The Exodus Experience

Shekina - Reflection

June 24, 2018

Brian Kocourek, pastor

Exodus 19:17  And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount. 18  And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. 19  And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. 20  And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. 21  And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.  22  And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them. 23  And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it. 24  And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them. 25  So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.

The Unveiling of God pp. 68   In type, Moses coming from the Presence of God with the Word of God for that age... Now, watch, we're now in Exodus 19. Don't miss this now. Exodus 19, Moses is coming from the Presence of God, or 20 and 21, 19:20 and 21. Moses is coming from the Presence of God; he has been into the Word. The Word's been wrote, and he in the Presence of God with the Word, he had the Word for that age. There's a Word for each age. And Moses coming forth, his face shined so. See? The Word was in him, ready to be manifested, give out to the people. The true Word, God had wrote It and It was with Moses. Notice It was with Moses and was ready to be manifested. He was the Word to them; he was the living Word hid, veiled himself; Moses had to put a veil over his own face. Why? He was that Word. Amen. Until that Word was made known, Moses had to veil himself. Amen. Do you see It? Wherever the Word is, It's veiled.

Exodus 35:27  And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. 28  And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.  29  And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. 30  And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him. 31  And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them. 32  And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai. 33  And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face. 34  But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded. 35  And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

Moses went into the Light and the light went into Moses. The people could not see the pillar of fire except by looking at Moses. The Light shown from Moses and the people couldn't take it.

69 Moses had the Word. Now remember, after the Word was made manifest, Moses was Moses again. See? But while that Word was in him to be give out, he was God. For he wasn't Moses no more; he had the Word of the Lord for that age. Nothing could touch him till that was over, had that Word with him. So therefore, when he come, the people turned their heads; they couldn't understand. He'd been changed; he was a different fellow. He come with that Word. And he put a veil, the Bible said, over his face, for he had the Word. And he was the Word to them.

Now, Paul explains this to us in 2 Corinthians 3 and all the way to chapter 4 and verse 7, so let's begin reading for ourselves.

2 Corinthians 3:1  Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?  Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

In other words, Paul says, we don't need letters of recommendation as the world uses in order to build our ministry. I have you as written epistles that men can read your life and see that you are full of the Spirit of God and so tied to God's Word and yet not fanatical about it, but steady and mature Christians.

And then he adds, 3  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Notice Paul says you through the manifestation of your lives, actually declare what we preach. And yet you as written epistles, it is no because we wrote the epistle with ink, but what actually has taken place it that God has anointed my ministry to take a-hold of His Spirit and has allowed me to etch it into your hearts the Word of God until the very Life that is in the Word has actually began to manifest Itself through your vessels, your flesh until the people when they see you they see Christ.

4  And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: and then he adds, 5  Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

In other words, he says, look, I may have been the vessel God used to write his life into your life, but it is not about me, it's about Him and what He is doing in you. I am just a tool in his hands.

Because it is God 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

And then Paul goes back to Moses again, and his coming down glowing with the shekinah presence and says,

But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:  How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? Be in a greater measure Glorious.

In other words, If the ministration under the law was a glorious thing that the very Light of God's Shekinah presence stayed upon Moses face when he came down from God's presence with the law. How much greater shall the glory be, the opinions, values, and judgments of God will be when it is the Spirit Himself who brings forth His Glory, His Doxa.

9  For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed (super abound) in glory.

In other words, there is no comparison how much more the glory of God, the doxa of God shall abound.

10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. 11  For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

Now, Paul goes to great lengths to tell the Jews who through tradition had made the ministration of Moses such a great glory, but he takes several verse to tells us that the glory of God that shown in Moses will be nothing compared to the Glory of God that will manifest through when the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Him comes.

12  Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:  13  And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: 14  But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.

Now what he is telling us is that as Moses used a veil to hide the glory of God from the people, they now use their own mind to veil them from the Greater glory of God.

So what difference does it make if they put a veil over Moses face or they place a veil over their own eyes. Blind is blind. And the people he says actually blinded themselves to the Word of God, the glory of God, his doxa. And it says they were blind in their minds as we see in  verse 14 But their minds were blinded:

15  But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.Which is their understanding.

Notice he says it's still going on in this very hour. Moses was vindicated by God and they still don't believe it. Jesus said for what good work do you stone me, and they said not for the good works, not for the vindication of God but for what you teach, we don't like your teaching, we don't like your doctrine.

16  Nevertheless when it (the heart, the understanding) shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. So there had to come a ministry to turn the hearts of the children, and we see that God would send such a ministry according to Malachi 4.

Malachi 4:4  Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 5  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6  And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart (the understanding) of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Now, back to 2 Corinthians 3:17  "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18  But we all, with open face (nothing between us and the word of God) beholding as in a glass (a mirror of the Word we see) the glory (we behold the doxa, the opinions, values and judgments) of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Now, Paul was telling us that this light that had reflected from Moses, if the people had just stood still long enough in the presence of that light which was a reflection of God's Glory, His Shekinah Presence, they would have begun to reflect that same light, that same glory.

And Paul tells us here that the light is the Glory, it is the Doxa of God, it is God's opinions, God's values, and God's judgments, and if the people had just laid in That Presence long enough they would have begun to reflect that very same glory. And he tells us under the ministration of The Spirit we will begin to reflect the very same light, the very same glory. And we will be changed by that glory, by that same doxa, that same opinions, values and judgments. And by laying in the presence of that Word of God, we will receive a change to the place that we will be conformed to the image of the first born son.

We see the same principle he wrote in Romans 12:1-3  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Paul is telling us here that we receive our transformation by first receiving a renewing of the mind. From Glory to glory, from opinion to opinion, from values to His values, and so on. And then he tells us when this begins to take place don't get puffed up about it.

3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith Revelation.

Because if it is by revelation, then it is not by what you have done but by what God has revealed to you.

Now, this changing from glory to glory is from doxa to doxa. From our opinions to God's opinions, from our values to God's values, from our judgments to God's judgments. And he says that will bring us into the same Image.

So how can you manifest as a son of God without his doxa? How you going to be conformed to his image without his doxa? You can't do it.

And this is the hour that we are to come into His glory, by His Word. And He is here to do it. We've tried brothers and sisters and we can't do it, but God promised that he would work in us to will and to do, so let him.

If the people had just stayed there without complaining, and just looked upon the face of Moses, they would have begun to reflect that same shekinah glory from His Shekinah Presence.

God's only provided place of worship 65-1128M P:20 I believe the church is begin to hear the message, and beginning to understand. But, friends, listen, we've got to lay in the Presence of the Son; we've got to be ripened. Our faith isn't ripe. Intellectually we're hearing the message that God has give us, and seeing the signs that He showed us, and proving it by the Bible as that; but, oh, how the church needs to lay in His Presence till it tenders up, you know, and gets sweet in the Spirit so that it can bathe down. Sometimes in speaking the message, you get harsh, have to break it in like that, because you've got to clinch a nail to make it hold. But when the church once gets it, the Elected is called out and separated then in the Presence of God, I know it'll be something like the people was there when it takes its rapture.

Now, notice brother Branham is telling the church only one month before he is taken off the scene, that the church is only now just coming to the place that they can intellectually see and understand the message and take it to the bible. But he says, that is not where God wants us. God wants us to just lay in that Word, and become sweet in our spirit and then just bathe down in that word.

But he says, that can never happen while you are tied in with a bunch of unbelievers and make believers. He says, when the church once gets it, the Elected is called out and separated then in the Presence of God. So there must come a separation from all unbelief as we enter into his presence the separation begins. And we saw that in this Message in 1977 a great separation begin to take place because of the Presence, the Parousia of Christ. But then he says we must lay in that presence to ripen, and people have not been content to do that. Many have organized around this doctrine or that doctrine instead of just focusing on Christ.

Then in 1984 we began to see another separation take place around the Godhead. And again instead of just laying in the doctrine of Christ and focusing on Him men began to focus on the doctrine as an instrument or war instead of a view of His presence.

Now, the thing of it is, is that we are not supposed to fuss with those who separate from us, we are supposed to just focus on the presence of the son. To become like him. Just focus on the light, and not on the separation.

If those people would have just stood there in Moses presence they would have begun to reflect what he was reflecting.

You think Moses went into God's presence and had his mind on other things? No! When he went into the presence of God that's all he had on his mind. And that is supposed to be the same with us.

The Apostle Paul told us in Romans 12 told us that our transformation would come by the renewing of our mind, but then he warned us not to get puffed up. Now, he warned us for a reason.

The fusses over the Parousia Presence and Godhead had to come, but woe to us if we are the ones who are fussing. That only means you have taken your eyes off the one we are commanded to lay in His presence. You can't fuss with people you are not aware they are there. And if you are entirely focused on Christ, you are as the song goes, "shut in with God in a secret place, there in the spirit beholding his face, gaining new power to run in the race, I love to be shut in with God."

Blushing prophet 56-1125E P:9 A man cannot lay in the Presence of God, a church cannot stay in the Presence of God under repentance unless the Holy Spirit comes down and gives unction and power to start a move of God in there among those people.

"shut in with God in a secret place, there in the spirit beholding his face, gaining new power to run in the race, I love to be shut in with God."

God's only provided place of worship 65-1128M P:118 Now, church, we're teaching now. But, remember, when you leave here, start moving out of the shuck now; you're going into the grain; but lay in the Presence of the Son. Don't add what I've said, don't take away what I've said. Because, I speak the Truth as far as I know It, as the Father has given to me. See? Don't add to It; just say what I said. The thing of it is, just tell the people to come seek the Lord Jesus. And then you yourself lay right in His Presence; just make love to Him, "O Lord Jesus, Son of God, I love You. Tender my heart, Lord. Take away all the filth and the love of the world, and let me live holy in this present world before You."

Things that are to be 65-1205 P:65 Now, remember, in every reformation we've had on all those Lutherans and so forth, in three years they organized. That's right. Every revival brought a organization in three years. Think how long this has been going on: twenty something years and no organizations. Why? It's the seed coming, forming under the husk like this. Laying out now, it's got to lay in the presence of the sun to ripen into the glorious grain like the One that went into the first.

Modern events made clear by prophecy 65-1206 P:18 But what's the matter with the wheat now, you can't... It must lay in the Presence of the Son to ripen before the combine picks it up.

Trying to do God a service 65-1127B P:112 the shuck's pulling away, no cooperation, no nothing with it. See? Always it pulls away from it. There can't be no more, it's a wheat now. But we're plenty green. Uh-huh. That's right. Have to lay in the Presence of the Son to be mellowed up; that's all of it. Plenty green; we haven't got the sincerity, the sacredness, the thing we ought to have in our midst to know that the Spirit of the living God, moving in His Word and showing us the things yet.

Trying to do God a service 65-1127B P:111 Rejected, just like the shuck will pull... First he'll be accepted, because the shuck only holds the wheat until it's able to get forth to the sun. Pentecost will only sheltered the message, giving it an open door until it gets scattered, and then the shuck will pull away, and the wheat will lay in the Presence of the Son (See?), to ripen.

Invisible union of the bride 65-1125 P:138 And they're beginning to see it and pull away, hundreds and hundreds of them. Won't take many, Lord. And when the last member is received into the Body, Christ will come. Lord God, I'm asking the Bride tonight, the ones that I feel has pulled away and waiting; may they separate themselves from everything of the world. They must lay in the presence of the warm sunlight of the Son of God, bathing in His Word and His love. Grant it, dear God.

Christ revealed in His own Word 65-0822M P:64 The thing that's the matter with the message today is, those who obtain it in their hearts must lay in the presence of the Son to get ripened. See? You can pick up the message, and then let the Son bake all the greenness out of you (See?), make you matured Christians. You see what I mean? God's coming soon to receive His church, and we must have that type of Christians for Him to receive. The--the wheat's got to get ripe. All right.

Man running from presence 65-0217 P:21 I believe we have Truth. I'm satisfied with that. And I believe the wheat is absolutely, the shucks pulling away from it. You know? And to see... I may give a little prelude on that tomorrow night (See?), how the shuck's pulling away from the wheat. But the wheat has to lay in the presence of the sun to ripen. And that's what we're here for, friends. Stay in the Presence of the Son till our little group of people here, till it becomes so ripe to Christ, that it becomes bread on His table.

Trying to do God a service 65-1127B P:148 God, at this little altar of every heart present here and around the nation, may the waters from under the altar of God gush out this morning upon Your church; and water it, Lord, for the season's just about finished. Give it Life, the Waters of Life, that it might be able to lay in the Presence of the Son to be ripened for Your great garner. Father, I pray for them. But the stalk must dry, so I cannot pray for it; it must die, so is it dead. But I pray for the wheat, Lord, that's forming into the Body of Christ. Grant, Lord, that the fresh waters of God will keep Its cheeks bathed with tears of joy and understanding until the combine comes to take it home. In Jesus' Name, I commit it all to You, Lord; the results is Yours. Amen.

Invisible union of the bride 65-1125 P:79 Lay in the presence of the sun to be ripened. That's exactly. The Word to be ripened into your heart to bring forth and live what we're talking about. Yes, sir. Then you'll have no more doubts, if you let the Holy Spirit reveal it to you like the queen said about Daniel.

Man running from presence 65-0217 P:1 Dear God, we pray that You'll open back the shucks from around us; let us lay in the Presence of the Son now these next few days and ripen to the Kingdom of God.

Who do you say this is? 64-1227 P:106 They went straight into Laodicea. Millions and millions, and billions of dollars poured into it, and just... And she's become big and rich, and she builds millions of dollars worth of property and things like that. And to receive the Message? No indeedy. They turn It away. What is it? The husk from away from the wheat. Now, the wheat must be that way to lay in the Presence of the Son to turn to a full Gospel, golden grain for the Master.

In other words as you lay in the presence of the son, you begin to ripen, to mature that you realize if you have anything it is Him that works in you to will and to so, and besides that we have nothing of our own accord. he is the author and finisher, he is the one who began the work in you and he will finish it. So you mature, you wise up, you get sweet and ripen and grow in wisdom and knowledge of Him.

70 Now, look, if Moses... Oh, brother, here's going to be an insult. But if Moses... As Paul said here in II Corinthians the 3rd chapter, if Moses had to veil his face with that type of glory upon him... See, because that was natural glory; that was a natural law. And if Moses... Knowing that that law had to perish... But the glory was so great that it blinded the people, so they had to put a veil over his face, how much more will It be? (Spiritual blinded people... Uh-huh.) That glory was to fade away, but this glory won't fade away. See? Moses had the carnal law, the condemnation, no grace, no nothing; it just condemned you. But this we're speaking about... That had no pardon; that just told you what you was. This gives you a way out. And when that Word is unveiled, oh, my, what kind of a face will It be? It'll have to be veiled. It's got to be veiled. Now, notice, so the Spirit is veiled in a human temple (See?); he to speak the natural words with a natural veil...

71   Now, Paul speaking here now, and in this sense, the Spirit-Word, "We are ministers, not of the letter, the law, but able ministers of the Spirit," that the Spirit takes the letter and manifests It. That was just law; you had to go look at it, say, "Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not lie. Thou shall not do this, that, or the other." See? You had to look at that.  But this is Spirit that comes upon the promised Word for this age, and brings forth, and manifests, not two tables of stone, but the Presence of the living God: not a mythical thought somebody made up or some Houdini trick, but the very promise of God revealed and made manifest right before us. What sort of a veil will that be behind? And to lose that...

2 Corinthians 4:1  Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2  But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.  3  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.  For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

72 See, that was so great till even the people said; they said when they seen Jehovah come down in this Pillar of Fire and begin to shake the earth, and the things He done, and the mountain on fire, and even if anybody tried to go to that mountain, perished... It was so great till even Moses feared the quake. Then if that time He shook just the mountain, this time He will shake heavens and earth. What about this glory? If that was veiled by a natural veil, this is veiled by a spiritual veil. So don't try to look at the natural; break into the Spirit and see where you're at, see what hour we're living in.

Let us pray...
