught let him be cursed."
And
I showed you a few weeks ago several quotes from Brother Branham where he said he
only taught what Paul taught. So if Paul taught the Parousia of Christ which he
did, and Jesus did, and peter did, and John did and James did, then if William
Branham did not teach that he would be cursed. So he had to teach it, he just
didn't use the Greek word Parousia, He used its English equivalent
"Presence" more than 4,400 times, and other equivalent expressions
like the appearing before the coming etc.
And
brother Branham said in pp 81 "They
spiritually die now. This is the
spiritual veil. See? That was a
natural veil. This is spiritual veil.
See? They keep walking right on in behind there; you can tell them. "Oh, I
know. I know that, but I..." Go ahead; it's all right; it only speaks...
You remember, the last plague in Egypt was death, before the exodus. The last plague on earth is spiritual
death before the exodus. Then they'll be cremated and turned back to
the dust, and the righteous will walk out upon their ashes. But the last
thing is spiritual death, rejecting the Word."
82 "Now, notice, God warned any persons not to try to follow Moses into the veil of Fire.
Moses was to be veiled; he had to come out
of there. Moses went in as Moses,
went into this Pillar of Fire; and when he walked back out, he was veiled,
for he went into there, out of his traditions, the traditions of the elders. He saw the Pillar of Fire, but now he goes into the Pillar of Fire.
See? Amen. And he come forth, veiled:
God's Word in a man, veiled, here he come
walking out. Oh, my, I can see it. Warned nobody else to try it, nobody even
impersonate that. You better not. See? Even a priest or a holy man, whoever it
was, cardinal, bishop, anything else,
tried to go in that veil, died. God warned them. We'll have no impersonations."
Now,
this next statement brother Branham makes is most important for us to
understand. He said, 83 "His Word is revealed to one.
It's always been. A prophet came with
the Word of the Lord, each age, every time, down through the Scripture. The Word comes to one, in every age the
same, even in the church ages from the very first to the last. Others have their places. That's
right. Notice, but stay away from that Pillar of
Fire. See? What a lesson we learn here. See, everybody wanting to be a Moses, and
everybody...
Now,
we know by Scripture that "The Word of the Lord
comes to the prophets," and we know by the book of Amos,
that "God will not do anything until he first reveal
it to his servants the prophets". So
when a minister comes teaching anything that God's prophet didn't bring, he is
venturing without authority.
84 You remember what Dathan and
them said out there? They said, "Now, Moses, wait here just a minute; you
take too much upon yourself. (See?) Now, there's
other men here that God has called."That was true. They,
each one were following fine as long as they went along, but when one tried to step up
and take God's position
that He give Moses, which was predestinated and ordained to that
job, tried to take it, fire come down
and opened up the earth and swallowed them right into it. See, see? Be careful. See? Just be a good,
Godly Christian, believing the Word. See? Stay away from that Pillar. What a
lesson.
85 God had first appeared to Moses in a burning bush; God was veiled in the Pillar of Fire.
Now, listen real close now for a minute. God
first come to Moses; He was veiled. God was in a Pillar of
Fire hid back in a bush (See?), like behind the skins (See?), back by the mercy
seat at the altar. See? He is veiled.
He's always veiled. And when He come to Moses, He was in a Pillar
of Fire, veiled in the
Pillar of Fire. But here
before the people, God vindicated him by the same Pillar of Fire. See?
Moses said...
In
other words, Moses saw that pillar of fire first and then God allowed others to
see it AFTER Moses had seen it first and told the people all about It. Just
like in our day, God came down after meeting with William Branham, then when he
was baptizing on the Ohio River the Pillar of fire came down visibly and many
people saw it. Then He allowed a picture to be taken so all of us could see
it. But remember, that same Pillar of
Fire that vindicated Moses led Israel into the promised land after Moses had
gone off the scene. But not as a visible Pillar of fire, As that he led them up
to the promised land, but after Moses was gone he led them as the Captain of
the host of the Lord. The Angel of the Lord.
86 Now, watch. Are you reading...
Are you letting your minds drift way out? Can you, can... "He that's got ears, let him hear." See? When God appeared to Moses, it was in a Pillar of Fire, when He called
him to his ministry. And Moses come
and told the people about it. They couldn't believe it. Yet he done the miracles and things,
but this time He visibly, scientifically appeared and
vindicated Moses' ministry to be the same God that spoke to him,
'cause He appeared in the form of the
Pillar of Fire and set the mountain on fire. And He come to Moses in a
bush, spoke to him. All right.
87 God's first appearing to Moses in the burning bush veil. Before the
people, God veiled again and vindicated
Moses by the veil, by veiling Himself with the same Fire: same Pillar of
Fire came down. From then, so they could only hear God's Word. You get it? Just the Word, they heard His voice. For Moses was to them the living Word:
Moses. See, God had so proven that Word by Moses... See, Moses said... God said
to Moses, said, "Go down there; I'll be with you; nothing's going to stand
before you. I AM THAT I AM."
Moses come down and said, "You might
not believe this, maybe, but God appeared to me in the Pillar of Fire, and He
told me these things."
"Oh, we have all kind of things like going on," Pharaoh said. Why,
Pastor Pharaoh said, "Well, you got a cheap magician trick. Why, I got
magicians here that can turn a serpent into a stick into a serpent. Come here,
magicians." And they come over there and done the same thing.
88 Moses knowed, no nothing
bothered him. How many impersonators they had, didn't make a bit of
difference, Moses just stood still. The first thing
you know, they crawled around awhile, and directly, Moses' snake just eat the
rest of them up. See? Why? Like them
apostles, they couldn't
explain It. Moses didn't
know how God was going to do it, but He was going to do it. Remember,
He said Jambres
and Jannes will return in the last days (See?) impersonations.
"And
would deceive the very elect if possible," Matthew
24:24. See? Just exactly the same things, do the same
kind of miracles and everything... Watch that Word. Watch that
Word. And a man says he does the miracles, and still wants to
believe there's three gods and there's all these kind, you get away from that. We know that's wrong. There's no
such thing. See? The Word, every
Word,
"every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God"... Genesis, one Word... Over here, said, "Don't
take or add one word."
See, It's got to be that same Word.
See?
89 Notice, the people seen
something that had happened. Moses had been veiled as a... He was a prophet, and God
had vindicated His Word now, went down there. And he seen signs and
wonders. And then, after this, people got separated unto themself, a church.
See, "church" means "called out." See? After they was called out
of the world and became a people (See?), then
God let Hisself be known that He was that Pillar of Fire. He proved
Moses' message. See? He was the Pillar
of Fire. They might've took the picture of It, I guess, if they'd had
cameras, 'cause it was all on Fire. But they proved that, God proving that the message was right. The message was at hand,
everything was; they was going to be exodused then. Veiled His prophet to this exodus people...
90 The people (Think.) seen something
had happened to him. He was now different from the rest of the Israelites. He
was a different... His message was
different; he was different from the priests; he was different from
anything. See, he was a different person.
The people seen something had happened. God
had veiled Himself in His prophet to speak His Words to them. That's
what He had done. Moses was that
living Word to the people, veiled by the Pillar of Fire, speaking what
was to be veiled later behind badger skins. See?
91 The
Word had to come from Moses first. See? Moses had the Word. They were written by God; nobody could
interpret Them; Moses had to
interpret Them first.
That's the reason he veiled his face, 'cause he... Do you see It? See? Here it is. We could pick It, pack It up, and everything
else there, but It's got to be revealed.
In order to reveal, Moses had to become
God to the people. You say, "That's nonsense." Why, He even told
Moses, Hisself, "You'll be God, and Aaron will be your
prophet."
You see? See? So here He come (See?); He
had to veil Himself, 'cause God's
always behind a veil. Oh, my. Do you see It? God's hid from the public. Said, "Father,
I thank You, You've hid It from the wise and prudent and revealed It to babes,
them that wants to learn."
See?
92 God hid behind the veil...
Moses veiled his face. Moses was the
living Word veiled then. The
people saw that Pillar of Fire, said, "Now, we're satisfied. (See?) Let
Moses speak.
(See?) Don't let God speak, lest we die." Moses walked
right into that Pillar of Fire. See? And said now, He said, "Now, I
won't speak to them no more like this; I'll give them a prophet." See, that's the way He always
did it. See? Said, "Now,
let them..."
But this prophet has to have His Word.
If he's veiled with a tradition, God
never sent him. If he's veiled
with the Word, God will vindicate It. God interprets
His own Word. Moses spoke them; God
interpreted Them. Amen. Moses said, "The
Lord said so."
And the Lord did just what He said.
That made it right.
93 Now, He said, "Now, Moses, you understand, the people
understands now.
(See?) I have showed you; I've vindicated you." God had veiled Himself in this prophet to speak His Word to the people. Moses was
the living God to them, the living Word of God made manifest. That's the reason
his face was veiled. See? And do you know the same thing in a
genuine Christian is veiled today to unbelievers? They see them
women with long hair and things; they say, "Look at that old model."
Women twist their hair up on the back. Say, "Got a flat tire, spare
tire." See, It's all veiled. They're
blind. "Well," they say, "I got a Ph. D, L..." I don't care what you got; you're still
ignorant of the Word. Exactly right. "Oh, that's just something
minor. I..." Take the small lessons first.
94 How about the people who
say that they are veiled in the Presence of God and preach some
church tradition (Oh, mercy, goodness.) which adds to and takes
from, and everything else, like injecting their own
subjects and their own thoughts, and not the Word of God? See? What kind of a veil? That's got an ecclesiastical veil. God
tore that veil wide open. They say, "There is no such a thing as prophets.
There is no such a thing in these last days as apostles and prophets. There is
no such a thing as Divine healing. There is no such a thing as seers anymore.
There is no such a thing as Mark
16 being fulfilled.
Apostolic age is done." They veiled It from the people, but God walked
right out with His Holy Spirit of fire and rent that thing from the top to the
bottom. God has rent the veil.
95 Moses
was the veil, the living Word of God veiled behind human flesh. The Pillar of Fire was in Moses,
of course, speaking what was to be veiled later behind skins. You see? Now,
that, the Word, the Word was brought forth; then It was written out; then It
was put behind and still veiled; for
God was always in that Word. Amen. He's the Word always. He was in
that Word. That's the reason that Word
had to be veiled.
96 Oh, brother, sister, are you catching it? Look. Don't you
see? It's been veiled through these ages according to what God said, and It
would be opened in the last days; those
seven seals would be broke, and the full thing would come into view of the
people, what's took place all along. The hour of the seventh angel's message, all the mysteries of God
should be made known in that Elijah, in this last hour: how that Christ is
put out of His church as Son of God; how He's
revealed as Son of man again; how
that the church is to be put in order, and everything for the last day, and no
creed, no denominations, just absolutely the Word living in the individual.
"I'll take one and leave
one. I'll take this one and leave that one." See? It's just... There's no strings, no denominations,
no bindings or nothing; it's the
heart with God and Him alone. See?
97 Notice, veiled in a human flesh, Moses
with that Word, speaking what was to be later put behind badger skin.
So that... So is Christ our Moses. Christ is our Moses. He was God veiled in human flesh, veiled in
humanity, in flesh. That's right. And He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. He was veiled by badger skins. He
was veiled. And this time He was veiled
in a man. See? Now, notice, "same yesterday, today, and forever," promised Word to this age.
He's still Christ, the promised Word to
this age, veiled in human flesh. The Word is God.
Now,
I think I am going to leave off here this morning , because the next paragraph
brother Branham begins to turn a corner and we don't want to start that and
then stop short. So we will come back this evening at 4 pm for communion
service and pick up where we are leaving of right here.
