Unveiling of God no 26

The antidote to the garden - curse

June 3, 2018 evening

Brian Kocourek, Pastor

This morning we closed with reading paragraph 50 of The Unveiling of God and the reason we did not g into it is because this was a new thought brother Branham brought out, and I wanted to save it for a specific sermon itself.

pp. 50 "He had to come into human flesh, to... And nobody, no sexual desire... Because that proves again our statement of the serpent's seed (See?): sexual, absolutely sex, not apples, but sex. That's right. That had to be. Notice here (See?), for any good man... Look at those prophets back there, but He had to be more than a prophet. See? In order to do that He had to come virgin birth, showing that virgin birth proved... He had to be born virgin birth to take the curse off: the Antidote. See what I mean? So it had to be sex; He proved it in His own coming. He come not in sexual desire, but through virgin birth. And He changed His mask from Jehovah to Jesus in order to take the redemptive work in the drama that He's acting out in God at the cross.

This thought here coming from God's prophet is a wonderful statement and I want to look into what he said here for the next 30 or 40 minutes.

He says of Jesus, He had to come into human flesh. And nobody was involved, no man no woman. It was God doing it all. And then he adds, there was No sexual desire, and the fact there was no sexual desire he said, that proves again our statement of the serpent's seed. (See?): sexual, absolutely sex, not apples, but sex. That's right. That had to be.... See? In order to do that He had to come virgin birth, showing that virgin birth proved... He had to be born virgin birth to take the curse off: the Antidote. See what I mean?

Notice, he said that was the antidote to what took place in the garden. wow. what a picture, what an antidote. See what I mean? So it had to be sex; He proved it in His own coming. He come not in sexual desire, but through virgin birth.

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

Now, we know that sin is unbelief for, For Jesus told us Himself in John 16:9 that they sin because they believe not, and William Branham taught us that smoking and drinking is not sin, but attributes of unbelief. He said they do those things because they do not believe.

Therefore John continues on this thought that sin is from the devil, and says,) For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

And the works of the devil got their foothold on man in the garden of Eden when the Serpent impregnated the woman, and brought forth a hybrid life. And so we want to look at this thought of Br. Branham's where he lays out for us this curse that was placed on man in the garden for their disobedience in participating in the sex act, and how the virgin birth was the antidote to that curse.

And this thought is perfectly scriptural because John tells us here in 1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. So we see where the sin came in, and in John 16:9 For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

So we see that the Son of God coming, His first coming by virgin birth was the antidote to the curse of sin.

Now, before we go any further, we should look at this statement, because it is of utmost importance to us. He said, For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Now, this statement tells us that the reason the Son of God became manifested to us is for the purpose of destroying the works of the devil. So we must ask ourselves what works? What are the devil’s works?

Now the word “works” here is translated from the Greek word “Ergon” which speaks of the deeds, or employment of the individual. It is the very same word that Jesus uses in John 14:12 when he refers to us doing the very same works that he did.

We also know that the works that are done by the hand are only an expression of what we have in our mind.

In the book of Revelation 13:16 we read "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

And again in  Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Now, we know that those who are left behind at the catching away are those who did not have the Holy Spirit and so they will be left behind and will be hunted down like dogs. And notice the Scripture tells us they did not worship the beast, neither his image, and they never took the mark of the beast, so they are the ones that are slein.

Remember concerning the mark of the beast, the mark is in the hand. not on the hand, but in the hand  which signifies it is in the actions of those people. It is the works of the hand, and the mark in the forehead are the thoughts that are in their mind.

Therefore we find that Jesus purpose for  manifestation or coming via the virgin birth was to destroy those works of the devil that were placed into the DNA of men by the curse in the garden which was when sons of God brought forth a hybrid life through the mating of Eve to the Serpent.

Now, knowing the word “works” speaks of the expression of the mind through the actions of the hands, or the actions of the individual, we must ask ourselves what are these works of the devil ?

To understand what these works of the devil are we have only to go to Scripture and see what the Word of God Itself says they are.

I John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; (the word commit means to initiate, therefore Whosoever is born of God doth not initiate sin…In other words, you don’t go looking for it. ) for His seed (that’s God’s Seed) remaineth in him: and he cannot sin (and remember sin is unbelief, therefore when you have the Holy Ghost you cannot disbelieve), because He is born of God. 10  In this (in what? In this ability to believe or disbelieve are) the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not right-wise-ness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Now, we are getting down to the meat of what John is telling us here.

Notice in the next verse what John says. 11  ¶ For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one,

Notice, John is telling us that Cain was not from Adam, because Adam was a Son of God. So who is that wicked one? It is the devil himself, and notice that if every seed must bring forth after its own kind or nature according to Genesis 1:11, then John immediately tells us the attributes that clarified who Cain’s father was. He says,) and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

So now we are getting down to business. Now, we are getting somewhere. So what then were the evil works that Cain did?

Notice he tells us that Cain slain his brother BECAUSE his works were evil. It does not say the slaying was the evil work although it is evil to do so, but it says he did so because his works were evil. He is telling us here that the slaying was a result of the evil works. So what were these evil works of Cain that led up to his slaughtering of his brother?

Well, to find our answer we must first know what God considers to be the works of God. Because if we know what the works of God are then we will know what is not the works of God and rather are the works of the devil.

In John 6:27 Jesus says, "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. 28  ¶ Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom He (God) hath sent.

Now, if the works of God are to believe on Him whom God sends, then the evil works of the devil is to get the people to disbelieve the one God sends. as brother Branham said, "if the spoken word virgin birth was the antidote for the sexual birth, then It’s just that simple, that the antidote for the beast nature if for the very nature of the son of God to take over your vessel.

Paul tells us in the Book of Hebrews chapter 11 and verse 4 that Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than that of Cain.

Now, God did not say in His word that Cain’s sacrifice was not excellent, but rather He said that Abel’s sacrifice was More excellent. And if Abel’s sacrifice was more excellent, then Cain’s had to be excellent also.

Now, the scripture teaches us "as a man thinketh in his heart so is he, and out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." Therefore the works of both Cain and Abel was a reflection of what was in their heart by revelation. Cain offered an excellent sacrifice and yet it was not accepted by God. It was a correct sacrifice, and it was a Biblical sacrifice because it was the sacrifice of the first fruits. It was the sacrifice of the harvest as we see in Deuteronomy 26.

Deuteronomy 26:1  And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein; 2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there. 3 And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us. 4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.

Now notice, that is exactly what Cain did. He took his offering which was a reflection of his revelation and presented it to the Lord in exactly the way that God's Word calls for in Deuteronomy 26?  So what was wrong with his Sacrifice? Why did not God accept it when he accepted the sacrifice of Abel his brother? Was God showing favoritism? I don't think So, because God is not a respecter of persons. And yet His brother Abel went to God with the Lamb as an atonement and God accepted his sacrifice which was a reflection of His Revelation.

Genesis 4:3  And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.  Now, is that not what we just read in Deuteronomy 26?

2 There thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.

But God rejected his sacrifice, thus his revelation. And you must ask yourself why? Why if he did what the scripture tells him to do, why did God reject it?

Now, let's read about Abel and his sacrifice and thus his revelation.

And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: 5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Now, the Hebrew word for wroth is a word that expresses not only anger but anger fueled by jealousy. He was passionately angry with God for rejecting his and accepting his brothers, and that anger ran over into a jealousy he took out on his brother.

Now, here is the thing I want you to see. Both men offered to God a Scriptural sacrifice, showing they both had a revelation concerning a portion of God's Word. Both made sacrifice, which showed both were willing to submit what they had to God. But Cain's efforts, and revelation was rejected while Abel's efforts and revelation was accepted as a righteous or rightly wise act.

Now, I want you to think about what took place here. Most people just read the Word of God without thinking it is the words of God. We should never read our Bible like it just a story, nor should we read it as we would do any other book. But we should read God's Word because we want to know the mind of God, his thoughts, and to find the Will of God for our own lives.

Genesis 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

The Word countenance means the expression of the face, and Cain was definitely showing his anger by the expression on his face.

Now, notice what God tells him.  If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin (unbelief) lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Now, God did not yell and scream at him, according to the Septuagint God simply said, "you did rightly offer but you did not rightly divide." In other words you rightly offered because that is what my word calls for, but you did not rightly divide, and that is because

your offering was out of season.

You see, many times people think that they are alright with God because they see something in his word and they go do it. But Br. Branham told us there are three things we must always consider when approaching Gods Word.

Christ revealed in His own Word 65-0822M P:53 Now, in order to study the Scripture... Paul told Timothy, "Study It, rightly dividing the Word of God which is Truth." Then there's three musts in the Scripture. In using God's Word there is three things that you must not do. Now, let's study those for the next ten minutes: Three things that you must not do... And all out in the land wherever you are across the nation, be sure to put these down in your mind if you haven't got a pencil. You must not do these things. We tell you all the time how you must do; now, I'm going to tell you what you must not do. Now, you must not misinterpret the Word. You say, "Well, I believe It means this." It means just what it says. It needs no interpreter. And you must not misplace the Word. And you must not dislocate the Word. And if we would do either of these, it throws the whole Bible in a confusion and in a chaos.

So what do these three things mean? He said we must not mi-interpret the Word of God, it means just what it says. So if Jesus said "the works that I do shall you do also" he means just that and it is not up to you to interpret that any other way than what he said. As brother Branham said, "say what is on the tapes and only what is on the tapes." And Jesus said to add one word you get the plagues and to take one word away you lose your name in the book of life.

The next thing brother Branham said was we must not misplace the Word. That simply means to put in the wrong place. Like building a foundation, the apostle Paul said, 1 Corinthians 3:1  And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2  I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3  For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?  4  For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye  not carnal? 5  Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6  I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.  So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.  Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9  For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 10   According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

You see, you have to rightly divide. You can't lay 6 inch bricks on top of 3 inch bricks. And you can't continue a run of 3 inch bricks and turn the bricks sideways. Look to the pattern and step in line with the pattern that has already been laid down. He says, But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

So if the foundation that has been laid is Jesus Christ and you come along preaching about some other man, whether that man be William Branham or Lee Vayle or any other servant of God, you are mis-locating what the Message is all about.  That means what you are saying is not in context with what has already been delivered to the saints.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13  Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14  If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15  If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

So you might be able to fool those who are of the same persuasion as you, but you will never fool God nor His Elect who build only upon that one foundation that Paul laid out for us to build, and that is Jesus Christ.

The third must not that brother Branham warned us about is to dis-locate the word.

To mis-locate the word you misplace it, but to dislocate the word is to put it in some other perspective than it was meant to be placed in.

That is exactly what Paul was speaking of when he said we must "rightly divide the word". And that is why God scolded Cain for not rightly dividing the Word. Cain offered to God a harvest season offering, but there cannot come a harvest of sons until they come under the shed blood of an innocent one. We will get into that in a few minutes.

Christ revealed in His own Word 65-0822M P:65 These three musts, must be: Must not misinterpret or mishandle It, misinterpret or dislocate It. It must be kept just exactly the way God said It was. To the world It's a Book of mystery. The people believe It's just a mysterious Book. One time I was talking to a very famous man here in the city, that holds a great standing of Christianity, and he said, "I tried to read the Book of Revelations one night." Said, "John must've had a big bait of hot pepper and had a nightmare." See, a Book of mystery, but while to the true believer, It's the revelation of God being revealed in the age we're living in.

Christ revealed in His own Word 65-0822M P:60 Notice. Oh, these three musts, must be. Now, you cannot... Jesus didn't come preaching Noah's message. He didn't come preaching Moses' message, or Moses didn't come preaching... See, don't mislocate the Scripture. It's got to be in the time.

And that is exactly what Cain did, he took a harvest time offering and applied it in the wrong season. The Bible says in Hebrews 9:22 "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin." and Abel knew they had been ousted from the garden because of sin, so he offered an atonement for his sin. But Cain thought he could jump right into the rapture without first being made ready to go into God's presence as a holy blood washed son.

And then instead of taking God's correction he went to talk to his brother, and I am sure the discussion got onto the fact that God accepted Abel's sacrifice and thus his revelation and refused Cain's.

Now, God did not say to Cain "if you do what is right won't you will be accepted?" just for something to say to a sour puss Cain. He said it as words of correction. He told him he rightly offered but he did not rightly divide, and you would have thought Cain would have said, ok Lord, please give me another opportunity to not only offer right, but to rightly divide as well.

But I'm sure Cain had no idea what God was talking about, so instead of stopping like Mary did, and asking God to explain it in a way that he might understand what he meant. What did Cain do? He went off in anger not listening to God and headed straight for his brother and took out his anger on him.

8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Now, what do you suppose they talked about? I am sure it was why Abel's sacrifice was accepted and his was not. And I am sure that Abel told him that the sin was that Eve was seduced and bore Cain as a result of that seduction and this further angered Cain and that is when he slain his brother.

And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? (Now, look at Cains sarcastic remark to God.)  And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? 10  And God said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.  11  And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; 12  When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. 13  And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.  14  Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. 15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. 16  And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

We can see why God accepted Abel's sacrifice (a reflection of his revelation), and he did not accept Cain's? They were both Scriptural, but Cain's was out of season.

And without atonement, how dare we try to enter into the presence of God.

So you see, Cain’s sacrifice was a “first fruit offering,” and that speaks of a resurrection offering, but how could you look to the resurrection without forgiveness and atonement for your sin first?

In fact if you will notice Cain was looking for resurrection without atonement. In Genesis 4:17 we see that Cain named his first born son Enoch.  He knew that Enoch was the name of the one who would be raptured, and He offered a resurrection sacrifice which is the first fruit sacrifice. But without the shedding of blood there's no remission of sin. So we see the evil works of Cain that led to his slaying of Abel is that His revelation was out of season. And when God did not have respect for his sacrifice which was his revelation manifested, he got angry instead of repenting.

Genesis 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he (God) had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. 6 ¶ And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7 If thou doest well,(if thou doest that which is right) shalt thou not be accepted?

Now why was it important for God to tell Him, if thou doest that which is right? Because God’s Word tells us He that doeth righteousness is righteous.

In other words, he that doeth what is right is right, and he that doeth what is right shows that he is rightly wise.

In other words, if Cain did what was right then it would have shown that he was righteous, or rightly wise. But there was error in what he did, because it was out of season. But God also told him,) and if thou doest not well, (if you do not do what is right, then) sin (or unbelief) lieth at the door.

Why, because "if you know to do right and you do not do it, it is iniquity". And the Lord continued, "And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him."

Now notice what took place next. After God gives correction to Cain for his unbelief, he goes to talk with his brother. 8 ¶ And Cain talked with Abel his brother:

Now, notice this word talked comes from a Hebrew word which means to boast. After being rejected by God and told that he offered a right Word but he did not divide that word correctly He goes and brags to his brother  about havving offered a right word...but then Abel must have reminded him that if what you offered was right then why was it rejected? And it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Now, notice it was something that was said in that conversation that caused Cain to become so angry with Abel that he slew His brother. And that brings us back to 1 John 3 again.

I John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; that means "Whosoever is born of God doth not initiate sin", for his seed (God’s Seed) remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10  In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not right- wise -ness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Now, we are getting down to the meat of what John is telling us here. Notice in the next verse what John says. 11    For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one,

Notice, John is telling us that Cain was not from Adam, because Adam was a Son of God. So who is that wicked one? It is the devil himself, and notice that if every seed must bring forth after its own kind or nature according to Genesis 1:11, then John immediately tells us the attributes that identified who Cain’s father was. He says,) and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

Now, in getting back to I John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Therefore we have seen so far that the works of the devil is to keep us from the Truth or from the True Revelation of Christ.

In Matthew  23:13 Jesus called them, ¶ hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

And in Matthew 23:5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. 8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

And By His manifesting Himself through His Son, God interpreted His Own Word concerning Himself to us. For God interprets His Own Word by bringing it to pass.

Now, we know that Jesus came and manifested Himself to us to destroy the works of the devil, and if the works of God is to believe him whom God has sent, then the works of the devil is to prevent us from believing him whom God has sent.

Now, we had read earlier from the apostle Paul in I Corinthians 3:11 in reference to not mis-locating, dislocating or misinterpreting the Word of God. As Paul said,    For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

Now, what does it mean the day shall declare a man’s works? Well, if the works is to believe on him whom God has sent, then the works of the day is to believe the one that is sent for your day.  But if the devil’s work is to get you to not believe that one for the day in which you live, then 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it. In other words, the day will declare whether you believe the one sent in your day or not, and every man’s work which is his doctrine will testify whether he truly believes that one or not.

Now, I know that there are nearly a couple million people in this world that claim they believe the One that God sent for this hour, but it is very evident that they don’t because they deny the doctrine he taught us. And let’s face it, Christ was manifested to destroy the works of the devil, and that means that Christ, was manifested to make known to us the Revelation of Jesus Christ, which is the doctrine of Christ. And thus the manifestation of Christ in this hour to the true believer will bring that true believer to an understanding of the Godhead, and the Revelation of Jesus Christ and the role of sons.

It will not point us to the Bride. It will not focus the pre-eminence upon a Bride, it will not focus the attention on a prophet nor on a five-fold ministry, but will simply point to the manifestation of Christ's presence among us to get us ready to go meet him, and will bring it back to the doctrine of Christ as John taught, and Paul taught, and as William Branham taught in this hour.  There is one God and He had a Son.

You see, Paul tells us in Galatians 2:16 "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ", (and since Br. Branham taught us that Faith is a Revelation, then Paul is speaking of the Revelation of Christ here. ) Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the Revelation of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the (Revelation) of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

So we see the works of God is to believe the one that He sends, and the works of the devil is to get your mind focused on other works so you do not believe the one that God sends.

So we see in Galatians 3:10  (Paul tells us)  For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

So then you either believe the one God sends whom God has used and vindicated or you go to works. And not the works of God because that is simply to believe, but the works of the devil is to distract you from believing the one that God sends, and he does that by his own works campaign which is always out of season.

Brother Branham said, "man is always looking forward and always looking backwards, and failing to see what God is doing today."

In Isaiah 28:9 we read, Who is it he is trying to teach? To whom is he explaining his message? To children weaned from their milk, to those just taken from the breast? 10 For with them it is: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there." 11 Very well then, with foreign lips and strange language (perhaps  Kentucky mountain language?) God will speak to this people, 12 to whom he said, "This is the resting place, let the weary rest"; and, "This is the place of repose"-- but they would not listen. 13 So then, the word of the LORD to them will become: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there-- so that they will go and fall backward, be injured and snared and captured.

Notice we are told that because they will not rest in the Word, the word becomes unto them rules and regulation taught by the precepts of man, and they will go into works programs instead of believing the teaching which is the doctrine of the one God sends. And because they do not walk in the spirit, they will walk after the flesh, and their works programs will only lead them to manifest the works of the flesh.

And again in Galatians 5:18  But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Now, brother Branham taught us that the works of the flesh only come after we have first thought them in our minds. And the Apostle Paul tells us the same thing.

Colossians 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled  22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Notice Paul tells us we had become alienate to Christ by the works in our minds. Those are the same works that the devil would have you to do, and that is simply to not focus on the teaching of the one that God sends. Because if you do not focus on the one that God sent, then you will focus on yourself. And that will thus bring the works of the mind into manifestation and into the works of the flesh manifested.

I have warned the people here locally for years that this Word that God has given us is a Light that will bring into manifestation what is really in your heart. And I've warned the brethren all over the world that the more light they come to the more the seed in them will manifest what it really is. And that is what Paul warned us of in Ephesians 5:13 that "what makes manifest is light."

In the Epistle of Titus 1:16 Paul said,  They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Therefore what are the good works? They are the works of God which is to believe on Him whom God has sent. But notice these become disobedient children. Why? Because they are manifesting themselves as the children of Disobedience. Children produced by the disobedient act of eve with the Serpent.

And this same Apostle Paul said, II Corinthians 11:13 "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

Notice he said, they are deceitful workers, and whose end shall be according to their works. And what are their works? They will not believe him whom God has sent. But they will use his words to focus on self. They will preach Bride, Bride, Bride, and all the while they will refuse the one that Bought them.

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

"For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil" which works are to keep you from believing him whom God has sent.

And how does the devil do that? By getting you to focus on self, or on something other than Jesus Christ.

I can’t imagine anyone called to preach the gospel who would not focus their teaching on  Jesus Christ? That lick of fire that brother Branham saw over the head of Br,. Vayle is called the testimony of Jesus Christ in the book of Revelations, and that is what every person who received that lick of fire on the day of Pentecost received, the testimony of Jesus Christ. An if you have the holy Ghost then you have the testimony of Jesus Christ, and "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil".

Let us pray...
